"I just took a DNA test turns out I'm 100% that bitch! Even when I'm crying crazy." You sing on top of a rooftop, your Spider Suit hugging your body. Karen (an artificial intelligence user interface created by and installed in your Spider Suit by Tony Stark) had turned on your swinging playlist that you had created last month. You pause your singing to takea bite of your sandwich you'd gotten from the deli a few blocks down, savoring its sweet and salty flavors.
Being New York's Spider-Man/Woman was absolutely exhausting. Yet, the thrill of it all was worth it. You smiled, content with the knowledge that you were making a difference in the city. You had to balance your heroic tasks with your everyday life, but it was worth it. You felt proud to be able to help people in need and make a difference in the world. You had found your true purpose. Sometimes you'd fear for the people you loved. You didn't want them to get involved in the crime you fought everyday. You kept doing your best to protect them while taking on the criminals. You knew that you were making a change and that's what kept you going.
Jenna, your girlfriend and also an upcoming actor didn't know exactly who you were. She thought you had a normal job, and thought you were just an ordinary person. She had no idea that you were Spider-Man/Woman, risking your own life to save others. You were afraid to tell her the truth, but at the same time you wanted her to know the truth. You decided maybe one day you could tell her hope she would understand.
You freeze your dancing and chewing, seeing a group of thugs walking into an alleyway. You knew you had to act fast, so you shoved the remaining half of your sandwich into your mouth, pulling down your mask. "Karen! Pause my playlist please." You asked the AI assistant installed in your mask. You started running, jumping off the roof and shooting a web out towards the alleyway, determined to protect your neighborhood.
You followed them, keeping a safe distance, and watched as they opened a door in the back of the alleyway. The door revealed a secret hideout with a large stash of weapons. You web yourself to a corner of the hideout, waiting for an opportune moment to act. Suddenly, the door opened and several armed men entered the hideout. You knew you had to act fast and without hesitation. You quickly webbed one of the thugs to the nearest wall.
"It's Spider-Man/Woman!"
The other thugs were taken by surprise raising their weapons at you. "Now that's no way to treat company!" You say with a smirk under your mask. "I was on my lunch break before this!" You fired a web at the thugs and they were suspended in mid-air, helpless. You quickly zip around the room, disarming each thug and taking their weapons.
You turn to the last one, still suspended in the air, and say "Let that be a lesson to you. Don't mess with me on my lunch break." Before you fire another web, your phone vibrates. You drop to the ground, pulling it out of your tight pocket and read the contact name, which reads "Jenna" Face-Timing you.
Really? Now? When you're fighting criminals? The thug attempts to attack you with a crowbar, but you dodge it easily holding up a finger. "Dude, please? I gotta text my girlfriend."
The thug stops, stunned, and laughs. He throws the crowbar to the side, shaking his head. "Man, you got some serious priorities. Alright, go ahead and text your girl, I'll wait."
The thug stepped back and crossed his arms. He watched with amusement as you texted away, trying to explain to Jenna you were too busy to Face-Time. After a few moments you put away your phone, turning back to the thug. "Alright, I'm ready." The thug grinned, showing off his broken teeth. He took a step forward and raised his fist. "Let's get this started then," he said.
You took a deep breath and squared your shoulders, preparing for the fight. The thug lunged forward, but you were ready, dodging his attack and counterattacking with a flurry of punches and kicks. In a few short seconds, the thug lay on the ground, defeated.
"Karen could you call this in and call Jenna back for me?" You nicely ask the AI, Karen responded, "Yes, of course. I am calling Jenna now." Karen connected Jenna to a call and the police were dispatched.
You web away from the scene, as Jenna answers and you hear her lovely voice. "Hey, where are you?" You answer, "I'm at home. I just got back from Feast. " Jenna is suspicious but you assure her that you were just busy helping your Aunt.
She reluctantly believes you, "Oh, okay. Well, I have good news!" You swing low in the streets, dodging cars to entertain yourself. She continues, "I got the role!" You nearly get hit by a car, but move just in time. You yell with joy, "That's great! Congratulations!" Jenna laughs and tells you how excited she is about the new role. You talk to Jenna for a few more minutes, sharing your excitement about her news. "How about I take a shower and come to your place?"
"Orrrr," She trails off, "I come to your place and we use your vinyl player and celebrate over dinner?" You hesitantly agree. Were you going to make it back home in time to shower, prepare dinner, change, and beat her there? You start swinging off your webs faster, hoping not to run into anything with the speed you're going. You see your apartment building in the distance and you're relieved. You quickly swing inside from your open window. You turn around to close your window, but your heart drops when you hear a gasp behind you.
You spin around to find your girlfriend standing in the doorway, her mouth agape. How did she get here so fast?! You stand there frozen, unsure what to say. She stares at you, her eyes wide and searching for answers. Your heart beats faster as you try to come up with an explanation. You take a deep breath and take off your mask throwing it somewhere in your room as you open your mouth about to speak.
You finally blurt out, "It's not what it looks like!" She looks at you skeptically and you can tell she doesn't believe you. You take a step back, trying to figure out how to convince her otherwise. You open your mouth to explain, but no words come out. You sigh, "Okay, maybe it is what it looks like."
She stares at you, and you take a step closer to her. You reach out to take her hands in yours. She flinches and pulls away, but you continue to hold out your hands, looking into her eyes. She takes them, and you squeeze her hands, letting her know that you understand. "I wanted to tell you."
"Why haven't you?" "I was scared," You say. "I thought you wouldn't believe me, or worse, that you would think I was crazy. And I don't want you to get hurt because of me." She nods, letting go of your hand to run a hand down your cheek. It was a claw scratch from months ago, a battle you had with The Black Cat.
"What happened here? I’m now starting to realize it wasn’t Ms. Browns cat." You take a deep breath and tell her about the fight, and the superhuman strength of the cat, and how you managed to get away. You tell her about the strange feelings you have been having lately, and how you think something strange is going on. She listens quietly, her face a mix of concern and understanding.
"Are we okay?" You ask, your voice barely above whisper. She smiles softly and takes your hand again. "We're okay. I believe you, and I'm not going anywhere," she says, her voice gentle but strong. "We'll figure this out together." She gives your hand a reassuring squeeze. You take a deep breath, the tight knot in your chest loosening a bit. You can do this, with her by your side.
You nod, your eyes meeting hers. She smiles again and brings your hands to her lips, kissing them softly. You feel a warmth rush through your body as you realize that, together, you can take on anything. You pull her into a hug, your hearts beating in time.
You whisper in her ear that you love her and she whispers it back, her breath tickling your neck. Holding each other, you guys are okay. You stay like that for a few minutes, before finally pulling away. You both laugh and she takes your hand in hers, the warmth of her skin instantly grounding you. You walk together towards the future, ready to take on the world.
"So, Black Cat. What's she like?" She grinned, her eyes twinkling with mirth. You playfully roll your eyes at the question, "A real wildcat and a tease." You smiled, "You kind of remind me of her." Jenna looks at you, a brow raised. "I remind you of one of your villains?" You chuckle, "In some ways. But that's why I like her. She keeps me on my toes." Jenna grins and shakes her head, "I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult."
You laugh, glad your girlfriend took everything so well. You didn't know what you would do if you lost her over your secret identity. Jenna puts her arm around you and says, "I'm just glad you're here with me. I love you no matter what." You smile and kiss her forehead, relieved that you could share your secret with her and that she accepted it.
After you change, shower, and prepare dinner Jenna and you spend the rest of the night talking about your powers and how you got them. You feel a connection to her that you didn't before, because you can now be open and honest with her. You are grateful for her understanding and love.
Jenna steps out of the apartment as her phone rings, and you lay down on the sofa, relieved as you watch TV. You feel like you can finally take a deep breath and enjoy the night's calm.
Outside of your apartment door, Jenna answers her phone. A known voice is on the other end. "Kingpin," Jenna murmurs into her phone, sighing. "Hey Felicia," Jenna grits her teeth together in anger. "That's not my name anymore. I left it behind along with that life." Jenna pauses for a moment, her heart racing as she remembers her old life. She takes a deep breath and continues. "I'm not going back." Kingpin laughs, a mocking sound that grates on Jenna's nerves. "You know I can find you wherever you wander."
"Listen," she says firmly, her voice full of determination. "I'm done with the old me. I'm creating a new life, and I'm not going to let anyone drag me back." She takes a deep breath and straightens her posture, her eyes blazing with determination. "I'm done with crime."
"But is it done with you?" I've seen you on the TV. Trying to convince everyone and yourself that you're a good person." Kingpin replies, on the other side of the phone. "I know what you're trying to do, I can tell. But you can't run away from who you are." Jenna remains silent, not knowing what to say.
He continues, "Or do I have to touch that spider of yours to remind you?" Jenna takes a deep breath, feeling like a million thoughts are running through her head. "You won't get the chance," she says angry. "If you or your goons show your face in New York, you're done with."
He laughs. "I admire your courage, Jenna," he says. "But don't forget who you're dealing with. I'm not some kind of joke." The line clicks, and the call is disconnected. Jenna takes another deep breath, trying to calm down. She knows she's made a powerful enemy, and she's not sure what to do next. She has to be careful, she knows. She can't let her guard down. But she also knows that she has to stay strong and fight for what she believes is right.
Suddenly, the door opens and Jenna comes back, a small smile on her face. "You okay?" You ask, concerned. Jenna nods and smiles, not wanting to worry you. She takes your hand and leads you away, ready to take on whatever comes next.
Jenna jumps at a noise emanating from your bedroom. With your super-hearing you can hear it clearly. "Oh, when you walk by every night. Talking sweet and looking fine, I get kinda hectic inside."
"Sorry," you mumble, embarrassed. "That's Karen playing my swinging playlist." Jenna's face relaxes in relief, and she smiles. You take her hand and lead her to the bedroom. You ask Karen to turn up the music, and you both start dancing to the music coming from your mask. You both laugh as you twirl around the room, forgetting the world outside. As the song ends, you pull Jenna close and kiss her. You both agree that there's no better way to spend your Saturday night.

vagabond
my batfam obsession has finally come in handy (reader is like, late teens, early twenties??)
This was meant to be a drabble, but I went a teeny tiny bit overboard, and by overboard, I mean this is 5.6k words - there will also definitely be a part two <33
Enjoy :)) Or don't. I can't tell you what to do

“Okay,
Let’s do this one last time
My name?? You don’t need to know my name. All you need to know is that I was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for the last six years, I’ve been the one, and only, Recluse.
….what? Spiderman?
No, no, none of that nonsense. That’s so overused. Plus, I’m a woman, and Spiderwoman just feels like a bit of a mouthful.
Yeah… Recluse. I was bitten by a recluse spider.
…ironically, I hate spiders.”
****
Hear me out.
You’re a Spider person(??), involved in the Spider verse. You have the usual Spiderman backstory (sort of), and you’ve got the same incredible senses and abilities. I imagine you having a slightly superior spider sense and speed compared to other Spiders – think Cindy Moon. And obviously, the name, Recluse, means you were bitten by a recluse spider (I fucking hate spiders), but that also means that you get all the qualities of a recluse spider. Mainly necrotic venom and the ability to camouflage. You can’t exactly turn invisible, you just have the uncanny ability of blending in like a chameleon. It’s kind of creepy, I won’t lie.
Regardless of your abilities, you were there when Miguel lost his temper and when Miles ran away.
Except you made the mistake of trying to help Miles. Why wouldn’t you? He was just a child, and he only wanted to keep his family safe. Anyone else would’ve done the same in his position. Suffice it to say, that pissed Miguel off. Majorly.
And while Miles managed to get away without a dimension-travelling watch, you weren't as fortunate. You fought tooth and nail with other Spiders, not wanting to hurt them and not wanting to get caught. You barely managed to escape with your life as you tapped a random location into your watch and zapped off to another earth without a second thought or a proper plan. But not before the Spiders giving chase had managed to damage your watch (and you - they’re strong as fuck, of course they managed to do some damage).
Now, as you stand on an empty rooftop, examining your watch in the rain, you're beginning to think you may have fucked up.
Slightly.
The watch still prevents you from glitching, you've confirmed that much. Thank goodness.
But it is broken. You know it is. Because you can't reach anyone else in the Spider verse. And you can't see what universe you're in. You feel like you’ve been thrown in the deep end, and the fact that you can barely stand doesn’t help.
****
Stood in the rain on a rooftop in the middle of nowhere, injured and all but stranded, was not how you had planned on spending your Saturday night.
As you distractedly tinker with the watch in a pathetic attempt to fix it, grumbling to yourself about your ruined weekend place, your spider sense goes haywire, ringing so loudly in your ears that your head spins.
You're so disoriented that you barely manage to dodge the dagger thrown your way.
A dagger that's... shaped like a plane? No, it looked more like a bird?
You step back cautiously as a man emerges from the shadows, jumping down from a ledge just above your head.
He’s dressed strangely, which is one hell of a statement coming from you, someone dressed in a skintight spider suit. But-
“Really? A cape? Isn’t that, like, super impractical?”
The question leaves your mouth before you can think about it, but really – did Edna Mode teach people nothing?
He walks closer without a word. His silence is almost as unsettling as his gaze. It feels as if he’s dissecting you. He keeps a safe distance between the two of you.
Hm, he’s not completely lacking in the common-sense department, at least.
Then, after much deliberation, he speaks.
“That light- you fell from the sky?”
His voice was cautious, every word measured and serious. His eyes scanned you from top to bottom, taking in your appearance without a word.
You sigh and prop a hand on your hip, trying to appear nonchalant, trying desperately not to wince at the flaring pain in your ribs. You were in no position to fight, so you’d either have to run, or talk your way to safety.
If there was one thing you were good at, it was talking.
“Yep. You’re so observant.”
He scowls, his mouth pinching slightly at the corners.
Okay, maybe sassing the man with a dorky superhero cape isn’t a great idea… At least, not while I can barely stand.
So you change tactics.
“I’m sorry, I just- Look, uh, where exactly am I?”
The look on his face tells you that that was not the right question to ask.
Great. A sceptic. That’s exactly what I needed.
So you backtrack, laughing awkwardly as you wave your hands dismissively.
“That was a… a joke- A terribly timed joke. I apologise. Uh, your suit is… nice?”
Now he seems more exasperated than cautious, and he takes a step closer, reaching a hand out towards you.
Your spider sense flares, and you know that something about this man is dangerous. He appears young and relatively harmless, but appearances can be deceiving, you of all people know that.
So, you do the only thing you can think of at that moment. The only command your instincts give you. You jump away.
You jump.
And, naturally, you stick to the wall.
It’s nothing. It’s such a small action, one you’re more than accustomed to. You do it all the time, climbing walls and ceilings, scaling the sides of buildings. Other Spiders do it too. Even the civilians back on your own earth are used to it.
But it’s not nothing.
The man before you seems stunned beyond words, his outstretched hand hanging in midair as his jaw drops. He stares at you as you stand there, exactly perpendicular to him, sticking to the wall and defying all laws of nature as if it’s nothing.
His hand clenches in a fist and he reaches for a bo staff, the metal snapping loudly as he swings it outwards, the leather of his glove creaking as he tightens his grip.
“Who are you? Your name. Now.” he demands, his jaw clenched tightly.
You tilt your head.
Was this guy an idiot? The first rule of secret identities is that they’re, y’know, secret?
“Oh, well, I’m Recluse. Who are you?”
He ignores your question, slowly approaching you again, looking at you curiously. It might have seemed innocent to a third party, but your head was still ringing. You couldn’t let this man get too close to you.
You sigh heavily.
Running it is.
You point your arm outwards, startling the man, who takes a wary step back. Before he can react or reach for you, you shoot a web out and swing away. His bo staff slams against the wall seconds after you leapt from it, the wall denting and crumbling from the force of his swing.
The look on his face was priceless, first fear at the sight of you jumping over the edge of the building, then surprise, then a flash of anger as you mockingly saluted him as you swung away. You’d laugh if your ribs didn’t feel like they were seconds away from shattering.
You swing through the unfamiliar city, the buildings passing by you in a flash. Coming to a stop is painful, your head swimming as you nearly slam into the side of an apartment building.
Thank God for spider-like adhesion.
You sit there for a long moment, taking a second to catch your breath and gather your bearings.
After you've managed to shake the dizziness away, you swing to the street down below.
While you think over your piss poor plan of finding some civilian clothing and learning more about this universe, you try to ignore the aching throb in your ribs. You weren’t too concerned about the injury – one advantage of being Spiderwoman was that you healed at an incredible rate. You’d just have to grin and bear until you healed.
****
Wayne Enterprises.
They specialised in a whole lot, but all that really interested you was their science division. In particular, the tech and biotech sector. The company seemed eerily similar to variations of other mega corporations you’d seen in your time travelling through the multiverse.
Stark Enterprises. Alchemax. Oscorp Industries. Roxxon Energy Corporation.
The list was endless, but you’d decided, after hours spent in a cramped internet café doing informal research on the strange dimension you found yourself in, that investigating Wayne Enterprises was the best place to start if you hoped to ever fix the watch and return home.
Your plan of action was simple. Scratch that, it was terrible - held together with little more than hopes and prayers. But with your abilities, you were confident you could pull it off.
That’s how you found yourself confidently walking through the foyer of Wayne Enterprises, acting as if you were supposed to be there. Swiping an access card off of some poor, unsuspecting office worker was easier than it should have been.
You wandered around the reception area for a while, carefully surveying the room before approaching the elevator with the air of someone who knew where they were going.
There’ll be signs for each division… Right?
Wrong.
Twenty minutes later, you’re still wandering aimlessly through corridors, hoping the right room would magically present itself to you.
So caught up in your own frustrated musings, you nearly miss the department you’d spent almost an hour looking for.
The sign above the door is pathetic - faded and barely visible, peeling and yellowed at the edges, like some old poster left out in the sun to age.
Shoving your irritation to the back of your mind, you quietly open the door, wincing as it creaks. Popping your head through the gap, you peek around the small room, and-
Nothing.
It’s completely empty, the thick layer of dust settled over the countertops seeming to mock your failure of a heist.
A silent huff of annoyance is all you allow yourself, quickly shutting the door and continuing on your way. Determination fuels your every step, intent to find something, anything, so that your breaking-and-entering excursion wouldn’t be for nothing.
****
Success.
You definitely weren’t supposed to be in here. Not that you were supposed to be in the building in general, but this?
‘This’ being what appeared to be the CEO’s personal office, if the floor to ceiling windows and expensive leather furniture was anything to go by.
You’d long since discarded any pretence of searching for the biotech department. Now, you were just snooping around, curious to see what exactly the CEO of Wayne Enterprises had laying around.
Naturally, you’d come across a few pictures of him in your investigation of Wayne Enterprises, and all you’d thought about the moment you’d seen his photo, was that Bruce Wayne was undoubtedly one of the most attractive men you’d ever met.
If you weren’t caught in such a dire situation, you might have taken the time to fawn over him a while longer.
The office is odd. There’s something about it that you can’t quite put your finger on, something uncanny. Maybe it’s that lack of colour or warmth, or the lack of any personal effects.
But that couldn’t be it. You’d seen plenty of rooms similarly decorated, but there was something about this in particular that set your hair on end. Not your spider sense, but your unconscious mind.
It almost felt as if you were being… observed. As if an unseen force was breathing down your neck, pinning you in place.
You distract yourself from your ever growing unease, pulling open drawers and rifling through cabinets.
What an obscene amount of paperwork.
Truly, you don’t expect to find anything exciting or noteworthy. Maybe an office cellarette, maybe a Courtesan cigar.
What you don’t expect is to find the parts you needed to fix your watch.
The parts that were supposed to have been in the biotech department.
Before you have much time to contemplate about why the tech worth billions is shoved behind a bookshelf, the door opens.
You’re on the ceiling before he even enters the room, your breath tight in your chest, the klystron conductor clutched firmly in your fist as you try not to make any sudden movements.
Certain abilities you’d gotten as a result of the spider that bit you came in handy more often than not, namely the capability to survive weeks, if not months without food or water, and the preternatural proficiency you had hunting at night. Most useful had to be your camouflage abilities.
And while you were able to camouflage yourself, it came with its own set of drawbacks and caveats. Specifically in the fact that it was a camouflaging ability, not invisibility.
If you moved too suddenly, even someone unaware would notice you.
It takes you a moment to realise that the man is Bruce Wayne.
He looks different than in the photos - his back is broader, his hair darker, and his eyes…
His eyes-
Your head feels like it’s being split open, a buzzing so persistent filling your ears that you almost slip off the wall, your adhesion faltering for a moment.
There had been one or two stories within the Spider Society, of moments where someone's spider sense had gone so haywire they couldn’t tell up from down. There’d been a time where, supposedly, someone had even passed out from the pounding pressure in their skull.
Initially, you’d thought it was an exaggeration, a newfound hero overplaying a fight gone wrong in an attempt to save face.
Now, as he surveys the room, his azure eyes lingering on you for a moment longer than they should, you understand what they meant.
Panic isn’t enough to describe how you feel at that moment.
You feel too exposed, your nerves raw and laid bare.
It… almost feels as if he knows you’re there.
But that’s not possible. There’s no way.
You allow yourself the slightest sigh of relief, releasing the searing breath in your chest as he turns, moving towards his desk.
His silhouette is broad and domineering as he bows over his laptop, the sound of his tapping at the keys filling the sweltering silence of the room.
With his back turned towards you, you take your chance, slowly, so slowly making your way across the room, still sticking to the ceiling all the while.
You pause for a moment, freezing when you catch a glimpse of what exactly is on his screen.
The camera feed.
There you are.
Entering his office with a wide eyed look on your face.
And-
And that’s you, barely ten minutes ago, rifling through drawers and shelves.
He pauses then, on the frame of you holding the klystron conductor with a satisfied smile and a slight sparkle in your eyes. He sighs heavily, his head dropping forward as he taps two fingers against the tabletop.
You don’t linger to see his reaction, dropping down from the ceiling and slinking out the ajar door.
****
After you’d hightailed it out of the building as soon as you could, you hadn’t dared to look back.
That man… Something about him set your nerves on edge. He wasn’t normal.
Thankfully, you’d managed to get out without much hassle, and now you were wandering somewhat aimlessly through the city, looking for a place to set up shop, so to speak.
Spying a seemingly abandoned building across the street, you decided it would have to do for now.
As you cross the road, aiming for the darkened alleyway across the road, you’re slammed off of your feet.
By a car.
Someone hit you with a goddamn car.
You lay there, in the entryway of the alley, gasping for breath as you press your forehead to the wet concrete beneath you. But no matter how deeply you breathe, you can’t seem to force yourself to your feet.
Spider sense my ass – what the fuck was that?! No warning, nothing!
The edges of your vision turn black, and you pray that you don’t pass out as a pair of polished black leather shoes approach you.
A man crouches down in front of you, his words drowned out by the ringing in your ears.
He reaches out to you, intent on pressing his palm to your shoulder.
You pass out before he can touch you.
****
You might’ve been unconscious for a few hours or or a few weeks. You weren’t sure.
All you knew was that you were in what appeared to be a medical facility, and you were restrained.
On the bright side, you felt a ton better than you had before you passed out. Though a look around proved that it might have been because of whatever concoction of drugs they’d given you to numb the pain.
Well, with your increased metabolism, that comfort probably wouldn’t last too long.
You lay back, content to stay there until a doctor or nurse came in to check on you.
Twenty minutes later, long after the medication had worn off, someone entered the room.
The man, grey-haired and dressed in an immaculately pressed tuxedo, pauses for a moment when he realises that you’re awake before continuing on his course towards you and proceeding to check your vitals.
“How long have you been awake, Miss?”
You don’t respond.
Or rather, you can’t.
Pain grips you like a vice, wrapping its fingers around your abdomen, digging its claws into your skull.
Stupid damned metabolism.
Apparently, your pain and distress are visible enough for the old gentleman to see.
He frowns, leaning closer slightly for a moment before striding towards a row of cabinets, sifting through them before returning with a needle and a small glass vial. He squints slightly as he fills the needle.
A lot of what happens after that is lost to you in your pained daze. You’re awake, aware, but barely.
The older man is gone by the time you manage to pull yourself out of the strange, aching daze.
In his stead is Bruce Wayne.
The heart monitor betrays your panic, the sharp beeping filling the echoing space of the room.
He doesn’t speak or move from his spot beside your bed, instead observing you with a flat look as your heart rate slowly evens out again.
After a long bout of silence, he hold up a hand, waving it slightly, and-
And he’s holding the klystron conductor.
Of course.
“Do you want to tell me why you were ransacking my office for a multibillion dollar piece of tech?”
Your hands clench and unclench around the stiff sheets, and you lick your lips before responding.
“No, not particularly.”
You pause.
“Do you want to tell me why you hit me with your car?”
The corner of his mouth twitches.
He finds this funny?! What a psycho.
“Well, you did steal from me.”
“So you hit me with a car?!”
He raises an eyebrow, seemingly unimpressed with your raised tone.
“Regardless… I’m guessing it has something to do with this.”
Every muscle in your body goes rigid as he holds up your watch, casually dangling it from his forefinger as he carefully observes you for any signs of a reaction.
Okay, okay, just… play it cool.
“What, a watch? Pfft, keep it, it’s not worth much. Just some piece of crap I won in a claw machine ten years ago.”
Your knuckles are white from the force of your grip as you all but strangle the bed sheets beneath your grasp.
He smirks slightly, nodding empathetically.
“Ah, of course. So, you won’t mind if I toss it in the trash, right? Since it’s just an old piece of crap and all that?”
You shrug, keeping your eyes on his and away from the watch. “Go for it.”
And he does.
He tosses it in the trash can beside your cot, still watching closely from some reaction.
You remain nonchalant.
“...hm, well. Rest up then. You’ll need all your energy- Prison in Gotham is a harsh place.”
You blanch.
“Prison? But- But technically I didn’t even steal! You got it back, didn’t you?”
His mouth quirks slightly at that.
Great. He finds amusement in my suffering.
“While that’s true, you did break into Wayne Enterprises. And my personal office. I have the evidence. That’s grounds enough for an arrest, wouldn’t you agree?”
He stands, sliding his hands into his pockets and taking a casual stance.
Fine. I can play along for a bit.
“...okay. I-I’m sorry. Fine, you can hand me over to the cops, just- Just please let me rest for a bit? I think you might’ve concussed me.”
He huffs a laugh, his eyes lighting up in amusement. He knows you’re lying. And you know he knows.
“Okay. Take all the time you need.”
He leaves without another word, not looking back.
And not a moment too soon.
As the door shuts, you glitch, painfully spasming, your cells electrified and fizzing.
You fall out the cot, collapsing onto the floor as you grip the edge of the trash can, rifling through it in your search for the watch.
Slipping it onto your wrist and tightening the clasp, you-
…this isn’t my watch.
The door opens again and in strolls the culprit, a self-satisfied look in his eyes.
“Just a piece of junk, huh?”
“Oh, fuck y-”
You almost bite your tongue off mid sentence as you glitch again, clinging to the railing of the cot as your muscles stiffen up and your blood roils in your veins.
He’s speaking, confused and panicked as he calls out to you, and then someone else, rushing towards you. You think his hands might be on your arms. You aren’t sure.
Then it’s over. You’re hunched over, all but sprawled on the sparkling white tiles, shivering and sweaty, fighting the urge to throw up.
But it’s over.
You squint up at Bruce.
His face is hazy, and so is the figure behind his.
Everything is hazy, but you can feel the strap of your watch on your wrist, his hand just above it. You can feel how dry your mouth is, and the pounding of the growing migraine in your temples. And you can feel your spider sense tickling the edge of your consciousness, slowly growing in urgency with each passing moment.
“What the hell was that?”
The voice is a new one, one you haven’t heard before. It belongs to the figure lingering behind Bruce.
His face comes into focus as the effects of your glitch wear off.
Blue eyes. Just as startling and off putting as Bruce’s.
In fact, he seems like a carbon copy. Almost. His skin seems slightly more tanned, and he’s leaner than his older companion. Shorter too, though just by a few inches.
“That…” you say in a weary manner, “was a glitch. A painful one. I don’t recommend trying it.”
“A glitch?”
You deadpan, pushing yourself into a sitting position, leaning against the wall adjacent to your cot for support.
“Yeah. I just said that. Pay attention.”
“So that watch keeps you from… ‘glitching’ then?”
Bruce and his companion sport matching expressions of intrigue and dread.
“Yep. Ten points to Gryffindor.”
“...what’s a Gryffindor?”
Good God, I should’ve let Miguel kill me.
“...doesn’t matter. I’ve overstayed my welcome.”
You get up with an embarrassing amount of difficulty, grunting as you pull yourself up using the cot’s railing. Your enhanced healing could only work so fast, it seemed, and clearly Bruce had done a number on you with the bumper of his car.
The short stride to the door is cut short as the young Bruce lookalike steps in front of you.
“Sorry, but we can’t let you leave just yet. Where exactly are you from?”
“Earth. Please move.”
“I can’t do that. You should sit back down, you don’t look too hot.”
You let out a strangled noise of disbelief.
“Excuse me, I look very hot. All the time.”
A deadpan look is all you’re granted in response.
That’s it, I’ve had enough.
“Seriously. Move.”
“No. Sit down.”
Bruce sighs, massaging the bridge of his nose as you and his mini-me engage in a stare down.
“Okay, that’s enough. Dick, back up. Miss, please, sit down before you hurt yourself.”
You pause, glancing at Bruce, then back at the man in front of you.
There’s a slight pause, and then-
You burst into a fit of giggles, clutching your pained ribs as you stumble back and collapse onto the cot.
“Your name is Dick? Dick? Seriously?”
His eyes harden at your laughter, his mouth pressed in a tight line.
“...it’s not that funny,” he mutters, unimpressed.
“Yeah it is. Who willingly allows themselves to be called Dick? I can think of six penis jokes off the top of my head. You’re practically begging for them.”
Bruce interjects before either one of you can continue, sending Dick a sharp look.
Ha. Dick.
“That’s enough. What I want to know is why you’re glitching. And you won’t be going anywhere until I find out.”
You deadpan, fixing him with an incredulous look.
“...no offence, but you can’t really keep me here.”
“I can, and I will.”
You snort, laughter bubbling up in your chest once more.
“No, I mean- You can try, but you probably won’t succeed. No hard feelings though.”
“What, you mean because of your superpowers? Trust me, they won’t do you much good around here.”
His words give you pause, and you stare up at him silently for a moment.
“I don’t- What are you talking about?”
“There’s no use playing dumb,” Dick interjects. “It won’t get you very far. We know about your abilities, and we’re telling you that we know about them so that you don’t try anything.”
“And what exactly do you plan on doing if I do try something? Money can only get you so far.”
Your words make Bruce’s mouth twitch into a small smile once again.
“I have a theory, one I hope you’ll entertain for a moment.”
He looks at you expectantly.
After a moment of deliberation, a heavy sigh, and a nod, he smiles in a self-satisfied manner and takes a seat on the foot of your bed. After a short nod to Dick, he exits the room, leaving you and Bruce alone.
“I think that you’re from Earth, like you said. Just not this Earth. I think that you’re from another universe or dimension, and you’re ‘glitching’ because you’re not meant to be here. Am I right?”
It’s an effort to hide your reaction and keep your face blank, but you manage. Barely.
“Well, that’s certainly an… interesting theory. What sparked that idea?”
He shifts, staring at you for a moment, resting his palms on his thighs.
“...you fell from the sky. Out of what I can only assume is a portal. And your cells are basically decaying without that watch- or at least, that’s what my colleagues at Star Labs tell me.”
You stiffen at his words, squinting for a beat.
“How do you know I came through a portal? The only person around then was that idiot with the cape.”
Bruce frowns at your words.
“The cape isn’t stupid. It’s practical.”
You deadpan. “It’s a deathtrap.”
“Regardless. I know about all that because…”
He pauses.
“Because I’m Batman.”
“...Batman? Is that supposed to be a superhero alias or something? That’s the dumbest name I’ve ever heard- Did you pick it yourself?”
He lets out a noise of exasperation, annoyance painting his features.
“Stop doing that.”
“Doing what?”
“Changing the topic. It’s annoying.”
“...sorry.”
He shakes his head. “So? Am I correct in my assumption?”
You take a moment to think, really think, weighing your options. He didn’t seem like a bad person. Yes, he did hit you with his car. And yes, he wouldn’t let you leave, but…
But your spider sense had gone radio silent. If you were in any danger, it’d be ringing like crazy, so…
“Yes. Yeah, you are. I’m not from this Earth. I’m from Earth 662.”
“Earth… 662?”
“I just said that. Does everyone on this Earth struggle with processing information?”
He fixes you with a stern look before continuing on.
“So I assume you’re stranded here? That’s why you were trying to steal the klystron conductor.”
“Uh uh,” you tut disapprovingly. “I was borrowing it. I would’ve returned it… Eventually.”
Bruce nods along, rolling his eyes slightly as he continues.
“...Earth 662, huh… How many variations of Earth are there then-”
“I can’t tell you that.”
Your response is immediate and stern, leaving no room for debate.
Thankfully, Bruce doesn’t kick up a fuss.
“Hm… Well then, do you know how to get back?”
“Of course I do. I just need to fix up the watch. Hence the little heist I pulled off at your office.”
“And do you know how to fix it?”
You press your mouth into a tight line, avoiding the knowing look he gives you.
“Well, I mean… how hard can it be?”
He sighs. “That’s what I thought you’d say.”
There’s a pause, a lull in the conversation, and neither of you say anything for a long while, both lost in your own thoughts.
“Okay. Here’s what I propose. You obviously don’t know what you’re doing-”
“Hey!”
“-so I’ll help you out. I’ll help fix that watch of yours, and let you stay with me while we try to find you a way back home. In exchange, you’ll tell me about things from your Earth, and about the multiverse. Sound fair?”
As much as you’d like to argue, to refuse his more than generous offer, you know you can’t. You were smart, but not in the areas needed to fix the watch.
You needed his help.
Damn it.
“...fine. Deal.”
His hand feels cool and calloused in yours, and his grip is firm and reassuring.
If only you knew then how wrong things would go. Maybe you’d have refused his deal.
****
Four months later.
“...still nothing?”
“No. I’m sorry. I’ve sent Dick to Central City to find a few more parts.”
“It’s not your fault, I just… I really want to go home.”
It had been months.
You’d been stuck on this strange Earth, so similar to your own, for months.
While the Wayne Manor was nice, and its inhabitants lovely, you missed your home. You missed your family.
But there was nothing to be done about it. You’d damaged your watch more than you’d originally thought, the travel mechanism was completely destroyed.
Initially, you’d been foolishly optimistic, believing you’d return home within a week.
But that week had passed. Then another. And another.
Time kept passing, and you were still stuck here, four months later.
At least you had decent company.
While you didn’t exactly trust them, you’d grown fond of them. You might even have begun to consider them friends.
Dick had grown on you over the months, despite the rocky start to your friendship. He was reliable in a way that reminded you too much of the many variations of Peter Parker you’d met throughout your time in the Spider Society.
Tim, who you’d discovered was the ‘idiot in the cape’ you’d met on your first night on this Earth, was just as easy to get along with. At first, he’d thrown you off a bit with his unsociable personality, but he’d slowly opened up over time. Really, he was more of a nerd than anything else.
And he’d heeded your words of wisdom regarding the cape.
Damian, Bruce’s ‘prodigee’, was someone you still had trouble getting along with. Your relationship had improved over the months, but barely. Before, he’d outright ignore your presence. Now, he at least graced you with a nod of acknowledgement or the occasional verbal greeting.
How kind of him.
Bruce had become somewhat of a parental figure after he had walked in on you crying one night. While you were embarrassed, he’d taken it in stride, comforting you as best as he could, reassuring you that they’d find a way to send you back home.
“Oh, I know, I know. We’re all trying our best, just… try to be patient. We’ll find something soon, I promise.”
His palms rest on your shoulders, patting you reassuringly.
You nod in agreement, too tired and disheartened to say anything else as you mumble something about going to bed, turning to leave the room.
****
“And you’re sure no one knows she’s here? If they found out…”
“Yes Dick, I’m sure. I’m not an idiot, I know how to wipe a hard drive.”
There’s a slight lull in conversation as the two wait for the rest of the group to arrive.
A few minutes later, Bruce enters the room, Damian trailing behind him.
He walks to where the two are seated and puts the klystron conductor on the table before them.
“That’s the last one. Have you done everything else?”
Tim nods, gesturing to a singular hard drive placed on the coffee table.
“That’s the only remaining evidence of her presence on this Earth.”
Bruce nods and sighs, looking between the three men with him before Dick interjects.
“Do you- I mean, are we really going to do this? We’re supposed to be the heroes. This… This isn’t something we can undo.”
All three of his companions hold a steely glint in their eyes as they nod.
“I’m sure. It’s better this way. She’s just a kid, she doesn’t know what she needs. She’ll thank us for this in a few years.”
There’s a tense pause for a moment before he speaks again.
“Do it.”
And just like that, the final klystron conductor is destroyed, along with any hope you’d had of returning home.
“...she’ll thank us.”

to love and self loathe
part 1 part 2 part 3 part 4 part 5
Insert Clown Music Take Two
Its been a few weeks already since news and sightings of Spider-Woman being in Gotham had come out. People were theorizing as to why she was in Gotham. Some badmouthing her for leaving New Yorkers to fend for themselves, while others were saying how it was good that she was gone, and she was now Gotham's problem.
The talked-about-vigilante was currently pacing around her apartment, practically pulling her hair out at the fact everyone now knows that she's back, but not in New York.
She should have known that the press would be there at the party. It was Bruce Wayne's party for that matter! Gotham's infamous billionaire playboy! What was she thinking!?
Obviously she wasn't!
And as if to make matters even worse, last night, because of how tired she was, she ended up transferring photos of herself as Spider-Woman into the USB instead of photos of Gotham's vigilantes. She may as well yell at the top of her lungs at Wayne Tower that she was Spider-Woman.
She let out an exasperated groan and flopped down onto her couch. Just thinking about it made her want to jump in front of the subways of Gotham.
"I want you to take pictures of Spider-Woman."
The photographer stumbled a bit when making her way to her boss's desk.
"Pardon?" She blinked incredulously, thinking she had heard wrong.
"With Gotham's vigilantes to be more precise."
The vigilante in question watched as the other woman turned the screen towards her employee as she watched with wide eyes, a shaky video of her, Red Hood, and Nightwing fighting against Black Mask's men.
She felt her mouth become dry and the way her heart practically dropped down to her feet.
Of course there were reporters at the party.
"Ma'am, I don't think it's necessary to try and capture pictures of Spider-Woman." The photographer quickly tried to dissuade. "I mean, for all we know, she might have already left!"
"Nonsense." The older woman waved her employee's unnoticed pleas away. Turning her computer back towards her, the Spider could see a newfound glint in her boss' eyes.
"It's obvious she's here for a reason." Looking away from her screen, she stared at the Spider. "You've taken plenty of pictures of her back in New York, I'm sure this'll be easy work for you. Maybe you can even get Spider-Woman to do an interview with you."
"With all due respect—"
The office phone on the woman's desk began to ring, cutting the vigilante off. She watched the woman quickly pick it up, beginning to converse with the person on the other side.
All the while, the vigilante continued to stand there, her mind running thousands of miles a minute, trying to figure out how she can get herself out of this situation. It's not until the yell of her name brought her out of her slight state of panic.
Looking up, she saw her boss, face annoyed, office phone still in hand and pressed against her ear. Her hand was held out, her face showing obvious impatience.
Quickly, the photographer took out her USB drive from her camera bag and gave it to her boss who swiftly plugged it into her computer, her file opening.
She watched as her demon of a boss' eyes began to skim through the photos, a grin plastering itself onto her face. The Spider's stomach churned in anxiousness, her hands beginning to fidget with her camera bag.
Shit, what did she do?
"Honestly, you're just pulling at my leg at this point." Her boss started. "Jameson did say you were full of surprises though." She hummed. Looking back at her employee she was full of content now. "These pictures of Spider-Woman will do nicely."
Her heart practically dropped.
"What..?" She croaked out.
"They're from New York but thank god we have photo editors. Keep up the good work." She dismissed the photographer who could only stand there, wide-eyed and speechless.
Her boss all the while continued to talk to the person on the other side of the phone, not paying any attention to her employee anymore.
Coming back to the present, the 'retired' vigilante dragged her hands across her face, silently beating herself up for being so reckless.
Maybe it's not too late to change companies again? She could always try Metropolis. Or maybe head over to Washington in Starling City, she's heard that the views are beautiful over there.
Taking a glance at her phone, she noticed that she still had a full day ahead of her. Turning her head, she stared out her window for a long minute. Maybe going out could help calm her a bit.
With a sigh, she forced herself back onto her feet and put her shoes on, leaving her apartment and letting her feet take her wherever it decided to take her.
---
Her feet ended up taking her to a small coffee shop just a few ways away from her apartment. A different one this time. She didn't think she'd be able to handle the stress if she ended up going back to the same one where she got chased by the two lackeys of Black Mask, and then proceeded to get chased, again.
In the small coffee shop, the Spider found herself a comfy little spot in a corner booth by the window. In front of her was a small cup of coffee, the steam slowly rising from the liquid and dissipating into the slightly colder air.
Staring at the brown liquid, she grimaced while taking a small sip of the hot drink. Gently setting it down, she stared out the window, watching people pass by, cars driving through the streets.
God what was she going to do?
Stay? Go? Make amends with the bats and hope they take her heartfelt apology for even stepping foot into their territory?
Closing her eyes for a moment, she tried thinking of what she was going to do now that she pretty much messed up her chances of starting anew. Her brows furrowed, the sound of the quiet chatter of people in the coffee shop, the honking of cars outside, and the AC in the coffee shop buzzing beginning to slightly distract her.
And then—
"You're not making me do this project all by myself are you?"
Her eyes quickly opened.
"What?"
The woman stared at her boyfriend who had an amused look to his face. Her eyes flitted about. She was in his bedroom, the two of them sitting on the floor. He sat across from her as there was a pile of art and craft supplies between them.
"Everything okay?"
She looked up at the boy, who now looked worried. He reached over, hand gently cupping the side of her face, thumb slightly caressing her cheek.
She blinked a few times. "Uh, yeah, I just.." Her brows furrowed.
She just..?
Huh..
Seems like she's forgotten.
She shook her head, her hand gently pulling his hand away from her face while simultaneously giving it a small squeeze.
"Never mind." She smiled.
He stared at her for a moment, studying her expression before his own eased into a gentle smile.
"If you say so." He hums. "Anyways, we better start on this project. Wanna go grab the glue gun? It's on my desk." He motioned his head to his desk, the glue gun laying there.
Letting out a hum of her own, she got up and walked over to her boyfriend's desk.
"You think Ms. Henderson will notice if we add googly eyes to our..."
When she turns back around, she's no longer in his room. Her casual clothes no longer on her body and instead her Spider-Woman suit.
The glue gun now substituted for a metal beam that was raised over her head.
And in front of her?
"What are you waiting for?" His voice made a chill go down her spine as she stared at him. His malicious grin causing her fight or flight instincts to kick in.
"Aren't you going to kill me?!" The man lunged at her.
A scream of surprise and the sound of glass shattering made the woman quickly open her eyes. Her heart pounded against her chest, breath stuttering. Her eyes flitted about her surroundings, trying to ground herself of where she was at.
"Ma'am." A voice weakly called out to her.
Turning her head, she looked at a female employee who looked scared out of her mind. The Spider's eyes trailed down, her hand tightly gripping at the poor girl's arm.
"Oh..!" Quickly, she let go of the younger woman. Looking up, she saw as everyone's eyes were on her.
Standing up, she opened her mouth to apologize, but the sound of glass crunching beneath her shoes caused her to look down.
Her cup of coffee now broken and splattered all over the ground.
Could her day get any worse?
Embarrassed, she apologized once more, paying for both her coffee and the broken cup. She left a generous tip to the employee before quickly leaving the small shop.
Ducking her head down, she made her way back to her apartment, the sound of his laughter quietly haunting her with each step she took.

W H A C K ! !
"Alright smart-ass, last chance." Jason shoved the barrel of his gun into the goon's jaw, his other hand tight around the collar of his suit.
"Tell me where Sionis is, I'll even make it less painful when I knock you out." He bargained.
"Fine I'll talk! I'll talk!" The goon was quick to give in, putting his hands up in surrender. "He's going to meet up with Penguin at one of his warehouses! On the Southside!"
Jason practically pushed his gun closer to the man's jaw, making it more uncomfortably painful for the henchman.
"This better not be another trick like last time." He snarled.
"It's not! I swear!"
"Good."
Jason hit the man's temple with the butt of his gun. He watched as the man fell, his hand going up and pressing a button on the side of his helmet.
"Found Sionis' location. Heading there now."
"Copy that. Let us know if you need backup." Oracle responded.
"Won't be needing it."
Pulling out his grappling gun, Jason left the building. Swinging from a few buildings, not far, hidden behind a few trash cans, he pulled out his motorcycle.
With a rev of the engine, Jason sped through the streets.
"You think she'll show up tonight?" Stephanie questioned through the comms.
"Who? Spider-Woman?" Dick questioned.
"Not with how Jason intimidated her." Tim snorted.
"Yeah Jason, why'd you have to scare her off?" Steph adds.
Jason rolled his eyes under his helmet. "She doesn't need to be in Gotham. If she wants to save people from thugs, she can go back to New York."
"You sound a lot like someone I know." Tim mocked.
Jason frowned. "Shut it Drake. I'll shove your pole up your—"
Bruce quickly intervened before anything else could happen between his children. "Enough. Focus on patrolling."
"Tt. You all are pathetic." Damian said.
Always had to have the last word.
Jason rolled his eyes once more. Pressing the same button, he turned his comms off, not wanting anyone else to bother him while he dealt with Sionis.
As he got closer to the warehouse, he cruised along the streets before turning into another alleyway. Turning off his bike, he made his way up onto the rooftops, grappling from building to building before landing gracefully on the roof of the warehouse.
Turning his detective vision on, he walked around a bit before finding himself a vent. Ripping it off with ease, a small grunt left him as he barely squeezed through the air vents.
Getting himself deeper into the building, his helmet began to pick up two familiar voices talking: Penguin and Black Mask.
"What? Don't believe me Sionis?" Penguin questioned.
"It's not that I don't believe you Cobblepot. I've just had a few rats lie to me these past few days with some recent deals."
The two crime lords stood face to face, a wooden crate opened with guns in them. Standing behind them respectfully were their multiple goons.
A stock difference between the group of men. Penguin's men looking rugged, donning wife beaters with a few jackets to protect them from the Gotham cold, some of them even wearing random masks and face paint. Sionis' men on the other hand all had suits on, all of them wearing a black mask just like the man they worked under.
There was a good number of them. 20 in total, not counting the two crime lords.
"Ah come on Sionis! You really think I'd backstab you? That'd be bad for business. I even got packed some good ones. See?" Penguin led Sionis over to the wooden crate, making the crime lords let out a low whistle.
"Not bad Cobblepot. How much?"
"How about–"
And then Red Hood could see a bit of movement from the corner of his eye. With a frown, he turned the bioscanner on, and just by their movements he was not pleased.
They slowly climbed down the wall, unnoticed by the other goons as they looked at one of the opened crates
"Just my fucking luck." He hissed, getting himself ready to grab Sionis before she could possibly mess anything else up.
"Woah, that's a lot of guns."
What the hell was she doing here?
Just what the hell was she doing here?
She was only supposed to be taking pictures! Not stopping an illegal gun dealing!
She was just trying to get home, catch a few Z's and then head out to take pictures.
But while getting dressed.. Oh lookie here! She had caught herself putting her spider suit on...
. . .
Okay so maybe she was partly at fault. But it was just out of habit! Wouldn't someone who has been dressing as a hero for years pick it back up after going on a hiatus?
It's not like she missed it or anything...
Also! It was good for her job! Might as well start taking pictures of Spider-Woman again like old times!
. . .
Right..?
..God she hated herself.
She wouldn't let this become a habit again. She swore to stop this hero thing. But then stopping a small burglary turned to stopping a robbery at a shop, to catching lowly criminals spray painting a building, only to then come across a supposed empty warehouse.
And what did she find? An illegal gun dealership between Sionis and some small guy who, oddly enough, reminded her of a penguin.
Sneaking herself inside one of the windows, she set up her camera. Quietly, she swings from a metal beam before quietly dropping down on the unsuspecting men.
Going towards one of the boxes, she gave a small whistle.
"Woah, that's a lot of guns."
Everyone turned towards her while she picked one of them up.
"Oi! Don't touch those!" The short man yelled.
"And they're real?" She weighs the weapon in her hands. "Hey, you guys have a permit for these right?" She looked up at them, only to see they were all pointing the guns at her. "I'll take that as a no."
"Kill her!" Sionis yelled.
Quickly, she jumped in the air as they began to spray bullets at her. Jumping from beam to beam, she shot her webs out at the men, pulling the guns out from their hands and yanking it to hit another goon in the head.
Landing in front of a man, with a fwip of her web, she pulled it out of his hands, waving it around a bit.
"Don't you guys know these are dangerous to use? Could really hurt someone. Woah!" She dodged as another man shot at her.
From the corner of her eye, she saw Sionis and the Penguin guy trying to make a break for it.
"Hey! Leaving so soon!" She called, her webs sticking their feet to the ground. "Don't tell me you're getting cold feet!"
The back of her head slightly tingled, making her quickly jump up in the air as more of both Black Mask's and Penguin's men shot at her.
"Argh! Watch it you idiots!" Penguin yelled.
"Uh, sorry boss!"
They continued to shoot at the Spider, but she continued to jump and weave between them all, making the men have to dodge their own bullets.
Landing in the middle of three men, they pointed their guns at her, about to shoot at her until she jumped up.
"Woah friendly fire you guys!" She exclaimed. Webbing the barrels of their guns to a singular string, she yanked it, causing all three of the men to crash into each other in the middle.
Swinging down as bullets flew at her on one of the beams, she swung down, kicking the same man into the chest. Letting out a yell, the man crashed into another man that was behind him, causing the two to fall back onto the concrete floor.
With a small front flip, Spider-Woman landed on her feet with ease and raised her hands like a gymnast would after finishing their routine.
"What do you guys think? I think that deserves a ten." She looked over at the remaining men who aimed to shoot at her, making her quickly dodge the bullets. "Come on guys, it couldn't be that bad! Yeah I'm rusty but-"
"Would you shut the fuck up!" One of them yelled, pointing his gun and shooting at her more.
Shooting a web, she pulls herself up into the air. "Yeesh.. Tough crowd."
Making a U-turn, she swings back towards the men, but it wasn't until her skull tingled. With wide eyes, she saw Red Hood swinging over to Black Mask and the short guy.
"Hey watch out!" She yelled, but with how fast the two were swinging, she wasn't able to avoid him in time.
Their bodies clashed mid-air, knocking the air out of both of them, mainly Spider-Woman, Red Hood was built like a fridge, and yet she felt like she got hit by a truck.
Grunts coming out of both of them, Red Hood's grip on his grappler slackened a bit, and out of the adrenaline rush, the Spider was able to grab Hood with a web before pulling him towards her.
"Let go..!" He grunts.
"Wait wait wait!!" She panics as her brain began to buzz to life. With a quick glance she can see the goons point their guns at the both of them.
Her mind running hundreds of miles a minute, with her free hand, she tries to swing off in a different direction. While doing so though, one of the bullets had grazed her web shooter, causing the fluid to spring everywhere onto the two vigilantes.
"Ah shit..!"
In an effort to save the two, she took advantage of the fact that the two were already stuck together from the webs and used her other web shooter to shoot out a web to the ceiling of the warehouse, though.. That proved to be fruitless.
The two now hung upside down from the ceiling, chest to chest. The white glowing eyes stared straight back at her white lenses. With a nervous chuckle, she looked at the most likely irritated vigilante.
"You uh.. Come here often?"
W H A C K ! !
Red Hood grunts as one of Sionis' men hits him in the head with the butt of his gun. They all snicker as the two crime lords, finally able to get free from the webbing, walked over to them.
"Some team you two make." Penguin snickers, looking at the two vigilantes.
"We're not a team." Red Hood snarls, before grunting again with another whack to the head.
"Do we kill 'em?" One of Black Mask's looked at his boss.
Black Mask simply shook his head, laughing a bit. "Nah, leave 'em. I'm sure this is a hit to Hood's ego. Better than killing him."
"Grab everything, we're leaving." Penguin orders.
The two criminals and their goons are quick to the leave the warehouse and the two hanging vigilantes as they slowly spun.
The silence between the two was both awkward and tense. Red Hood had a slight crack to his helmet now. Spider-Woman looked anywhere but the large man, a bit afraid of his wrath she might face.
But of course, as every Spider does, they can't help but break silence with a bit of humor.
"So uh.. Nice weath-"
"Don't."
"Sorry."
The two continued to spin in complete silence until Red Hood finally spoke.
"What were you doing here?"
She looked at him, raising a brow, even though he couldn't see her face. "Uh...Stopping an illegal gun deal..?" She answered as if it was the obvious.
"No, what are you still doing here in Gotham." He hissed, looking at her. "I told you, you're not welcomed here. If you want to stop crime, go back to New York."
The Spider opened her mouth, about to respond, but four faces back at New York flashed in her mind, causing her to stop from saying anything. Blinking a bit, she cleared her throat.
"Yeah, well, I can't exactly do that." She said quietly.
Red Hood raised a brow, but stayed quiet. He wasn't about to be someone's therapist.
Someone was able to break the slightly now solemn atmosphere.
"You know, I had a bit of a bad night, but I think this definitely made it one hundred times better."
Red Hood cursed under his breath as the two looked over, seeing Red Robin and Spoiler walking towards him.
"No- Don't-"
"Too late!" Spoiler snickered, phone already out as she snaps a photo.
"I'm going to kill you two." Red Hood seethes.
The two vigilantes looked at each other before shrugging.
"Worth it."
Red Robin took out a birdarang and threw it at the single string that held them up. Both Spider-Woman and Red Hood grunted as they fell to the ground. Walking towards them, Red Robin took out another birdarang and sliced the webs, letting the other two vigilantes to stand up and brush away any remaining strands of the webs stuck to them.
"So, Black Mask and Penguin got away?" Red Robin hummed, a smirk on his lips.
"Shut it." Red Hood looked to him, and even though he was wearing a helmet, they all knew he was glaring at him. With a huff, he crosses his arms, looking at the two. "What you are two even doing here?"
"Oracle realized you were too quiet on your comms. Should've finished a few minutes ago, so she had me and Red Robin come check on you." Spoiler placed her hands on her hips, looking between Red Hood and the Spider. "You're welcome by the way. If we didn't, you two would've probably been hanging from the ceiling for the whole night until we were done with patrol."
While the two continued to talk, Spider-Woman was off in her own world. Looking at her wrist, she lets out a sad sigh at the sight of her broken web shooter.
Great. This was going to take her forever to remake. She might need to have Aunt May send her a package of her old web shooters.
"Are you hurt?"
Her head shot up, now face to face with Red Robin.
"Oh! Uh, no. Just checking the damage of my web shooter. Looks like it'll be out of commission for a while." She holds out her wrist with a small chuckle.
With a hum, Red Robin walks to her, taking her wrist and looking at the small invention.
Spider-Woman stood there awkwardly as he looked at it before looking back up at her.
"These are pretty well made, considering these are made of scraps. Are you an engineer?" He looks up at her.
Scraps!?
She doesn't know whether to take his comment as a compliment or an insult. She spent her blood, sweat, and tears to make these web slingers!
She bit her tongue though, giving a slight shrug. "Something like that." She pulls her hand back. Red Robin raises a brow but doesn't question.
"You can probably get that patched up back at the batcave if you want!" Spoiler jumps into the conversation.
Both Red Robin and Red Hood look at her.
"Uh, no."
"I don't think that's necessary."
Both men answered.
Spoiler simply waved them off. "Ah don't listen to them, they're just paranoid like B." Her eyes crease up as she smiles behind her mask that hid the bottom half of her face.
"Oh no, I don't think-" Spider-Woman puts her hands up, but Spoiler was quick to wrap an arm around her shoulders.
"Nonsense! It's the least we can do for you for saving Bru- Er, Bruce Wayne! We couldn't have our playboy billionaire or his son dead." She lets out a slight nervous chuckle while the two men gave her knowing looks.
"Well I wouldn't want to intrude-" Was the Spider's last words as Spoiler began to gently push her out of the warehouse.
"Ah don't worry about it! Batman won't mind!"
Batman minded, a lot.
Spider-Woman's shoulders were shrugged up to her ears as she looked up at Batman who towered over her, staring her down before looking back at Spoiler.
"Spoiler, what is this?"
This was it.
This was how Spider-Woman dies.

"Miles it's me!"
Prowler!Miles x Spiderhero!Reader (gender neutral)
cw: angst,Jeff being funny, mentions of Jeff death (sorry it's earth 42 😭),tears,no comfort (maybe there will be on part two) "betrayal" and a big misunderstanding
Hii! This is my first time writing hehehe give me a chance and please be nice :D im gonna do a ending to this fic but it's gonna take a while
I'm more than happy to write requests so don't be shy!!
Tumblr media
You are Miles lover..but you are also the friendly neighborhood Spider hero! While Miles is the Prowler! And the worst..you both didn't know that
But you never thought Prowler was a bad guy,he actually helped people too but- he kinda hates you for some reason
maybe he was jealous of the amount of popularity you have and how you are incredible strong and how your suit was soooo pretty so yeah, who cares about Prowler anyways? He's a douchebag
As for Miles..He is the best!!
He looks like he is trying to poop everytime with that "scary" face of him but he is really sweet and respectful boy
he respects your space and supports your decisions,he is great with gifts (handmade or purchased) and never fails to make you feel especial regardless of anything ♡
You were great friends with his family too! They love you! But, something happened
His dad was captain Morales,he passed away doing his job..being a hero without spider powers or something like that yeah good guy
You remembered that when he was alive he didn't liked the ideia of a masked hero around (another jealous man),but after some events you kinda "worked together" to protect the peace at the city
The Spiderhero and captain Morales protecting our dear Brooklyn! couldn't get better
he enjoyed talking about his son and you can't deny it was fun to see what Miles was like from his father's point of view
"My boy has a beautiful significant other,i consider them as my own child! You know? Don't tell anybody but i kinda get jealous on how much of attention my wife put on them cause like, does she like them more then me?!! That's unacceptable hmfp"
Yeah and things like that was really fun too
But that day you couldn't saved him
You tried.. But unfortunately it didn't worked
Miles was devastated..you felt so guilty every day for not being able to save his dad but you always comforted him whenever he need it and he is very grateful for that
If you thought you were nobody under your hero mask you are sorely mistaken! You are everything to Miles, you are his hero
it's been sometime since that happened and everything seems to be okay
Until now
It was a random night you were patrolling the city when you ended up realizing that you were close to where Miles lived
It wouldn't hurt anyone to take a look would it?
But the last thing you expected to see was this
And this i mean
Prowler on the rooftop at Miles building
[•••]
What if he is planning to hurt Miles? You couldn't let that happen, could you?
You were ready to attack him sneakily but his mask came off
Curious to know who your unbearably annoying enemy is you decided to wait a while
Then..you saw him!Miles Morales was the Prowler, and he wasn't alone..Aaron was with him
You were surprised! Who wouldn't tbh
You decided to stay a little longer to see what he is going to do:
- Miles..we will finally catch that spider,i can feel it.- said Aaron
- Yeah,i can't wait for that Tio (uncle) Aaron
You noticed that Aaron seemed to be hesitant to tell Miles something, then he said:
- Look Miles,they.. could be anyone -you thought to yourself "does he know I'm the spider hero!?-
- What are you trying to say?
- I'm trying to say that - he hesitates one more time - don't forget why we are doing all this ok? Mi hermano (my brother) ..Your dad, está muerto (is dead) because that "hero" couldn't save him, they saved everyone but couldn't bother to save him and - Before Aaron could say more Miles interrupt him
- I know tio, don't worry - his mask returns to his face - esta noche(tonight)..I'm gonna kill that spider
You know what he said
You know what he is planning to do
Miles..the boy you love
Is going to kill you
[•••]
You are on the edge of the building
The only thing keeping you from falling is Prowler
He got his claws ready to kill you
Your heart is beating fast
"I don't want to die! I can't die yet! I don't want to get killed by him! Miles please!"you thought:
- Who are you?
- I... - he moves his claws closer to your face
With his claws he slowly takes off your mask
When he took the mask off you ,tears rolled down from your eyes
That look of fear and your watery eyes
Made Miles heart break
"This wasn't supposed to happen"
Miles thought
"Why is this happening?":
- Miles.. - you said whispering looking at him
Miles is feeling a lot of emotions
He is scared
He is angry
He is confused
And he is sad
Miles face is revealed
You see a tear fall down from his eye:
- Amor.. - you can hear by his voice that he is hurt
He don't want to do this,he can't do this!
But still
Miles doesn't let go of you:
- Miles..look i know why you are doing this! And i swear my love i really tried to save him!
"My love" he loves when you call him that, you always call him with so full of love on your voice that always make he feels warm
But is he feeling warm now that you are calling him? With so much despair trying to prove your point?
He close his eyes for a second and looked away as if he was trying to ignore you:
- Please! The fact that i couldn't save him still hunts me..Look at me Miles
He looked at you
More tears fall down from your eyes:
- The hardest thing about this job is that you can't save everybody..It took me a while to accept this but it's the truth
It took a while to accept this? That made Miles wonders if you even asked to be a hero at all
He loosens his grip a little
You wanted to tell him everything
How much it hurts you to be a hero
But you keep it to yourself:
- I know it hurts Miles,i know you want to kill me but please..Those people - you you looked around - they need me..let me do for them what i couldn't do for you
He moves his claws close to your face
You look deep into his eyes and said:
-Please..if you find a little sympathy in your heart.. forgive me for everything- you said honestly - I love you Miles
you shut your eyes and...

SV - Miguel O'Hara x Variant Wife Spiderwoman
A Spiderwoman Reader who was the Miguel variant's wife & mother to Gabriella. It took a long, long time & an exorbitant amount of groveling & swearing that he'll never let it happen ever again for her to forgive Miguel for the destruction of her world & the death of her daughter.
It's since been several years & they'd only just gotten back together & she'd moved in with him. Which means that their relationship is still fragile. Miguel has to live with the fact that it was his fault that her daughter, family, & entire world was gone.
S/O now despises lying when it comes to family, even in the case of surprises. Just say that you can't say or it'd ruin the surprise! She'd never really liked it before, but now she has very strict rules about it.
Believes that if Miguel hadn't lied about who he was & what happened to her husband, then maybe they could've caught onto what was happening before everything collapsed.
The stress of losing not just her daughter & real husband, but her entire family & world, plus her newfound deep dislike for lies, caused her Spider Sense to mutate to include a built-in lie detector, so now no one can lie to her. She's head of interrogation & has begun to study criminal psychology & Hellstromism. A.k.a. contact mind-reading or essentially reading a person's mind via their facial ticks & body language. Every small, unconscious movement has a reason & a meaning & Hellstromism helps her to understand what each minute twitch means. It's a bit of a magician's trick, but is extremely useful. If you've ever seen Now You See Me, its sequel, or any Ace Attorney game with Apollo Justice as a character, then you've likely got a good idea of the basic idea behind it. Though, these examples are a bit sensationalized.
Anyway, Miguel is determined to have her back. But then ATSV takes place…
When Miguel finally returned, it was to luggage. Confused dread settled like a stone into his stomach.
Y/N walked in with more suitcases.
"Corazon, what?"
Despite never even looking at him, the anger, disappointment, & sorrow was plain on her face. "Migue... Miguel... When I joined this society, I gave you a list of things I would not stand for…"
In an instant, ice filled his veins, knowing where she was going. "Mi vida, por favor. I-!"
She spun on him, angry tears in her eyes & began to yell at him. "At the top of that list was effing child endangerment! You nearly killed that boy! And it wasn't even his fault! All he did was react! All he ever did was the best he could to help people & save lives like any good Spider would & you treated him like a disease that needed to be eliminated! You blame him for what's happening, but you should be blaming his universe's Fisk & Doc Ock because the device was their creation! Their brainchild! Being in the wrong place at the wrong time was not his fault & you shouldn't take it out on him just because his universe was the one that might've been what started this mess that took my baby from me! He didn't ask for any of this Miguel!"
Miguel could only gape for a moment, greatly resembling a fish before his brain finally caught up with him.
"But the canon-"
"ENOUGH WITH THE CANON!! I think we have how the multiverse works all wrong! Think about it Miguel! When these glitches happen, they appear as literal glitches as if inside a computer. That isn't natural, it's synthetic! Shit only glitches in computers! So, either life is literally a simulation or something more is going on beyond simple canon divergence! And I've never bought into that existentialist bs! If that was all that was happening, then how is it that Peter B. & his Mary Jane are back together with a daughter when that was never supposed to happen?? Why has their universe not collapsed, but mine did?!"
Miguel's mouth opened to try & refute her words, but couldn't because she was right.
"I… I don't know…"
Y/N gives a heavy, tired, bonewary sigh. "I think that someone or something is doing this, Miguel. Like actively. I mean, the reactor in the kid's universe may have weakened the fabric of the multiverse, but I also think that something is out there taking advantage of that weakness, which results in these tears widening. Because simply diverging from "canon" shouldn't be enough to cause an entire universe to just... blip out of existence! That's how the multiverse exists to begin with! It should just create a new timeline like it always has! And if that's true, then we've been taking care of the symptoms when what we need to do is fix the source of the problems… And you can't tell me that you honestly think that you & Morales' friends are the first ones to have ever discovered multiversal travel when the entire point of the multiverse is infinite possibilities. There's also the fact that all the anomalies seem to only take place on Earths & always near a Spiderperson despite there being proof of aliens in damn near every universe! Why are there no alien Spidermen!? No universes without an Earth?! This suggests that whoever or whatever is doing this is somehow related to the Spiders or someone or something associated with them in some way. Possibly even targeting us specifically."
As the man absorbed this hypothesis, Y/N began to pick up her luggage & walk towards the door.
Miguel jerks towards her in dismay. "W-wait! Where are you going?!"
She gave him the most tired look he'd seen on her since she'd finally realized that her entire family was all gone & it hurt to realize that he'd been the direct cause of that weariness yet again…
"Listen... I understand why you did it. You just wanted to protect the multiverse. Never wanted what happened to Gabriella to happen again, but... that doesn't mean that how you went about it was right, Miguel. I'll help you to fix whatever is doing this, but I can't stay with you anymore, Miguel… I just… can't trust you…"
He already missed her calling him Migue.
One thing's for sure, he'll have to prove himself if he ever wants another chance.
---
I do eventually want things to work out between them & for them to eventually have a kid together (possibly a bunch), but I also want it to be a very, very long process.
One that doesn't just involve groveling & begging forgiveness as words are no longer enough for her. She needs actions.
In order for them to even begin to repair their relationship, Miguel would have to apologize to Miles for his actions & genuinely mean it as Spiderwife would know if he wasn't.
Which, I see Miguel having a lot of pride, so unless he was legit about it, he'd find it difficult to apologize to the kid to begin with.
---
I see Spiderwife as the sort to mom the heck outta the younger members of the Spider Society. Who, in turn, have given her the nickname Spidermom. Which she loves.
Maybe Variant Miguel's death was actually supposed to be her canon?

-Crash!- Your pleasant snooze is over. You called from your room, " Liz, are you okay?" You get out of bed to go to the living room and discover your younger sister next to a broken jar of cookies. You lift your brow. "Well?" you inquire. She glances at you, then at the cookie in her palm, and says, "I was hungry." She says this before wolfing down the cookie. You shake your head and tell her, "Tu si eres rara."<You really are weird> Kids are simply another type, grading the broom to clear the mess of glass on the floor. You went to get ready for the day after clearing up the mess. While you were in the shower, your phone rang in your room.
Liz dashed over to collect your phone. "Who is it?" You shouted. "Hello, it's Gwen!" Liz yells. " You are free to take it. I'll grab it when I'm finished." You inform Liz. You could almost hear her ecstatically hopping up and down. "Hello, Gwen." "Hello, Liz," Liz says as she answers the video call. You got out of the restroom after a time while they were having their talk. "Hi Gwen, what's up?" You inquire as you take the phone from Liz. "You want to come over to the headquarters?" She asked. Liz crisscrossed your leg as you moved across the room. "I don't know." You inform her, gently moving your leg in response to Liz's giggles.
" Please! Me portare bien,"< i'll be good>Liz questioned you with puppy eyes, and you produced a puzzled expression. "Should I ?" you said aloud, "Porfa," <plz> and Liz begged you, and you laughed quietly. "Yeah, we'll be ready in 20." Liz rose from the floor and ran to her room to get her clothing. "See you in a bit, Gwen," you said as you hung up the phone. You put on your spider suit and waited for Liz to show you the outfits she chose. She dashed into your room, her face flushed. She was holding a black and white short-sleeved shirt, dark denim overalls, and black and white Converse.
" Come on, little lady, vaya se a bañar." You told Liz as you guided her to your bathroom. After you had finished bathing, Liz, you went to get her towel. Before you could fully dry her up, Liz ran from you. You ran after her with the towel laughing, after some time you finally got her and fully dried her. You helped her put her clothes on and waited for Gwen to come pick you both up.
When Gwen arrived, Liz ran up to her and hugged her. " Hi Liz and Y/n," Gwen greated as she hugged Liz back. " Where is Jay?" Gwen asked, looking around, " His in a coma." You say rolling your eyes. " Coma?" Gwen asks, " Yeah, he ate so much he put himself in a food Induced coma." You say as you take Liz's hand. " He'll be up in a while." Liz says, holding your hand so as not to get lost. "Oh, Okey." Gwen says as she opens the portal to the spider society.
Liz glanced around for one person and one person alone as you arrived. "Calm down, you're going to break your neck." You warned Liz. You were afraid she'd genuinely Unscrew her head. "Where is Hobbie?" You inquired, knowing full well that this was the individual Liz was seeking for. "He's got a mission. He should arrive soon." Gwen began to walk as she stated, Miles and Pavitr were noticed by you. You exchanged greetings and spoke for a while. As you watched Liz drink her juice, you noticed Miguel from the corner of your eye.
Liz jumped up from her seat and raced to Miguel, hugging his leg and smiling up at him. " Gato," Liz called out, everyone stared at her confused, and you simply burst out laughing. " She-Haha- She believes Miguel is a cat. because of his claws." You grasp your stomach and wipe your tears away with your free hand. When you finally regain your breath, you tell Liz, "Miguel is not a cat." She lets go of Miguel's leg and stares at you, puzzled, saying, "Then what is he?"
"A chihuahua with anger issues, that would snap at the drop of a spoon," Jay yawned. Hobbie had returned from his mission at this time. He was going to enter a state of insanity that he had no idea was about to begin. " Hey! "You slimeball, that's rude." Liz chastised Jay while pointing at him. " She's touching to me. She's touching me!" said Jay. "am not touching you," Liz protested. "You're touching me!" " am not touching you." "Touching me!" " Not touching" Liz finally replied, "It's free air." While Liz was still pointing at him, Jay bared his teeth at her."Didn't your mother teach you not to point?" Doing a snapping motion on her finger.
As you warned them, Peter B was walking into the mess hall. "You're familia, stop fighting." You informed them, "She stared at it," Jay explained. "No, it was him," Liz grumbled. " Apologies, Los dos ya. " You said. Jay and Liz exchanged irritated glances, "Jay, you're the adult, and Liz is five. Get a hold of yourself." You reprimanded Jay while staring him down. "She stuck her tongue out at me," Jay said, crying out. Liz, who was staring up at you with puppy eyes, caught your attention. " Even if she did. You should apologize to Liz," you told him. "Same to you, Liz; don't think I didn't notice you giving him the middle finger." You also scolded her.
"makeup." Liz pouted as you exasperatedly informed them, "Fine." " Am sorry." She responded as she turned away from him. "Sorry," Jay grumbles, "good because I've grown a head full of grey hairs. Just watching you two." You groaned, worn out, and buried your face in your hands. When you looked up, everyone looked away from you, attempting to hide their laughter. Miguel's shoulders trembled, revealing his struggle to suppress his laughing. Hobbie, who you'd now realized had come, was smirking.
When everything was over and settled, you all resumed your normal conversation. Miguel had returned to his office at some point, and Patriv was lecturing Miles about saying "Chai tea" again. Miles was hiding behind Gwen as she laughed, and you thought Pavitr was prepared to jump him. Hobbie was telling you about a concert he'd be attending in an hour."I don't think I can go; who will look after Liz?" And excessively loud noises can be dangerous to Jay." As you watched Liz try to follow Mayday as she swung and crawled on the ceiling, you said.
"I can keep an eye on Liz," Peter B replied as you looked up from your drink. "Are you sure she won't be any trouble?" you murmured as you watched Liz try and fail to claim the wall. " Yeah, don't worry, I've got this," Peter remarked, firmly pointing to himself. " put some noise-canceling headphones on me." From your side, you heard Jay say. "All right, fine, you got me." Finally, you agreed with them. " Liz ven aca <come here>," you said, and she turned around and raced to you.
" Peter will keep an eye on you for a while." You told Liz, and you observed her nod. "Can you tell me where you're going?" She asked. "I'm going to a concert with Hobbie; I won't be gone long." You informed her while sticking out your pinky, and she did the same, cementing the deal. "Okay, Snacks." You laughed when she asked. "Sometimes you only think with your stomach, huh?" You stated this while poking her tummy and she laughed. "I'll bring you plenty of tasty snacks." As you stood up, you said. You hugged Liz and waved your other friends farewell.
Tumblr media
Peter had fallen asleep a few minutes after you had departed. Liz and Mayday had exhausted the poor man, and he was passed out in a chair, clutching the baby carrier. Liz and Mayday had left him to get some sleep, so Liz dashed to Miguel's office. She'd narrowed her focus to one idea and one thing only: get Miguel's phone number and set him up with her sister. Liz and Mayday arrived after running around like a chicken without a head.
She enthusiastically knocked on the door, waiting for Miguel to answer. Miguel eventually arrived at the door and unlocked it, and Liz and Mayday raced into the room, laughing and giggling. Miguel regarded the spectacle with a frown; now was not the time for him to be distracted. He was about to make a decision that would either harm or help the team. Liz noticed the several screens with various spider people in them from Miguel's chair. A Lego, a kitten, a dinosaur, and a Popsicle? She gazed at the screen, puzzled, with the popsicle; it was a Spiderman, she wondered.
Miguel cleared his throat to grab Liz's attention because she wasn't blinking while staring at the screens. " Liz, where is your sister?" Mayday was crawling over Miguel's shoulders. As he asked. Liz looked at him and said, "Y/n is with Hobbie." She said this while leaping from her chair. "Why are you here all alone?" He questioned, "Peter fell asleep, and I wanted to ask you a question." Liz remarked this while staring up at Miguel, who was holding Mayday in his hands. He arched an eyebrow at her. "I want your phone number," Liz remarked as she took a piece of paper and a pen from her pocket. He had no idea where she got them from. "Why?" he questioned.
" It's for my big sister, who thinks you're cute. So I'll give me your phone number so you can ask her out." Liz stated firmly as she handed him the paper and pen. Lyla burst up laughing and said, "Uuuu Miguel, would you look at that?" Lyla continued to chuckle. Liz spoke out again while Miguel was still holding the pen and paper, "Give me the paper back please," she asked. Miguel handed them to her and observed her while she scribbled something down. Before the door to his office opened and she saw a terrified Peter. "There you are," Peter said, a little out of breath. Liz handed Miguel the paper before she headed for Peter Mayday following shortly.
As soon as they were gone, Miguel opened his palm to see Liz had scribbled down Your phone number, and he reserved an alert from one of his screens. He noticed you in Hobbie's world, glitching and cradling your head. Hobbie was holding headphones and spoke something Miguel couldn't understand. Hobbie promptly slipped the headphones over your ears and helped you walk out to the roof when you nodded your head and removed your hands from your head. You were clearly calm and talking as soon as you arrived.
You and Hobbie both rose up from where you were sitting. You were the first to jump from the roof, followed by Hobbie, you were swinging from one structure to the next. You entered a store and exited a few minutes later with a bag. Hobbie established a gateway in an unobtrusive location; from another screen, Miguel could see that you had arrived at the headquarters.
Liz came up to you and exclaimed, "Your back," as soon as she spotted you. "I did say I wouldn't be gone for more than an hour." You giggled as you hugged her and handed her the snack bag. "Thank youuu." She was thrilled, she got her snacks.
✧˖°.。+❤️ฺ・。🖤.・。+❤️ฺ・。🖤.・。+❤️ฺ・。🖤.・。✧˖°.
Miguel sent you an email about joining the team. You questioned as to how he obtained your phone number, to which he nonchalantly said, "Liz gave it to me." He shrugged. You talked about it with Liz. "You told me to get his phone number the last time, so I did." She stated that she was still eating her Patelito. You looked at her with your mouth open, you were kidding!! She truly did it; you weren't sure whether to be impressed or terrified by her. You went on missions and attended meetings with other spider society members. Making jokes and having fun, flirting with Miguel at times. You would take Liz to headquarters during breaks or when she was out of school. But she was primarily at school now.
You laughed as you approached Miguel's office, empanada in hand. Miguel sighed and moved to his screen, where he was looking at Anomalies and other stuff. "Why are you so grumpyy, Miguel?" "Smile just a little." As you teased him, you poked him gently. " I'm not grumpy. I'm only doing my job." As he grabbed the empanada from you, he said. You chatted and talked for a long time, mostly to yourself because Miguel hardly reacted to you. You walked out of the room, smiling like the Cheshire cat, with a spring in your step.
"What making you so happy?" Peter asked. " Nothing at all. I just got a date." You said it cheerfully, and Peter stared at you as if you had taken his favorite treat. "And with whom?" Exasperated, he inquired, attempting to figure out who you had a date with. Peter began passing back and forth, stopping in his tracks and staring at you as if you had committed the most heinous act known to man. " Miguel." He stated boldly, his hands resting on your shoulders. You gave him a larger smile. "That's right, this Saturday. I'm excited," You raised your head and smiled at Peter. You were getting Ready to return home and ensure Liz did not set fire to the school. Yes, this will not be the first time. Ask not, she has done it before.
Saturday couldn't arrive Quicker, You asked Liz for fashion tips. She gladly assisted you in selecting some great outfits. Children can be brutally honest. If they don't like your clothing, they'll tell you directly. You're delighted you both loved the clothes. Miguel was going to pick you up at 1 p.m. and take you on a tour of his earth. You'd heard it was beautiful and wanted to see it, and it was 12:50 right now. You were making sure Liz was taken care of; she was going to accompany you to headquarters, and Peter and the others said they would be pleased to keep an eye on Liz for you.
Liz was wearing a bag that included everything she needed as well as some snacks. Miguel had arrived to pick you and Liz up. He opened a portal, and you graded Liz's hand. When you arrived, you went to find Peter and the others, and when you discovered them, you joyfully greeted them. " Hey! How are you, guys?" You asked, " You appear to be having a good time." Hoddie said giving Liz a high-five. "She might jump from her skin," Liz murmured, rolling her eyes and gazing at you. You chuckled and patted her on the head. "Enjoy your date," Pavitr said with a smile and a thumbs up.
"Thank you," you said with a smile. "Now, Liz remember. Behave for everyone, and I'll be back by 3." You told her giving her the emergency phone your mom had gotten for her. " Yeah, yeah I know. Am not 3." Liz said. She gave you a hug and you gave her one back, With that you went on your date. Miguel took you to a bakery where you got your favorite treat, with Miguel getting a cookie himself you also got a cookie for Liz. He took you to a movie, the technology was more advanced than yours. The movie had you fascinated, that you really had noticed Miguel looking at you.
Jay was eating the popcorn you were feeding him, and you ate some as well. He was completely engrossed in the film, particularly the action scenes. Miguel hardly glanced at the movie because he was too focused on your face, the minute details that your expression would make whenever something happened. When the movie was over, you excitedly told Miguel what your favorite part was, and Jay even said a few words here and there.
Miguel finally led you to Central Park. You passed an ice cream cart with Miguel holding a picnic basket in hand. Miguel noticed you staring at it like a child on Christmas morning and offered to purchase you some. You shyly agreed, choosing your favorite flavor while Miguel went to get some vanilla ice cream. You both strolled till you arrived at your destination. It was a wonderful picture, the sun reflected in the river. You were surrounded by flowers and basked in the shade of the tree you were seated beneath. It was pleasant and comforting as a gentle wind fanning your face and hair.
Miguel opened the basket, and you started eating right away. Talking happily and enjoying the time. You had to stop Jay from devouring half of everything in the basket and on the plates. Let's not even get started on the unfortunate squirrel that was on the verge of death. Jay was going to eat the unfortunate thing when you stopped him; you had no idea whether he had eaten any random animal while you were looking away, and you prayed he hadn't.
"I have to tell you something," Miguel murmured as you approached the spider headquarters, stroking the back of his neck. "Um, what is it?" You stated that you were staring directly at me, humming, and enthusiastic about the date. You'd seen Liz and everyone else sitting at a table, but Miguel had stopped you before you got there. He took your hand in his and guided you to his office. "What's wrong?" you said as you walked into his office.
"I accepted to go on a date with you because I wanted to know if you were a threat to the team or not," Miguel explained. Your brow furrowed. You could feel your heart fracture into a million pieces and the tears that threatened to pour. Jay was enraged as he asked you whether he can fight Miguel. "Why?…" you said, your voice trembling. "why Miguel?" You asked him again, this time more forcefully, with the assistance of Jay. Miguel could see how much this had affected you, saying, "Because Jay is a symbiote." He eventually said it, albeit grudgingly. That was your breaking point, you shoved him away from you. As you walked away from him, tears began to fall. Miguel was called a "fucking bitch" by Jay.
"Great way to ruin that," Lyla said. " I was going to inform her that my reasoning was wrong. And I should not have done that." Miguel muttered this while stroking his temple. "I messed up." Lyla only gave him a disapproving glance before disappearing. Liz noticed you and hurried up to you as you rapidly headed to the mess hall. " Sis, How did it go?" she asked as she looked up at you. "Porque lloras?" < Why are you crying?> She asked you wiping your face. "I got you some snacks, it's nothing. Let's go home, Okay?" You told her, and she nodded while she held her snacks. "What's wrong?" You couldn't look Peter or anybody else in the eyes right now. "Miguel being a bitch," Jay grumble quietly.
When you got home, you took a long, warm bath, remembering your mother's remarks. " Never cry over any man, Ese tiene que ser un degraciao. siempre ay, alguien mejor para ti. <Never cry over a man; that would be a disgrace. There is always, someone better for you.> " So you had your head held high, This didn't mean you didn't fail from time to time, but you were taking it one step at a time. You and Liz had a girl's night out + Jay, so you ordered pizza. You did buy a pizza just for Jay, so he wouldn't eat it all.
When Peter finally put all the pieces together, he went into full dad mode. But he didn't want to leap to conclusions, so he planned to observe. For the next several days, Peter saw that you avoided Miguel like the plague; whenever he went near you, you turned the other way. You don't even try to flirt or sit close to him in meetings. You're seated in a corner, far away from him, and once the meeting was done. You transformed into Houdini, seeing one second and the next gone. You didn't say much, and everyone immediately noticed. Peter had had enough and went to Miguel's office, thankful that he didn't have Mayday.
He pined Miguel against a wall, using a strength he didn't realize he possessed, and asked him what he had done. Peter was enraged after hearing him describe what he had done. "You hurt her feelings," he wanted to smack Miguel in the face. "You did something stupid." Miguel was reprimanded like a kid by Peter. Miguel bowed his head and said, "I'm sorry." Over and over again because Peter was correct. "When you see Y/n Tomorrow, apologize to her," Peter urged, letting go of Miguel. Miguel eventually looked him in the eyes and questioned, "How she won't even see me?" Peter replied, "That's something for you to do and fix your mistake."
Miguel was left to contemplate and figure out how to rectify the disaster he had made. Miguel announced a meeting just to you, so when you entered his office, you only saw him. His back was not turned, but he was staring at you. He saw your movement as you walked out the door. "I'm sorry," he replied, stretching out a hand to you. You came to a halt and glanced at him, and he repeated himself. " I'm sorry, I'm sorry for betraying your trust and hurting your feelings. It was a mistake on my part." He eventually said, Looking you in the eyes.
"That's not going to persuade me, Chihuahua, you hurt us both." Miguel was hissed at by Jay. "I'll accept that, and I hope you'll let me make it up to you both," Miguel remarked as he led you out of his office and into the mess hall. You sat at a table with Jay while Miguel moved away for a moment. Peter had come, and when you saw him, you hugged him tightly. "Thank you." You informed him. "How did you know it was me?" He asked. You laughed for the first time in a long time, a genuine laugh.
"Only you could make Miguel come to his senses," you said. Miguel returned with a Patelito and handed it to you. " Thank you; I'll forgive you. But there will be no sequel." You told Miguel while eating your Patelito. "I don't know if Jay will forgive you." You informed Miguel. "I got you a Patelito too, Jay, as an apology," Miguel replied, offering out the meal. You saw Jay devour it in one bite. "If she forgives you, I will as well; it wasn't because you gave me food. got it," Jay stated. You smiled, and when your friends showed up, not only did they see you smile again, but they Miguel smiled as well. It was good to have things back to normal. You laughed lightly. Miguel is looking at you mesmerized like you hang the moon and the stars in the night sky.

I Need You | Wanda Maximoff
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Scarlet Witch x Spiderwoman!Y/N
Summary: Spiderwoman!Y/N helps Scarlet Witch get her kids back.
Warnings: magic cock, breeding, slight dubcon
Word count: 1.3k
AN: a post by @hopelesslygaysstuff inspired this. Also, I’m just perverted so that’s what happened.
Tumblr media
“Now that you’ve found me, what do you intend on doing with me?” She asked, almost sarcastically, a playful lilt to her voice.
“I just want to help you, Wanda.” I said honestly, my heart beating out of my chest.
“If you can’t help me find my boys, you’re no use to me.”
I watched as she sauntered around the temple, a very large, very evil looking book hovered in the air in front of her, the pages flipping on their own.
“I-I don’t know how.” I responded weakly, her black tipped fingers flicking the air, red wisps forming around her.
I began to panic, not knowing what she was doing. I shot my web at the book and pulled it toward me, holding it in my hands. Her eyes began to glow red with anger, the wisps heading straight towards me now.
“Oh, oh, oh,” I mumbled to myself, not knowing what to do. “Dammit.”
I ran, avoiding her magic the best I could. It was fast, instantaneous, but I was just a bit faster. I looked down at the book in my hands, and then back at Wanda, who was very, very angry.
“Just make more children!” I called out.
With a huff, she finally caught me, the wisps wrapping around my hands and feet, causing me to drop the book and to return to her.
“Make more children?” She asked, looking me over. What was she thinking?
I felt an odd sensation between my legs, like a stretching ache, and looked down to see the outline of a cock through my suit. My eyes widened and I looked back at Wanda, who was now eyeing me with a different kind of hunger.
“Wanda …” I said softly, wriggling slightly to try and release myself from her magic. “What have you done? What are you doing?”
“I’m taking your advice. We’re making more children.”
“W-we?”
She brought me closer to her, our faces almost touching as her dark fingers ran along my stomach, making the cock between my legs twitch ever so slightly.
“I know you like me, Y/N.” She whispered. “Help me get my children back.”
I swallowed roughly, my mind flooded with images of us, feelings of immense pleasure and I tried to shake it off. I did like Wanda, but I didn’t want it to be like this.
“I made you well endowed.” Her fingers trailed down and stroked the cock through my suit and I couldn’t hold back a moan.
“H-how?” I trembled under her touch, aroused and afraid.
She smiled, the wisps tightening around me as she began to take off her clothing.
“I’m much more powerful than I used to be.”
“Wanda,” I watched as her breasts bounced free from the outfit she was wearing. “You don’t wanna do this.”
I was losing my mind. This was the woman of all of my fantasies, of all my dreams, and she was now naked in front of me. I struggled against her magic, but she was right - she was much more powerful than I remembered.
“I know you want this as much as I do, Y/N. I can hear your thoughts about me - so loud, so desperate for me.”
I did my best to clear my mind, to calm down, but she was in front of me and she was the only one I ever wanted ever, and she knew that.
She grabbed the back of my mask and slipped it off my face, my flushed cheeks and hungry eyes finally coming into her view.
“See?” She ran her hands over my breasts, down to my hips. “I can tell you’re ready for me.”
I nodded, just wanting to please her now. Whatever she wanted me to do, I’d do it. She was inside of me; my mind and my senses. She fully consumed me and I would do anything for her.
“Let’s get this off.” She said, talking about my suit, and before I could even register her words, it was gone, leaving me bare before her.
I looked down between us, the girthy red cock sprung up from between my legs and I swallowed roughly. That was part of me.
She nodded and kissed me softly. She was reading my mind. I kissed her back, no longer upset that she was taking control of me. This was what I wanted.
“Now,” she said as she released me from her magical hold. “You have to fuck me good, pup. Don’t let a drop of cum go to waste.”
I nodded, grabbing her by the hips and pulling her against me, kissing her with a feverish heat. She smiled against me and laid us down on the ground, letting me settle between her legs. She spread them and I looked down in awe at her delicious wetness. The cock between my legs was beyond ready, as if it had a mind of its own, and I didn’t waste any time in grabbing it and bringing it to her entrance. How she had managed to make it a part of me that I could feel was beyond me, but it didn’t even matter anymore. What did matter was my intense desire to be inside of her. I slid myself into her heat, moaning lowly as I bottomed out inside of her.
“Feels good, doesn’t it?” She said as she rolled her hips against my own, her breathing becoming heavy.
“Y-yes.” I practically whined as my hips rutted against her.
“Yes, what?” She taunted me and I looked into her deep, red eyes, feeling her inside of my mind.
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Such a good pup,” she panted softly as I fucked her. “So obedient.”
My hands balled up into fists on either side of her head as I pounded into her, the feel of her addicting. She wrapped her legs around me and pulled me closer, trapping me against her.
“Wanda,” I moaned softly, looking into her eyes. “I c-can’t …”
“You can’t what, pet?” She asked, her pussy clenching around me as we practically melded into each other.
“I can’t hold it.” I was going to cum already. The new sensations were just too good.
“Don’t hold back.” She grabbed me by the ass and pulled me against her, making sure I couldn’t pull out.
I let out a whine and came, my cum spurting into her and coating her walls. She fucking milked me and wouldn’t let go, making sure every drop of cum made it inside her hungry cunt.
“Keep going.” She said, her eyes glowing red.
I could feel myself getting hard inside of her again and I realized that she was doing it with her magic. I could go on forever if she kept it up like this.
Red wisps wrapped around my neck and pulled me against her, our noses touching.
“Fuck me, pup. Don’t make me do all the work.”
“Y-yes, ma’am.” I choked out, my airway slightly restricted by her magic, which only turned me on further.
I pounded into her and I could feel her squeezing me, which just heightened my pleasure. I wanted to last more than a few minutes this time, but fuck, she felt so good. She was so wet, so tight, I could lose myself in her if I let myself.
“I’m gonna cum, pup.” She moaned and I realized I hadn’t even done anything for her pleasure, she was just going to cum from me fucking her - not touching her at all.
My hips jerked and my stomach clenched as she came, her pussy squeezing and milking me again. I couldn’t hold back any longer and I came inside of her, my hips bucking weakly.
“Keep it in there.” She said as I tried pulling away from her.
“Please,” I begged her. “I can’t.”
“You can.” She slapped my ass and I cried out. “And you will.”
“Wanda,” I moaned. “I can’t cum again.”
“You need a break, that’s okay.” She said with faux sympathy. “I think I’ll keep you for a while.”
I felt her magic wrapping itself around my body, holding me in place.
“Maybe I’ll hook you up to a milking machine and use you for breeding.”
“Wanda, please.” I begged and she smiled.
“I want a very big family, Y/N. I think I’ll be needing you for a long time.”

TRUTH HURTS 2
Summary: Kingpin has escaped The Raft and it’s up to you to bring him back.
A/N: AHHH.. i don’t like this part 2. and everyone that sent requests i will be working on them today! Warnings: Idek, fighting i guess
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Oh! What a time to be alive," You sing in the middle of your kitchen, dancing around as you prepare breakfast. "Living in the future blinging on my hotline!" Dancing while food being present has become a routine. You look out the window and see your neighbor Ms. Brown, who you know is an early riser, peeking through her curtains, shaking her head in disapproval. You give her a cheeky wave and smile as you continue to dance.
Once she walks away you shoot a web at your curtain, shutting it. You turn the music down and stop dancing. You let out a laugh, "That could've went worse." You pull out your phone, dial Jenna, and FaceTime her. It rings a few times before showing unavailable on your screen.
That's weird. Jenna normally answers your calls in the morning. Since you're always busy doing Spidey patrol in the morning, it's normally her who calls and you don't answer.
You shrug and decide to call her later. You turn the music completely off, no longer in a dancing mood. You start to worry, hoping she is okay. You grab your phone and dial Jenna's number, but she still doesn't answer. You start to worry even more, imagining the worst. You decide to call her one more time, this time leaving a message.
Your anxiety eases once she replies seconds later, "Busy." You shrug it off continuing to cook your eggs and bacon, the smell filling your entire apartment. Once it's cooked you plate your food, brining it to your kitchen table. Having just picked up a piece of bacon, your phone begins ringing seconds after you start eating it.
"You've gotta be kidding me," You mutter, your mouth full of food. You reach out for your phone, still chewing, and answer the call. "Hey, kid!" You shut your eyes at the voice. The voice on the other end of the line continued, oblivious to your annoyance.
You sighed and shoved more food into your mouth. "What do you want?" you ask, but your words are muffled by the large amount of eggs in your mouth.
"What? Speak up!" the voice demanded. You took a deep breath, swallowing the food, and replying in a clearer voice. "What do you want?!" Tony chuckles, finding the situation hilarious. "I need your help." He says, still laughing and out of breath? You grumble in response, but you know you can't deny him. "With what--" You cut yourself off, "Why do you keep grunting in my ear!" "Sorry, sorry," Tony replied. "I'm kind of grunt in the middle of something."
"What the fuck are you doing?!" Immediately your mind thinks the worse, Tony grunts again. "Ew, kid. Don't think like that." He laughs again, and you can't help but smile. Before he could speak again you ask him, "Are you in the middle of a battle?"
Tony chuckles. "No, well-- Yes? Kind of, me and the team are in Hawaii! We're playing volleyball - Cap! That's cheating!" Tony grins, and you laugh as you hear Steve say something in the background.
"Sounds like fun. Who's winning?" You ask. "Well, me of course." Tony's laughter infects you and you can't help but smile. Steve says something else in the background and you can't help, but ask "What did he say?" Tony laughs and replies "Oh, nothing. He's just trying to one up me."
"Anyways! I was calling because since we're kind of busy, I need you to do something very important for me." His laughter is gone, he's serious now and his voice is stern. "Kingpin escaped The Raft."
Your heart sinks at his words, you take a deep breath. You know what this means. You have to take him down. Kingpin was dangerous and unpredictable. And he also wasn't your biggest fan due to the fact you were the one who got him sent to The Raft in the first place.
Now that he's out you know he'll do whatever it takes to get his revenge. You don't know what it will take, but you know you will do whatever it takes. You'll find Kingpin and bring him to justice.
"I need you to find him and bring him back. It's a matter of urgency. I won't be able to do it myself, so I'm counting on you." As you grip your phone harder, you feel a sense of dread rise within you.
You know this is a crucial task, and you don't want to let him or your city down. Calming your nerves, you reply with a determined confidence, "You can count on me. I won't let you down." Tony says his goodbyes, wishing you luck. Your breakfast is soon forgotten as you rush to your bedroom, putting on your Spidey-Suit.
You take off, swinging through the city, eager to put an end to Kingpin once and for all. You know it won't be easy, but you are confident in your abilities, ready to take on any challenge that comes your way.
"Karen call Yuri." Yuri answered, speaking in her usual professional tone. "You're late." Rolling your eyes, you sigh. "I know. I've just been told. You could've at least called me." Yuri didn't reply, but her silence spoke volumes. You knew she was disappointed in you, but you also knew she understood.
"Do you know where he's at?" You ask, hopeful. Yuri sighed. "Unfortunately, no. But, I have some addresses to his hideouts." You're taken aback. "Multiple? As in more than one?!" Yuri confirms. "It's been a week, he's been quite the busy guy. I'll text you the locations." With that, the call ended.
You hang up with a heavy heart. You know you should be grateful for Yuri's help, but you can't help but feel guilty that you hadn't been able any information yourself. After you told Jenna that you were Spider-Man/Woman, she's been worried sick. She'd been demanding you to rest, but now you knew that you wouldn't be able to until you'd defeated Kingpin.
You mentally prepare yourself for the fight ahead. It was going to be a difficult one, especially with no leads. It was like going into a dark room with no source of light. You had no idea what could be lurking around each corner, so you had to be careful. You had to take things one step at a time and hope for the best.
You continue swinging through the large city of New York, almost arriving at one of Yuri's locations. Right before you shoot out another web you feel volts of electricity course through your body.
You realize it's an EMP and it shuts down your suit. You crash to the ground, powerless. You try to power it back on, but nothing happens. Looking around you try and find the source of the EMP.
You spot a figure on the roof of the building, a dark figure with a small device in their hands. hey jump off the building easily, heading towards you as you get back on your feet, holding up your fists.
The figure steps closer to you, and you brace yourself for a fight. Suddenly, the figure appears in sight as the sun shines behind them. You recognize her immediately, "Felicia?" She smirks, "It's been a long time, hasn't it...Spider?" She steps closer and you drop your fists.
The Black Cat was back as well. Whenever she was back, it was for trouble. You take a deep breath and try to figure out why she's here. "Who are you robbing now, Felicia?" She grinned, showing her sharp teeth.
"I'm not here to rob anyone. I'm here for you, my old friend." She stepped closer and you could feel the tension in the air. "I need your help." You hesitated, considering the risks involved with helping her. Finally, you nodded and said, "What do you need me to do?"
She steps closer, running a sharp nail down your mask. She smiles and says, "Look at you. So ready to help me." Your eyes roll under your mask. The tension between you two was palpable, like a wire stretched tight between two posts, ready to snap at any moment.
You take a deep breath and exhale slowly. You can feel her eyes on you, waiting for your response. "What do you need?" Her hand moves to your bicep, squeezing gently. Her face is close to yours as she says, "I need you to help me take down Kingpin."
You're confused. It is extremely unlikely that she would request such a thing, or even give up the opportunity of having no attention paid to her at all by you or the police. With Kingpin on loose, she could commit the biggest robbery ever and get away with it. You look into her eyes and see the determination and desperation. "Why? What's in it for you?"
She lets go of you, backing up completely. "If I don't take him down, he'll kill someone very important to me." She lifts her chin, a steely glint in her eyes. "I have to do this. I'm going to take him down - by any means necessary." She takes a deep breath and squares her shoulders. She nods at you, silently conveying her dedication. "Who?"
Her serious face is gone, and she walks back up to you, bringing a finger to your lips. "Shh," she says. "Don't worry. You don't have to get jealous. You'll always have a special place in my heart, Spider."
She winks, and gives you a gentle pat on the shoulder before turning and walking away. You stand still, watching her go, your thoughts a swirl of confusion and surprise.
But now was not the time to get distracted by her childish antics. Unless she was serious about having someone to protect from Kingpin. Who could it be? The cat didn't have any family, so who could be so important to make her come out of hiding? You shake the thoughts from your head, heading toward the nearest hideout Yuri sent you.
You had to focus on the task at hand, the rest could wait. You had to find Kingpin and take him out before he could cause any trouble. "Yuri, I'm here." You say, sitting on top of a light post near the hideout. Scanning the horizon, you look for any sign of movement. "Good, update me once you're inside." She says on the line. You nod, "Got it," hanging up the phone, and jumping down from the light post, stealthy making your way inside the hideout.
Webbing yourself to the ceiling of the building, you crawl around scoping the entire place out. There were no signs of Kingpin, only his goons. You call Yuri back informing her of the situation. Even though Kingpin wasn't here, this hideout was great evidence and a nice place to start to look for him.
Yuri thanked you for the update and told you to keep looking around for any clues that could lead to Kingpin's whereabouts. You continued to search the hideout, hoping to find something that could help the search.
At the back of the hideout you find documents and a yellow envelope. You opened the envelope and inside you found a bunch of photos... of you and Jenna. You were confused and shocked. You quickly put the photos back in the envelope and tucked it away in your pocket. You had to find out what was going on.
How did Kingpin get ahold of these photos? It looked like they were taken from blocks away, the view coming from your living room window. You left the hideout in a hurry, and a million of questions rushed throughout your head.
Did he know your identity? Was Jenna in danger? You had to find the answers. You had to find Kingpin. But first you needed to know if Jenna was safe, "Karen call Jenna!"
You held your breath as the phone rang. Finally, Jenna answered. "Jenna, it's me, are you okay?" You asked. She hesitated for a moment, then finally answered, "Yeah, I'm good. What's wrong?" You exhaled, relieved. You couldn't tell her about the photos you found. It'll worry her and make her paranoid.
You decided to keep the photos a secret for now. You told Jenna you'll come and visit her soon and hung up. You knew you had to find Kingpin ASAP, but at least Jenna was safe for now. Fuck. You need to call Felicia for this.
You dialed Felicia's number and she answered on the fourth ring. "Felicia! I need your help." Felicia paused for a moment before responding. "Now who's begging? You sound so good when you beg." She teases and you feel yourself getting more frustrated by the second. "Now is not the time for games!" Felicia's laughter filled the line. "But I love to play!"
Ignoring her you continue, "I need you to help me find Kingpin. I promise I'll make it worth your while," you added. "Okay," Felicia said. "I like the sound of that."
You heard a shift in Felicia's voice, and you knew you had her attention. "What do you need me to do?" she asked. You quickly filled her in on the details of your plan, and Felicia agreed to help.
You felt a sense of relief, knowing that with Felicia on your side, you had a better chance of finding Kingpin. You thanked her and agreed to meet soon. She hung up the phone and you took a deep breath. With Felicia's help, you were one step closer to achieving your goal. Now all you had to do was execute the plan.
You shot a web and made your way to the meeting spot, feeling determined and excited. When you arrived, Felicia was already there, ready to help. You relaxed, knowing that together you would have a fighting chance to find Kingpin and bring him to justice.
Felicia turns around as you drop onto the roof, the sky now darker than it was earlier. "What do you have on Kingpin?" You ask, not wasting anytime. Jenna's safety along with New York's was sitting on your shoulders. Felicia is silent for a moment before she replies. "I have some intel, but it's not much." She says. "We'll have to move quickly if we're going to take him down."
"He called me not too long ago, demanding that I help him take you down." You take a second to take this in before replying. "What was the plan?" you ask. "You would go search all his hideouts. It would all give you clues. Then it would finally lead you back to his old Fisk building. Once you found him, you'd have to face him in a fight."
"I don't exactly know how he's planning on defeating you, my task was just to give him a heads up." She finishes, eyeing you.
You nod, understanding the plan. You take a deep breath and steel yourself for what's to come. You know there's no other way - it's time to face him. "We have to be one step ahead of him if we're meant to take him out." You say, determined. You both move to the edge of the roof, "We're already one step ahead. He's not expecting you to know that you're expecting him."
You turn to her. Seeing her differently now, she truly changed. She's no longer the selfish person she once was. She's ready to take him down and protect those she cares about. "Whoever you're protecting has really softened you, Felicia." She replied, "You have no idea." Her eyes sparkled with determination, and her voice was strong and confident. "I'm not going to let anyone hurt what's mine."
"Wait," You said as Felicia was getting ready to depart. You press the Spider logo in the middle of your suit. It flies out hovering in front of you before landing in your palm. Clicking a button you pull out a tiny earpiece. You quickly place the earpiece in Felicia's ear. "You'll be able to hear me now, no matter how far you go," you explain. "We'll stay in touch."
"Remember... quiet as a cat - ," she smiles, "- sneaky as a spider."
Taking a deep breath, you both jump off the roof towards your destiny. Felicia was going to enter the building first, telling Fisk about how she saw Spider-Man/Woman in the last hideout. Fisk would then prepare for battle, and prepare to kill you. You watch from another building as Felicia enters the building. Felicia then disappears into the building and you wait, watching with bated breath as the fate of this mission hangs in the balance.
"How's it looking Felicia?" You ask, your voice coming through in her earpiece. She responds, "I'm in. I'll be there in a few minutes." You relax a bit, knowing you've done all you can. You wait and hope for the best.
After what seems like an eternity, Felicia finally speaks again. "Come to the back, there's a vent in a supply closet for you to enter from. Watch out for the guards." Quickly, you zip off of the building, making your way towards the back. You notice a guard near you.
Being quiet as a cat you manage to sneak behind him undetected. Playfully you tap his shoulder on the opposite side you're standing. Startled, the guard turns, but doesn't see anyone. He then turns the other way and you bring a finger to your lips. He looks around, confused, and obviously scared, but he makes the rash decision of raising his gun.
You web his mouth shut and web the gun to his body. "I said shh!" You whisper yell as you wrap a web around his body and he drops to the ground. You take the gun and start running, his screams muffled in the night air. You disappear into the shadows, leaving the guard behind. Once you locate the vent and carefully maneuver yourself inside.
You crawl through the ventilation system until you reach the supply closet. You drop down from the vent, a certain cat waiting patiently for you."Took you long enough," Felicia says, rising from the wall. "Well, I'm here now," you reply. "Where's Kingpin's office?" Felicia points to the door. You nod and take a deep breath.
You open the door and step into the hallway. The hallway is surprisingly empty, too empty. And it's too quiet. You start to feel a chill down your spine as you sense something is not right.
Turning around to face Felicia, but she's not there. Your Spidey sense goes off, but it's too late and you feel volts going through your body for a second time today. You collapse to the ground, feeling a sense of disorientation and confusion. It was another EMP.
You turn your head and see Felicia. Her face pale and a slight smirk on her lips. She had set off the EMP. She then began tying you up, making sure you couldn't move. Felicia had outsmarted you and was now in control of the situation.
"What are you doing Felicia?" You grunt out. Felicia steps closer and kneels down to meet your gaze. Her voice is calm and cold as she speaks, "I'm doing what I have to do. You don't understand, but soon you will." She stands up ripping the earpiece from her ear as she walks away, leaving you alone and confused.
You watch as she disappears into the shadows and your confusion turns to anger. You want to follow her and demand an explanation, you know that something's not right, and you can't help but feel like you're in the middle of something much bigger than yourself.
You sit there for a few moments, pondering what Felicia meant and what she's doing. After a few moments your suit is back on, and you rip yourself through the wires. With a heavy sigh, you stand up and follow Felicia's direction, determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. You know she's hiding something and you're determined to find out what it is.
You can tell that Felicia is holding something back, but she's not saying anything. You follow her through the winding hallways of the building, your heart pounding as you keep an eye out for any sign of danger. As you reach the end of the corridor, you know that the truth is just around the corner.
There he is - Wilson Fisk. The Kingpin, the man who had caused so much misery and destruction. He stood there, silent and imposing, his face a mask of indifference. Your mind raced with questions and fears, but you knew that the answers would soon be revealed.
You web yourself to the corner of the room, watching Felicia, Fisk, and a few of his guards present as they interact. "I have the Spider," Felicia says.
"Where are they?" Fisk stares at her, his eyes full of rage. He takes a step towards her as she speaks, "I just want to experiment on your little Spider, Jenna. Is that too much to ask for?" Felicia stares back, her face emotionless. Your heart drops at the mention of your girlfriend's name.
She steps back, not wanting to risk Fisk getting too close. "The deal was you get to run your tests, and right after that Y/N and I walk free." Fisk scoffs. "You think you can just walk away? I think you forgot who I am." He takes another step forward, now looming over her.
You couldn't believe it. Your girlfriend was The Black Cat. This entire time, you were in the dark. You felt betrayed and angry. It was like the rug being pulled out from underneath you. One moment, you were standing on solid ground, and the next you were left feeling blindsided and confused. You weren't sure how to process it all. You started to wonder if you really knew her at all.
She was the same person who spent countless nights robbing anyone she could get her hands out, the same person that was ready to turn you into Kingpin so he could run tests on you. She was the same person who had no remorse for her actions, the same person who thought she was above the law. She was a menace to society and had to be stopped.
"And I think you forgot who I am." She said these words with a smirk on her face. She scratches Fisk's face quickly dropping a smoke bomb, Fisk's men are too late raising their weapons. She had already disappeared. Fisk's face was red with anger, his men still standing in shock. He had been humiliated in front of them and he knew it.
"Go find her and that Spider! NOW!" His men scattered and he was left alone to ponder his next move. He was determined to find her and make her pay for what she had done. He vowed to get his revenge no matter the cost.
"I seen you watching me." You recognize the voice on your left, Jenna— Felicia. You didn't know what to call her anymore, was now in the same corner as you, standing on a beam. She had an expression of amusement and a glint in her eye. Everything was different now. You had been lying to each other for months. "You lied to me."
Her smirk disappeared. "You lied to me too," she said. "For a good reason!" You defend yourself, trying your best to stay quiet and not alert Fisk or his men as they search for the two of you. She shook her head. "I've changed, Y/N. Why do you think you haven't seen The Black Cat in a while? I went clean for you!" You were speechless, but you knew she was telling the truth. You looked into her eyes and saw that she had made a real change.
She glanced around. "We need to take him down," she said, her voice low. "Lead the way," You nodded and walked ahead of her. You could feel her following close behind, a strong presence of commitment. You knew that together, you could take down Fisk.
"You deal with his goons, I got Fisk." You instruct. She nods in agreement, before you two slit in different directions she jumps on your back. "You know I love it when you're in charge," She smiles as she wraps her arms around your neck, a hand dragging her way down your suit. "Focus, Jenna." She laughs and hops off your back, and the two of you set off in different directions.
You make your way to Fisk's office, while Jenna takes care of Fisk's henchmen. She manages to overpower them with her lightning-fast combat skills. You reach the office and confront Fisk, he was typing on his computer.
"Awe! Are you writing a fanfiction about us?" Fisk stopped typing and looked at you with an emotionless expression. He presses a singular key on his keyboard, "Get the chopper ready. I won't be long."
"I waited years to fight you, Y/N." You stand up and prepare to fight. Fisk smirks as he slowly rises from his seat. You can feel the tension in the air as you both prepare for battle. "You're making it sound like I'm about to pop your fight cherry or something."
The man grunts in response, "I'm not here to play games." He takes a step forward and cracks his knuckles. "You ignorant fool." He picks up his desk, throwing it at you. You jump out of the way and the desk slams against the wall. The man looks at you with contempt and snarls, "Get out of my sight!" He lunges towards you, fists clenched.
You manage to dodge his attack and shoot mulitple webs around him, trapping him in a cocoon. You then leap foward, punching him in the face and anywhere else you can land before he rips out of your web.
The man throws an arm your way, knocking you onto your back. You quickly jump back up and launch yourself at him and spin around, kicking him in the chest and then aiming a web at his face. The web sticks to his face before he roughly rips it off, angrier than before.
"I WILL DESTORY YOU!" He charges at you, but you dodge him and spin around and launch another web at him, this time wrapping him up in the web completely. You walk closer to him, a smile under your mask. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
He glares at you, his eyes filled with hatred. You turn around and begin dancing, "Uh huh! Uh huh! UH-"Suddenly you're being tackled, you fall to the ground. You look up to see him, eyes still full of rage, but he's free from the web. He grins, "I said I'll destroy you!" He wraps his hands around your neck, picking you up with ease.
"Maybe I got a little cocky," You rasp out. He throws you into a wall and you break throw it completely.
Tumbling onto the ground, you scramble to your feet and ready yourself for a fight. He charges at you and you dodge, kicking his back. He stumbles and turns around, ready to retaliate. But he doesn't get the chance – an series of volts shoot through his body.
He collapses to the ground, twitching and convulsing. You turn around seeing Jenna make her way towards you, the same device from earlier lying in her hand. She looks you in the eyes and speaks, "Web him up, Spider." She turns and walks away, leaving you alone with the incapacitated man.
You take out a roll of webbing from your pocket and begin to wrap him up, tightly binding his body. You pick him up and walk away, the man still unconscious in your arms. You dangle the man at the entrance of the building, fleeing before the cops notice you. The cops arrive and take the man away.
You disappear into the night, feeling a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. You had done the right thing.
You web yourself to a building nearby, watching Kingpin get locked up for a second time. You had done your part to keep the city safe. You were sure Kingpin wouldn't be a menace to the city for a while. You smiled to yourself and felt relieved. "Y/N," Jenna says, you turn around.
"Are we okay?" She repeats those same words you said to her the night you revealed your identity. You take a deep breath and smile at Jenna, "We're okay." You wrap your arms around her and pull her in close. You feel something shift in your arms, pulling away it was just Jenna. No longer in her uniform, "YOU CAN MORPH?!"
Jenna smiles back, her eyes twinkling with a newfound joy and freedom. She nods her head and looks up at you, "Yes, I can morph." You take off your mask and give her a gentle kiss on the forehead, "I'm sorry." She apologizes as she starts to cry. You hug her tightly, reassuring her that it's all going to be okay. You give her a warm smile and tell her that you will always be there for her.
"Jenna, it's okay. I believe that you've changed." Jenna looks up at you with a grateful expression. She smiles and leans into your embrace, taking a deep breath. You both stay there for a moment, and then Jenna pulls away, her eyes shining with hope. "I love you."
You smile and nod. "I love you too," you reply. You hold her hands in yours, and you both stand there, savoring the moment. You stare into each other's eyes, and in that moment, you both know that things will be okay. Jenna squeezes your hands, and you both turn to face the future, with hope and love in your hearts.
You put your mask back on. "So, is this going to become a regular thing? The Spider and The Cat?"
She playfully rolls her eyes, laughing. "Of course not. Kingpin just needed to understand. You mess with the cat, you get the claws." She smirks, her eyes glowing in the night. "But don't worry, I'll always have your back." She turns and starts walking away. You follow her and she morphs back into The Black Cat.
"Let's go home." Just as she's about to make the jump, you stop her. "Wait! I'm gonna send you my swinging playlist," She scoffs, laughing. "No thanks babe, I'll see you when you get home." As she leaps across the building, she lands safely on the other side. You watch her leave, shaking your head in disbelief. She turns to wave one last time before disappearing into the night.

Atsv characters realizing they’re in love with you
Tumblr media
Gwens on the verge of tears, it’s the first time you’ve ever seen her like this in all the time you’ve known her. You’ve known gwen for almost your entire life, and never once have you ever seen her in such a state of affairs.
You suppose it’s reasonable, she lost Peter and she thinks she lost her father forever, the only other people she ever had. And then there’s you. Somebody she felt such deep emotions for even if she was unaware how deep they ran.
There’s so many emotions and so many thoughts running through her head, when she sees you for the first time in what feels like years.
You don’t say anything.
You stare at her, the state she’s in.
Your movements are slow and meticulous, calculated. And she wonders if you’re doing that because you’re cautious, because you’re scared of her.
“I don’t know what dad told you.” fear drips from her vocal cords, “but I promise you,” she’s desperate, wanting your touch so badly but fearing you truly saw her as a monster too, “I would never, ever, kill Peter.”
the building you’re both on, feels so much darker than it really is. It feels like she’s revealing herself to her dad for the first time all over again. She wants to cave in on herself but she fights every need to push you away because she needs you in her life.
“And believe me, I wanted to tell you! I did! I really did!” she tries desperately to explain, finally letting a tear slip out.
As soon as she let one go, it became a waterfall of tears.
“I love you.” she says, voice barely above a whisper, taking you both by surprise.
She realizes what she said, but she doesn’t dwell on it for much longer. Because she realizes, finally, what she said was true.
And now that she finally knows what it is she’s truly been feeling for you all these years, it hurts even more to look at you and not know what you could possibly think about her. She wishes she knew what was going through your head, she wishes she could just tell what you were feeling by searching your face but she just can’t find anything. She doesn’t know what you make of this. She doesn’t know if she’s going to lose you today.
“Please.” she feels her lips wobble, she knows she’s going to completely break down if you don’t say something, anything, in the next minute.
All she’s met with is more silence.
Tumblr media
Miles knew he had a crush on you, sure. That simply made sense, it was common knowledge to anyone that wasn’t an idiot. Well, except you. But miles didn’t think you were an idiot, just maybe oblivious. It’s not like he minded, he was grateful that he liked the one, singular person in this very world that was oblivious enough to not catch onto Miles’s adoration for you.
Miles talked about you a lot, admittedly. His parents were naturally happy he had found an actual friend that wasn’t away, that wasn’t ganke, and that clearly made him so happy. In fact, Rio mentions how she’s never seen her son so happy to talk about somebody. She had teased him a few times, and although miles tried to deny it, both her and Jeff knew he liked you a little bit more than a friend should. Though, a little bit is a stretch. He liked you a LOT more than a friend should.
And man, when you finally met them. Ohhh boy.
Miles had tried to prevent it for so long, in fear his parents would embarrass him, even worse if they didn’t like you. But he had been delaying the inevitable long enough, and the time had finally came.
In the past, Rio had teased him about being in love. Of course, miles denied the fact. He had a crush sure, but love? That’s a lot, isn’t it?
But seeing you interact with his parents, getting along with them so well. Even with his dad?
He just can’t stop staring, and while normally Rio would be concerned, she simply walks over to her son with a knowing smile.
“I think Im in love.”
“I know, mijo”

Hobie had a rough day, to say the least. Being spiderpunk, spiderman, was tough. And as much as he complained about it, he was perfectly content with the way he went on living. Especially since it had given him the power to protect you, and fight for his beliefs.
But regardless it was sometimes a painful experience, being spiderman. The gash on his side wasn’t too huge, but was deep enough to cause him pain anytime he walked. Swinging around wasn’t much better.
He decided to swing by your place, since it was closer to him and while he hated the idea of bothering you while he was in this state, hated the idea of worrying you, he knew it was the best option if he wanted to get back to fighting as quick and as painless as possible.
He lets himself in through the window, as always. He walks over to your hunched over form at your desk, peeking over. “Biochem?” he asked aloud, and you, unbothered, simply nod. “Yknow you should really start locking the window sweets.” he says with a grin, and while you’d normally be annoyed by his remarks, you notice a strain in his voice that makes you look up at him.
You’re quick to stand up, “hobie! Jesus what happened to you!?” you said, ushering him into your bathroom so that you can get your first aid kit.
He sits down on the toilet, before shrugging. “Stuff..”
you’ve fixed him up before, but this was a little different. There was a change in your demeanor. It wasn’t out of this world for you to worry for him, but this felt vastly different this time around.
You were so kind, so gentle with him.
In his mind, he’s undeserving.
The warmth of your hands on him, was the only thing he could think about. Not even the pain of literally being stabbed could compare to how electrifying your touch felt.
Perhaps it was the blue led lighting in your bathroom or the loss of blood but, you looked so beautiful right now.
“I think I love you.” he whispers quietly, staring into your eyes.
Staring back, you can’t help but think you love this idiot too.
Tumblr media
Pavitr is an idiot when it comes to romance, whether he likes to act like he’s good at it or not. He is not as smooth as he pretends to be. He realizes this anytime he tries to shoot his shot at you. He fumbles with his words and has to come up with some excuse as to why he needs to leave in that exact moment, immediately. Even pretending to flirt with his best friend, gayatri, doesn’t work. He does it so well with her, but when it comes to you he just cannot articulate his words. He finds himself totally lost.
It doesn’t take an idiot to figure out his feelings for you are strong, and that his feelings go deeper beyond friendship. You seem to be the only moron in all of mumbattan that hasn’t noticed, and he’s not sure if he’s grateful or in great agony.
One of the biggest reasons he was so obvious about how he liked you, was shown through how clingy he was. Physical affection is his love language, after all. But it goes beyond that, he always finds himself wanting to spend time with you. He even insists on walking you home even when his house is in the opposite direction, his excuse being that he wants you to get home safely despite being in broad daylight. It’s still a dangerous world out there, is his reasoning.
But it’s been so long since he last walked you home. When you were kids, he did it all the time. As you grew older, the tradition seemed to stick but as he became spiderman this occurrence became less frequent. It’s been months since he’s been able to do this.
The sun is bright, but it hits your face perfectly. And he can’t help but think you look like some ethereal god. Given his line of work, he doesn’t think it would be that weird if you were one.
He feels like he can’t breathe, and he doesn’t even realize its cause he’s way too focused on you, every little feature. Your hair, eyes, your nose, cheeks, mouth. Anything he could possibly look at on your face, he’s looking. He’s not listening to a word you’re saying, he watches your lips move but he cannot catch a damn thing. The grip he has on his bookbag becomes tighter, his face feels hot and he wants to say it’s because of the sun but he knows that’s not true. God, has your laugh always been so pleasant to the human ears? Or was that just him?
His lips move, before he even has a chance to stop the words from coming out, like word vomit.

to love and self loathe
part 1 part 2 part 3
I'm Just A Guy, With A Boomerang!
Okay, so maybe she was a tiny bit rusty as being Spider-Woman. No big deal, just a few more days or nights being in the suit and she can-
Wait- No, this was supposed to be the only and last time she was even putting on the suit. It was just a precaution! You know, if the other vigilantes weren't able to make it because of the decoy or whatever Black Mask was planning.
. . .
God what was she doing...?
Swinging from building to building, she headed into the direction of Wayne Manor. Except, she soon found out just how far the manor was from the city. By the time she made it to the manor, just on the edge of the forest where she saw the clearing of the rather large and gothic mansion, she was quite literally out of breath.
"Damn rich people..." She wheezed, slightly panting as she tried to catch her breath. Once her breathing went back to normal, she climbed over the aging stone wall and jogged over to the massive building.
Scaling up the wall, she peeked through the multiple windows, making mental notes to herself as she continued to go through each window.
"Now if I were a bunch of thugs, where would I-"
And as if on cue, a large explosion shook the mansion, smoke coming out from one of the sides of the mansion.
"There, I would be over there." She sighed out.
Quickly crawling her way over, she let herself inside the very large ballroom, trying her best to not gawk at how fancy it looked whilst crawling on the ceiling.
"Nobody move! Or the brat gets it!"
Looking down, everyone was in a state of panic while a thug with a black mask held a young boy hostage, a gun to his head.
With the smoke slightly clearing up, she had taken note that there were about 8 men, and they were all armed, wonderful.
All of them were shoving through the crowd of rich folks, seeming to look for someone in particular. While they were busy doing that, she quietly dropped down, trying to use the smoke and people, hopefully they didn't scream out when they saw her.
"Sorry, pardon me." She quietly whispered, squeezing past the many expensive suits and dresses. "I like the tie." She complimented, though everyone just gawked at her as she put a finger up to where her lips were supposed to be as she made her way over to one of the thugs.
"Hey." She called out, poking the thug's shoulder.
"Wha-" Turning around, about to aim his gun at her, she quickly webbed his mouth shut with one hand while the other had shot out a web to take hold of his gun to take it out from his hand. Shooting out another web to wrap his upper body, she jabbed the butt of the assault rifle into his stomach, causing him to let out a muffle 'oomph!'.
Stumbling back from the impact, she gave him a simple push into the wall before using her webs to keep the man stuck to the wall.
Dusting off her hands, she soon took notice of the many rich folks who only looked at her in bafflement. A bit embarrassed at the attention, the Spider cleared her throat, pointing behind her shoulder.
"I should.. I should probably go." Raising her hand up, she had her web shooter pull herself back up onto the ceiling, crawling on her hands and feet to get to whichever criminal she saw next.
For the next 20 minutes, she was able to take down two more guys before the hostage situation had gotten worse.
Finishing up with keeping one of Black Mask's stuck to the ceiling, the sound of laughter from Mask's men had garnered her attention.
"Now we're getting somewhere." The man holding Damian grinned cynically. Just opposite of him was another one of the criminals, now having Bruce Wayne as a hostage, another gun pressed to his head.
"Alright Mr. Philanthropist, you're gonna listen closely and do as we say: Within 24 hours you're gonna give us 20 billion in exchange for the brat." Damian's hostage tightened his grip around his neck, pressing the gun even closer to the pre-teen's skull.
"I will kill you all." Damian hissed out, but he was only met with getting hit with the gun, making him grunt in pain.
"Shut the hell up." His captor growled out.
"You can have the 20 billion, just leave my son out of this." Bruce said, doing his best in trying to stay calm.
The man only cackled, the sound of his gun cocking, his finger now hovering over the trigger. "We're gonna need the 20 billion first Mr. Wayne."
"Ahem."
All heads quickly swiveled to the sound, only to see Spider-Woman standing there, almost a bit awkwardly.
"Didn't know we were supposed to bring guns to a party as fancy as this." She commented.
It went silent for a moment.
Okay.. Great start.
"Who the fuck are you?" The young Wayne's captor hissed out.
"Oh you know," She let out a small nervous huff. "Just a passerby, thought I would take a look around Gotham and all." She waved a hand nonchalantly. "And you know, it's really nice in Gotham, well, of course, minus all the crime and guys trying to mug an innocent bystander every ten minutes."
She continued to ramble, her arms moving about.
People only looked at her like she was crazy, and honestly? She couldn't blame them.
She herself had no idea what in the hell she was doing, she just hoped she could find herself an opening before the situation escalated any more than it already has.
At some point, the captors were getting irritated, now finding her ramblings tiring.
"Would someone get rid of this bitch already!?" One of them yelled out.
In that moment, her senses tingled, but everything had almost gone in slow motion as the sound of a gunshot rang out, making people scream while some sort of black baton was simultaneously thrown at one of the captors.
Bruce Wayne's captor let out a pained yell as he had been hit with the baton, to the Spider's left though, another yell of pain was heard, as it was one of thugs who was about to shoot the woman.
"What the-!?" Damian Wayne's captor's attention quickly turned to where the baton and gunshot had came from.
Taking this moment of distraction, the female vigilante quickly shot out a web and yanked the gun out from the captor's hand.
"Hey!" Turning his head to look at her, she shot another web, making it cover his entire face. Alarmed, his hands quickly let go of the boy and tried to pull the webbing off. Damian, in response, turned to his captor and gave him a swift kick, knocking him back onto his butt.
There was no time to relax though, for from the corner of the Spider's eye, she saw another one of Black Mask's minions point their gun straight at Damian.
"Hey kid watch out!" She yelled. Quickly running towards him, she closed the distance by grabbing him with her web before shooting another web and pulling themselves up to the ceiling.
An echo of screams rang in the ballroom, everyone now running and panicking, all of the rich folk quickly trying to leave the now dangerous room.
"You alright?" She looked at the boy who had a scowl, arms crossed.
"I'm fine." He retorted.
Rude.
"Okay Mr. Grumpy-Pants." She muttered.
Hearing more gunshots, she looked over and saw two of Gotham's vigilantes fighting off the rest of Mask's men.
"Hey so, I'm gonna leave you up here real quick-"
"You will not-"
It was too late though, the young Wayne found himself webbed into a cocoon, now stuck to the ceiling of his home while the Spider made her way down to help the two men.
"Release me at once!" He yelled at her, fuming.
Both Red Hood and Nightwing were preoccupied and cornered by Black Mask's minions. Both fighting the men and dodging the bullets they shot at the vigilantes.
Too preoccupied, Nightwing had realized too late as one of the men were about a second away from getting shot. But an all too familiar sticky string had pulled the gun out from the minion's hands only to be promptly knocked out with a harsh kick from behind.
"You boys need help?" She questioned, tossing the gun to the side.
"We have it just fine."
"That'd be appreciated."
Red Hood and Nightwing glanced at each other, but Red Hood seemed to be the one to look away first. With a smile, Nightwing threw his escrima stick, shocking a criminal as they went down while he looked back at the Spider.
The two nodded nodded at each other at the result of Red Hood's lack of resistance and made quick work of joining the two men.
"I don't think I've ever seen you around in Gotham before." Nightwing turned a bit, dodging a fist that flew his way.
"Ah well, I just thought I'd do a bit of sightseeing." Spider-Woman replied, webbing one of the men's foot to the ground, causing him to fall face first onto the ground.
"And Gotham was your first choice?" The first Robin looked over at her, both brows raised, while simultaneously kneeing a man in his face.
She let out a small laugh, weaving her way behind a guy before shoving him to fall to his knees.
"I let the wheel of fate choose for me." She shrugged.
Nightwing quickly picked up his escrima and tossed it to her, her web shooting out to have it come to her faster.
Once in hand, she tossed the escrima in the air a bit before catching it once more and hitting the man, who was trying to get up, in the back of the head, causing him to fall once more, though this time staying down for good.
"You two, less talking and more beating Sionis' men up." Red Hood grunted in irritation, taking hold of the man throwing a punch at him and bent it the other way, causing the man to let out a blood curdling scream.
Both Spider-Woman and Nightwing backed up into each other, their backs pressed to each other.
"Is he always that snappy?" She questioned, causing him to laugh.
"He's nice, I promise."
She only let out an unconvinced hum in response.
Clasping his fingers together, Spider-Woman stepped into his hands as he threw her into the air. Finding her target, she shot two strings of webs to the ground before pulling herself feet first, giving the last guy a good kick, and a long-term concussion, to the head.
A satisfied hum left her lips, hands on her hips.
Nightwing whistled a bit, walking over to her. "You're pretty good." He mused.
She couldn't help but feel giddy at the compliment, remembering the adrenaline rush that comes with being a vigilante.
"Why thank you." She said in a bit of a posh accent, one arm slinging behind her back while the other wrapped around her stomach, and bowed.
Nightwing chuckled at her antics as she straightened herself up.
"I thought I'd be a bit rusty, but it seems I still got it." She hummed brushing her shoulder. Soon, she felt something sturdy and warm brush against the back of her head, slowly tilting her head backwards, the looked as Red Hood was tilting his head down to look at her.
"What are you doing here in Gotham?" His robotic voice questioned. "And don't give me that 'sightseeing' bullshit."
Turning herself around to face the slightly scary man, she looked up at him clearing her throat and held a finger up.
"Uh well, for starters," She started. She only looked as he continued to stare at her, waiting for a response.
God was he scary when you weren't a citizen.
She seemed to be having a hard time trying to come up with something, a sense of deja vu coming upon her.
"I have.. Family..?" Her response was more of a question than an answer, and that only made Red Hood even more unconvinced.
"Really." He crossed his arms.
"Ye.. s...?" She slowly drew out the word a bit more, slightly cringing at how unsure she sounded herself.
"If you are done chatting then it would be smart of you to let me down before I come down myself!" A voice, slightly far away, yelled out.
All three vigilantes looked up towards the voice and saw Damian still stuck to the ceiling.
Nightwing snorted a bit at this, the Spider quickly clearing her throat.
"I uh, better go get him." Letting out a nervous chuckle, she glanced at the two vigilantes before webbing her way up to the ceiling, ripping away at the webs to get the boy out from his cocooned confines.
"I don't trust her." Jason squinted his eyes at her, watching her every move.
Dick rolled his eyes at this. "You don't trust anyone Jay- Ow!"
His head went forwards, a light slapping noise echoing in the walls.
"Vigilante names, we don't know if she can hear us or not." Jason stated.
Dick only let out an annoyed huff, rubbing the back of his head, there was a bit of a smile on Jason's lips, his mood slightly lifting after giving his older brother a good smack.
The Spider soon let their youngest brother down back to the ground. They only watched in amusement as the two seemed to have an exchange of words before Bruce made his way over.
"You're alright?" He questioned his son, crouching down a bit to take a look at him.
"Fine." Damian huffed, looking away, arms crossed. "I told you this party was useless." He slightly glared at his father who only chuckled, giving a small ruffle to his hair.
"I'll make it up to you, promise." He smiled. Standing up, the billionaire looked at the female vigilante. "Thank you, for saving my son."
"Oh, I mean.." The Spider became a bit bashful, a sheepish laugh leaving her mouth. Rubbing the back of her head, she slightly looked away, waving her hand a bit. "It wasn't just me who helped too."
She looked over at the other two vigilantes, the two seeming to be talking—more like bickering, no one needs to know that but them though—until Nightwing lightly elbowed Red Hood who begrudgingly followed behind the masked vigilante who made his way to them.
"Mr. Wayne." Nightwing said with a smile.
"Ah, Nightwing." The billionaire smiled, looking over at the man that stood behind the more chipper vigilante. "Red Hood."
Red Hood only gave the man a curt nod, muttering the billionaire's name as a greeting. He shifted his weight, having crossed his arms before promptly looking away afterwards.
It became a bit awkward after that, Spider-Woman only watching with slight discomfort at the odd greeting she had just witnessed.
Clearing her throat, all three men looked over at her. "Well I uh, I better get going." She pointed behind her.
"To New York?" Bruce questioned, raising a brow.
"What?" She questioned back, looking at the man before blinking a bit too much. "You.." She pointed at herself. "You know of me?" She asked, dumbfounded.
He chuckled at this. "Of course, you were all over the internet with your disappearance." He mused.
"Oh.." She mumbled, remembering seeing the many articles as well. Everyone questioning as to where she had gone, and if she was coming back.
The flash of a smile and a melodic voice calling out her name came to her, making her grimace.
"Everything alright?"
She snapped her head up to look at the billionaire who had a bit of concern on his face, the two vigilantes looking at her with questioning look.
"Uh, yeah, sorry." She hummed nervously. "All that fighting really tired me out." She winded up her arm, rocking back and forth on her feet a bit. "Anyways uh, thank you, for having me. Sorry about the mess."
Her hands moved around all over the place, taking small steps back towards the large hole in the wall. "I'll be, I'll be going now, haha.."
Turning around, a web shot out from her wrist and she had left with the wind.
"Some party that was." Dick mused.
"Father did you see how she stuck me to the ceiling like some insect?" Damian quipped.
"Maybe because you are one." Jason mused.
Immediately, Damian's head turned to look at his brother to give him a glare. Bruce only sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Enough." Looking over at his two oldest, he gave them a questionable look. "Does anyone want to tell me what Spider-Woman is doing in Gotham?" He questions.
Dick shrugged at this. "Beats me."
Jason stayed quiet, a bit of a grimace falling on his face.
"Jason."
The second Robin only rolled his eyes, looking at his adoptive father.
"She seemed to have come to Gotham a week ago. Only trail she left was her webs." He informed, arms still crossed.
"And I wasn't informed about this because..?"
Jason shrugged. "Didn't seem important."
The father and son duo stared at each other for a good while, tension slightly building up.
Fuck, this wasn't how Jason wanted this to go.
He opened his mouth to speak, but Bruce beat him to it.
"Well as long as she doesn't pose a threat." He sighed out. "You two should probably get changed, I'm sure Gordan and the others will be here soon."
And right as Bruce said that, the distant sound of sirens could be heard, the colors red and blue flashing in a distance through the darkness and trees.
With a nod, both Jason and Dick went to leave—Damian following along to head to his room—Dick going on ahead, all the while Jason having stopped in his tracks after hearing his name be called out.
Turning his head, he looked over his shoulder, seeing Bruce stare at him for a moment, his lips pressed into a line.
"Will you..." He hesitated for a moment. "Will you be staying for the night?"
Jason stopped breathing for a moment.
Did he want him to stay? Or was he just asking out of formalities? Of course Bruce wanted him to stay, he was his son for crying out loud.
Jason's mouth suddenly felt dry, having to lick his slightly chapped lips. His eyes darted around the room, suddenly feeling like that walls of the ballroom were closing in on him even though there was a giant hole in one of the walls.
"No, I'll be going back to my place." He flexing his hand a bit to try and calm his nerves, feeling his clothes suddenly feeling a bit too small on him all of sudden.
"I see. Take care then. I'll see you tomorrow." Bruce said softly.
"Yeah." Was all Jason was able to muster before walking off, leaving the man by himself in the large ballroom.
His footsteps quickened once he left the room, a somewhat nauseous feeling overcoming him. Quickly moving the arms of the grandfather clock once more, he wasted no time going down the stairs.
Fast walking to his motorcycle, he kicked the stand up and stuck the key into the ignition.
"Leaving so soon?"
Jason paused, hand just barely about to turn the key to start his bike. It was quiet between him and Dick, the two not saying a word.
"Bye." Jason said, his bike roaring to life at the same time, almost drowning out his goodbye as he sped off.
Dick only sighed, watching his younger brother leave the Batcave, the smell of exhaust and gasoline filling the air.
At least he's trying.

See, my brain refuses to accept that Miguel O'Hara is a suave flirt, because this man's first girlfriend was the girl who defended him from his childhood bully, he's had at least 3 long-term relationships from what I know of comics lore and in the movie, his definition of true happiness was being a father! You cannot convince me that this man's flirting abilities extend beyond awkwardly posing, unintentionally sounding like a smug know-it-all while trying to show off his intelligence, and telling dad jokes. 🙃😍

a little miguel drabble bc im sad n horny :((
— subbot!miguel , domtop!mreader , creampie , implied size difference , breeding kink , miguel isn't spider-man in this world , spider-man!mreader, no dialogue, not beta read hmgh, listened 2 i bet on kosingndogs on reepat so ::333333
:((
Miguel feels as if he's suffocating, but in the best way possible. He's been forced onto his chest, his face pressing against the mattress as his mouth hangs open with small puffs and gasps escaping his mouth. Drool leaks from the corner of his mouth, his hair is damp and sticks to his forehead and skin, sweaty. The hair on his nape curls, and his fingers are gripping the sheets of the bed.
You're slotted between his thighs, body caging him in. You have him pinned between the bed and your chest, caging him in like some poor prey, and the thought makes him groan, makes him clench around your cock and curl his toes.
You've been fucking him for God knows how long, forced your way between his legs and ate him out until he began to squirt once, and twice, and thrice - far more than he's ever had considering squirting wasn't a thing he knew he could do up until a moment ago.
Ever since you were bitten, you've been insatiable. Miguel had been bemused when you grew, all long limbs and a fast metabolism, and he had been nothing but fond for his new beanpole of a husband. But that fondness quickly changed to something more sensual when you formed muscles and your shoulders began to grow broad, when it became easier for you to manhandle him into whatever position you both wanted, when you could eat him out for hours on end until he was forced to tap out, when you could fuck his pussy and fill it up with endless amounts of cum.
"Ah- shock!" Miguel moans out when his orgasm crashes over him, makes him bite down on his pillow and curl his toes even more, eyes glazed over. His cocklet throbs and his pussy spasms around your cock. You grunt, grip his hips, and plunge your cock into his cunt, jackrabbiting into him until you're pressing your cock as deep as it can go. Your cockhead presses a sloppy kiss to his cervix, length throbbing as you cum inside of him.
You're panting, sweaty and trembling limbs, slowly grinding into his pussy; talk about insatiable. Miguel feels like jello underneath you, fucked beyond relief, content to lay there and become your living fleshlight.
Miguel whimpers, weakly curses, when not a couple minutes later your cock is back to life and you're twitching your hips. You lean down and press a silent apology to his shoulder blade in the form of a loving kiss, and Miguel accepts your apology by weakly grinding back onto your cock, wondering if this'll be the day you knock him up.

Miguel O'Hara x Murdock Spiderwoman!OC
Her name is Mary Murdock & the thing is that this spiderwoman's canon event wasn't just that she lost someone else, it was also the fact that, in many ways, she lost herself.
She is the daughter of Matt Murdock & in her upper teen years, she was kidnapped & sold into sexual slavery. Her father, of course, eventually found her & saved her life as well as the lives of the other teens, children, & women, but by then, she'd already been… damaged…
Despite everything, Mary had intentionally drawn as much ire from their captors as she could in order to divert as much of their attentions away from the others as she could. She didn't necessarily always succeed, but she tried her hardest. She did everything she could to protect the other victims, but she could only do so much.
She saw... so many horrors there... So many horrible, twisted things that she swore that she heard God's voice comforting her as she slept at night. Keeping the nightmares away. He told her that her dad was coming & God never lies, so she believed him. And she was filled with a determination to do it all again the next day. Then the next, until finally, her dad came to save them. Not Daredevil, just Matt Murdock.
During her time there, she became as an older, very protective sister to the younger ones there. Even long after getting out & everyone was returned home, she kept in contact with them all. Except for one, he had no family to return to & at her request, Matt adopted the boy, Jude.
He has... the poor boy went through a lot. And his new family helped him to process those thoughts & memories. Though, for a good while he was attached to Mary at the hip.
Since then, Mary was filled with an unbearable rage & vowed to have every last sack of shit abuser & slaver & sexual offender that she could manage, put on death row. Especially the ones who dared to touch children! So, she studied as a prosecutor & had her father teach her self-defense before eventually being bitten by a radioactive spider.
In the face…
The spider's poison took her vision from her much like her father's had been, but gave her spider powers. Including organic spinnerets that produced webbing as strong as steel, proportional strength of a spider, the strongest spider sense out of all the Spiders, & even better senses than Miguel. The last two mixing together to almost become a sonar. She also has venom similar to Miguel, but hers has a different effect.
She's also extremely good at creating traps with her webbing. If you remember that one Spiderman movie where Peter uses his webbing to make a spiderweb & used it like a spider to capture the Lizard; Mary does that a lot too. Especially when she's planning on ambushing criminals. Basically, she senses the vibrations that run along her webs. Her heightened senses allow her to detect even the most minute of movements & judge the weight & force behind what caused the movements. She can even sense things through the webbing to a degree. In a similar way to how cats can sense things through their whiskers.
As a result of her heightened senses, she also has heightened instincts & intuition, allowing her to be able to positively identify natural phenomenon such as weather & other natural disasters, predatorial intent in a similar way to animals, & even supernatural phenomenon to a degree. She can even track using scent, however that's something she needs to practice.
Her father, Matt, had denied allowing her to be a vigilante before, but now, he literally could not stop her. So, he might as well prepare her the best he could. He hated that she'd jumped so easily into this life, having tried so hard to shield her from it, but at the same time, he understood. He trained her in the advanced way of fighting blind, having taught her the basics before, just in case.
She has never been under any delusion that there wasn't some degree of desire for revenge in her motivations. She's honest enough with herself to not allow such lies within her own mind & knows that she is no better than any human & thus she is prone to selfishness at times like anyone is. However, just because it's partially for her own sake doesn't take away from the fact that 75% of her motivation was to rescue those who weren't so lucky as to be saved & to keep as many away from that life as possible. She's also trying to get better about that through emotional growth & God's aid.
Mary became the best prosecutor in the country, not to mention having studied in criminology, criminal psychology, audio Hellstromism, investigative science, & forensics science. Girl threw her back into helping her city in whatever way she could.
While she also deals with a lot of super villains like any spider, her main focus is on the systemic corruption & exploitation of the innocent by the rich. Corrupt corporations, black market dealings, criminal organizations, organ harvesting, human trafficking. She deals with the darkest side of justice.
She also studies engineering & chemistry, but it isn't the sort of thing that she's invested in the way the other Spiders are. It's more a means for her to accomplish her actual goals. Jude is sorta her man in the chair & normally, she has him be her eyes for things like actually seeing blood or finger prints. Like, her sense of smell is strong enough that she can basically smell blood & when someone's touched something, but it's nice to be able to confirm that she's right.
She also has investigative features such as video & audio recording devices, luminal spray, a pressurized spray that acts similar to aluminum power but in spray form, she can press the palm of her suit to a fingerprint & it'll record it to be analyzed by her in-suit computer.
Miguel actually gave her an AI to identify & analyze things visually. This way, she won't have to rely so much on her little brother. His name is Alfie & he's Jude's buddy.
Anyway, even though she's as much of a powerhouse as any Spider, she's actually more stealth-focused as her preferred branch of crime fighting requires a lot of investigation. She's, likewise, mastered the art of going unnoticed. Which means being seen, but it doesn't register. It's all about posture & the energy you give off & whatnot. She's also the most silent Spider anyone knows.
As for her civilian identity, she is called the Ice Queen of the Courts. She has a near perfect record. The only reason she doesn't is when she knows for a fact that the defendant isn't guilty. She also takes such "defeats" with grace, congratulating her opponent's & wishing the defendant well. Yet in her mind, she still has a perfect record. Because the thing that matters most to her is the innocent being given their rightful due & the guilty likewise. As such, to her, she still won.
Because you see, when she knows for a fact that the defendant is guilty, she always wins. And the sentence is always to the fullest. Especially if she turned the bastard in personally. Is always able to prove their guilt to such a degree that not even the most corrupt judge is able to avoid sentencing without some serious side-eye & investigation of them. As a result, she is utterly detested by the corrupt sects of the justice system, which she wears as though it were a badge of honor. (Though, it does tend to result in her civilian identity & her family being targeted. Which she hates.)
She's both proud of & demoralized by how sharply child molester deaths in prison has increased, because on the one hand, it means that there are just so many of them out there, but on the other, she's at least making progress in her extermination efforts.
Because that's what these people are to her; parasites, vermin, pests. Good for nothing but wasting space & resources that could be better used elsewhere.
It's taken a her a long time, but she takes comfort in the words of Romans 8:28. "All things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." As while what happened to her was wicked & evil, she believes that it was allowed to happen so that she could become what she has. A woman who lives her life protecting people & especially children, with as much vigor as she does.
Of course, she never breaks the law. Maybe bends it a bit, but never breaks it. As far as anyone knows that is & if it was ever revealed that she was the Spider of her New York, she'd be able to easily defend her actions under the self-defense, defense of others, & other such laws.
Her influence has also been attributed to why so many corrupt cops & judges have been revealed & imprisoned.
There have, admittedly, been times when she, as Angel Spider, has had to fight such evil individuals, personally, having caught them in the act. (Not often, but it does happen.) And, there have even been instances where she's had to kill them, specifically when protecting others. However, in such situations, she's been able to defend herself as Angel Spider by using the defense of others law as her spearhead.
Interesting thing, even Super Villains don't mess with Mary Murdock because even they see molesters as the scum of the earth. Hell, Sandman openly protected her at one point because of it. Turns out he's an avid despiser of people who hurt kids being a dad & actually can't bring himself to hate Angel Spider due to her own very vocal disgust with child abusers. This results in Mary being determined to help him rehabilitate. (He later becomes a semi-casual hero in her universe & the 2 regularly team up. He dads her a little bit.)
Anyway, her father, despite himself, is exceptionally proud of her. Which is partly why it was so devastating when he was killed & became her canon event.
Mary refuses to take up the Daredevil name, not because she's ashamed of her father, but because she doesn't just want to strike fear into the hearts of criminals, she also wants to instill said criminals' victims with comfort. Similarly, she just does not want kids to associate devils with comfort & goodness. As such, she becomes Angel Spider. At night, her suit becomes almost pitch black, turning her into Night Spider, allowing her to fade into the background of the city at night.
While she has the characteristic, expressive spider-eyes, they're not see through & work mostly like cameras for Jude to see what she's doing & when he's not available, she records everything so he can look through it when he has the chance.
Her name & alias is a reference to cobwebs which are also called Angel Hair & Mary's Yarn.
Plans to name her firstborn son some variation of Timotheus meaning "one who honors God," Timmy for short; after Saint Timothy, who protects children. Ending up with Miguel, she names him Timoteo instead.
For Spider Society, she is a very sobering reminder that there are far darker evils in the world than super villains. Just her presence tends to encourage those around her to begin following her example & trying to deal with those same demons within their own worlds.
Peter B. had been especially struck upon learning her story, he'd tucked Mayday even closer to his chest as his mind replaced the scene with someone so dearly irreplaceable &... he just couldn't ignore it.
He was like a man possessed & begins rooting them out in his own universe whenever he could.
Pete becomes really protective of the youngsters super quick as a result. A little overbearing even.
Black Cat is a dude in Mary's universe & every bit as... Black Cat... Black hair, green eyes. Very teen heartthrob after college. Dude's a complete fuckboy. That's all I'm gonna say. Also extremely bisexual. Or... maybe he's just pretending to be to mess with her? She isn't sure. He's one of the only people she knows who she can't get a good read on.
He certainly flirts with enough men. Then again, maybe he just flirts with everyone regardless of whether he finds them legitimately attractive or not?
He's a mystery & hasn't been her type since she got out of college.
Mary is generally a pretty serious individual, but she can be funny in that she has a dry wit & deadpan humor. Doesn't do much witty banter in battle, but will banter at home whenever.
Enjoys debate & is an advocate of common sense.
She can also be mischievous, but more so in little ways.
Can think circles around most people with PhDs.
A master tactician.
Is actually a Dungeon Master, which she says helps her to be a resourceful & flexible strategist because players are chaos grimlins.
A very quick, on-the-spot thinker as a result.
DMs for Jude & his buddies, who all just think she's the coolest. Also sometimes DMs for the younger Spiders, but she actually prefers to be a player at Spider Society. Her current build is Shinigami Ninja which works like a multiclass of a Phantom Rogue & a Shadow Monk, just without the multiclassing. It's a subclass that she homebrewed herself.
Does a lot of homebrewing as she tends to be very creative.

YOU WEREN'T CRYING UNTIL HE SAID IT.
You weren't crying until Miguel starting lashing out at you, angrily balling up wads of important papers and hurling them at the wall, whether you happened to be a barrier between it and the papers, it wasn't really his concern right now. All he cared about was getting this new burst of anger out, and of course, it had to be something to do with you.
Miguel loved you, you knew this. He's said it, he's shown it to you, and he has no problem admitting it to other people. But sometimes you felt as if a person really loved you, why on earth would they be acting like this?
He stood behind his work station, fists angrily swelling as they curled themselves up into a ball. You could hear him breathing, but he refused to speak to you, because he knew that he would say things that he'd immediately regret if he did.
You, on the other hand, were standing up against the wall, now useless papers littered at your feet. Sniffled sobs ricocheted off of the brickwork behind you, your tears behind caressed by the wood floors that you stood on. You started for the door before stopping in your tracks, "Miguel. Look at me."
At first, he doesn't. But when he doesn't hear your footsteps fading to walk out, he slowly pivots on his heel, walking over to you heavily. You look up at his deep brown eyes, murmuring softly, "You....Y-You scared me. And I'm not...I'm not talking about past tense, either. You scare me, Miguel. I am scared of you."
You watched as the man before you crumbled at the mention of you being scared at him. Never in your life have you seen him look so sad, so downhearted, like he had been defeated by his own actions. His eyes are glossy as he reaches for you, and you subtly flinch, but he picks up on it.
"I..." He starts, biting the inside of his cheek at a loss for words. His big, calloused hand comes up to hold your cheek, which you sink into his palm when he caresses you. "I'm sorry, cariño, I-I didn't mean to...scare you." He whispers the last part of the sentence like it's a plague, as if he was disgusted by the contents of your conversation. You sniffle and look up at him through wet eyelashes, "'S okay."
"No, no, it's not." Miguel protests, shaking his head at your sweet response. He then brings both hands up to your face as he holds you dearly, so tender, as if he's scared to cause any harm to you.
He continues to talk, "Ay coño, mi preciosa. I hope you're not afraid of me-- I don't want you to be. You shouldn't have to be. You deserve better than that."
"Then be better, Miguel." You stated, your jaw hardening. He picks up on that and he rubs his thumb along your jawline and cheeks, murmuring sweet nothings and apologies to you. He nods,
"I will, I promise, I will."
