I gotta talk about Vanak Faithwalker, an Astral Ward charr who is part of the Amnytas Meta event. And now potentially confirmed a nonbinary character.

They have a feminine charr model, while their voice is deep and masculine, I absolutely adore how their voice sounds and how they look. I always wondered what they identified by, but there was no clues anywhere in SotO.

But now in Janthir Wilds, we meet them again and get some confirmation via the Commander's journals.

Vanak is referred to by 'they' in the Commander's journals. As shown below. (Chapter 1 and chapter 2 journal snippets below.)

Always wanted to do a what-if fully corrupted Mael, and what better opportunity to do so than Isgarren's shady little experiments? Introducing codename "Harbinger", also known as Sun Eater, Fenrir, Shadowlord, Bleak Raven.

As a failsafe in case of the Commander ever losing himself to the demon magic he wields, the Wizards ran a simulation of the worst possible future - orchestrating the deaths of all his loved ones, to the point he finally lost himself to madness. All in all, standard fractal business - except, whoops, the real Mael was never supposed to learn of Sun Eater's existence! And Sun Eater was never supposed to learn it wasn't in the real Tyria! Oh no... what's this about scientific hubris...? A little fucking around and finding out, perhaps?

And oh no! Is the former Pact Commander (the real deal) now plotting to assassinate Isgarren as well as trick the Wayfinder, Maolmuire, into slaying him in turn to prevent the possibility of a very dark future? Maybe.

His mental state hasn't been the best in quite some time and this is the straw that broke the camel's back. Except it was several bricks thrown at his head.

i did not like that my commander got called wayfinder so i came up with someone who would take over that title and just work with one of my commanders, problem solved + made a pretty new sylvari. Win win.

Ngl I really hate the Wayfinder title. I didn't come here on purpose, I did not intend on joining Astral Ward or whatever. It doesn't matter if YOU consider ME a wayfinder that is simply not a title I worked for or even asked for. Accept me as the commander bc that's who I am no matter what you magic addicts think. Jfc. Throwing out a thought I had on something in SotO and LWS2

What if this tapping into Tyria thing that Wizards do is similar in what Omadd's Machine does?

We described seeing how Tyria is woven when in it, and our allies say we were screaming when in the machine.

Maybe Omadd managed to build a machine that performs the action that Wizards normally do.
