Rough sketch of all their forms
DMC dream idea, with cameo of @tie-dyed-glades's AU Leon & Lulu.
(Naming my dream vessel Sio as usual)
---
Sio was born as the first kid of Sparda, back when he was still young. Younger Sparda lacks a lot of his future armoring, looking quite like DMC3 Vergil’s Devil Trigger form. Since he was much weaker than his older canon self, Sio inherited more aspects from the other parent (... felt like Sparda carried Sio), looking like a darker & simpler version of Nero’s Devil Trigger form. Sparda left little Sio somewhere with lots of humans to fend for themself.
Over the millennia, Sio steadily grows stronger, occasionally picking up more abandoned siblings, though that stopped once Sparda joined Mundus. The siblings tend to linger in the human’s civilizations, originally to discreetly feed off them, then later to hide from Sparda’s increasing number of enemies. Most of their siblings weren’t strong enough to live more than a few centuries, so their group continues to shrink.
Thousands of years later, Sio woke up from one of their decade-long deep sleep. They rejoin the agency (founded by their siblings) as a support agent. There were a few missions with Leon, where Sio informed the poor guy they have not seen his wife in ages. Leon does seem to have a glowing Lulu tattoo though.
Later on, they received news that, not only did their dear old dad actually settle down & marry, he spawned more little siblings? & didn’t even inform them??? (They heard it from another sibling) By the time they track down their new siblings, which happens during one of Leon’s missions, its to find Tony Redgrave? Gilver pings as a sibling too? (going by the fanon where Gilver is like Trish, but with Vergil)
---
Feels like Dante is a time traveler from DMC2? He’s all sad & suicidal AF, needing either Sio or a panicking Gilver to drag him out of danger.
Sio does not consider Sparda their father, only calling him the title mockingly
They do keep an eye on what he’s up to, if only out of morbid curiosity
As the firstborn, they do have some kind of bond to Sparda, able to feel his general condition & direction
Sparda has less & less kids as he became stronger, following the fanon stronger demons have lower fertility
Sio & the older Spardakin are technically weaker than the disaster twins since they were born when Sparda himself was still weak(ish) & are all full demons
Based of the fanon the reason the twins & Nero are so strong is due to their human blood
The siblings are more Jacks-of-all-Trades, having a variety of skills between them
In battle, Sio plays Tank to their siblings’ DPSes
Feels like I'm forgetting something 🤔
*Hours later* Oh shit I forgot about Vergil! 😱

now we just need to see how dmc5 plays out in your fateswap au 🍿🍿🍿
i don’t know!!!!!!!!!!! been kicking ideas around with quen but im feeling very [wiggles hand back and forth] about it. i mean in the larger scale it’s not been very hard to spitball that switching them around should still draw from the general trajectories of their normal damage… dante is easier then vergil in a lot of ways vis a vis cracking him like an egg honestly. i just really dont want to mindlessly replicate vergils issues onto him and vice versa!
au’s are a fun thought experiment in how somebody would get from point a to point b while being as recognizable as possible
#dmc5 is the culmination of vergil my friend vergils train crash#IT MUST BE SAID THO THAT VERGIL BEQUEATHING YAMSTO UNTO NERO#AND TAKING DEVIL SWORD SPARDA FOR HIMSELF OSY#AND THEN NERO IMMEDIATELY GETTING HIS ARM RIPPED OFF ABOUT IT#IS SOOOOOO FUNNY#i don’t think vergil would be super willing to let go of that thang though even if he’s got more of his shit together#it compliments his fighting style so much and he loves his things#dmc tag#fateswap au#dutiful firstborn vergil is so funny. sticking her foot in her fucking mouth to dante will simply always happen#pre dmc3 reunion….

What's Sparda's reaction to Vergil messing up Big Time? 👀
Oof. You know, Sparda doesn't get enough canon screen time to rate as a sympathetic character out right of the gate, but putting him through this is how you make him one.
Just imagine him coming back (after decades of imprisonment, if we're going with the story summary I posted) and finding out that his firstborn son -- the studious one, the one who always behaved more responsibly than his brother, the one he entrusted with the Yamato -- not only undid all the work Sparda spent thousands of years and made great sacrifices to accomplish (sealing Temen-ni-gru, et al.), but also turned against humanity, which Sparda gave up his powerful position in the underworld and waged war against his own master to protect. That with no warmth or apparent regard for his own childhood home, his son completely destroyed the city in which Sparda had built a life and made a family -- a place he probably dreamed of returning, in between whatever tortures were inflicted upon him in his captivity. That the son of his beloved wife had such disdain for the humanity she imparted to him that he tore it out of himself by force. That his own son murdered thousands (perhaps tens of thousands) of humans, of whom Sparda was the self-appointed protector.
I think Sparda's reactions would, in some way, parallel the stages of grief. Shock and disbelief, at first. Then fury. Blinding rage. Possibly even a threat of punishment or extermination, because the things Vergil has done are exactly the kind of threats to humanity that Sparda set himself against.
(This is where it gets fun for a writer, because while Dante has his own extensive set of daddy issues to deal with, I think he would actually stand up to Sparda if he thought Dad was really about to kill his brother. Sparda may be his long-lost father, but Vergil is his twin, and he did not drag his brother's sorry backside back from the brink and follow him into literal hell just to let him get offed by an outsized disciplinary spanking.
Dante would be the one to tell Sparda what Vergil suffered in his absence -- because Vergil certainly wouldn't, and probably deep down believes he deserves punishment anyway -- and, while not justifying Vergil's choices, would at least attempt to convey what a terrible place he was in when he made them.)
After the anger would come mourning for the loving family and the home Sparda had hoped to return to, and which he'll never be able to recover, now that the trust between them has been broken. Eva isn't around to bridge the gap, and the only thing they really have in common now is a unilateral hatred of Mundus.
Ultimately -- meaning, story endgame material -- I think Sparda would be able to come to terms with what Vergil had done, especially if Vergil were clearly no longer the same person who had committed those atrocities (the advantage of a story that's several hundred thousand words in length is that you have room for complex character arcs!). But it would take a lot of time and distance, and a lot of specific writing toward that goal.

Family in Blood and Bond
“I am not sick, Dante.” The very idea. There was absolutely no way that he, Vergil, firstborn of the legendary dark knight Sparda, was sick. He untangled himself from his little brother’s semi-embrace and took one step away. Then his stomach felt like it was doing somersaults and he actually warped to the bathroom.

A dark apron tied around his waist and covering his turtleneck, Sparda's eldest leaned down over the kitchen counter to inspect the result of the dessert he has been making in the past half an hour. Dipping a spoon into the reddish-yellow creamy concoction, he takes a small mouthful as taste-testing, only for two pairs of snowy eyebrows to furrow in telltale disappointment.
“Yet another incorrect admixture...” The firstborn suppressed a sigh of trite exasperation. “Just how exactly did you make it, Mother?”

Why do you have to do everything alone? You have a brother.
Gray-blue eyes flash with peril, for this nameless scum to even dare question his means.
The very brother who refused to acknowledge their birthright and the duty that follows in favor of misplaced sentimentality? The very brother who would rather thwart his pursuit of justice than see it through with him, for the sake of keeping his feeble humanity?
I am not a fool who is given to mere brotherly sentiment at the cost of a pivotal end.
And after said things considered, why would he risk involving the very brother who is not only too weak to protect himself, but also the everything he still has left, to a quest that has always been and shall always be his burden alone as the firstborn of Sparda and eldest of that which remains of their bloodline?
“ Dante made his choice and so did I. If you value each impertinent breath you take, then keep to your own concern, faceless pryer. ”

Drawing the Spardas gave me such a rush of creative adrenaline that made me create a new fandom oc, which is rare for me.
So yeah, here’s Beatrice, Sparda’s firstborn and she is 11 years older than the twins (this would probably be her DMC5 outfit, but I can’t remember the twins age in that game). I don’t have a name for the weapon yet, but I’ll think of one (boy do I need to learn to design weapons). There are others informations about her that I want to share (one of wich is kinda spoiled in the title but wtv) but they will come later.

I think your eldest just about crushed himself with self given anxiety and doubts over things you might have said about him when he was a boy. If I am to better help him recover from his years of self induced destruction, I'm going to need you to be honest with me: what are your thoughts on Vergil, both when he was a boy, and the man he is today?
“In truth? He was my baby. Perhaps unfair to Dante, the actual baby, but as desperate as Vergil wished to be a mama’s boy, he was my princeling and the light of my life. My heir. The future of our dynasty. There is no love quite like a father for his firstborn son..
He is angry with me now. Mayhaps for good reason, mayhaps not, but the fact remains, his pain from the time I was gone is immeasurable and no amount of salve from myself can soothe him. So I .. Frankly, I do not try? It is a unique pain, to be sure, to be cast aside by one you cherished so much, but I have little else to blame for that, save for myself..”
Sparda paused, though.
“ .. Are you a giant robot man?”

30 FOLLOWER 5 PART SPECIAL! TOP 50 HARDEST BOSSES I HAVE FOUGHT. Final - bosses 10 - 1
These bosses are the hardest. They are difficult the first time and difficult the tenth time. It takes extreme skill and patience to best these baddies. These are the ten bosses that gave me the most trouble of all bosses I can recall fighting.
NUMBER 10 - Neo Exdeath (Final Fantasy 5)
Neo Exdeath is the final form of the final boss of Final Fantasy V. I feel that I might have said final to much in that last sentence…oh well. Neo Exdeath is divided into five parts; each part is responsible for a specific attack. This boss can use very powerful magic such as meteor to just bombard the main cast. The ultimate corruption of the warlock Exdeath, this form simply wishes to return all of existence back to utter nothingness. He attacks relentlessly, leaving little room for error and will bombard even the most slightly unprepared player. In FFV, the job system is more important than leveling, so make sure you have a good job lineup. His ultimate attack is called Grand Cross, which is announced before he actually uses it. Grand cross can wipe a party out instantly, as it infects them with a bunch of status ailments, and the farther the battle drags on, the more he uses it. After a long and difficult fight, this monster is swallowed by the very void it coveted. Neo would later reappear in the MMO Final Fantasy XIV as a boss.
Hardest thing about this boss – His ultimate attack. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 9 - Senator Armstrong (Metal Gear Rising Revengence)
Senator Armstrong is the main antagonist and final boss of Metal Gear Rising. The senator of Colorado that played college ball at the university of Texas. Senator Armstrong owns his own PMC (Private Military Company) and uses it as a police force for the city of Denver. A cold man who has big dreams for America but does not care about cutting down innocent lives of his own people to do so. He utilizes social media to his advantage in order to “use war as a business to end war as a business”. When Raiden fights him, he first uses a massive metal gear, but Raiden makes quick work of it, then the senator and Raiden engage in a long fight. Armstrong has these things called Nanomachines which render him near invincible. Most attacks do not even phase him, and his attacks can be devastating. He can cause fire to spew from the ground, he can throw giant metal pillars at Raiden, and he can just deliver simple yet decimating punches. He is the only boss with 200 health and can regenerate at will. The fight will be very tough, and any mistake will be meet with a nanomachine fueled punch to the face.
Hardest thing about this boss – Trying not to get distracted by the awesome music. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 8 - Sage Kabuto (Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3)
Ok, so the ultimate ninja storm games are not that hard. Most bosses are flashy but easy. Ultimate ninja storm 3 had perhaps the toughest bosses in the series, such as Zabuza, Madara and Tobi. However, in the secret chapter only available in the special edition do we get to fight Kabuto. Kabuto is tough, most bosses in the game have about 2 – 3 bars of health, Kabuto has nearly 10. Kabuto has a very wide variety of moves, combos and plenty of AOE attacks and other special moves. He has unlimited chakra as well, meaning he can spam his special attacks if he so pleases and can always rush towards and away from you. He is also constantly in his ultimate form, meaning his physical attacks are amplified. The only upside is that you get two characters to play as. The quick time events are not difficult and can give some reprieve from his overbearing nature. I would regard him as the hardest boss in the Naruto game series.
Hardest thing about this boss – His elaborate attacks and boatload of health. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 7 – Vergil (Devil May Cry 3)
Vergil is the last boss and main antagonist of Devil May Cry 3. Vergil is Dante’s brother, and the two are always at odd ends with each other. Vergil sides with demons while Dante sides with humans. Vergil loves swordplay and detest guns, probably due to his brother’s fondness of guns. He is fought early on in DMC 3 where he defeats Dante. However, due to circumstances I wont cover here, he must fight alongside his brother to combat a bigger threat… Only to turn on him and have one final showdown. Vergil is as skilled as Dante; his swordplay makes in a deadly foe. He can use magic to attack at a range and he can quickly close in gaps of space and give Dante very little breathing room. Since he is also a son of Sparda and a half demon, Vergil has a demon form much like Dante. In his demon form, which he can activate multiple times, his attacks are even more powerful and its easier for him to land the deadly blows. Vergil has a lot of health and can even regenerate, albeit slowly, in his demon form. Eventually he is defeated and chooses to stay behind in the demon world. This choice does not work out for him, as seen in the original Devil May Cry. DMC 3 is a prequel by the way.
Hardest thing about this boss – How fast he can be. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 6 - Shao Kahn (Mortal Kombat 9)
I wont lie, this boss is perhaps the most brutally unfair fight on the list. Shao Kahn is the big baddie of the Mortal Kombat series, and in every game he is in, he is a cheap and overpowered boss. Of all the times I fought him, his appearance in Mortal Kombat 9’s story mode was the worst. You fight him as Raiden (not to be confused with Metal Gear’s Raiden). For me, Raiden was not a character I enjoyed playing as, but Shao Kahn made me improve my thunder god skills. Kahn knows every move you will do and will punish you for just about anything. His attacks do a lot of damage and your attacks do next to nothing. He can easily brick wall you (meaning he wont flinch) and knock you out of a combo. What’s worse is that you must beat him twice in order to truly defeat him. I nearly outright quit MK 9 because of this fight. I persevered, and after one grueling hour of rage, I beat him. He is not as bad in arcade mode, but he is still as cheap as dirt.
Hardest thing about this boss – WHY IS EVERY ATTACK SO BRUTAL?! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 5 - The Nameless King (Dark Souls 3)
The nameless king is a secret boss in Dark Souls 3 and is often considered to be the hardest boss in the base game. After overcoming Archdragon Peak and reaching the end, you are met face to face with the supposed firstborn of Gwyn, the main god of the Dark Souls story. The battle starts with the king riding a storm drake. For this part the drake must be defeated first. It often flies high out of range and the king throws lightning and tries to slash at you with his spear. The dragon also breaths fire and tries to crush you with its body. After the dragon is slain, the king takes you on one on one. He is fast, hard to stagger and his moves can easily destroy you. The key is learning when to dodge his attacks. Blocking can get you destroyed so dodging is the best option. He does leave himself open often, but he has a lot of health and is quick to retaliate against aggression. If you die to his second form, you must fight the first form again. Also, he is the only bosses that must be defeated 3 times to get the platinum trophy… Thanks Fromsoft.
Hardest thing about this boss - His second form’s aggressive style and damage output. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 4 - The witch of the Lake (Salt and Sanctuary)
Of all the bosses on this special, from 50 to number one, this is the boss I despise the most. More than Shao Kahn, more than Dr. Robotnik and his beans, more than Carry Armor and its laser. This boss takes the cake for ultimate worst boss on this list. Salt and Sanctuary combines metroidvania exploration and platforming with the combat and learning curve of dark souls. The witch of the lake is a late game boss that punishes all types of players. She is the only boss I would consider blatantly unfair. All of her moves can easily one shot you regardless of level or armor. She attacks aggressively and tends to keep herself airborne so getting her into a combo is next to impossible. Many of her attacks home in on you and stretch out in such a way that dodging them might be downright impossible. Her one melee attack can send you flying and will also allow her to follow up with a magic attack to destroy you. This boss is downright cruel and serves as a roadblock for many players. The only upside is that there is a checkpoint right next to the arena.
Hardest thing about this boss – The relentless magic attacks. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 3 - Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts 1)
Sephiroth is a recurring superboss in the Kingdom Hearts series, appearing both in kingdom hearts 1 and 2. While both incarnations are hard, KH1 Sephiroth takes home the gold. Sephiroth is the only opponent of the platinum match, and Sora fight him alone. Sephiroth has the highest health of any enemy in the game and also has some of the most damaging attacks in the game as well. He starts simple, slashing his large sword around for moderate damage. He will then start to teleport and summoning powerful fire based AOE attacks. He will use dark magic to attack Sora, chain together EXTREMLY long combos in a berserk rage. However, his two most deadly attacks are his meteor spell, which summoning huge rocks that damage on touch and render him invincible, and his heartless angel attack. The heartless angel reduces Sora’s HP and MP to 1. HE often follows up with teleporting behind Sora to finish him off. He likes to teleport out of Sora’s sight to use heartless angel, so mobility and awareness is key in this duel. Upon beating him, you are rewarded his journal entry, and in final mix you get a new key blade.
Hardest thing about this boss – His heartless angel attack and it’s follow up. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NUMBER 2 - Darkeater Midir (Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City)
Darkeater Midir was for me, the ultimate challenge of Dark Souls 3. Every Dark Souls game has a DLC dragon. One had Kalmeet, who I destroyed on my first try thanks to my halberd. Two had Sihn, who gave me trouble but not nearly as much as the horrible boss immediately before him. Three has Midir. Midir is the largest ‘proper’ dragon in the series, and boy does he have the health to prove it. Midir has over 15000 hit points and insanely high defense, so in other words buckle up because you are going to be fighting him for a while. Midir is rarely not attacking, he has physical attacks that can hurt, fire breath that can destroy you…and a Godzilla beam that will obliterate all in its wake. As the fight rages on, he starts to even use abyss magic against you. Any error in this fight may very well result in a death. On top of all that, its only weak spot is its head. In order to cut the timer short and beat this boss in less than 10 minutes, you will have to risk fighting it directly. Calling for help may not be the best option, because it makes Midir’s ludicrous health pool even deeper.
Hardest thing about this boss – His extremely high HP and his devastating attacks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NUMBER 1 - The Orphan of Kos (Bloodborne)
Now, I know I have been using the word “aggressive” a lot in these past few parts. Pardon my redundancy. This boss is not aggressive, no, he is super-ultra-ultimate aggressive! The Orphan of Kos is the ultimate challenge in Bloodborne, a game all about fighting crazy battles, trading blows and going up against men, beast and even aliens in a weird Eldritch world. The orphan is the final boss of the DLC of Bloodborne. Fought on a beautiful beach, its hard getting settled while being bombarded by its screams at all times. This monster never lets up, he is always on the offense. Armed with a rather disgusting weapon, the Orphan speeds around and will make mincemeat of any hunter who dare approaches. If you have not mastered the art of parrying with a firearm in this game, you are doomed. He has high health, hardly flinches and has more attacks than I can possibly list. Any mistake will result in you getting obliterated, and this is only the first form. After taking enough damage, it will grow gross fleshy wings and become even faster! While in this agitated state, it hits harder and can even take to the sky momentarily to divebomb you. If you are half a second off with any shot, you will be punished. This boss also has several damaging AOE attack, however, its lightning one can give a hunter a moment to breath due to its long animation. This is a boss where absolutely no mistake can be made. Due to this, I consider the Orphan of Kos to be the pinnacle of boss difficulty. There may be harder bosses down the line, perhaps when I get around to playing Nioh or the other Ninja Gaiden games, but the Orphan deserves the gold medal.
Hardest thing about this boss – EVERYTHING! HE NEVER STOPS! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, so thats it.We made it. Thank you all, you made this possible. Our next multi-part special will be at 50 followers! So see you then! A final, huge shout out to @savannahsunstone for being my best friend for the last six years and for introducing me to tumblr. Had it not been for them this blog would not have existed. So a raise of the glass to one of the best gamer that I know!

He gathered that it was some sort of a combat game as much, thus he needed to select a fighter to represent him in some sort of... electronic, technological match, or whichever word they use to describe the means that enables a makeshift match done upon the screen of a television.
Such method did not sit well with his principle initially, as it was beyond cowardly to him: to have something else took his place in a battle, that was until he recalled how Rust and Oblivion seemingly fought against one another whilst clutching their "controllers". Vergil looked down into such device currently held in his hand, spotting some sets of complicated buttons bearing alien symbols. Bearing its name in mind, it was likely then, that rather than having some sort of electronic effigy taking his place, he would merely control their movesets as though he was the one to take their role upon the screen. That part at least acceptable to him.
Though much to his surprise, it was the taciturn girl who had seemingly taken up the mantle of an adviser. Her subtle attempt to make up for her earlier tactless statements against his qualities, perchance?
As I apprised you, she meant no personal ill-intent with her statements.
Merely lacks the insight as to what others may perceive from her impetuous remarks, he agreed with V sardonically.
Always be ready to speak your mind and a base man will avoid you? His humanity had the nerve to tease him by quoting Blake of all poets.
What is now proved was once only imagined, he riposted with another quote mentally.
Whichever Oblivion's intent actually was, she seemed genuine enough in her advising, well, as genuine as Vergil could discern from her perfectly apathetic expression. And if her intent was indeed ill, she wouldn't have counteracted her own efforts giving out advices upon the mechanic of the game that would provide him with the means to beat her in it, would she? Of that he was aware and certain.
A means determines the result, as it had been established. Thus if he were to choose a character whereby he must win this electronic battle, then it was only prudent to choose one that who qualities and movesets bear most resemblance to his own. It was with this deliberation that he chose a fighter with a lither build and lofty height to resemble his own physique, as well as a weapon that was basically the kin of his. Where his Yamato was a katana, the fighter's weapon was a nodachi. By no means it was wielded with the exact same technique, but it was the closest to none he could find to his own.
“Good pick.” The taciturn girl commented, in praise much to his veiled surprise. “He just came out recently and he’s good to play.”
“Also! With this guy, mister, you can do cool combos!” The youth with shaven head added cheerfully in approval.
Hmph, evidently. As if there's ever any doubt upon my sagacity in choosing, a so-called video game character, nevertheless.
Or so he thought, while pressing the... Vergil peered down inquisitively to find the "a" button that the taciturn girl informed him off and pressed it to confirm his choice.
Hah! That is one point to the firstborn of Sparda and zero to this crude form of human-made entertainment called video game.
All around him, each of the youth had finished selecting their own representative fighters as well, barring their irascible leader, Shdwkyz, and Jaron that is.
“Got all that? Good, let’s get ready.”
Hold up just there!
Vergil's head bobbed up and down in dismay, between the screen as it changed into a clock tower with a full moon hanging upon the background sky, and the controller he held in one, trying to remember which button was to confirm, cancel, and execute combos as Oblivion and Gerald had informed him.
‘READY’ A mechanical sound from the darn television announced.
Why you piece of insolent human-made entertainment device of a scum!–
‘GO!’
BELAY THAT!!
Vergil opened his mouth, intent to finally verbalizing his inner monologue. But before he could so much move his tongue to form a syllable, pandemonium broken upon the screen as his surroundings erupted into a mix if excited yell and frenzied youthful adrenaline.
“Vergil! Watch out!” The Yamato fell with a soft thud against his chest as his other hand shot up to grab hold of the controller as well upon Ink's warning. “Not today guys!”
The cambion's normally composed comportment has defaced by a series of graceless movements as he alternated between attempting to remember which button does what and what moveset should be performed to both attack and defend against the brutal decimation upon the screen. His eyebrow twitched vigorously as both his eyes and head flitted and tilted up and down between the screen and the controller in his hand. While the rest of the other characters performed extensive and elaborate movesets, his was merely walking back and forth between uncoordinated slashes and thrusts.
These hellions are more vicious than Underworld's most vicious herd, especially that Oblivion girl. Vergil couldn't but think as he watched between helplessness and intense aggravation as his character was mauled and tossed off stage repeatedly every time it appeared.
He had a distinct impression that Vanity Ink attempted to assist him as the purple dragon-like creature that was her character seemingly attempted to shield his x but because Vergil had absolutely no idea what to be done at that point, his character nearly hit hers several times and when he attempted to get away from hers to spare her the damage by his uncharacteristic clumsiness.
“Okay, this time! I’ll get you guys!”
“Want to see you try! OBLIVION! Oh darn it!”
“Gerald!”
“Sorry!”
Vergil was only vaguely aware of which button he pressed at that time, but somehow it caused his character to jump over Ink's protection and he couldn't discern which character the attack came from, but it had his character blasted off the stage again but this time, it did not return as it did previously.
“I believe I have encountered some manner of error with my...” Vergil announced with a tad higher tone as his normally even voice was laced with frustration amidst the yelling children. “–controller.” he finished with a slight grimace as though it pained him physically to utter the word.
As if to emphasize his point, he gave said a controller a light shake as though doing so might make his character appeared on the screen once more.
vischys:
It remained undecided whether it was fortunate or unfortunate that his hearing was also part of his senses enhanced by his demonic heritage, thus despite Rust’s seemingly attempt to respect Vergil’s dignity by scolding his colleague in an urgent whisper, the cambion still overheard it quite clearly.
“… You can’t just go callin older people old. I mean…sure he looks like it but it doesn’t mean ya have to say it. Older people don’t like that.”
Looks like it!?

uHHHH ok a few things about my portrayal before i get docs set up i guess
agnus is a cherub . second only to the seraphim ( not counting God ) , he was sent to fortuna because he was meant to guide the people away from false idols ( sparda ) . that went . not well .
sanctus scares the everloving shit out of agnus . as agnus was to take a ‘ human form ’ to be among mortals , sanctus took the opportunity to uh . well , he found out agnus was an angel & there’s a reason agnus only seems to have one eye ( sanctus took the other one )
his ‘ ascension ceremony ’ was meant to purify the souls of the people in the order . when that didn’t work well , he started tearing off some of his hundred - hundred wings of his real form , turning the demon soldiers into lesser angels by the blessing of his cherub wings . it left him exhausted .
his ‘ demon form ’ , the locust , is not a demon form at all . it is symbolic of the eighth plague , counting backwards from ten ( death of the firstborn ; God ) , nine ( days of darkness ; seraph ) , eight ( locust ; cherub ) so on so forth , looping back to agnus is a cherub . thus , this form is a way that God uh . tried to give another warning to the people of fortuna , it did not work .
agnus really wants to go back to heaven , earth is Not great , he’s disheartened with humans & how far they’ve strayed . but , at the same time , he does also ... have a fondness ? of some sorts ? he cares , but he’s just not doing great .
agnus doesn’t ? hate nero ? or dante ? he’s . very unsettled , though , considering his nature as a cherub , which , for those who are wondering , are not cute babies , they’re high angels & they’re made up of animal parts & eyes & hundreds of hundreds of wings — well , his angelic nature puts him at odds with demons so it’s just . kneejerk reaction . he has learned that not all demons are evil . similarly , not all people who say they are holy are actually holy ( sanctus )

Introduction & Masterpost
Hi, I’m Toschi. I’m German and 23 years old. Whenever the motivation strikes, I write fanfics for The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, Devil May Cry and other franchises if I feel like it. The motivation rarely ever comes, but it has been known to happen occasionally. I’m always willing and happy to talk about anything I’ve written, so don’t be shy if you’re curious about something. I also have a bunch of OCs that I haven’t really posted about yet (even though I really want to) because I’m a bit shy on that subject but questions are still welcome.
Below the cut, you’ll find a masterpost of everything I have written and that is currently public.
Last list update: 1 July 2023

“I am not sick, Dante.” The very idea. There was absolutely no way that he, Vergil, firstborn of the legendary dark knight Sparda, was sick. Vergil watched on with a sense of pride. It’s not every day one gets to show off his firstborn son to his own father. The hybrid watched on with a hint of a smile, blue eyes constantly shifting between Sparda and the baby.
“Nero,” he replied softly, visibly relaxing his shoulders. “A fitting name, is it not?”
@lostsonofsparda liked for a starter with Sparda ~
☠ ─── "Such a darling young babe," the tall demon muttered with slight curve of a smile. He bounced the small Nero in his arms, picking him up to hold the infant over his head, inspecting. Sparda then lowered Nero slightly to sniff the child's fluffy hair. Nero bursted into a fit of giggles, reaching with tiny hands to grab at his grandfather.
"What did you say his name was?"

@umbranway continued from x
“ Let me introduce myself once more; seems like you don’t recognise me. I am Vergil, son of the Dark Knight Sparda, Devil King to the throne of Hell and firstborn of the Umbran Witch Eva; once a sister of yours. ”
He could not have expected her to remember still---the fact that he and Dante were born, an abnormality of nature themselves, as is Cereza. Rosa had to deal with the consequences of her own choices the same way his parents did and then he and his twin. Hunted down for decades---how cruel could their societies be, to condemn mere children for the sole reason that they were born. Even so, they had survived. And the King was more than just interested on vastening his powers with the use of the Umbran blood in his veins. Rosa would prove more than useful, should she agree on showing him her ways.
Proudly, he kept his head high while the woman he called his own Aunt approached and studied him throughoutly. Of course, to her he was nothing more but an inhuman being he could call a mere ‘demon’, not knowing the offense of a title it was for a nobleblood.
“ I assure you, this is no glum, dear Aunt; simply my features, similar a bit too much to my devil father. ”

@demon-blood-youths ━ continuation of this.
True to his words, two days thenceforth found the firstborn of Sparda appeared in the location and time as per accord. His towering and proud profile a contrasting sight in the dusky alley of a less crowded street away from the center of the city's nightlife right at the stroke of midnight. He was holding a brown envelope containing sums of which he proffers to eponymous Phantom Slasher.
“Your share of the commission earnings,” he elaborated simply.
