When Hitomi does something no one can stop her.Shousuke is quite was always.Trying to slip away when Hitomi not paying attention to him but her iron grab,always seems to find its way to his collar.

Shousuke wanted nothing more to spend the day with you.Instead Hitomi had other ideas and went behind Shousuke’s back and made plans for him to hangout with people,dragging you along with them.

“Ok first we have to go to Ai, Shousuke and her are going to do Create decorations with her.” Hitomi said, arriving at a classroom.

By the end of decorating,Hitomi had to go somewhere to get something and made Ai to go with her.Which left you and Shousuke alone.

You both still hang up decorations,until it got to the mistletoe.The two of you were right under it.

Do keep in mind,Shousuke has no need to keep traditions when it comes to mistletoes but you’re his lover.So it won’t kill him to do it just this once.It’s the holidays and no one is here.

Onemine is not just Otori’s keeper. Sure, she plays that role a lot, but she’s a big sister to the whole class, not just its slowest member. That’s why it bugs me so much that the Quirk GT gave her seems designed around what would work best with Otori’s, rather than anything related to Onemine herself.

So. Onemine’s Quirk. I think she should have a support Quirk, given how readily she supports every member of her class. I’m inclined to have her specific Quirk be a Quirk that adjusts other Quirks. I realize this is the third time I’ve referenced Worm, but I’m imagining something like Citrine can do, except focused on individuals rather than areas, and with more focus on the power side than the physics side.

Offensively, this can be used to neutralize an opponent’s Quirk or even turn it against them. But she prefers to use her Quirk on her allies, to help “tune” their ability to the current situation and/or to mitigate its backlash. She could make Komi’s telekinesis easier to control at the expense of strength, for instance, or reduce the backlash from straining Manbagi’s hands at the cost of coordination. It’s not an even trade—they generally get more than they give up, if that’s what Onemine’s going for—but nothing comes for free.

This comes at a cost, of course; using the tuned Quirk drains Onemine. I’m torn between having it be a simple generic cost, like “using tuned Quirks makes Onemine more tired,” and saying that she takes a share of the backlash from the tuned power; the latter is more interesting and specific, but it also lets her tune those Quirks that don’t really have backlash with no consequences. Maybe a little of both? Or maybe it only does the first, but Onemine can (and often does) split the backlash between herself and the tuned person?

One way or another, Onemine has a Quirk-supporting Quirk.

This seems like as good a time as any to consider the younger siblings, Tadano Hitomi and Komi Shousuke. I like how their dynamic mirrors that of their older siblings in some key ways, while fundamentally being very different. (In a darker timeline, this is how Komi and Tadano’s relationship comes off and the series is canceled after a couple dozen chapters.) Anyways, just as there’s a strong sibling resemblance between the protagonists and their siblings, but also some important differences, so it should be with their siblings’ Quirks.

On the surface, Shousuke looks like Komi (that is, Shouko). They’re both quiet, aloof, and antisocial. However, Komi can’t communicate with others (by conventional means), whereas Shousuke simply doesn’t want to. That’s an important distinction!

Quirkwise, Komi’s telekinesis frequently goes out of control (when she loses focus), but it’s capable of some powerful stuff. So Shousuke’s should at least look like it’s going out of control. But just as Shousuke doesn’t share Shouko’s struggle with social situations, so he doesn’t with superpowers.

So perhaps his Quirk lets him create “telekinetic fields” where things get dragged around, but can’t control exactly what’s moved or where it’s moved. That’s good enough to prevent his Quirk from activating when he doesn’t want it to (whereas Shoko has to worry about losing control under stress), and it’s useful for battering villains with random stuff, but it has obvious limitations.

Contrasting Hitomi to Tadano (that is, Hitohito), Hitomi is much more extroverted, but also worse at reading people. (Key example: She just assumes Shousuke is like Shouko, despite the fact that he’s exactly what he looks like.) There’s less similarity between her and her brother, so their Quirks don’t need to be as similar.

Her power would be more people-oriented, and more physically oriented. The former reflects her extrovert nature, straightforward. The latter means she has an excellent sense of where things are, but lacks her brother’s intuition of where they might be going. Unlike Hitohito, this Quirk lets Hitomi sense people who aren’t in her immediate vicinity. Also, considering canon!Hitomi’s judo skill, having an innate understanding of people’s stance, weight distribution, and so on would make her an unexpectedly potent force in a brawl, able to control the fight by having a better understanding of her opponents’ body mechanics than most of said opponents.

I could cover Ai, Katai’s little sister, but her Quirk would be as straightforward as his, on top of having a family resemblance. Hers would probably be offensively-oriented, contrasting Katai in Quirk as she does in personality.

GT gave Yadano a Quirk-copying Quirk, like Monoma’s, with the caveat that the copied Quirks are always just a little weaker than the Quirk she copies. That’s a very good Quirk for Yadano, but it would be unoriginal even if I hadn’t copied this idea from someone else to begin with.

Let’s look at this from another angle. Yadano is supremely confident in her abilities, but always fails. So perhaps she should have a Quirk that is potent on paper, but with a drawback that will inevitably kick in and reduce the Quirk’s effectiveness.

So consider this: Yadano has an extremely destructive Quirk, perhaps something like slinging fireballs around. However, it gets weaker the more people are paying attention to Yadano. So in an ambush or a one-on-one duel, it could be an effective combat Quirk. The problem is, of course, that fireballs are very eye-catching; Yadano would get one or two full-power blasts off, before those blasts caught people’s attention, sapping her Quirk’s power.

This Quirk isn’t useless, obviously, but it doesn’t lend itself to most straightforward uses. And it certainly doesn’t lend itself to any use by someone who aggressively demands to show that she’s the best (when she is, in fact, demonstrably not).

GT’s Quirk for Otori—a zone around her where things slow down—is pretty much what I’d do. I’d change some of the details (like having projectiles &c actually lose momentum inside of Otori’s slow zone, and possibly some psychological effect on people stuck inside...like Winter from Worm, come to think of it). At the end of the day, sometimes the obvious answer is obvious because it’s right.

Boku no Komyoshou Academia

(Roughly, “My academia communication disorder”. Japanese is not my strong suit.)

I saw this Tumblr post from 2019, assigning extremely detailed Quirks to several Komi-san characters. I dislike most of the Quirks, but I think that comes down to philosophical differences about what Quirks should be, in relation to the characters that hold them. So try not to view this as a correction so much as an alternate take.

Also, I’m not going to go into nearly as much detail as general-thinks did. I’m not planning a fic, I’m having fun imagining how one series’s characters could mesh with another series’s mechanics. (And I’m going to fit all of this into one post.)

I really, really like GT’s Quirk for Komi. Her Quirk should be as flashily powerful as Bakugo’s, putting her as firmly at the center of attention as she is in canon (just for a different combination of reasons). Telekinesis works pretty well for that (and also I really like that power). Worrying about it going out of control feels like a pretty natural extension of Komi’s anxieties about interacting with people into the superhero genre.

Not all Quirks have backlash, and the risk of going out of control seems like a sufficient Achilles heel to me. I’d probably frame losing control as a matter of focus rather than emotions, but that has pretty similar effects from a narrative perspective.

Telepath Tadano? Good start. But GT takes that in a weird direction. Tadano’s thing is that he can read the room well, and also that he’s a boringly nice kind of guy. I could just say “he reads minds” and leave it at that, but that would be boring!

Instead, let’s refocus around the “awareness” thing. On one hand, Tadano’s Quirk makes him aware of things other than thoughts (like locked doors, traps, or broken machines). On the other hand, it only helps with things in his immediate situation; it can tell him if opening the door will trigger a bomb, but not what’s on the other side.

Also, this means that Tadano can only read certain kinds of thoughts—specifically, the ones that might get put into action. This is more than enough for dealing with supervillains, and he backs his power up with his mundane cold-reading, but this drawback allows Tadano to remain oblivious to girls with crushes on them, as long as they are too anxious to act on them.

Overuse of his Quirk makes it harder and harder for Tadano to think about anything outside his current situation. For instance, this makes it hard for him to create, remember, or follow long-term plans. (Think Denki’s brain-frying, except more specific, more gradual, and also he starts with higher base stats.)

I have no idea why the hell GT decided to focus on Najimi’s genderfuck expression over their everyone’s-childhood-friendliness, or why they decided that a hormone-based Quirk was the best way to do that, but they did all of that and I won’t do any of it. Najimi can just be genderfluid or whatever without it needing to be a superpower, dammit.

Anyways, the first thing that comes to mind is that canon!Najimi already demonstrates several low-level superpowers in canon, such as the ability to maintain several conversations at once and somehow having made roughly a thousand friends per day.

But there’s a relatively simple superpower that would make this logistically less ridiculous: Duplication. This Najimi can make more Najimis; pretty simple. Also, they can duplicate just part of their body—for instance, having three upper bodies on the same hips to let them look and talk in three directions. To state the obvious, these duplicates obviously also duplicate their clothes and such.

This has two downsides. First, Najimi has to control all of their bodies with just one mind. They can coordinate ~5 bodies better than you’d expect, especially if they’re all in one place, but by the time they have a dozen running around they’re visibly clumsier, and around 25 they stop being able to really do anything except swarm in a general direction.

The second downside is energy. All of Najimi’s copies draw on the same “pool” of energy. If they spend all day split across four bodies, they need to eat four times as much food. This affects devices that Najimi duplicates, too—if all four of them are texting, their phones run out of charge four times faster (though they would also charge four times faster if all four were plugged in).

I’m not sure how this would apply to fatigue. Mental exhaustion is easy—Najimi only has one mind—but what about physical? If all four Najimis run a mile and then recombine, does Najimi need to rest four times as long? Probably not, given how energetic Najimi is...unless they leave a couple bodies at home napping and that’s where their energy comes from?

This could have some impact on combat—like, maybe Najimi’s energy limits how long they can fight with a whole bunch of bodies at some critical juncture—but it’s mostly comedic in purpose. You know, Najimi swiping Tadano’s food and claiming they need it to power their Quirk, or spending a ridiculous sum on take-out, or just justifying how they can eat lunch five times with five different people.

Weirdly omitted by GT is Manbagi, the series tritagonist starting some time in its second school year. Why GT included Sasaki Ayami and Katou Mikuni but left out Manbagi Rumiko is beyond me.

Anyways. Manbagi is pretty genki, though obviously not to Najimi’s chaotic levels. She’s also insecure, and specifically sees herself as inferior to Komi once the love triangle rears its less-ugly-than-expected head. So I’m imagining a literally flashy, light-based power, one that’s comparable to Komi’s and seems significantly worse.

Manbagi’s Quirk creates glowing hands that can pick things up. Obviously, this is comparable to Komi’s ability to pick things up with her telekinesis, but it seems inferior because the hands are weaker than Komi’s telekinesis. They’re only as strong as Manbagi’s own arms, after all.

But she can create a lot more than two, and coordinate them pretty well—not as well as Worm’s Skitter, but far better than Najimi controls their duplicates. It also doesn’t risk going out of control if she loses focus, which is obviously an asset in combat situations. Finally, they can do other things hands do, like sign language or punching, which Komi would struggle to emulate due to her control issues.

Anyways, while Manbagi can create more than two hands, they’re still connected to her arms in a sense. Lifting heavy weights with the hands strains her arms, doing overly complicated maneuvers causes cramps, crushing several of the hands at once might break bones, etc. These drawbacks can be alleviated through training, both by increasing Manbagi’s arms’ strength and endurance and by practice that weakens the harmful sympathetic link. (Somehow. Lots of Quirks get better with overuse with no explanation except a metaphor.)

I could go farther, but this post is already too long. I'll return later for some of the supporting cast. Until then, have some quick Quirk and hero names.

In the beginning of your guys relationship,Shousuke wanted to keep it a secret.Only because he didn’t want people to bother him or you (or for you to get hurt by other jealousy.)But the first people to have to found out or tell is his family.

Shousuke tried to avoid bring you to his family because they can be a lot to handle:His mother who is so hyperactive and talkative,his father who is a man of very words and very intimidating,and finally his sister,who is to afraid to talk to anything and turns into a mess on the spot.

These are the reason Shousuke doesn’t want you to meet his family.It’s to much of a hassle to do,but when you started to dated Shousuke,he started to act strange.(To his family at least.)Shousuke’s mother notice that Shousuke unusual behavior ;Leaving the house more,always very happy energy or a lovey-dovey one,actually getting up to go to school without being dragged out of bed,having sleepover at his “friends” more,staying after school to hangout with someone.

To Shūko (Shousuke mother) she knew that this is not just a “friend” that Shousuke is see so often.She knows what it looks like when someone is in love especially her own baby boy,for that matter.So when she realizes this,she had to meet this special someone who her little boy is seeing.

This brings us to where Shūko is bothering Shousuke non-stop of being ask things like; “Shousuke,where are you heading to?” “You’re up so early that unlike you,are really that happy to go to school or happy to go to see a certain someone?~” “Going to sleepover at your friends house? Well I hope you have a amazing time with your “FRIENDS” place dear.”

This drive Shousuke insane.He knew she would never stop until she could meet you.So that brought Shousuke to bring you to his house to meet his family.(He wanted his mother to stop with her nonsense and have some peace and quiet in his own home.) Shousuke really did drag you to his house to meet his family.

Shousuke didn’t tell them that he was bring you over so it was a surprise to everyone when they saw you.Of course Shūko was the first to see you when Shousuke dragged you through his front doors.

When Shūko saw you she knew that you where the love that Shousuke had been seeing,she knew this for two reasons: one.Shousuke would never bring someone home if she didn’t make him bring someone and two.She saw Shousuke holding you hand as well (It became a habit of his.)

Shousuke did got a little embarrassed that his mother was acting like this,even though his use to it.Just feels a bit to much at the moment for Shousuke to deal with when your around.

It took awhile for Shūko to stop talking about how you met?What got you to like Shousuke?life?Marriage?Even having kids maybe? And by this alone made Shousuke drag you away from all the annoying and embarrassing questions.

Shūko started to make dinner since she insisted that you would join them tonight,you could even have a chance to answer when she went straight to the kitchen to start dinner.Supposedly you’re staying then.

After about three minutes later someone was coming down stairs,it was Shouko (Komi-San.) She saw you and froze on the spot when she laid eyes on you.Shousuke and you were sitting on the couch together and not only that,you were talking and he actually look interested and you two were sitting too close to be “just friends.”

Shouko didn’t know what to do but after a mini-panic attack she wanted to say “Hello,my name is Shouko.Shousuke older sister,nice to meet you.” But it came out as stumble and stutters of words.Shouko finally realized that she can write it down for you and before you can say anything back to her,she ran and hid beside her mother like a little kid.

Shouko was freaking out of what you think of her.Like,what if you thought she was weird? If you didn’t like her and didn’t wanted to come over ever again? Or even worse you break up with Shousuke because of her! If that would happen she would never forgive herself for messing up a little brother first ever relationship.

Finally,there is Masayoshi (Shousuke’s father.) You can tell Shousuke mostly takes after his father: Blank face,very few words,handsome, mysterious aura,good at everything.It’s really is like a min Masayoshi just little better (a lot) than him.

When Masayoshi came home and saw you he thought it was strange but not that strange,since his wife always wants to have people over so they can talk to her and Praise her food.But when Shūko said that you were Shousuke lover,he turned into the tough, intimidating dad.

Masayoshi not going to let anybody just date his son if they aren’t good enough for him.His son only deserves the best,especially since it’s his first relationship and he isn’t going to let someone break his heart.

Masayoshi was very scary and didn’t say much things,he wanted to prove to you that his the bigger dog and that he isn’t messing around.When Shousuke sense this he stood even closer to you and didn’t like that his father is trying to Intimidate you.(Hopefully you didn’t mind how both of them were acting.)

By the time that dinner starts,everyone was starting to warm up to you.Shūko of course love you;talking to her,thanking her for the food and how good it is,even helping her with dinner beforehand as well.She demand you a really nice kid and she evens starts treating you as her child-in-law like you married Shousuke already.

Shouko took some more time but did warm up to you.She realize she had a strong relationship with you and you became her new sibling.She even started to talk to you with freaking out as much and she isn’t worry about you not liking her.

Masayoshi seem like the hardest to please but in reality he just wants you to like him and for you to be good person for his son.If you like what he talks about and how you notice how good he is at things with real interest than you are a good one in his book.

By the end of the day,everyone was happy and his family loved you so much.Shousuke was especially happy even if he doesn’t show it.He happy that his family likes you and approve of your guys relationship.A cute,beautiful couple.

Shousuke as a best friend,would first start out of him being force to be friends to you at the begin because of Hitomi.

Before his feelings for you,he was just dragged awhile by Hitomi and her being her also makes him to spend time with you.

But Shousuke did find you less annoying than anyone else he knows and that you don’t make him talk or do anything he hates.Also that you don’t ask him to eat lunch with you and that you know what he feels half the time.

Shousuke would absolutely love to get married and have a really nice home to be with you and only you.

Shousuke knows to cook very well. He can cook anything you want and it can be a like a 5 star chief made it.(It’s always fill with love and happiness.)

Shousuke likes a lot of alone time to analyze and categorize information.He can get so absorbed in his own thoughts that he see people as annoying distractions.He can become grumpy and overly-critical towards others as a result and lose-sight of the impact he has on them.

Shousuke also hates feeling stuck, trapped, or stifled,so if he feels your doing this to him and not giving him enough alone time than he would mostly likely disappear for a few days until you stop being really clingy.
