7: Have you ever made up your own language?

Yes, multiple times. As a small child I used to speak Forward Roll, which was basically gibberish. The only consistent word that I can remember is faipassa, a kind of fox. Later on I also invented Schlatsko, the language of an imaginary island, Schlak, situated between Iceland and Greenland. This was their national hymn, with translation:

O Gebrutska, gerits gara shir Gebrutska, gara gara shag O Gebrutska, rin gara shir Gebrutska ritsa fur mir.

Oh Gebrutska (the Schlatsko national dish), a very tasty dish Gebrutska is very very good Oh Gebrutska, really very tasty Gebrutska is everything I need.

In my early teens, after discovering Lord of the Rings, I made up my own form of Elvish, largely inspired by Scandinavian languages. Here is a sample poem (of which I’ve unfortunately lost the translation):

Leithei a hairathani E thinta leni a ra Leithei a sintathani E miere sinsin ista.

More recently, after I started learning ancient languages, I created a few sample texts as part of novel worldbuilding. Here is one of the more elaborate texts, in two different dialects:

Haruta Rama re Shupu re ranemarani ere ahhepi ashi Tuwane qato keneta puraqqo wetuni. Rame shaturi Tuwani ere hama su nepa keneta puraqqo ituni putikko. Arinisu Teqawapo Ramo re Murushupiqi Shupi re. (Rama dialect)

Haruda Rama re Shubu re ramarani ere ahebi ashi Duwane qado keneda buraqo weduni. Rame shaduri Duwani ere hama su neba keneda buraqo iduni butiko. Arinisu Deqawabo Ramo re Murushubi Shubi re. (Shubu dialect)

Rama and Shubu have signed a treaty and agree to cease hostilities around Tuwani for the time of two years. Tuwani belongs to Rama, and both parties swear not to transgress the border for the time of two years. Word of Teqawapa of Rama and Murushubi of Shubu.
