noticing a pattern in my writing/OCs of 'monster that preys on people pretending to be human/human-adjacent'. i mean it's not the first time i've noticed but i've been thinking about three of them recently so like. a pattern.

the fiancée and i discussing how jewish law would be applied to the christian baby being pitched in a baseball game fallacy. typical friday night activities.
#skylar talks#one of the most absurd thought experiments i have ever done#arguing that the pitcher would be violating jewish law for throwing the baby to the batter and not the batter#because the batter has way less reaction time and jewish law dictates that the pitcher should inspect thoroughly what he was throwing#before throwing it and therefore his inability to account for that before throwing would make him violating jewish law#UNLESS there was a secret third party telling him that they will kill him unless he throws whatever is given to him#in which case the third party would be the only one violating jewish law because the pitcher is doing this to protect himself#which jewish law dictates that he should and he may not know he is going to be throwing a baby in that scenario#however one could argue he still has a duty to disobey if he finds out but nonetheless the third party would still be at most in violation#but nevertheless the batter would almost never be in violation of jewish law because he would almost certainly not have time to react#and would have no reason to suspect that he might be being thrown a baby and is not in the position to consider that#... i need sleep
