Testing out some color ideas for a future project – I’ve been wanting to try and do one of those very limited, punchy color schemes, like you sometimes see in old children’s book illustrations. I’m not sure I have the aesthetic restraint for it! I keep wanting to layer for more naturalistic colors :p it’s fun to play around with, though, and I’m sure I’ll hit a balance I like eventually.

Decided to retouch a bit of this old paleoart piece, featuring a pair of Andalgalornis taking advantage of a bushfire to hunt and scavenge for easy pickings, for no particular reason 👀

Anyways hope you like this small bit of content, it's not much but I think this is one of the best pieces I've made :>

In Journey to Chandara, by James Gurney, inhabitants of Dinotopia's Forbidden Mountains are visited by the Boon Sloth, who bestows on them a gift. One of my favorite twists on Christmas, and another bit of purely fantastic paleoart by the true master. Happy Yuletide, all!

All the Sloths (Intersex Flag) - Pride Sloths

I honestly meant to do the intersex flag a lot earlier in the series - they're a super under-represented group, and I've been trying to make sure I'm representing those who go unrepresented. (Also, the flag is like, super easy to draw.) [Image description: Four cartoon sloths standing bipedally in a line, each with an Intersex Pride flag in some way or another. The first one wears the flag as a cape; the second one is holding the flag on a stick; the third one is waving it in the air; the fourth one is holding the flag up in front of itself.
