Summer changes
Hi there!
It's summer (wow!) which means i'm not studying. But this doesn't mean i'll develop my game more often because i want to rest like a normal person.
Before the release of 1st interim i spent every day developing to release it as soon as possible. Now i'll rest more but try to maintain a frequency of one post per week.
I also thought i'll learn javascript to create a web-site for my game and multiplayer based on it. But now i realize more likely i'll just rest: walk outside and play games (maybe even read books!).
Have a nice summer and good luck!
#... and also i'll procrastinate...#...a lot...#changes#small changes#rest too#otherwise you can burn out#how are you?#i'm good#now i'll watch youtube#then i'll start passing irredeamable#then i'll wash face and clean teeths#then i'll just sleep#while writing this post i realized the chinese keyboard i installed to test chinese entry field interferes too much#and yes i'm translating some phrases into english using google translator#i think i know english quite well#but not enought to speak it fluently#i'm sorry...

If you're hungry all the time and feel like you constantly want to eat consider switching your Vegetable oils out for Lard and Tallow.
This isn't like a fad diet advice or anything. It's just studies are showing that the linoleic acid in vegetable/canola/soy oils can be converted into endocannabinoids in our bodies. Which is what makes weed give you the munchies. Too much Linoleic acid can also cause inflammation. The standard American diet contains 14 to 25 times more omega-6 fatty acids than omega-3 fatty acids, with most of the omega-6 coming from LA.
#cooking#adulting#small changes#This isn't to say NEVER eat vegetable oil and only eat animal fats#But take a look at your foods and their labels#There is vegetable oil in some salsas even

they have a park ranger give daily talks at 10am and I decided to stick around and listen today.
he talked about how the river had caught on fire 13 times in the past, and that today it's clean and safe. he emphasized it was through small changes that we can make lasting, impactful changes to our environment. small changes.
I'm glad our river is clean and healthy now. we even have otters here.
I found the point of the talk poignant to my personal situation and I had to walk away because I started getting wet-faced and didn't want to cry around a bunch of strangers.
but I will keep in mind "small changes".

I like the title "Small Changes" and would like some sentences from it.
He took the extra time to make sure all his gear was settled in, his bait safely contained and unlikely to spill. He was just thinking he'd maybe poke at doing the preflight tests he'd been shown when Rodney rushed up. He looked a little relieved and a little stressed.

From Scratch Series
Making broth
Broth is one of the easiest things to swap out when you're wanting to start from scratch. And it is also something you can make for practically free.
For Vegetable broth:
I make broth with my vegetable waste so it can take a couple weeks to prep. But it can also be made with the whole vegetable if you have it on you. If you're making it with scraps get a large plastic bag and save your vegetables as you cook.
6-8 cups of vegetables or vegetable scraps. I recommend carrots, onion and celery when you're first starting. Garlic(or garlic skins if you're using scraps), mushroom, tomato, bell pepper can also be thrown in. As you get more comfortable try new things.
8 cups water
Salt
Pepper
Optional: A splash of Apple Cider Vinegar(I use the cap, but it's about ½tsp)
If you're using whole vegetables instead of scraps give them a rough chop. You don't want them to be small, but not whole anymore. Include the skin from the onion and the tops and leaves on celery and carrots. If you're using garlic crush it with the flat of your knife. Then cover the vegetables with the water, apple cider vinegar, and a SMALL amount of salt and pepper. Bring it to a boil and once it comes to a boil reduce the heat to low and cover. Let it simmer covered for an hour. Remove from heat and once cool strain. You can at this point pour freezer bags for later use. You can also freeze it in muffin tins and then put into the bag so it's in individual serving sizes.
Bone Broth:
We'll focus mostly on chicken broth here, but any type of combo of bones can work. Chicken bones in my opinion are the easiest to get use what you have. You can also ask the butchers department at your local grocery if they have bones.
1 whole chicken carcass, most of the meat removed
½ - 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
8 cups water
For this I like to use a crockpot but it can also be made in a pot on the stove same as the vegetable broth. It just takes much longer. Add the bones to the pot with he apple cider vinegar and water. I typically don't add salt and pepper to bone broth. If cooking on the stove bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Cover and allow to simmer for 10-12 hours. It should reduce by about half. If cooking in a crock pot turn to low and let cook 12-24 hours. I tend to go closer to 24 hours for mine. Let cool and strain. DON'T throw away the bones. Either freeze them for later or return them to the pot, I always do my bones twice and label as 1st batch and second batch, unless I do them close enough that I can mix the batches. I use 1st batch broth for soups and stews and 2nd batch broths for rice, casseroles, or gravy.

@son-of-crows-and-rats what you said is too important to be left just in the tags
i see a post talking doom and gloom about how we'll never escape toxic masculinity. i think about back in 2017 when american girl released their first boy doll, and a review for him went viral in the collecting community. the review was written by a mom, who said they went into the store to get their daughter a doll, only to see their son's eyes light up like fire when he saw a doll that looked like him, and now every night he puts his doll in pajamas and rocks him to sleep. i think about the toddler in my daycare room a few years back who was obsessed with baby dolls, carrying them everywhere, and his mom proudly told us he uses his sisters' old baby dolls and wants to be just like them. that toddler saw another toddler crying one day and gave her the doll he had to cheer her up. i think about the eight-year-old boy i saw a few years back, excitedly waving around raya's sword in a target checkout line like all his dreams were coming true. there was a video on my instagram the other day of a little boy at disneyworld crying with joy upon meeting his hero, mulan. i think about the voice actor for bow in the she-ra reboot saying his nephews only wanted adora action figures. celebrity men are wearing dresses on tv now. last halloween i saw a little boy dressed as elsa. i went to go see spiderverse over the summer, and in the line ahead of me was a boy who couldn't be older than twelve or thirteen, bouncing and beaming, giddy with excitement over getting to see the female-led romance movie elemental. i think about the five-year-old boy at my library who breathlessly asked me where the pinkalicious books were, eyes widening when i had more on my cart, his mom explaining that he is all about pinkalicious and fancy nancy. i saw so many pictures online of boys and men dressed in pink to see barbie. teenage boys are gonna open their phones and see the man who wrote fucking game of thrones dressed in pink to see barbie. when i was a kid, a boy dressing in pink was practically a social death sentence. there are boys running around in pink on my street right now.
#small victories matter#small changes#are still important#we are slowly progressing towards a better future with more options choices and opotunities#opportunities#important post#toxic masculinity

My Journey to Minimalism and Sustainability, and How You Can Start Yours
I began my journey towards minimalism and sustainability when I was 13, thanks to my favorite famous twins, Bill and Tom Kaulitz from the German band Tokio Hotel. They had just gone vegetarian, and their lifestyle shift made me rethink my own habits. I’ve always had pets—cats, dogs, hamsters, and even a horse I visited and fed every day (Okay, it wasn't mine, but I wished it was!)—but up until then, I hadn't really considered the wellbeing of wildlife or the broader environment.
Cutting out meat was my first step towards a more eco-friendly lifestyle. Over the years, I’ve made plenty of small swaps and sacrifices to lessen my impact on the planet. But don’t worry—sustainability doesn’t have to be overwhelming! In a world where some eco-warriors are aiming to fit a year’s worth of waste into a single jar, it’s easy to feel like you have to go to extremes. The truth is, you don’t have to make drastic changes to start your sustainability journey.
Below are some simple swaps I’ve made that have helped me live a little greener...
Bamboo Charcoal Menstrual Pads
Switching from disposable pads to reusable bamboo charcoal pads was one of the easiest changes I made. They’re washable, so still hygienic, plus they cut down on waste and microplastics. After the recent news about there being arsenic in tampons, I’m so glad I made this switch years ago!
Reusable Water Bottles and Coffee Cups
Instead of buying plastic water bottles or using disposable coffee cups, I now carry my own reusable versions. Not only does this help reduce plastic waste, but it’s also so convenient to always have a water bottle on hand.
Reusable Cotton Makeup Pads
I used to go through countless cotton pads while removing makeup. Now I use reusable ones that I can just toss in the wash. It’s a small change, but it makes a difference in how much waste I create each day.
Eating Less Meat
If you care about animals and want to reduce your carbon footprint, eat less meat. You don’t have to cut it out completely to make a difference. If you want to go the extra mile for our oceans, you can cut down your fish intake too.
Reusable Shopping Bags
We’ve all heard this one, but it’s such a simple habit to get into! Keeping reusable shopping bags in my car or bag ensures I never have to rely on plastic ones when I’m out.
Recycling
This might sound basic, but committing to recycling properly is one of the simplest ways to contribute to a healthier planet. I make sure to recycle everything I can, from paper and plastics to glass and metals.
Those are a few swaps I’ve made over the past twelve years, but there’s always room to improve, so here are a few things I plan to try next:
Buying Less Clothing
I’m a legit shopping addict and tend to spend more than I make 😅 but I know fast fashion has a huge impact on the environment, so I’m working on being more mindful about what I buy and sticking to timeless, sustainable pieces.
Not Upgrading Tech Every Couple Of Years
It’s tempting to get the latest phone or gadget, but holding onto tech for longer reduces electronic waste.
Avoiding Palm Oil
Palm oil is in so many everyday products, and its production is harmful to the environment. I’m aiming to be more conscious about the products I buy and look for palm oil-free alternatives.
Composting
This is a big one I’ve been meaning to start! Composting food scraps instead of throwing them away can significantly reduce the amount of waste I send to landfills.
Sustainability is a journey, and it’s all about progress, not perfection. You don’t need to change everything at once. Start small, make swaps where you can, and keep growing from there. Every little bit helps!
What are some eco-friendly changes you’ve made? I’d love to hear your tips and ideas in the comments!
