From the Chesapeake and Ohio Historical Newsletter (June 1974) comes this history titled âThe Shops at Peach Creekâ composed by C.A. Coulter. This is Part 1 of Mr. Coulterâs account. The railroad was first built to Logan in 1904, the first train arriving on September 9 of that year. The line was started at Barboursville, West Virginia, on the main line, and ran up the Guyan River for 65 miles toâŚ

I wish I was driving through Portland in the rain right now.
#Down I-5 heading Southbound then across Hawthorne toward slabtown#Turn around and cross 405 again to head back north toward home#It's 6am when I leave and the sun hasn't risen yet so the roads are still dark and the traffic lights are obscured by the rain#It's past 7 when I get home and the sun is just rising#It's raining and the window on my dad's car won't roll down anymore so I can only feel the cold morning wind through the passenger's side#Listening to music that reminds me of a friend the whole time#He's gone and I don't make that commute anymore.#I'm leaving in a few hours and I'm just thinking about a lot of the things I'm leaving behind I guess.

Tens of thousands of people visit Bank of America stadium to watch the Carolina Panthers play football each year â never realizing they are walking on top of lost remnants of a once-thriving Black neighborhood established in the aftermath of the Civil War.
The stadium itself is built directly atop a relic of segregated healthcare: Good Samaritan Hospital, the first private hospital built in North Carolina to serve Black patients. Built in 1891, this historic hospital was one of the oldest of its kind in the United States.
It was also the site of one of the âmost horrific racial incidents in Charlotte's history,â according to Dan Aldridge, professor of History and Africana Studies at Davidson College.
A mob of 30 to 35 armed, white men invaded the hospital, dragging a man out of the hospital and into the streets â and shooting him dead in front of the building.
The concept of âurban renewalâ destroyed Black neighborhoods, communities, businesses and homes all across North Carolina, especially between 1949 and 1974.
Durham, for example, once had a prominent Black Wall Street, where Black businesses flourished; however, the historic community was almost completely destroyed by construction of the Durham Freeway.
Likewise, Raleigh once had 13 historic Freedmen's Villages, built entirely by men and women freed from slavery in the aftermath of emancipation. Today, only two are remaining, and Oberlin Village, the largest one, was cut in half by the construction of Wade Avenue.
Similarly, Charlotte's Brooklyn community was built by men and women freed from slavery in the late 1800s. Like many Black communities around the state, it was forced into an awful geographical location â on low-lying land where flooding, sewage and sanitation issues made life hazardous.
According to history in the Charlotte Library, the Brooklyn area was first identified on maps as âLogtownâ in the late 1800s â a name that matches closely with titles given to similar freedmen villages in the Triangle area, which were often called slang names like âSlabtownâ or âSave Rentâ due to their inexpensive homes.
In the 1900s, the area became known as Brooklyn, âa name that would become synonymous with the Black community until urban renewal.â
âIt's a tragedy that so many stadiums were built on sites that were once Black communities,â said Aldridge. âThey're poor neighborhoods. They're struggling neighborhoods. I won't romanticize them by claiming they're all like Black Wall Street, but they were people's homes and people's communities, and they were taken from them.â
Many historically significant Black sites were lost in urban renewal; likewise, many Black communities were forced to build in geographically unfit areas, making growing wealth and property more difficult â and more easily lost over time.
At its peak, Brooklyn was home to:
Charlotte's first Black public school
Charlotte's only Black high school
The city's first free library for Black patrons
The first companies to offer white collar jobs to Black workers
The first private hospital for Black citizens in Charlotte
Today, football players run up and down the Bank of America field for the amusement of thousands of cheering fans. However, in 1913, over a century ago, that same land had a very different story.

An Upcoming Easter Miracle, Foreshadowed By Jesus in 6x10
And just to be clear, 6x10 The Next World was when Jesus was frist introduced to the TWDU...
The opening minutes of TOWL 1x5 mirrored TWD 6x10 like a carbon copy.
We had cold drinks:
We had finding food in cars:
We had drinking soda sexily:
We had spearmint and baking soda flavored toothpaste:
We had interrupted sleep:
Right after Rick and Daryl find the food truck in 6x10, Jesus suddenly appears before them. He comes out of nowhere, and as he does, he delivers this dialogue:
Ten walkers in 11 minutes. As Noah's t-shirt taught us, 11 can be read "one one". So it could be 10 and 2 (one + one = 2), and it could also be 10x11 as in a reference to 10x11 Morningstar. Jesus was referred to as the Morningstar in Revelation 22. Read this post for more on why that's significant, and how it relates to the Slabtown clock. And keep in mind that Sirius is a Morningstar, which is fitting, because we got a surprising appearance by Father Gabriel, a one-eyed Sirius figure.
Now, I've been talking a lot about licence plates lately. Here we see another interesting exemple:
LK8-4167
And the reason it's interesting is because we've seen it before, in 5x9 WHAWGO:
In WHAWGO, we see it practically as we simultanously hear Beth singing Struggling Man, as this was the last episode Beth appeared in (in Tyrese's fever dream). And back when season 5 aired, someone clever in TD (I'm sorry I don't remember who, it's been like a decade) theorized that it could be a reference to Luke 8:
Why Luke 8, is that particular part relevant? Well...
...there is that part about Jesus raising a dead girl, I suppose that could be relevant...especially now, just before Easter...
In this post I talk about Officer Lichari's Dodge Magnum and why it's such an interesting vehicle for TD, and in this post I talk more about the symbolism around the rams.
I'm bringing that up again, because the car where Rick and Michonne found the RAMen noodles was in fact a Dodge:
...and the Dodge logo is a ram...
And we did see some very fierce taxidermy rams in TOWL 1x5:
...so yeah! Happy Easter I guess! Let's keep an eye out for suspiscious resurrections!

i read your theories. And i believe it but there is a feeling inside me and telling me that beth will never comeback. i donât know.
I would be lying if I didn't say that every day, I deal with a similar nagging voice in my head: If she doesn't come back, is this all for nothing? I do truly believe that lately, there has been too many strange developments to be pure coincidence. But, at the same time, I have skepticism deep in my roots. It's simply in my nature to interrogate, which is how I got here in the first place, so I feel you.
I came into the Bethyl fandom about 6 years late. I saw "Coda," during my first TWD marathon during covid in 2020, and I had been accidentally spoiled a long time back. I knew Beth was going to get shot and that she was going to die, so while I was really upset about it, I knew it was going to happen. BUT. I didn't think it would be that...weird?? I just thought a rogue bullet would tag her during a shoot-out, and she'd die in Daryl's arms. But it didn't happen like that at all. It was just so WEIRD! It was so unlike any of the other deaths. And it just didn't sit right. The way Dawn was trying to convince Beth to stay, to do something that she said would be "the most important thing she'll ever do in her life??" Rick's repetition of the "Can't go back, Bob," line? The weird POV and high angle shots during the exchange? The bizarre audio and closed captions that don't match what we hear and/or see? The canted shots, which I remembered from a film class I took in college were meant to communicate messages of disorientation and even psychosis. I thought, is something wrong with Rick? Is he misremembering what happened? I was also stunned by the coda with Morgan, because it was just so...oblique? Like what were all those weird, random bits of inventory? The magazine, the little things he leaves at the altar, and how he seems to be laughing at some cosmic truth we can't see or understand. I thought, I have to be missing something!
Then I watched WHAWGO, and I knew something was like really off. I knew that the writers were playing some sort of game. I couldn't really put my finger on it, but like, I just figured they would address it later. I figured that whatever was being hidden, it would soon surface. But it never did. Around the time I was watching season 8, so maybe a month or two later, I found Team Delusional on tumblr, and I realized that my instincts were, if not definitively correct, than at least being shared by tons of other fans. It was amazing to me that, six years later, I could be asking the same exact questions, completely unprompted, that they were asking at the time the episode aired. How could that be a coincidence?
In any case, skepticism still finds me from time to time, mainly, I assume, as a form of self-preservation. I mostly cope with my creeping, inevitable skepticism by just...continuing to badger the evidence. Anytime I simply feel like being reminded of why I care so much about this, I go back and revisit "Slabtown" and "Coda." For me, the most convincing evidence is actually the Christ imagery. Why plant a bunch of Christ imagery if you weren't planning a resurrection? It really doesn't make sense. And it's really not that unusual for the GA of a show like this to just miss the signs. Because while "the signs are all there," if you don't know how to read them, you might just think you're looking at confusing writing choices and/or you might just tell yourself, "Meh, well, it's just a TV show. It's not that serious." And, of course, it's not. It IS just a TV show, but I have met lots of people who, because of TD, at the very least, have gone back and admitted that, um, yeah. "Coda" IS kind of weird. Like, what is it with that? And the angle of the gun actually DOESN'T make sense, and yeah, why DIDN'T we see Beth's funeral? Isn't a whole big deal made in "Alone" about Beth and how important she thinks it is to give dead people funerals? These are all objectively valid questions! They don't take "true believer" or "conspiracy theory" ideologies to entertain. They just take one single second look at the evidence and an open mind. Team Delusional really isn't delusional at all. We're simply very inquisitive, detail oriented people who really love Beth and Daryl.
All of that said, I definitely understand where your skepticism is coming from, and it's been such a long time. The best way I've found to deal with it, other than continuing to interrogate the show, is to just sort of let go of control and enjoy the moment as a hobby and/or a passion. For me, this kind of research and analysis is definitely a passion. But also, to (badly) quote @twdmusicboxmystery, "Until the powers that be come right out and say, 'Beth is dead and she is never coming back,' I'll be here." I do really think she's alive! And at the very least, I believe they'll create closure for Daryl, in some way that has to involve Beth.
Keep believing!! But don't let it cause you pain or anxiety. It has to be fun. Whatever will be will be, and if you're not enjoying it, it's okay to take breaks or to just take a firm "wait and see" approach. You can always change your mind and dive back in when you feel up to it again â¤ď¸đđŤ

The Get Well Soon elevator đ clock â°ď¸
Beth's get well soon clock points to both 10&10 and 10&2.
It's always been a clue to the timing of her return.
It has many applications, but it's symbolic of a reset on a clock.
A reset in the story is just what we are seeing with Rick and Michonne, retelling Beth, Daryl, and Noah's story.
When I heard the numbers 10&2 repeated in 104 in relation to the elevator that Rick and Michonne take, I laughed because that means it's almost time!
Finally... for Beth to "Get Well Soon!" â¤ď¸
The elevator đ has 10 minutes left of reserve power. The elevator đ has 2 minutes left of reserve power.
What does an elevator do? đ
It makes you go up or go down.
What do we do when unwell? Lay down
And when we get well? Rise up.
10&2 points to laying down or going down to the lower level.
10&10 points to rising up to the higher level. And starting again - beginning again 0101. Coda
The elevator is the marker here or fill in for the get well soon clock, and it's telling us she's about to return.
We first saw this clock in slabtown 504, and not long after, Beth "died."
Slabtown, now that i think of it, was a play on a mortuary slab. Or going down the elevator đ (being unwell), Beth literally jumped onto the mortuary slab of walkers at the bottom of the elevator when she tried to escape with Noah.
The name, the clock â°ď¸ and the down elevator were a clue to death.
Beth went down in season 5, and what we now need to see is 10.10, which is a reset on a clock, but it also means begin again 01.01 or Coda.
Coughs ***The Last Time 106 - the name literally means CODA.
To play again for the last time, a conclusion, and tail-end.
Which represents a beginning but is also an end. âžď¸âžď¸âžď¸

Weird Slabtown Detail?
So I was rewatching "Slabtown". You know the scene where they cut off Joan's arm? I was rewatching it with my mom and she asked me why they used that slow technique. So I was like yeah true, weird. I study anatomy and physiology and I'm currently doing an externship in the medical field. I've never seen that instrument in books or whatever. So I had to do some research, took me quite some time to find it. I was even unsure of what to write to look it up, I wrote "cutting surgery thread" nothing came up, after a few more tries I finally found it. It's called "Gigli Saw". So apparently in our modern times this instrument is not used that often for limb amputations, but of course TWD Grady doesn't have much technology or modern equipment, hence why they used that. Apparently is the perfect instrument to cut through bones. And apparently is often used forr... Craniotomy! Which basically means cranial surgery. As you can see in the pictures below, one of those says "Supraorbital craniotomy" which means "cranial surgery above the eye", which is supposedly where Beth was shot. I have no idea how cranial surgeries work in this specific contest, I guess they would cut through the skull to remove the bullet (?) or see what part has been damaged. (I'm not sure if she had the bullet stay in the head or if it went through though)
Last detail of my research is that this instrument was invented by an Italian surgeon to facilitate difficult delivery of babies by "Lateralized Pubiotomy". No idea if this is something important, BUT there has been humors of Daryl eventually ending up in other European countries, but these are just rumors and I personally don't think that's what will happen.
Side note on "delivery of babies", Beth loves kids and she was obviously a mother figure to Judith.
Thoughts?

Chi Rho, Jesus Christ, Coda, PPP
What is Chi Rho?
Chi (X) Rho (p) are the first two letters of the Greek word for Christos and means Jesus Christ Himself. It looks like this combined:
I think this is actually part of the PPP mythology, and I believe Beth Greene has a lot to do with that, I will explain. 1) We believe Beth is a Christ figure, due to her messages of hope, and faith, and all these reasons that this user has compiled https://apocalypse-married.tumblr.com/post/121561238682/beth-greene-as-a-christ-figure
2) Beth Green wears the yellow polo, the color yellow is often used to depict the Chi Rho. Yellow symbolizes hope.
3) Chi bears visual similarities to the Coda symbol. This symbol was introduced after Beth's sacrifice at Grady.
4) Rho (p) is remniscient of the ppp card.
5) The triple P is another Christ symbol for the Holy Trinity.
6) There is a running hypothesis that PPP stands for People Protecting People, as hinted at in the One's Who Live
7) I believe Georgie's group is part of the PPP. One of there first quotes: "If perhaps people can believe in people again..." They go searching for communities who are exhibiting behaviors like good people to benevolently share knowledge (in exchange for 4 crates of music), The Key to the Future, for growth. If this group is the PPP, it's secondary musical connection is that ppp stands for pianississimo (to play very very quietly).
8) Chi Rho, Jesus himself, if the Key to eternal life, the key to the kingdom of Heaven.
9) Beth is linked to this group in three ways (theoretically), the first being the belief in good people, given her funeral home conversation with Daryl. The second, being the musical link and their trade for records (Beth Slabtown, "It's been a long time since I heard a record." Third, the PPP graffiti in the Bulletproof Picasso music video that Emily starred in before her onscreen death.
