Micah and The Healer

Micah, the patron tom of Healers and forbidden relationships, and the Visitor of the Dark Forest. He seldom stays in Starclan for long, his wandering days still in his blood. He wandered into the Miretrees some time after One Eye had made it, and was attacked by Dark Forest Cats. He fled, and found himself in a cozy hollow, with a dead tree stump providing a shelter. There he met The Healer, a cat not OF the Clans, but of their beliefs. They had made a practice to send off their most injured and dying patients with an overdose of poppy seeds, and had been punished for this. The two became friends, but it was quickly apparent that The Healer was Fading away. They asked Micah for one last glimpse of the living world, and Micah carried them to where the hollow had been. There was a Twoleg den there, with a weeping Queen. Her kits were dying, and she begged anyone to save them. The Healer broke from Micah's grasp, and with their last action, Faded over the kits. Micah wept alongside the Queen...until tiny mews filled the air. Micah watched the previously cold, still kits wriggle and nurse, and marveled that his friend had kept saving lives, even at their last moments...

Nico knew exactly what Percy went through in HoH, how Tartarus pushes you to be your absolute worst just to survive, and just how badly it would affect him. After all, Percy is one stubborn kid that would absolutely beat himself up over what he did to that goddess, having no compassion towards himself. And you cannot possibly convince me that if things had gone just a little bit differently, Nico wouldn't have had the opportunity and compassion of stopping the nonesense, and Percy would have actually listened, for once.

It was supposed to be done for day 2 of @percico-nicercy-events : Powerful Percy and Nico.

Forgot to say: The Shadow is actually a Jungian concept, and I though that out of everyone in PJO, Nico would easily be the one most in touch with that side of himself!

he'd mostly think it's endearing, part of Dell's silly charm. sort of like when you see a puppy

sometimes Dell uses it to get Spy' attention, or to make sure he's still with him and Spy sometimes uses it to make sure Dell doesn't impulse buy a set of power drills or a tablesaw

though, no matter how much spy thinks the tail is cute, he knows it was designed out a desperation.

things rarely go without complications when dealing with amputation and prostetics - things like phantom pain or conectivity issues and basically an every day issue Dell will be forever insecure about the fact he can't just engineer it all away, he definitely regrets cutting half his arm off.

so he designed the tail as a way to counter his weakness. but what if Dell doesn't just stop at the tail? what if he tries to mess with his anatomy further? what if he ends up doing something that irreversably destroys his body? sure he's an engineer, but not a medical proffesional.

what if the pain becomes unbearable for Dell though? what if further modifications are necessary for him to live in peace? will Dell know when to stop? Will Spy know when to draw the line? when to put his foot down?

what if Dell loses himself to the idea that he can elliminate all that is wrong with him with mods like this? what if this is just the beginning?

Shockingly underrated thing about Leo is that he’s legitimately charming when he wants to be?

He’s the Faceman! He’s persuasive! That’s not just some random title he gave himself with no backing to it. People will listen to him. Even if they think he’s being annoying or if they’re upset at him, people listen to him anyway! There’s a reason his bros push him out front to talk to people, and when this happens, that talking nearly always works.

Moreover, Leo knows people. He looks at them and takes into account how they act and what they’re like as he makes his way through the conversations. It’s easy to forget this aspect of Leo’s character because he only brings it out when he really needs (read: wants) to, but it really is a notable part of him that always love to see.

And I say charm in particular because he has a knack for not only getting people to pay attention, but for getting people to stay and listen to what he has to say.
