like riot grrl as a scene wasn’t like woopsie daisy can’t believe no WOC wanted to sign up and join us there was legitimate hostility towards WOC during that movement that’s been documented as well as the inability for many riot grrls to understand intersections of oppression and their own role in upholding it

i mean sonically and aesthetically you can like the riot grrl movement but lets not pretend like there wasn’t huge and glaring flaws about it like every other feminist wave or scene that was primarily white women

Music memoirs. Preferably not Dave grohls... I used to read a ton but almost every book I've read in the past two years has been a music memoir. I find it interesting to read about the artists I like/want to know more about. I've read high school by Tegan and Sara, crying in h mart by Michelle zauner, T****** by Laura Jane Grace, hunger makes me a modern girl by Carrie Brownstein and I just started reading the spitboy rule by Michelle Cruz Gonzales. I feel like there's more I'm forgetting. Anyways, any suggestions?? Also no offense to Dave grohl fans I just know I'm going to get a lot of those comments...
