finally got myself to watch the rwrb movie and I really wish I could've pushed my book-fan bias aside and enjoyed it more than I did but in complete honesty I could not and I'm very sad now

#i just. specially with alex as a character #i feel like they took so much away from him #he does not feel like the same person #and i love him so much it makes me sad #its s good movie by itself dont get me wrong #but to me its just such a terrible adaptation that it sours the whole thing #im aware im being silly and dramatic but yeah idk its one of my favorite books and the movie missing so much of its depth makes me sad #specially character wise #thats it bye

#they could have done more with Radahn design-wise #The revelation that he's just a soul inhabiting the corpse of Mohg is poorly conveyed #The only hint you even get that it's Mohg's body are the little omen horns peeking from his bracers #Specially after the big reveal #when giving the secret rite scroll to Ansbach (my favorite character in the DLC)#I feel like they missed an opportunity to just dial up the body horror/shock value to an eleven in that final boss fight #Would've been cool seeing a resurrected Radahn for the first time #radiant in his golden armor #but looking a little distorted #with Mohg's lankier proportions #and omen horn stumps all over his body (with maybe small vestiges of Radahn actually making their way in visually due to the secret rite #elden ring #shower thoughts #my art

this drawing is from a couple mouths back now; ......but i still like it 😝 forbidden love as witnessed by ms. Varona. it killed off my traditional art kick when i was done with it, but i had fun. i used very faint watercolors for this one just to see how well i'd do with them and pencils together. my favorite part of it is this tree, love how it looked in this WIP pic i took:

had to compress the whole pic a bit cus it was huge, but a version that's a bit better can be seen heare, still not the best it could be, still crunchy, but better nonetheless

just played the latest honkai chapter and i gotta be honest... the last two chapters have been more interesting and well written than most of the part one story to me

#honkai impact #hi3 #dreamseeker #senadina #helia erdos #coralie 6626 planck #both story and character wise #and this might be a controversial take #but helia might be a better written character than any of the part one characters #even coralie got more development in the short time she had than a lot of part one characters did #like that scene with her and einstein fighting after the dog died did so much for her character and ties into what happens later really wel #but people just ignored that sadly #and whatever is going on with dreamseeker and senadina is way more interesting to me than anything in part one was up until chapter 16 #like i get that part 2 had a rough start #i was actually ready to hate it and quit playing for good #but i gave it a chance and im glad i did #and i love part one of course #kiana is one of my favorite characters of all time #so are mei and bronya #and their story will always be special to me #so im not trying to say part one was bad #but if part two continues with the same writing and story quality it has now it genuinely has a chance to be even better #and it makes me sad that its not as popular because a lot of people quit playing #or refuse to give it a chance and just breeze through it without engaging with the story at all
