Getting photos of animals like this fox cub requires patience and quiet.

In a similar vein, I had to sit very still and use silent shutter to get this one.

At least this red deer was easy to photograph. As I approached it stopped eating and stood very still, maybe out of caution. But it posed perfectly for me, and I took this photo while it stood there.
