I went back and edited/ redrew/ recoloured some of my lakesprit ref renders... and Vale.

Sol and Solana have some new necklaces! Thought it’d be nice to give Sol a new ruby necklace- the swirling one. While Solana got an update to her Ruby Fragment necklace- just wanted it to look nicer.

Solea and Vale needed an update for sure. I changed their expressions to hopefully make them look MORE expressive. Vale looked DEAD AF in his old ref xD

Also found a new way to draw the tails, and I love it~

"Dearest Sol! You finally show your face to me! After I discover your little pet project! You even donned yourself in an attire suiting that of your project as well!"

The Mesprit rolled their eyes. "Uche has left the world in our hands while he tends to the likes of Time and Space itself."

The Azelf dropped his lackadaisical attitude, assuming a more serious composure. "Are they-"

"Prefectly fine. We aren't needed to chain them to this realm. The both are stable. Stable enough that they have left to visit other space pockets for their own amusement," Sol replied dryly.

"Haha... you can't be serious."

"Unfortunately I am. They're young. Uche allowed it, baring the responsibilities of both while they spread their wings. Azrael will handle other negative effects that should arise as well. They are not without a babysitter but we must fill this space a balance. That is what my project is for."

Sorry I haven’t drawn much this month. Its been a weird one, especially with the huge drop in motivation for like the first two weeks.

I also feel like I’m dry on ideas though... Only recently thought of a few neat ones (not these sketches just so you know).

The two big summer project pics... I still haven’t started. I guess the though of more projects makes it sound not fun, and it’s been putting me off.

For now, here’s a few Lake Sprit sketches~ Including my bud @flarezen‘s Uxiesona~

Name: Solea

Pokemon: Uxie

Gender: Female Type: Psychic Ability: Levitate

Bio: Solea is a shiny Uxie with cracked gems. The gems are the source of her power, and due to them being damaged, they have faded in colour, and she now has poor eyesight. She cannot wipe ones memories, so she keeps her eyes open at all times. She has a much more feminine figure than most lake spirits, with a small chest and slim physique. Other Pokemon probably find her very attractive. Solea does her eyelashes every day to add to her beauty. She has some rather offensive moves, like Fire Punch and Foul Play, normally only learned through tutors. Her fire punch is said to burn as hot as a Ho-oh's sacred fire. That's what they say, at least. She's a rather naughty Uxie, and can be very rude and demanding. She'll find a way to get what she wants, even if it means getting rough. She'll push others aside (Literally), for her own greedy intentions. Solea can put on a cutsie act to gain others trust, or even seduce them to some extent. Just be cautious around her, she is more than likely to backstab someone (Not literally, haha). Even with her naughty nature, she doesn't treat everyone like this. She's actually gets along with Solana and Elanor. She prefers smaller Pokemon, and tends to turn aggressive to anyone bigger than her. She has an undying obsession with treasure, her gold bracelets being the first few pieces she took. If you want to impress her, she'll need more than just gold nuggets! She wants coins, crowns, those kind of things! Solea might get along with other lake spirits, but the other spirits should beware! She will try to steal their gems to replace her own, and would literally rip them right off their bodies if she could. She hasn't succeeded so far... but she keeps going for Sol's gems. Her garment is made of a silky material, held together with a Sun Medallion. The garment is enchanted to protect its wearer from any Sandstorm, no matter how vicious.

Story: Solea comes from a far away land, scorched by sun and forged by the deserts. Her memory is somewhat fuzzy, one day waking up in a submerged ruin underneath another desert. She'd wake with her gems cracked and her eyesight diminished. She was with a friend before hand, but now she was all alone... She left the ruins, and searched for her friend, but had no luck, eventually leaving the desert and finding out she was in the Unova region. Solea spent a few years traveling across the region, searching for her friend, struggling to cope with her weakened abilities. Solea soon developed her love for treasure after rummaging through many relics and abandoned castles, stealing her six bracelets from a crumbled castle. When another Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf appeared in Unova, Solea befriended them, hoping they could help her. As Solea's mind started to spiral down in to depression, she became desperate, and tried to take the gems from her friends. She failed, and the trio fought back. Even though they were put in danger, they didn't abandon Solea. However, Solea would eventually leave the three, feeling guilty for what she tried to do. Now she lives in Azure Town, at least temporarily, with Sol and the others. Her connection to Elanor let her learn about their travels and where she came from. It wouldn't be long until she tried to take another lake spirits gems though... Maybe someday, someone would be willing to give her just one of their gems. Solin and Solana question if she is their actual sibling instead of Sol, but nothings clearer with the two here.
