Okay this is one of those times I could really use some help. The video uploader identifies this as the 2005 Spartakiad. I can usually muddle my way through videos with Russian gymnast identification if I have a copy of the results but I am having trouble locating the results of this competition. If you happen to either have the results or can identify the WAG gymnasts in this video I would appreciate it...

The VI Summer Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and was held in 17 cities of the USSR from March 19 to July 30, 1975. The chess competition was held on July 15–26 in Riga. 80 million Soviet athletes participated in all stages. The final competitions were held in 27 sports. 10,709 athletes competed in the finals. Participants of the Spartakiad set 21 records of the USSR and 6 world records.

Oh, just found this.

There was the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR, which started in 1956 and ended in 1991, which was held every four years with a winter and summer one.

Mentioning the Commonwealth Games yesterday got me thinking... did the Soviet states have any sort of pan-Soviet games? I don't think I've seen anything to say they did and I'm not 100% sure on what terminology to use to look for it if it did exist.

Because if they didn't, I'll be fucking flabbergasted.

Das Turn- und Sportfest der DDR fand von 1954 bis 1987 insgesamt achtmal in Leipzig statt. Bis 1963 noch als „Deutsches Turn- und Sportfest“, stand es in der Traditionslinie der bis 1933 durchgeführten 15 Deutschen Turnfeste und den beiden Deutschen Arbeiter-Turn- und Sportfesten. . Das erste Deutsche Turn- und Sportfest fand noch auf der Festwiese neben dem geplanten Zentralstadion, im Stadion des Friedens und im Bruno-Plache-Stadion statt. Mit dem 2. DTSF zog man in das neue Zentralstadion, welches 1956 eröffnet wurde. Hier fanden dann, wie bei allen folgenden Festen, die Hauptveranstaltungen statt: eine als sportliche Propagandaveranstaltung groß aufgezogenen Sportschau, oft ein Fußball-Länderspiel, eine internationale Leichtathletik-Veranstaltung sowie eine prächtige Abschlussveranstaltung. .
