Dear followers and moots, I just wanted to say thank you so much for accepting me with open arms in the kpop fandom. I truly appreciate it! I’ve never been more grateful for y’all’s interactions.

Before I even took it upon myself to start actively writing on tumblr I’ve been a regular since ‘08. I started off writing for myself in 6th grade with a pen and notebook before I resorted to writing online. While I haven’t really been updating as much as I would like to, it’s been mostly because of the chaotic rollercoaster that my life has been. hi keisy <3 im curious, which fic of yours is your favorite? like which one did you enjoy writing the most, and what inspired it?

hello rin! welp, i do have a few fics that i really like, “play with fire” (hyunjin), “a gaze of astonishment” (hyunjin), “a pillow in between” (lee know), “the spilled ink on his tracing paper” (seungmin) and “candle on the window sill” (seungmin) here's a long explanation hehe enjoy!

first i have “play with fire” which i wrote when hyunjin released his dance cover, it is inspired by the victorian era, sleeping beauty and beauty and the beast, also, i associated the song because i fell in love with it at first listen. i wrote that fic for days and had my friend read it and she told me it was good. the whole concept was inspired by the theme of his dance cover, the long black hair and the prince outfit. i also implied the fact that skz’s concept were wolves during kingdom and i added a twist by mixing sleeping beauty and beauty and the beast! i don’t really know where the plot came from since it is already mixed so yeah. but i did like it so i decided to make it as a standalone series. play with fire was the first. 

second is “a gaze of astonishment”, i had this song in my head, which was overdrive by conan gray, like i know this is part of my taylor swift songs standalone series inspired by wildest dreams but i think overdrive complimented it well since it is about two strangers having fun on their first night of being with each other a few minutes after they met. i had the plot written in my head when i was riding the bus home. basically, overdrive is about seeing a complete stranger in the train or somewhere, then you just imagine how life would be if you’re with them, platonic or romantically. i got carried away with the plot so it explains why it is longer than my target length of the fic which is 7k. wildest dreams added the spice to it tho. 

third is a “a pillow in between”, i was traveling back then when this story came into my head, i was listening to a couple of supporting songs for my taylor swift songs series and minho was written for her song called, cruel summer. this is an enemies to lovers trope where i had to base it on the song itself. i know its cliche but hey, it got a lot of notes! a pillow in between was a fic that i was excited to write because i finally wrote something for minho and i had to write it while i was at the airport waiting for our plane. lmao. 

fourth is the “spilled ink of his tracing paper” this was the era where seungmin admitted he watched that kdrama nevertheless (song kang and han sohee) along with the other members. and they said it was intense so i had to watch it myself. the kdrama was suggestive but i had to cool it down for the fic since i couldn’t write smut at that time, but i tried hard for seungmin to be a walking red flag when he’s just shy to y/n. so basically it was inspired by nevertheless but instead of giving them the same roles from the drama, i had to revise it to make it more unique. but the tension is still there, only a bit. 

and lastly, “candle on the window sill” another seungmin, yes, everything i write about seungmin (and hyunjin) always become my favorite. so this fic is a part of my taylor swift song series and i associated the song the way i loved you to it because i always think of seungmin whenever i hear that song, although it’s heart breaking. but hey, it matches his vibe! a perfect man that your parents love but you had to break up because he’s too nice or it’s always about misunderstandings, also it was also inspired by how me and my friend imagine about what might happen when we get into a relationship with someone we really like but always fight? yeah, also, the fic is all about missing someone and craving one’s touch after a long time.

Plot idea (taken)

Plot summary: two childhood friends whose life's were torn apart from each other at the age of 5 and 8, because of war, meet again under unexpected circumstances at the ages of 20 and 23. Story is located in the old Japan, Nara-Heian historical periods.

Characters: hyunlix, chanho or chanlix as protagonists, the rest of skz as second charas.

Note: we can talk out how relationships are gonna be if u wanna add ocs. This is just an idea of memberXmember but we can adaptate it whowever fits best for us both. In any case, I'd like to play as Felix/Minho.

Others: this story is a mix of romance, adventure, fantasy, etc. Things like romance, nsfw, angst, war, death, etc. can be added. It'd be cool if we can add magic/powers, pirates... We can always discuss things, add, quit or change the story.

In deep:

Hyunjin/Chan works as a samurai/soldier for the current royal family of the kingdom.

He thought his friend Felix/Minho died alongside his family a long time ago when war came to their land. Since then, he works diligently to serve the royal family who "saved him" from a life of misery and death.

In this way, new relationships began to form in his life, some kids his age (any other skz member) who also served as bodyguards (or worked in smt else for the royal family), the prince and the princess (all of them around his age) became his new family.

His world now revolves around them. Nonetheless, the pain and aftertaste of the past still chases him, not being able to forget about his old childhood friend, who he so dearly loved.

On the other side...

Felix/Minho, scared by war, ran from it after apparently witnessing from afar how his dear friend Hyunjin/Chan and his family "were killed".

Having a rough time as his life was about to quickly end due to heavy injuries, he was saved by a mysterious woman who kept him safe in a far, far away, and hidden place. A tribe where no one, but those who were born there, were able to enter, or even discover about.

In this place he was raised and taught about dragons (mainly) and a huge diversity of fantasy creatures who freely roamed the lands of the new era they were in (Heian era).

As years passed by he became one of the youngest generals of the tribe for his admirable work in combat, but mostly for his explendid work in medicine and his knowledge of the grounds and fantasy creatures surrounding the kingdom.

Note: he can't leave the tribe alone since he has health issues (he usually leaves with other skz members who are now his friends).

In result...

After so many years of thinking the other was dead, they meet in strange/unexpected circumstances (maybe another war can happen, or they can simply meet by accident somehow).

At first they don't recognise each other since they have changed a lot, but eventually one of them (better if it's Hyunjin/Chan) recognises the other, and tries to contact them once again.

Everything became incredibly confusing and painful, the sorrow they both feel leads to so many different paths that always cross. Destiny is trying to reunite them nonstop, yet they both have responsibilities to take care of. Mostly now, when things start to be uncertain under a kingdom that, once again, faces heavy difficulties.

Important point is that they meet once again, and they may have to work together to save the kingdom or work separetly in their own ways, either way fearing losing the other again. The story can develop whowever we want to and the ending can be wtv we decide too.

listen, you are but a simple person, you see a hot game character, you simp for said character. Luckily for you, Felix likes simping for Genshin Characters with you. Unluckily, Felix can't keep secrets, especially from your boyfriend, Chan.

"No, like Hyung LISTEN, he looks exactly like you when we were in our wolfgang era, like you don't understand." Felix was pleading Chan to at least look at his phone screen. The sunshine boy had been farming for Wriothesely and Neuvillette ever since he heard of their existence, along with you. Although Felix had not managed to bring the Fontaine daddy's home, which was very sad.

"Felix, listen that's cool and all but you know I don't have an interest in this game, I don't see the point in showing me this" Chan was tired, he already had so much on his plate with the comeback. He just wanted to go home and take a nap with his head on your lap while you play your game, the sounds of fighting and BGM lulling him to sleep along with your soft breathing and little sounds of excitement when you did something right.

Honestly Chan had never really had any interest in the game, he knows you and Felix like it very much, knows how many hours you've spent staying up, 'farming' for your favorite characters, he didn't know what farming meant, but he would rather admire your face of concentration when you played than the game.

The one time he got curious about the game was when you and Felix had started theorizing about some sort of prince? He tried to follow along, but everything was just so complicated. Felix had always complained that despite your help, he still doesn't understand how to build his characters, and Chan doesn't think he would fare any better.

"COME ONNNN, even [Name] agreed that Wrio was hot, like Hyung you gotta see him, HE HAS HANDCUFFS HYUNG, HANDCUFFS" now that caught Chan's attention. While you had found some character attractive, you would always share them with him, asking him what he thought, but he hasn't heard you mention this 'Wrio' character yet.

Chan does know that you've been spending a lot more time on Genshin recently. He just thought that maybe your followers wanted more Genshin content. Maybe, though, were you trying to collect things for this character?

"Did [Name] say he looks like me as well?" Chan asked, Felix smiled brightly before responding, "They were actually the one that brought up the comparison! I think it's so cute that they're farming for him and building him up so much, he's really getting the princess treatment on their account, which says a lot because so far only Xiao and Ganyu have had that" and then Felix brought his hand up to his mouth in shock. "Shit…. I was not supposed to tell you that"

Well, now Chan has acquired new information. Hmm, maybe he should download the game too, then he could play with you. He knows Stay loves it when he shows up on your streams.

You knew what it would be like getting into a relationship with an idol, some hate from fans, minimum amount of time together because of tours. Luckily, both your fans and Stays had welcomed your relationship because of your previous friendship, so it wasn't a big shock when you two announced that you were dating.

The time away did get tough, but you've been together long enough to be able to endure it. This doesn't mean that you don't miss your boyfriend when he gets busy with the comeback season. You've just learned to cope by burying yourself in games. If your followers noticed this, then they wouldn't say anything about your content multiplying at the same time that Skz has a comeback.

Your new victim had been Genshin impact, a fan favorite, with Fontaine coming out. You were really excited. You had spent so much time collecting everything needed to ensure you get all the characters you want. You brought your C4 Hu Tao to a C6, and you managed to get C5 Neuvillette. Now you are struggling to get a C3 Wriothesley.

The cryo administrator had caught your attention very fast, his resemblance to your boyfriend making you love him. You were a Xia and Ganyu main. This was known. Those two characters had the worst case of princess treatment on your account, but that was all forgotten now.

Your followers watch as you sit hunched over your desk, hand gripping your hair. You had been trying for C6 Wriothesley for an hour but managed to get to C2, and then he was never seen again. You had already leveled him up to the max, got his artifacts, weapon, and everything was perfect, except for his constellation. And you curse Mihoyo, because if that little electro gold digging child graced your screen ONE more time, you were going to lose it. "Guys, I think we have to stop here for today. Clearly, my luck has run out. We'll have to try again tomorrow and hope C6 Wriothesley joins us."

After saying your greetings, you end the stream, looking at your account, now completely drained of all the resources you used on getting this character.

Damn the things you do for your boyfriend, well not for your boyfriend, but close enough. Sighing, you stand up and stretch, cursing as your back lets out a loud crack, damn you really need to see a physician or something, or at least fix your posture.

You hear the door open, signaling your boyfriend is home, so you walk to the front of the house, greeting him. Only for some reason, your boyfriend has the biggest smile on his face.

"Sooooooooooo, how would you feel if I were to ask you to play Genshin with me? like help me make an account and learn controls. " Immediately you perk up, your earlier frustration for the game forgotten, just happy to be sharing something with your boyfriend. You smile back in response.

Later that night, after you both have eaten and done your nightly routine, you sit at your set up, you and your boyfriend both on your respective chairs as you help him set up an account, he has the camera placed on the side of the desk because he needs to record a Vlog for the skz channel, which you don't mind.

After you explain to him the basis of the wishing system and show him how big the map gets and everything he has to do, he gets a little nervous. You assure him that the game isn't going anywhere, and there's no need to rush himself. After he is playing for a few hours when you arrive in Mondstat, you decide it's time to go to bed, telling him that since he has an off day tomorrow, he can continue playing then.

He tells you he wants to try wishing at least once before bed, and you can't say no when he looks at you like a kicked wolf. So you give in, helping him gain pay for Primo's and asking him what he wants to wish for. His response shocks you. "Felix told me there was this ice guy that reminded you of me, I want him," damnt Felix, and his loose lips. "Wriothesley? he's a 5-star, and you might not get him on your first multi, Don't you want to try Noel first? she's guaranteed" Your boyfriend only shakes his head in response, " I want the guy that reminded you of me" he says it with such a sweet smile, little dimples showing that you can't help but give him a kiss before complying with his wish.

Pressing the button, you explain to him the significance of the colors of the stars, and to your surprise, it seems he has a 5 star in his first Multi. He starts jumping in his seat as he click past the 3 star weapons to see what he got, first he's greeted with Thoma, you congratulate him, saying it's a good character, the next picture on the screen shocks you, in front of you appears Wriothesley, the man that reminded you of your boyfriend, the same man you had to use 3 Multi's to get the first time, you stare in shock as Chan jumps up screaming in excitement. After 5 minutes, he gets back to the screen, revealing that he also got Dori. When he finished clearing his Multi, you congratulated him on the good wish, telling him he must've drawn the lucky end of the straw.

That night you cuddle up with your boyfriend, lulling him to sleep as you explain the backstory and significance of Characters he would meet early on, you look down at your boyfriend, whose head is rested on your chest, arms wrapped around your waist, your fingers threading through his hair, and you smile.

Chan truly deserves the world. You can't even be jealous of his first multi being so lucky because seeing him smile like that tonight was worth it.

"Babe, guess what, I played some genshin this morning, and I wished again, I got a little carried away, BUT I GOT C6 WRIOTHESLEY!"

fuck being happy for Chan, being woken up to the news that he has managed to obtain the very thing you have been struggling to do. You look at him through lidded eyes, his cheerful self standing in the doorframe, looking at you who's still on the bed. You grunt and turn around, bringing the blanket to cover your face.You are not gonna deal with this right now.

You hear your boyfriend giggle as he jumps on you, taking the blanket away from your face. "Loveee youuuu," he sing-songs, obviously trying to wake you up. You hum back in response. He giggles again before starting to leave little kisses all over your face while his hands tickle your waist through the blanket.

You may give Wriothesley the princess treatment on genshin, but he could never compare to Chan. Nothing could compare to the feeling of your giggling boyfriend waking you up with kisses. Nothing at all.

EEEEEEEE THEATRICAL CONCEPTS!!!! YES I AGREE!!!! i actually really liked all in’s concept. even though i’m not the biggest fan of the song itself. it’s not bad, but it’s not my fav.

looks and fashion wise

i’ve always loved god’s menu chan. i think it makes him look so regal. like a prince who also leads his knights in battle. and the mv outfit with the cargo pants and stuff is also so so cool. i just think it’s overall a very great era. and his looked exceptionally good then!

honourable mention: blue haired chan from maniac. it was such a look!! and the blue and yellow contrast was so pleasing to my eyes

vocals wise

honestly i think chris showcased some of his best vocals on the NOEASY album. like his range in that album was amazing. especially with him singing with his lower register in Red Lights. just– utterly beautiful.

honourable mentions: district 9 (just– wow. very very impressive), chill (hehe i am absolutely in love with his falsetto), waiting for us (my absolute fav. i just love when he sings the melody near the end. it’s so– there’s something so gut wrenchingly emotional about it), oh also!! SLUMP

tbh this is hard bcs i think chris always goes really hard when it comes to his producing. like i always say that that man, more than anything, more than an idol or a performer, is a producer through and through. it’s his biggest asset. he’s REALLY good at producing. that and his voice. i love his voice. truly from an unbiased pov.

anyway– sorry for the ramble haha! i think… personally… he’s done his best songwriting and producing on maniac. the other albums also have a lot of gems but maniac really stood out for me. and go live!! a lot of experimental stuff on go live. loved that.

oooh I completely agree with the Maniac album being a new level of production for skz led by Chris ofc like Venom is one of those songs for me where I hear something new in the instrumentals *every* time I hear it and the album felt like it had a lot of overall cohesion

Chris is so emotive with his vocals like there is just something about his voice that really gets me. Not necessarily eras but specific moments that stand out to me are 1. his run at the beginning of the last chorus of Insomnia 2. the end of the bridge in Airplane 3. his pre-chorus and harmonies in Blueprint 4. the stunning high note at the end of the Maniac bridge 5. all of Waiting for Us like my goodness that song was made for his voice and ofc 6. the entirety of I Hate to Admit It the expressiveness is overwhelming in that song to me

Or someone that cant handle being in a relationship with an idol, she has to know that she WILL be a secret and cannot try to expose the relationship or him. So, his ideal type has to have some level of independence, but he doesnt like girls too independent/distant. He wants someone that can be clingy/possessive with him, Han can't deal with someone emotionally/mentally unavailable. (Hes probably not the type to do well in sex-only relationships, hes the type to agree to a friends with benefits begrudgingly, fall in love, then try to change the lover or trick them into completely committing to him). He needs to be careful agreeing and doing things like that, he can really end up hurting himself.

The Gumiho God-King (Bang Chan)

\\ 구미호/Gumiho is a Korean folk legend of a nine-tailed fox. It is said to have magical shapeshifting abilities, a knack for mischief and an almost seductive nature in some legends. The Korean gumiho is believed to have similar characteristics to the Chinese huli jing and Japanese kitsune.//

A/N: The GO LIVE poster had me feeling some kind of way, with that hanbok and that eye scar and the double coloured eyes.. Chan makes me feel some type of way all the time, eh well. To be clear, I’ve taken some liberties with the historical and mythological details of it all- This is entirely a work of fiction so please don’t come for me T_T  ( @rebecca-noona you said you’d want to read it if I ever actually wrote it so >.<)

//He was the first prince of the Goryeo dynasty, the first son of a king who rose from a bloody past to set the foundations of a dynasty that lasted almost half a century, the inheritor of a new world- until suddenly he was nothing at all.\\

Prince Bang Chan was the doted-upon son of the Queen mother’s undivided attention, the apple of the emperor’s eye, the beloved young royal of the palace and the country he would one day grow to rule. 

He grew up unconfined, learning more from the wild outdoors than the teachings that his father’s brood of scholars could try to impart. He’d sneak out of the palace at the early hours of the night, climbing the highest trees in the grove beyond the western gate and watch the falling of the night’s moon. 

People watching fascinated him- he’d wander the crowded marketplace with guards in disguise, watching the uncountable faces betray and hide emotion as they passed by. 

Chan, the name the palace fondly called him, was as quick on his feet as he was with his mind. Sword fighting, archery and wrestling came to him easily and so, when he was of age, he left his home to fight wars with his people. 

The war taught Chan even more- everything that was wrong with his country. The festering politics, the blatant bias and nepotism, the plight of the downtrodden left an effect on him, a fire to fight the injustices his people faced.

Determined to make a change, he rose through the army’s ranks, commanding respect, trust and power because of his seemingly endless skills. There was not one soul, general or soldier, who was immune to the Crown Prince’s incredible charm.

He took lovers almost as easily with that exact charm- He’d grown up well, the young Crown Prince. Along with the mysterious dark eyes, sensuous lips and broad shoulders, he brought wit honed like the gold-hilted dagger he always kept on his person.

Maybe it all worked too well, for the love he received from the world brought him enemies who were not happy with the changes that the headstrong, quick-witted young prince could bring to the country and the court- the foremost of them being his younger brother, the 2nd prince.

Chan was posted in the particularly volatile western border, it wasn’t too difficult for the 2nd prince and the prime minister to arrange for an accident in the melee that ended with Chan stabbed in the heart and left in a copse of bamboo trees to bleed to death.

It was the entirety of a heartbroken army that sent a message back to the Goryeo capital, mourning the loss of the beloved Crown Prince who had his whole life and ascension ahead of him. Little did they know the betrayal that had brought them to that day. 

If only Chan had died that night, his own gold dagger in his heart and his blood in his mouth.

It was Autumn’s Eve. The full moon night and the spiritual significance of the day brought together the elusive Gumiho clans every year, at a spot not too far off from where Chan’s almost dead body lay. 

The scent of blood brought one particular young Gumiho named Jihyo to the bamboo copse and to the armored, bloody of the crown prince. It didn’t take even a second of thought for her to notice the goodness and the streak of willfulness in him. 

Jihyo decided to give him part of her magic, healing Chan and effectively turning into a Gumiho himself. Contrary to the mortals’ beliefs, the gumiho was a race of benevolent, if not slightly fun loving half-humans with supernatural powers.

Maybe it was the strength his body and mind held or just sheer luck, but Chan survived the worst, biding through his injuries under the care of Jihyo’s Gumiho clan. He took days to recover even otherwise, his body still accepting the new magic that ran through his veins. 

Chan awoke 2 weeks later in a whole new world from the one he closed his eyes on- eyes that were now one blue, one black. He was no longer a crown prince, no longer a royal, no longer entirely even human. 

It was all too new for him, too shocking, to be something that he had believed to be figments of bedtime stories until then. It was almost impossible for him to look at the back of a shiny copper plate and see the fox-like tilt to his eyes, the sharp tips of his ears, the canines looking slightly longer than before.

The weight of the tails near his tailbone left him imbalanced and struggling to walk for days after he woke up, even more before he could understand his new magic enough to hide them. 

Jihyo and her Gumiho clan watched the vigour with which Chan’s strength came back to him, the willful streak pushing him to learn more about his new form; it was almost like he was pushing himself to the limit, to some goal that he wasn’t ready to voice aloud. 

Chan did have a goal: To get back to his old life as fast as possible. It didn’t matter that he’d have to expend his magic to keep a pretense alive for the rest of his now immortal life, he had too much to go back for. 

“You shouldn’t go back,”Jihyo reasoned with Chan. “Mortals aren’t very.. accepting if they find out about our true forms.”

and she was met with a glint in his eyes and found herself levelled with a gaze that belonged to a future king, the jilted leader of a bloody empire.

 “It will kill me if I didn’t try.”

And try he did- the guards fainted when they set eyes on him. What else would they do, when the crown prince they’d mourned for weeks suddenly appeared, beyond hale and hearty in the dead of night? 

His mother welcomed his back with tears in her eyes, already looking years older in the few months he had been away. 

Before he could meet his father who’d been sent to his deathbed, he was stopped by the same person who had put him in this plight. The second prince, his own brother sneered at him, asking him what black magic he’d used to survive the dagger he’d poisoned himself.

The shock ravaging Chan’s system almost made him lose control over his carefully constructed mask. In the seconds of him processing the betrayal, the 2nd prince drew his sword on Chan, leaving him no option but to retaliate, the military training over the years kicking in. 

A fierce tango ensued and soon, they found themselves with locked blades, snarling in each others faces, until his younger brother uttered the most atrocious sentence. 

“The throne will be mine, brother. I even poisoned our father for this.”

The snarl of pure rage that rippled from Chan’s throat had his magic exploding outwards, destroying his human face and throwing his brother backward. 

The terror that chilled the 2nd Prince’s spine at the sight of the Crown Prince growling at him with double colored eyes and fangs had him screaming for the guards. 

and chaos ensued. 

It was a miracle Chan even got out alive, as injured and broken as he was. 

It was all too much for him, the hope he had for being a change in the world melting away with the realization that he was too late, humanity was too far gone already, that he would never be part of that world again. 

He found his way back to Jihyo and her clan who accepted him with open arms, allowing him to find solace in the company of souls who had felt the same as him in their past. 

The clan healer’s magic was enough to remove any scars that his injuries could leave, but Chan asked for one to not be touched- a single wound that swiped a thin red line down his left eye, cutting through his eyebrow and stopping just below his eye.

It would serve as a reminder of everything he’d faced and lost as a mortal, and an assurance that he’d never allow that kind of ice-cold corruption to mar the society he was now a part of.

Now almost 900 years old, Chan holds a position of power in the supernatural world, not too different from the one he was meant to hold all those centuries ago as a mortal. 

Everybody knows the story of the Gumiho King from a forgotten era, a cautionary tale for the evil and a legend for the downtrodden, a half-mortal with a moral compass that would never stray from the light.
