Anyone else notice how the Oblivion Wabbajack looks like a dark purple version of the Priests of Order staffs in the Shivering Isles? I know it’s probably because they reused the model, but here’s my in game theory.
Early on into the Sheogorath/Jyggalag curse, the first Priest of Order to turn to Sheogorath gave the madgod their staff as a sign of good will, but the item of Order wasn’t to the Madgod’s liking, as it was the antithesis to his being so he used his new (kinda old, but new since he was just transformed into Sheo) powers to corrupt the item and turning it into the staff we all know and love.
Just a theory/headcannon, don’t take it too seriously

Morokei
So now I've actually takenn the time to update his art a little I'm going to share some lore / headcannons for Morokei.
Morokei is Nahkriin's right hand man the two where friends before the formation of the Dragon Cult and after hearing Nahkriin's proposal (after beining given the mask by Alduin) Morokei agreed and got his own mask from Odahviing. Morokei has remained by Nahkriin's side and the two are lovers. He keeps telling Nahkriin to divorce his wife (who knows about Morokei, the two are actually good friends) but Nahkriin doesn't want to admit his sexuality.
Morokei posesses a unique ability that he cannot be harmed by anyone who isn't a dragon. Due to this he doesn't fear for his life by mortal hands. He was given a reality check when in an outburst Zaan hit him with her sheild cutting his brow and giving him a scar. At first he wondered if this magic was wearing off, but after several attempts with no damage he begun to suspect that Zaan like Miraak was also Dragonborn.
Morokei was the one who gave Zaan her dragon priest training and daught her Dovahzul after Thurvokun chose her to be a preist at aged 15. To which Morokei secretly disagreed with the dragon and was like "We are not putting a child in charge of a goverment." Morokei's training was rather strict and Zaan resents him somewhat for it. He also trained Tulnir hence why Tulnir is near by in ESO.
Morokei remained in Bromjunaar during the Dragon War, and stood to face the Hawk Cult (Kyne's followers) when they stormed the city. However, the followers of Kyne knew they could not defeat Morokei due to his inibility to be harmed. And Morokei knew if he defeated these followers then more would just follow and it would be never ending. So with no dragon masters to serve, he allowed the followers of Kyne to put him to rest. But not before sending a spell to in form Nahkriin in Skuldafen that Bromjunaar had fallen.
After his defeat at the hands of the Dragonborn Zenosha (OC) she took Morokei's mask. When it was time to fight Nahkriin himself. She put on the mask and Morokei knowing this all must end helped her in defeating Nahkriin and aided him to Sovengaurde.
Morokei despite being an Atmoran always complains he's cold even in the middle of summer.

Not to toot my own horn but this was the most aesthetically cohesive battle we've had. Everyone focusing on the dragon while Gore stays behind me for backup on the auxiliary enemies, Ieama remembering to change to a non AOE spell before getting close range, Auri and Redcap not hitting anyone in the party. It's just Chefs Kiss
Spoiler line is for Head Cannon thoughts on the group learning to work together and small spoilers (info from conversations) for some followers!
Hearkening back to this post, I like to think after her revelation, Ieama has tried to make amends to her fighting style since she cares quite a lot for her friends. But, she is not the best tactician for teams, and she hardly knows how to communicate in the middle of a fight, so it's likely the others who have experience with fighting in groups that help with plans or drills for the party.
Still, she has made attempts at least for taking more restoration spells, a feat she needed the college of Winterhold for, to her chagrin. At least if she does hit someone she can heal them well now, but her goal is to avoid hitting anyone, as she is used to not caring about the splash zones of her spells.
Of the others, Auri had been on her own for a while, and Remiel was looking out for herself for the longest time. Redcap meanwhile is pretty adaptable, working with his tribe, then alone with Anise, then again with a full adventuring party. Xelzaz also was a solitary before they met. For all of them, they all have a more one on one fight style, like Ieama. Xelzaz however seems to have experience at least in expeditions and teaming up for missions more so then the others. Meanwhile, Gore has talked about being taught to plan for and after fights, so I know he would help drill the group on down time for safety reasons. After losing everything he knew to Jo-Lee's machinations, he likely harbors the fear of losing his found family. Not to mention the innumerable times hes shouted directions to Ieama in the heat of a fight ("stand back, down a potion, and let me rip them in half for you-") or offered info on an area's inhabitants ("vampire/spriggan/troll lives nearby.") before the enemy found us. He is young, and was younger still when he was made a lieutenant in the Ravens, a title that entails leadership, management and direction to units, so he had a great deal of responsibility over people. So he's likely to drill the group for ambushes, keep an eye on archer's ammo, remind the team when they need to make a restock trip, and were it not for Xelzaz he'd probably take over food and water inventory as well.
Val, as a pirate captain, and all that entails, would have good battle plans and contingencies. He's of a a keen mind for both diplomacy and made good investment into his reputation, and also the added bonus of him being able to think on his feet is a good skill. Val also has age on his side, and with that a good deal of experience to share. But unlike Gore, he kept his cards close with the full extent of his plans, or, he only thinks halfway through and plays it by ear as he goes. Still a good skill for an unexpected turn of events in a fight, though. He is also hard on himself for his mistakes and past, and the responsibility weighed on him leading up to meeting the party. Val had/has a lot of grief over failing his brother Fathis, and in turn he knows he lost himself to vices when he finally became captain of the Dark Rose. His self awareness is, as he has said, a curse. He would help if asked, and I have no illusion his experiance would be a boon for the party, but I can imagine his worry of doing right for the team would rear its head due to him dwelling on his past mistakes.

Okay hear me out. What if the Falmer were culturally far more similar to the modern day nords rather than the altmer or the ayleids?
Like if the Falmer's culture was a more intense version of what we see of the ancient nords in Skyrim. Because the nords kind of just integrated their own culture into the falmers. Maybe the Falmer were originally far more similar to the vikings and other ancient Scandinavian cultures rather than just being the altmer but pale.
Or maybe even towards the end of their reign they started to shift cultures to a more altmer influenced lifestyle and religion making Auri-el a more prominent God figure in their pantheon. Sort of similar to how Scandinavia got christianised.
It would explain why tensions between the Atmorans and the Falmer suddenly became so high when they were previously living peacefully together.
It would also be fascinating to consider the fact the nords could actually be descendants of both the atmorans and the Falmer. Sort of like the bretons. It's very difficult to completely wipe out an entire country worth of people. And not every Falmer wanted to go underground with most being opposed to the idea. So it would make more sense for those who didn't join the Dwemer for protection to be slowly "integrated" with the atmorans which would explain the entire disappearance of the rest of the Falmer. It also gives the modern day Nords a new context which I really like because its sort of poetic irony the nords themselves would be another small part of what was left of the ancient falmer.
Also there's no way a bunch of people living in freezing cold temperatures aren't going to have beards. Bethesda is lying to me.
Anyways it might not line up with canon but it's an interesting thought. Also brings some funny scenarios to mind.

i don’t think i’ve ever told anyone this but like, during one of my first Skyrim play throughs, i was working up to build Lakeview manner. Lydia was my companion for the majority of the beginning, and she followed me around literally everywhere. holding all the materials i was hoarding, fighting my battles for me (i was new and inexperienced), and generally doing all the heavy work and getting literally no reward.
and when i say holding all my materials, i mean all my materials. all my good gems. my stone. clay. other miscellaneous ingots and bs i was never gonna look at nor use. countless dragon bones, scales, cast iron pots, ingredients and potions i “may need someday”.
she followed me everywhere, fought dragons, went missing when i ran from the dragons, disappeared when i started getting the hang of the game, and i never really bat an eye until i was at the half finished house and several dragons spawned in to attack me (i always fast traveled and that kind of triggered a dragon to always spawn whenever i got to the house) and was constantly screaming for her because i was low level and had no idea what i was doing.
“LYDIA WHERE DID YOUR SWORN TO CARRY MY BURDENS ASS GO IM GETTING FLAMED ALIVE IN FRONT OF A DEAD MUDCRAB!”
anyways
she also was there for when i became thane of falkreath and followed me when i painstakingly tried to figure out who i was supposed to do quests for to become thane.
i remember going into some sort of cave to find a journal for the priest of arkay only for it to be infested with the draugr (my sworn enemies at the time because they freaked me out) and she ended up getting locked out of the boss fight.
she got stuck behind a door while i sniped those idiots from a distance and somehow did not get spotted.
anyways, after building up all the wings for Lakeview (with spotty interior decor) we went to a mine so i could get a bunch of iron because i needed nails and hinges for my basement.
we finally get home and of course—a dragon decides to attack. again.
and i’m fighting for my life here, trying not to die and reload my quick save from literal hours ago.
and lydia thinks this is the perfect time to ask to be my steward.
with fire literally raining down from the heavens, burning my character alive, i hastily say yes without even realizing what she was asking for, and go into the offensive to put down this habanero lizard and steal its soul. classic hot girl shit.
she, me, and rayya (the housecarl you get when becoming thane of falkreath) fight this damn thing and kill it within literal minutes (i felt so proud of myself for not struggling during this fight.)
me later realizing i don’t have a follower behind me anymore when i fast travel to falkreath to buy more building materials for my house. the entire time i was wondering if Lydia glitched again (she got stuck behind a wall in ustengrav before and during that fetch quest for that one priest so i decided i would backtrack once i finished buying building materials to furnish my house.)
i teleport back to my house and almost immediately see lydia walk around like she owned the place. it was then i realized she wasn’t my follower anymore, and i assumed that my game had indeed glitched so i go up to her to see what the problem is or to recruit her again.
que lydias talk screen having the options to decorate my house when i talk to her, and i realize what happened. i immediately have second thoughts when i hear how happy she is about being my Steward and i feel guilty for wanting her as a follower again. so i just leave her there along with like 15k gold to furnish my house.
i also have a housecarl as mentioned before: rayya. and as i’m playing (and marrying some lass from riverwood for the money and literally nothing else because i was DESPERATE to have the house fully furnished.)
i eventually realized it was a bit odd that there where three women living in one house under one roof along side two kids and a husky and other small creature. (it was either a rat, bunny, or mud crab i do not remember.)
que me replaying this character a several more times and keeping up the tradition of having Lydia as a steward for Lakeview and Rayya as another household member but never adopt any kids or marry again because i’m now a master at scamming vendors in the game. plus the kids were annoying, and always ungrateful, and always asking for cash or gifts (none of which they were ever grateful for).
as the years progress i grow attached to my character and start creating a small story for him because we have a lot of history and i got attached.
i’m then wondering how i would explain Lydia and Rayya.
it hits me.
lesbians.
they’re married and employed by a really cool landlord who also happens to be the prophesied savior of the world.
they simply live out their years in a big house with the best scenery and local necromancer to keep them company. once tasked to follow and guard a guy who could yell really loud, now living out in the woods with an early retirement.
now in my head they are married and live in the big ass house with a cool husky, some chickens, a cow, carriage, horse, bard, and the occasional giant on its way to absolutely murder the chickens and cow whenever he stops by. classic cottagecore—warrior—lesbian story.
que me going through the house to see if there would be enough beds for everyone.
minus the one in the wing i used to create a primary bedroom, there’s another bed for two people upstairs. in my mind that bed is theirs and they’re married
lydia kept one of my amulets of mara my first play through when i agreed to let her be my steward (she kept a lot of my stuff, and i was unable to get it back because i felt too guilty taking the one thing she seemed to like). ((also i tried pickpocketing her but failed every single time)).
i grow genuinely attached to this idea and can never keep Lydia as a companion when it comes to getting my house furnished and feel a sense of pride when i’m reuniting her with her one true love.
anyways, that’s the story of how i came to love two completely unrelated characters and no one will understand my attachment to them. i love them so much and want them to be happy.
they’re married, idc

Can I request headcanons for ralof and hadvar (separately) in a relationship with the dragonborn?
These boys always need some love!
Ralof:
Once in an official relationship Ralof will gift the Dragonborn a necklace, a symbol of their love. He will request them to wear it so that no matter how far apart they are they’ll always be together. Ralof got a matching set and wears one himself, often holding it when he and the Dragonborn are separated.
He loves to be close to Dragonborn and get as much physical contact as he can. He’ll hug them, hold their hand, brush their cheek. Anything and everything, he just cannot get enough of the Dragonborn and wants to touch them all the time. His favorite past time is laying in bed with the Dragonborn, running his fingers gently over their skin.
His favorite type of hugs are big bear hugs where he’ll just crush the Dragonborn into him.
Once the war is over, he wants to build the Dragonborn a house, somewhere to raise a family (preferably not in the snow). He wants lots of children so is planning on it being a large house.
He understands the Dragonborn is a very busy and powerful person, and that they need to leave often and for long periods of time. But Ralof misses the Dragonborn and wishes they could stay with him instead. Although he’ll never say anything. He would never stop the Dragonborn from their destiny. He will wait for them to return and just ambush them with love when they do.
He tries to make their home nice a presentable for the Dragonborn’s return. He cleans, make sure the kids are taken care of, and tries to cook a meal for the Dragonborn. But he is a terrible cook, the most he can make is just cooking a piece of meat. But the Dragonborn will still eat it no matter what.
Really good at hair. If Dragonborn wants a new hairstyle or wants it all in plaits, Ralof will rush to their side and produce a beautiful new hairdo.
He likes to show off his strength by just picking up the Dragonborn and carrying them around. He loves it because he gets to hear the Dragonborn laugh and he gets to be close to them.
He is a jealous type. If the Dragonborn has a follower that is not him he will feel very jealous and not be happy about it. He will tell the Dragonborn how he feels and hopes they will lose the follower. Ralof wants to be the only person in the Dragonborn's life.
He's a great singer and will often sing love songs to the Dragonborn. If the Dragonborn is away, he will sing or hum 'The Dragonborn comes' until they return.
Hadvar:
He isn’t the type for public PDA he thinks affection should be kept to private areas. But once the Dragonborn is alone with Hadvar he goes all out on showing affection. He will cuddle, kiss and caress like there is no tomorrow.
He feels so guilty that he almost sent Dragonborn to their death when they first met. He knows it wasn’t really his decision but he still feels like he should have fought harder to save the Dragonborn at that time, so he spends so much time trying to make up for that fact. Most often he does this by telling the Dragonborn how much he loves them and how he thanks the gods every day for them, and says how lucky he is to have them in his life.
He loves to give the Dragonborn gifts. He tries to give them flowers everyday but he’ll also gift them clothes, jewelry, or special armor he got made to keep them safe on their travels.
After the war he wants the Dragonborn to live with him in Riverwood where they will get married and build a house together. He’d like to have children but two are his max.
He knows the Dragonborn is very busy, but he will often voice how much he wants them to stay. He hates how long they are gone, and tells the Dragonborn he wishes they would stay or at least come back more often.
Hadvar is a brilliant cook. He always has something new and delicious for the Dragonborn to try when they are home.
When the Dragonborn comes back from a long trip Hadvar will embrace them in a hug first, then pull back enough so he can rest his forehead upon theirs and whisper how much he missed them.
He is the first to wake up. But he’ll always stay in bed with Dragonborn and just enjoy their embrace, he tries to enjoy as much of their presence as he can before they leave. Then after the Dragonborn wakes up he will make them a filling breakfast to start the day.
He does not get jealous. He knows the Dragonborn loves him. If the Dragonborn brings a follower home, Hadvar will welcome them in and ask them to stay for dinner.
He likes to write and will often write letters and love poems for the Dragonborn then send them via courier. He hopes his words will bring comfort and joy to the Dragonborn while they are on their travels.

My personal headcanon is that Spinner is a big fan of retro games.
When he was younger he could buy them at pawnshops and he didn't need the newest console or expensive computer to play them. He's also the person to give you an hour-long lecture about their influence on different genres.
Now he of course gets excited about every new release, but his comfort games still are Super Mario Bros or Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Rizah: *getting into bed with Caryalind*
Caryalind: Wait! You forgot to put on protection.
Rizah: Oh! Sorry my sweet. *opens bedside drawer* Want to help me put them on? *holds up his leather shoulder covers*
Caraylind: Sure, turn around I'll get the buckles.
Rizah: *gets into bed with Caryalind snuggles into him now with his venomous shoulder spines covered* Good night Cary.
Caryalind: *kisses Rizah on the forehead* Good night Riz.
-
Maormer are immune to each others venom, Rizah would feel so bad if he accidentally envenomated Cary even if it only causes temporary paralysis.
I got the idea to make Rizah a runaway prince too, I think it's fun.
I imagine them meeting after Caryalind notices he's being watched more and flees Solitude on a row boat, he gets pulled out from far from shore by a riptide and is stranded in the sea of ghosts. But Rizah come across him and tows back to shore.

It's so cool that you're still accepting asks, if you don't mind, I'm gonna send multiple.
First, can I get Ancano, Erandur, Etienne Rarnis, Gelebor, Marcurio, Erik the Slayer, and whoever else you want to thow in's reactions to a Khajiit Dragonborn purring? I'm willing to bet that at least some of them have never encountered it before.
Oh, I love this~.
Ancano: As Ancano walked past the dormitories, his ears couldn't help but pick up an unusual sound. It wasn't snoring, but it sounded peaceful. He poked his head into the newest student's room to investigate only to find them completely asleep, but the sound was most definitely coming from them. He quickly and quietly moved to the side of their bed, leaning down ever so slightly to listen more carefully only to realize they were... Purring? He didn't know Khajiit could do that. He briskly strode away insisting to his own self that definitely wasn't adorable. Not in the slightest.
Erandur: He had just finished having a very fulfilling and inspiring conversation with the Dragonborn, one that had seemed to lift their spirits up high, if the sound of purring was any indicator of their mood. He wasn't sure if they knew they were doing it or not, but he wasn't about to spoil it for either of them. In truth, simply the sound of their contentment made him feel better in turn by miles.
Erik: The Dragonborn sat with their back to Erik as they warmed themselves by the fire, chatting idly with the townsfolk, sharing stories of their adventures, and things like that throughout the night. The group of people had slowly begun to dissipate as it got later into the night, eventually leaving just the two of them. Erik was proud of his teacher, but their cat-like ways piqued his curiosity constantly. Trapped in his thoughts, he absent-mindedly reached out to pet and scratch just behind their ears. Their purring snapped him out of his thoughts and he retracted his hand with a quick "Sorry!", but his wrist was snatched as they placed his hand back behind their ears. Well, they seemed to like it. And the purring was cute, but he would never admit that.
Etienne: "I bet you ten Septims I can make them purr, literally." Niruin elbowed Etienne as he spoke. "No way. Khajiit don't purr, I don't think. And besides, what would you even do? Pet them? The last time Brynjolf tried that joke, he was swiftly scratched. His arm took at least a week to heal." "That's why I'm not petting them. Do we have a deal or not?" "Fine. Easiest ten Septims of my life, plus free entertainment. Go ahead." Etienne shrugged as he leaned on the wall behind him. He watched as Niruin approached them, starting with what seemed like flirting, and he watched as their tail began to sway. They seemed uninterested, but amusing Niruin nonetheless. Until their ears went completely flat against their skull and hissed at him, startling Niruin back into Rune, who swiftly pushed him into the water with his elbow. Etienne took his chance to walk past the Dragonborn and place a hand on their shoulder. They began a hiss, quickly stopping when they realized who it was and began to purr. Niruin sat on the edge of the cistern with his jaw on the floor.
Gelebor: Contentment was Gelebor's natural state, and he very easily afflicted others' temperaments to be the same. Hence his lack of reaction when the Dragonborn, who was sitting there studying their spells, began to purr. Serana looked back and forth between him and the Dragonborn in shock, even trying to point out the Dragonborn's new behavior silently to him as he merely chuckled and returned to his book.
Marcurio: He was trying to sleep. Really, he was. But the purring fluff ball in the bedroll next to him was keeping him awake. Sure, he could sleep out in the wilderness and tolerate the distant and fairly consistent sound of crickets, with the occasional branch snapping under a woodland creature's weight. But they were just so loud, he thought himself in a Dwemer ruin with all of the machinery running. He had two options; he could learn to like the sound, or stay up all night. He sighed as he got up to make himself tea.

I think Angolben and Allaandial would go out of their way to make special foods for Dovundrus so he can be included. Like I think Angoldben would make blood based sauces for him and Allaandial would make some kind of blood based wines for him.
Furthermore I think Allaandial is supper into baking and loves making fun pies for his daughter and friends. Angolben is: incapable of cooking so they use their alchemy skills to make sauces. Dovundrus: does not eat food but he will hunt for the crew. (In my brain vampires can drink animal blood to but it’s not as good)
