Elissa looked across the desk at her oldest daughter, who was partially hidden behind her computer screen. “This has to do with Lucas, doesn’t it?” She asked.

“Yes.” Ana replied, glancing back at her computer screen, watching more emails fly into her inbox. 

“You’ll have a father.” Elissa began. “Kris and Cece will have a grandfather and-”

Ana cut her off. “That title is for Douxie and I to discuss.”

Elissa frowned. “But-”

Ana shook her head. “ No. I have, however, spoken to Parliament, because I’m unsure as to how this would work.”

“ You’re not going to stop me?”

Ana shook her head. Her and her siblings weren’t thrilled with the decision, but knew it wasn’t theirs to make in the end. “I- no. It’s your decision and I respect that. Anyway, when you marry Lucas, you will lose the title of ‘Her Majesty.’”

Elissa blinked at her daughter in confusion. “You’re joking.”

Ana bit her lip. “I’m not. When you marry him, you’ll stop being Her Majesty, Elissa, the Queen Dowager. The Prime Minister and I, alongside other members of Parliament, agreed that you’ll be ‘Her Royal Highness, Princess Elissa Munch, the Queen Dowager.’”

“You can’t be serious.”

“I’m just telling you what Parliament told me.” 

Elissa’s frown deepened. “Well, go back and tell Parliament that they’re wrong and don’t know what they’re talking about. There’s no precedent for them to base it off of.” 

Ana almost touched her necklace before she realized that it wasn’t there as she said, “Crown Princess Louise.” 

Elissa rolled her eyes. “She was Crown Princess. I was the Queen. There’s a distinct difference between the two.” 

Ana nodded in agreement. “Yes, there is. But Parliament chose to follow the precedent established for Crown Princess Louise.” 

“Then make them change their minds.” 

Ana scoffed. “Have you tried to change Peter Gathen’s mind about anything?” 

“He’s your ex.”

She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, and he was and is a piece of shit. There’s a reason he’s my ex.” 

Elissa glared at her. “Anastasia.”

Ana sighed and rolled her eyes again. “What? I’m almost 30 years old, married with two young children, I  think I’m allowed to curse. If you want to argue your case to them, you are more than welcome to, but I’ve done literally all I’m legally allowed to do in this case.”

Maria: I didn't fly, or take the train. I chose to drive

She is also wearing the famous diamond necklace of Queen Marie-Antoinette. A curious choice, considering the tumultuous history associated with this piece, but it remains spectacular nonetheless. If my memory serves me right, this necklace is composed of 650 diamonds. (Another journalist) Yes, about 2800 carats in total. Their Majesties appear to be in exceptional form. Our colleagues at the Palais des Tuileries this morning reported that the emperor was particularly cheerful.

(Stéphane Bernard) Yes, a lot of emotions will affect him today. Right now, before our eyes, he is still a secular figure like all of us. But when he takes his oath to the French People shortly, he will no longer be the same man. Numerous rites will transform this private individual into a mystical figure: the Emperor. (Stéphane Bernard) Absolutely. The imperial procession recently passed the Palais Royal, which was once the seat of the Tribunat during the Empire. Today, this iconic place houses the Ministry of Culture as well as the Constitutional Council. Now, the procession is about to cross the Pont-Neuf to reach the cathedral through the grand west entrance. À présent, le cortège s'apprête à traverser le Pont-Neuf pour rejoindre la cathédrale par la grande porte ouest. En ce jour sacré, le couple impérial est le seul à avoir l'honneur d'entrer par cette majestueuse entrée. Les invités, quant à eux, accèdent à la cathédrale par la façade nord.

The Royal Family Hosts Diplomatic Reception!

The senior members of the Royal Family have gathered at Nimben Palace for the annual Diplomatic Reception, held every June by the Queen and Prince Consort (pictured above).

In attendance, traditionally, are the senior members of the Royal Family. This year, the list included the Duke and Duchess of Exeter, the Earl and Countess of Betancourt, the Princes Charles, Robert and Benjamin, Princess Alice (attending for the first time!), the Viscount and Viscountess Angers, the Viscount and Viscountess de Vanily, Princess Katherine (attending for the first time in over a decade!), the Duchess of Carlisle, Lord Sebastian Carlisle, the Duke and Duchess of Asbury, the Earl of Barre and Lady Beatrice Asbury.

Also in attendance were Lord Nicodemo and his new husband, William Samson, although the couple made it clear that they were attending as charity representatives and LGBTQIA+ activists, not as part of the Royal Family, thus they were not included on the walk into the reception hall.

Notably absent this year was the Queen Dowager, who's private secretary released a statement saying that:

"Her Majesty, the Queen Dowager is not feeling well this evening and does not wish to get other members of her family, especially those with young children, sick. Her Majesty is doing well and will attend her engagement tomorrow night at Faircourt Hall."

Also not in attendance were Lord Chandler, the third son of the late Princess Isabel; Lady Alexandra, Princess Katherine's youngest child; and Lord Anton and Lady Leonora, the Duke and Duchess of Asbury's youngest two children.

The rest of the Royal Family is expected to gather at some point within the next few weeks for the christening of Princess Emilia of Exeter, although this remains unconfirmed both by palace sources and the family.

I had them sit next to each other to try and compare their faces. They are using different nose masks so its a little tricky to really know if their noses match or not. I only really see a difference in their upper lips but otherwise they look almost identical.

The return button from the stats menu has been removed as clicking on it to go back to a passage would make it as if the player was accessing the passage again, thus adding or removing more points than meant to, to return to the game from the stats menu it will be required to click on the back button arrow at the top of the menu (<-)

DEVLOG: Chapter 3 got too long, so it was divided at the half mark, meaning it must be aproximately as long as chapter 2 but also that part of chapter 4 has already been written.
