After the great success of our hybrid KiScon 2024 in Seattle, we return to your computer for an online convention in 2025. Join us for another intense weekend filled with fun, games, panels, competitions, and shows – and thanks to Zoom and Discord you can join us right from your computer or mobile device, no matter where on Terra you are.

If you have never taken part in an online convention before: fear not, we are here to guide you through everything step by step, and we will organise training sessions so you can get familiar with the technology before the convention weekend.

Well, friends, I've never done a whump fest before. I'm very excited to try. I am enough of a weenie that I have to have the hurt/comfort at the end (well at least for most of them, one or two of the prompts surprised me.) It's pretty multi fandom as I go through the prompts and start planning what I want to do. So far, for shippy fics I have Kirk/Spock, (duh of course who bleeds prettier than Jim?) Aziraphale/Crowley, Sterek, Bones/Spock/Jim, and Rickyl. Some surprises (for me at least lol) The Doctor and Donna (not shippy) Ellie/Alec (very shippy) Ellie and Joel (not shippy). So .. yay!

In one of the MELE playthroughs I'm following, the player is about to reach the "About Horizon" email and it has reminded me of something that really surprised me when I started to interact with fandom content.

It had never crossed my mind that that email could be seen as something bad. I mean, I expected it from the Kaidan haters who love to twist everything he says, but I have even seen it from some shenkos.

The guy starts by saying he's sorry about what he said in Horizon and then tries to explain what was going on in his mind. Yeah, he mentions seeing someone else, but he's just being honest and straight forward (as he has always been), two things that are essential in any relationship, romantic or not, specially if there's been a fight and you are trying to mend things. Plus, it's been two years for him and he never says he has found love. In fact, everything sounds pretty reluctant and casual. And even so, he then goes to say that everything turned upside down when he saw Shepard and is obvious that he wants to talk with her again and try to patch up their relationship.

Overall, I have always thought that it is an email from a very confused yet madly in love man.

Side note: I have the Spanish version and they messed up a bit with the translation and instead of Kaidan going out on a date with some doctor, they made it sound as if he was having a drinking problem and went to see a doctor for help 😅

Voting is open from 10 September to 1 November, 2023 (11:59 p.m. EDT). You do not need to be a registered KiScon member in order to vote; voting is open to every K/S fan.

In each category there will be a Gold (first place) and a Silver (second place) winner.

The winners will be announced during KiScon 2023 (3-5 Nov). Each winner will receive a certificate and a small prize; we will contact the winners after the convention weekend.

You need to be logged into your Google account in order to submit the voting form; this ensures that people do not vote multiple times for the same work. If we suspect sockpuppet activity, we will get in touch for clarification. We keep the voting process completely confidential! Only the KiScon concom will see the submitted forms.

In each category you can pick one work.

You can submit the form only once, but you can edit your responses if you need to add or change something (just follow the link in the email you receive after submitting the form). You cannot edit your responses after voting has closed, so make sure you have picked your favourite in all categories that are important to you.

Yes, you *can* vote for your own work(s). We won't judge you. ;-)

-Late Night Reading In The Captains Quarters- Mock TV clip (Spirk- Mlp Star Trek Crossover)

Just some fluffy equine space husbands spending some quality time in the Captain’s quarters. 

Who needs to read when you have a wining and clingy Captain at your side, begging you to “Put the damn book down and snuggle some more!”? Hoping to irritate and provoke his pointy eared goblin enough that in return, he’ll get some nibbles as “punishment on the neck (not unlike a mother dog, punishing her puppy for acting out of turn). 

No matter how fascinating and riveting the marvelous history of the expanse of the universe  concept of passing time is, not even the most dedicated and focused Vulcan can resist his “T’hy’la’s wishes.

A pleasant way to end the long shifts aboard the Enterprise, lets leave them in peace and privacy, shall we?.

I had been feeling an itch to play MELE again for months but, since I didn't have much time, I decided to just watch someone elses's playthrough. However, I found so much hate and vitriol towards Kaidan that I just went "whatever", and started a new playthrough to give my man the love he deserves.
