#Silco for all his faults did love jinx

Also gonna add on here that I have complete faith that Caitlyn will see the error of her ways despite her anger, pain, and the manipulation of Ambessa.
The way Caitlyn was set up in season 1— a character with a lot of empathy that wanted to help once she saw the harm Piltover was causing— makes this an inevitability for me.
She’s being manipulated in her most vulnerable state like Jinx was. And I think that’s entirely intentional. Caitlyn seems like she might be a foil to season 1 Jinx in a lot of ways— grieving the loss of a parental figure, manipulated by someone in a position of power, and having lost Vi (they seem to be separated for at least part of the season)— and like Jinx we know she has the capacity to be better (like it seems Jinx will become this season). I’m scared and excited for this arc.
With how heavily Caitlyn’s arc is being highlighted in promotional material and the fact that she’s going to seemingly carry the Piltover half of the story this season it looks like she’s being set up to be a tritagonist of sorts. And I for one could not be happier.
#not to say ambessa’s manipulation is like Silco’s#Silco for all his faults did love jinx#but he manipulated her#convincing her he was#the only one who loved her#and turning her against vi#this is why I’m so sure jinx#and vi can fix things#this season#because I have no doubt that without#Silco’s manipulation#jinx and Vi could have worked#things out in season 1#Ambessa just clearly wants power and control#she thinks she can get both through Caitlyn#because she already failed to through Mel#she’s a wolf#trying to masquerade as a lion#an arbiter of protection and justice#can’t wait for season 2#arcane emotionally destroyed me#arcane netflix#also Caitlyn likely feels responsible#for her mother’s death#she had the shot#could have stopped her#but pulled herself back#there’s gotta be a lot of guilt#again like Jinx

Jayce telling vi she won't make it on her own.... okay mr. projector...
#viktor just turned his body into the arcane and you dont even know!!! his leg is purple!!!!#im not going to excuse vi for saying the kid knew what he was getting into bc he didn't bc he is a kid (here we have ms. projector)#but telling jayce he has always been complicit of this he just didnt have to see it... yeah exactly.#and like she obviousky regrets the kid dying but it was jayces fault lmao why does he blow up on her??? the name calling got to him#jayce thinking omg he is going to off himself and viktor just trying to hide the evidence of his murder akdhsksj well yes he does want to...#i was wondering why the council was so Flabbergasted about the nation of zaun?? like they dont care and basically dont intervene#in the undercity bc they don't have any interest or profit in there. they don't gain anything at all from there.#so of course when silco asks jayce says sure fuck it. the only thing the council needs from zaun is the gemstone and its not even theirs#it's probably just fear of agression towards piltover as another nation and not something they can control or repress#silcos reaction to cait being wheeled in akdhaksj it sounds like he said 'what' he probably didnt know the girlfriend part... understandable#i forgor about her bringing the platter out... like ofc i didnt forget it but i didnt see it coming there. with bad memory you can be#surprised every time you watch the same show 👍🏻#i haven't cried because well the foruth time is a stretch now to cry but i still got chills at the end with the missile impacting....#and like whay would have happened if cait didn't free herself.... like ofc she would have bc everyone in that room could have killed her#not vi etc etc but she did just leave her so who knows really#anyways the monsters appearing in jinxs vision when vi mentions her past family is so poignant to her change.... they dont have the intended#reaction vi meant.... and silco is trying to shut her up for jinx's sake and look what happened to him. like vi really couldn't understand#her sister now and maybe back then either.... like not to be a silco apologist but it seems like he was the only one who could handle her#maybe im exaggerating but it would have gone wrong either way i think like no matger how much love there is in between them#idk man its so bad. like maybe this could have been avoided but it would have gone wrong in a different way for sure#and this couldn't have been avoided#talking tag#watching arcane#three weeks away still.... what now....

hi!! i love your writing! i was wondering if you could do how arcane characters would react to their partner looking really good??
OMG YES, LET’S GO. You’re serving looks, and these characters are LOSING it.
Jinx
Jinx is walking into the room, probably rambling about some crazy plan she has to blow something up, but then she sees you. Full stop. Like, rewind sound effects stop. Her jaw drops, her eyes go wide, and she’s just standing there with a completely dumbfounded look on her face.
“WHO LET YOU LOOK LIKE THAT?!” she yells, pointing at you like it’s your fault. And then, without waiting for an answer, she’s giggling and spinning around you like a little tornado, tugging at your outfit and gushing about how good you look. But it’s Jinx, so she’ll probably throw in something like:
“I could never wear that—I’d blow it up in five minutes. BUT YOU?! You’re, like, my shiny bombshell baby now!”
Vi
Okay, so Vi acts all tough and cool, right? But when she sees you? Girl is GONE. She leans back in her chair, smirks, and tries to play it cool.
“Damn, babe, where’s the fire? Oh wait—it’s YOU.”
She totally thinks she’s being smooth, but her ears are turning red, and she cannot stop staring. She’ll make some excuse to touch you, too, like fixing a stray hair or adjusting your jacket, just so she can get a closer look.
“You’re killin’ me here,” she mutters under her breath, and yeah, she’s absolutely whipped.
Sevika
You walk into the bar looking too good, and Sevika’s mid-drink when she sees you. She chokes. Like, literally sputters into her glass because she was NOT READY. She tries to recover, clears her throat, and narrows her eyes at you like you did this on purpose.
“Alright, who are you trying to impress?” she teases, but her voice is all low and growly, and she’s totally jealous of anyone else who gets to see you looking like this.
If you’re lucky, she’ll slide an arm around your waist and pull you close, her mechanical arm whirring a little as she leans in to murmur, “You keep lookin’ like that, I’m gonna have to start a fight just to keep people’s eyes off you.”
Silco
Silco’s usually composed, right? All cold, calculating power. But when he sees you, he goes silent. Like, dead silent. His heterochromatic eyes narrow just slightly, and you can tell he’s looking you over, taking in everything.
“Impressive,” he finally says, his voice smooth but with just enough edge to send a shiver down your spine. He doesn’t say more because he knows you know exactly what he’s thinking, but the way his hand lingers on your arm when he passes you? Yeah, you’ve officially ruined his ability to focus for the rest of the day.
Vander
Vander is polishing a glass behind the bar when you walk in, and the man literally freezes. The glass slips from his hand, clattering onto the counter, and for a moment, he’s just staring at you with this big, goofy grin on his face.
“Look at you,” he says, his voice all warm and soft, like he can’t believe his luck. He’s not one to gush, but you’ll catch him sneaking glances at you all night, shaking his head like, How did I get so lucky?
And when you catch him staring, he’ll just laugh and say, “Can you blame me?”
Ekko
Ekko’s mid-sentence when you walk in, and he just stops talking. Like, whatever he was saying? Gone. Deleted. Replaced by you.
“Uh…damn.” He runs a hand through his hair, trying to figure out what to do with himself, because holy crap, you’re stunning. “Okay, but why are you trying to flex on me like this?”
He’ll pretend to pout for like two seconds before breaking into this huge grin and pulling you into a quick spin. “You look incredible. Seriously. You’re making it really hard for me to focus.”
Jayce
Jayce is a talker, so the moment he sees you, he’s throwing out compliments like confetti.
“Wow. Just…wow. Is this legal? You’re stunning. Gorgeous. Breathtaking. Should I keep going? Because I could keep going.”
He’s like a golden retriever, so excited and genuinely in awe, and he’ll definitely try to take like 50 pictures of you, “for science,” but really just because he can’t get over how good you look.
Viktor
Oh, Viktor is a mess. Like, full-on short-circuiting. He notices you immediately, but he’s so shy about it, he pretends to be focused on his work, even though the pen in his hand is hovering three inches above the page.
“You, uh…you look very nice,” he finally mumbles, his face going completely red. But when you catch him staring (because he’s DEFINITELY staring), he’ll push up his glasses and awkwardly add, “I mean, you always do, but tonight, especially…uh…”
Just kiss him already. The poor man can’t handle it.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn’s the type to notice right away but say nothing—at first. She’ll just smile, that soft little oh, you’ve outdone yourself this time smile, and let you catch her admiring you.
“You look incredible,” she says, her voice calm but with just enough warmth to make your cheeks burn. She’ll offer you her arm, all proper and elegant, and lead you into whatever event you’re attending, acting like it’s your moment to shine.
But don’t let her fool you. Inside, she’s absolutely glowing.
Mel Medarda
Mel is a queen, and she acts like one. So when she sees you, she doesn’t react immediately. No, she takes her time looking you over, a sly smile playing on her lips.
“You’re stunning,” she purrs, her voice dripping with admiration. “But then, I’d expect nothing less from you.”
She’s totally the type to dress even better next time just so you two can be the most powerful, glamorous couple in the room.
Ambessa Medarda
Ambessa doesn’t do subtle. The moment she sees you, she lets out this low, appreciative hum, her eyes gleaming with approval.
“You’ve outdone yourself,” she says, stepping closer, her presence almost overwhelming. “It’s…intoxicating.”
She’ll rest a hand on your shoulder, her grip firm but affectionate, and you can feel the pride radiating off her. She knows everyone else is looking at you, and she loves it.
Heimerdinger
“Oh, my stars! My dear, you look absolutely radiant!”
Heimerdinger’s ears perk up, and his little mustache twitches with excitement. He’ll walk around you in circles, marveling at your outfit and making a bunch of overly enthusiastic comments about the “design work” and “craftsmanship,” even if it’s just a plain dress.
“You must let me take a closer look at this fabric—it’s magnificent!”
It’s adorable, really.
Salo
Salo’s not one to gush, but he’ll give you this small, approving nod when he sees you.
“You clean up well,” he says, his tone casual but with just enough edge to let you know he’s impressed.
If you’re lucky, you might catch him stealing a glance at you when he thinks you’re not looking.
Scar
Scar sees you and immediately whistles low under his breath.
“Well, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes,” he says, his grin all crooked and playful. “What’s the occasion, doll?”
He’ll definitely tease you, but you can tell he’s really into it by the way he keeps sneaking closer, like he just can’t help himself.
Maddie Nolen
Maddie is blunt, so when she sees you, she just blurts it out:
“Damn, you look good.”
She doesn’t sugarcoat it, doesn’t make it a big thing. But the way her gaze lingers a little too long? Yeah, she’s head over heels.
Lest
Lest is normally composed, but the moment she sees you, she falters.
“You look…” she pauses, searching for the right word, and then just gives up with a little smile. “Amazing.”
It’s simple, but the way she looks at you? Like you’ve hung the moon? That says it all.

can I talk about something real quick?
I hate how 99% of arcane fans completely Ignore their favorite character's flaws so much. I know this has been complained about multiple times but i genuinely get so tired of it and physically need to turn off my phone when that happens.
And Im not talking about Jinx, everyone knows she's not a great person, neither am I talking about silco or Sevika or quite literally any of the characters that are placed on the darker shade of grey.
Im talking about characters like Viktor or Mel or Jayce, Vi & Caitlyn aswell, but specifically the first three.
Look, we all know what their intentions are, they only wanted to help, they wanted the best for their cities/family and their goals, but the way they do it is Flawed. The sacrifices and nuance they go through and do just to achieve that specific ideal and goal affects how morally ambiguous or not they are.
What annoys me is that most of these people KNOW, but refuse to accept it and continue bringing down other characters because they refuse to accept there's different opinions over something in the show.
Especially with viktor, he is NAUNCED. He is selfish one way or another, he is willing to destroy himself for the sake of making something too far gone work, and not only did that destroy him, but completely result in the death of Sky. And eventually, that is going to destroy his relationship with Jayce too. He refuses to create weapons even if it means as a tool for self defence because he refuses to accept that zaun is not the most stable in terms of aggression, he got mad at Jayce for calling them dangerous when there was a literal riot on the bridge, a scene playing right infront of his eyes. Again, he is rightful to feel protective of his home, but he is ignorant towards certain things too.
I see so many people ignore viktors flaws and wrong doings, did we forget who he's going to become next season or what?? He literally committed a murder wether he wanted to do it or not. which is lowkey kinda hilarious because I don't see people defending Jayce for murdering that child despite the fact that its equally as wrong as Viktors mishap. He.is.not.flawless.
Mel, oh my god. i love Mel with all my heart, shes my everything, but she is a councilor. yes she's focusing on proving her family wrong, yes she wants to make piltover a better, safer place, and I don't think she's completely ignorant towards the undercity's state, but what has she done about it? Now, its not entirely her fault, I know, its all accumulated from Himerdingers ignorance, but that does not change the fact that she is apart of the same body that kept the undercity in its current state with all its problems for generations. She is a manipulator too, she wants things to go her way, wether it was with good intent or not. She pushed for weapons, YES, as a means of self defense, YES as protection from external threats coming from places other than P&Z, but her mother wasn't completely wrong about how weapons will always be used in every way possible, but she finds it difficult to accept such fact. Not to mention the fact that she literally told a zaunite to create a weapon that would be used against zaun.
So no, her being manipulative is not hot (this literally pisses me off the most) , especially not after that scene with hoskel because she BASICALLY called him stupid and belittled him indirectly. Is it true hes not the smartest? Yeah, did she do it to get him under her palm and ended up using him to do something "Good" in the end? Yeah, Is she good at doing it? Yeah, does she look good while doing it? Yeah, but she looks good ALL THE TIME. Manipulation is not what makes her attractive, its a FLAW, an ugly one. So calling Mel attractive ONLY because she's manipulative is mischaracterization at its finest. And I will bring this point again, separate intention from action.
I don't want to get into more details about mel, I will lose myself, but she is FLAWED, shes morally grey, she isn't perfect, just as the other characters in the whole show.
Jayce, he goes through multiple extreme points during his arc, he's quick to decide on things. At some points it could be a good thing, like how he apologized to viktor for saying harsh words to him. But what his major flaw with this trait is the fact that he goes between violent and peaceful multiple times, figuratively AND literally. He was settled with the fact that he doesn't want to harm zaun, infact, he wanted to help them in the first place, but he got influenced, and ended up resorting to violence, he lost himself, and it ended with the loss of a child's life. He didn't want to make weapons before, got influenced, look where it got him now? He is selfish too, and the list goes on.
Though, Its rare to find people who defend Mel and Jayce in this entire fandom, most of the people I've seen who claim to be fans of them tend to do this all the time smh.
And I just know I will start a war as soon as I open my mouth to talk about Vi & Cait. Which is why I won't because this post is long enough and I want to cover other things.
Please keep in mind that I wrote everything as flatly as possible, so the way you understand the things I say may be different from what I initially thought of, I swear on my life I do not hate these characters, Jayce Mel & Viktor are literally my upmost favorite characters of all time.
This is mostly talking about how sometimes you need to separate the intentions from the actions these characters do, because most of the time, actions speak louder than words.
ALL your favorite characters in Arcane and flawed, they have problems, they aren't perfect. And that's what makes each so special, because it makes you wonder how they will clean their footsteps and deal with those said flaws later if they decide to partake the lighter path, or how they will step deeper into the darker one. And even so, they will still be on the grey scale.
By far, Ekko is the only character closest to white if im being honest, and he still isn't perfect.
Arcane fans need to understand their favorite characters in different points of view, not just from their eyes, even if you agree with their doings and find it right.
One big example that i will bring up again, that scene with Mel, Viktor and Jayce discussing the potential misuse of hextech as Viktor dismantles the bomb. You can understand Viktors point of view, but why not Mels too? (& Vice Versa)
Another is the scene when Vi finally gets to see her sister in episode 5, Caitlyn tagging along with her. You finally get to see powder and Vi reunited, you feel content, and then Jinx comes back and gets angry on why Vi is with an enforcer, which is well within her rights considering how they literally killed countless of zaunites and people, but why not understand from Caitlyns side too? Jinx is a wanted criminal, she'd put a building on fire, killed people in the process, stole volatile items with possibly horrible intentions considering what her crimes are.
ANOTHER is the bridge scene with Jayce and Viktor with the riots, Why the fuck is Jayce calling them dangerous infront of viktor??? Hes well within his rights to be mad! But he isn't WRONG, And jayce is under a lot of stress, and viktor is literally going against him by taking shimmer, and God that list never ends.
Literally almost any other scene.
caitlyn Ekko & Vi , Vi and the Council , Vi and Jayce , Jinx and Vi on episode 9 , Silco and Jayce , Mel and Ambessa , Mel and Viktor, Mel and Jayce in some scenes (like when she put him on the council) , singed and Viktor , etc etc etc
Need i say more??
All of these characters are full of layer upon layer of writing, they're all so well written, their intentions, ideals, morals, are all bricks and pipes of what builds them as characters, but their flaws and nuance is the 'glue' of what keeps them standing too. They may have no choice but to do or say those things that they do or say, because if they don't, they will possibly crumble. But that does not mean it gives them a pass, in the end of the day,, murder is still murder, ignorance is still ignorance, manipulation is still manipulation, and etc. They're not all equally as horrible as the other, but that does not make them better qualities, comparing all these issues/problems and completely siding with one thing because you find A to be less horrible than B is not a good start to understanding Arcane or any show with a similar level of writing to it.
as usual, im sorry for any mistakes or if this is uncollected and full of reptitivness, I don't usually correct my rants or anything because they're like... rants... And im very sorry for nagging about certain things, some points may actually be wrong so please don't feel afraid to give advice or correct me over them NICELY. Other than that its really just my opinion, i just wanted to get the "understand characters from different views" & "sEpEraTe InTentIons FroM ActIons" points across.

I gave myself some time to think after watching act III, and I can finally share my thoughts. Let me break it down episode by episode so it’s more coherent because I’m itching to talk about it. Buckle up because this won’t be short.
cw: mentions of sh, depression, borderline personality disorder, suicidal tendencies
episode 7 — Pretend Like It’s the First Time
This whole episode felt like pure fanfiction and fan service, and I genuinely can’t believe how Timebomb shippers are still standing after this. Throughout this whole episode, it’s been clearly shown how Ekko will only accept one version of Jinx—the easy to digest one. The one that hasn’t been traumatized. How can someone call it love? Love isn’t picking and choosing what you accept, you either love the whole person or you don’t. Alternate universe Powder is the epitome of the manic pixie dream girl archetype for the current timeline Ekko. Would Timebomb work in that alternate universe? Sure, but that’s because it’s their reality. They don’t know anything else—Powder doesn’t become the Jinx we know now. Alternate universe Ekko isn’t faced with Jinx’s mental health problems—he has nothing to pick and choose from.
Do I hate Ekko? No, I actually like his character, but he’s torn between reality and fantasy. Can I blame him? Also no, because we’ve seen his childhood. We can only imagine what damage losing everyone he loved and cared about at such a young age (and so suddenly) did to him mentally. I can’t fault him for holding onto the past (even if he denies doing so), but it is an issue that stands in the way of current timeline Timebomb.
To him, there’s only Powder or Jinx, but she’s so much more complex than that. It’s been shown repeatedly how Jinx is a part of Powder (the whole act I of season 1), and how Powder is still a part of Jinx (until the very end, no matter how hard she tried to get rid of her).
BONUS: The necklace Powder has speaks for itself. A blue rose represents, and I quote, “Unrequited love, a longing for the impossible. A yearning for someone out of reach or a relationship that cannot be fully realized.” Both Ekko’s and Powder’s side profiles aren’t on the same side of the necklace to begin with. They only merge once she spins it.
BONUS 2: Other than “Ma meilleure ennemie” by Stromae & Pomme being an absolute bop, some of you simply didn’t translate it, and it shows. Here are some highlights, specifically Pomme’s lyrics (clearly depicting Jinx):
episode 8 — Killing Is a Cycle
The episode that started to break me. We see Jinx, absolutely drained, sitting in that cell because Isha’s death was her breaking point. No one and I mean no one, showed that girl the love and acceptance she needed and deserved other than Isha. Not Silco, not Vi, not Ekko. Building that beautiful storyline for two acts straight just to rip it away from her in such a traumatizing way—a parallel to the explosion at the warehouse, too? Wow. They were setting the stage for Jinx’s breakdown since the very beginning of this season. Making us watch the hope in her bloom, find something (or someone in this case) worth living for again, be loved and accepted for who she is just to watch it all burn and leave her with nothing again—pure evil.
“I didn’t know your mom was there.” Can you hear my heart breaking even further? That brings me to my next point: Jinx in relation to Caitvi.
After watching all of what Caitlyn did this season, not only to the city but to Vi, and then still believing Caitvi is healthy? Are we watching the same show? Season 1 Caitvi stood a chance, but this? So shallow and underdeveloped. Cait became a whole dictator. She was Vi’s breaking point, too, and the reason why she hit rock bottom in the first place. Jinx saw that firsthand, and she still thinks she’s the one standing in the way of Vi’s happiness? The only person standing in the way of that is Caitlyn herself, who isn’t even being held accountable for her actions whatsoever at any point. “We can’t erase our mistakes.” but we clearly can pretend they never happened, right?
“She’s being held in the bunker while I decide what to do.” What exactly did Cait expect from that? Telling Vi, her apparent love interest—who knows what it’s like to suffer in prison, not even physically but straight up mentally—that she’s keeping her mentally ill little sister in a cell while she decides what to do? What’s there to decide? And who are you to decide?
“I’m giving you this one chance to account for your actions, all the pain you’ve caused.” Is this projecting I hear from Cait? Can’t even tell since she never did what she’s expecting from Jinx, having done far worse things than her by that point. She let martial law take place for fuck’s sake. She used the grey to gas the Undercity (which still boggles me that Vi agreed to it). She was ready to risk Isha’s safety (a CHILD) just to get to Jinx.
BONUS (while I’m at it): Caitlyn would’ve missed the final shot, no matter how much she believed that she wouldn’t. She missed the shot twice right before that: first, when she shot Jinx’s finger off, and second, when she accidentally shot at Vi. They gave us this shot of Cait looking crazed out for a reason. She was losing her mind.
She was blinded by grief, yes, but I was waiting for the moment where she finally admits to her wrongdoings (other than screaming “I know!” while tossing a boat figurine, that is). “No amount of good deeds can undo our crimes.” Sure, and a lousy sex scene can?
Let’s talk about it.
When Jinx leaves Vi in the cell, she’s clearly suicidal and mentally unwell—even more than what we’ve seen from her so far. The dialogue they gave her, again, making her believe that she was the issue all along was just heartbreaking to hear. Yes, it’s Jinx’s perception of herself, going back to her believing she’s a jinx and how everyone close to her dies, but that perception of herself shifted when Isha came into the picture. And like I said, they took that away, so going back to the topic at hand.
Vi just being ready to hear another ‘I told you so’ from Caitlyn when she finds her, and then they just end up having “sex” (or actually, just giving Cait the pleasure Vi deserved instead after everything she put her through). We’ve seen crumbs of unsatisfying communication between them about what happened, and that sex scene in the cell was the last straw for me at this point. What do you mean Vi saw her suicidal sister sitting in that very same cell (starving and self-harming herself, may I add) and instead of running after her, she pounces on Cait?
“But the parallel to their first meeting back in s1!” I don’t care. That’s just fucked up to witness. In what world would Vi—who swears to care about her family—do that? We see her as this family-oriented person, who doesn’t give up on Jinx despite it all, and this was just so out of character in the name of fan service.
episode 9 — The Dirt Under Your Nails
Starting off strong, we see depressed and suicidal Jinx right off the bat. How did Ekko manage to get through to her? Well, it’s not like he would’ve stopped either way. He would’ve kept using his z-drive over and over again until he finally got it right.
What do we gain from that? Hopeful Jinx again, yippee! Wrong. She’s back for her sister, and it’s beautiful to witness. “I’m always with you. Even when we’re worlds apart.” Fighting with and for her, ready to die for her—we saw time and time again how Jinx was never the true jinx she believed she was. She managed to fix things with Vi—and even Ekko at this point—and managed to find and bring joy. That was the true ending both sisters deserved.
What do we get instead? Implying that Jinx sacrifices herself for Vi. Other than the pure rollercoaster of emotions they put Jinx through, making a suicidal character kill themselves (or even implying so) is just plain insensitive. What message does that send? As I said in a comment section, the writers aren’t blind, and they’re not dumb either. They know how many mentally ill fans Jinx herself has. As someone who struggles with bpd too, I related to her character in so many ways. More than I’m willing to share in this post, so that finale just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Speaking with other people who are struggling with their mental health helped me see that I wasn’t the only one affected by it. Quoting my friend: “We need to normalize considering the effects of the narrative on the fans.” And this isn’t to say that every suicidal character should magically get better, this isn’t how the real world works. But Jinx’s storyline had no reason to end on that note by that point. Forced and rushed.
Dead or runaway, leaving her with the “everybody’s better off without me” narrative was just the wrong way to go about it. Plain and simple. It was rubbing salt into the wound, spitting in the face of her development. They decided to end the show with an underdeveloped Caitvi “endgame” when they spent all this time developing Jinx’s arc. And all of this for what? Such a disappointing way to wrap things up, with literal crumbs as hints that maybe she’s still alive.
And the bitter cherry on top of Caitvi’s messy relationship this season, other than the complete lack of communication—Vi comparing herself to the dirt under Cait’s nails. What a cute (not really) way to remind us of their differences and Piltover’s stance on Zaun for the majority of the show—seen as nothing more than dirt. When Sevika joins the Council after the war, she’s still being looked down on. This just makes me sick.
BONUS: No mentions of Isha in Act III was pure evil (no, the paint on Jinx’s new outfit, the bunny ears on the balloon or even Isha’s doll were not enough. I wanted her death to be properly acknowledged. No, I don’t think it was too much to ask for). We got this beautiful found family arc between her, Jinx, and Sevika, only for it to be completely forgotten the moment Jinx reconciles with Vi.
BONUS 2: Jayce and Viktor were the perfect example of bromance. A friendship between two men can be gentle, affectionate, and loving without them being gay. No need for the ship, but I guess that’s the least of my worries.
BONUS 3: If anyone brings up the “beauty in imperfections” monologue to defend the ending, know that I’m not listening. They had such a beautiful show going for so long. Imperfections aren’t the problem here, it’s the plain disappointment.
EDIT BONUS 4: Singed out of all people getting a happy ending was so disrespectful. What a cockroach that man is. Nothing and no one can get rid of him.

finally got back to showing my sister arcane (her fault not mine) and these are her thoughts for episode 4:
she made a face (don't know if it was disgust or concern) at jinx getting close to silco when he was in his chair (i haven't explained that it's just a no-boundaries father-daughter situation yet)
"our most famous protégé, jayce talis" "you fake bitch" (about cassandra)
she did not make any comments about anyone's post-timeskip designs nor did she seem to have any physical reaction
^okay i asked about it hours later: "jayce and viktor pretty much look the same to me" (she apparently did not notice how sunken his cheeks have become) "her hair is way too long, it's a hazard. it's a tripping hazard" (about jinx) "those are a lot of tattoos, some of them look like dirt" (about vi)
she compared the hextech gauntlets to the infinity gauntlet
"that feels targeted, heimerdinger. you know i can't chase after you so you're just gonna waddle your little bitchass away. doggy paddle pretty much" (about heimerdinger leaving after telling jayvik to wait a decade)
she's also not loving heimerdinger's pet thingy...or heimerdinger...
literally went "this ugly bitch" when he first popped up in the start of the episode
we compared cait figuring out what happened at the hexgate attack to william murdoch and her strings and evidence to omitb's murder boards (don't know if the fandoms overlap but-)
"i hope somebody kills him" (about marcus) (who's gonna tell her...)
"what progress? cause the last we saw of him, they exiled him and now i'm giving speeches. i'm that bitch" (after heimerdinger's talk with jayce)
"the only one worth my time, is him. the golden boy" "are you trying to ride the golden boy?" (her joking predictions are spot on)
she was probably one of the only people i've seen that did not think that the pink-haired firelight was vi
"respectfully professor, shut your bitchass up" (speaking for viktor to heimerdinger)
"viktor and i have just the thing" "you and viktor are dating"
"i don't like that powder's going by jinx, i don't like that at all"
ep 1 and 2 thoughts
ep 3 thoughts
ep 5 and 6 thoughts
ep 7 and 8 thoughts
finale thoughts

hii, could you make a one shot where jinx is "friends" with the reader but they like constantly kiss each other or are super clingy to eachother and everyone thinks they are more than friends until they end up confessing their fellings?
ice cream sundae // jinx
warning: fluff, kissing & some angst
pairing: jinx x fem reader
a/n: this took me such a long time but i hope you enjoy it :) i had a lot of fun writing it so thank you for the request! also can you tell how much i wanted ice cream while writing this?
your relationship with jinx wasn’t exactly ideal. it was sweet— fluffy cotton candy, cavity-inducing sweetness. the type of ice cream dessert where you could just feel the bits of sugar melting on your tongue, and the budding stomach ache looming near. it was comfort and love except without the usual strings or a daunting “relationship” title.
although to most, you were in fact together— nearly inseparable, and you couldn’t fault them. after all, “friends” don’t share fervent kisses that leave them breathless for minutes on end. nor do they spend hours each night bound until the other manages to fall asleep.
at first, the intimacy didn’t bother you. you and jinx had always been comfortable around each other. the added intimacy only seemed to strengthen your relationship even further which neither of you seemed to mind— well that was until others took note.
silco’s office was crowded with chembarons and compatriots— all eager to hear about his next plan. they practically hung on his every word, offering the fearless leader their undivided attention. yet the sight was enough to draw hushed snickers from your lips.
“they all look constipated,” jinx chuckled, swinging an arm around the small of your back. she pulled your body close to hers despite the somewhat seriousness of the situation. you nuzzled into her side, burying your face into her neck. the noise drew the attention of a few but you managed to suppress the budding laughter— at least for a while.
“no he looks constipated” you smirked, “how do they even take him seriously?” your eyes darted back and forth between the crowd and silco— once again you felt like you were going to lose it. jinx clutched onto you as if to remind you of where you were. but one glance at her blue eyes sent you into an uncontrollable fit of giggles.
the two of you were too distracted to really notice it but dozens of eyes turned your way, along with silco’s. jinx’s arms wrapped around you almost instinctively as both you and her succumbed to laughter, clinging onto each other for dear life. to everyone else in the room, you looked like a couple.
first, it was the intimacy— jinx rarely left your side throughout the entire meeting. each time someone looked over, the distance between the two of you seemed to diminish by the minute. however, aside from that it all seemed natural like you belonged together— and not once did either of you pull away.
“jinx.”
silco’s voice was loud and stern, startling you from her grasp. he ambled towards her, redirecting the attention back onto the three of you. even with the added set of eyes, jinx maintained the distance, gently ushering you back toward her.
“i’m sure there will be plenty of time for you to flirt with your girlfriend after the meeting.”
girlfriend…?
a brief silence swept over the room, completely sucking the air from your lungs, and simultaneously leaving jinx speechless. you were aware that people mistook you for being more than her friend— but when it was finally brought up your feelings seemed like they were on display. free to be analyzed and picked apart by everyone, including jinx.
“uh— she’s not my girlfriend,” she blurted a lot quicker than expected. you couldn’t help but flinch at her words, so concise and almost deliberate. she wasn’t wrong and you knew that but why did everyone else have to?
“regardless, try not to interrupt again?” sharply, silco turned on his heel pulling the attention back towards his speech. and although much hadn’t changed you couldn’t bear to be near jinx. the sugary appeal of a partial relationship no longer seemed ideal, because in the end you were still left with the ache.
she turned back towards you, remorse seeping its way into her features, “ignore hi—“
“i have to go.” mentally, you were already far from the crowded room. without another word, you slid from her arms storming towards the door as you left jinx’s side for the first time in months.
there wasn’t much of a goal in mind— but you needed to get away and there weren’t many options. each one that presented itself had an increased chance of you seeing jinx again, and you couldn’t face her just yet. thus, you continued to walk the streets of zaun, following the dim light that the moon sanctioned.
the silence only seemed to stir your thoughts even further and they weren’t angry ones. you couldn’t bring yourself to be mad at jinx because she hadn’t done anything wrong. the fact is you weren’t her girlfriend and no amount of kisses or gentle touches would change that. gradually tears brimmed your eyes but you refused to let them fall, swallowing the growing knot in the back of your throat.
the last drop was the first place you found solace after hours of mindless wandering. you stumbled towards an empty seat, slumping over the counter. you missed jinx— you yearned to be close to her again but it had to be real, you couldn’t simply be her “friend.”
“an ice cream sundae, please.” you mumbled to the confused bartender.
despite the fact that it was a bar and not a dessert stand your request was granted in a matter of minutes. placed in front of you was a large cup with a blend of french vanilla and rich chocolate. drizzled in syrup and cookies that covered the entire top. at the very center of it was a small cherry that looked all the more delectable. yet you couldn’t bring yourself to pick up the spoon or let alone move.
you felt her first, her touch soft and gentle as a long set of arms snaked around your waist. she propped her chin on your shoulder, bringing your dessert to her lips. the bar was quiet, nearly empty— yet you became hyper-aware of every movement. jinx’s affection was never something you needed to process up until now. however, it was the first time you truly felt conscious of it.
“never had this flavor before.” she hummed, leaning up against the counter. cerulean eyes glazed over yours, setting your cheeks ablaze. the soft skin of her arms gently brushed against your waist causing hundreds of goosebumps to form. and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t conceal it from her.
jinx muttered, her voice somber, “y’know when you ran out last night i waited– but you never showed up.” her eyes were glassy and at first glance, it looked like she was on the verge of tears. instinctively, you brought the pad of your thumb to her face, gently wiping them away. despite the budding tension, she didn’t flinch away, only leaning further into your touch.
“i had to think.” the words came out as a feeble whisper, completely flying over jinx’s head. you could practically feel her growing more restless at the sound of silence pervading the bar.
“what about?”
she desperately tried to keep her voice calm but it became glaringly obvious that she was losing it. her eyes darted between yours almost crazed, and deep jagged lines began to form around her nose.
“us— i mean what are we doing jinx? i’m serious, we act like we’re dating and it’s to the point where everyone thinks we are.” you sighed, bringing your hand to the side of her face. the warmth soothed her, relieving some of the stress that was mounting on her shoulders but you couldn’t push anymore— not until you knew how she felt.
“who cares what other people think?” she spat, deflecting even further to no avail. your heavy gaze sent heat straight to her cheeks, coating them in a bright red shade.
“it’s not about what they think— why can’t we just make it official? it’s not a secret that i love you and i’m tired of just being your friend.” the desperation practically oozed from your voice, sending a pang of guilt to jinx’s chest.
“you’re gonna make me get all sappy, you know i hate that,” she joked, a hint of sadness lacing her words. there was no going back. for a moment she pressed her lips together, taking a deep breath before continuing.
“it’s not that i don’t love you….i have for as long as i can remember. but if we make this real it’s all gonna change— i know it will.” her eyes offered you a moment of clarity, they pleaded with you but were honest— she was honest. it was all you ever really wanted, some sort of confirmation that she felt the same way.
“that doesn’t have to be a bad thing.”
“but it usually is, and i can’t screw this up, y/n.”
“look at me, i’m not going anywhere but you have to trust me….do you trust me?” you cooed, turning your body towards hers. the distance between the two of you grew smaller yet neither of you pulled away. jinx took your hand in hers silently nodding as you placed a palm over her thigh. you were no longer in limbo, you needed to find some way that the two of you could exist as more than friends.
you pushed the half-melted ice cream sundae away, plucking an additional straw from the counter.
“i’m not really in the mood for dessert right now hun,” jinx said, although she reached for it anyway.
“that’s okay, just share this with me.” the both of you brought your lips to the straws, humming at the sweet taste that lingered on your tongues.
jinx brushed a strand of blue from her face, craning her neck to get a better look at you. slowly, her eyes roamed over your face, taking in your features one by one. it was something she was used to doing but never this intimately.
“is it just me or is this the best thing you’ve ever tasted?” you asked, yet jinx was way too distracted to even notice. slowly slipping, her eyes fell on yours and for a moment she held them there, in both admiration and awe. she couldn’t fathom a world in which you were just her friend.
“jinx?” you called, your voice snapping her back to reality.
“hm?”
“do you like it?”
jinx plucked the cherry from the top bringing it to her lips, a bright sparkle glimmering in the corners of her eyes. she brought the fruit to her lips, although her focus was far from it, and the tempting desert just a few feet inches from her. she leaned in closer, testing the invisible boundary.
without another word her hands made their way to the back of your head, initiating a fierce long awaited kiss. in a matter of seconds, you leaned into it, clasping onto jinx’s body for dear life. your tongue swirled in her mouth, savoring the sweet taste of sugar left behind. neither of you could get enough of it, it was infectious and almost addicting.
when jinx finally pulled away she was breathless, ardent passion blurring her gaze. she ensured that her eyes never left yours as she whispered, “i loved it.

I will defend Silco forever. If my brother beat the shit out of me, almost murdered me by DROWNING, and in my eyes gave up on Zaun even though our friend wanted us to free it; I would start hitting and bitting. Seeing him young and happy was so 😭🥲
Indeed! I'm writing a post about this atm but I'll share some of my thoughts here.
We (the vast majority of the fandom) always thought that Silco was this fucked up guy, some going so far as to call him creepy and evil. I've always been a silco fan from day one bc I found him to be very entertaining, the fucked-upness was a part of it. Plus I really loved his relationship with Jinx. Never did I once think of who Silco could have possibility been prior to vander or the falling out. Based off what we saw of him and how he mirrors others, I personally assumed that yeah, he was always a bit unhinged. He felt slited by everyone and he wanted to prove them wrong, and he had an unlikely ally on his side.
Never in A MILLION YEARS did i think there was a possibility that he was once a good guy or a normal guy. That didn't cross my mind not once. The fact that that's what saw in the flashback is GUT WRENCHING and changes everything. I've always sympathized with him bc it was clear he had a lot going on plus his own mental issues but MAN am i more on his side than ever and i have so many questions. I always thought that the falling out had been gradual, that the fight could have been seen a mile away. But now i can't help but wonder if it was like that at all. What if silco didn't see it coming? What if it felt like an ambush? Imagine how terrible he must have felt to have this friendly face become the face of his soon-to-be murderer. AND if he truly is, accidentally, the cause for Felicia's death than imagine how he felt about that. The only person who could have possibly understood the lose turned on him. and THEN i think about the implications this has on his daughter and vi...
Imo, even if Silco is at fault for the bridge, the falling out, fucking anything, he had the right to defend himself. Vander is a gigantic man who's skilled in the arts of fighting. Silco is a twig who only fights dirty. He wouldn't have stood a chance. He also had every reason to hate Vander. Vander betrayed him, tried to kill him, gave him a permeant injury that impacted silco's life AND impacted the way people saw silco, gave him major scarring, major trauma, failed the undercity/the cause/ HIM, and filled his heart with rage.
#I am now defending silco like it is my job to do so#I've been defending him for years bc of the jinx stuff but now? defense has increased tenfold

Arcane Act 3 Spoilers
I would like to kill myself at this present moment.
LORIS NOOOOOOOO
Maddie yes that bitch can die oh finally.
THE SCENE. YIPPPEEEEE
We all won. CaitVi sex scene, TimeBomb canon, JayVik canon (its Canon because because because of they made the butterfly while embracing each other. Quite homosexual of them)
Also in ep7 when Vik and Jay were fighting, he should've smooched him on the forehead even though that shit would've hurt
Isha dying does make me sad... but I think Isha's death is there to remind Jinx that not everything is her fault and that sometimes you do things for the people you love.
STROMAE COMING OUT TO DROP.
The music this act hurt me what.
The way I knew that hooded man was Viktor.
So Sky isn't Viktor's guilt, she's his humanity and when she left, his humanity left too.
MEL MEDARDA THE WOMAN YOU ARE.
I'm sorry can we talk about Mel.
NOW WE KNOW LIKE WHY EVERYONE CAN BE INFLUENCED BY HER. It's the black girl magic- I mean the magic. The Solari magic.
Her new fit🔥😏😏
Ambessa's love for Mel is something that I can relate to but I also can't relate.
The way Heimerdinger died bro🫠 now the lorax is gone
Ekko in the alternate timeline is my man gng.
SILCO AND VANDER RRAAHHHHH the zaun dads
Silco gets hotter? I did state that I have the hots for silco..
BENZOO RRAAHHHHH. Zaun uncle
Poor Ekko, I can imagine how he felt literally seeing his dead father figure and uncle.
Now I don't think anyone can watch Arcane from the beginning without thinking about season 2.
JAYCE SUPPORTERS FOR THE WINN RAHHHHHH.
COUNCELOR SEVIKA AAAAAAA
Caitlyn and Violet had a scene in a Jail cell. In contrast to how they met. That is very Picasso, very Slay
I think Viktor and Jayce's relationship is beautiful and it evolved like a butterfly.
WHY DID VI DIE IN OTHER TIMELINE MY HEART.
Jinx is not dead guys😃
Everything hurts. My eyes hurt. The last time I cried this hard for a piece of media was probably Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie.. OH and Good Omens s2e6
Okay, but Arcane is a piece of media that is the prime example what executives should be doing and that's giving artists time, paying them right and NOT TAKING THEIR FUCKING JOBS!!
Further.. I think I might combust. A03 fics anyone? Like any recommendations because I am off to listen to the music now which is a bad idea because when I'm done, I'm probably gonna come back here crying to tell you about how To Ashes and Blood has a bigger meaning and that the full version of Enemy is about Jinx and Ekko.
YES IT IS BECAUSE the Violins represent Jinx and her aggressive nature (they play soft then aggressive) and JID's part had ticking. LIKE A CLOCK?? HELLOOOO???
I'm gonna go be like spongebob and tweak in my room. Peace yall.
Thank you for the soul
Thanks for the tears
Thank you for the reunion
Thanks for the playfulness
Thank you [can't explain.]
Thanks for listening to us
Thank you for understanding
Sigh. Thank you.
Thank you for the memories
Thanks for searching
Thank you Alexander Seaver of Mako and Alexander Temple for everything.

i feel like ambessa is gonna be the perfect foil to vi/jinx in season 2. they’re all children haunted by their parents, and ambessa is a parent haunted by her child.
as seen in the bar fight with sevika, vi sees vander and hears his voice as a form of encouragement, a way to keep going. she loved him, she looked up to him so much and she believed in him, and she takes strength from thinking that maybe, he believed in her.
with silco’s death, i think we can assume that silco will join jinx’s cast of hallucinations. his last words to her were ‘you’re perfect’. he took her in when she believed everyone had died or abandoned her. she thought it was her fault, and he told her, no, no it wasn’t. even at the end, when shot and killed by his own daughter, he said, no, no it isn’t your fault, i love you. jinx takes on his mission like she takes on his ghost.
i feel it is not unlikely that mel died in the explosion. ambessa cast out mel. she deemed mel too soft, her morals didn’t align with nox’s, but most of all, she cast mel out because she loved her. because she hated seeing mel hurt, hated knowing mel was upset because of her actions, no matter how necessary. she loved mel, and wanted her by her side. ‘a wolf has no mercy’, she saw herself as a wolf, and hoped mel would be one too. but neither of them are. ambessa loved her country and she loved mel. she could not hurt her country and she could not hurt mel. she did what she felt she had to and she cast mel away to the place that would become her tomb. while she did not know it, she sent mel to her grave because she loved mel. how could it not haunt her? is there anything so undoing as a daughter? ambessa sent mel away to protect her and her country, an act of mercy that was met with wrath, her daughter’s death. wrath must be met with wrath. a wolf has no mercy
#arcane#ambessa medarda#i feel i got a little monologuey at the end#but. you get it right#please get it#god im obsessed

Braindumping about Silco and Vi, because these two are such fantastic narrative foils for each other—and, in the same breath, completely cut from the same cloth.
I keep wishing they had more scenes together, another square-off, something to put them head-to-head—because there's so much potential for them to counteract the layers of each other.
At the root of it all, Vander's looming between them, this monolith of a presence that ties their pasts together. But above that, still, we have Jinx—who not only is their driving tension, but their greatest possibility for reconnection.
Here, we have Vander's daughter—someone who, for all intents and purposes, has become what he wanted, but who has also been someone he saw too much of himself in; who he did his best to reshape, instead of enable, and who put him on a pedestal, and truly saw him as hers, more than perhaps anyone (except, well, Silco).
Vi treasured Vander, fully looked up to him as her father—and losing him shattered her. In between all the layers of it, there's this underlying thread in his actions towards her, a tension that just sits with her through Act 1—Do as I say, not as I do (or, rather, as I did).
Here, we also have Vander's partner—someone who knew him before, knew what he was, what he resented, and what he became, instead; and who bears the scars of what all their fallout grew to be. Someone who holds the memory of him tangibly, in multiple respects, as though it is something he physically cannot sever: Vander's knife, the Drop—and even, in some ways, Jinx.
Silco is still clinging to the idea of Vander, throughout the entire series. To the potential in their reunion at the cannery; to the reassurance of what he knew him to be (I knew you still had it in you; Vander wasn't the man you thought he was); to this need he has to still speak to him, even after everything.
But Vi was raised with the burden of being the eldest; being the one most capable of providing protection—and, as a consequence, with the burden of responsibility.
She's not only a sister to Jinx. She's a guardian to her—and in many respects, a stand-in mother. And Silco, as a surrogate father, is standing right in the middle of that. A roadblock between "Powder," as Vi knows her sister as, and "Jinx," as Silco knows his daughter to be.
Right at the forefront, we have so much conflict here. Vi is so similar to Vander, to the point that she is nearly his spirit incarnate—so much so that having her resurface from a presumed grave just sets fuel to fire for a vendetta Silco has never been able to snuff out.
But beneath that—far beneath that—they have so much in common. Vi's headstrong rebuttals in Act 1 about going against Piltover and striking them down, about being made to feel lesser her whole life and needing to fight against it, just sings with Silco's anger in the cannery (You'd die for the cause, but you won't fight for one?).
These are two kindred spirits, two revolutionaries willing to do anything for their city and those they love, and who aren't afraid to fight for it. Who want to fight for it.
But trapped between it all, we have Jinx. Someone Vi is not willing to sacrifice (i.e., her memory of Powder), and who Silco, by the end of the series, isn't willing to sacrifice, either (i.e., his loyalty to Jinx).
Vi, of course, could never fathom Silco being a father to Powder (how could she, after he is the reason Vander was taken from her?)—and looks for justifications for her hatred, in everything he does.
But the unfortunate truth of the matter is that for all Vander cherished and nurtured Vi as a vision of himself—so has Silco, to Jinx. He sees himself in her. He has empowered her, cherished her. He is so incredibly tender with her, in his own ways. And—for all his absolute faults, his skewed morals, his tunnel-visioned zealousy to achieve Zaun—he is a good father to Jinx, just as Vander was a good father to Vi.
The question I keep finding myself mulling over, though, is whether these two could find elements of that, once again, in each other.
There are so many things Silco isn't—not only in Vander's shadow, but simply in the character that he is. He doesn't come in swinging; he plots, he strategizes, he fights with words. He isn't a warm presence, or a jovial one; he's chilling, he's dry, he's distanced. There are countless contradictions one can draw between the two of them—and so many layers one can tease apart, on how their opposites attracted each other, how they worked (a balance that will no longer ever be).
But there are so many things Silco is. He's critical, he's fiercely rational, he knows how to weave a crowd around his finger with a single intonation. He admires the outcasts, the scrappers, those that have dredged through society to claw for what they can. He surrounds himself with them—and he operates alongside them, as an equal as much as an usurper.
He's a flavor of parenthood Vi didn't receive, but could have—the one that would have validated her need to fight; who would have taught her that strength comes in numbers, not in one's single ability to protect; who would have seen her snarkiness, her quick wit on her feet, and taught her to use it to her leverage.
The tragedy of the whole series is that Jinx needs them both to have balance in her life—to keep the tether of her child self and her trauma from splitting her apart at the seams—yet for Silco and Vi, as the narrative destines them for (and as it destined Silco and Vander for), any semblance of a connection between them is doomed for destruction.
There's too much they hold fiercely to themselves, in their own traumas, that they cannot set down—even for the sake of Jinx's needs. They are equally selfish, in that way. They want the version of Vander that they are not willing to let go of; and they want the version of Jinx that they know her to be.
But they could change. They could.
Silco did, by the end. Chose his daughter, his legacy, over the cause, over his vision of progress. And Vi did, too. Chose "peace," chose to set down the gauntlets, chose politics (and—arguably—complacency, in the same way Vander did) as the path forward.
But what if they set it all down, for Jinx? What if they became what she needed, on both sides? A father who sees her, nurtures her, like Vander saw and nurtured Vi—and a sister who loves and protects her, like Vi loved and protected Powder; who could learn, maybe, to love and protect "Jinx," too?
And maybe—just maybe—Silco and Vi could learn to appreciate each other, for all their surface hatreds. Find mentorship, find balance again, in each other. And through it, Vi could learn that protection, responsibility, isn't the only quality to strive for. That even she can be nurtured again, too.
#yes this is rapidly becoming the entire basis of heron blue and yes this is the central premise of the WIP i'm working on#shhh#listen these two are just#hhGHGHGH#silco and jinx have that special dysfunctional flavor of daddy issues out the roof#but let's just talk about vi with all that for a second#like????#yes she will loathe silco until her deathbed for taking vander from her but like...vander gave this girl parentification issues for DAYS#there's some complications big time on both sides#arcane#rambles#arcane meta#arcane vi#arcane silco#arcane vander#i know i have completely left caitlyn out of the equation here#honestly - i could see their relationship developing more...genuinely's not the right word but?#separate from the context of vi being freed from prison?#something that comes more naturally from them seeing each other in their own contexts/working environments#and admiring/appreciating each others' opposites all the more for it#also just like#this is what jinx NEEDS it is the whole shakespearian tragedy of the entire conflict with these three#and the total angst ball of what that *could* be is just divine

Silco stared out the window of his office, letting the lights of the city outside fade in and out of focus as he contemplated what the next day held for him. Tonight had been a disaster, not that he had expected anything different from the situation. The only thing that seemed to have gone well was that Jinx had enjoyed the evening, which he supposed was the most important thing. He didn’t have a lot of experience with weddings, but he thought that they were generally a happy event, even with family drama. Namely drama between a parent of the bride and his partner.
The empty seat beside him at the table tonight spoke loud and clear. You were still upset with him and hadn’t even bothered to put up a happy front and deal with him for an evening, not even for Jinx. Then again, you were still present, just seated somewhere else; so he supposed you had chosen to support Jinx at her rehearsal dinner after all. He had only gotten a glimpse of you as you pushed past him on your way out of the hall, never getting the chance to even speak with you.
“Dad?” a quiet voice asked from behind him, interrupting his inner turmoil.
Silco turned his chair around from the window to face his darkened office. Light from the hallway spilled in through the open door, where Jinx was standing. Even in the dark, he could see the sparkles on her blue dress winking at him. Jinx had a concerned expression covering her features, and at the confirmation that he was in his office, she stepped in and closed the door behind her.
“Are you okay? You left early.”
Silco sighed and stood from his office chair, circling around the desk to meet his daughter in the middle of the room.
“I’m fine, Pumpkin,” he said, reaching out with his thumb to smooth the worry lines between her eyebrows. “Just tired.”
The comforting motion was something you always did for him when he was stressed. It seemed he had picked up one of your habits during your relationship. He wondered if he would ever feel your soothing touch again. Jinx wrapped her arms around his midsection in a tight embrace, grounding him.
“I’m sorry,” she said softly.
Silco pulled back from her embrace to look down at her in confusion.
“Whatever for? If anything, I should be apologizing to you. This is your weekend, you don’t need to worry about what’s going on with me.”
“I know the fight was my fault,” Jinx said, averting her gaze. “If I hadn’t gotten so upset about what happened, they wouldn’t have spoken up and you guys wouldn’t have fought.”
Silco pulled Jinx back into his embrace and placed a soft kiss on the top of her head, swaying her back and forth gently to soothe her. She had been doing so well lately, apart from the outburst of a few days ago. He would do anything in his power to help her maintain the blissful state of mind she had been enjoying.
“Don’t even think about it like that, Jinx. What happened wasn’t anyone’s fault but my own. I shouldn’t have snapped at them like I did. I caused the fight, not you.”
“Are you sure?”
“One hundred percent.”
Jinx pulled away from the embrace and stared up at him. Her bright blue eyes narrowed as she pointed one of her manicured fingers at his face.
“You better be in a good mood tomorrow. If you spoil things, you know Vi won’t be happy.”
Silco rolled his good eye at her threat. He couldn’t think of a time her older sister was happy with him, even when she was a child. He didn’t blame her, as she had been raised exclusively by Vander, along with her and Jinx’s brothers. He doubted there had ever been a good thing said about him in that household.
At least he had Jinx.
“I promise I’ll be on my best behavior tomorrow,” he said, placing a kiss on his daughter’s forehead. “I won’t let anything ruin your special day. Not even me.”
Jinx lowered her accusatory finger and beamed up at him. She hugged him one final time before turning and exiting his office, leaving him alone with his thoughts once again.
Jinx paced wildly back and forth across their living room, her long blue hair streaming behind her. Silco sat patiently in his arm chair, waiting for her to tell her what had upset her so badly. So far, all he had gleaned from her muttering was “who does she think she is” and “stupid Piltie”, which gave him absolutely no context.
Jinx finally stopped in front of him and threw her hands up in the air for a moment before angrily throwing them back down to her sides.
“What am I supposed to do?!” she cried.
Silco leaned forward in his chair, taking her hands in his.
“About what, Pumpkin?”
Jinx started ranting about how one of her bridesmaids, a girl she knew from art school, had mono and wouldn’t be able to be at the wedding. In an attempt to smooth over the situation, apparently Vander had suggested that Jinx have Caitlyn, Violet’s girlfriend, step in to fill the empty spot at her side.
Silco cringed as Jinx told him about Vander’s suggestion, which Violet had supported. Jinx had walked in on the girl trying on the dress meant for the missing bridesmaid to see if it would fit or need some last minute alterations. He knew his daughter was not fond of her sister’s girlfriend, and the thought of her inserting herself into her special day must have triggered this reaction.
“Would you rather have someone else step in?” he asked her.
He mentioned your name, saying that you could wear the outfit already chosen for you. Jinx replied that you would already be stepping in for a different part of the wedding at the reception and would likely feel uncomfortable being involved in the ceremony as well.
“You can always ask them,” he suggested.
“Ask who what?” came a voice from the door.
Silco and Jinx both looked up at the sound of the voice to see you entering the room. Jinx released her grip on his hands and threw herself in your direction, nearly knocking you over. Silco sighed as he heard her start to ramble on once again about the bridesmaid situation.
“Would it be easier to only have one?” you asked.
“But both Claggor and Mylo will be standing up for Ekko, so one of them will be without a partner!” Jinx shouted, releasing her grip on you to return to pacing.
Silco watched as you furrowed your brow in concern at his daughter. You looked over at him and caught his eye, which he responded to with a shrug. His involvement in this wedding had been mostly financial, as he made more money than Vander and Benzo combined. He had agreed to walk Jinx down the aisle, as was his duty as a father. Since he shared that role with Vander, the dance went to the other man. He hadn’t planned on participating much more than what he needed to.
After a few more minutes of aggravated pacing, Jinx stopped in front of his chair again. She looked at him with pleading eyes, tears forming at the corners. He knew what that look meant. She wanted him to fix her problems for her.
“Jinx, this is something you need to deal with,” he said. “This wedding is your responsibility. I can’t fix it for you.”
The only response he got was a pout, followed by loud stomping as she left the room. The sound of a slamming door upstairs made him flinch. Silco sighed heavily and rubbed his good eye with his hand. Soft footsteps approached him and before long, he felt your fingers smoothing the lines of his furrowed brow. He glanced up to meet your gaze, seeking the warmth of your affection. He was surprised to find a look of disappointment on your face.
“What?”
“Nothing,” you murmured before looking away.
“Out with it.”
“You’re her father, Silco. Your advice on what to do about a stressful situation means the world to her.”
Silco huffed in response. It didn’t surprise him that you were in Jinx’s corner. You always worked hard to smooth things over whenever he had an argument with his daughter. Usually in her favor rather than his own. It was something he loved about you, even if you weren’t on his side most of the time.
“She doesn’t want my advice. She wants me to fix it for her so she doesn’t have to do anything herself. She’s getting married, so she’ll have to learn how to do things without my help.”
“You don’t stop being a parent just because your kid gets married, Silco.”
Silco scowled and shook his head. He had already had enough stress revolving around this blasted wedding, and he was ready for it to be done. It was bad enough having to deal with Vander’s constant involvement, the last thing he needed was an argument with you.
“I know I don’t know much about raising children…” you started.
“That’s right. You don’t.”
Silco heard the words leave his lips before he could stop them. They had also come out much harsher than intended. He felt you flinch away at his tone.
“I only meant…” you started again quietly.
Silco waved a hand at you impatiently.
“Just go up and talk to her, since you seem to know what’s best,” he snapped.
The expression that covered your face was a mixture of surprise and hurt. Silco instantly regretted his words and wished he could take them back. He inwardly cursed his temper and stressed mind.
As he thought over the following argument between the two of you, Silco kept picturing your hurt expression. You had eventually left, heading back to your own place, leaving him to deal with Jinx on his own.
He should have called you the following morning to apologize, but he hadn’t. His foul mood had followed him into the next day, his pride keeping him from taking the steps needed to fix things. How was he supposed to fix Jinx’s problems when he couldn’t even solve his own?
The situation that had caused the problem in the first place had been dealt with. Jinx had agreed to let Caitlyn step in as her bridesmaid after a lengthy conversation with Violet over the phone. She hadn’t needed his help in the end, solving the problem on her own as he had advised.
Silco wasn’t sure if that counted as a win or not.
A few days had passed before he had heard from you again, and then it was only in the form of a voicemail. You had said that you wanted some time apart from him. When he had tried to call you back, you hadn’t answered.
He had hoped to talk to you this evening, but that had not worked out. He had been distracted and hadn’t been able to speak with you. When he asked her about it, Jinx had informed him that you were still coming to the wedding, but had asked to be seated apart from him. Something Vander had noticed, leading to their argument in the hall, which had been his distraction. By the time he had returned from his scolding, you had disappeared without a word.
He was providing quite the scandal. Father of the bride with not only one ex-partner present at the wedding, but two. At least that’s where it looked like things were heading.
Silco sat alone in the corner of the reception hall sipping on his drink, trying to tune out the loud obnoxious song playing over the speakers. One would think that the owner of a nightclub would be used to loud music, but for some reason, this time it was getting on his nerves.
He could see Jinx and Ekko jumping up and down along with their guests in the middle of the dance floor, Jinx’s long blue hair flopping carelessly around her as she danced. She looked like she was having the time of her life, which lessened his sour mood the tiniest amount. Her happiness was all that mattered today. That was enough to get him through the evening.
When the loud music came to a halt, Silco muttered a quiet thank you to whatever deity had heard his prayers for it to end its onslaught of his ears. The DJ announced that it was time for the happy couple to have their dance to their chosen song. Silco threw back the rest of his drink, ready to go get another from the bar. He could see his daughter’s dance just as well from there.
As he waited for his fresh drink, the song Jinx had chosen began to play. A spotlight was pointed at the couple as they swayed back and forth in time with the music. Silco hadn’t known what song she had ended up choosing, but based on the rhythm of the music, he felt she had made a good choice. He stood leaning against the bar listening closely as the lyrics began, tapping his foot along with the beat. The first few lines passed over him but when it reached the part he guessed was the beginning of the chorus, he felt his heart lurch in his chest.
“I would never fall in love again until I found you.
I said, ‘I would never fall unless it’s you I fall into.’
I was lost within the darkness, but then I found you.
I found you.”
Silco had never been one for sentimental feelings, especially in songs, but something about the lyrics hit him like a truck. He had never heard something so accurately describe how he felt about someone. How he felt about you. After things had ended so badly between himself and Vander, he hadn’t thought love would be possible for him again. That had all changed when he met you. Now he had screwed that up as well, leaving him in the ‘darkness’ once again.
As the song continued to play, his gaze drifted over the crowd until it settled on a form at the edge of the dance floor. You were standing there, looking spectacular in the outfit Jinx had designed for you. Silco watched as you swayed in place to the rhythm of the song, a small smile on your lips as you watched the happy couple in the center.
The song came to an end with a final reprise of the chorus that had touched his heart so deeply, the music slowly fading away. The gathered crowd clapped as Jinx and Ekko left the dance floor hand in hand. Silco could still see you through the dispersing crowd, as you had remained in your spot to talk to someone near you. This was likely the best chance he would have to try and get your attention so he could talk to you.
Abandoning his half finished drink, Silco pushed through the throng of people, keeping you in his sights at all times. He eventually reached your side and came to a stop next to the person you were speaking with. He cleared his throat to grab your attention, which caused you to switch your focus from your conversation to him.
“Excuse the interruption,” he said, trying to maintain a polite facade. “But could I steal you for a moment?”
You gave the other person a smile before nodding to him. He held out his hand for you, and you surprised him by placing your hand in his. He gently pulled you to a door that led outside the reception hall so you could talk privately. The cool breeze of the night air blew through the loose parts of both your outfits, but Silco felt it was refreshing after the stuffy heat of the hall. Once the door closed behind the pair of you, Silco felt you pull your hand from his. The loss stung, but he made sure to not show it in any way.
“The event has been lovely,” you said, taking a few steps away from him. “Jinx looks really happy.”
“Indeed she does. I’m glad things worked out in the end and have gone smoothly with no further problems.”
Silco hadn’t brought you out for small talk, but he wasn’t sure where to begin. He figured an apology was a good starting point. He said your name softly to refocus your attention, which made you turn towards him.
“I wanted to apologize for my behavior. I should not have said the things I did to you, and I should have called you as soon as possible to set things right.”
Silco looked in your eyes as he spoke, so he could see your expression soften as he was speaking, which he hoped was a sign that you would be able to forgive him.
“I know you said you wanted some space, which I will respect,” he continued. “But I wanted to at least try to make some kind of amends. I also wanted to make sure that you knew that I love you.”
Your eyes widened at his words, likely in surprise. Silco had expected that reaction, as it was the first time he had said those words to you, at least directly.
“I don’t say this to manipulate you in any way or to pressure you into forgiving me. It just seemed like something you should know.”
His heart pounding in his chest, Silco turned away from you and started back towards the door. A soft call of his name stopped him in his tracks, but he didn’t turn. He heard the clicking of your shoes on the pavement as you closed the distance between the two of you, followed by the gentle touch of your hand at his elbow.
“You tell me you love me for the first time and then you walk away?” you asked as you came around to stand in front of him. “Not even giving me the chance to say it back?”
Silco inhaled sharply at your second question. Did you intend to return his sentiment?
“You didn’t need to pressure me into forgiving you, Silco. I already have. Do you know why?”
Silco shook his head and avoided your intense gaze. Out of the corner of his field of vision, he saw you raising your hand in the direction of his forehead, no doubt to smooth the wrinkle between his brows. He made no effort to stop you, leaning into your gentle touch when your fingertips touched his skin. After removing your thumb from his face, you leaned in to place your forehead against his.
“Because I love you too, Silco.”
It was said so quietly that he almost didn’t believe he had actually heard it. Regardless, the words sent a beam of light straight to his heart, chasing away the impending darkness that he had feared would consume him once again. A snippet of the song that had pushed him in this direction flowed through his mind, leading him to a solid conclusion.
“I asked to love you once again.
You fell, I caught you.
I’ll never let you go again like I did.”

Hiii inky, this is for the directors cut ^^
I’ve always been curious; during the time astrid was fired from the last drop, did jinx say to silco while he was in heartbreak? Did she try to comfort him? Did Sevika comment on anything? We’re there any other characters that witnessed him a miserable mess? lol
Oh and I almost forgot:
GET BACK HERE AND FINISH THAT KISS WITH TONGUE YOU COWARD
(Putting this art in my serotonin folder hehehehehhe thank you sweet one kissing you back real sloppy 😘😘❤️)
Oh you bet your ass a ton of stuff went down in Silco-land over those three months, and one of these days I will post the entire timeline I will goddammit. But for now I’ll shall answer your question and give you a glimpse into Silco’s misery…
Jinx
Silco’s fall out with Astrid definitely affected his relationship with Jinx for a while, with the first week or two being the worst. When Jinx wasn’t outright ghosting her dad, she was cold and distant with him. For a few days she even refused to help him with his eye treatment, until Sevika bribed her with coin. After that she reluctantly assisted in frosty silence.
It isn’t that Jinx couldn’t see how much he was hurting – it wasn’t even that she didn’t feel any compassion for his heartbreak – it’s simply that her anger with him was great enough to blot out everything else. To her mind, her family had been torn apart once again, bringing all sorts of painful memories to the surface. Only this time she wasn’t the one ‘at fault’. And because Silco is maaaaaybe a teensy bit of an enabler when it comes to Jinx, her only real frame of reference for how to treat someone at fault was the way she was treated by Milo and to some extent Vi. So she defaulted to that.
However, after the first failed assassination attempt of this time period Jinx did go to him to check on his welfare (even though she acted very aloof and teenage about it). At this point Silco did at least manage to initiate a discussion with her about what happened, and although she remained displeased with him, they did manage to agree to a shakey truce.
Silco never held Jinx’s feelings against her, even though he was going through a lot of pain of his own he always remained patient and lenient. And when she gradually began to warm up to his company again, he didn’t make a big to-do; just quietly accepted the love and affection he was given, and reciprocated it unconditionally, without any need for apology or explanation.
Not to say it was smooth sailing between them from there on out. Whilst Jinx did try to comfort him in her own way, she also often attempted to convince him to make things right with Astrid. Silco was always quick to shut these conversations down; gently but firmly. Jinx even tried to orchestrate a couple of ‘accidental meet ups’ between Silco and Astrid, although neither of these was successful. In fact, the second attempt went so badly wrong that it led to a big fall out between himself and Jinx; which sent the teenager spiralling similarly to how she did at the start of chapter 12.
It was this breakdown (paired with a well timed dream) that prompted Silco to finally seek Astrid out.
Sevika
Sevika commented on the whole Silco x Astrid breakup situation exactly two times during those three months (and neither of those times was particularly because she had much choice in the matter).
The first occurrence was the second Friday after Astrid was fired.
For months, the unspoken rule amongst Silco’s staff had been that Friday nights were off-limits; The Eye of Zaun was not to be disturbed unless absolutely necessary, and even then only Sevika truly had the guts and authority to do the disturbing. After news arrived that one of their topside agents had gotten themselves arrested, Sevika had gone up to his office to find him… not there. He hadn’t been in his bedroom either. But a quiet bump from his en-suite had prompted her to check the darkened bathroom. Sevika found the Eye of Zaun, absolutely plastered (like, one drink away from blacking out) laying in the empty bathtub, fully-dressed (though extremely rumpled), clutching a near empty bottle of bourbon.
She lost a bit of respect for him that night.
Still, their history runs deep, and despite his vicious protestations Sevika managed to haul Silco out of the tub.
“Get up.”
“Get out.”
“No. Lay s’much asa fimger on me an’ I’ll havey’u dead. I’ll fucking— Don’t— You’re fired.”
“Been chucking that phrase around a lot lately, haven’t you.”
He went quiet after that clap-back.
She managed to get him onto the bed and into a comfortable enough position to sleep off the booze and not choke on any that found its way back up. She’d intended to just leave it at that, but found herself speaking halfway out the door.
“I’m sorry things didn’t work out between the two of you. But what happened tonight cannot happen again. If you crumble, then so does the city, and I won’t let it happen. Zaun is my first priority. Not you.”
<long pause>
[quietly] “I understan’. G’dnigh, Sevika.”
“Night. Silco.”
To his credit, it didn’t happen again.
The second time Sevika comments on the whole thing I’ll reveal in more detail when I finally release my timeline of events. But what I will tell you now is that it occurred a couple of weeks after she and Astrid went for drinks (so about a month and a half into their 3 month separation) and involves a nightmare, a business meeting, and a pretty brothel boy.
Misc
Silco is highly adroit at concealing his hand. At appearing cold and uncaring. But the more attentive members of his team will have noticed a few changes in the man, even if they didn’t know the cause nor reason behind it:
During those three months Silco was quicker to anger. Not only that, but where his wrath had previously been icy, controlled, and calculated, it was now more akin to a hot flash in the pan. Hearing the raised voice of the Eye of Zaun suddenly wasn’t such a rarity anymore.
Silco’s work ethic increased from obsessive to dangerous. He’d work for days on end without rest; only stopping when he literally passed-out from exhaustion at his desk, and then picking up right where he left off the instant he came-to. He survived primarily on a diet of whiskey and cigars, and only ate when Sevika forced him to. Within weeks of Astrid’s departure, Max was commissioned to craft a pair of suspenders to be worn beneath Silco’s waistcoat, because his trousers no longer fit.
Silco’s routine became erratic, and would flip on a dime. There were some weeks where it felt as though he never once set foot inside the drop, and other weeks where he holed up in his office like a hermit. Towards the end of those three months it was very much the latter – though that could be attributed to the sudden rise in assassination attempts.
His usually razor sharp mind appeared at times… dulled. It took him longer to construct those careful, trademark responses, and even in silence he didn’t always seem 100% present.
He refused to hire a replacement barkeep. His excuse being that budget didn’t allow for a new hire after the losses of the blackout riot.
Anyway there you have it! I hope that answered your question and gave you a bit more insight into Silco’s life during that three month separation. But there’s definitely a lot more to tell there, and I’m politely asking my brain to pull itself together enough to tell you all about it 🥲💜

Despair
One Word Prompt (Jinx's Diary Entry)
CW:Brief mention of torture
══════════════════
My Ekko is an actor.
He loves to perform every day.
He pretends that he's fine to his community and presents them with a dazzling smile.
Everyone sat in box seats while I had front-row seats to everything he was going through.
They begrudgingly agreed to let me stay before I came here. That's how good of a leader he is.
Get their hated enemy to stay in their sanctuary all because he was in love with me to give me a second chance.
He didn't tell them that. I figured that was his other reason for having me after we started dating.
I didn't come here for their forgiveness nor expect them to even if I did care.
The crazy, sadistic, psycho they resented was the one to comfort him during his time of need.
When he was on the brink of despair I was the one that had to pull him out before he drowned in it.
Their cheerful leader told me about violent ways he wanted to kill the chembarons and the enforcers.
I told him about Singed gleefuly operated on me when I woke up in the middle of the surgery. He wanted to join me in finding him and torturing him.
I know it's because he loves me. I also know he wants revenge on the man for creating the drug that ravaged our town.
Even though he loved his people and the secret community he created-he sometimes felt lonely. He missed all of us and wished they were here.
All these people do is take and take AND TAKE.
Never ONCE stopping to think that their beloved, respected leader needed help like they do.
The only worthwhile person here is Scar. We hated each other but eventually, he became our mutual friend.
I hate Heimerdinger the most. I'll never understand him letting a Piltie here.
Ekko has too much of a big heart. It's what I admired about him but also found frustrating.
I tucked him in and kissed his forehead. He's sleeping next to me right now.
Sometimes we both have restless nights. Our nightmares terrorize us and the only safe place was to stay awake.
He hadn't tossed and turned, his face didn't scrunch up, and he wasn't crying yet. I hope he sleeps peacefully throughout the night.
He just finished crying over Benzo and wanted me to comfort him. He hates Silco but lets me cry to him about it.
Uncle Benzo was his father and we both loved him. If I never grabbed those crystals I would have never met Silco.
We still would have had our Dads.
He doesn't blame me because we didn't know the fallout would happen.
He blames himself for even telling Vi. He feels like he ruined everything in our lives.
My poor, sweet angel.
It is my fault.
I'm sorry, Ekko.
I ruin everything I touch yet haven't managed to keep you so far.
That's what angels do. They're able to perform miracles.
He's my world.
He's the air that I breath
He's my everything.
If Ekko gets killed because of me then I might as well die too.
I'll only seal your death if I say it aloud but I love you.
I love you SO much that despite Silco scolding me, I let myself become weak around you.
You ARE my weakness.
He hates you for it.
You're my baby.
I love you unconditionally and want to take care of you. You're precious to me and I savour the time we spend together.
I love you, Little Man.♡
I love you.♡
I love you.♡
I love you.♡
I'll always be your girl just like you promised.♡
I'm yours just as much as you are mine.♡
Forever and always.♡

very, very heavy sigh. I need to speak on silco again. this isn't a response, but it is a bit of a follow up to my last message as this kin. I Interacted With Source Again and its forced me to reconsider so much.
I still hate silco. i hate everything he did. to zaun. to her. but I. I don't. and thats the worst part. I don't hate him. not hating him means I have to accept the fault of what I did. how I hurt him. how my anger led him to do every single terrible thing he ever did. maybe I could have stopped him. maybe I couldn't have. it doesn't make what I did to him right, nothing ever will.
I'll never forgive him. but I can't hate him.
I thank him for raising powder. even if I truly still believe his influence on her hurt her so much, I can't just blame him for what happened to her, because that would be treating her the exact way I treated him. if I admit powder can be helped, I have to admit silco could have been too. and I should have. powder/Jinx should be loved for everything that she has done, all the people she has hurt, not in spite of it.
I just hope vi didnt make the same fucking mistake as me. I hope she never gave up on her, never turned on her, never let the idea that she was a monster win. turning my back on silco was the worst mistake I ever made.
I don't regret choosing my family, I don't regret doing everything I could to minimize harm in the undercity, I don't regret looking after my people in the way I saw right, and I still believe he was horribly fucking wrong. but I regret hurting him. and all I can do now is live with that mistake.
and while I'm here I really want to say to jinx, wherever she is. I still don't think you're a jinx, and you'll always be powder to me, but I understand now that to you that name holds a lot of weight. I still love Jinx, for every mistake shes ever made, every person shes hurt, and every single thing she think shes done wrong. I know she'll never be the same as that girl that I raised, but I still love her, every part of her, and I'd never change her.
and to silco, I wish I had realized that same thing for you. maybe things could've ended differently for us.
-Vander, Arcane/league of legends, who just a Miserable rewatch of season one. who im sure will have to shift his fucking opinions again after he watches s2. i need a drink.

Who are the first 3 people the mun thinks about when asked for blog recommendations? (Vi)
Muse Speaks about the Mun||Accepting.
"Panda, Bli and Scotty", Vi said like a shot, "They are the first three Muns, Miss T would think about when it comes to recommending anybody. I am gonna start with explaining why Scotty first, simply because they are the outlier if we go by fandom." Vi pursed her lips and ruffled a hand through her magenta bangs.
"Scotty - or as their URL on Tumblr says @countlessrealities - has been one of Miss T's oldest roleplaying partners and buddies", Vi explained, "They have been rping together since Miss T's Good Omens' days, so that's at least a couple years by now. During that time, Miss T tried out many different fandoms and muses and Scotty was always by her side. For Miss T, that is a sign of a good friendship.
"On the rp related note, Miss T also just likes how Scotty writes. Even if she does not know much about Rick and Morty, she can appreciate the passion and creativity, Scotty puts into their work. Much like Miss T, Scotty is a storyteller and world builder. Those are traits, she really likes in a writer. And Scotty is very good at depicting the unique quirks - including speech patterns - in their characters. Plus Rick and Morty just create a very unique rping dynamic by being who they are. Sure, getting used to them takes a bit, but you gotta appreciate the nuances, Scotty pulls off."
"Miss T knows Bli, whom you will know as @jynxd, the shortest so her wanting to recommend her says a lot." Vi tsked in bemusement. "Like by Janna, they bonded quickly. Come to think of it: That ain't really a surprise. Miss T and Bli both are incredibly dark in their narrations and muses. They think scarily similar. They basically love to make stuff really bad for the muses in question, which sucks. At the same time, Miss T clearly enjoys bouncing ideas off with them. Bli was the first person to suggest some ideas for Zaun, which Miss T actually did not shut down."
She flexed her fingers and tested the puffer effect of her Atlast gauntlets. Vi admitted: "I can't blame her for it though. Miss T put a lot of work into the way her Zaun affects all of us. She became very protective over it due to this. So the fact that she allowed Bli to suggest things and found them fitting... Again, that just shows that Bli knows what Miss T is going for. Something, she deeply appreciates."
"Outside of that, Miss T also is in awe at Bli's writing. She loves how detailed and varied it is. She adores how layered each of Bli's characters is. My sister has grown ridiculously attached to Bli's Silco, much to my chagrin. I can't fault her for it though. After Miss T got ousted, she very much didn't have a proper Silco for my sister, so the fact that Bli began writing that two-faced asshole makes her very happy. Just as Miss T's Silco clearly has affections for Bli's Jinx. At least, Ekko has his head in the right spot. If he ain't high on Shimmer."
Vi's smile merged into a chuckle as she admitted: "Panda, whom you know as @ferinehuntress, share a history together and that shows a lot. They have been through some quite rough bullshit and they were each other's rocks through some really turbulent times. Those experiences glued them stronger together than most roleplay partners. I ain't exaggerating when I say that Panda is one of Miss T's best friends on this side and they are incredibly close for an online friendship."
Vi's eyes drifted into the distance as she recounted: "Miss T was originally drawn to Panda because of how well she wrote. Her writing style made Miss T really excited, even if back then, she didn't care much for Caitlyn. I am not sure who followed whom first, but Miss T actually allowed me to get to know a Caitlyn. I am not exaggerating when I say that without Panda and her Cupcake, I wouldn't even really be here. Sure, I may have been a muse, but I would have been not nearly as strong as I am nowadays. Plus, Panda got Miss T excited about shipping me and Cait. Which is pretty unusual as she is more a fan of toxic and dark ships."
"Panda's world-building is no small feat", Vi concluded, "They have some of the most creative lore and headcanons the Mun has ever seen. Their Piltover is very much what Miss T envisions nowadays whenever she thinks about Piltover. It ties into her version of Zaun far too well. That amazing world-building is backed up by characters, which are just as complex and nuanced and beautifully constructed. Miss T can talk with Panda about so many creative things and she never gets tired of it."
