BUT LIKE A little Life is so ATYD coded? 4 guys becoming best friends in school with one of them suffering from injuries and mysterious scars. His best friend slowly discovering his dark past and getting closer to him until they fall in love. The miserable but somehow kind of happy main character end up losing his best friend, the love and purpose of his life in a tragic way. He then will die a few years after, finally attaining peace.

Mauraders in A Little Life?

im reading a little life for the first time and I'm getting major marauders vibes.

jude is giving Remus with his leg problems and idk I think willem is giving either Sirius or James I'm not sure which, probably both tho.

I think that when Davos admits that he has no chance with Daenys, and never really did, he should not seek to be her sworn knight. Because that could lead to malicious comments about Daenys and her future children with Cregan, based on Rhaenyra's history of having an affair with her sworn knight.

For me Davos has two possible life alternatives: 1. I feel that Davos is like Sirius Black: a person so rebel, fearless and bold that he will never marry. He may be curious, but he will never concrete anything with anyone because he knows that kind of life is not for him. Honestly, I see Davos as that family friend the kids call 'uncle', even though he's not really. He's the one who shows up at end-of-year parties or important celebrations, because he's almost never at home, he's always traveling, and every time he comes back from his travels, he brings incredible anecdotes and lots of nice gifts for the kids.

2. As another anonymous said, joining the Night's Watch and, at some point in the future, becoming their Lord Commander seems like the ideal destination for Davos. He looks like someone who constantly needs action and challenges so fighting the wildlings would be perfect for him. Also, it seems obvious to me that Davos would pee over the edge of the Wall, like Tyrion did in the series.”

For that first one, could be a Queensguard/Kingsguard? Lives in King's Landing, so the kids and Creanys would visit HIM on special occasions and still keep their bond.

I don't think he'd join the Watch personally. Maybe cause he still loves his family and they live past the war. Aly, Benji, Willem, are all good reasons to stay even if he never marries. He would def piss over the wall tho so real

The Marauders in A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara:

Jude - Remus | physically disabled, orphaned/abandoned/abused as kids, sweet kind souls that refuse to see their own self-worth, driven and ruthless, handsome without ever acknowledging it

Willem - James | the hearts of each group, charismatic effortless charmers, so wholly loved, care about making sure everyone feels included, seen for who they are on the surface and how they service others vs. their deeper personhood

Malcolm - Peter | the calm grounded steady ones, a bit wayward without clear direction, steadfast friends that get a bit lost in the fray

JB - Sirius | chaotic good, the envious possessive fierce friend, creative, passionate in all aspects of life, strong will to prove themselves to others, acts with their emotions first, guilt-driven

I struggled between this version or having Sirius as Willem, James as Malcolm, and Peter as JB (Remus IS Jude). I think there’s something that clicks with this second option that is also really intriguing, but the Remus/James dynamic and the fact that Willem/James and JB/Sirius fits so beautifully is too accurate to pass up. I think having multiple versions that would 100% work speaks to both of these group dynamics as incredible depictions of genuine, to the bone, friendship.

my heart is breaking just thinking about the angst and betrayal and utterly gut-wrenching pain of recreating Hanya’s story with our boys. i honestly don’t think i’d survive it as a writer, but the angst is calling my name in a tempting way.

Guys I’m about to start “part 5: the happy years” in a little life and I’m too scared. In my head icl I’ve been replacing Jude with Remus, Willem with Sirius, Malcolm with James, and JB with Pete… it makes reading it so much more painful. But fr someone a) needs to write a marauders little life AU because the whole book is literally marauder coded, and B) write me a little life with a HAPPY ending because I don’t know how I’m going to survive at the end of this.

Se declaró un incendio en la sala de máquinas, y parte del sistema de propulsión quedó destruido. La reparación en un astillero profesional costaría alrededor de seis meses y 650.000 dólares. Ante semejante perspectiva, Sawyer y su grupo llevaron el barco a Stonington, Maine, donde realizaron el trabajo ellos mismos por mucho menos dinero y en la mitad de tiempo. «Al final teníamos un barco un poco más rápido y con dos veces más autonomía y capacidad de maniobra», comenta Sawyer. En dique seco los miembros de Greenpeace ahorraron tiempo y dinero encargándose ellos mismos de reparar el Rainbow Warrior.

Acción internacional

En 1981, Greenpeace bullía de actividad. Las protestas se multiplicaron por todo el globo, y en el curso del año se realizaron alrededor de medio centenar de acciones en apoyo de un número de campañas cada vez mayor.

Los activistas de Greenpeace de Cherburgo ocuparon unas grúas para impedir la carga y descarga de combustible nuclear agotado en Tacoma, Washington, escalaron una chimenea de 170 metros de altura para protestar contra la lluvia ácida. En Europa fueron particularmente espectaculares las acciones contra los barcos encargados de verter residuos nucleares; en este terreno, el Sirius fue la principal estrella. El barco dejó el astillero el 13 de julio, y partió hacia el sur para enfrentarse con el Gem en el vertedero UKAEA, situado a 600 millas (1.000 km) al suroeste de Finisterre (Cornualles). En este viaje de protesta contra los vertidos, Greenpeace trató de capturar uno de los barriles de tres toneladas en una balsa hinchable vacía para llevarlo a tierra y analizarlo. The actor gave an in-depth look into the work behind the vampire’s haunting sound during an exclusive SiriusXM Town Hall.

“I love voice work in general for every character,” he explained to Radio Andy hosts Jess Cagle and Julia Cunningham. “I just think it’s fun. It’s just a part of acting that I’m really drawn towards, and I knew that with this one, it would be in particular very important because there’s a lot of dialogue.”

For Nosferatu’s voice, this meant working with an opera singer, taking hundreds of recordings, playing with microphone distance, larynx massages, breath work, vocal exercises, and even Mongolian throat singing.
