one thing I really love about the heathers proshot is how rory phelan plays ram cause it’s like very obvious that his ram has feelings for martha but can’t admit those feelings due to the social hierarchy. like during big fun, he’s confused as to why she’s there and then tries to give her genuine advice before making a big show about the cider she brought. he does something that shows he cares and then to save face he insults her so people don’t think he’s associating with her in a positive way. then later on after he dies, kurt teases him about martha and his reaction to the teasing isn’t a “ew why would I like martha dumptruck” it’s “stop teasing me about my crush :(” and I kinda love that interpretation of the character

I love Ram so much. What an absolute fucking TREASURE that man is. His book hoard, his soft voice, his sweetness, the way he fucking just DIES INSIDE whenever he has to hurt someone to move closer to his goal. In spite of every soul-crushingly awful thing he has to do to get closer to that armory, he never loses his humanity. He tries to suppress it, he sometimes even thinks that he wants to lose it, but he just can’t. Enter AKHTAR, and Ram suddenly awakens to feelings he hasn’t had since childhood: Joy, safety, affection, sweetness, pleasure. It changes his life!!! His BODY responds so adorably to the shift while he’s falling in love, like. He beams these gorgeous, blinding smiles fucking CONSTANTLY. He literally SKIPS instead of walking. He feels so loved by Akhtar, and he’s so not used to it, he can barely contain himself! It’s so beautiful. RAM is so beautiful.

My heart just positively SHATTERS when he learns the truth and has that breakdown in his flat. Such raw emotion, such deep, piercing agony. He thought he finally had one thing in his life that wasn’t ruled by his struggle, his mission. The way his entire world falls apart when he realizes he was wrong just shows you how much Bheem means to him. And how much his father means to him!!! The men in Ram’s life are the sources of his greatest love, and his deepest pain. He just wants to do right by them. He is my precious baby boy and his journey in RRR is highkey the most inspiring and beautiful character arc I’ve ever seen. The complete transformation, the complete healing, the actualization of himself as PART OF A WHOLE, not as an individual. The realization of his goal THROUGH BHEEM!!! His love for Bheem as the source of his victory!!!! It’s so GOOOODDDDDDD

like considering the circumstances i expected a legit enemies to lovers kind of arc with a lot of hostility and tension between them but ??? it's just been soft ??? and lovey dovey as if he and devi can't wait to get married ??? like

very irritating tbh that devi has just Forgotten at this point that he's enemy no 1 and the one leading the colonization of her country like 😭 girl wake tf up!!

plus the whole plot of the book is taking him down but suddenly it feels like he's an ally and everyone's okay with his presence i'm so ???

feels like the writing for samsara overall has gone down the drain lately smh i'm not nearly as invested in it as i was before
