Thought I’d do some redesigns again because my style has changed a lot since last time!

thinking of like a sonic underground au

But with like shadow and the rest of the crew being recurring characters

Shadow reluctantly working with robotnik because he was promised the safety of someone he knew (thinking about maybe having it be like cream in the sense shadow wants to protect her and the sibling relationship they have because she reminds him of someone he lost) but then after wedding bell blues when queen aleena returns he deflects

or because he used to work in the palace before the prophecy and is just acting like he wants to be on robotnik’s side but knows the triplets will return to the throne

tails is like the band manager (also helps with setting up stages)

rouge and knuckles are where the crew get their concert gear (knuckles gives them amps and all that stuff /rouge is their stylist)

Blaze was a royal guard and guides the triplets when they need her (she’s in hiding as well but comes out often to help)

Team chaotix being like a rival band or something (vector on vocals, espio on base/vocals and charmy gets the keyboard)

amy is like a groupie, one of the bands biggest fans

not entirely sure about the rest yet

It’s this time… TO YAP ABOUT MY FIRST AU, 623!

It takes place during sonic underground.

Before sonic got put with his family in the show. He showed up at a scientists house named Ash. Ash wanted nothing to do with him so she got rid of him. Then everything played out as the show continues. That was until her boss Liam found out and wanted to put a stop to sonic. He then sent ash to catch him. During this, the 3 siblings just stopped robotnick’s plans once again but this time Sonic was careless and sloppy, Sonia was worried for him and it started an argument, in the end, Sonic stormed off, hours later he realizes what he’s done and goes back to apologize but he doesn’t know where he’s at. As he tries to find his way back, Ash finds him again and knocks him out with the mask (the one that has a smiley face plastered on it). As she returns back to the lab, they erase all of Sonic’s memories and discards his charm and locked it all in a file. As years passed, everyone was worried for Sonic’s safety. And one day, Sonia ran into Sonic and freaked out. As she returned home she told everyone, at first everyone didn’t believe her. Until Manic saw it himself. Saw Liam erasing his mind in an alleyway.

Ever since then, they’ve been trying to restore his memory, and free all the rest of the children from the lab.

HOPEFULLY THIS AU MAKES SENSE TO YOU GUYS 🙏

Okay! So after the Council of the Four defeat Robotnik and take back the land, Sonic disappears. Sonia and Manic try to find him, while their mother tries to rebuild her kingdom. (Sonic is just chasing down Eggman, but they never seem to catch up.)

Who wants a Sonic Underground Swapped AU

I’ve been a huge fan of Undertale for a pretty long time. And one of my favorite things about it was the concept of “different timelines/universes” that so many fans started to make. I know AUs have been around for a long time, longer than Undertale, but it was because of Undertale that I started thinking of AU ideas. 

Case in point: A Sonic Underground AU where all the characters' roles and personalities are swapped. 

A…Sonic Underswap, if you will. (I am going to hell)

The idea smacked me last night when I thought “...hmm. Wouldn’t it be funny to imagine a Manic who grew up in Sonia’s shoes?” It then formed into wondering “Who would switch with who?” So… I will jot down what I think a Sonic Underground Swap would be like.

And, while I would pull the whole “the triplets are evil” idea…but where’s the fun in that?! (...aside from a lot of fun to begin with). This is playing with the idea that MOST of the characters are still the same when it comes to their placement in the story. 

There is one HUGE exception:

Obviously, Aleena and Robotnik would HAVE to swap places. This would mean Aleena becomes the “tyrant ruining Mobius” while Robotnik is hiding away, hoping to one day take Aleena down. 

So the story would go like this:

Fearful over the thought that her newborn children could overthrow her, Aleena abandons them shortly after birth in hopes of ruling. Even if she is a really bad leader. Brushing off the struggles of her people as she feels they aren’t worth her time. Only those who pay the outrageous tax have her attention, and they never really have any struggles, to begin with.

Robotnik, being an outsider notices just how horrible she is running Mobius and plots to take her down. With the help of Athair’s future visions and elderly wisdom, he realizes that her children are alive and are destined to fix what their mother has caused.

However, Aleena didn’t deal with her children as well as she had expected, and they were raised by three different families.

As mentioned, Manic would be raised in the higher class, with Sir Farrell as his father. Raised to use and abuse the lower class and how much they need to rely on the upper class to stay safe, and he isn’t afraid to admit that. But, hey, at least he has a close friendship with [_____], though even that is stripped away when he was exiled due to Aleena realizing her children were a risk. Now he feels like an outcast when he joins up with Sonia and Sonic, both lower class and slightly spiteful over Manic’s upbringing. 

But he does know how the upper class works, and what makes them tick.

Sonia, meanwhile, takes Sonic’s role. 

After all, if she didn’t fill this tier, Sonic wouldn’t have changed. And, honestly, I feel the idea that Manic being raised high class and Sonia fighting with the Rebels (the Resistance) gives better story ideas over Sonic being raised high class and Sonia being poor.

Anywho, Sonia was raised by Windemere, a high-status member of the Anti-Royal Movement, better known as the Rebels. She was adopted by Windermere after her “original” family was killed during a raid. Since then she has been fighting for what she felt was right. She is heartbroken during a raid when she finds out that Windermere was caught and, later, was found out to have been hiding one of Aleena’s children. 

She is well known by the Rebels. 

Sonic was found by Chuck, who’s been struggling hard since Aleena’s rules made it harder and harder for the lower class to survive. Everything has gotten so expensive (mood), and he wasn’t going to rescue the infant, but he couldn’t abandon a life in need. Sonic grew up knowing that life is harsh and mean. Don’t trust anyone but yourself, ESPECIALLY the higher class. That makes him and Manic not get along really…at all. 

Sonic is still the fastest, and his speed helps with snatching up food and money. But mostly food. 

Aleena is warned by Athiar about her eventual demise, causing her to stress out and hire Dingo and Sleet, famous mercenaries who can easily find and…silence almost any targets. For the right price, of course.  (...I think you are seeing where this is going)

Though he relies more on his brawn than his brain, Dingo is still the leader of the duo, always more focused on his work, and less focused on anything else. However, he has to always remind himself to keep a close eye on his absent-minded partner, Sleet, and he is starting to wonder if the wolf would even notice if he left him mesmerized by something. It doesn’t help that Aleena’s influence is beginning to rub off on him. Why worry about a mobian that causes him more trouble than he’s worth?

Sleet’s mind’s in the right place. He’s smart, and when he’s able to focus on the job, he can be a real threat. Too bad he’s easily distracted and is amazed by everything and anything and will often leave Dingo to do most of the heavy lifting. It doesn’t help that Sleet thinks that Manic is super cool and admires being JUST like him one day. He never realizes that his constant admiring is getting on Dingo’s nerves, though. It’s always work work work with that canine. Can’t he stop and enjoy the moment once in a while?

All his life, Cyrus was raised to believe that everything Queen Aleena said was law and that those below him were just obstacles in his way. But when his long-time friend, Manic, was found to be the Queen’s son and she wanted him gone before he and his siblings could overthrow her, Cyrus finds himself in a pickle. Maybe, if Manic accepts that Aleena is the true Queen and promises to not try and defy her, he’d get his friend back. Why even worry about the others when he had everything he needed if he just behaved? 

Knowing Sonia from the Rebels Group made Bartleby a target for manipulation for Aleena, trying to trick the mink into luring the Rebels out and punishing them for all their wrongdoings, all to protect what remains of his family’s history. But once he realizes that the lives of innocent mobians would be at stake, he quickly breaks away from her control and vows to help the Rebels in any way he can. His love for the arts helps him create things, though they seem to be more dangerous than helpful. It’s the thought that counts, right?

The other prevalent member of the Rebels is Knuckles. Cunning and decently strong to boot, he makes good support for the group. He also knows a bit about nature, so that’s a plus. Early on, he was captured by Aleena, who attempted to learn a thing or two about the growing Rebels, but the triplets quickly saved him when Sonia realized he was in danger, as the two knew each other from childhood. 

Under the watchful eyes of “Delphius” (The Oracle isn’t “the Oracle”, but is replacing Athiar), Trevor is destined to watch over the Chaos Emerald resting within the Floating Islands. Good with the few mechanical items he can find littering the Island, he became quite a handyman, making small weapons and other things to keep the Emerald, and the Island, safe.

If it isn’t obvious, Cyrus and Bartleby swap while Knuckles and Trevor swap. 

It was…hard trying to figure out who would take Knuckles’ place, as he is kind of…REALLY strongly tied to the Emeralds. But, Trevor has as much character as Knuckles does in the show, so it fits. 

I also find it funny that the two characters that have some sort of relationship with Sonia…STILL have relations with Sonia, just differently. (Seeing as Bartleby and Knuckles take Cyrus and Trevor’s place, who were friends of Sonic originally).

The Oracle (or just “Delphius”) and Athiar also switch places. The Oracle was a strong contender for the one switching with Robotnik, but…Athiar makes more sense in the long term. Both are old. Most likely DEAD already. One is cryptic while the other is a bit of a fearful hermit. 

So, yeah. There we go. There are other characters in Underground, and they’d all switch around as well, but I’m gonna leave this here for now with the more important characters.

Si Sonic de Underground conociera a su propio Tails y formara un vinculo de hermandad con el, como lo tomarian Sonia y Manic? Competirían por la atención de Sonic? Considerarían a Tails "digno" de ser un hermano mas? Como lo manejaría el propio Sonic?

Ok, esto será basado en el hecho de que los erizos no pasan de 15 años, a lo mucho han estado juntos 1 año y recordemos que los tres habían vivido vidas muy diferentes antes. Tienen demasiadas cosas dentro así que cualquier cambio inesperado los sacude profundamente y comenten idioteces.

¿Estoy exagerando y puedo ser un poco cruel? Tal vez, pero recordemos que ellos viven en un mundo que está bajo el mando de un loco malvado que te convierte en robot si haces algo que para él esté mal.

Y sip, para mí el "Unbreakable Bond" es eterno, independientemente del universo.

No sé si esto responde un poco tu pregunta o te deje peor, pero muchas gracias por ser el primero y con uno de mis temas preferidos ✨💫⭐

Imagino que sería una situación parecida al Cannon: Tails siendo molestado/abusado y Sonic ayudándolo.

Tal vez aquí no le ofrece al comienzo que viaje con ellos de manera permanente, pero le ofrece el llevarlo a un refugio/santuario para que viva un poco mejor. Tails se siente cómodo con Sonic así que acepta para estar un poco más de tiempo con él.

El próximo santuario cercano está bastante lejos y tomará tiempo llegar, así que los erizos concuerdan que es su deber llevar al menor hasta allá.

Así que Tails comienza a viajar con ellos y desde ahí siento que empezarían los roces con los otros dos erizos.

Sonia: Si bien la vemos mejorar su actitud hacia otros en el transcurso de la serie en general, aún tiene que trabajar sobre el tratar a menores con diferencias físicas notables. No hay que pensar mucho para saber que en tipo de ambiente que ella creció esas "mutaciones" no eran bien vistas y si bien viajar la ha cambiado, no recuerdo que hallan encontrado a alguien como Tails antes, así que siento que al inicio sin querer no se acercara mucho ya que tenía la idea de que solo sería temporal. El zorrito prácticamente sabe cuándo no le agrada a alguien así que se mantiene lo más alejado de ella para no incomodarla, Sonic nota todo esto así que intenta hablar con su hermana pero terminan en una discusión que no llega a nada.

Hay tension entre Tails y ella, así que Sonic decidie quedarse más cerca del menor para que no piense demasiado en ello.

Manic: Al único estaba emocionado por uno más al grupo, pero esta emoción muere rápidamente al ver qué el mejor en mucho mejor que el en habilidades mecánicas. Normalmente esto lo emocionaría más, pero no puede porque Sonic está prestando atención a cada palabra que sale de zorrito cuando si el fuera el que hablara de algo así ya lo habrían ignorado. No solo eso, el menor logro mejorar la camioneta que usan de mejor manera con pocas cosas y si bien el zorrito intento incluirlo en todo el proceso, el no lo acepto por su lío de emociones. Creyo poderlo superar pero empeora cuando los erizos se dan cuenta que el zorro puede seguirle el paso a Sonic en una carrera.

Esto prácticamente sella el hecho de que Sonic adora por completo al zorro, tanto Sonia como Manic saben que su hermano desea alguna compañía en sus carreras que no lo frene, el niño está más que preparado para esto y si bien no alcanza las velocidad máxima del erizo azul, lo puede seguir bien en una carrera tranquila, Sonic está casi brincando de la emoción y no deja de hablar como con un poco de entrenamiento el niño podrá igualarlo.

El zorrito está brillando mientras escucha al erizo azul sobre como ayudarlo a mejorar.

Intentan no pensar en ello, el menor los dejara cuando lleguen al santuario y volverán a ser solo ellos tres.

Manic y Sonia intentan pasar más tiempo con Sonic para prepararlo cuando se tenga que despedir del zorro, pero rápidamente se dan cuenta que para el erizo azul esto está dejando de ser una opción.

Más de una vez en el camino se detuvieron para ayudar algunas situaciones, esto solo logro demostrar que el menor aprendia rápido sobre como pelear y ayudar en sus misiones. La mente del menor es algo asombroso, por más que dos de los tres erizos no quieran admitir, su capacidad de analizar la situación y elaborar planes además de objetos que los apoyen tan rápido los ayuda a salir de situaciones que en otro momento hubieran sido arriesgadas.

Con cada momento que pasa, solo parece unir más a Sonic y Tails.

Lo peor de todo es que Sonic no se separa de sus hermanos, claro, parece ser que su prioridad ahora es el zorro pero no ignora a los otros dos ni cuando se pelean. Sigue ahí, pero los otros dos no soportan que alguien más se esté llevando la atención del erizo azul.

Pronto llegarán a Santuario y todo volverá a ser como antes, así que intentan hablar con él, pero todo sale mal.

Sonia y Manic dicen cosas que no deberían (Algo sobre como el zorro no debe estar con ellos, como es una distracción, sobre como se supone que solo deben ser solo ellos tres para salvar a todos) pero debieron saber que Sonic no tomaría nada bien sus palabras. Terminan a gritos, con ellos insistiendo que el zorro solo los separa pero con Sonic devolviendo todo sobre como sus celos no deben afectar a Tails.

Desde que conoce al pequeño zorro, Sonic siente que el niño es especial, con cada segundo juntos, prácticamente se confirma por si sola está declaración. Estaba encantó con la idea de que todos se llevarán bien y tener a alguien más en su familia pero le duele ver qué sus hermanos no pueden aceptar del todo al menor con ellos, el no sabe porque siendo que Tails es asombroso y sabe que si ellos se abrieran o por lo menos lo intentaranz todo iría de maravilla.

Esa pelea lo enfurece más de lo quiere admitir ¿Y que si se volvió más cercano de lo esperado a Tails? El zorrito lo entiende como nadie más, se acomplementan de una manera que nunca espero sucediera.

Tendrá que tomar una decisión y apesar de que piensa que será algo difícil de elegir, con solo pensar en el zorrito, algo dentro de él le dice que ya sabe la respuesta.
