Exercise for Better Sleep
Exercise is excellent for our body and mind and it can also help us get a good night’s sleep.
There is evidence that exercise does help you fall asleep more quickly and improves sleep quality, based on existing studies, but there’s some debate as to what time of day you should exercise.
How exercise helps us sleep
The research doesn't fully explain how physical activity improves sleep and some studies conclude that we may never be able to establish the mechanism that explains how the two are related.
However, we do know that moderate aerobic exercise increases the amount of slow wave sleep you get. Slow wave sleep refers to deep sleep, where the brain and body have a chance to rejuvenate. Exercise can also help to stabilise your mood and decompress the mind.
Why the timing of exercise matters?
Some people may find that exercising close to bedtime seems to keep them up at night.
Aerobic exercise causes the body to release endorphins. These chemicals can create a level of activity in the brain that keeps some people awake. If you experience this, you should exercise at least 1 to 2 hours before going to bed, giving endorphin levels time to reduce and the brain time to 'wind down'.
Exercise raises your core body temperature. The effect of exercise in some people is like taking a hot shower that wakes you up in the morning and this elevation in core body temperature signals the body clock that it’s time to be awake. But after about 30 to 90 minutes, the core body temperature starts to fall and this fall helps to facilitate sleepiness.
Despite these biological responses to exercise, other people find that the time of day they exercise doesn’t make a difference and whether it’s in the early morning or close to bedtime, they’ll see a benefit to their sleep.
How Much Exercise Do You Need for Better Sleep?
The good news is people who participate in at least 30 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise may see a difference in sleep quality that same night.
So, while we should all be encouraged to exercise, just be mindful of timing and whether it seems to affect your ability to get optimal sleep quality. You know your body the best.

Ziv is a very, very, very bad sleeper. Either she uses her herbs to keep herself awake for days or she will just use another herb to knock herself out for two days straight. In the seldom times in which she sleeps, Ziv will curl up arouns Aiaias Transperisteel-container so the carnivourus Reeksa-Plant can watch over her like a watchdog while she is knocked out. On the occaisons she shares a bed with someoen else, Aiaia is put on the nightstand to be a watchdog and Ziv curls around whoever is sleeping beside her which very often maks her the big Spoon. In the same manner, Ziv is still a carnivore living in a setting that is made for Omnivore, so the permanent noises around her, the scent, the interactions and daily life do st her ermanent on edge, which makes her slepingpattern even worse. However, beside the Tynnans very horrible sleepingpatterns she suffers from Parasomnia as the Murakami-Sproutling she carries in a locket around her neck uses the times when Zivs natural Mind-shield is down to reach into her dreams and communicate with her the way a infant force-sensetive, sentient plant would: By sending their feelings, caught thoughts,own thoughts, images, visions and precognitions into the Tynnans dreams. Accordingly Ziv often wakes up more exhausted then when she had went to sleep.
Sometimes however Ziv wakes up with a certaine thought, a idea, a warning, a sudden understanding of something,the knowledge about what had happned on a complete different location while she was asleep, or the image of someone who is important or whom she is suppose to seek out, or a heavy gutfeeling that guides her, or she expierences confusing deja-vues which she can use to navigate safer through the galaxy under the empires reign.
However in most cases those dreams just leave her completly exhausted and Ziv has no idea why she is expierencing them. Accordingly: Ziv does not sleep well at all. Not in the slightest. Just knock her out, please.

I have this weird sleeping pattern where I sleep early before 12 then I wake up at 12, sleep at 3 then wake up again at 6, and then go back to sleep then wake at 9.
Also, I have this creepy dream where my deceased relatives haunt me for like two days (I rarely have a consecutive dreams in a row). What does it mean? Am I ready to be part of them? Or there's a hidden meaning that I should unveil?

How to format a fic from FF.net for bookbinding
So I recently saw that @armoredsuperheavy had an ask about binding a fic from FF.net, and thought I might contribute my experience. :) At the link below is an excerpt from a WIP Book Layout in InDesign document @sleepingpatterns and I are working on. This part deals with how to grab a fic from fanfiction.net and format it for layout in InDesign, but if you're doing layout in Word it will probably work too. Caffeine High Book - by mtjester
Hi all! So after being inspired by @armoredsuperheavy to bind fanfiction, my first foray into the craft was with @mtjester‘s Caffeine High!
Your favorite place on the ship is a small wing of the upper deck dining hall called a “coffee shop.”  You don’t really know much about it, actually, except for the little things you hear now and then.  Coffee is a drink from a planet called Earth, as is the alien chained to the counter, who calls itself a “human.”  You only know that much because you overheard it say so to an angry highblood once.
It’s an awesome rare-pare fic for the Homestuck fandom. It was my very first fanfic download from the internet because I never wanted to lose it. After receiving her permission to publish, I made the following two copies (one for me [left] and one for the author [right]):

For those of you interested in the materials I used, they are as follows:
Envirographic, 20lb cream paper, 8.5x11 (from The Paper Mill Store)
Black waxed thread and linen tape from VENCINK’s bookbinding kit (on Amazon)
Regular black card stock for the end papers
Standard-weave mull (from TALAS)
10pt bristol board (from TALAS)
0.07″ thick Davey boards (from TALAS)
Black Kennett bookcloth (from TALAS)
Reminisce scrapbook outer space paper - the original version (on Amazon)
Things I Learned:
I love the sewing process!
I hate the setting-in process!
(I really thought those two would be flipped)
Folding all the pages in a signature together saves time and seemed to help with punching holes for sewing
Even glue spread makes for best finish
Don’t be stingy on spine-glue
Puncture holes need to be bigger than a tiny dot for big needles to pass through ^^”
I need to switch to a silicone glue brush so fibers don’t end up in the cloth
Things I Want To Try:
Including fanart for the story (with permission)
Painting the title on the spine
Trimming the text block for a flatter look
Using headbands
Japanese stab-bound binding?
More adventurous typesetting
A small custom logo (inspired by @sleepingpatterns)
