So I caught word that an occult shop had opened near me. Like, 10 minutes away near me. The next closest is an hour away, so I decided to give it a little visit to see if it's worthwhile.

And, uh. No.

Mass-produced dream catchers and white sage abound, and the dude's a creep. And he's got a basket full of stickers made of stolen art at his checkout. Fuckin... gross.

I long for the day there's a shop near me that's focused on local craft instead of the mass-market, love and light, appropriated craft. Somebody doing real magic in the shop, not just selling a product to unwary newbies. You feel me?

Sigh. I wish I had my PlayStation so I could play DAI a bit. I have a couple of really good ideas for the DAI AU (it’s Redcliffe man. I want to write that part so bad) but I haven’t played through the Hinterlands for a bit and want a refresher.

I just wanta write and think about it so bad but I’m currently in the truck with my trainer so I can’t. I want to pace around and plan out Chloe’s reaction to killing someone for the first time or how she’s going to deal with the entire ‘I went into the future and it sucked’ and the realization of exactly how painful it is to watch someone you love die in front you even when it becomes undone.

I have thoughts! I want to pace !!!

I would just like to say that what happened to my sweet and glorious Vander is a crime. I think about Vander multiple times a day at current 😂😭 I love that fictional man, and what they did to him in every sense - I’m sick.

He is basically tortured for years - “Saved” from the brink of death to be made into a horrendous monster who would do unspeakable things. Vander would have given his life for his people, he would never intentionally harm them.

Then he is able, with an inconceivable amount of mental strength and love, to remember his girls - His family, and they are the catalyst to regaining his sanity - to regaining himself to some degree.

ALL FOR THEM TO COMPLETELY REMOVE THE LAST OF THE LITTLE OF HIM THAT WAS IN THAT MONSTER AND KILL HIM. HE SUFFERED FOR WHAT?????? FOR WHAT DID THE MOST HEROIC DAD DIE??????

And to top it all off - The “body” that remains then attacks his girls??????????!!!?!!?! The TWO people in the whole world he loved more than anything else.

Vander, you’re not real, but this world owes you an apology for all of your suffering and I love you 😭
