Desi asks number 3? I have not yet had the pleasure of visiting India, and always love seeing it through the eyes of those who know it best.
You sent an ask, you get a candy 🍬 <33
3. Favourite Indian city ?
my guy, I'll tell you this right now, but my parents are not much for traveling. They like it but they don't like paying for it. So the number of places I have seen in india is very, very less.
Where I live is just a terrible place, so never mind that. And among the very few I have visited, I loved my visit to sikkim. I'll just tell you, that state is goddamn gorgeous. But since you said city, my favorite is gangtok, which is the capital of sikkim.
Man that place is so fucking beautiful. They even have a "mal" which, idk how to describe it, is like a street sort of thing which doesn't have roads and stuff, and has many local shops and great restaurants and there are no cars allowed. You have to park your car somewhere and then climb around 100 or 200 steps, i don't remember, and then you enter "mal". There are benches where you can sit and stuff and idek how to describe it, I was literally speechless when I first saw it.
And then there is a lake a few km away from gangtok, called tsongmo lake, and it's so pretty. There are waterfalls and snow and when you reach the lake, which is huge and so so beautiful btw, you can even go on a yak ride and pet the yaks. And before you reach the lake, you can stop by some local shop-like places, where you can buy cooked or packed food and drinks (but like super warm stuff, they give you a chilli sauce that burns through your tongue but that is exactly what you need in that temperature) and eat them there and then leave. And you can rent jackets and boots and stuff, and the people are literally so nice and sweet
So yeah, if you come to India, please please visit sikkim, cuz my words are not enough to give justice to its beauty
