MORE RAMBLING ABOUT SHIPPY DYNAMICS (With Baggs, Red, and Sonia)
Baggs loves his pets very much, but like any pet owner would know, there are times where pets do things that frustrate the fuck out of you.
For people with traditional pets, it's simple things like your cat scratching on things they're not supposed to, or getting in front of whatever you have in front of you to get your attention.
Like your dog, eating things out of the trash or drinking from the toilet, or tearing up yet another pillow.
For Baggs, it's being 52 hrs into not just a single project, but many. Being so close to finishing at least seven of them, and making enormous progress on twenty.
Only for his beloved Red to come on in, and ask him if he's eaten, drank anything, stepped away from the computer at all, if he's actually seen the sun in the past week.
And upon a lack of answer given his sleep-deprived state, attempting to pick him up and carry him away from his work.
Red is stubborn, and more often than not, he caves to Red's doting.
But when Red resists, he has to order Red to step back and let him finish.
And Red has learned ways around this.
Red alone, he can deal with.
Red calling in Sonia for backup? That's a problem.
Even when Baggs has made measures to keep Red from snitching on him, Red has worked around every single one.
And the inevitable follows, with his darling pet Sonia coming in, with a furrowed brow and a pout.
Controlling Red when he's being stubborn is easy.
Controlling Sonia on the other hand? Is incredibly difficult.
He'd only ever see the sheen of Determination that is natural to every human SOUL on hers, whenever it comes to the wellbeing of another.
She is absolutely persistant on doing what she can to help, which is wonderful when it works in his favor.
But when she believes that his work can be left for later (and even saves it for him, how considerate.) and that he is going to take a break and give his mind rest?
Sonia would make a mule change it's path, if it was headed for a cliff.
Her stubbornness and determination to help not only pushes his magic aside, but retaliates with the help of that thing within her own mind.
Some manner of entity named Shoggoth, which was a spiritual beast known as an Umbra.
He still needed to study that thing thoroughly. It was able to bind him to obedience, while allowing his mind to remain his own. A fascinating and frightening concept.
But Baggs had comfort in knowing such power is in the hands of a woman who cries over even squished bugs. She's no threat to him.
However her interference into his work is extremely annoying, like a feline companion flopping onto your laptop to interrupt.
Still, he goes along with it, and groans out his protests as she chides at him in tones that almost sound motherly. Feeling her scoop him up and hold her close to her (extremely warm, soft, and cuddly) body.
As she carries him off with Red in tow, while Red cackles out in good-spirited ribbing at Baggs. Baggs feeling just how relieved Red was that Sonia got him to stop his work.
And Baggs, upon getting some time away from it, can't help but to feel thankful that she pulled him away from it to be in her and Red's company.

you know, i had a totk thought (uh oh)
soemthign thats really bothering me about the whole "actually, ganondorf didnt like the guy appearing out of nowhere marrying a hylian and just saying yep das our kingdom now and we can mine it barren under your nose and also i got laserbeam pebbles that i totally wont ever use on anyone come join me or die just bc of all of that but mainly bc the guy brought some weird tech with him that he dont like" - thing is that ......... we see almost not a single tech thing in the past
(and for that matter see nothing of the oh so perfect and peaceful paradise hyrule was before big evil desert man didnt want to join our paradise- like what is the point about making the whole point of the game be -we need to restore hyrule to this paradise it once was- when you dont even see it or get to care about anything of it)
it might sound like a weird hangup but no really, the most we see is like two servant constructs, thats it, when they 'prepare for war' im pretty sure all you see is some lightly dressed ( ... is it just me or does their whole get up look alot like native american/other indingenous people too ... i still dont know how to feel about that- kinda adjacent to some of the sonau armor, the battery one i think??, also having that look...) hylians with spears, where the heck is all that tech?? is it implied to be all down in the mines hollowing out the underground (for no real reason either bc .... theres only two sonau left and no one else seems to want use nor need the tech otherwise there should have been more traces or soemthing left of it -unless it all just magically appeared out of nowhere in mostly prime condition while all shiekah tech jsut vaporized for bs non reasons just for it to be in tha game but oh dont you see its always been there lmao- so whats the point really????)
or up in the sky as most battle constructs are and they cant get them down in time bc *gestures vaguely*
or is it intentionally kept out of view bc idk seeing an army of robots on raurus side he can send out on a whim might not make him look as oh so good and perfect as they want him to look when he already got laserbeam pebbles (most of which hes been hoarding until ONE falls into hands not under his control) ??
like it just ... feels weird?? so many battle constructs that can even be a threat to link are jsut fully functioning strolling around in the present still, why wouldnt you want to use any of them to battle gan and if they DID why wouldnt you show that (no the 3 second unicorn cutscene doesnt count bc its just .. gan and his monsters isnt it) ??
(also ... why isnt there a big like battle ground , like fine you dont have to animate an army of monsters and robots clashing but... wouldnt it be cool to have you discover a giant flat plain in the underground (that magically got put under ground like gan just decided to stroll down there to get sealed lol) and its the only mostly empty field in the game littered with thousands of monster bones and dead constructs intermingled?? just to give it all a bit of weight?? evidence that it happened?? cool ass discovery????)
(also also i cannot let go of ganondorf apparently being sooooo anti tech but then clamgan uses the shiekah stuff??? shouldnt he also be against that then or is that suddendly fine bc- oh woops sorry, forgot clamgan is actually just something, not connected to gan at all actually, i mean why else would miasma turn into malice only to turn into miasma again haha none of that is connected actually what is a calamity anyway?
also im sorry to bring this up again but i just cannot let go of the ppl in the present being so obsessed with using sonau tech in every part of their life now- they just lived through an apocalypse of a barely understood strange tech but CLEARLY this other even less understood strang tech is not dangerous at all lets make CARS OUT OF IT and what theres no danger in miasma and that tech existing at the same time LIKE SOMETHING ELSE BEFORE THAT IDK SEEMS LIKE A BAD COMBO--- oh sorry forgot that ceased to exist in both the world and peoples minds for *gestures vaguely* plot reasons- why why why are monsters mining the sonanium?? they dont even work with the yiga no that is also completely disconnected we dont wanna draw and interesting connections after all- whats the point if it means nothing but to be a loot box for the player-- actually, so much of totk is just a so built around throwing you into a box of toys with no substance to it- listen i know games are kinda like toys but if it doesnt make sense and offers you nothing interesting to think about even slightly whAT IS THE POINT)

Dark Sonia's Monologue
"Hello again. We've met before.
You look different, I'm the same.
You've begun to know my face,
You already know my name.
I am the one who calls you,
Who says "come here, come home"
The voice that whispers from within
So you never feel alone.
I wait in all your doorways,
I watch you while you sleep.
I live right here inside you
Gnawing, growing, squirming deep.
I've taken the people you loved the most
One by one by one.
And I have come to take you next
Will you fight, evade me, run?
I am the weight that crushed your sister,
The guilt that carves you like a knife.
I am the fear that no one loves you,
The Creep that drank your family's life.
I am the dark that lives within you
As now at last you see -
I am the wound you've always carried,
You belong to me."

So beyond the whole "Ganondorf is now Canonically a Femme Fatale" conversation, I feel like this part of the interview wasn't discussed a ton? Because apparently the original vision was that Zelda doubted whether to restore Hyrule at all (an interesting conflict! put it in the game next time!), and then got punched into the past and then seemingly was convinced of the necessity of her role and Hyrule as an entity (I'm extrapolating but it feels like it's what's being suggested, the direction they wanted for her arc, and it's basically what we get in the game).
And uhhh.
that certainly does not help the whole. imperialist. thing.

I didn't expect Amon to be so short. Baby man.
*Amon will remember that.*
Sonia's default state of being comes off pretty flirty, but it's soon made very obvious if she actually likes somebody. Amon is somewhat happy for his friend, but... Damn. Being rejected for Vincent of all people definitely stings. What does he have that Amon doesn't? a god complex? Stupid feathers? a bad voice?
Celebrities, man. Ugh.
Vincent has no idea what she's smiling so much for.

im listening to some zelda music compilations again and i gotta say 2 things
damn does the hyrule warriors, aoc included, line have some bangers or what
and damn, if you ignore the absolut blast i was having fighting koga, does totks music on its own make me feel things the game never did, like i dont wanna sound like i keep hating on it but man the music is SO GOOD in ways the game didnt deliver on and when i hear it i just kinda drift off into what id imagine the game being like with music like this and then be sad about the real one
like the trailer music alone is just GOD what it made me think theyd dare do with the story after turning what was largely considered THE zelda gameplay so on its head, now surely totks gonna be daring in terms of story, its the most logical progressio-
oh :(

I saw @werewolfsister ‘s comic & it has probably the cutest little Tauro I’ve ever seen lol. So I did a quick little scribble of it.

I’m gonna try & not get pissed off at the fact that this little 10 minute scribble I made at 3 in the fucking morning bodies all the Tauro art that I have done so far. Fuck my drag I guess.

Can you draw Sonia trying to comfort Kazuichi while he is crying? It would be wholesome
She may not like Soda, but she’ll give him a chance.
…Okay but all wholesomeness aside, canonically she would probably react like this:
