THIRD PERSON +
Y/N could still feel the sting of JJ's words, the way they sliced through her like a dull knifeâslow, painful, irreparable.
"It just happened, okay?" he had said, desperation laced in his voice. "It didn't mean anything, baby. I swear."
But it did.
If it had meant nothing, he wouldn't have done it. If it had meant nothing, he wouldn't have shattered her trust, her love, her belief in him with a single, reckless mistake.
She stared at him, chest rising and falling with the force of her breath, hands curled into fists at her sides. The night air was thick with humidity, the salty ocean breeze doing nothing to cool the fire burning inside her.
"You cheated on me with Kiara?" she spat, her voice trembling, though not with sadnessâno, sadness was something she'd felt the moment the words left his mouth. Now, it was only rage. "And you expect me to justâwhat? Pretend it didn't happen?"
JJ ran a hand through his messy blonde hair, looking more disheveled than usual. "I was drunk, Y/N. It wasn't planned. It wasn'tâ"
"Don't," she cut him off sharply. "Don't stand there and try to make excuses." She scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. "You know what hurts the most, JJ? It's not even just the cheating. It's the fact that I defended you to everyone. My parents, my friends. They all told me I was stupid for choosing a Pogue over every other guy who actually makes sense for me. But I didn't care, because I loved you."
Her voice broke, but she swallowed hard, forcing herself to keep it together.
"And what did you do with that?" she continued, taking a step closer, her eyes blazing. "You threw it in my face. You embarrassed me."
JJ's jaw clenched. "I never meant to hurt you, Y/N. You know that."
"Yeah? Well, you did."
Silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating.
Y/N could see it in his faceâthe guilt, the regret. But it didn't matter. It wasn't enough. It never would be.
She took a deep breath, exhaling shakily. "We're done, JJ."
His head snapped up. "Y/Nâ"
"Don't," she warned, her voice final. "You made your choice. Now I'm making mine."
And with that, she turned and walked away, not giving him the satisfaction of seeing her break.
She didn't cry.
Not when she got home, not when she lay in bed staring at the ceiling, not even when the memories of JJ and everything they had crashed over her like a tidal wave. No, she didn't cry.
She just got angry.
Because she had been loyal. She had been good to him. She had given him everything, only for him to betray her with Kiara of all peopleâthe one girl she had actually trusted.
And now? Now, she wanted him to hurt.
Which was exactly why she was standing in front of Tannyhill, her heart pounding in her chest.
This was reckless. Dangerous, even. But she didn't care.
She needed this.
She needed revenge.
And she knew just the person to help her get it.
â
Rafe Cameron was a lot of thingsâarrogant, temperamental, a little unhingedâbut he wasn't stupid.
So when Y/N showed up at his door at nearly midnight, looking like she was on the verge of either committing murder or breaking down completely, he knew something had happened.
He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest, blue eyes scanning her face. "What do you want, sweetheart?"
She swallowed, straightening her shoulders. "I need your help."
Rafe raised a brow. "With what?"
"Making JJ regret everything."
A slow smirk curled at the corners of his lips. "Interesting."
She exhaled sharply, stepping closer. "Are you in or not?"
He chuckled, shaking his head. "You really wanna do this?"
She met his gaze, unwavering. "Yeah, I do."
For a moment, he just studied her, as if trying to figure out how serious she was. Then, something shifted in his expression.
"Alright," he said, pushing off the doorframe. "Let's make him suffer."
The plan was simple.
Make JJ jealous. Make him see what he lost. Make him regret ever touching Kiara.
But some point during that evening, the lines blurred.
Because Rafe was Rafeâintense, intoxicating, dangerously charismatic. And Y/N was already teetering on the edge of self-destruction.
So when they ended up in his bedroom, the door slamming shut behind them, it wasn't just about JJ anymore.
It was about the way Rafe looked at her, like she was the most interesting thing in the room. The way his hands skimmed her waist, his touch possessive yet careful. The way his breath fanned against her skin, sending shivers down her spine.
"Still thinking about JJ?" he murmured, fingers tracing slow patterns on her hip.
She met his gaze, lips parted, heart pounding.
"No," she admitted, and it was the truth.
Because in that moment, it wasn't about revenge. It wasn't about making JJ jealous.
It was about the fire in her veins, the ache in her chest, the desperate need to feel something other than betrayal.
And RafeâRafe was more than willing to oblige.
His lips crashed against hers, and suddenly, nothing else mattered. Nothing except Rafe Cameron.
â
Y/N lay beside Rafe, her body still humming from the events of the night. The air between them was thick with something she couldn't quite nameâsatisfaction, exhilaration, maybe even something deeper. The sheets were a mess, tangled between them as she stared up at the ceiling, trying to steady her breathing.
Beside her, Rafe propped himself up on one elbow, smirking down at her. His hair was tousled, his lips still slightly swollen from their heated encounter. There was something different about the way he was looking at her, but Y/N shoved that thought away before she could entertain it. This wasn't about them. This wasn't about feelings.
It was about revenge.
"So, how do you wanna play this?" Rafe asked, tracing his fingers lazily over her bare shoulder.
Y/N turned her head to look at him, eyes sharp despite the haziness of their moment. "We make it obvious enough that JJ notices," she said, her voice steady, as if the way his touch sent shivers down her spine wasn't affecting her. "But not so obvious that it looks fake."
Rafe chuckled. "So, we make it look real then?"
Y/N hesitated. She knew what he was doingâhe liked to mess with her, push her buttons, see how far he could get under her skin. But she wouldn't let him win.
"Exactly," she said, rolling onto her side, meeting his gaze head-on. "You're his biggest enemy, and I'm his biggest mistake. Nothing will drive him crazier than seeing me with you."
Rafe's smirk widened. "You really are ruthless when you want to be."
"You have no idea."
Rafe hummed in amusement, and with that, their arrangement was set.
This was about JJ. About making him regret everything.
At least, that's what Y/N told herself.
â
The first time they made their "relationship" public, it was calculated. Rafe had picked her up from the country club in his Pogue-killer truck, windows down, music blastingâjust in time for JJ to see them as he passed by on his dirt bike.
JJ had stopped in his tracks, his eyes narrowing, jaw clenching so hard Y/N thought his teeth might break.
Rafe had played it up, resting his hand on her thigh, flashing JJ a taunting grin before speeding off.
Y/N had expected to feel triumphant.
Instead, her stomach twisted in a way she didn't understand.
â
The first time Rafe showed up early, it threw her off.
She had told him to meet her for coffee on a random Wednesday, expecting the usualâhim strolling in twenty minutes late, making some sarcastic remark, turning their little arrangement into something that felt like a joke.
But when she walked in, he was already there.
Sitting at a corner table, legs stretched out, arms crossed over his chest. And when he saw her, he stood up, gave her a small nod.
"You're early," she said, eyebrows raised.
"You sound surprised."
"I am surprised."
Rafe smirked, pulling out the chair for her. "Sit down, princess."
She hesitated before taking the seat, watching him as he slid into the chair across from her. It felt... strange. Unfamiliar.
JJ had never been early.
JJ had never pulled out her chair.
She shook the thought away, focusing instead on the game they were playing. That's all it wasâa game.
Still, she couldn't ignore the way her chest tightened when Rafe leaned back in his chair, looking at her like she was something worth paying attention to.
After they made their orders, they sat with their freshly brewed drinks.
"Didn't take you for a latte girl," he teased, nodding at her cup.
Y/N raised a brow. "Didn't take you for someone who hangs out anywhere that doesn't serve alcohol."
Rafe smirked. "Touché."
It should have been a quick meetingâjust another public sighting to stir the pot. But somehow, they ended up talking.
Really talking.
Y/N had expected him to flirt, to push the boundaries of their deal, but instead, they talked about their childhoodâabout summers spent at the club, about the times they'd been forced to sit at boring Kook events together as kids.
Rafe had made her laugh. Genuinely laugh.
She had almost forgotten why they were doing this in the first place.
â
A week later, he picked her up for a party, and she made a point to wear heels.
JJ had always hated when she wore them, always made a face, always grumbled something about her being too tall next to him.
But when she climbed into Rafe's truck, he barely glanced at them before smirking. "Damn," he muttered, eyes dragging up her legs. "Trying to make it harder for me to behave?"
She rolled her eyes, but her stomach did something weird. Something dangerous.
Rafe drove with one hand on the wheel, the other draped over her thigh, his fingers warm and steady.
It was meant to be for show.
For JJ.
So why did it feel like something else?
Later that night at the party, Y/N and Rafe were standing just close enough that people whispered.
JJ was across the yard, watching them with a glare so sharp it could cut through steel.
Y/N should have been paying attention to him, should have been relishing in the jealousy that was the whole point of this.
But instead, she was too focused on Rafe's hand on the small of her back. The way his thumb moved in slow, absentminded circles against her skin.
When she turned to look at him, he wasn't watching JJ.
He was watching her.
â
A couple days later, she almost slipped up.
They were walking down the street after grabbing dinnerâsomething casual, something that wasn't supposed to feel like a date.
She was about to bring up JJ, to remind herself why they were doing this in the first place.
But before she could, Rafe started talking about his family.
"My dad's obsessed with old westerns," he said, shaking his head. "Every Christmas, like clockwork, he makes us watch The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."
Y/N blinked. "Seriously?"
Rafe chuckled. "Swear to God. Every single year. Sarah and I know every damn line."
She found herself laughing, imagining Rafe and Sarah rolling their eyes as Ward Cameron sat in front of the TV, quoting the movie word for word.
JJ had never talked about things like that.
JJ had never let her in like that.
She pushed the thought away, but the seed had already been planted.
â
Then came the night that the shift between them had started to show.
It was late, and they were sitting on the hood of Rafe's truck, looking out over the water.
The party was still going strong down the beach, but they had drifted away from it, neither of them in the mood for drunken chaos.
Rafe took a swig from his beer, then turned to look at her.
"You ever gonna tell me why you were with him?"
Y/N frowned. "What do you mean?"
Rafe tilted his head. "I just don't get it. You're smart. You've got standards. And yet..." He let the sentence hang.
Y/N huffed, kicking a loose rock off the side of the truck. "He was... fun. He made me feel like I wasn't just another Kook girl. Like I wasn't just..." She trailed off, feeling stupid for saying it out loud.
Rafe was quiet for a second before saying, "He didn't deserve you."
She turned to look at him, expecting the usual sarcasm, but there was none. Just quiet certainty.
Her throat tightened.
"Yeah," she said softly. "I know that now."
And when Rafe threw his head back, laughing at something she said a few minutes later, she thought it was strange.
Strange that he thought she was funny.
Because JJ never did.
â
Another night, they found themselves in his truck, parked by the beach. It had started raining, heavy droplets drumming against the windshield, the air thick with the scent of salt and rain.
Y/N had been rambling about somethingâsome ridiculous Kook drama that, in the grand scheme of things, didn't actually matter.
And then, out of nowhere, Rafe had reached across the console and tucked a strand of damp hair away from her face.
Y/N had gone silent, her heart doing something it definitely shouldn't have been doing.
For a moment, there was nothing but the sound of the rain.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she had asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Rafe had only smirked. "No reason."
But there was a reason.
And it scared her.
She knew things were getting complicated when she started noticing things about him she shouldn't.
Like the way his voice softened when he said her name.
Or the way he always made sure she got home safe, even when they weren't together.
Or the way he never pushed her, never made her feel like this was just some game.
Somewhere along the way, the lines between their act and reality started to blur.
And Y/N wasn't sure if she was ready to figure out what that meant.
â
The moment that nearly shattered her resolve happened at another party.
They had been standing close, laughing about something she couldn't even remember now. And then, without thinking, she had reached up and brushed a piece of hair out of his face.
It had been instinctive. Natural.
But when she realised what she had done, her breath hitched.
Because Rafe was looking at her like she had just changed everything.
And maybe... maybe she had.
Y/N kept telling herself that this was just revenge.
That the way her stomach flipped whenever Rafe touched her was just part of the plan.
That the way she found herself looking for him in crowded rooms was just to keep up the act.
But deep down, she knew.
She had fallen for Rafe Cameron.
â
The room was still heavy with the lingering heat from the nightâsheets twisted around their legs, the soft hum of the air conditioning barely cutting through the thick humidity of the night. Y/N lay on her back, staring up at the ceiling, trying to process the whirlwind that had completely changed her life in the past few weeks.
Rafe lay beside her, his body close enough to feel the steady rise and fall of his chest as he breathed, but far enough that there was space between themâa silent invitation, as if asking her to fill it. His hand rested on his stomach, but his fingers were almost touching hers.
The silence stretched comfortably between them. It wasn't awkward. It wasn't forced. It felt...right.
Y/N turned her head to look at him, the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the window, casting a glow over his face. He was still as handsome as ever, his jaw sharp, eyes intense even when he was relaxed, and the faintest trace of a smile tugged at the corners of his lips. But it wasn't the same cocky smirk that had first drawn her inâthis was something different. It was real. It was genuine.
She couldn't stop herself from smiling too. "What are we doing, Rafe?" she asked softly, voice barely above a whisper.
Rafe turned his head, his blue eyes locking with hers. There was a quiet intensity in them, a look that said he knew exactly what she meant but wasn't sure how to say it either. "I don't know," he murmured, his voice rough with unspoken emotion. "But I think it's something good."
Y/N's heart fluttered, the vulnerability in his voice catching her off guard. Rafe was always the tough guy, the one who hid behind arrogance and bravado, the one who never let anyone see the cracks in his armor. But with her, it was different. She could see it nowâthe cracks were there, but they weren't flaws. They were pieces of him she could understand, pieces that were human, not just a cold façade.
She reached out, her hand finding his, fingers brushing gently over his knuckles. He didn't pull away. Instead, he laced their fingers together, holding her hand with a tenderness that surprised her.
"Do you regret this?" she asked, the words slipping from her lips before she could stop them. She had to know. There were so many things between them, so many things left unsaid, but that was the one question that had been haunting her the most. Did he regret it?
Rafe blinked, the intensity in his gaze softening as he turned his hand to squeeze hers. "No," he answered, his voice steady but with an underlying depth she couldn't ignore. "I don't regret it." He let out a breath, his gaze turning towards the ceiling, as if trying to find the right words. "I thought it was just supposed to be a game, you know? Make JJ jealous, show him that you could move on...but it's not a game anymore."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. Her mind raced. She didn't know how she felt about thatâabout the fact that it had started with a plan, a scheme, to get back at JJ for everything. But as the days passed, the more time she spent with Rafe, the more she realized just how much they had in common, how well they fit together.
Her fingers traced the lines of his hand as she spoke. "Neither did I," she confessed. "I started this thinking I'd get back at JJ, but...I don't know, something just changed. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being about him."
Rafe's eyes met hers again, a small smile playing at the edges of his mouth. "Yeah," he said, his voice low, but with warmth now. "I know what you mean."
They both lay there in the quiet, holding hands, letting the moment stretch out. There was something peaceful about itâsomething intimate that neither of them had ever expected when this all began. What started as a plan to make someone else jealous had somehow turned into something much deeper, something neither of them had seen coming.
Y/N shifted slightly, turning onto her side to face him fully. She couldn't deny how she felt anymore. The chemistry between them was undeniable, but it wasn't just that. It was the way they laughed together, the way he made her feel like she was the only person in the room, the way he protected her without even thinking.
"Rafe," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly, "I think I'm falling in love with you."
Her heart raced in her chest as soon as the words left her mouth. She had said it before, in the pastâI love youâbut never like this. Never in this way.
Rafe's breath hitched, his chest rising and falling a little faster now, and for a moment, he didn't speak. Instead, he reached out, gently cupping her face in his hands, as if needing to touch her to make sure she was real. His thumb brushed over her cheek, soft and slow, sending a wave of warmth flooding through her.
"You're not the only one," he whispered back, his voice thick with emotion. "I'm falling for you too, Y/N."
Her breath caught in her throat. The words she had always wanted to hear from him, the words she had never expected to come, were there now. And they were real.
Rafe leaned in slowly, his lips brushing against hers in a tender kiss, soft and slow, like he was savoring it. It wasn't heated or urgent like some of their previous kissesâit was gentle, sweet, and full of the unspoken feelings they had been holding back. It was everything they hadn't been able to say out loud.
When he pulled away, his forehead rested against hers, and they both just breathed, their hands still entwined, hearts racing in sync.
"I never thought I'd say this," Rafe said quietly, eyes closed as he let out a shaky breath, "but you make me feel like I'm actually worth something."
Y/N's chest tightened. She could feel the weight of his words, the vulnerability he was offering her. He had always been the guy who seemed so confident, so sure of himself, but in this moment, Y/N saw something different. She saw the cracks in his armor, the part of him that had never believed he was good enough for anythingâanyone.
And Y/N? She couldn't let him think that way. Not anymore.
"You are worth everything, Rafe," she whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. "More than you know."
For a long time, they stayed like thatâjust holding each other, letting the night wash over them, the silence comfortable and full of promises. There were no expectations, no pressure, just the understanding that something had changed. Something real had blossomed between them, and neither of them was running from it anymore.
"I've never felt like this before," Rafe admitted after a while, his voice soft but full of sincerity. "With you, it feels like...like I could actually have something real. Something that isn't just a mess."
Y/N smiled, her heart swelling with affection. "You have it, Rafe. You have me."
And for the first time in a long time, both of them believed it.
â
It had been a couple of weeks since the night Rafe and Y/N had finally confessed their feelings for each other. Their relationship had progressed quickly, but neither of them had hesitated. They had fallen for each other in a way that felt rightâorganic and effortless. The label was there, official now, and it felt like both of them had finally found what they were looking for.
But as expected, the whispers started circulating quickly. Word of their relationship had gotten out, and it wasn't long before people started noticingâespecially JJ.
The evening was warm and humid, a perfect night for a party at the Boneyard. The music was thumping, people were scattered around the yard, drinking and chatting, while others danced under the string lights. Y/N, Rafe, Topper, Sarah, and a few other Kooks were lounging around a table near the fire pit, drinks in hand, chatting casually. For the first time in weeks, Y/N felt at ease. There were no whispers, no judgment about her being with Rafeâonly the people she cared about and a sense of belonging she hadn't felt in a long time.
Y/N had spent most of her time with Rafe over the past couple of weeks, getting to know him in a way she never had before. She had always known the confident, rebellious side of him, but she was starting to see the softer sideâthe one who cared deeply and would go to any lengths to protect the people he loved. They had spent lazy days by the beach, late-night drives, and spontaneous trips to places that weren't on any map. She was falling for him harder every day, but it wasn't just the physical attraction. It was the little thingsâhow he cared about her, how he made her feel, how he treated her like she was everything. He had given her more than she could have ever imagined.
She glanced at Rafe as they laughed with Topper, Sarah, and the others, her hand naturally finding his under the table. Their fingers intertwined, and for a moment, she just savored the feeling of being with someone who made her feel seen, understood, and loved.
But as she was about to say something to Rafe, a familiar figure appeared in her peripheral vision. She stiffened. It was JJ.
JJ stormed over, his face a mixture of anger and desperation, his jaw clenched as he walked straight toward them. Y/N's heart skipped, not knowing what to expect. She knew this confrontation was comingâit was inevitable.
Rafe noticed it too, his hand tightening around Y/N's as JJ approached, but he didn't move. He didn't flinch. He stayed calm, but Y/N could see the subtle tension in his shoulders, his jaw tight as he prepared for whatever was coming.
"Y/N," JJ said, his voice loud enough to be heard over the music. His eyes were frantic, scanning her face. "We need to talk."
Y/N narrowed her eyes, her grip on Rafe's hand tightening. She could feel the anger brewing inside her, but she was trying to keep her composure. Rafe gave her a reassuring squeeze, his thumb brushing the back of her hand gently.
"I don't think we need to talk, JJ," Y/N said coolly, her voice steady despite the boiling fury inside her. "But if you really need to hear it from me, I'll tell you. I definitely don't want to be with you anymore."
JJ's eyes widened, his face contorting in disbelief. "What the hell, Y/N?" He snapped, glancing at Rafe briefly, his expression turning hostile. "This isn't about him, is it? You don't really like him. You're just trying to get back at me for what I did. It's all a game to you, isn't it?" His voice wavered, a hint of panic creeping into his words.
Y/N could feel the heat rise in her chest, but she didn't back down. "It's not a game, JJ. It's not about you anymore. It's about me." She stood up, her voice booming over the music, silencing the chatter around them. People had stopped what they were doing, watching the confrontation unfold.
"You're such a horrible person," Y/N continued, her words sharp and cutting. "You broke me, JJ. You cheated on me with Kiaraâour friend. You think I can just forget that? You think I'm some fool who's gonna let you walk back into my life after everything you did?" She took a step closer to him, her eyes locking onto his. "You humiliated me. And you have the audacity to stand here and beg for me back like nothing happened?"
The words tumbled out of her, each one heavier than the last, and with each syllable, Y/N felt like a weight was being lifted off her chest. She was finally letting him have it. All the hurt, all the frustration, the betrayal she had been carrying for weeksâit was all spilling out now, and she couldn't stop it.
"I wish I had gotten with Rafe sooner," she spat, her voice laced with venom. "Because with him, I know what it's like to be truly happy. He doesn't lie to me, he doesn't cheat on me. He shows me what love really is. What I've always deserved."
The group around them murmured, and she noticed Rafe's expression go from unreadable to... something else. He was staring at her, his eyes wide, as if he couldn't believe what he was hearing. His face softened, and Y/N's heart skipped a beat. This was the first time she'd seen him like thisâvulnerable, open, and completely in awe of her.
"Y/N..." JJ began, his voice faltering, but he didn't get the chance to finish his sentence.
"Shut up, JJ," Y/N snapped, glaring at him. "I don't want to hear it anymore. You lost me the second you cheated. And now you're just proving how pathetic you are by begging me to take you back." She shook her head in disgust. "You don't deserve me. And you definitely don't deserve to have me back."
The words echoed in the air as Y/N turned her back on him, her chest heaving with emotion. She felt alive, empowered, and something elseâsomething she hadn't felt in so long. Free.
The group erupted into cheers. Topper raised his drink in the air, Sarah clapped, and a few others cheered Y/N on. It was like she had just dropped a bomb, and the energy in the air shifted. The Kooks were no strangers to drama, but this felt different. This felt like the culmination of everything Y/N had been holding in.
Rafe didn't say anything at first. He just stared at her, wide-eyed, his face unreadable. And for a brief moment, Y/N wondered if she had gone too far. But then, without warning, Rafe stood up. He took her hand in his, pulling her gently away from the crowd, leading her toward the exit.
Y/N didn't say anything as she walked with him. She just wanted to get away from the scene, to take a breath and let the adrenaline settle in her chest. The confrontation had been messy, but it had been cathartic. She had finally stood up for herself, and in doing so, she felt like she had reclaimed something she thought she had lost forever.
When they reached Rafe's car, Y/N paused, her heart still racing from the adrenaline of the scene. She turned to face him, her brows furrowed in concern. "I'm sorry for making such a scene back there," she said, her voice quieter now. "I just... I couldn't hold it in anymore."
Rafe looked at her, his expression softening, and before she could say anything else, he pulled her into a kiss.
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise, but she melted into it instantly. His lips were soft against hers, the kiss slow, deep, as if he was trying to convey everything he felt in that one moment. She kissed him back with equal intensity, the heat of the night surrounding them, but the only thing she could focus on was himâthe way he made her feel.
When they pulled apart, Rafe rested his forehead against hers, both of them breathing heavily. "I've never had anyone defend me like that before," he said quietly, his voice thick with emotion. "No one's ever stood up for me like that, Y/N."
Y/N's heart swelled, the warmth of his words wrapping around her like a protective embrace. "I meant every word," she whispered. "I love you, Rafe. I've never been more sure of anything in my life."
Rafe's eyes softened, a smile tugging at his lips. "I love you too, Y/N." He kissed her again, a slow, lingering kiss that held all the unspoken things between them.
In that moment, Y/N knew. She had fought for herself. She had found her strength, and now, she had found her true love too.

When Doey first met the reader, he was immediately wary of her. Her kind nature was unfamiliar and he couldn't tell if it was an act or not, it made him suspicious. Even though he liked it when you were around he tried to keep his distance. Can you really blame him? Heâs met a lot of people whoâve pretended to be nice, only for them to end up hurting him.Â
â
Doey tested the reader's boundaries to see if her kindness was genuine. Slowly challenging her patience. "Let's see how long she can keep this up," he thought, observing her reactions closely. Shurely she would slip and show her true colors.Â
â
Even though it was a tad annoying, you were still patient with him. You never raised your voice or showed anger, even when he was acting difficult. Whether it was explaining something for the hundredth time or dealing with his defensive attitude, you remained steadfast in your kindness.Â
â
He started to realize that the reader genuinely cared for his well-being. Something heâs not at all used to. Doey never expected to meet someone, an ex-employee no less, who would try so hard to make him feel safe. He misses having someone to look after him, it's been so long, he almost forgot what it's like to be cared for.Â
â
After that he quickly got used to you, your presence became a comfort. As the days in the factory slowly passed he grew even closer to you. Soon enough he started seeing you as an adoptive mother. But he decided to keep that to himself, for now at least, he wouldn't want to make you feel uncomfortable. Â
â
If anything were to happen to you, he would be devastated. If you need to leave the Safe Haven, Doey becomes visibly anxious. He begins clinging to you, reluctant to let you go. He asks you to make a promise to stay safe and be careful. The thought of losing you fills him with dread."Promise me you'll be careful, okay? I need to know you'll come back safeâÂ
â
After defeating the Doctor and the Prototype you bring him, and many of the other toys, home with you. Because of course you had to bring Kissy, Poppy and those who called the Safe Haven home out of the factory where they were starving.Â
â
Doey feels a mix of emotionsârelief, uncertainty, and a bit of excitementâas he steps into the reader's home "This is... home?" he asks, looking at the various objects you have hung up and strewn about. âOf courseâ you declare, looking at him as he turns his head. Doeyâs expression unreadable, âthat is, If you want it to be.â you quickly add.Â
â
And of course he stays with you! Where else would he go? He's so attached to you he couldn't imagine living anywhere else. By this point, it was clear as day that he needed you around. The way he beams when you compliment him or how he always lingers by you gave it away.
â
After spending the past 10 years in the abandoned shell of a factory, Doey is very eager to make up for lost time. He's really excited to try something new. You take the opportunity to teach him various domestic skills. His new favorite thing is baking with you!
â
He still has nightmares about the factory. When Doey wakes up from a nightmare he's immediately disoriented and filled with fear, the trauma of the factory still lingering in his mind. His breathing is heavy and a sense of panic is overwhelming him. His panicked cries always wake you up. Â
â
Youâre quick to comfort him, rushing to his side and hugging him close "It was just a bad dream. You're okay, and nothing can hurt you here." your gentle touch helped to ground him, "It's okay, Doey. I'm here. You're safe now." it's working, because now his cries have dissolved into a quieter whimper.
â
To help Doey calm down, the reader reaches for his favorite book, "The Adventures of Word Wizard." She knows how much the story means to him and starts reading aloud, her voice steady and comforting. As she continues, doey feels his eyelids grow heavy.Â
â
Just before he falls asleep, Doey murmurs softly, "Goodnight, Mom." The reader smiles softly, her heart melting from Doey's words. For the rest of the night, he sleeps soundly, knowing he's safe and cared for.

WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS (WAIT FOR YOUR LOVE) â YU JIMIN.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d6547d523996307b2f4d6163f06acce0/781e154ef6b970e4-f6/s540x810/8fb0d284f9e61343742062aed691e362da464637.jpg)
"just wanna let this story die, and i'll be alright."
synopsis. what was once love now feels like a wreck, and nothing will ever be the same between them.
pairing. mean!sorority!karina x loser!gp!reader
warning(s). angst, cheating (not really bc they're not dating), mentions of drinking, karina is mean :(, just sad no happy ending
words. 1.3k
authors note. hi guys happy valentines day masterlist soon ok
part one. part two. part three. headcannons. request. navigation. main masterlist.
family emergencies don't wait for anyone.
you barely have time to throw things into a suitcase before you're running out the door, heart pounding with worry and adrenaline. the flight feels like it drags on forever, leaving you with too much time to imagine the worst possible outcomes.
every missed call and text from karina stings, but you can't bring yourself to respond. you're already juggling too much.
karina doesn't hear from you for three days.
she finds out you're gone when she shows up at your dorm unannounced, expecting you to be there like alwaysâbecause you're always there. like the obedient little puppy she trained you to be. but the room is empty, the bed half-made, and your phone is going straight to voicemail every time she calls.
at first, she thinks you're just ignoring her. a part of her almost admires the audacity. but then she checks your drawers and sees the clothes missing, the toothbrush gone, the little signs that you didn't just leave for the nightâyou left. and you didn't tell her.
it hits her like a punch to the gut, knocking the breath right out of her.
then rage coils in her stomach like a snake, tightening with every unanswered text.
where the fuck are you?
don't make me find you.
you think you can just disappear on me?
by the time the third day rolls around, she's furious. humiliated.
people keep asking where you are, and she doesn't have an answer. you made her look stupid. weak. you left without a word and expected her to just sit and wait? to not do anything?
like hell. fuck you.
so she goes out. parties harder than she has in months. lets her sorority sisters pour her drink after drink until the room spins and everything feels numb, because you made her feel something, and she doesn't want to anymore. she doesn't want to feel anything ever again.
then there's a girl.
not you, but someone close enough in the dark. someone who doesn't hesitate to put her hands where they don't belong, someone who doesn't make her wait, doesn't make her question if she's wanted. karina lets it happen. lets the girl kiss her, lets hands wander, lets herself pretendâjust for a secondâthat you don't exist. that this is all there is. that she's still in control.
when you come back two weeks later, she's ice-cold.
at first, you think she's mad that you left without telling her properly, that she's just giving you a hard time. but when she won't even look at you, when she brushes past you in the hallway like you're nothing, the dread settles in your stomach like a stone.
then the videos start spreading around campus. one of her with a girl. her hands on the other girl's skin. her tongue in the other girl's mouth. the two of them drunk, laughing, kissing.
you can't stop watching them.
the videos aren't anything explicit, but they're damning.
you can't believe she would do this to you, after everything you've done for her, everything you've given her.
it hurts.
you want to scream at her. you want to ask her whyâwhy she did it, why she pushed you away, why she made you feel like you were nothing. you want to know if she felt anything, if she even cared about you at all. but you don't. instead, you let the anger simmer beneath your skin, burning through your veins like wildfire.
you're done. you're so fucking done.
the next time you're face to face is completely coincidental. she's on her way back to her room from a party, drunk off her ass and barely able to walk in a straight line. you went to her sorority house to get some things of yours from her room, as winter promised you karina wouldn't be there.
but of course, she is.
karina doesn't notice you at first, too busy trying to steady herself against the wall. her makeup is smudged, her hair a mess, and her steps uncoordinated as she tries to focus on getting back to her room. but then she stumbles, catching her balance just in time to look upâand when her eyes meet yours, everything in the air freezes.
for a moment, neither of you move. you can smell the alcohol on her breath and see the haze of drunkenness in her eyes. she looks like shit. then, as if snapping out of a trance, you take a step forwardâonly for her to flinch back, her body pressing against the wall.
her reaction stops you dead in your tracks.
"stay away from me."
you stop in your tracks, throat tightening. "i just want my stuff. that's it. then i'm gone."
her eyes are glassy. she looks like she might cry. "i don't have them."
your hands clenched into fists. "yes, you do. my jacket and a book. you have them."
she shakes her head. "i threw them out."
"why would you do that?"
she exhales shakily, eyes darting away. "because you left." her voice is barely a whisper, her words slurred and uneven. "because you didn't even tell me. you just disappeared."
you scoff, shaking your head. "are you serious? i had an emergency, karina. my family needed me."
her jaw tightens, something unreadable flashing through her expression. "and i didn't?"
you blink. "that's not fair."
karina lets out a hollow laugh, bitter and sharp. "neither is finding out you were gone by walking into your empty fucking room."
you don't know what to say to that. because she's right. you should've told her. you should've sent something, anything. but you didn't, and now you're stuck, the two of you, standing in the middle of the hallway with no idea where to go from here. but that doesn't change what she did.
your voice is quieter when you finally speak. "you didn't have toâ" you gesture vaguely, unable to say it. "âdo what you did."
her gaze drops, shoulders tensing. her voice is low. "i don't know what you're talking about."
you let out a frustrated sigh, stepping closer. "you know exactly what i'm talking about. those fucking videos. everyone saw them."
she doesn't move, her breath hitching in her throat. "i didn't do anything."
your hands curl into fists, anger rising in your chest. "don't lie to me, karina. i know it was you. why would you do that? were you that desperate to...i don't know? try and get back at me?"
karina's eyes are glassy, but whatever vulnerability was there a moment ago hardens into steel. she straightens up against the wall, brushing at her smudged makeup. when she finally speaks, her voice is cold.
"you really think you were more than just my little pup?"
the words hit like a punch to the gut, taking your breath away. karina stares you down, chin tilted up defiantly, daring you to argue, to fight back. but you can't. because no matter how angry, how betrayed, how humiliated you are, you still care about her.
"you were convenient, that's all. always there when i needed you. following me around like a pathetic stray, waiting for scraps of affection. and you lapped it up, didn't you?"
"karina, stop," you whisper.
she doesn't stop. she steps closer, her words venomous. "i needed someone to depend on, and you were just there. do you think i would've chosen you otherwise?"
your throat tightens. every syllable feels like another dagger to the chest.
"when you left, i realized how easy it was to replace you. how easy it would be for me to find someone else. and i did." she smiles, sharp and cruel. "do you want to know her name? or do you prefer not knowing?"
tears well up in your eyes despite everything, hot and burning. you blink rapidly, but you can't stop them from falling.Â
"i gave you everything," you say, your voice barely holding steady. "i was there for you every second you needed me."
"and that's all you were good for," she snaps. "you should've known your place. a good little pup doesn't run off without permission."Â
then, she pushes past you, her shoulder bumping yours as she stumbles toward her room. "go home, y/n," she mutters, voice breaking just slightly. "there's nothing left for you here."
and just like that, she's gone.
you're left standing alone in the hallway, heart aching, tears streaming down your cheeks.

Ruins pt 16 please đ„ș
OUGH YEAH THIS ONE
I wanted to give Loft a chance to explain a little bit of his ideology around what being the capital H Hero means to him. Despite all his misgivings about having his life orchestrated for this purpose, he 100% would do it all again, no questions asked. He firmly believes at this point that being the Hero and wielding the master sword is still a blessing. I also think from his perspective, if it really is true that Demise is going to curse this land forever, it's imperative that there's always a Hero willing to take up the mantle. Slate doesn't want the title, but to Loft he's already doing the action, and that makes him worthy of the sword. They're, like. fundamentally disagreeing on what being "the Hero" even means.
Also, having Fi as a companion was really important to him. I think it brought him some comfort to think that future heroes would have that too. To find out that they didn't, and that one even 'rejected' her entirely really upsets him.
also, if you don't actually need the sword to defeat the great evil, the whole thing kind of falls apart, right? Remember, nearly Loft's ENTIRE journey revolved around forging the sword for this exact purpose. What did he do all that for, if you don't need it in the end?
as a sidenote, slate definitely has more than '6 hearts' worth of health lol, not that I'm taking that literally. this was just kind of visual representation of the sword sapping his strength. I think it's interesting that while this isn't the only game that locks you out of pulling the sword until you're strong enough, it is to my knowledge the only game that hurts you for trying if you're not.
Slate's first champion sighting! Whether or not Champion is trying to stop him here or finally letting the sword go is up for interpretation, but if you ask me it's kind of both. Also, for the record, only Slate saw him.
bro is fucking flabbergasted. he 100% did not expect to actually pull the sword. world view altered. Slate genuinely did try multiple times, before ultimately resorting to the nuclear option of facing Ganon without it. He went into the fight with the expectation that he would probably fail and die. To pull it now, after everything is said and done is,,,,frustrating to him. To severely understate it.
the koroks all cheering with loft đ
i think this is my favorite slate I have ever drawn.
I think Loft had definitely hoped for a little bit more of a reunion with Fi here. This chime is the only indication she's there, and even then he's not sure.

something good and true - part 1
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b3ffbddbb8b11512bf84affeecc0efdd/d014df10d5d7b466-19/s540x810/a13ef134e4e7a70ec9d25e337cf0ae0779bb7295.jpg)
pairing: mob boss!bucky barnes x reader
warnings (for all parts in whole): 18+ only. domestic violence. retelling of abuse and battery. minor character death mentioned. angst. sweet and protective bucky. fluff. not sure if this qualifies as a slow burn or not đ smut. thereâs a happy ending! (as per usual)
words: 4.5k
notes: this fic was supposed to be posted last year for suzâs blind date writing challenge but clearly that is not what happened. a year later and some thousands+ words over the maximum allowed (in total), i was finally able to wrap this thing up. iâm posting in parts bc itâs just so long and ahhh iâm sorry i didnât follow your rules suz @targaryenvampireslayer đ and honest to god there is absolutely no expectation for you to read or even acknowledge this! i just want to give credit where credit is due and so this, my first mob boss!fic, is all thanks to the mob boss au prompt you had given to me! so thank you - and sorry again đ«ą dialogue used: âDoes it make you nervous when I stare?â. thank you in advance for reading, iâd be happy to hear your thoughts! as always, comments and reblogs are welcome and so appreciated. đ©”
Heâs staring again. You can feel it. The heat creeps up your spine as your heart begins to beat a little faster. The feeling has become quite familiar. Itâs been two months of this. You had a feeling heâd be back, but really you hoped heâd have just let it go by now. Itâs not like you thought any of this through, though⊠Of course thereâd be consequences; and none worse, youâre sure, than the ones he could dish out.
Itâs not your fault, you try to remind yourself. Itâs not. You finish wiping off the table of the newly vacated booth, tucking the cash tip left for you in your pocket, before you turn around.
You steel yourself, taking a strong breath before you start to walk toward his private booth. Youâre not stupid, you know the only reason he comes here is for you, he told you as much himself. And everyone else knows that too as the place has become nearly empty since his arrival. Even your coworkers arenât bustling about. You donât know if you prefer having the audience or not. You donât blame anyone for their fleeing, though. After all the stories youâd heard about the man, you always made yourself scarce in his presence, too.
Until the faithful night he requested you at his table by name⊠You sigh, it seems you no longer have the luxury of avoidance.
You remember that night well. The first time you formally met the infamous mob boss, James âBuckyâ Barnes.
You remember how it felt like your blood turned to ice in your very veins when Molly uttered your name with worried eyes, âMr. Barnes is asking for you specifically,â she had whispered as she peaked into the kitchen where youâd fled when you heard he was being sat at his rarely used, always reserved table.
You felt sick. Like a lead weight was dropped in your stomach. You wrung your hands until it hurt before you finally nodded. You were sure she could see the fear in your eyes when you looked at her. âO-okay. Iâll be right there,â youâd nodded. You had to swallow down the bile threatening to creep up your throat. He knows, youâd thought. He has to know. Thatâs why heâs here. Thatâs why heâs looking for you. You were breathing hard and heavy and you could feel the tears welling in your still sensitive eyes. You were caked in makeup, had been all week, to hide the bruises that marred all over your face. It wasnât anything unusual. But there was an eerie comfort you felt in knowing once they were finally gone this time, you wouldnât have to see yourself like that again.
You were in a long sleeve so you knew he wouldnât be able to see the marks along your arms, and unless he had X-ray vision he wouldnât be able to see the contusions littered all over your body either. You had a brace on your wrist but it wasnât too noticeable under the sleeve⊠Okay, you breathed. You can do this. Deny, deny, deny. You donât even truly know what heâs here for. You shouldnât freak yourself out before youâve even seen him.
You exhaled a shaky breath before you reached for the kitchen door.
It was dead silent as you entered the dining hall and it only added to the compounding fear and anxiety growing inside you.
You approached his table cautiously, too nervous to make direct eye contact as you held your pen and pad in hand.
âGood evening, sir, - uhm, Mr. Barnes,â you corrected yourself, âcan I get you started with something to-â
âIâm not here for drinks or the mediocre food, doll,â he stopped you easily, unnervingly calm.
You chanced a glance at him and his deep blue gaze had you swallowing hard.
You didnât know how to respond, so you stayed quiet as he stared at you. Like he knew something. Like he knew you knew something.
âHm,â he considered you for a moment longer before nodding, âya know, I think you know why Iâm here.â
âI-â, you shook your head almost imperceptibly, âI donât,â was all you could muster as your eyes were now glued to him. You couldnât will yourself to look away. You were too terrified.
He licked his lip seemingly out of habit before he spoke again.
âWhereâs your boyfriend?â He asked, sounding exasperated, bored of the interaction already as he tilted his head at you.
You stiffened at the question, your heart threatening to beat out of your chest.
âI donât-â
âYou do.â He stopped you again, the certainty in his voice leaving no room to deny his accusation. His eyes cutting into you as you stood before him, defenseless. You felt like you couldnât breathe but you couldnât just stand there looking terrified. You had to work up your voice and it came out quiet, but Bucky was listening, and watching you, intently.
âI donât know where Freddy is,â you said, voice low, trying to keep the tremor from it as you finally felt your eyes sting, the fear and pain catching up to you as you blinked the would be tears away before a single one fell. âAnd heâs not my boyfriend,â you swallowed, âanymore.â
âNo?â
âNo. We broke upâŠabout a month ago.â
âThatâs interestingïżœïżœïżœâ he hummed. âWhy did someone see his car at your place the other week, then, huh?â
You winced at the images that ran through your mind as you thought back to that day, the one you knew he was referring to.
âHe came over, to talk,â you forced out, no longer looking at the man before you. âBut nothing came from it,â you added quickly, âand he left. I havenât seen him since. Havenât heard from him, I donât know where he is.â
You didnât look at him but by the weight of his gaze you knew he wasnât buying what you were selling.
âWhat happened here?â he asked, reaching for your hand.
You were quite literally frozen to your spot as he grabbed your hand in his. His touch was the most gentle youâd experienced in a long while and it sent an unexpected hum through you. You watched your hand in his as he pulled you just the tiniest bit closer to him and the table. He inched up your sleeve to see more of the brace on your wrist and when he moved to raise your sleeve further up your arm, your body finally moved into action. You yanked your hand back, as if his touch had burned you, keeping him from seeing anything more than the brace.
âFell,â you answered shortly. âIâm sorry, Mr. Barnes, but I donât know what else to tell you. I donât know where he is. And to be perfectly honest, I donât really care.â
You met his eye once more, feeling a little safer as the words came easily. It wasnât a complete lie. You really didnât know where he was. And you certainly didnât care. Despite the scrutiny of the mob bossâ gaze, you didnât feel nearly as scared as you had before he touched your hand. Something about the softness there⊠You wouldnât dwell on it.
âIf thereâs nothing else,â you added, though it was definitely more of an unspoken question than anything. You werenât as scared but you werenât stupid either. You wouldnât be going anywhere until he dismissed you.
He smirked, huffing a laugh as he watched you.
âYou hear from him, Iâd be grateful to know,â he slipped his hand into his coat pocket and took out a business card, placing it on the table as he flicked his sharp eyes up to you once more, moving to pull out his wallet next. You watched as he slipped out two bills and blanched as he put them down on the table, moving the card so it sat on the money.
Your breath caught in your throat as he stood from his seat, standing right in front of you as you took in his build and stature. Everything about him screamed success, power, and authority and the two hundreds he left on the table were nothing more than chump change to him, you were sure.
âJust so you know, doll,â he spoke lowly, âI will find him, one way or another,â he took a step closer to you, âand if you think youâre protecting him by not telling me the truth, I promise youâre not.â He held your gaze and you were terrified he could see straight into your soul with how intent it was, âWhatâs even worse, is he knows we know all about you. He doesnât care if heâs putting you in harmâs way or not⊠Forgive me for saying, but nice girl like you, you deserve a hell of a lot better than that. So, if you think of anything you might wanna tell me, my numberâs right there,â he said looking back over to the card and money on the table. âThatâs your tip. You enjoy your night, sweetheart. Iâll be seeing you.â
His words werenât a threat, but a promise.
He would be seeing you. Didnât always call you to his table, sometimes just observed you while you worked, but every week without fail from that day on, he would be at the restaurant.
You never called him, you didnât have anything to say. You wouldnât tell him the truth, no, you couldnât tell him the truth. He was half right, you were protecting someone. But it wasnât Freddy.
You breathe another strong sigh as you get closer to him and once youâre at the table, you donât say a word, only meeting his brilliant and pointed gaze.
Thereâs something different about him tonight, something unnerving in his stare that you take notice of right away. You work to keep your calm but youâre not sure how convincing your faux headstrong demeanor is tonight.
He lets the silence between you grow for a moment longer before finally, he speaks.
âDoes it make you nervous when I stare?â
His voice is like honey, smooth and rich with that familiar lilt as his lips quirk up just at the corner of his mouth. It warms you while he holds your eye. Thereâs unspoken tension between you two as you stand so close yet so far, itâs been brewing since your first meeting and has only grown with each interaction since. Youâve never named it, but you couldnât deny it if youâd wanted to. You havenât felt your tummy flutter like this sinceâŠyou canât remember when.
Surely he knows what his gaze does to anyone, youâre no exception. But the nerves you feel under the weight of his stare are twofold - not all due to fear, but to flustering.
You havenât responded, but youâve held his eye in the silence. He smirks at you before gesturing to the open space across from him.
âWhy donât you take a seat, sweetheart.â
It sounds like an invitation, but you know itâs more than that.
Itâs an instruction.
You look around briefly, as if someone might stop you or get you in trouble - but thatâs laughable when youâre standing next to, arguably, the most feared and respected man this city has ever seen. Standing. Why is he standing? You realize suddenly heâs still waiting for you to move.
You do as he said and gingerly sit down across from him. He retakes his own seat as you settle. How chivalrous.
âIâll get right to it,â he starts, his deep blue eyes never leaving you, âFreddy-â
God, that name. You canât hold your tongue. You know itâs why heâs here but you donât want to talk about this. You just want this to be over!
âLike I told you the last time, and the time before, and the time before, and every other time youâve asked, I havenât seen him.â You cut him off without thinking. But you really canât have the same conversation again. You canât keep having to think about him. About that night. You're at your wits end - you donât want to have to so much as hear his name again. You donât catch yourself in the moment but it hits you when youâre done talking that you just spoke to Bucky in such a familiar wayâŠsomeone walking past might wonder who exactly you are to him. Clearly youâve forgotten your place, gotten a little too comfortable around him.
You look up from where you watch yourself wring your hand and shamefully meet his eye again. You inhale and start to apologize but he doesnât give you the chance.
His hand is on yours before you realize heâs even moving and you flinch a second late, his gentle touch already on you, stilling your nervous habit.
His eyes soften as he makes you meet his gaze, his thumb gently rubbing your fidgety hand.
You swallow hard and watch as he blinks away the previous softness in his gaze, his familiar confident twinkle back as he speaks,
âI know,â he nods, his hand still on yours. Heâs closer as he leans across the table. âI found him.â
Your breath catches and your face falls. Fuck fuck fuck.
What does that mean? What does he know? Youâre on the verge of having a complete freak out and god he can probably see it written all over your face. You feel a squeeze of your hand and are brought back into your body, into this very moment.
âDonât look so sick, sweetheart,â he says, a half smile on his lips. âYou donât have anything to worry about, you or your old man.â
Your heart drops at the mention of your father and Bucky must see it because he leans closer still, now holding your hand in his. Itâs strangely comforting, but more so is the look in his eyes. The sincerity there, and the hard edge of protection.
You want to believe him but youâve been gullible before.
âI just wanna know the whole story. I know pretty much what went down, some things I think can safely be assumed, but I wanna hear your narrative, just to get the full picture and get this whole mess squared away, yeah?â
The way heâs looking deeply into your shining eyes, the intimate gaze and soft touch as it seems like heâs trying to keep you calm, you canât speak much but you give him a quiet, âyeah.â
He nods and you feel a single tear slip down your cheek. He slowly raises his hand, and your eyes are glued to him as he makes sure you watch his movements. Like heâs trying to reach out to a scared little puppy, he reaches to gently touch your cheek. You donât flinch but as his hand makes contact with your skin, your eyes shut as you try and suppress a shudder.
âNo tears, sweetheart,â he tells you in a soothing timbre as he wipes it from your cheek. âYouâre too pretty to cry over a loser like that,â he adds with a soft smile.
You shake your head, âHeâs not why Iâm-â
âI know,â he cuts you off. âLook at me,â he orders gently.
You do as he says and slowly meet his eye. âYou donât have anything to worry about, ya hear me? Not the police, not my men, and certainly not me. Got it?â
You know youâre staring at him like heâs crazy, but you do understand what heâs saying. It takes you a second but you force yourself to nod.
âGood.â
His touch is still on you as his eyes trail all over your face before he lets his hand slip away.
âAlright, you wanna do this tonight or tomorrow night?â
Youâre momentarily stunned. You definitely donât want to do this tonight. You just need to get through the last two hours here and then youâre headed home to unravel in your own space. But tomorrowâŠ
âTomorrowâs Valentineâs Day,â you point out, sounding unsure.
âWhat,â he sniffs, looking at you once again, âyou got plans?â
âI, I have work,â you answer dumbly after a second.
âNot anymore you donât,â he says, moving to stand. âSo tomorrow it is.â He walks closer to you and extends his hand for you to take, helping you out of the booth. âAnd youâve got the rest of the night off.â
âOh, I carpooled today so, I have to wait anyway,â you explain, though the idea of leaving early sounds like heaven.
âIâll drive you. Get your things, Iâll have the car pulled around,â he supplies easily. He leaves to the front of the restaurant and you stand in your stupor for only a moment longer before you move to get your things from the back. You have a silly thought worrying about giving him your address, then remember heâs had it this entire time. And he told you you had nothing to worry about.
Youâre not a typically trusting person, even more so after Fred, but there's something about Bucky. Something trustworthy, something that feels safe.
You grab your bag and let Molly know youâre leaving early and you got a ride before you head to the front to find Bucky.
Heâs waiting patiently and his eyes seem to light up just a bit when he sees you coming.
Your manager is smiling tightly behind the stand as she watches you go. You feel slightly bad for just cutting out like this, but once Bucky came in, the place cleared out some, so itâs not like theyâre in the midst of a rush.
You let your work worries slip away as the brisk night air hits you, Bucky holds the door for you as you exit and then opens the passenger of his sleek, blacked out Jaguar for you to get in.
You always assumed someone like him, in his position, would have a driver, but maybe thatâs just not his style.
Bucky gets in and as you buckle, begins to drive off. You donât need to supply him with your address as he heads in the right direction without a word.
Itâs quiet but not unbearably so. Itâs not until youâre just a couple minutes away from your place that he breaks the silence.
âIâll pick you up at 7 tomorrow. I figure itâs a delicate conversation weâll be having, so somewhere private would be better. Are you okay with going to my place? We can have dinner.â
Itâs a genuine question, and the earnestness of it eases your nerves even further. Heâs truly asking, genuinely concerned with your comfortability.
âMhm,â you nod with a quiet hum. âYeah.â
He pulls up in front of your house, the porch light on and shining because you knew you wouldnât be off until late.
The car cuts off and you turn to face Bucky only to find him opening his door and getting out himself.
You grab your bag and follow him with your eyes as he rounds the car to get to your side. He gallantly pulls open the door for you and helps you out with care. You stand and he closes the car door before you start up the path to the front door. Itâs a short walk and as you reach the door you turn to look at him as he stays beside you.
âThank you, for the ride, andâŠâ you trail off not knowing how to articulate what it is you want to say. Thankfully he doesnât make you continue. He smiles softly at you.
âItâs my pleasure, sweetheart.â
You blink at him. You donât know what else to say. You finally look away and turn to the door to unlock it.
âWhen you said I donât have anything to worry about,â
âI meant you donât have anything to worry about,â he answers you before you finish your question. âIâm gonna make this all go away, I just need to know if thereâs any loose ends we need to tie up to be done with it, thatâs all.â
Your eyes sting again. He makes it sound so easy, so simple.
âI-â your voice threatens to break.
âHey, we donât needa talk about it right now, doll. You just go inside, relax, eat, get some rest. You donât gotta stress a thing anymore, alright? Iâve got you, thereâs nothin for you to worry about.â
ââŠWhy are you being so nice to me?â you look at him with bleary eyes as you crack the front door open and ask the question youâve been wondering for the past two months.
He takes a small step closer to you and gently turns your face to look at him. âWhy do you expect cruelty?â
You stutter a breath as you look at him and feel the memories of the year you spent caught up with Freddy stab at you. You know why, and youâre sure he does, too. But thereâs no sense of judgment coming from him, and you donât feel embarrassed; not like the way you do in front of your mom. Sheâs the only other person who knows what happened, what your dad did. For you.
She never said it, you donât expect she ever will, but you can sense the thoughts, the subtle judgement from her, especially when this all first happened. She doesnât know the truth but you donât have the care to tell her. Because even if what she assumed was true, it doesnât change anything. No one deserves that.
But the truth is, you didnât stay. The first time he put his hands on you, you were gone. He just wouldnât leave you alone. You were together for six months at that point and they were nice, nothing overly romantic like you see in the movies, but nice. You werenât expecting anything long lasting, marriage wasnât even a thought. You knew he wasnât the one, but dating was⊠fun. And then, one day, a switch flipped.
He wasnât the kind, but nonchalant guy you thought he was. He was angry, like it was your fault the relationship wasnât what he wanted, that it wasnât more. He wanted it to work so badly, but he knew it never would. That only kept his ire burning. And so during the other six months you were âtogetherâ you were really nothing close. You avoided him every chance you got and when heâd find his way in heâd always be sure to leave his mark. He kept up appearances of course, to everyone it seemed. You didnât want to look crazy, so what were you going to say? âI broke up with him months ago and I donât know why he wonât accept that. He uses me like a punching bag when he gets me alone - when he breaks into my car, my home, any way he can weasel into my life.â He was in with the mob and everyone knew it, so even if they believed you, what the hell would anyone be able to do? At a certain point you just kind of accepted that this must be it. Heâd always just be around somehow. Stories of your on and off again relationship floating around thanks to him - he wanted everyone to know that even if you werenât together, you were together. Making it harder and harder for you in every way possible.
And then, one day, everything changed.
Now youâre here, and he isnât.
Now youâre here, and so is James Barnes.
His warm hand is still holding your face and his thumb gently rubs your soft cheek, almost mindlessly, while he peers at you - intent as ever. That softness you saw before is back and you have to remind yourself to breathe when you notice his gaze flit to your lips. Itâs brief, fleeting as his hand drops and he meets your eyes once more. He takes back his step and you watch him take a deep breath himself, the first time youâve ever seen him be anything close to unsteady, if thatâs what you can call it.
You break eye contact first, looking down to the small space between you while you push your door open a bit more, holding onto the handle with one hand.
âHave a good night,â he says, voice low and quiet as he watches you step closer yet to the door.
You look at him again then, âYou too,â you bid softly, finally stepping inside.
He nods and waits for you to close the door behind yourself. As you push it shut, you catch a smile tugging at the corner of his lips, and then that fluttering in your belly returns again.
You turn the lock and then press yourself up against the wood, exhaling heavily.
You feel relieved and yet ten times more terrified in the very same breath.
The most pressing feeling in this very moment though is a weird kind of guilt.
You feel more for a man youâve only known for two months than you ever did for Freddy in the entire time youâd known him. Bucky is intimidating, obviously, and you know what he does, what heâs known for; heâs a man anyone would tell you to avoid at all costs. But when heâs around, thereâs this feeling you get that you just canât shake. You feel safe around him.
Heâs known for being a man of his word, and his words to you have never been anything but thoughtful andâŠcaring. He may prod, but heâs never threatened you. Truth be told, you think maybe heâs known this entire time what really happened. Or at least that you were involved somehow. And still, he wasnât harsh with you even once. He was doing his own investigation this entire time, of course, and if heâd wanted to get the truth from you, surely he could have- he couldâve saved a lot of time too. Couldâve even gone after your dad.
But he didnât do any of those things. No, heâs been patient, waiting until he had enough proof without having to pry anything out of you. At the very least you were grateful for that.
Not to mention the fact that he had called you pretty. It seems silly given the circumstances, but it did warm you when the compliment hit. Itâs crazy but itâs clear that youâre feeling feelings for one James Bucky Barnes. God help you.
Alongside the unexpected romantic stirrings youâre coming to terms with, the anxiety and stress of the truth youâve been trying, and apparently failing, to keep about what happened to Freddy has been weighing heavily on you, but with Buckyâs veiled acknowledgment of it, you feel more free already.
Itâd be a lie to say you arenât nervous for tomorrow night, but itâd also be a lie to say a part of you isnât looking forward to it, too. If for no reason other than what Bucky said; to finally just be done with this whole mess.

You know me well
pairing.á megan skiendiel x reader
about.á a sorrowful story of love, sacrifice, and timeâs relentless passage, this tale follows two childhood friends whose unbreakable bond grows into something deeper, but as dreams take flight and distance pulls them apart, unspoken words lingerâuntil one fateful night changes everything.
genre.á heavy angst. hurt, no comfort.
cw.á major character death, car accident, language.
wc.á 1229 words
a/n.á i promise you this is the last car accident story i have, a honorable mention for this lovely song which i highly recommend to listen if yall want to hurt like i did while i was writing this.
It's almost like you love me, I can tell
Have you ever sacrificed everythingâyour life, your entire worldâjust to see someone smile again?
Just to remind them that the world isnât as dark, as empty, as it once seemed?
You did.
It was the summer of â03.
You were just a kid back then, thrown into the same cabin at summer camp as a stranger, forced into the same space. Megan was a whirlwind of energy, the kind of girl who couldnât sit still for a second, who danced instead of walked, who laughed at everything and anything at first, she drove you crazy. She was loud, she was hyper, she didnât know how to read well, she struggled with spellingâbut none of that seemed to stop her.
And yet, despite all that, she could read you like an open book.
She tried her hardest to write you letters, struggling to spell out your name, rewriting words over and over just to get them right. She toned down her energy whenever you were too exhausted to deal with it. She listened when you were upset, curled up beside you when homesickness hit, stayed by your side whenever the other kids played their games.
Somewhere along the way, Megan stopped being just an annoying bunkmate.
She became your second home.
You wish you had told her how much that meant to you.
But summer doesnât last forever. When it ended, you went your separate waysâher on one side of the country, you on the other. The first few weeks were the hardest. You missed her more than you expected, missed her laughter, her warmth. But distance wasnât enough to break you. You called, you messaged, you sent letters. It wasnât the same, but it was enough.
You kept this going for years, even into high school.
Thatâs when you started to realize something was different.
At first, you told yourself it was just a silly crush, something fleeting. You thought maybe it would fade.
You were wrong.
The moment you got your own phone, you were talking constantly. Calls, FaceTimes, textsâit never stopped. Megan always found a way to call, even when she was busy. And when you finally learned to drive, the first thing you did was go to her.
You drove miles just to see her smile.
You sacrificed sleep, time, moneyâanything, just to be there for her the way she had always been there for you.
And as you grew older, as you stood on the edge of adulthood, you realized something that terrified you.
You loved her.
Not in the way kids love their childhood best friends. Not in the way people expect you to love a friend youâve known forever.
You were in love with her.
But you never told her.
Not even the night you made your pinky promise.
That night, you took her to your favorite place in the world, the first person you had ever brought there. Megan had never looked happier. Then she took you to hers. You sat together, watching the sun set, golden light painting her face like a dream.
âYou know, Iâm so lucky to have you,â she had said, turning to you with that soft, radiant smile.
You wanted to tell her then.
You wanted to say, Megan, I love you.
But all you could say was, âAnd Iâm lucky to have you. I hope we spend more days like this, together, until we die.â
She laughed, holding out her pinky. âThen letâs pinky promise on it.â
You hooked your pinky around hers, sealing a promise you didnât know you would break.
Then came the day Megan called you, her voice thick with tears.
She didnât get into her dream university.
You didnât even think. You just grabbed your keys, got into your car, and drove straight to her house.
When she opened the door, her face was streaked with tears, her shoulders shaking.
âMegan, darling, Iâm so sorry,â you whispered, pulling her into your arms. She buried her face into your shoulder, crying so hard you could feel your heart breaking.
âBut I really wanted to go there,â she sobbed.
âI know.â You held her tighter. âI know, love. But itâs their loss. Youâre an incredible dancer, and if they canât see that, they donât deserve you.â
She sniffled, letting out a small, shaky laugh. âYou always say the right things.â
âI just know you.â
To cheer her up, you took her to her favorite place, bought her ice cream, snacksâanything to see her smile again.
A week later, she called, screaming into the phone.
She got accepted into Dream Academy.
You were beyond proud of her.
But then came the worst part.
She told you that you had to cut contact.
The academy had strict rulesâno outside communication, no distractions. You understood. So, you let her go.
You waited.
You watched her from a distance, following every update on her journey. When the finals came, you knewâyou knewâshe would win.
Then, two days after the announcement, your phone rang.
It was her.
âWe can finally celebrate,â she said, her voice full of excitement. âCome over?â
You laughed, already grabbing your keys. âIâm on my way. Get ready.â
She giggled. âHurry up, slowpoke.â
That was the last thing she ever said to you.
The roads were nearly empty that night.
You were driving, one hand on the wheel, the other checking your phone at a red light. Megan had sent a text.
Meg: hurry uppp, im waitinggg >:(
You smiled, typing back a quick reply.
You: five minutes, i promise.
You never made it.
The light turned green. You started driving again.
And thenâ
A flash of headlights.
A deafening crash.
Everything slowed down.
You felt the impact before you even realized what was happening.
Pain.
So much pain.
Your thoughts blurred, fading in and out, but you still saw flashes of your life.
Your parents.
Your childhood.
And then Megan.
The girl who was waiting for you.
She was probably texting you again, telling you to hurry up. Probably fixing her hair, too excited to sit still.
You wanted to tell her you were coming.
You wanted to tell her you were sorry.
You wanted to tell herâ
I love you.
But you never got the chance.
They say when someone dies unexpectedly, thereâs a momentâjust a momentâwhen their soul lingers.
Long enough to see the aftermath.
Long enough to see who mourns them.
You donât know if thatâs true.
But if it is, then you know exactly what you wouldâve seen.
Megan.
Sitting in her room, waiting.
Checking her phone every few minutes, frowning when you didnât respond.
Calling you, only for it to go straight to voicemail.
Then, the next day, the call she never expected.
A voice on the other end, telling her the news.
You can imagine how she reacted.
Shocked.
Denial.
Then, the tears. The way she mustâve curled up in her bed, crying her heart out.
The way she mustâve whispered, No, no, no, they promised. They promised weâd have more days together.
The way she mustâve broken, knowing you never got to celebrate her win.
Knowing you never got to say goodbye.
Megan, darling.
You hope she knows how much you loved her.
You hope she knows how much you sacrificed for her.
You hope she knows, even in your final momentsâ
You were thinking of her.

The party was in full swing when you arrived, music pounding through the speakers as you made your way to the basement bar. Grabbing yourself a drink, you felt the lively energy flow through you when you looked around. A few people were dancing, and others were scattered in small pairs and groups, laughter and chatter spilling over. You recognized just about everyone, and you didnât plan to stay long, but it wouldâve upset your best friend if you didnât make an appearance.
âThere you are!â Shauna yelled, nearly knocking the drink out of your hand when she went in for a hug.
âHere I am,â you smiled. You could smell the liquor on her breath, and sheâd probably make you do at least one shot to catch up a little. âSorry Iâm late.â
âHey, you showed. All that matters,â she said over the music.
You sighed inwardly. Parties like this used to be so much. Drinks flowed, excitement felt contagious, and nights felt endless. Something changed along the way. The more parties that ended with you going home by yourself made you realize how lonely you were. There was no one to wake up beside you in the morning, and no one came home to you at night. It hurt.
One thing you refused to do was settle. You wouldnât just drive yourself into the arms of someone you knew you shouldnât be with just to take away the loneliness for a night. You just wondered when things would turn around.
As if by some divine voice who heard your heart crying, you turned and locked eyes with a man across the room. They were the bluest eyes you had ever seen and they pulled you in. If you drowned, your dying words wouldâve been to thank him. Everything made sense, and nothing made sense at all when he softly smiled.
âWho is that?â you asked, still tangled up in his stare.
âOh, thatâs Chris. Heâs new to the area,â Shauna replied, giving you a gentle shove forward and making some of your drink spill over this time. âHeâs totally checking you out, so go.â
He kept smiling when you glided across the room. No one seemed to touch you or block your path, almost like they knew not to interfere. And as luck would have it, there was an open spot right beside Chris. You expected half the party to be vying for his attention, but maybe they were put off by him being an outsider or his dangerous aura.
It drew you in like a moth to a flame.
âHey,â you breathed.
âHey,â he smirked.
His eyes were somehow brighter up close. Your fingers itched to reach up and trace his goatee. Glancing down, you spotted a few rings on fingers and wondered what they would feel like grazing or digging into your flesh. You managed to give him your name and hoped he was sticking around, but he had his jacket on like he wasnât planning to stay long either.
âIâm Chris,â he said, clinking his bottle against yours in lieu of a handshake.
âNice to meet you.â Taking a swig, his eyes went to your lips when you licked a drop away. âYouâre new around here.â
âI am,â he confirmed, your stomach twisting in a delightful knot as his eyes swept over you. âNot a bad place, but I donât know my way around just yet. Wouldnât mind showing me sometime, would you?â
It thrilled you that he asked, but you didnât want to appear too eager. âI may be able to do that.â
âMay?â He raised an eyebrow. âHow can I turn that into a âyesâ?â
âStep outside with me so we can talk away from the noise and Iâm sure you can find a way to convince me,â you smiled, knowing full well youâd show him all the best spots and hidden gems.
He smirked and took a swig of his own beer. âLead the way.â
Slipping your hand in his, you winked at Shauna watching across the room. The voice in the back of your head said not to rush into his arms just because you felt an instant connection, but you had a good feeling about him. Even if you didnât take him home tonight, there was always tomorrow.
And for the first time in a long time, you were glad you went to a party.
Love and thanks for participating! â€ïž

It had been five months since you broke up with your abusive girlfriend, No-eul. You had fought to leave, struggled to deny your feelings for her, but you just loved her too much.
âWho was she?!â No-eul yelled, following you around the house. You grabbed your jacket and quickly threw it on, still searching for your keys. âIâm telling you, sheâs a work friend! I asked her to drive me home today!â you yelled as you knelt in front of your nightstand to retrieve your house keys.
You quickly stuffed the keys into your coat pocket and stood up just as No-eul pinned you to the wall. âCut the fucking crap!â Your eyes widened as she yelled at you, a familiar rage flashing in her eyes. No-eul wasnât great at managing her anger issues, and this was all too typical for you. You wriggled in her grasp as she tightened her hold, âY/N⊠donât make me say it again.â
âIâm telling the fucking truthâ!â you started, but her hand struck your face. Stunned, you looked at the floor, letting your hair fall over your face as you touched the growing red mark. âDonât fucking cuss at me,â she demanded, but you finally managed to push her weight off. In a hurry, you left the shared bedroomâone that seemed to grow smaller by the minuteâand stepped out of the apartment.
Yet, you couldnât shake the thought that the slap felt like a kissâŠ
Leaving your home wasnât difficult; as a known singer, you had plenty of money. What troubled you was leaving No-eul. You had loved her deeply, but you couldnât endure any more of her abuse.
Now, you found yourself backstage for your headlining show at Coachella. You checked your outfit in the mirror and took the microphone from your manager. âYouâre up in 30 seconds!â she yelled. Excitement bubbled within you; performances were a fantastic way to distract yourself, and you always enjoyed them. As the entrance opened, you stepped onto the stage, greeted by the audience chanting your name and screaming.
âHELLO COACHELLA!â you yelled with an amused smile. The crowd roared back, cheering you on as the intro to your first song began. What you hadnât expected was to see a very familiar face in the crowd. Your gaze lingered a moment too long on the smirking figure watching you like you were prey.
âShe hurt me and it felt like true love,â you sang seductively into the microphone, maintaining direct eye contact with No-eul. âWe could go back to New YorkâŠ
Loving her was really hard.â

You let out a small sigh as you stared at your phone, the screen dimly glowing in the dark room. Se-mi still hadnât come home. You had called her twice already, and she hadnât picked up. Maybe she was busy, but⊠she always made time for you.
After debating for a moment, you pressed the call button again, hoping sheâd pick up this time. When she finally answered, relief flooded youâuntil you heard her tone.
âStop calling me every damn second. Iâll be home later.â
And thenâclick. She hung up.
Your heart sank. Se-mi had never spoken to you like that before. Sure, she could be cold sometimes, but never annoyed with you. Never like this.
You swallowed hard, your fingers tightening around your phone. Was she getting sick of you? Had you been too clingy?
Maybe⊠maybe she really forgot your birthday. But you shouldnât be surprised. No one had ever celebrated it before. It wasnât like you were expecting anything big, justâsomething.
A simple happy birthday wouldâve been enough.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you curled up under the blankets, your chest aching. You tried to tell yourself it was fine, that birthdays didnât matter anyway. But the way Se-mi dismissed you, the way she sounded so irritatedâit hurt.
Eventually, exhaustion pulled you into sleep, your quiet sniffles fading into the night.
â
A gentle tap on your shoulder stirred you from sleep. You groggily blinked as a soft voice called to you.
âBaby⊠baby wake up.â
You turned, your vision still blurry, and found Se-mi kneeling beside the bed, her eyes filled with warmth. But that wasnât what caught your attention.
Your roomâyour plain, undecorated roomâwas now covered in pastel-colored decorations, fairy lights twinkling along the walls. And in Se-miâs hands was a pink birthday ice cream cake, the one you had always wanted but never had the chance to get.
Your lips parted in shock as Se-mi smiled softly.
âHappy birthday babyâ
Tears welled up in your eyes, but this time, they werenât from sadness. They spilled over as you sat up, staring at her in disbelief.
âYouâyou didnât forget?â you choked out, your voice small.
Se-mi quickly set the cake down before you practically launched yourself at her, wrapping your arms around her tightly. She let out a small laugh as she held you close, cradling you in her arms.
You buried your face into her neck, her warmth soothing every ache in your heart. When you finally pulled away, you looked up at her with teary eyes.
âBut⊠I thought you forgot and I thought you were annoyed with meâŠâ
Se-mi chuckled, brushing a few strands of hair from your face.
âNo, love. I was just pretending. I did feel bad for acting like that thoughâ
A small giggle escaped you as you wiped your tears. âItâs ok⊠letâs eat cake now!â
Se-mi grinned, ruffling your hair before picking up the cake. You followed her eagerly, your heart feeling lighter than it had in years.
As you took the first bite of the sweet, cold cake, you realizedâthis was the best birthday you had ever had. And it was all because of her.

Frustrated...(Caitlyn Kiramman x Reader)

Synopsis: Your girlfriend is a commander of war. She' needs someone to be mean to, and you're willing and able.
Content: MEAN!Caitlyn, dubcon if you squint (yg have a safeword I promise.), dacro if you squint, degradation, sex referred to as 'bullying' one (1) time, reader compared to a dog one (1) time (not in dialogue), fem!reader, fingering, spanking, pussy spanking, aftercare, reader's bush is mentioned one (1) time
A/n: im gonna need you guys 2 be super nice 2 me ab this one okay. I'm 3 cones deep time of writing. Caitlyn I need you SOOOO BADD, this fic is very not normal proceed w caution
Caitlyn Kiramman is not a gentle woman. She never has been, not really; learned to shoot things down and dead when she was just a child, carried that sentiment with her to womanhood. And you've been her girlfriend for a few months, she's never really mean to you. Always treats you with the sort of respect she expects people she deems important be regarded with.
But â there's a war brewing. She's a commander. She's been a little stressed lately, of course she would be, and she needs to get that tension out somehow.
Which is how you ended up in this situation, folded over her lap as she spanks you. Hard.
"T-..ten," you manage, nails digging into your palms as you're made to count the harsh, unforgiving blows to your ass. Caitlyns fully clothed, you're stripped bare and dripping arousal all over her nice pants. You can't see her face, but her jaws still clenching, she's only getting madder.
"You like that, don't you? Always been a slut," she spits, her slender hand now grabbing roughly at the fat, kneading it under her palm. She tugs at the skin, spreading open your ass to expose your neglected pussy, making you whine. "So wet, and for what?"
Before you can respond she's spanking you again, affording a harsh slap to the skin where your ass meets your thigh. "Eleven," she supplies for you, her voice mocking, seething with an anger that's not directed at you. "If you can count that high."
You mewl incoherently, ass wiggling to try and get away from the pain. Cait doesn't like that. She grabs you again, and then, all of a sudden â you're being manhandled, shifted so you're more on your side, and she tugs your leg into the air.
"Whaâ..?" No time to voice your confusion, because she's already delivering a harsh smack to your pussy, making you moan, loud. She groans appreciatively, her mouth twisting into a (sadistic) smile for the first time since she's been home.
"Pretty girl likes that, huh? Such a good whore."
She presses her hand into your pussy, the heel of her palm against your clit, her tough too rough, too much â she's hurting you, she's enjoying hurting you. It makes you so wet. She has her right hand absent-mindedly (and a little clumsily) stroking your hair, cupping your face â you just look so pretty when you cry, it's not her fault.
"C-caitt! 'S too much, please, too much.." you're sobbing, pussy already puffed up and overstimulated when she slips two fingers in, firmly pressing against your g-spot. And groans, eyes closing for a moment to collect herself. Her face is all flushed by now, and she's smiling, hard; she loves this, taking all her energy out on her pretty, slutty girlfriend. She stuffs her fingers into your hole, curling them up and fucking you so good.
"Fuck, princess, pussys so fuckin greedy...you love this, huh? Love being used like this?" You nod, your body all curled up so you can press your face into her side, muffling your whines. She strokes your hair distractedly, the way one would a fussy dog.
You're getting her top all wet with tears, her pants all wet with arousal. "So messy," she tuts, although her voice is far away, absent-minded. She's more focused on the filthy noises you and your pretty cunt make, on the way your hole swallows her now-wrinkled fingers up so, so greedily.
She lets go of your face for the first time to instead grope one of your tits. It's a simple act of cruelty, of degradationâ and it just snaps something in you, your orgasm spilling out of you, all over your thighs, up her arm, getting everything wetter than it was. She moans out loud, just about cums from the sight herself. "Shit, baby, you're such a fucking slut, I love you," she's rambling, digging and rutting her fingers into you, bullying you through your orgasm. You hit her lightly a few times, she hardly notices. She fucks you through it, she's so mean, so unreasonably mean, it's the hardest you've cum in a long time.
Eventually she starts to kiss a line up and down your arm, hand slowing, then pulling out delicately. She cups the back of your head again, her now-free hand coming up to her face so she can suck your arousal off her fingers, one by one. By the time you open your fingers she's licking delicately up her palm, just wanting to taste as much of you she possibly can. You moan out loud again.
"Y'such a good girl, did so well f'me," she cooes, gently running a (wet) hand over your (wet) thigh, trying to soothe the muscle. Her mouth trails up your shoulder and to your face, gently catching your swollen lips in a kiss.
"Did I tell you how much I love you?" She asks, her head still reeling, stomach still swirling with the feeling. You cling to her, overwhelmed and confused and fucked out.
"I got you, baby, I got you...you're so fuckin pretty, yknow that? Made me feel so good, so much better, my good girl, yeah, fuck, baby.."
She nuzzles into your cheek, gently scooting you so you're layed down on the bed. The towel she put under you is completely soaked, seeped into some of the sheets. Oops. She lifts your legs up gently to pull it out from under you anyway, softly kissing on your thighs to distract you.
"Caitlyn," you sob, and she shushes you, shaking her head. "'M done, baby, 'm done. Gonna clean you up now, yeah? Stay awake f'me, baby," she mumbles, pressing her mouth to her hips before straightening up, dropping the towel in the hamper. She'll clean it up in the morning. She also strips off most of her clothes, they're soaked and smell like pussy anyway.
And she returns in panties and a singlet with a soft hand-towel, patting dry your thighs, pussy, bush. Once she's satisfied she moves up to kiss your face, wiping the tears off your cheeks, quietly shushing you.
"Such a messy girl," she cooes, nudging her nose against you affectionately. "You did soo well, baby."

Thanks for taking requests!!! Could we get some subSteve and domreader after a date and sheâs driving him crazy with lingerie and maybes heâs handcuffed or canât touch đ
omg i'm so glad you asked bc i've had this idea for ages and now i'm finally executing it @doomsdaybby 18+ below the cut!
Pegging your boyfriend wasn't the first idea that came to mind while you were wandering the intimates aisle at Sears, but that's where the night had taken you.
It was something the two of you had talked about briefly in the past. Steve was generally more vanilla where you were more of the experimental type. You always say you'd try anything once.
You never minded that about him though; you'd even go as far as to say you loved it about him. Sex with Steve was always the most intimate and gentle thing you'd ever experienced. Like the two of your souls intertwining and becoming one; full of hand holding and intense eye contact.
"You wanna what?" Steve asks you, eyes a little wide.
"I think you'd like it, Stevie, and if you don't- we'll never do it again, okay?"
When he doesn't say anything, you push a little, "Do you trust me?"
"Of course I do,"
"Then let's try it," you suggest, rubbing his arm in a soothing gesture, "the second you want to stop you can just say, i don't know, pineapple or something."
He nods and your face lights up. How could he ever be expected to say no to such an angel?
That's how Steve ended up tethered firmly to your shared bedframe with two silk ties, as not to hurt his wrists. You had come sauntering out of your bathroom in the sexiest set of white lace lingerie Steve thinks he's ever seen. The cups hold the weight of your breasts perfectly, giving you just enough cleavage for it to still look natural. It was classically elegant and the hottest thing he's ever seen you wear; even complete with a little lace garter secured snugly to your thigh.
You could hear his breath hitch in his throat as you approached him. One knee at a time, you moved to straddle him on the bed as seductively as possible.
He already looked like a disheveled mess-- his hair mussed in all different directions and a pink tinge spreading from his sternum all the way to the tips of his ears. You leaned down and pressed hot, open-mouthed kisses along that very path before reaching his ear and whispering, "Breathe, baby."
He makes a concerted effort to control his breaths. Out of nervousness or excitement, he's not sure.
You begin by kissing a path from his earlobe to his mouth, deepening the kiss with you tongue once you reach his waiting lips. His instinct is to touch you-- to rove his hands up and down your thighs or grope your breasts, but his hands are met with immediate resistance when he tries to.
You don't flag him for it, trying to go easy on him; simply continuing your ministrations on his mouth and starting a low grind of your hips over his pelvis.
He whines into your open mouth, clearly feeling impatient despite his earlier trepidation, so you lick and kiss a path down his chest-- stopping to swirl a tongue around his perked nipple. You've never done that before, and it sends Steve reeling. His hips buck involuntarily and a whimper of your name escapes him.
"Do-- Do that again," he pants, so you do.
You conclude your journey down his torso by mouthing at his waiting length through his briefs. Again, he tries to fist his hand in your hair before remembering that he cannot and huffing in frusteration.
"I know, poor baby," you mock pout at him, though you really do feel some level of sympathy for his current predicament-- despite your knowledge of how much he'll enjoy what comes next.
You pull his boxers down his hairy thighs, letting his cock spring free. Just from some heavy petting, he's already leaking and a shade of fiery red. He groans deep in his chest as you take his tip in your wet mouth, swirling your deft tongue along his slick and collecting the pearling precum there.
You hum and moan some of your own, knowing just how delicious the vibrations will feel against his shaft. His chest heaves up and down more quickly now, so you decide to check in.
"How're you doin' love? This okay?"
"Yes--" he breathes, "More, please,"
"So polite," you smile before taking his length as far into your throat as it can physically go.
As you bob up and down on his length, your nose brushing the thatch of hair at his base with every downward stroke, you bring a finger to the space between his cheeks; circling experimentally. You didn't want to warn him first and make him more anxious, and he jolts at the sensation.
"Relax, Steve," you hush, "I promise it'll feel so good,"
He trusts you with ever microfiber of his being, so he let's you continue without question. He hasn't been this nervous for sex with you since your first time together.
You bring your index and middle fingers to your lips and suck them into your mouth, getting them properly soaked before bringing them back to his hole and continuing your efforts. His cock tenses and jumps when you breach his entrance just slightly.
"You still with me?" You ask, "This okay?"
"Mhm--" he responds, eyes pinched tightly closed, "Feels good,"
"Let me grab some lube,"
You reach over to the bedside table next to Steve's head and his eyes follow you the entire time. When you acquire the bottle, you pop the top open and squeeze a generous amount onto your fingers.
"Gonna be a little cold," you warn.
Only once you're deemed slippery enough do you take your index finger and fully sheath him on it.
"H--oh, that's good, baby, keep going," he moans from where he lays in front of you on the bed.
You spend close to fifteen minutes just like that. Easing him onto your fingers while mouthing over his cock. Eventually you stop touching him there altogether, only focusing on where your fingers are knuckle-deep inside him. You begin to pump them in and out a bit faster now that he's had a chance to acclimate.
"Good boy," you praise and he whines instantly. You'll be locking that away for future use. "Want you to come like this, think you can do that for me?" You ask in the most sultry voice you can muster despite how wet you're growing between your own legs. Watching him unravel like this might be the sexiest thing you've ever done.
"Yeah, baby-- don't stop," tears begin to brim his lashes, and you can't help but take some pity on him. Your free hand comes up to massage his sac as you continue your work on his ass.
You've never seen anyone come untouched before, let alone Steve, but here you think it actually might happen. So you add one more finger to give him that final push over the edge of ecstasy.
"Ahh!" He cries out and his cock tense that much more, "Gonna come baby, you're gonna make me--" he can't even finish his sentence with the pleasure you're giving him right now.
You bring your mouth to replace your hands on his balls and that's it. The coil in his belly twists beyond it's snapping point and he's coming undone with a shout. It only spurs you on more.
Once he's rode out his high, you pull your fingers from him and he writhes with overstimulation. You crawl your way up his body, peppering his damp skin with kisses as you go.
"You did so good, Stevie," you praise, "love you so much,"
"Love you too, baby," he breathes as he plants a languid kiss against your lips. You can feel his grin against your skin.
"Can you untie me?" He chuckles and glances to where he's still attached to the bedpost.
"Oh, yeah, obviously,"
The second he's free he envelopes you in a suffocating embrace. In any other circumstance, Steve is the giver. You're just glad you were able to give him a taste of what he's always given you.

I FUCKING FORGOT THE NEW ALIEN STAGE CAME OUT TODAY OH GOD OH FUCK I SAW IT COME UP IN RECCOMENDED AND HAD A FULL BODY REACTION TO IT PLEASEPLEAS PELSAE GO WATCH IT IM GOING TO FUCKING CRY IM GOING TO FUCKING THROW UP IM GONNA .
youtube
it was so fucking beautiful actually. I did not expect the bright spots of it, though maybe I should have. Vivinos has always been such a master of balancing fluff in a way that makes it hurt. And then the end . just. fuck. fuck. Oh my god. Fuck.
Spoilers below the cut, I am feeling many things and thinking many thoughts, so let's dissect this together:
I was so entranced by the beautiful visuals I straight up forgot to put captions on to get the lyrics for my first watch. But when it opened to Luka smiling so fucking genuinely, I almost gasped
The way he smiles when he first sees her is CRAZY, I am obsessed with it. Only pausing when a literal gun is held to his head, and even then, not for long
And then he grows so much more almost sweet and fond when she so blatantly ignores him. I felt like he was saying, "yeah, that's my Hyuna."
So like. Super strong opening to us seeing Luka killing off what I've seen others claim are his clones, presumably to make sure he can't be easily killed and replaced
I especially like this post by @kitespark talking about this bit and how Luka may have then ended up killing Hyuna's brother bc they looked so similar, and he assumed they were clones
LUKA'S HANDS !!! AS A KID !!! DID NOT HAVE PURPLE FINGERTIPS!!! We also see his hands when he's older, and he also does not have purple fingertips then! Does this mean he got them later in life, after so many experiments? That's what I'm not placing my bets on
The music itself was. Beautiful. As always, obviously, but especially so.
The slow, gentle singing that can be seen as both darkly comforting or sweetly assuring, the almost bell like chimes in the background, I loved it.
When it first shifted to Luka's voice, singing as Hyuna lay on the ground, I just about screamed. Their voices sound so pretty next to each other, I really like hearing them in contrast
Getting to see all these frames of Hyuna just surrounded by people in the resistance was so nice, actually.
I thought it was so well done, how we get to see her gradually get happier, recovering from her past.
Starting with a scene of her alone, drinking, before someone steps in (presumably to bring her comfort in company) before we start to see clips of her, each one with her a little bit happier, and each one with the lighting just a bit brighter, till we finally see her give a fully animated smile, even as we can see the silhouettes of those in the garden inside of her
She learned to smile !! Even through her grief!! She smiled even though she still kept them in her mind and heart!!!
AND THEN LUKA?? HAVING A (WANTED(?)) POSTER??? OF HYUNA ?? IN HIS ROOM??? AND HIM GIVING IT THE WORLDS JERKIEST MOST AWKWARD LITTLE KISS AFTER STARING AT IT FOR AN AWKWARD AMOUNT OF TIME, OH MY HEART !!!
The kiss is so sudden and jerky and awkward and it kind of looks like it hurt, honestly. Like, at first I wondered if it even was a kiss, but idk what else it would even be. Luka misses his girlfriend yall
There's actually so much to dissect of these short frames, tbh. Is this his room, where he is kept on a concerning amount of medical equipment, or is it just a hospital room he's been in long enough to be allowed to put things up on the wall?
And then we get to just. The happiness of the video. Which, by the way, kicked me in the fucking gut and stole all my lunch money. Like, holy shit you guys, what the actual fuck.
There's so much happening here, but in general I've seen two camps:
a) we are seeing glimpses of the actor au, where they are getting ready and into their roles and having silly fluffy fun times
and b, which is what I originally thought) We are seeing them getting ready for their death matches. Preparing costumes for the stage, hoping for the best. And just the lighter times they've gotten to spend together, in the garden
I'd like to believe it's both, tbh. That at first, we're seeing the lighter times they've spent together, getting their costumes ready, singing, running through grass, being kids while they still can.
A few flashes of other people too, in terrible situations but still smiling, showing that there is still joy to be found in this world
And then, a flash of violence-- Mizi, her face splashed with Sua's blood, and the music takes on this crescendo as it shows us this beautiful what if.
Some of the flashes are definitely some sort of modern au, a true what if.
Sua in a school uniform, giggling with a friend on the way to class, Till in art class, Hyunwoo and someone who's presumably his friend riding bikes through a glowing forest, Mizi laughing as she works on something, Hyuna and Luka dancing together on some sort of date (WITH WEDDING RINGS ON !!! WEDDING !! RINGS !!), a phone taking a photo of food better than anything the alien stage contestants have ever gotten to eat before (especially in contrast to the quiet lunch scene only a few images before, which may have been there to contrast it)
Other portions I read as more mis-remembered, 'if only the garden could have been brighter' moments (particularly the one of them cleaning that one aliens teeth, which we saw Till and Mizi terrified of in round 3) but otherwise I think can be seen as just more beautiful moments.
Running around, playing, having fun, laughing
At some point, towards the middle, I had an abstract thought that it was appropriate, to be posted on valentines day. For all that parts of it felt like a love letter to life. Seeing them all so happy, not only with each other but just being. Doing things they loved, being happy, living
I stg, I started tearing up. I love how well animated and bright this section was, you can tell they really said "guys we have to make this shit COUNT" and spared no expense. Everyone say thank you vivinos and qmeng !!
And then, of course, we hard cut back to reality. A quick glimpse of some remembered Luka angst, and we are on stage with Mizi again. Our last glimpse of happiness being Sua's smile.
What the fuck !!!
Ok so just. Everything about the next bit is so good to me.
Luka having eyes for literally nothing and no one other than Hyuna, even as a gun is literally held to his head.
The cutting back and forth between him stumbling blindly her way as an adult and as a child was so good. He has never had eyes for anyone other than her, and it shows
The way Hyuna runs for him, knowing whats about to happen even as Luka remains blind to everything but her, the way she spins him around to take the shot for him in a hug, which, BY THE WAY, THE FACT THAT LUKA WAS REACHING OUT FOR A HUG. MAKES ME INSANE.
LOOK AT HIM !!!! HE WAS REACHING OUT TO HER !!! HE WAS GOING FOR A HUG !!!! HE SAW HER AND RAN AND LITERALLY THREW HIMSELF INTO HER ARMS HE MISSED HER SO MUCH I DONT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THIS ACTUALLY !!!!
Also its funny that it was the resistance guy who took the shot, I understand his thought process (Luka probably looked like he was going for his boss lmao) but then he ended up fucking shooting Hyuna instead.
I have to wonder if we'll get to see this guys reaction in the next video, I kind of hope we do. I feel like there's a small chance we might, in some like, corner of the screen we see Dewey grabbing him by his collar to shake him angrily or smthn
It's a small thing also, but I like how we also get to see the guy next to Hyuna react to Luka's blatant idiocy. Like, yeah he's being an idiot, and yeah people are around to see it. Idk, it's small but it just makes it all feel more real to me
^ this guy is all of us watching at home as Luka ignores the gun aimed at his head and runs for hyuna lmao
Also, Luka's hands are now colored in as purple when he's a child here, so that may have just been a coloring error earlier. So throw out what I said about his hands not being purple when he was young into the bin, oops!
So then we're back to seeing more flashes of life, and what we are given is Hyuna's grief, and Hyuna's fear.
A man, presumably some resistance member, dying as they cry and watch him pass. And then Hyuna, in the hospital.
The focus on her leg, and then the abrupt cut to what I think must be the moment that she lost it, then again a cut to the round of alien stage she lost (where she was supposed to have died) and another cut to her crying, scared, makes me think we're seeing a sort of rewind of her joining the resistance
Did she lose her leg in her escape from alien stage maybe? Either way, I like this shift from like, we've seen all these good memories of life, and now we're back to the bleak. Hyuna learned to smile, got to heal, but there were still so many dark moments too
Also: I don't know who this guy is, but he's cute and I want him carnally.
AND THEN JUST THE SHIFT FROM CUTE HYUNA AND LUKA TO HER FUCKING BLEEDING OUT IN HIS FUCKING ARMSMSSSSSS IM GONNA BE FUCKING SICK WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And also Luka's fingers are back to being not purple, so was it a miscolor, or...?
And then. Hyuna's speech. This is one of the very few times we get to hear an alien stage character just,, talk. Off the top of my head, the only time I can remember us getting that is My Clematis, the very first round of alien stage. And that talk was half exposition.
It's so well done, and just. Ag. Ah. A.
I dont even have the words tbh!!!
"I resented you so. I had to keep moving forward in every moment... But you were always my one and only weakness. (choking up) That's why I resented you so. Luka, live with love. Embrace the pain, the frailty, and live and the moments so unbearably shameful. Forgive yourself... Again and again, endlessly. because everything... begins from there.
I DONT EVEN KNOW MAN !!! WHAT THE FUCK !!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK !!!!
Hyuna admitting that even as she's always resented Luka, he has always been and always remained her weakness, and that is why she continued to resent him so much
Hyuna urging Luka to love. To forgive himself. To feel.
Luka, who we've always seen as untouchable, a man who knows how to play this game-- who has won it before and now plays with his opponents in order to win it again. Just, him tearing up. His mask cracking in the face of Hyuna's words, of her blood on her face (on his hands)
THE FACT THAT IT IS LITERALLY LUKA'S FAULT SHE'S THERE!!!! THAT SHE'S NOW DYING !!!!
Luka has always been blind to everything but Hyuna, and going with some interpretations of how we've seen him do dumb shit just to see Hyuna's face before (specifically when we saw him injure (potentially kill(??)) Hyuna's little brother, then smile up at Hyuna like he was just waiting for her reaction) it is. So fitting that this is how it ends
With Luka, once again blind to everything but the girl who can make him feel something, managing to kill that girl in his blindness
Fucking rip!!
I AM HUFFING COPIUM LIKE ITS PAINT I REFUSE TO BELIEVE HYUNA IS DEAD PLEASEEEE !! YEHA OK SURE HER LIGHT WENT OUT BUT WE WERENT SHOWN THE BODY IT DOESNT COUNT OK IT DOESNT COUNT SHUT THE FUCK UP
AND MEANWHILE MIZI DIDNT EVEN SEE HYUNA GET SHOT BECAUSE SHE'S STILL SOBBING OVER TILL'S CORPSE IN HER ARMS, FUCK
Anyways. Final thoughts.
This alien stage was. Wonderful. Beautiful. It may be my new favorite.
Every second of it was so well done, and I need to applause Vivinos for once again showing off that she knows how to make all of us cry by drawing her characters happy.
What the fuck, man!!
Anyways, I watched most of this without subtitles (and when I did watch with titles, I kept getting distracted by the pretty visuals and couldn't focus) So, I possibly misread/misunderstood a thing or two.
I'm gonna go watch it like 10 more times with subtitles on this time, then maybe realize smthn and feel regret, but, whatever
Go watch alien stage.

Hannah sat at home in bed surrounded by tissues. It was Valentine's Day and for the first time she was spending it alone. She had been in a long-term relationship that ended shortly before Valentine's Day after her now ex-boyfriend was caught cheating on her with one of her close friends. Now she lay in bed alone burying her sorrows in a pint of ice cream and watching romcoms on repeat on the television.
As she watched the leading lady lock lips with the lovable hunk which apparently served as a plot for a viable film she began to shout at the television. "Fuck you, you stupid slut. He's probably just going to leave you anyway and fuck your friends." She burst into tears and blew her nose into one of the tissues. She immediately switched the television off and sat in bed wearing her underwear and the baggy t-shirt. She finished the tub of ice cream placing it on the bedside table and looked down at her body. Her stomach was bloated from the ice cream and she had stains on her shirt. "God I look like a fat slob" she said groaning in disgust at herself "No guys gonna want me if I stuff myself full of ice cream." She whined regretting devouring all that ice cream. "If only I could skip to being happy with a family. I just wish I never had to be alone again" she whispered to herself in the isolation of her bedroom.
Little did she know unseen forces heard her cry and decided to grant her wish. She felt something gurgled inside of her stomach as she lay there on the bed. "I'm not lactose intolerant" she said puzzled as her stomach growled. However before she could puzzle this anymore she rushed to the bathroom suddenly feeling like she had to be sick. By the time she had finished she left the bathroom feeling worse than she did before. "How is this possible I have eaten ice cream loads of times and never reacted like this." She picked up the tub to check the sale by date. She stood there reading the tub and that's when she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror.
Gone with her slender figure defined by a flat toned stomach and strong legs. She dropped the tub and walked towards the mirror lifting her t-shirt and pulling it over her head. Her tits hung on top of her belly which was now rounded and large. Briefly she posed in the mirror holding her belly as if she was an expectant mother. "I can't possibly start dreaming about a kid when I can't even hold down a man" she said ridiculing herself and letting go of her stomach. "I'm just fat lonely and vulnerable." On the floor was an old bra that she had taken off and discarded the night before she picked it up to try and put it on so that she could get dressed and get out of the flat seeing if that would cheer her up. Somehow the bra refused to fit despite the fact it fitted last night. Her tits were practically spilling out of the cups and to make matters worse they hurt like a son of a bitch. She discarded the bra and regarded her body in front of the mirror. Her tits did look weirdly bigger and dark blue veins crisscrossed under her pale skin. "I've never noticed that before" she said running a finger along the line of her vein finally rubbing her fingers on the ends of her nipples. She gasped how sensitive they were. She had never felt anything like it and she moved towards the bed suddenly remembering the best way to cheer herself up.
She spread her legs and pulled out a vibrator from her nightstand. Before she went out she was determined to cum and she could worry about exercise later. Should I have head back and placed the head of the vibrator against her clit switching it on and massaging herself. She groaned and bucked her hips as she felt each pulse through her entire body. She gasped and tried to look down between her legs. However obstructing her view was hers swollen stomach still filled with ice cream but somehow looking even bigger than it did before. As she groaned and gasped she watched her stomach rise and fall with each breath. It was almost hypnotic looking down the smooth orb below her.
As she pleasured herself her other hand rested a top her stomach and in the end she caved and began to rub it. She pictured herself as a swollen pregnant housewife waiting for her husband to come home and stuff her full of cum for Valentine's Day. The idea of being bred by a loving husband finally sent her over the edge and she orgasmed drenching her bed sheets. When eventually the brain fog cleared she suddenly realized that she was feeling something as well as pleasure. Something was moving inside of her stomach. She looked down in horror and saw something moving underneath her skin. She gasped as a definite hand pushed its way out of her stomach outlining itself on her pale skin. "What the fuck" she screamed an leaped out of bed. Yet even stood up her stomach dominated her small frame. "I can't be pregnant that's not possible" she panicked as she looked into the mirror. She shut her eyes tight pretending that if she just ignored the world she would wake up and everything would go back to normal. However after a small while she opened her eyes and still staring back at her was the reflection of a pregnant woman.
She analyzed her reflection seeing the curves of her body. Her nipples had grown darker and her legs had thickened. She also regarded her hips which had widened how she had not noticed was beyond her. Yet as she regarded her new appearance she couldn't help but smile. After all she looked beautiful like this and she had always dreamt of having a family. She ended up spending an hour in front of the mirror staring at her new body. Every once in a while she would feel a small kick inside of her and she would rub the spot where her baby had hit her and smile coping at her stomach. In the end she put on some clothes the managing piece together acute outfit that accentuated her stomach. After all it was Valentine's Day and who knows maybe someone she would bump into might want to be the father.

Chapter Four: This Is Me Trying
âââ ââ
âŸâ
â âââ
âAnd that was all she said?â Lily asked Remus as they made their way to the library. The corridors were filled with other students too consumed by their own conversations and happenings to give the duo much thought.Â
âYup.âÂ
âOkay,â Lily said slowly as she thought through her next words carefully. âBut did she say it like âI donât have to goâ or âI donât have to goâ?â
Remus stared at her blankly for a moment, âThat⊠you just said it the same twice.â
The look of incredulity that settled on Lilyâs face would have been comical during different circumstances. âAre you dense?â she asked, stopping in her tracks to turn and face him fully. âThe tone, Remus! How did she say it? Was it casual? Hesitant? Was she giving you an out or hoping youâd ask her to join?â
Remus blinked, suddenly regretting every life choice that had led him to this conversation. âIâI donât know,â he admitted, running a hand through his already disheveled hair. âShe just said it.â
Lily groaned, throwing her hands up. âHopeless,â she muttered. âAbsolutely hopeless. All of you, every single one.â
Since James and Lily became an item his own friendship with Lily had flourished. It was nice, most of the time.Â
She was a force, much like James but with a different kind of intensityâone that was quieter, more precise. She had a way of picking apart his thoughts before he even had the chance to process them himself, which was both helpful and infuriating.
Most of the time, he appreciated it.
Right now, however, as she continued to stare at him like he was the dimmest person alive, he wasnât so sure.
âI donât even know why I brought it up,â he grumbled as he continued down the hall. It was a lie, boldfaced and completely. He knew why he brought it up.Â
James would be no help. He had known him long enough to predict exactly what he would sayâJust tell her, mate, whatâs the worst that could happen? And Remus was not about to do that. Because the pessimist that he was, Remus could go on and on about a hundred different ways doing that would end in complete and utter disaster. Sirius would likely say the same, in cruder fashion too most likely. Peter would likely agree with Remus, telling him that it was better to be safe than sorry, better to never give this the chance to turn into something that could potentially hurt him. Maybe, once upon a time, Remus would have taken that advice.Â
Which led him to the only other person he could turn to, and one that would likely have better adviceâLily Evans. She was, after all, the only one who wouldnât tell him to throw caution to the wind like James and Sirius, but also wouldnât feed into his self-sabotaging instincts the way Peter might.
Lily was practical but not cold. She was honest but not unkind. If anyone could help him untangle this messâor at the very least, stop him from spiraling any furtherâit was her.
Which was how he found himself trudging toward the library, bracing himself for whatever blunt wisdom she was about to throw at him.
Remus had a sneaking suspicion that James had already filled Lily in on the basics, he was right of course. He wasnât particularly mad about it though. He expected it because there was nothing James Potter kept from the redhead. If he had someone like that, someone who knew him, who saw him completely and still stayedâhe doubted heâd keep anything from them either.
Not that he was thinking about her in that way.
Not at all.
âI mean,â Lily said after a moment, tilting her head thoughtfully, âyou have to let her join, right?â
Remus opened his mouth to argue, but she continued before he could.
âItâll be a group of us, which would make it less tense,â she reasoned. âYou wouldnât have the pressure of it being one-on-one. Plus, itâd be nice not being the only girl stuck with you lot.â
Remus huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head. âI suppose thatâs a fair point.â
Lily grinned. âItâs an excellent point, actually.â
He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. âAnd what if it is tense? What if itâs weird?â
Lily gave him a look. âThen itâll be weird,â she said simply. âAnd youâll deal with it, like a grown adult, instead of running away and brooding over it in some dark corner of the castle.â
Remus groaned, but she wasnât wrong.Â
The pair entered the library, and Remus nearly turned right back around.
Because there she wasâsitting at one of the long wooden tables, completely lost in whatever she was studying, utterly unaware that she was the sole topic of their current conversation. He shouldnât be surprised. Of course sheâd be here. She was as much a creature of habit as he was. She always sat there, if the space was available, or on the second floor tucked away at one of the tables if the library was too crowded.Â
The only reason he knew that was because he also spent a lot of time in the library and just happened to notice.Â
Lily, none the wiser, kept talking, completely unbothered. Because unlike him, she wasnât acutely aware of her presence, wasnât pulled toward her like she was meant to be caught in her orbit. No, that was Remusâ plight to carry and his alone.Â
âEven if it is bad, right?â Lily continued. âSay it goes horribly wrongâthen thereâs always next time.â
Remus quickly leads them up the spiralling staircase and away from where she could potentially hear their conversation. He doesnât respond to Lily until theyâre sat at a table, that just happened to have a vantage point to their subject of conversation.Â
âWhat if it all goes to shit though,â Remus counters because he is nothing if not a doomer. ââWhat if I make a complete arse of myself, and she never wants to speak to me again?â He hesitated, then lowered his voice, almost as if saying it too loudly would make it real. âI will deny I ever said this if you tell anyone, but I think I might actually die if that happened. As in, keel over at that very moment and change the course of all of your lives.â
And thenâof courseâLily grinned. She at least had the decency to not laugh in his face. It was when she did things like these that reminded him why she and James got on so well. They were both menaces in their own right.Â
âOh,â she said, smugness creeping into her voice. âOh, this is so much worse than I thought. Never thought Iâd see grumpy Lupin so besotted. Donât tell me you've already started scribbling her name in your notes with little hearts around them as well.â
Remus groaned, dragging a hand down his face. âI hate you.â
âNo, you donât,â Lily sing-songed, looking far too pleased with herself. âBut I do love finally getting some honesty out of you.â
Remus risked a quick glance toward the table where she was still sitting, blissfully unaware of his absolute meltdown. Lily was right, of course, it was far worse than he was letting on.Â
Far, far worse. Not doodling her name bad⊠but give it another day and heâs not so sure.Â
âIâm opening up to you, please donât make me regret it,â Remus groaned, burying his head in his hands. This was by far the most vulnerable heâs ever been. Turning into a monster was one thing, but talking about his feelings? A different kind of torture entirely.Â
Lily patted his shoulder in what was probably meant to be a reassuring gesture but felt more like amusement.
âOh, Remus,â she sighed dramatically, âI would never make you regret this.â
He lifted his head just enough to shoot a glare at her.
âFine,â Lily relents far quicker than Remus knows the boys would have.Â
âLetâs imagine it goes horribly wrong, right? You make a fool of yourself, like a proper arse of yourself, and you canât string a sentence together orââ
âGet to the point,â Remus interrupted before he was sent into another spiral.Â
Lily smirked but, thankfully, complied. âThe point is, even if you do somehow manage to make a complete arse of yourselfâwhich, honestly, you wonâtâwhatâs the worst that happens? You get embarrassed? You sulk for a week? Do you honestly think sheâd hold it against you? She doesnât seem like the sort of girl to do that.â
Remus doesnât have a comeback for that, no retort because sheâs right. She didnât seem like that kind of girl.
She was kind.
Not in the way most people wereânot in a self-serving, transactional way, where kindness was given with the expectation of something in return.
She was kind in a way that seemed to come as naturally to her as breathing.
It was in the way she spoke to people, in the way she listened, in the way she noticed the smallest things about people and remembered them. It was in the way she had waited for him, in the way she had given him an out but never turned away. The offer hadnât felt like pressure for him to decide what he wanted then and there, it was just patience. A quiet, steady thing. A kind of understanding that made his chest ache, because who does that? Who waits like that? Who lets someone figure themselves out without expecting anything in return? The answer was no one. No one does that. Except her.Â
Because if Remus was feeling all these things, all these echoes of times long passed, then so was she. From the looks of it, she was handling it a lot better than he was. In the very least she wasnât actively looking like she was constantly on the verge of a meltdown the way he so clearly did. Or was she just better at hiding it?Â
That made him freeze. Heâd been so caught up in his own panic that he hadnât thought about her. He felt so⊠selfish. Because for all his overthinking, all his agonizing over the possibility of losing her, he hadnât considered that she might have been struggling with this too. That she might have been feeling the same echoes, the same pull, the same impossible weight of knowingâand yet, she had been the one who handled it with grace.
She had been the one to wait. To give him space. To let him run when every part of her had to have known that he was running from her.
Was that why she had refused to look at him in class?
Why she had avoided his gaze all day?
Was she preparing herself for the possibility that he would tell her that whatever this wasâwhatever it could beâwas something he didnât want?
The thought sent a sharp, unwelcome pang through his chest.
Because fuck, what if she was? What if she had already started pulling awayânot because she had changed her mind, but because she thought he had?Â
Because of his hesitation, his avoidance, his complete and utter inability to deal with emotions like a normal person?
For the first time all day, panic coiled tight in his gutânot from fear of what he might feel, but from the realization that she might think he had already made his choice. He had spent days thinking about what their past was like that he ignored what this version of himself was causing. Did she think⊠did she think he didnât want her? He couldnât blame her if she didâbecause, honestly, what else was she supposed to think? Every single thing he had done since that night pointed to the exact same conclusion.
Avoiding her. Ignoring her. Running every time she got too close.
Of course, she thought he didnât want her.
But that couldnât be farther from the truth.
He wanted her biblically, in a way that was pathetic.
He wanted her in a way that ached, in a way that made every cell in his body hum when she was near.
If he ever allowed himself, he would drown in her, surround himself in her, let himself have her in every way he had denied himself. He would be at her beck and call the same way he teased James for.
Following after her without hesitation, hanging onto her every word, looking for excuses to be near herâhe knew it. Heâd seen it happen to James, watched his best mate fall so hopelessly for Lily that he had reshaped himself without even realizing it.
And Remus had laughed. Had mocked him for it.
But now? Now, he was just as bad. Worse, even, because at least James had tried. At least James had done something about it instead of skulking around like a man starved, pretending he wasnât already half in love.
He doubted Lily, who was currently saying something to him that was going completely unheard, ever felt unwanted. He was willing to bet everything that James had never made her feel like it was a burden to be tied to her; but Remus was, even though it couldnât be farther from the truth. That made his stomach twist in the worst way, because the last thing he ever wanted to do was make her feel like she wasnât wanted. Like the burden lied with her and not with him and the beast that called his body home.Â
For the first time in his life, Remus was about to do something heâd never dream of doing. He was going to her, let her know that whatever was going on in that beautiful head of hers was wrong. He was going to tell her that his inability to handle his shit had nothing to do with ehr and everything to do with him being a complete and utter prat.Â
âIâm⊠Iâll be back,â is all he offers the bewildered redhead before heâs up from his seat. He moves, not allowing himself the time to overthink the way heâs sure he will later. Instead, he takes the stairs two at a time. The walk to her feels simultaneously like the longest trek of his life and the shortest. The wolf howls with each step closer, eager to finally be close to her once more.Â
Remus stops behind her seat, with the realization that he hadnât exactly planned how he would tell her, just that he knew he had to. He stood behind her chair for a minute, contemplating how to even begin a conversation. He was saved, or punished; the jury was still out, when she glanced behind her.Â
âWhat⊠did you need something?â she asked, her eyebrows knitted together in confusion as she looked up at him. He saw her hands twitched, as if ready to close her book and gather her things. Did she think he was about to ask her to leave?Â
Remus felt like he was going to pass out, having her eyes on him again made that same pressure settle in his chest, but it didnât feel as crushing. He probably looked like a right creep, standing there silently until she had turned around and then continued to remain silent.Â
âRemus?â came her voice, twinged with worry.Â
He felt his heart skip a beat, it was the first time sheâd said his nameâwell his first name. Sheâd normally refer to him as âLupinâ the way most people did. Hearing his name from her lips though⊠Merlin there wasnât a better sound. He cleared his throat, pushing through the warmth beginning to settle on his face and the lump that threatened to make him unable to form a sentence.Â
âWe usually sit near the back, by the fireplace. At the Three Broomsticks, I mean. Usually one of us goes ahead to make sure the spot isnât taken, typically itâs me, there was this whole thing with Pete and we just donât really task him with it anymore. So if you get there early Iâll⊠be there so,â Remus rambles and he canât seem to stop himself even though every cell in his body is screaming at him to shut up. âNot saying that you do. You can get there anytime you want. Not that Iâm telling you you have to go or-â
Her confusion melts into something softer, into something that makes the noise of the library fade. Being seen by her was a vulnerable thing, it was exposed nerves and crumbling walls. Remus had a feeling that being known by her would be a different thing entirely.Â
âIâm not good at this,â he confesses to her, like a penitent sinner seeking forgiveness from the only one that could grant it. âI donât⊠me being stupid and flighty doesnât mean that I donâtâŠâÂ
He doesnât know how to continue because if he does he knows he would have to admit all the things heâs been too much of a coward to. He would have to admit that he had already been half in love with her before this whole mess started and now it was just all⊠meant to be? He wasnât meant to die alone? That, yes, fate had been cruel but not that cruel? How is he meant to tell her that all of this has thrown his whole life off kilter and heâs desperately trying to make sense of it all? He canât say that, at least not now, so instead heâll give her the only truth he can.Â
âI want you to go,â it comes out like a breath heâd been holding in for too long. âI think you might find my friends incredibly annoying and Iâm afraid Iâll make a total fool of myself in front of you, but I want you there.â
He pauses, and before he can think better of it he adds in a whisper, âIâm⊠Iâm trying.âÂ
Itâs not perfect. Itâs not enough. It doesnât erase the way he ran, the way he still feels like heâll turn tail any minute. But it was all he could offer her. He figured sheâd tell him that he was a moron for thinking it would change anything, that it would mean anything, but then she did something he hadnât expected at all.Â
She smiled at him and the warmth of it rivaled the sun, it melted some part of him he had long since let freeze. No one had ever looked at him like thatâlike he was something worth looking at. She tilted her head in that way she did when she was thinking something over, considering it with great care before she responded. âIâll be there. I wonât be able to make it early, I have had plans with a few friends Iâd hate to cancel, but Iâll be there.âÂ
Remus nodded and held back from asking further questions. He wouldnât ask her which friend. He wouldnât ask her how long sheâd think sheâd be. He wouldnât ask her what their plans were. Even though he wanted to know everything she thought, did, or wanted, heâd resist.Â
âYeah⊠yeah of course. Weâre usually there for a while so you can stop by whenever you want,â he can feel his heartbeat in his ears, but he doesnât stumble over his words the way he thought he would. He was freaking the fuck outâof courseâbut he didnât do all the usual things he did when speaking to someone who wasnât one of the few close friends he had.Â
He didnât break eye contact.Â
He didnât let the words die in his throat when he didnât know how to continue.
He didnât shut down.Â
He just stood there, before herâvulnerable, exposed, raw, and trying.Â
âââ ââ
âŸâ
â âââ
âYou need to go,â she murmured, voice barely above a whisper. Keeping her eyes open was a herculean task and yet she tried. Sisyphean in nature, as if she could remain by his side by sheer force of will, âyou shouldnât be here. Youâll getââ
âOh, sweet girl, Iâm not going anywhere. Havenât I already said that,â his voice mirrored hers, soft but laced with a worry that didnât go unnoticed. He dabbed at her heated skin with a damp cloth, hoping to at least give her a modicum of comfort. He shushed her gently when she tried to protest, âLet me care for you, okay? Itâs what I was created for.â
There was nothing more he could do. No magical cure. No miracle to come, no matter how much he prayed or bartered his own life for hers. So, this was all he could do. He could only watch as another cough wracked through her frail body. Could only watch as another stained cloth was added to the pile, stained with a crimson that would haunt him for the rest of his days.Â
He brushed the hair from her face, letting his touch lingerâfor her comfort or his own, he wasnât sure. Her skin was too warm, her breath too shallowâhe knew what was next. He had known since the doctor came, he knew it when the apothecaries could only offer tonics that could ease her pain but not cure it. But knowing did little to prepare him. How could one even begin to prepare themselves for the single greatest loss of their lives? How was he meant toÂ
âIâm so tired,â as if she did not spend most of her days as of late lost in dreams, hidden away where the pain could not find her.Â
âI know, my heart, I know,â he suppressed his sobs, her last moments would not be in the presence of his sorrow. That could wait, for now all that mattered was her. All that ever mattered was her. âBest to get your rest, hm? Being the fairest girl is such work, that must be why you are so tired.âÂ
Her eyes, unfocused and seeing a world he could not, met his, âSuch work.âÂ
The next words from her lips broke his heart even further, âIâm sorry.âÂ
âYou donât have a thing to be sorry for,â he responded firmly and filled with so much love it was about to break his heart in twoâa piece for her to take so that she is not alone for too long in the place he could not follow her and the other to shrivel in his chest. âNot a thing.â
âIâm afraid,â she muttered, a moment of lucidity that had come so rarely in the passing days. She sounded so small and he could do nothing to shield her from it. The place she would go would be one he could not follow her to.Â
âYou wonât be alone for long, my heart. I will be there before you know it,â he memorized her face for a final time. âJust wait for me,â he whispered as he carded his fingers through her damp hair.Â
Her eyes shut and they did not open again. The sobs that he refused to let her see now tore through him with a vengeance. The sound of a man who had just lost everything that made his days worth living. He peppered her face with kisses, for each time she had refused. If asked, he wouldnât be able to say how long he kneeled there beside her, just that he had.Â
He did not live to see next spring.
If she was only permitted nineteen, then he would not witness a twentieth without her. It was for the best, really. His sweet girl, his heart, had left him there and he had to find her.Â
It was his job, it was what he was created for.Â

A thousand times
Josie Saltzman x Male Reader
Request- could you do a male reader x josie Saltzman. Josie and Reader started their relationship when the reader and Hope broke up, at a party reader noticed Josie sitting by herself and decided to talk to her.
You went to a party because you were forced to go because of your friends. You wanted to stay in your dorm room but that didn't happen. Now, you are just looking at everyone and holding your cup. Everyone is having fun and dancing and you feel out of place and you don't want to be around everyone. Hope broke your heart when she dumped you now you avoid her because the pain still hurts. You see her and she waved at you, but you just walked away.
You see Josie sitting by herself by the corner. You went towards her and sit next to her and she smiled at you.
âHey Josie,â You said
âHey Y/N,â Josie said
âI didn't expected you to be here,â Josie said
âI could say the same to you. But Caleb and MG dragged me to the party so I won't be locked in my room foreverâ You said
âLizzie dragged me here too. I didn't want to come but she begged me to go. I looked away then she was goneâ Josie said
âShe is talking to Hope and some other people. She is having funâ You said
âI just don't want to be here,â Josie said
âWe could leave and just talk,â You said
âWe could do thatâ Josie smiled
You leave the party with Josie. Now, you are sitting in Josieâs bed and looking around her room. You and Josie are sitting very close to each other on the bed.
âAre you reading this book?â You asked
You grabbed the book that was on her bed.
âI like the author. Itâs my first time reading the bookâ Josie said
âI like the book. I think you will like it, the ending I didn't like but I won't tell youâ You said
âI didn't know you liked the author because not many people know about himâ Josie smiled
âI don't talk about books with other people. I mostly read when Iâm alone in my roomâ You said
âSame or I will read by sitting next to a tree,â Josie said
Now, you and Josie start to talk about music. You find out she is into indie rock and she shows you the artist she is listening to named Yot Club. Then you told her about your favorite band and she knows the band. You didn't notice but your fingers are on top her fingers but she noticted but didn't say anything to you. She always had feelings for you but lost her chance when you started dating Hope, but she isn't sure when to you how she feels about you.
While talking, she kissed you on the lips. You start to kiss her back and she doesn't pull away. In her mind, she is happy that she is kissing you.
ââ-
You are feeling sad and you are thinking bad about yourself. You are alone sitting by a tree and you are staring at your phone, staring at pictures of you and Hope together.
âI can't believe I was stupid to believe she was the oneâ
You said to yourself and your eyes became watery. But you didn't notice that Josie was in front of you.
âYou are not stupid, Y/N,â Josie said
You looked up in shock.
âWhat-what you heard that?â You said
âYeah. I came here to read alone, I didn't know you would be hereâ Josie said
âYou can sit here. I just wanted to be alone and you know its hard to get that at school. Can I ask you something?â You said
âSure,â Josie said
She sits next to you and you look at her.
âHow can a girl say, she loves you then out of nowhere say she doesn't love you anymoreâ You said
âLove is complicated. To be honest, I think she got scared because she never fully gave herself to someone and it scared her. I don't think she fell in love before she started dating you, everyone is differentâ Josie said
She sees you deleting the pictures of you and Hope together. But she waits for you to say something
âHave you ever had your heart broken?â You asked
âYeah, but I got over it because my sister was there for me to hear me talk about it. If you want to talk about it, I will listen to youâ Josie said
âJust wish it was easy to get over it. Some days, Iâm fine thinking I moved completely then out of nowhere it hits me and I will think bad about myself. I don't think was good enough for her and I don't think I will be good enough for anyone. Iâm tired I give a part of me to someone and at the end I get hurt and I have to pretend it didn't hurt and Iâm fine because I don't want to be burden to anyone about what Iâm going there, so I lie saying Iâm fine when Iâm notâ You said
âYou are good enough, Y/N. I will be here to listen to you, I mean it. Some days, you will feel like that but you have to keep moving forward, it sounds cliche but it is the truthâ Josie said
You and Josie continued to talk and she actually listened to you. After a while for talking, you and Josie don't say anything for a little bit just to enjoy the silence for a bit.
⯠⏠⯠âŹ
2 Months LaterâŠ
Almost everyday you have been spending time with Josie. Talking about everything and always sitting by the tree to be alone with her. There were times, you and Josie would kiss each other and she developed stronger feelings for you. And she has been helping you move on from Hope, but you still avoid her.
You are lying in your bed, reading the book that Josie gave you. But she didn't knock on the door, she just opened the door and walked in then you sat up and got out of bed.
âHey, what Can I do for you?â You said
âWhat are we?â Josie asked
âFriends?â You said
âFriends!?â Josie yelled
âGood friends?â You said
âSo we can't be more?â
âI'm sorry Josie, I can't right now, I'm still heartbroken, and trust me youâre helping and I can get there someday,â You said
âOh,â Josie said
She looks away.
âI like you a lot but I don't want you to be a rebound. I want to completely heal so that we will be able give each other what we want, if that makes senseâ You said
âNo, that makes sense Y/N. I really like you and I like spending time with youâ Josie said
âI feel the same way,â You said
âFine, but Hope will freak out,â Josie said
âYeah, but I won't care what she thinks,â You said
ââ-
A lot has been going on, Josie became Dark Josie. Now everyone is trying to find way to get rid of Dark Josie but it's not easy. You and the others are tried to come up with a plan to save Josie.
âSo you are the one that she likes,â Dark Josie said
âI don't want to hurt you,â You said
She laughed but she just walked towards you.
âYou are mine now Y/N,â Dark Josie said
âIâm not,â You said
âYou are, now shut up and kiss me,â Dark Josie said
âYou are so hot right nowâ You smirked
âI know,â Dark Josie smirked
She grabbed your shirt and pulled you closer, then you felt her tongue going into your mouth and you started to kiss her back. Hope and Lizzie started to say a spell to weaken her, you moved and the spell is starting to work. They keep going then Josie will have a chance to defeat Dark Josie.
⯠⏠⯠âŹ
Josie is lying on the bed and she starts to wake up, and you are sitting by her side.
âY/N,â Josie said
âHow are you feeling?â You asked
âI feel okay. Did you get hurt because of me?â Josie said
She sits up and you sit on the bed and you grab her hand.
âNo, I didn't get hurt. Dark Josie kissed me. She let her guard down while Lizzie and Hope used a spell to help you defeat Dark Josieâ You said
âIt did work. You liked Dark Josie?â Josie said
âYou are hot, Josie. Any version of you I will find attractive. But I like this version of you even moreâ You said
Josie couldn't help to smile and you smiled at her. You slowly lean in and you kiss her, then she puts her hand behind your neck and she starts to kiss you back.
âDo you want to go to the dance with me?â You asked
âYes,â Josie smiled
She kisses you again.
ââ-
Lizzie is happy for her sister, she helped Josie pick out a dress. Then Lizzie gave you the talk about not breaking Josieâs heart. You and Josie enter the dance room and she is holding your arm. Hope did look but you didn't notice her then you looked at Josie
âYou look so beautiful,â You smiled
âYou look handsome, Y/N,â Josie said
âLetâs danceâ You smiled
You and Josie walk down then you slow dance with her. You have your hands on her hips and she has her arms around your shoulders.
âDo you want to be my girlfriend, Josie?â You asked
âReally?â Josie asked in shock
âYeah, I mean it,â You said
âYes, I will be your girlfriendâ Josie smiled
She gives you a peck on the lips and you continue to dance with her.

The Last Drop was buzzing with energy, the low hum of conversations, clinking glasses, and the occasional shout of triumph from the back corner where the arm wrestling contests were taking place. Sevika had her elbows planted firmly on the worn wooden table, her thick, muscular arm locked in a battle with some burly guy twice her size. He was struggling, sweat dripping down his face as he triedâand failedâto match her strength.
âCome on, man,â Sevika chuckled, effortlessly pushing his arm down with a smirk. âYou shouldâve known better.â
The crowd surrounding them laughed, some clapping as the guy pulled away, cursing under his breath. Sevika wiped her hand on her pants and leaned back, feeling the rush of victory as the next challenger stepped up, eager for their shot.
You were sitting nearby, watching the spectacle with a quiet smile. Your partner was unbeatable when it came to arm wrestling, and the thrill of watching her take on all comers never got old. You werenât a slouch yourself, though; after all, Sevika didnât get with you because you were weak. The thing was, she didnât know just how strong you were when you first started dating.
âHey, Sevika!â a voice suddenly called out from the crowd, drawing her attention. It was one of the regulars at the bar, a grinning guy with a few drinks in him. âYou should arm wrestle your girl!â
Sevika raised an eyebrow, looking over at you. You smiled, giving a casual shrug. âWhy not?â you said, already pushing back your chair. âIâm game.â
When Sevika first got together with you, she had no idea how strong you were. She knew you could handle yourself, knew you werenât the kind to be messed with, but she never really considered just how strong you were. Not until tonight, anyway.
Sevika hesitated for a moment, the doubt flickering across her features. âNah, I donât want to hurt you,â she muttered, a soft smile tugging at her lips. âYou know, I donât exactly go easy on people.â
âIâll be fine,â you assured her. You shot the guy a wink. âYou said it. Letâs see what happens.â
The crowdâs interest grew, murmurs running through them as they cleared a space at the table. Sevika sighed, still unsure, but she rolled up her sleeves and took her seat across from you, her large hands curling into position.
âReady?â she asked, though her tone was hesitant, a bit protective.
You grinned. âBorn ready.â
The moment your hands met, you could feel her strength, the muscle and power that lay beneath her skin. It was no surprise to you. You knew she was strong, but you had a little trick up your sleeveâstrength that had been carefully kept hidden.
Sevika applied pressure, expecting you to struggle a little, but instead, you locked your elbow in place, your body still as a rock. Her brow furrowed in confusion, and she pushed harder. But your grip only tightened, and with a swift twist of your wrist, you turned her hand downward. The room went silent for a moment before the cheers erupted. Youâd won.
Sevika blinked, her hand still resting on the table as the crowd erupted into applause and laughter. Some even began to hoot in disbelief, shouting, âDid Sevika let her win?â
âNo way, she didnât let her win,â someone called out.
But the whispers quickly turned into another round of arm wrestling challenges, and one by one, the crowd took turns testing you, thinking that Sevika had just been being nice. But each challenger fell to your strength, one after the other. No matter how big or strong they were, you were always stronger.
By the time the game ended, you were leaning back in your chair, content with the eveningâs little surprise. The crowd slowly dissipated, but Sevika was still sitting there, staring at you with wide eyes, a mix of admiration and shock on her face.
âOkay, what the hell?â she muttered, almost in disbelief. âYou never told me you were that strong.â
You shrugged nonchalantly. âYou never asked.â
Sevikaâs eyes narrowed, but there was a playful glint in them now. âI thought I was the strong one around here.â
âYou are,â you said with a grin, your voice teasing. âBut I guess youâve got some competition.â
As you both made your way out of the Last Drop, Sevika was still processing everything. Her gaze kept flicking to you, almost like she was reassessing every interaction youâd ever had.
When you two got home, she wasnât done with it. She flopped down onto the couch, arms crossed, her head tilted to the side. âAlright, letâs try this again,â she said, sounding more determined than ever. âThis time, Iâm gonna beat you.â
You raised an eyebrow, feeling a small thrill of anticipation. âAre you sure about that?â
Sevika rolled up her sleeves, settling into position. You mirrored her, your palms pressed together once more.
She grunted as she applied pressure, determined to overpower you. Her face flushed, muscles straining as she pushed with all her might. You held firm, not budging an inch. The longer the battle lasted, the more frustrated she got, until, with a sudden flick of your wrist, her hand hit the table again.
You smirked. âBetter luck next time.â
Sevika let out a long sigh, slouching back against the couch. âHow the hell did I not know this about you?â she groaned.
You chuckled, reaching over to ruffle her hair affectionately. âGuess Iâve got a few secrets up my sleeve.â
She groaned again, but this time, there was a smile on her face as she looked up at you, completely in awe. âYouâre full of surprises, arenât you?â
You winked. âOnly the good kind.â
Sevika gave a low laugh, shaking her head. âNext time, you are gonna let me win, right?â
You raised your eyebrows innocently. âWeâll see about that.â
And as she continued to stare at you, all shock and admiration, you knew one thing for sure: this was a relationship full of surprises, and you wouldnât change a thing.
