4 npcs each for drakenfolk and warren handlers!
a lot of the characters wear more layered/traditionally fantasy type outfits, while others are more modern/urban. I definitely need to make a more modern looking drakenfolk npc
for classes/handlers we have (in order top left to bottom right):
Soundmage Aizea - one of my old ocs repurposed as an Elemaster of Metal Mountaineer F - generic female drakenfolk npc, found in caves/cities Scenester M - generic male warren npc, found in/around the city Sandsurfer M - generic male warren npc, found in the desert Plainskeeper M - generic male drakenfolk npc, found around the farms/plains Florist F - generic female drakenfolk npc, found around garden fields or in the city Motorist Zo'ei - Elemaster of Psi Snowdweller N - generic nonbinary warren npc, found in the tundras/northern cities

some of my personal favorite games that I don't hear about too much:
- factorio (automation simulator):
you crash land on a planet and have to build up complex infrastructure to build a rocket out while the hostile beasts of the planet fight back against your industrial efforts. probably the best part about the game is how easy it lets you tear apart your entire setup to rebuild ground up for better resource generation in later game setups.
- cobalt core (deck building roguelike):
you run a spacecraft with a small crew using cards to command the actions of your ship, balancing resources such as energy, movement opportunities, health, and shield. this game just generally has a lot of charm, with your crew making silly remarks throughout the battles which actually lines up to the stage of the game.
- wildfrost (deck building roguelike):
brutally difficult, every battle is a boss. loads of different card archetypes which are balanced into 3 clans being the snowdwellers, clunkmasters, and shademancers. probably the best deck builder I've played.
- enter the gungeon (bullet hell action roguelike):
you play as any of the 4 wanderers trying to face the gungeon to "kill their past". through your run you gather a wide variety of guns with various effects and synergies. loads of secret floors and enough boss variety to not get super predictable.
- hyper light drifter (action adventure rpg):
I'm gonna be honest, I played this one years ago so I don't fully remember the story, but I do remember that it's cryptic as hell. outside of the story, the game has a really fun combat system where you balance ranged and mel33 attacks along with various movement abilities to shred through enemies
- inscryption (deck building roguelike):
really cool story that I hardly can't really describe due to how long it's b33n since I played. dark and dingy theming with various systems themed around sacrifice and mutilation of your cards. the game also includes a true roguelike version outside of the story mode which opens up room for absolutely wild card combos which f33l super satisfying to play out
- omori (story driven turn based rpg):
one of the most bone chilling experiences I've had in a game, of the games here I played years ago, the story in this one sticks with me the most. without any spoilers, you play as sunny, who is a teenage boy who doesn't really get outside much, he spends most of his time asl33p where he goes on fun adventures with his friends. outside of the story, the combat system is fun and the game has some pretty tough bosses to go along with it. the main gimmick of the combat is the emotion system which is reminiscent of Pokemon typings except they get applied through attacks in battle.
- outer wilds (story driven exploration)
this game is a story first and foremost. without spoilers, you play as a member of a nonhuman species and you're about to join the outer wilds space exploration crew of your people. story aside, you explore space using your trusty ship and jet propelled suit. I'd recommend a controller for this one, I tried to use mouse and keyboard but it just doesn't f33l as good. my girlfriend vouches for mouse and keyboard though so your choice.

Wildfrost Review (Steam)
Tumblr media
For our Wildfrost Review, Where the sun has frozen over, and the world has succumbed to the Wildfrost. The town of Snowdwell and its survivors stand as the last bastion against an eternal winter... Build up a deck of powerful card companions and elemental items, as you battle to reach the Sun Temple and banish the frost once and for all!
Wildfrost Review Pros:
- Decent cartoon-like graphics. - 523.88MB download size. - Steam achievements. - Controller support. - Graphics settings - display mode, max fps, and v-sync. - Blood can be set to normal or rainbow colors and a blood amount slider. - Card battler gameplay. - Three leaders to choose from each round and it randomized from avatar, to name and any abilities. - Each card has a countdown icon that once it hits zero, the card/s will attack. - You can rename your leader. - Redraw bell - use it to redraw cards at any time, it ends your turn immediately unless you charge it up by getting it's counter to zero. - Enemies come into the battle via waves and you can see how many plays it is until they appear. - Fast snappy interface. - Your leader must be on the board for you to play the cards below. - Companions can be recruited and placed on the board, put in front of the leader and the enemy usually attacks them first. - Inspect cards give a more in-depth view of a card both friendly and enemy cards. - Recall cards so they can heal, more a thing for companions as leaders cannot be recalled. - Boss encounters. - Leaders and companions will auto-attack once their counter reaches zero. - Combo counter bonus. - The map has multiple routes and different scenarios from treasure, and battles to claiming journal pages. - If a companion gets killed, they actually get injured and if they survive the next battle (lower stats/health) then they get fully healed. - Snowdell is the town you are tasked with helping. Unlock new buildings by completing challenges. - Daily voyage - a harder game type that randomizes a game every day with random cards and modifiers. You only get one shot a day. - Handy quick new run button after defeat. - The journal keeps the names of all leaders you have used and any pages collected that give back stories. - Charms can be equipped with a card to adjust their stats. - At any point, you can rearrange leaders and companions on the board. - Devilishly addictive. - Wooly Snail is the shop where you can buy cards, charms, and upgrade cards. - As you unlock parts of the town, you fall into playing more as it just keeps going and going. - The journal keeps tabs on all encountered enemies, charms collected, and companions. Wildfrost Review Cons: - For the first hour or so it feels very samey as you grind to increase the card types you encounter. - A lot to take in. - Slight learning curve. - Difficulty spikes. - Bare minimum graphic settings. - Cannot rebind controls. - The tutorial does miss out on a few key points. - Daily quests are daunting more because of the bombardment of new card types and mechanics. - A lot to keep track of. im answering this too because it's an interesting question!!
i think it would depend on my mood
sad - it's raining somewhere else by toby fox
happy - haggstrom by c418
cozy - snowdwell by paul zimmermann
angry - dummy! by toby fox
dehydrated - waltz of seccom masada (context: i never have any idea how i feel when im dehydrated, which i think waltz of seccom masada fits very well)
if i had to pick just one i'd maybe go for sans. by toby fox (look man not my fault toby fox is so good at music lol)
Fun question :3
If you had to puck ur theme song when you enter a room or something, what would it be?
oh jeez this is a hard question…
maybe It Is What It Is by Jenna Raine? or A Whole World by Derivakat? or Hold On by Justin Bieber? (not a bieber fan but agh i feel those lyrics so hard) like those ones i feel just kindasorta represent who i am…
and then maybe Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood, or Electric Love by Børns, or Blinding Lights by The Weeknd, or anything by Andy Black or Hozier, just because I like those ones :3

Starloom, Shademancer and slayer of Maw jaw: my Wildfrost oc! Child of Blueloom and Mon’o who were both lost on their journeys through the Wildfrost
(Commission info here | MapleStickerShop)
Story blurb and art fight link:
Starloom was born to parents Blueloom and Mon’o in Snowdwell during the era of the Wildfrost. Like her parents, she is a Shademancer, a tribe that specializes in summoning shades to fight the creatures on the way to the eye of the storm. Her father Blueloom’s journey was just barely cut short when he was killed by the Frost Guardian while her mother Mon’o made it all the way to the heart of the storm but was utterly unprepared to face the surprise enemies there. Starloom started their own journey determined to become the Sunbringer and free the land from the eternal cold, also wanting to avenge her fallen parents and all those who fell to the Wildfrost’s horrors. She put together the best party she could as she journeyed, full of shades, allies and weapons but struggled when they reached the treacherous ice caves. They had to face the Toothy Shades, one of the groups of enemies with the highest kill counts in the Wildfrost, a true test of skills and teamwork. Starloom nearly fell to the boss Maw jaw here, forgetting about their special ability. The Maw jaw swiped its vicious claws across Starloom’s mask, breaking into pieces and leaving a nasty wound on her face. With the help of a summoned Tigris, Starloom was able to stand back and heal before dealing the final blow on the beast. They took its mask to replace their now broken one, saddened to have lost the mask they painted to match Blueloom’s but filled with new hope of making it to the end of her journey and bringing the warmth of the sun back to Snowdwell.
