Sorcerer’s Apprentice #6, spring 1980, by Flying Buffalo, edited by Liz Danforth, with C Lee Healy’s cover art. Charles R Saunders’ article “Fantasy Superfight!” pondered the outcome of a battle between Conan and Tarzan. Saunders published his first Imaro novel the following year, and his work is regarded as the beginning of the “Sword & Soul” genre of fantasy based in African cultures. Other contributors to this issue included Michael Stackpole and Larry DiTillio.

Fantasia 2000 is great because it has a segment starting Donald Duck that not only implies that Noah saw Donald Duck naked but God probably told Noah “Look, I’m sick of the way of the way mankind is, so grab two of every animal, your family, and Donald & Daisy Duck. Love those two”
But really, great showcase of Donald and Daisy. I remember seeing this in imax with my grandpa and siblings and just being so moved by everything. It’s genuinely heartbreaking when both Donald and Daisy think the other didn’t make it and whenever the two would pass by each other on the ark without noticing the other
And that reunion. It’s so wonderful!
Also the song Pomp and Circumstance just goes so well with the story!

I also love that the segment preceding it was the Sorcerer’s Apprentice and that the introduction to Donald’s segment had an interaction between him and Mickey. It was like the passing of the torch in a way
If they make another Fantasia, Goofy should star in his own segment

Disneyland Secret #452
Here’s one that I don’t even know. I did see it but the camera couldn’t catch it in the short amount of time I’ve had. But here is a photo of the sorcerer’s apprentice hat on the Indiana Jones and the Temple of the forbidden eye attraction.

They told him to observe plants.
They didn’t tell him when to stop.
He’s out there observing, Sorcerer’s Apprentice-style, till Yen Sid comes to split his camera roll like the Red Sea.
kinda obsessed with this old guy with over 100,000 observations on iNaturalist because he goes into the forest every night and takes photos of every plant he comes across. what drives that kind of man. what's going on with your home life. can i join

Concept: Sorcerer’s Apprentice AU where the setting is aaaalmost the same (Stoic n Valka are Merlin’s apprentices, Viggo is the traitor—and how can he not be in the same role as Horvath when they’re literally the same actor LOL—Valka sacrifices herself to help seal Morgana in the Grimhold like in the movie).
The twist is that the Prime Merlinian is their son and kidnapped from a young age. Viggo, intending to try to steal Hiccup’s power for himself (and keeps him in a state of suspended animation as he does his research), is unsuccessful for centuries until at last he realizes his quest is impossible so he does the next best thing: raise Hiccup as his own so he can control him.
A. I really just like the idea of how it might be if Viggo raised Hiccup and it was a father/son n mentor dynamic between them
B. If you couldn’t tell Viggo is my new favorite character and I’m taking every chance I can to draw him LOL
He’s just got an interesting face to draw and a compelling character to me yk, I’d like to explore more things with him.
(Don’t worry, next post about this AU will have more Hiccup n Jack stuff xD )

The brothers loved to put on little plays to entertain the other orphans or street preform for some loose change. Their favorite was one about a wizard and ranger going on a wacky adventure.
I was looking back at this au's upbringing and forgot how basic their designs were. The story is still little lmao. So I decided to reuse them as their old costumes for a play and may revise their final form for the adventures end

What if, instead of the Sorcerers' Society being just a small organization with a headquarters, it was instead a hidden city or capital where not only could sorcerers go to for assistance and to get their licenses, but could safely live and learn without having to put so much effort into hiding their magic from general human public? (Something similar to Witch Hat Atelier perhaps)
A hidden away capital with houses and apartments and magical shops selling everything a sorcerer would ever need. Where they can safely converse on the street and network and apprentices can talk to each other and swap tales of their lessons and masters.
Out in the expanse of the human world, it's hard to come by each other so having a place to live like that would be great.
But also it would make Solomon getting chased out by a dragon so much funnier (or sadder) since he and the mystery apprentice would have been the ones to found the Sorcerers' Society in the first place.
He would probably own his own house there and come back there whenever there was a meeting he had to attend or some urgent matter to discuss. Solomon wouldn't stay there longer than he usually had to and his property is usually empty.
But when sorcerers usually take in an apprentice, that apprentice lives with their master in order to make the most of learning opportunities and a lot of them tend to move back to the Sorcerers' Society for convenience.
If Solomon was able to convince MC to live with him for "educational purposes" completely separate from the brothers and Devildom, who's to say he wouldn't give living amongst his peers an honest try once more?

Okay, both times you guys have guessed correctly, so I’ve upped the difficulty a little bit with this one. So! People who have never watched Once Upon a Time (or haven’t watched it in a long time) which of these things am I lying about?
