childhood friends/first meeting (as children)
Luigi's harem... surprise
Before disappearing, do writers also do hand exercises like digital artists?
Good bye
I don't do exercises other than cracking my knuckles every so often. Anyways!
Daisy: if these two met as children, Daisy would be the first to initiate conversation and try to get Luigi to come out of his shell and play. Luigi would be extremely shy but with a bit of encouragement he'd come out and be friends with Daisy. These two would be great friends and spend a lot of time together, drawing, playing sports, etc. A strong friendship that will come to last for years.
Peasley: if these two met at a young age, I feel like Luigi would end up being more confident in himself thanked to Peasley's encouragement and support, especially if Mario followed suit to it. It wouldn't be a drastic change but a noticeable change. Luigi would also be a good support system to Peasley when his royal duties start to become a bit too much or when he starts doubting himself, especially in their teenage years when they can feel the most emotional.
Dreambert: if they met young then it would be before Antasma came into the picture. These two would find solitude in each others calm demeanors and friendly attitudes. If Dreambert offered to show Luigi the dream world or enter Luigi's dreams for a surreal adventure, they might have ended up tapping into Luigi's dream powers a lot sooner and they would have helped train him to use them better. Eldream would be able to help with this too since Snoozemore wouldn't have been in the picture either and Eldream is a trusted friend of the royal Pi'illo family with a lot of old knowledge about dreams.
Bowser: I mean, canonically these two did meet when they were young, Luigi being a newborn but the meeting wasn't all that great. It even got worse when baby Mario and Yoshi showed up. Plus, baby Bowser is spoiled rotten by Kamek and was shaped into the beast the Mushroom Kingdom now fears so I don't think there would have been a chance of a friendship with them.
King Boo: King Boo was probably around way before the bros were born so he'd still be an adult when Luigi is a child, but he'd still have his normal red gem instead of the purple one on his crown so he wouldn't be all that insane. Even if we make a version where King Boo is still a normal, common boo, his main goal when meeting Luigi would be to scare him to tears, especially when Luigi is an easy target to be frightened. However, when the bros become the heroes of the MK and King Boo kidnaps Mario, he might remember them, faintly since then he'd only see them as nameless victims to scare. He might remember Luigi a bit more from being a favourite so he'd be surprised at how he can push forward despite how scared he still is. Pretty sure the boos would have given him early trauma from that so it'd be a lot harder on Luigi.
Antasma: for Antasma, I'll stick to Luigi being Dreambert's friend and they both found Antasma as a bat and took him in. He'd get attached to both children due to their care and kindness towards him. You didn't hear this from me but he is closer with Luigi since he sneaks him extra sweets and has the best dreams to munch on. When he turned evil and took the Dark Stone he tried to get Luigi to join him but he obviously refused and it made Antasma have a festering hatred of betrayal much like with Dreambert. Luigi was forced by Dreambert to escape before Antasma was imprisoned since Dreambert didn't want him to be targeted and so he wasn't aware of the petrification of the Pi'illos, only that Antasma didn't intent to go down alone.
Dimentio: We can't even confirm his past, how can we confirm he was ever a child? Technically, my new AU fits with this scenario but might as well come up with another. Unless Dimentio was aware Luigi would be the Man in Green of the Prophecy, I doubt he would even care. If he did know, however, he may be the reason Luigi is still alive after everything he's been through before the events of SPM happened. He would monitor Luigi whenever the Count didn't have need of him for a mission or task and he would keep an eye on how he faired as a child, which he could then use to manipulate him with in the future.

So, like, when I was a little small kid in 2013 or 2014, I created five Pi’illos who represented each of the parts of the Ultibed. I forgot what they originally looked like, but all I know is that they looked awful. You might have seen them on my old account.

Their names are Strati, Dozelia (or Dozie for short), Poppy, Sandy and Davy. I only could remember Dozie's name, so @boom-fanfic-a-latta helped me rename the rest of them.
The Guardians of the Ultibed chose to protect the Zee Parts because the parts represent five beautiful things that come from your happy dreams: strength, wonder, peace, calm/tranquility, and joy. Long, long ago, when nightmares threatened the dreams of the Pi'illo people, five among them rose to protect them. They decided to wish on the Dream Stone for special powers associated with the traits they displayed that would use for the good of their people. If they were able to stop something bad from happening, then they were going to do it. It wasn't just the people- they also devoted themselves to protecting their homeland. To reward these heroes, five bed parts were built from the five attributes, and when put together by a Bedsmith, they could be used to make contact with the Zeekeeper. If these parts fell into the wrong hands, bad things would happen, so they took it upon themselves to guard the part that matched with their personality. In doing so, they were keeping the Bedsmiths safe.
Many, many years later, when Antasma rose up, five Pi'illos named Strati, Princess Dozelia, Poppy, Sandy and Davy did as well. They decided to follow in these ancient heroes' footsteps and take on their great responsibilities. They wanted to defend their homeland, so they wished on the Dream Stone for powers that suited them best, and they spent a great amount of time learning to use them. Each of them guarded a bed part that matched up with their character, making sure Antasma wouldn't try to steal them. The five new guardians helped out greatly in the fight against him, but even they couldn't escape the black rain of nightmare chunks. When Mario and Luigi freed them a long time later, they agreed to help them out in the fight against Antasma and Bowser, eager to see each other and their loved ones again. Even after the Ultibed was built, the new guardians still continued to do their jobs of keeping their home safe.
Their powers only work for a limited time; after using them for a certain amount of time, they will need to “recharge” them by taking a break from them for a while.
Strati is a muscular Pi’illo who dwells near the peak of Mount Pajamaja. Most of the time, he's a metaphorical dormant volcano who's determined, cool and composed. He takes his job very seriously, so he always keeps his guard up. It is very easy to annoy him and make him erupt, but he is still passionate and motivational. He acts as the leader of the group, the bed frame that holds them all up. He values belief in yourself, perseverance, the strength needed to carry on in life, and never giving up no matter what. These powerful feelings of strength that your good dreams give you are what he and the Pajamaja Rock Frame represent.
Strati is very physically strong, and he has enhanced stamina. He can easily break a boulder in two; he could be able to bench-press a Mega Pi'illo. He is also able to stir up minor earthquakes, and he can control the flow of lava. However, Strati can only do these things if he is along a fault line or if he is in a place with lava around him. Even with enhanced stamina, he will get tired out if he uses his abilities for too long. Since strength is at Strati's core, his powers run on his emotional strength; if Strati is discouraged and lacking in motivation, then his enhanced physical strength will slip away, and he will not be able to use his powers at all.
Princess Dozelia, aka Dozie, resides in Pi’illo Castle with her older brother, Prince Dreambert. She is the youngest of the guardians, and she has always had bright eyes filled to the brim with wonder. She is very sweet and innocent, as well as imaginative, brave, and a little bit emotional. She loves to make art projects, and she can get super caught up in making her creations look nice. She bursts with so much creativity, she used to paint on the castle walls when she was a little girl. She is also very ladylike. She believes that the world is a wonderful place with so many marvelous creations, so she is kind to everyone she meets. Dozie tries to be brave for the sake of her people since she loves them all very much. Dozie is pretty fidgety, unable to stay completely still. She hums to herself a lot, and she is sensitive to loud noises. She looks up to her older brother and believes that he will be a better ruler than her.
The world can tap into Dozelia’s imagination, allowing whatever she thinks of to manifest into reality. This can happen with living creatures and objects. For example, when Dozie thought of needing a weapon once, a sword appeared in her hand. Despite this, she can't really use it well. Dozie's creations can enter and exit the dream world. They can be good and friendly things or bad nightmarish things depending on how Dozie is feeling. If Dozie is not feeling wondrous or creative, so if her sense of wonder is gone, then she will not be able to create anything.
Poppy lives with her prized flower garden in Mushrise Park. She is peace-loving, cheery, and for the most part, nonconfrontational. Poppy does not support violence in the slightest and is normally patient and friendly with everybody. She is like a flower fully in bloom, ready to be used as a peace offering. If that flower is poked around or picked, however, Poppy will get as prickly as a cactus and attack whoever irritated her with little hesitation. In general, Poppy has sworn to protect the people and her friends in the name of peace, and she does her best to ensure peaceful nights for everyone. She is like the team's headboard; she gives them support, keeps Pi'illos from falling off the bed of order and harmony, and keeps their walls from falling apart. She absolutely loves gardening.
Poppy can grow plants and flowers, but only in places where they are able to grow. She can make plants' stems grow as tall as she wants to and make their roots as long as she wants to. She can also make any type of flower blossom instantly, from daisies to apple blossoms to fire flowers. When it comes to the plants in her garden, she prefers to grow them the normal way. Poppy cannot use her powers if she is not feeling at peace or if there are high levels of negativity and distrust between her and her allies. If she's not at peace with you, she might not be able to wrap you up with plant stems, but she can hit you pretty hard. She'll then frantically apologize and ask for your forgiveness.
Sandy is a mostly no-nonsense guardian who lives in Dozing Sands. He is seen in a perpetual state of calm, relaxation and tranquility, and normally, he goes with the flow of things. He tries his best to act as the mattress to the team; he provides them comfort and support. He is the most reasonable and smartest member of the group as far as they know, but there are times when even Sandy doesn't know what he's doing. Sandy strives to keep one’s dreams calm and comfortable for people. If they are stressed or upset, he will try to help them feel calm again. Sandy likes to spend his time chilling out in the Dream World, and he also enjoys collecting crystals and rocks.
If Sandy is in a place with turbulent winds, he is able to stop the winds from blowing so hard to make the air still again. He cannot control the weather, but he is able to slow down a sandstorm, and he can stop the heavy winds of a thunderstorm. He can also crystallize himself into Dozing Ore in a similar way to Kole from Teen Titans. In this form, he is almost impenetrable. He turns himself into Dozing Ore as an emergency guard for himself, or so the other guardians like Strati can use him as a club-like weapon. To turn back, Sandy must have an "anchor" in mind; if it weren't for his strong sense of justice and his love for the world, Sandy would lose himself and be a crystal forever. Sandy will not be able to do all of this if he is disturbed or angered by something since he must remain calm.
Davy is a happy fellow who you can find over at Driftwood Shore. He likes to keep everything in order, and he is a social and optimistic person. He is also a playful guy; he likes to organize treasure hunts for himself and others to enjoy. Davy also really loves to make people laugh and smile, so he's always up for having a little fun. He likes feel-good stories with plenty of humor and whimsy. The reason Davy stays in a cheery state is because he aims to bring joy to people's dreams. He wants people to wake up with something to smile about. Similar to the functions of sheets, Davy tries to protect everybody's happiness and ensure a smooth, soft life for them. He is a huge animal lover and an excellent swimmer.
Davy can float on water seemingly effortlessly. This ability allows him to ride waves, surfing without a board. If Davy is anywhere near water, he can bring the nearby water to him. Davy is also able to communicate with animals that live in the sea or on the beach, so he can call them if he needs help. He is also able to breathe underwater, so he spends much of his time in the sea. Because Davy's sea powers run on his feelings of happiness and joy, they will not work if he is feeling sad or unsatisfied. Here are some extra things to know about them: - The guardians are all very good friends with Bedsmith. When they have some time to kill, they get together with him to have a good time. They even consider him to be a part of the team. - Strati's name is based on strata, which are layers of rock in the ground. - Poppy's name is because poppies are used to help people fall asleep. - Sandy's name is because of the molten metal that gets cast in sand. I thought it would match because the Dozing Mattress is basically made out of a rock. - Davy's name is a reference to Davy Jones's locker, a metaphorical term referring to the seabed. - Strati actually claims that he can bench press Mega Pi'illos. He has done it to a pair by the names of Mega Blake and Mega Kent. - Dozie would be a huge fan of Disney movies and Studio Ghibli movies. - Dozie has hair as black as ebony because her personality is similar to Snow White's. - Poppy has poofy blonde hair because her personality is similar to Perfuma's. - Strati has dark brown hair. His headband holds it back. - Sandy has grayish hair. He cuts it very short because of how he lives in the hot desert. - Sandy was born into a family of Deco Pi'illos. - Davy has dirty blonde hair that's as wavy as the waves in the sea. Sometimes, he'll take off his case when going swimming to let his hair float around him. - Pi’illos usually have four cone-like points on their heads, but Davy is a rare case as he only has two. - Dozie and Poppy are in a relationship; they fell in love in Poppy's garden. Both of them are lesbians. - Dozie is autistic. - To learn to use her weapon better, Dozie has spent some time in the battle ring. - Poppy, Sandy and Strati have little dwellings built within the places you find their parts. Davy lives in a dwelling under the sea, and Dozie has her own room in the castle (which she has painted the walls of).

I've had a kind of AU, in which Antasma returns and captures Luigi for his power that is equal to the Dream Stone he does not plan to eliminate him, now he is a threat to the Pi'illo Kingdom and the dream world. Mario and Dreambert try to stop him while Luigi tries to escape.
Antasma now feeds on Luigi's dream energy which makes him more powerful (and it's delicious), he gets a new castle, an army that is common enemies controlled by him and the Zeekeeper locked up...
Although Antasma wants to devour all that power, Luigi is persistent and fights, every time the bat warns with a "Time to Eat" and enjoys a fight and then feeds.
Nothing can stop him.
BUT...what if that would cause side effects?
Starting with his appearance, a slow transformation that affects all three of his forms, he is still a bat but less intimidating, like a Woobat with extra fluffy fur. This makes him a little worried, but he doesn't care as he have the power, continue with his plans and cause terror.
(The green plumber will become more attentive if more changes happen)
Then his appetite, having Luigi in his clutches, does not need to consume nightmares, but he decides to try one again by changing his meals a little, he vomits the nightmare, if before his concern was low, now it is high and his hunger has changed; but he can't be distracted he has more important matters, however, when feeding this time he feels different, he almost feels...full.
(Luigi notices this, decides to be more participatory, what happens if the bat reaches his limit?... he also notices his slight change in behavior)
Later his powers, after a battle against Mario and Dreambert, both are weakened, especially the prince, Antasma is pleased to finish off Dreambert, something goes wrong, his attack instead of finishing him at once heals him of all his wounds, Dreambert is confused, this hits the bat and he tries to do it again, the prince dodges that attack that could have hurt him, he continues with the battle and it has only gotten worse, now his enemies are like new, furious he lets out a high-pitched scream that the Stun them both and take advantage of this to escape. He is scared, he feels how some are breaking free from the mind control and the Zeekeeper is breaking his restraints; When thinking about the situation he comes to a conclusion: Stop eating from that power. He hates the idea, but sacrifices have to be made, he doesn't plan on getting rid of Luigi.
(Luigi takes this opportunity to escape and the bat's new power seems not to be what he expected, despite feeling a little weak, Antasma has actually held it well, he has noticed that, he has an idea to defeat it)
And finally himself, how the hell did they get into his castle? Luigi has escaped, great.
He has been distracted, a part of him wanted to satisfy his hunger to feel full and another did not want to know the result that would await him; No more distractions, a battle awaits him that will decide destiny.
Everything seems to be going in order, some of his attacks were more beneficial for the plumbers but he can see that they will not hold out for long, that at least puts him at an advantage, until help appears, the Zeekeeper interferes in the fight, this distraction It's enough to put Luigi's plan into motion.
A smell, a delicious one, attracts the attention of the bat, receiving an attack from the bird, on the ground he tries to get up but someone prevents him, the green plumber is too close, Antasma is terrified, but he has to maintain control.
Luigi expected the bat king to take the first bite by making his energy dream much stronger present to him, so he resorts to drastic action but not before saying: "Time to Eat."
He joins his lips with those of the bat, this action causes shock on the faces of the team, except Zeekeeper he has a thumbs up.
Antasma resists, but that rational side disappears when he can finally calm that hunger, finally have a full stomach.
What seemed like an eternity, the king is satisfied, he falls defeated to the ground and with an extra weight that makes him look like a fat cat, he feels the other weight of someone else, it must be the weakened plumber; he feels tired...warm...comfortable...
Antasma slowly closes his eyes.
And when he wakes up he will be someone new.
Luigi is a cinnamon roll.
And you are what you eat.
I have more to say about what happened next, but I don't know whether to keep his name or change it.
This went very well with my morning coffee, first of all.
Get this on Ao3! Please! The people will love it! Y'all go follow this user, what I just read was fantastic.
The Zeekeeper giving a thumbs up while everyone is flabbergasted, oml, yes!! I couldn't get past that part for a good minute!
