@darklightheart reminded me how the only reason Frontiers forces a connection to Chaos and the ancients is cuz Ian randomly convinced Sonic Team that "the series had too many aliens, just make em the same"
Because it's based on the incorrect assumption due to a 2011 Eng guidebook done by someone not part of localization for Gens that Chaos is mutated cuz of the Master Emerald
Several things
-The SA1 Japan Softbank Guidebook notes that the Master Emerald and Emeralds simply were used to clean the environment. It's the only reason Chaos and other Chao survived in the area before the rampage. This is further confirmed in the revamped Sonic site in Japan (machine translation used)
This means that IF the Master Emerald causes radiation, Chaos would definitely NOT be the only one in that case. All Chao would be affected, the water would be affected
Chaos' mutation is completely unrelated
So I'm annoyed Frontiers tries to imply in Eggman bios as "The Ancient's DNA mutated and degraded"
When there literally isn't enough time for that, as noted by another bio saying they all went away in barely 2 generations.
-The lack of their tech* elsewhere due to not leaving the 4 close islands further makes the theory of them being Chao ancestors more unlikely, same for the sheer difference in sentience
Nor would radiation decayed DNA be able to reproduce, much less revert to prevolved forms
*While Angel Island is mentioned as a place they escaped to, it is completely incompatible for time. Angel Island didn't exist until 3000 years ago, the ancients are much older
Nor did Chao remain on the landmass that became Angel Island, contrary to what that short showed. In fact, that short has other oddities incompatible with the immediate game/franchise...
It gets weirder when you realize that IF the ancients made/brought the emeralds outaide the Master Emerald, why would they be affected by them?
It's a mess that genuinely would've been better as a true new alien species unrelated, not "try to reinforce misconception that ignores actual Sonic Team subtext". Worse is even if Eggman admits later he's wrong, he'll look like a dumbass

The White Bank Eagles are likely based on the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. In addition to referencing Hikaru's roots, the Hawks also have the second most wins out of all sporting teams in Japan, behind the Yomiuri Giants (based in Bunkyo, Tokyo); so the use of their theme song here is likely a reference to Hikaru's status as Akane's rival.
And yes, of course they have a theme song

All teams qualified for 2023 LoL World Championship
The 2023 World Championship field is slowly taking shape as leagues from North America and EMEA to Korea, China, and all across the world finish off their most recent seasons. This marks the pointy end of the League of Legends competitive cycle. This year, Worlds will descend on South Korea for the first time since 2018, when Invictus Gaming became the first-ever Chinese world champions. League’s premier event looks very different this year, with Riot Games rubberstamping several format changes ranging from the introduction of best of threes to a Swiss-style stage and more bracket-based play. Worlds 2023 is been penned in for an Oct. 10 start date, which is a little later than the standard September click-off. The play-ins and group stages will be held in Seoul before the tournament shifts to Busan for finals. Seoul’s 17,000-capacity Gocheok Sky Dome will be hosting the grand finals. When the premier event finally begins in late October we will have 22 League teams locked in and ready to battle for history at the 13th edition of one of the most illustrious tournaments in all esports. That will include four representatives each from heavyweight regions like China and Korea, between three and four from NA and EMEA, and a host of Cinderella hopefuls. Smart Glass Market Size, Share & Trends Analysis Report Forecast to 2020-2027
The global Smart Glass Market is projected to reach USD 13.19 billion by 2027, according to a recent report by Emergen Research. Renewed confidence of consumers within the economy coupled with greater spending boosted the sales of light-and heavy-duty vehicles. The demand for automotive glass is driven by several factors. The replacement volume of glasses is likely to grow with rise in the total vehicle population and kilometers driven. Adverse road conditions with difficult weather is likely to stimulate the demand for automotive glass replacement. However, buyers tend to defer from fixing minor injury to a windscreen till a vehicle is held up for sale or scrutiny. Therefore, sales of recent vehicles, turnover of used vehicles, and laws for vehicle scrutiny influence the demand for smart glasses in the automotive sector on a global scale.

Key Highlights From The Report.
In November 2018, View Dynamic Glass, a US-based smart glass company, received one of the biggest VC investments of USD 1.1 billion from SoftBank Vision Fund. This is to manufacture “dynamic” glass windows that can change the tint to let in the right amount of natural light without obstructing views.
The electrochromic smart glass technology dominated the market in 2019. The electrochromic technology has been utilized in rearview mirrors across the automotive sector. With the recent advancements, it is additionally found suitable for windows as well as sunroofs. Although the electrochromic smart window technology isn't used in abundance within the design or building applications, it's expected to revolutionize the design sector in the upcoming years, accounting for a prominent share of the market by 2025. Commercial building especially corporate and government bodies are expected to be early adopters of the electrochromic technology.
The transportation application is anticipated to have the largest share of the smart glass market throughout forecasted period, as several automobile makers are incorporating smart glass materials in their vehicle to get benefited from its remote access capability, dynamic light emission adjustment properties and antiglare property.

https://financialpost.com/fp-finance/banking/commercial-real-estate-contagion-spreads-to-europe
“There are serious concerns in the U.S. CRE market,” said Rabobank credit strategist Paul van der Westhuizen. “It’s a not an issue for larger U.S. and European banks but the smaller property-focused German banks are feeling a bit of pain. Right now it’s more a profitability issue than a solvency issue for them though. They have sufficient capital and are less exposed to the threat of deposit runs than pure retail banks are.” (...) On Tuesday, Morgan Stanley held a call with clients recommending they sell Deutsche PBB’s senior bonds. (...) Bafin, the country’s banking regulator, said it’s monitoring the CRE turmoil, declining to comment on Deutsche PBB specifically. Germany’s central bank warned last year about the risks surrounding commercial real estate, saying there could be “significant adjustments” that lead to higher defaults and credit losses. (...) “You have to be mindful as you don’t know exactly where the bottom is,” said Raphael Thuin, head of capital markets strategies at Tikehau Capital. “We are aware that there could be more pain to come in commercial real estate.”
SoftBank has announced it will take full ownership of WeWork Japan, shouldering the company’s business-related debts. The development comes just four months after the troubled coworking business — once valued at $47 billion — filed for bankruptcy in the U.S. (...) “There are no plans to close any locations due to this reorganization,” a spokesperson for SoftBank said Friday. “SoftBank will continue to fully support the provision of WeWork Japan’s services and its management team.” (...) “Some of my investors say ‘Masa, you get too excited and too much concentration into one company, don’t go too far,’” he said during an interview with CNBC.
The letter noted that WeWork had shut out Neumann from deals before. When Neumann tried to “arrange up to $1bn of financing to stabilize WeWork in October 2022”, the company’s then CEO, Sandeep Mathrani, “shut down that process without explanation” while “participants were literally in the air traveling”. (...) One of the company’s major creditors is SoftBank, the Japanese investment company that had pumped cash into Neumann’s vision of WeWork before its collapse. Since he left WeWork, Neumann has returned to leadership, creating a new company focused on the residential real estate market. Flow Global received a huge $350m check from the venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz in 2022 to scale up Neumann’s idea of branded apartments. Think WeWork, but for renters. “It’s often under-appreciated that only one person has fundamentally redesigned the office experience and led a paradigm-changing global company in the process,” Marc Andreessen, of the venture capital firm, wrote in a blogpost in 2022. “For Adam, the successes and lessons are plenty.” (...) In a statement, WeWork told the Guardian(...) “We continue to believe that the work we are currently doing – undressing our unsustainable rent expenses and restructuring our business – will ensure WeWork is best positioned as an independent, valuable, financially strong and sustainable company long into the future,” the statement read.

SoftBank Team Japan beat Sweden's Artemis Racing in their second head-to-head encounter on Tuesday to go 3-1 up in their best-of-nine America's Cup semi-final.
Rough seas and high winds in Bermuda's Great Sound made for challenging conditions, with Artemis Racing losing ground soon after the start and straying outside the course boundary, incurring a penalty which put them further behind Japan.

Woah! I didn’t post anything yesterday, cause I was so sleepy~
So, yesterday I watched a baseball game on tv (streaming). It was SMBC JAPAN SERIES 2nd Game between Yomiuri Giants vs Softbank Hawks. The first game was held on Saturday, a day before yesterday.
Hawks won with score 2 (Giants) - 13 (Hawks). Not a good result for Giants, even though they still have 5 games left. I love both of the teams, because they’re my favorite teams in NPB. I decided to cheer for Giants this year, but the result seems quite hard for them. But, don’t give up! Come on, Giants!
Beside a baseball game, I also watched GENE HIGH SCHOOL TV Special Live. It was a special because they celebrated GENE’s 8th Debut Anniversary. The guest star was EXILE TAKAHIRO, and they played some games with every GENE members’ personal wishes.
At the end of the show, there was a Special performance from GENE. They performed their newest single Loading... songs including You & I, Star Traveling, and Lonely. For the closing song, the sang Evergreen.
