Shadow and an Iris!
Being that Iris is also the name of the Greek Goddess of Rainbows that bore messages between those within the pantheon, the flower often symbolizes a message of its own. When broken down, the three points of an iris are sometimes used to symbolize faith, wisdom, and valour, but all together, the flower is used to indicate a message of some sort. Often, it is good news, but never judge too quickly!
Shadow doesn't always communicate very well, do they? Too often they say they don't have time for 'games' or conversation. Even when not in the middle of something they think is important, they very rarely take the time to verbally articulate their thoughts. It's only to the select few, and under very specific circumstances, that Shadow will open up about what they are thinking or feeling.
Hopefully, with time, Shadow will get better at getting their message across.

Here's my flower fact \/\/\/
Heres my drawing for the Sonic Garden @shadowxamyweek!
It's merely a head-cannon but I would think she could develop epilepsy as a side affect of her condition, but idk I just wanted to feel more seen since epilepsy is not really talked about enough which sucks for me since I suffer from it, so might as well make my own stuff.
But yeah I found it interesting since Shadow apparently smells like Lavender sooooo idk it could be possible. Also bc it's one of my fav flowers / colors. Also the color is also associated with epilepsy. Funny how life works
#SonicGarden#Yes I head-cannon Maria as Latina thats why she has those evil eye bracelets :)#I had way too much fun playing around with colors and Purple!

@mat_aki

Amy Rose with Bleeding Heart!
Bleeding heart is used to symbolize deep, powerful emotions. Love and heartbreak are often the focus. Amy would argue however that, really, they are not two separate emotions. All emotions, she believes, have a core of love. It's just a matter of how you love and how you share that love with the world and those around you.

Sonic Garden
(This has been brewing for ages in my brain and I'm actually really excited to try and get this event going. Thank you @nodulemodule for actually coming up with the name!)
This June, in celebration of our favorite Blue Blur who himself loves to slow down and smell the wildflowers every now and again, I would like to propose the Sonic Garden. The goal of Sonic Garden is to, through a united affection for the Sonic story and characters, share information about plants! Any type of plants! All types of plants! And all types of information too! If you wish to infodump about the edible, medicinal, magical, and/or symbolic background of a plant, feel free!
And you can participate in any way you wish! If you want to use a photo and some figures/props/digitally edited in aspects, sure! If you want to draw the entire thing, go for it! If you would rather just write a short piece, feel free!
For example:
Sonic and dandelions! Did you know that Dandelions can be found all over the globe? The only place they don't seem to like is Antarctica.
I guess if Sonic wants to enjoy a dandelion salad as he watches glaciers float by full of peckys and rockys, he's just going to have to bring his own.
(If you are going to use a picture of the plant, make sure there are no people in frame and nothing that would endanger or expose anyone involved! Your privacy is valuable!)
Remember to use the tag #SonicGarden when sharing! That way, we can all find it!
#SonicGarden#I'M ACTUALLY REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THIS I'VE WANTED TO DO IT FOR A LONG TIME!#sonic#sonic the hedgehog#sth#sega#plants#gardening#garden#AND YES VEGETABLES COUNT!#TREES COUNT#NON-FLOWERING PLANTS AND SHRUBS COUNT#ALL PLANTS!#INCLUDING EXTINCT PLANTS!
