Tina: Dude, I feel like Fit wants to answer, he can hardly contain his excitement!
Fit: Sorry– I'm just excited to be here, that's all! That's all.
Phil: Wiggling in his seat...
Tina: He really wants to tell us who he wants to kiss, marry, and kill.
Pac: You- you wanna say, Fit?
Fit: Huh?
Pac: Huh?
Tina: Come on Fit, share with the class! 🤭
Bad: Honestly, so many choices to kill!
Fit: Oh, I don't wanna- I don't wanna interrupt Bad.

Part 3 - Clexa x reader headcannons
This got longer that i wanted to :)
Lol at this point really this feels more like the bones of a fic that i was too lazy to elaborate. Oh wait. It is exactly that. Enjoy.
Part 2
Warnings: Violence. Nothing too explicit. And self deprecating thoughts :)
- An internal war was brewing. Azgeda against the coalition. Against Lexa.
- Lexa needed help. Clarke's help.
- A coup was happening. There were infiltrators amongst her people trying to undermine Lexa. Saying she wasn't the true commander. Not fit to lead. Not loyal to their ways. Weak.
- She needed you.
- Days later, you got a visitor. Though, it wasn't who you were expecting.
- Clarke? Yes. Lexa? She would have to eventually face you. Now, Adrien? Well, you couldn't hold the tears when you saw the blond teenager.
- "Adrien!"
- "Sorry for the delay, they wouldn't let me pass."
- You laughed while you sniffed and tried to clean you tears.
"And now they did?"
- "Not really" he shrugged. At seeing your raised eyebrow, he smiled cheekly. "I have my ways."
- You would be lying if you said you weren't a little bit proud.
- "What have you come here for?"
- "What do you mean? I came to see you!"
- You almost burst into tears.
- You cheer up, though. And ask him about how he was doing. And he tells you, in a boyish way. Something that he only ever did in front of you or Lexa.
- It always warms you heart to see him that way. Relaxed, free to be the kid he was, without the weight of his destiny as a natblida.
- He asks you about your time. And you try your damn best to make him laugh. You are sucessful.
- "Oh! You were with the Wanheda! Yeah! Lexa introduced me to her once. She seems smart."
- You smile. "She is very smart."
- You get confused though. Lexa was very protective of Adrien.
- "Why, Why did she introduce you two?"
- You didn't know much about Lexa and Clarke's relationship. Sure, you were there at the beginning, but not much after.
- So you were suspicious at the very least.
- Clarke forgave Lexa. And, apparently, Lexa trusted Wanheda enough to introduce her to Adrien.
- To you, that was telling a lot.
- "She wanted me to promise to Clarke when i become Heda i'd protect the skaikru."
- "What? Why would she want that? Why would she do that? She's not dead! Nor is going to die! We're not in the middle of a war or something? Are we? How long have i been here? Is Lexa in danger? Does she need help? I have to leave this cell! I have to make sure she doesn't get hurt!"
- You were spiraling. Adrien needed a few tries to get you to breath.
- "Heda is fine! She's not in danger! She's okay!"
- She's okay. She's okay.
- Adrien doesn't stay long after that. He was going to be caught if he didn't leave soon.
- Lexa doesn't take much longer to come to you.
- "Heda" you tilt your head in respect.
- She stays in silence and positions herself right in front of you. Head held high, arms behind her back just like the disciplined leader she was.
- You wait for her. You give her time.
- And while she was in silence trying to not break your neck or something, you make an assessment of her.
- She was in her clothes of Heda. No guards behind her.
- No injuries either. Good.
- Her hair was in it's usual style. Her green eyes seemed to shine a little brighter. Her shoulders weren't as heavy.
- Clarke, you presumed. Somehow, Clarke was helping Lexa. Just like the way she helped you.
- Days i couldn't get out of bed, she was there. I hope she is there for you and you are there for her.
- You heart then seemed to ache.
- You realize. Shit. Wait...
- You saw them in the beginning. And you could sense now. They are together, aren't they?
- You are happy for them. They deserve eachother. No one was more deserving.
- "Love is weak." but you could bet their love could conquer the world.
- As i would for you.
- A selfish part of you wanted them to you. To be with them.
- You knew you felt something for Clarke.
And though your relationship with Lexa was complicated, you couldn't not care for her. For the both of them.
- You just wish for more. To be more.
- But, that's impossible. You would do them no good.
- You were a spy. An assassin. A traitor.
- You look at the now frowning Heda. You betrayed and almost killed Lexa.
- At somepoint, maybe, you would've done the same to Clarke.
- Yes. They deserve eachother, and you belonged nowhere.
- A traitor the Ice Nation and the coalition. A traitor to Lexa.
- Your chest felt like it was squeezing. You couldn't hold the heavy and defeaning gaze of the Heda.
- So, you spoke.
- "Are you going to speak? Have you came here to just look at me and bask in my misery? Or do you have something important to say? Perphaps my death sentence."
- "Do you want your death? Do you think you deserve to live after what you've done?"
- For some reason, Clarke's words come to you.
- "We all make mistakes, Heda. I can't erase mine, so i shall take the consequences. Whatever you deem suitable, i will take it. If i have to die, then so be it. Just get to it."
- Lexa stays quiet at that. This time, not for long.
- "You will have a... Second chance... To prove yourself."
- You weren't expecting that. People from earth weren't... Merciful. Neither was Lexa. Not for something like treason. You still remembered Gustus.
- It seemed like that wasn't the case anymore.
- "How... How do want me to prove myself?"
- "Doing what you are acquainted with. Spying."
- You understand then. You are not getting second chance. No. You are going to serve Lexa, to be used and then discarded.
- She doesn't tell you anything more. She just calls for the guards and they just... Open you cell.
- You knew she said you'd be in probation, still, you were shocked.
- "Do you remember how to walk?" Lexa says, looking at you over her shoulder when you don't follow her. "or have you grown attached to your cell?"
- You shake yourself from your stupor.
- You go to the throne room(?) and there she is, Clarke.
- You give her a smile, though it weakens when you remember. You do her no good. You are only means to an end. A knive to help killing their enemies.
- You mean nothing. You can't. You won't.
- She notices your lack of enthusiasm. And that makes the bright smile on her face simmer down.
- You don't waste time on formalities or trivialities. You go straight to the point.
- They needed your help. Lexa needed your help.
- Lexa alongside Clarke explains everything.
- They make a great pair.
- People were trying to undermine Lexa's people and throw them against her.
- They were afraid of a coup. Of the other nations breaking the aliance and rebelling against Lexa and, most likely, joining Nia.
- When you realize Nia is alive, you don't really know what to do. Or feel. So you do your best to brush that aside.
- What you were needed to do was simple. You did things more dangerous and complicated. You needed to pretend to want to destroy Lexa, get into this little group and then report what you found out to Heda and Wanheda.
- Easy.
- "It will be done, Heda." you said serious.
- "Good."
- You never ran out of a room so fast.
Only maybe when you tried to kill your Heda.
- You just roam around. Not knowing just where to go. You didn't want to go back to your cell nor did you knew if could just get out.
- Everything felt awfully familliar.
- So familliar and yet so foreign. So out of place.
- Your mind was swelling with so many thoughts and your body with so many feelings. You felt like you could throw up.
- The bliss of solitude doesn't last long.
- Clarke reaches you.
- At first, she is silence. A very welcomed quiet.
- But all good things must come to an end.
- She asks how you are.
- You almost laugh at how ridiculous that felt. And almost tear up at how all seemed to bubble up in your throat, begging to be released, for you to throw up.
- You swallow, feeling a burning and acid in your throat.
- "I am ecstastic. I will be freed. How thrilling."
- "You used to be a much better liar than this."
- "Maybe you just used to be denser."
- "Maybe."
- She doesn't speak again. And for some dumb and sentimental reason, you felt yourself spilling words as if they were choking you.
- "There wasn't many people that knew me, truly know me. Just one. My... Friend. He was perceptive, but more than just that. He knew me."
- Ronan was like a brother to you.
- You grew up with no family, no friends.
- Treated by everyone only as a weapon for the kingdom. Except Ronan.
- He trained alongside you.
- You were molded to be a ruthless assassin and he was molded to be an unstoppable warrior.
- You sometimes faced the same training or task.
- Learning how to move in a fight.
- Analyzing each and every types of weapons.
- Hunting wild animals.
- Torturing enemies.
- Killing comrades.
- On a task when you were 12 years old, you were released into the forest with the task of finding and then dueling each other.
- you were supposed to be silent, agile and deadly.
- He must be brute, merciless to attack and quick to defend.
- You found him, but he's the one who knocked you out.
- That day, in that way, he earned your respect.
- And somewhere along the way, you became… friends.
- And a year later, when he took the blame for stealing a loaf of bread for you, he became a brother.
- You watched the 13-year-old boy's punishment with horror. But also with relief.
- It would have been you there.
- When asked why he took the whipping instead, he simply shrugged his shoulders and said:
"You're pretty skinny, I don't think you would have held up."
- At the time, he was the only person besides the queen you trusted.
-You missed him.
- Now, having also betrayed Queen Nia, you understood Ronan. Even if the tinniest bit.
- He had to save Costia. You only imagine how his failure must weight on him.
- You imagine if you had killed Lexa. And your stomach churns.
- Clarke tells you of Ronan. He was the one that kidnapped her.
- Of course. You should've known, but you were preocupied by something else. Like getting Clarke safe.
- "Is he... Is he still here? In Polis?"
- "I don't know. Maybe. Lexa must know."
- You didn't have the energy to talk to Lexa or to go after Ronan or do anything.
- You just wanted to sleep.
- You say your goodbyes to Clarke. You don't explain.
- You see that she's hesitant to let you alone, but doesn't push.
- Good. You really wanted some time to just be. And get a good long sleep.
- Not knowing whereelse to go, you go back to your cell.
- The guards were confused, but let you in regardless.
- You pay them no mind.
- You just... Lay in the hard cold ground. You were already used to that.
- You are going to be used. She wants you to do her dirty work to save herself.
- It turns out, despite all the sadness you felt, you didn't care all that much.
- As long as she is safe, you would be fine.
- As long as they are happy.

Thy wish is my command.
Okay, so, you know how Keisuke is the oldest sibling? This probably means he got into the role of the successor of the park's management pretty early on. By observing closely the Otoris we learn that Keisuke is the golden, patient and obedient son, Hinata is the mediator and caretaker and Emu is the "mascot" and eventually a scapegoat. But what about Shousuke?
This might be a little subjective, but my theory is that Shousuke was forced into the business a little later as a right hand man and not from the very start the way his brother was. Which means he had dreams and he had hope. Before he grew up, of course.
To understand the Otori family we need to understand that, at least until post Wonder Magical Showtime, it's rather a work group than a family. The ambiance we see in Smile Of A Dreamer is cold and distant and contrasts so much with what we've seen Emu be like during the previous events that the vision of Phoenix Wonderland as a place full of jollity and magic just doesn't fit with the family that directs it. Emu is part of the family, but it's like we are proved time and time again that she does not fit there at all.
But Emu isn't the only one who's going through it.
The first instances we see the Otori brothers we learn just how important their job is to them. The park is their responsibility just like the Otori family is. To perceive the Otori brothers means to understand that, in their eyes, they think they're doing the right thing. They think they are saving the park, and if they're saving the park, perhaps they're saving their family too.
"Why do you care about smiles and laughter so much if it's the thing that brought this part down in the first place?" Shousuke views Emu as what he was before the park's business took over his life. He wants to give Emu a lesson on growing up because that's what happened to him and he wants to prevent her from future heartbreak when she discovers her dreams are falling apart. Probably because he has lost hope too.
But then Wxs comes around, and suddenly Emu's dreams aren't protected by her alone. These 3 clown-looking snotty teenagers come up to him telling him he's a retarded old man with no silliness left in his bones and he'll die alone and unhappy. And behind the three of them hides Emu, his sister. His sister chose her troupe over her own park. Over her own family
It always confused me with how much easiness the Otoris forgave Emu after the Wonder Magical Showtime show given the fact that they literally hacked the entire park in the process. But let's just remember they saw that show too: they saw their little sister bring life to the park they hadn't seen in years, they saw her troupe connect all the troupes like they've never done before, the whole audience is smiling.
They forgive Emu because she managed to do something they didn't think was possible. They forgive Emu because, in the end, she is their sister more than the park will ever be their purpose.
And now let's go to Island Panic and relive the scene that not only kick started the whole disbandment arc but also the scene where everyone forgot Shousuke was present. Yeah, I'm talking about the campfire scene. 4 kids (and Robonene) tell each other about their dreams and aspirations in life, eyes glimmering with passion and longing that ring in Shousuke's mind like an old forgotten bedtime fairytale. Then he looks at Emu and sees the same vivid colours reflected in her eyes.
So, Shousuke looks at Emu. He looks at Emu and he knows that these people love her just as much as he loves her. He wonders if, for once, hope is not yet lost.
Months later Rui (the same guy that started beef with him the moment he laid eyes on him *cough cough*) asks for permission to take his sister with them on their journey to lands far beyond the park. Far beyond home. I think it's no wonder they accept whatever option is it that'll make their sister happiest. After all, what's the meaning of life if not the pursuit of those you love?
Aaaaaaand that's the reason Shousuke's hair is a little pinkish. He's more humane. He still remembers what being childish and reckless and hopeful was like and that highly impacts his relationship with Emu. and I think his hair will grow pinkier in the future but that's just a head canon of mine.
Guys I don't think we talk about Shousuke Otori enough. I don't think we talk about any of the Otoris enough actually but just let me be for a second. I swear this man has a reason for having a slightly more pinkish hair colour than the rest please hear me out plea—

Okokok here this: april, reader and casey try to prank the boys. How does it go. With who does it fails/success, what was the prank, do they get caught? Do the boys get revenge, and if so, how?
Also, splinter sees it all unfolds, does he just gets himself a snack and watch, or does he tries to subtly join in without getting caught? (We all know hes got a playful side cmon)
Bonus: they try to prank vern too, maybe the boys join in to prank him? What do they do? Does he retaliate?
Okay so I admit I let my brain go nuts on this one, so it's a little long but I was cackling the entire time I was writing it.
TMNT Headcanons
Prank Wars
Leonardo
In your complete and utter defence, Leo had 100% started this
And also in your defence, you did tell him not to
Twice
But he tricked you into watching a horror movie and ended up dying your hair green
This meant war
You'd even wrapped up April and Casey into it
Their problems were your problems
Which meant that April was the one who convinced Splinter not to say anything to his sons
He was perfectly happy to oblige
Casey was just there to help set things up
And you liked the way his mind worked
The objective wasn't to go unnoticed, there would be no point in doing it and having no proof
You were doing this to prove that you could
Leo had emphasized that he couldn't be distracted
That you were to obvious and clumsy to prank him without him noticing
Challenge fucking accepted
And that's how you ended up at the kitchen table eating lunch with April and Casey when the boys were coming back from meditating with Splinter
April kept having to shove food in her mouth to hide her laughter
Casey just decided to wear sunglasses
And you kept overpowering the urge to smirk
"Hey guys, good to see you. Y/n have you seen my katanas?"
With the obstruction of water in your mouth you just nodded at him, pointing to the other room
He sauntered off, none the wiser to your victorious grin
When he came back in only a moment later his expression had done a complete 180
Leo made direct eye contact with you and you held that stare like a wolf cornered in its den
"does someone want to explain why my katanas are encased in blueberry jello?"
You raised your hand like a child in class
"hate to break it to you, but it's actually berry blue you uncultured bitch"
Raphael
Ohhhh you were so undeniably dead
A whole other level of six feet under
It wasn't a surprise that April and Casey had backed out on this one
It also wasn't a surprise that Splinter had offered to stand up for you if things went sideways
Donnie even gave you a sheet of paper with a list of hiding spots before hand
All of this went completely unnoticed by Raph, the target of your latest scheme.
And that was fine, you had only one objective here-
Make it out alive
But it was amazing what 1 person could do with some extra cash and internet access
So that's what led you to your current position.
Cross legged on the bench, watching the large red terrapin get ready for his first set, that in itself wasn't unusual, you always watched him lift just in case you needed to run and grab someone if something went wrong
Raph was none the wiser to your plan
At least that's what you thought
Your book was in your lap and you were calmly scanning your pages, somewhat comprehending the words but keeping a very close eye on the turtle across from you
"Hey y/n?"
You peeked over the edge of your book to meet his eyes
And your heart sank to your stomach
"Yeah Raph?"
He smirked at you, taking a lumbering step forward
"You ever seen that episode of the Office where Jim fills Dwight's phone with nickels so when he takes 'em out Dwight punches himself in the face?"
Shit shit shit shit shit shit-
"Uh... No, can't say that I have, why do you ask?"
That damn smile got even wider and all of your muscles tensed, you were ready to bolt
"I'm giving you a fifteen second headstart. Starting right now."
You flew to your feet and sprinted out of the weight room
"DONNIE WE GOTTA CODE RED!"
Your lungs were ready to burst by the time you made it to your decided hiding spot. Heavy footsteps went right underneath you and you held your breath, you wouldn't dare move.
You didn't come down until hours later when Splinter came and coaxed to you out of hiding
But deep down you knew you'd started something you couldn't finish.
Vern Fenwick
You didn't even have to convince the guys to partake in this
You didn't even get the chance to tell them what you were planning
They were already brainstorming
None of you let a word of it slip to April, she would've shut you down faster than you could blink
A complete buzz kill
But fake blood was relatively cheap and all of Vern's flooring was tile (meaning extremely easy to clean and bleach)
Donnie had really been the mastermind behind the execution, none of you had any idea how he'd rigged the apartment plumbing
But he'd assured you it would only affect Vern's suite and no one else's so you didn't concern yourself with it further
And after the fact you had to wonder what exactly the former cameraman was planning on the date he'd been in the middle of
All you knew was that you got a very frantic call from the falcon himself yelling about blood coming out of his tap and the sink wouldn't shut off and it was everywhere and what the fuck was happening?
You all knew that Splinter thought it was hilarious, he'd never been particularly fond of Vern
But he did make his sons assist in the clean up and bleaching of the victims apartment floor
You went too and offered moral support
Vern had hit on you one too many times, so there was no way you'd feel bad about this
Michaelangelo
As far as pranking went, you and Mikey were partners in crime
He always had great ideas and you always came up with the best ways to execute those ideas without getting caught
But when you separated those two chaos was guaranteed
You weren't entirely sure how you had been pitted against each other but you weren't entirely mad about it
You couldn't say the same for anyone else though, the others had been on edge all week.
Pranking Mikey was a challenge, he knew how you worked and vice versa
You'd been brainstorming with April for weeks now, maybe a new perspective would help
That's what the two of you told yourselves anyways
Much to your dismay, Mikey and Casey had been plotting against you as well, the traitor.
And perhaps even more unfortunate was the fact that both of your pranks somehow overlapped and backfired on the rest of the family
Because Mikey and Casey may have replaced the family tea set with a edible sugar replica that looked identical to the original
So that when you were asked to make tea for Splinter and Leo it would dissolve the second you poured the hot tea
But they didn't tell anyone else so Leo was left with an impromptu anxiety attack when he made his own tea before sitting down to meditate and it melted into sugary leaf water
And you and April had planned the 'cutting off your finger in the kitchen' with the knife, fake finger, and fake blood
Which in theory should've worked because Mikey was in the kitchen the most, that was his territory
However once you'd started your plan you couldn't stop it
so when you 'cut your finger off' and screamed for Mikey you didn't have time to yell "wait it's a prank!" before Donnie caught a glimpse of the scene and fainted
In your defence you didn't know the purple turtle could move that fast
And to Mikey's relief he was going to throw that cutting board out anyways
Splinter explicitly banned the two of you from pranking each other after that incident
Donatello
Per your own common sense you had come to the conclusion that pranking the families resident genius was a horribly stupid idea
So for once, you'd practiced some self control and refrained from any pranks involving Donnie
Now that's not to say that the turtle vowed from aiming any pranks towards you
He had morals but messing with you walked the line separating adorable from batshit crazy
And he was all for it
April advised against it severely and even Splinter seemed to think it wasn't the best idea, but that was a lesson his son had to learn on his own
On the flip side, the second Casey heard about Donnie's plan he was all for it
So when you came over for dinner they both had to hide their excited smiles as Casey passed you your spaghetti
He knew it was your favorite
Everyone else was oblivious, which looking back on it was a very bad thing
April had her suspicions that Donnie was pulling something this evening, but she couldn't put her finger on it
That wasn't until you swirled a mouthful of noodles around your fork and shoved it into your mouth, you were starving
Here lies your predicament-
You swallowed thickly and blinked like you were in pain, your hand went to your throat and you reached for your water, ending up chugging almost the entire bottle.
Your eyes met Donnie's in a serious type of concern
"Is there hot sauce in this?"
April choked on her breadstick and quickly covered her mouth
Casey hadn't picked up on it yet
"Awh yeah- how'd you figure it out so quickly?"
You erupted in a coughing fit that sent April rushing to your side before you could tumble to the floor
"You fucking assholes! Y/N has a capsaicin allergy! Casey go start the car we need to get them to the hospital!"
On the bright side you were fine after you were rushed to the ER
But you didn't speak to Donnie or Casey for two weeks following the accident
You eventually forgave them for it and they haven't targeted you since
Sorry if it got a little dark at the end, but I felt like it was more realistic. Also that has actually happened to me but it was a nut allergy (and that's how I found out I was allergic to cashews) But I feel like the ending was a good example of how pranking someone can go horribly wrong, you should always consider the possibilities before doing something that could cause harm to a person. (Unless they really really deserve it)
I really enjoyed writing this one and I hope you guys like it as much as I do! 😁🧡👍

Part Three | Masterlist
- - - -
“Father?”
A voice calling out in the church stops us mid kiss.
“Oh shit, it’s Pam!” The Priest whispers, eyes wide.
“Father, are you in here?” She calls out again.
Remembering his confession about hiding from her I can’t help but find it amusing we’re now both hiding in this tiny box. A tiny giggle escapes my lips and the Priest shushes me, placing his hand gently over my mouth.
After a minute Pam finally retreats back to her room, leaving us alone. The priest waits another few seconds before removing his hand and letting out a sigh.
“That was too close”
“Was kinda hot though” I reply, planting a kiss on his lips.
“Yeah it was” he laughs, kissing me back “but we should probably move this back to my office incase she comes back” He kisses me again and takes my hand. He pokes his head out from the curtain to check no ones there before leading me out the confession box and to his office. He shuts the door and to my surprise spins me around till my back falls against it. He immediately resumes kissing me, letting out small breathless moans as our tongues explore each others mouths. His hands find their way from my hips, up my sides and to the buttons of my shirt. I place my hands over his, stopping him.
“Do you mind if we don’t, just yet.. I'm not- I'm not ready for that” I stutter “I'm sorry”
He plants a kiss on my forehead before leaning his forehead against mine.
“We don’t have to do anything until you're ready” he whispers and smiles a genuine, loving smile which I return.
“Can we just cuddle for a bit?” I ask shyly
“Of course”
He leads me over to the two seater sofa and sits down, gently pulling me down with him and wrapping himself around me.
Laying on the Priest’s small sofa, my head on his chest and his arms around me, I feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven. We stay like that for at least ten minutes, silently enjoying the blissful feeling of each others company.
I tilt my head to look up at him and find him watching me.
“What?” I giggle, feeling slightly self conscious under his gaze.
“Nothing, just- thinking”
“About what?”
“It doesn’t matter”
He smiles at me and places a kiss on my forehead. He brings his hand up to stroke the side of my face, his thumb gently glides over my burns and his face changes. There’s a hint of sadness in his eyes.
“He did this to you, didn’t he?”
I nod, biting my lip slightly.
“Because you were with me?”
“No” I reply quickly, not wanting him to think this was his fault “lt was my fault, I called him pathetic”
“That’s no excuse to hurt you!”
“It’s always been a trigger word for Daniel.” I explain and he looks at me confused. I remove myself from under his arms and sit up to face him “His father always used to call him that. He wasn’t a very nice man, he was an alcoholic with anger issues. He used to beat Daniel’s mother in front of him and tell him it was his fault. And if he cried, like any child would, he told him he was pathetic.”
“That’s awful”
“When Daniel’s mother died, his dad changed. Started going to church and completely turned his life around. He was like a new man. But Daniel never forgave him. Even after he died, he just couldn’t. And I don't blame him, I can’t imagine the things he must have seen. At the funeral all these people from the church kept telling Daniel that his father was up in heaven watching over him, and he hated it. The idea that this man who did such horrendous things was allowed be in heaven, it made him so angry. That’s why he’s got such an issue with you. It’s not really about you personally, it’s what you stand for. Just religion in general.”
“Then why get married in a church?”
“My fault again. I had to beg and beg him to let me have the wedding here. My parents aren’t around anymore either but I have such fond memories of being here with them that I thought if we had the wedding here it would feel like they were with me. I know must sound silly-”
“Not at all, it’s a lovely thought. I bet they’d be so proud of you.”
“I hope so”
The sound of the phone ringing pulls us out of our conversation. The Priest goes to his desk and picks up the phone.
“Hello?” He answers with a cheery voice.
Suddenly the smiles disappears from his face and he looks at me with wide eyes.
“Oh hi Daniel”
My heart stops. I feel like I could throw up. What the hell is Daniel doing calling the Priest? Does he know I’m here? Does he know what we’ve done?
“Slow down, say that again”
I watch intently as the Priest listens to Daniel on the other end, trying to figure out from his facial expressions what they’re talking about.
“No I haven’t seen her” he lies “Why? What’s happened?”
He must be asking about me. I take my phone from my pocket and power it on. I had turned it off in the hospital and completely forgot to turn it back on again. Multiple messages and endless missed calls from Daniel.
“Don't worry, I’m sure she’s fine. If I see her I’ll let her know you're looking for her okay? Okay bye Daniel” he puts the phone down and looks up at me again “he sounds like he’s really panicking about you”
“Good!”
“You need to go home” the Priest says, walking over to me
“I don't want to”
“I know. But you're gonna have to face him sooner or later” he puts his hands on my shoulders and I look up into his eyes before letting out a sigh.
“You're right. I should go. Thank you, for everything” I smile at him giving him a quick kiss before heading to the door.
“Y/N?” He calls after me and I turn back to look at him “none of it is your fault”
— — — —
The moment I step through the front door Daniel comes running, full of apologies.
“Oh my God, Y/N. I’m sorry. Are you okay? Please forgive me. I love you so much. What did the hospital say?”
“It will heal eventually. They gave me some cream for the pain.”
“I am so sorry! I’m gonna change-”
“I’ve heard it all before” I snap
“I know, I know- but I mean it. Here, let me take your shoes off for you”
“I don't need your help” I say, kicking my shoes off
“Let me take care of you! Go to bed and I’ll come up in a minute. Please, I want to make it up to you”
I stare him out for a moment before giving in and doing as he says. I get into some fresh pyjamas and climb into bed. A few minutes later I hear him coming upstairs.
“I made you a fresh coffee, since you didn’t get to drink yours this morning”
He puts the coffee on the bedside table and sits on the edge of the bed next to me. He takes the cream from the table and squeezes some onto his fingers. He reaches towards me and I instinctively flinch away from his touch.
“Please, let me do this” he says quietly and I give him a small nod.
I can’t help but let out a small whimper of pain as he touches my skin.
“Sorry!”
I can't even look at him. I can hear from his voice he’s trying not to cry and the last thing I want to feel right now is pity for him.
Once he’s finished applying the cream he wipes his hands on a tissue and climbs into bed next to me. He cautiously reaches over to put his arm around me, and because I don't have to the energy to argue I allow him to pull me in to cuddle up to him.
He takes the remote from his bedside table drawer and turns the tv on.
“What do you want to watch?”
“We need to talk” I say and he turns the tv off again, releasing me from his arm and sitting up to look at me. He looks terrified.
“Okay?”
“Look I’ve been thinking-”
“Please” he interrupts, grabbing my hands and begging “don't break up with me!”
“Daniel” I sigh
“I’ve been panicking all day thinking that you’d left me. If you hadn’t come home, I don't know what I would have done… I can’t live without you by my side.”
“Stop! I’m not breaking up with you… I just think we need time to work things out”
“What do you mean?” He looks concerned.
“We should postpone the wedding”
“No! No we don't need to do that. What happened today will never happen again. I promise.” He says and I smirk slightly at hearing yet another empty promise. He notices. “I mean it. Y/N, I have waited over half my life to marry you. I don't wait any longer. I want to call you my wife and show everyone how much I love you!”
I watch as he squeezes my hand tightly in his own, almost as if he’s scared I’ll suddenly slip away and he’ll lose me. His eyes search mine and I can see the desperate panic he feels. I let out a sigh.
“Okay, we’ll keep the set date.” I finally say and I see the relief flood through Daniel “but I don't think we should get married in the church”
“I thought that’s what you wanted”
“I do- I did. But you clearly don't want to and that’s okay. We’ll find somewhere that makes us both happy.”
“No, I don't want my issues to be the reason you don't get your dream wedding. We’re getting married in the church, and I’m going to make things right with the priest. I promise. When’s the next meeting?”
“Oh, you really don't have to-“
“I want to! It’s the final one before the big day right?” He asks and I nod “then I should definitely go! When is it?”
“Tomorrow afternoon.”
“I’ll be there.”
— — — —
After another night of dreaming of the Priest, I was awakened by Daniel bringing me breakfast in bed.
“This looks lovely, thank you” I say as he places the tray over my lap and gives me a kiss on the forehead. A memory flashes in my head of the priest pressing his lips to that same spot yesterday.
“You're most welcome m’lady” he says in his poshest voice and bows like a butler, making an involuntary giggle escape my mouth “listen I’ve got to pop out but I’ll meet you at the church this afternoon”
“Okay” I nod, highly doubting he’s actually going to turn up.
“I love you!” He kisses me again before leaving.
Hearing him say he loves me sends a sudden pang of guilt through me. He loves me. And despite everything I do still love him. So why can’t I stop thinking about the priest? When I’m around him I feel more content than I’ve felt in years. I know I haven't known him for very long but I feel so strongly for him, its insane.
How can I love two guys at once?
I let out a sigh and shake the thoughts out of my head.
Once I finish my breakfast I get out of bed, have a shower and get ready for the day. I find myself counting down the hours till I get to see the priest again and as I finally make my way to the church the excited butterflies in my stomach are fluttering so hard I swear they’re going to burst out of me and fly right to him. I turn the corner and smile as I see him standing outside the front door chatting to someone. Our eyes meet and he smiles back at me, sending my heart soaring. That is until the man he’s chatting to turns around and I realise its Daniel. Then my heart feels like it stops all together. I know he said he was going to be here today I just didn’t believe he would actually show up. I’m almost disappointed he’s crashed my alone time with the priest.
I snap out of it and remind myself I’m supposed to be happy, plastering an over the fake smile on my face as I greet my fiancé.
“You're here!” I say, unable to hide the surprise in my voice.
“I said I would be didn’t I? I have something for you, wait here” Daniel says before rushing off toward the carpark. I take my chance to talk to the priest.
“I can’t believe he actually came”
“He also apologised to me”
“He did what?”
“I know, it’s a miracle!” The priest says sarcastically.
“Doubt it. I’m sure he’ll be back to his usual self as soon as something gets him angry. I dread to think what he’d do if he ever found out that we...”
“Yeah about that. We both had too much to drink and I think we both said and did things we shouldn’t have. Maybe it’s best if we just... pretend that didn’t happen?”
My heart sinks as I realise what he’s saying. He regrets kissing me. But he told me he loved me! What if that just the alcohol talking? I realise he’s waiting for a response.
“Of course, yeah you’re right! We were both drunk and I’d had a really bad day. Neither of us were in our right minds. It never happened”
The priest doesn’t respond, just looks past me to something behind me. I turn around to follow his gaze and see the biggest flower bouquet I’ve ever seen walking towards me with Daniel’s legs.
“Oh my God” I gasp
“I wanted to get you something as beautiful as you are, but nothing came close. This was the best I could do”
“Thank you” I say quietly, blushing slightly “this must have cost a fortune!”
“You're worth every penny” he replies and I can’t help but smile as he leans in and kisses me. This is the Daniel I fell for all those years ago, not the man he’s become lately. Could he really have changed back?
“Oh isn’t that lovely” the Priest says, there’s a hint of sarcasm in his voice but it’s so subtle that thankfully Daniel doesn’t catch it “shall we head inside”
— — — —
The meeting is nothing like I expected it to be. Daniel, being true to his word, was over the top friendly with the Priest. Every question asked, he would answer straight away. He was cracking jokes, telling stories about things we’ve done together and the places we’ve been. I couldn’t get a word in even if I wanted to. Although the Priest was smiling along, I could tell he couldn’t wait for this meeting to be over. He almost looks relieved when Pam knocks on the office door.
“So sorry to interrupt Father, the Parish council are on the phone. Something about tomorrow’s fundraiser.. shall I tell them to call back later?”
“No no” he says quickly, jumping up from his chair “it’s okay, we’re pretty much done here anyway.” He turns back to look at us “sorry for the abrupt ending but…”
“Of course, we understand” Daniel responds getting up from his chair, and I do the same.
“Pam will show you out” the Priest holds the door open for us and Daniel walks out behind Pam. I follow but stop at the door, face to face with the priest.
“Are you okay?” I ask quietly and he nods, not able to look me in the eye.
“Why wouldn’t I be?” He responds. I study him for a moment before he speaks again “better not keep those parish councillors waiting” I catch his hint and leave the room, taking one last look back at the Priest as he shuts the door before I run to catch up with Daniel and Pam.
“Will we be seeing you at the fundraiser garden party tomorrow?” Pam asks as I join them at the door.
“I’m working” Daniel answers “but Y/N could”
“I’d love to but I’ve got my hen party tomorrow-” I excuse
“Yeah but that’s in the evening. You’re free all day right?” Dan argues
“uh… yeah I guess I am” I agree, reluctantly
“Great! The more the merrier” Pam smiles “make sure you bring plenty of cash”
“Will do. See you tomorrow” I say, giving her a small wave as Daniel and I head to the car.
Daniel chats constantly on the drive home but I don't listen to a word. Instead my thoughts are consumed by the priest and his dismissive attitude towards me. How in the space of 24 hours can he have gone from telling me he loves me, to now not being able to look at me?
Was it because Daniel was there? Did I do or say something wrong?
I guess I”ll have to wait till the fundraiser tomorrow to find out.

-”First Love?” “No My Only Love”- Draco Malfoy x Female Reader
Kody: Got some angst for y'all because i’m a evil person, but hey it has a sweet ending so why not. Also i refuse to say that Draco looks like what he does in the 19 year timeskip. Just imagine Tom Felton please lmao.
Summary: Draco and Y/n were lovers in school and he was forced to break up with her because his family arranged a marriage with the Greengrass family and after the war he never saw her again until he takes a trip to Scorpius’s school.
Warning: Will make you sniffle just saying. It’s angst as hell my guy.
House: Slytherin, but your not in school anymore.
♡~🐍~♡
“Father we are going to be late!” Yelled a very excited Scorpius. Draco laughed quietly to himself as he adjusted his tie in the mirror. He took one last look at himself before stepping out, shutting the bathroom door.
“Alright Scorpius the car is outside let's go” he called out and saw his son slide out of his room with a giddy expression.
“You seem very excited” Draco looked down at the 12-year-old boy who nodded.
“I am, I get to see Albus and Rose,” he says as both Malfoys walked out of the manor. Heading into the car, Draco opened the door for Scorpius to climb in before getting in himself. He closes the door and told the driver to head to Hogwarts.
You might be wondering where the Malfoys are off to this evening. Well, it was professor, parent day. Where Parents can come back to their old school and meet the professors that teach their kids. It’s usually a great experience for the children. Draco was a bit nervous to go back to a school that he helped destroy in the past, not that he wanted to. Hogwarts was always his second home, but that wasn’t the only reason it would hurt to go back.
♡~🐍~♡
As the car stopped, Scorpius flew out the car and ran towards a group of kids. He hugged both Rose and Albus who were equally excited to see him. Draco stepped out and shut the door. He saw Harry, Ginny, Hermione, and Ron standing near the kids. He walks over to them and smiles warmly “Hello”
“Hey Draco, surprised you came. We know how hard it is for you to be here” Hermione gives him a sympathetic smile. Everyone forgave him for his past mistakes and eventually became friends with the used to be ‘Golden Trio’
“Scorpius really wanted to come and i couldn’t say no to him, trust me i’ve tried” Draco grins lightly, snickering at the thought. The rest of them laughed as well before looking over at there kids. Draco gazed around until his eyes landed on a bench, his mind sending him into a memory.
♡~🐍~♡
“Draco i swear to merlin, stop!” Y/n laughed as her boyfriend tickled her sides.
“Aw, but your laughing, love. Seems like you enjoy it!” he smirks as he continued to grab at her sides. She was able to break free from his hold and run away, but Draco was faster and scooped her up. He walked over to a bench and placed and sat down with her in his lap.
A pout came across her face “You suck” she whined making Draco laugh at her child like behaviour.
“I love you too” He replied making Y/n smile before he leans into place a loving kiss to her lips.
♡~🐍~♡
“Father?” Draco was brought back to reality and looked at his son who was tugging at his sleeve. He pointed towards the doors and the people walking in “We can go inside now”
Draco takes a second to recollect himself before smiling and heading inside with his son, he was surprised to see that everything was relatively the same. It gave him a feeling of nostalgia, but also a feeling of hurt. He’d walk these halls a million times with her.
♡~🐍~♡
Walking hand and hand Draco felt a warm feeling in his chest. Happiness. He had a stupid grin on his face, which Y/n had noticed “Why are you smiling so much?” she asked with a small laugh.
Draco turned his head to face her “Because the most beautiful girl in the world is holding my hand of course” his reply made her smile and shake her head.
“Your a dork, Draco”
♡~🐍~♡
Shaking his head Draco let out a deep sigh. This was way more difficult then he imagined. He tried his best to keep his composure for Scorpius. As they walked Scorpius turned to the trophy case “Hey father, look it’s your name!” he exclaimed.
Draco smiles and looks over “Draco Malfoy, Seeker” he read the plaque out loud. He really did love Quidditch, flying high on a broom where no one can bother you was the best feeling ever.
“Y/n L/n, Chaser!” Scorpius read with an excited tone. Draco felt his heart squeeze. Just hearing her name was almost to much. Scorpius turned to his father “Were you two friends?” he asked. Draco opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out.
“Scorpius, how ‘bout you and Albus go see where Rose is?” HArry spoke from behind them. Scorpius nods quickly and runs off in the other direction. Draco felt his pulse die down.
Draco turned towards Harry and nods “Thank you” he said. Harry nods and gives him a warm smile. Placing his hand on his shoulder.
“It’s just hard to hear her name i guess” Draco chokes out before pushing past Harry to go find Scorpius.
♡~🐍~♡
The next place they visited was the portrait to the Slytherin common room, which was now snape. He smiled as he approached it “Ah Mr. Malfoy and tiny Malfoy. This is a treat indeed” he says sarcastically. Draco rolls his eyes and chuckles.
“It’s nice to see you too Professor” Draco smiles. Snape cracked a half smile at Draco. It was weird to see him in a portrait. He looked up to snape for protecting him when he was a kid, it was hard to swallow that he was really gone.
“I remember you running in and out of this common room with that little girlfriend of yours, she was a lovely girl” Snape sighs. Draco felt his mind drag him into another memory, the worst one by far
♡~🐍~♡
Draco was sitting on the sofa in the common room, waiting for his girlfriend to show up. Nerves nipped at his skin as he waited “Draco?” he looked up from his hands to see her standing there, she looked worried once she saw his frown “What’s wrong?”
He gestured for her to sit down on the sofa with him and she complied. He looked at her and smiled lightly, he wanted to remember her like this for a second “My family has arranged for me to be married, to Astoria Greengrass.” he watched as Y/n’s face fell. A feeling of sadness taking over her.
Y/n tried to hide her aching heart with a smile “We knew this would happen eventually, i just didn’t want it to be now, while this war thing is going on around us” she sighed and grabbed his hand “As much as i would like to keep you with me, i know how much your family means to you. I’d do anything for you Draco Malfoy, even if it means leaving you”
A lump formed in Draco’s throat as tears threatened to spill from his grey eyes. “I wish it could be different my love. I really do, but at least i still get to see your face for the rest of the year” he says. Y/n’s smile faded and she looked away “Love? What’s wrong?” he asked, grabbing her chin to make her look at him.
“My family is leaving, with the war going on they don’t think it’s safe here. I’m moving Draco. To America” A tear fell from her face as Draco let go of her. He could feel his heart tugging against his ribcage.
“So this is goodbye then? Forever?” He choked out his words. All Y/n did was nod slowly. He broke down right then and there. All the tears he held in were coming out like a waterfall “I’m really losing you” he said in disbelief.
“Your not losing me Draco, were just being seperated. I will always love you and cherish our time together. The cards are just stacked against us, darling” Y/n grabbed his hand and put it over her heart. He looked at her through his tears “If by some miracle we ever meet again. No matter what, i’ll come running in your arms”
“Promise?” He asked and she nodded. He pressed a sloppy kiss on her lips as more tears ran down there faces. That was the last time he saw Y/n.
♡~🐍~♡
“Wasn’t she your first love?” Snape asked. \
Draco inhaled sharply and turns to see Scorpius walking away with Albus and Rose. He faces the portrait again and shakes his head “No, my only love” he said simply and headed down the stairs. He felt the familiar lump form in his throat just like the last night he saw her.
“Father! I want you to meet my defense against dark arts professor, she’s amazing!” Scorpius shouts. Draco tries to choke back his sadness and smiles at him.
“Sure let’s go”
♡~🐍~♡
Scorpius led the way for his father and pointed to a door in the distance. He was about to read a name on the plaque when the door opened. He saw a shocked Hermione and Harry, they looked like they had seen a ghost “What’s wrong?” Draco asked. Hermione just looked at him and smiled before walking away.
Draco was now even more confused and looked at Harry, who just patted his back “Good luck buddy” he says. Draco opens his mouth to speak, but was stopped by Scorpius, who was pushing him towards the door.
“Love you father! Thank me later!” Scorpius laughs and shuts the door. Draco blinked a couple times as he looked at the now shut door.
“Hello darling” A voice came from behind him, making his whole body lock up. No. It couldn’t be. This was another memory playing in his head right? He was too scared to turn around. He just stood there, frozen. “Draco? Can you turn around?” she laughed.
Draco’s body moved on it’s own and he turned around. He was faced with a sight he never thought he’d see again. Y/n. She didn’t change one bit. Still had her bright E/C eyes and H/L H/C hair. His throat felt dry and he couldn’t speak “I’m supposed to run into your arms, but i’m afraid i might tackle you to the ground.” she said nervously. He waited years for this moment and so did she.
“Can i?” she asked, a little unsure. Draco just nodded slowly. Y/n walked from behind the desk and rushed into his arms, wrapping hers around his neck. Draco caved and hugged her tight against him, tears breaking free from his cold eyes.
“Is it really you or a cruel nightmare?” he asked as he pulled away to look at her face, she gave him a bright smile and cupped his face. He leaned into her hands, sighing deeply.
“Of course it’s me you dork” Y/n laughs softly and smiles at him. He leans into her, slamming his mouth onto her’s. Not caring about anything else other than the woman in his arms at the moment. She responds quickly and smiles into there passionate exchange.
♡~🐍~♡
-1 year later-
“So let me get this straight. Y/n becomes a professor and you three found out we used to date in school from snape and your first thought is to set us up again” Draco looked at Albus, Scorpius, and Rose who look at each other before nodding.
“Yeah pretty much”
“It was kind of easy”
“It was super romantic!”
Draco turns to face Y/n “And you” he started, making her laugh slightly “You went along with this, why didn’t you just come to the manor?” he asked.
“Well what fun is that?” Y/n chuckles, making Draco roll his eyes. He wraps an arm around her shoulders and she leans into him. “aw you know you love me”
“Yeah i do, both of you” Draco smiles as he tugs Scorpius into the hug as well. For the first time in a long time, he felt whole again.

Jinxed At First Review
This was a ride... So prepare for the spoilers...
Seul Bi was kept in a house with her mom for 20 years because they can tell the futures of other people, and how to make them successful.
But one day Seul Bi gets out into the real world and meets Soo Kwang who helps her to see more of the world.
This drama started out a bit iffy, especially when an adult woman seemed more like a child.
But I think we can brush it off a little bit by reminding ourselves that she was never let out of the house for her whole life.
She also reminded me of Rapunzel from Tangled or Giselle from Enchanted.
As you get comfortable with what is happening in the drama it seems quite fun, there is market where they work at.
Seul Bi slowly helps Soo Jwang and others and it's like a found family and Soo Kwang starts to warm up to her.
However after 6 episodes everything changes, to wrong direction... (I wish I knew that the show won't go back to what it was)
It became darker and more focused on Seul Bi's magic. The family that had her wants to take her away again.
And eventually she does come back and changes 180°, she's way colder, always upset and listen to everything that second male lead says.
So let's go to the fist annoying part - second male lead.
He was OBSESSED with Seul Bi for... I don't really know what...
At first he seems nice and wants to be different from his father but a few episodes later becomes literally like his father who wants to keep them for himself.
Not only that... Apparentally they're brother and sister... And he got to know it the last... Even though everyone knew he has fellings for his (half) sister...
They wouldn't even have told him that if he didn't hear it by an accident...
I know that after that he quickly backed off but it didn't make it any better because he already tried to force himself on her (for a kiss).
Plus he fell in love with the person he had arrange marriage very quickly... Like he never really liked anyone else before... Why even make the love triangle.
Second reason: was the chairman of the company.
He locked two people in the house, never let them leave BUT in the end we have to forgive him.
Everyone else forgave him even Seul Bi's mother and they had their own little romance.
He was also shown very pathetically because the curse was effecting him at that point and everyone wanted to save him.
Not only we had to forgive Seul Bi's real father, the chairman, but also the fake one.
I get that he was hypnotised and all that shit which is soo messed up, if we let one second to think about it.
BUT he also tried to sell his daughter... A few times...
Seul Bi is a saint tho, she forgives everyone, so we never really get any confrontation more than 'I'll let you do that so they can give you freedom'
For the third reason the whole plot is just a big mess and I should've known that when I heard makjang (at least that's what it sounded like) music playing as the credits rolled.
The acting wasn't that great either, I was disappointed in Na In Woo because he didn't seem that bad in other dramas if I remember right, so maybe it was the writer's fault?
The only good thing was probably the people from the market but they also were annoying sometimes
Overall, this drama started out nicely but it was getting out of hand and it never came back.
I would not recommend watching it, and if you dropped it you're lucky, don't look back, there's Extraordinary Attorney Woo or other great dramas.

Nguyen Sisters (Triplets)
(Alright, this is more of a backstory for characters in my story: Inheritance!
1. Tien Nguyen (The Oldest) - Chi Pu
2. Bian Nguyen (The Middle Child) - Dianne Doan
3. Yen Nguyen (Youngest) - Lana Condor
And the late: Kara Nguyen (Mother)
Van Nguyen (Older brother/sibling)
Bian, Tien, and Yen Nguyen make of a set of triplet sisters to the late Van Nguyen and daughters to the late Kara Nguyen.
Upon their deaths by Hayley Marshall-Kenner (orchestrated by Davina Claire) and Kol Mikaelson, they were taken in by other witches of the Ninth Ward Coven at the age of 6.
As the daughters of an Elder and sisters to a Regent, they are powerful together as they are apart. They share an equal disdain for Mikaelsons and Hayley Mashall for the deaths of their loved ones, leaving the three to only have each other.
Yen was a dance student at a community center where she met Harmony, who was only going by her first name then. The two quickly hit it off and became fast friends. It wasn't until later when Harmony had visited the Ninth Ward where she experienced the massacre her mother created. Her screams had everyone running towards her, including Yen & her sisters (whose first meeting prompted the visit in the first place). It was Tien whose eyes narrowed in fury when she recognized her mother's killer in Harmony and wanted to give her an "aneurysm she'd never forget" when Yen stopped her.
By the time Harmony recovered, Hayley and Vincent had come running to the Ninth Ward once immediate word got to them that Harmony is there. And knowing how her daughter's Sight worked, she knew the inevitable happened.
Finding Harmony on the ground with what could only be copies of Kara Nguyen, deducing they were her daughters and threats to her little girl, Hayley was quick to remove Harmony from the ward while Vincent attempted to defuse the situation (and prevent any more bloodshed). Tien was furious and wanted Harmony's head while Yen tried to calm her down, only to be scolded for consorting with the enemy. Vincent tried to explain that Harmony's an innocent to what went down on the October 19th Massacre.
It would later be revealed that Tien was there and watched Hayley kill Kara, igniting a fierce hatred for the hybrid.
Sometime later, Harmony came back to the Ninth Ward to speak to the entire coven, but mainly the triplets. She brokered a deal: Since they can't touch Hayley for the sake of peace between the Factions nor Kol & Davina for the deaths they caused, she'd take their place. A daughter for a mother. A loved one for a loved one. Any surviving family members of the 12 witches who wish to take vengeance on the three culprits through her are welcomed to do so in three days at the Lafayette Cemetery. Harmony would be bound to a boundary spell and wear the Cursed Shackles to make herself powerless. In return, those who choose to enact vengeance upon her shall go unpunished. As a show of goodwill, Harmony would go as far as to make a legally binding contract & deal with the Ancestors that barred the faction from intervening and use the blood of her mother and family members in a spell to prevent them from coming after them.
While the Ninth Ward agreed to the terms, it wasn't long until word got back to the Faction leaders and tried to stop it. Even Vincent couldn't because the spell Harmony used to protect those involved the Ancestors, meaning they not only agree with the terms but forbid Vincent from interfering. Hope even tried to take her place, but Harmony said that if one thing changed, everything else would and then no one would be happy.
That night, it would appear that only the Nguyen Sisters would be a part of the "trial". Yen was the only one vocally opposed to this, Tien wanted to do this, yet Bian kept a neutral expression.
Harmony spent HOURS being tortured by them but made no moves to escape, which frustrated Tien greatly. All she did do, however, was goad them to do more, to do their worst. Eventually, Hayley and Vincent managed to get into the cemetery and find them, however, much to the surprise of everyone, it was Bian who ended Harmony's suffering and broke the boundary circle before telekinetically taking off the shackles. Hayley grabbed her half-dead-looking daughter before vamp speeding out of there.
Vincent went off on them, but it was Tien who was furious at Bian until it was revealed that she'd been talking to Van in the Well.
He may not have liked dying and how he died, but Van made peace with it on his own terms. When Harmony had contacted the Ancestors for their help, he didn't agree with the torture session. One of the few things he's agreed with others (Marcel included) was that children are innocent. Harmony taking on the pain and anger of the actions of 3 was not fair. The girls were 6 years old. Harmony wasn't even 2 yet. Regardless of Kol, Davina, and Hayley's actions, he couldn't condone this and begged Bian to end it if it went too far.
(And considering it went in for hours...that says something about how Harmony was handling it!)
Hearing this from Bian, and then from Van himself, Tien lashed out and walked away back home with her.
Yen, completely remorseful, created a care package of herbs and tea from her coven and left it for Harmony, only for Hayley to retrieve it. Despite the glare from the hybrid, Yen assured this would help Harmony, whom it was revealed to had been unconscious for three days, and even said Vincent could back up her claims if she asked him. And she wanted Hayley to tell Harmony that she was sorry, only to get the reply to "tell her yourself".
Eventually, thanks to the verified care package, Harmony did recover. And it wasn't long until she was filled in on the tense situation with the Ninth Ward and sought out Tien, whom she let punch her in the face after calling her current disposition "sad and pathetic". It was revealed that Tien hated that Harmony wasn't fighting back and the more she tortured her, the more ashamed she felt (like kicking a puppy while it's down) which led to ger continuing it even with Harmony's goading, which pissed her off more. Harmony asked what pissed her off most: Her lack of self-defense or acceptance of the situation. It was both.
Considering how Harmony is Hayley's clone in appearance and attitude, Tien was full-on prepared to feel victorious at the idea of torturing the monster that turned her life upside down. She expected Harmony to be just like Hayley, cruel and merciless ...and what she got was the shame when Harmony was selfless and accepting. Her family made her and her sisters orphans and Harmony took responsibility and apologized for it. It distraught her and she couldn't take it. Harmony takes this time to reveal that part of the reason she held in through the torture was that it wasn't the first time she was tortured for her family's crimes and she wasn't the only one whose life flipped at 6 years old. She precedes to tell her of the Kidnapping Incident, how she was the reincarnation of a girl her father killed through ill-worded compulsion, and how it awakened her Seer Sight. She recants how it left her unable to accept the Mikaelsons ("a few years of good deeds doesn't erase a millennia worth of cruelty") and how she's bound to experience the loss they suffered on a personal level. Kara is just a sign that she'll lose Hayley ("The universe isn't that kind to let me keep my mom after she took yours.") This completely changed Tien's opinion of Harmony. The tribrid was only 4 years younger than her and had to deal with the weight of family name carries, as well as the pain they wreaked. Tien at least knows she can trust her family, meanwhile, the girl before her might never be able to trust hers aside from her mother and sister. Harmony then reveals how her mother smelled more than Yen's hand on the care package, revealing she knew Tien had a hand in it as well. So the kindred girls form a friendship and a truce, which they present before the Faction leaders and covens. Harmony is still going to keep that protection spell over the sisters (so someone doesn't get any ideas) and that they were even. Hayley takes this as a belated chance to apologize to the sisters, which is a given to be not easily accepted. At best, Harmony is a friend of theirs, therefore she's safe. But just because Hayley's her mother doesn't mean she's forgiven. Tien makes a point to say Hayley will have her day in death, but for now, she just has to keep their friend safe.
From that moment on, the sisters had a great and relatable relationship with Harmony. Yen was happy to have her friend and dance partner back, Tien became very protective of her, and Bian...Bian and Harmony had an interesting connection since they both held secrets that could change everything. She was their unofficial little sister whenever she came home from boarding school and was happy to hear about Salvatore (for the most part. They had their opinions of Harmony's choice friends having bad reputations and the Saltzmanns). Harmony considers them honorary members of the Midnight Falls Coven (the coven she made with Penelope Park and Alyssa Chang).
The sisters are 18 and in their final year in high school when shit hits the fan in February 2026. In hindsight, if you asked Bian of all sisters, she'd tell you that something has changed within the Factions and Hayley's disappearance would cause all hell to break loose if Harmony doesn't cause it. Bian would also say Hope was involved. The triplets may be closer to Harmony, but it wasn't for the lack of trying to get along with older the Mikaelson twin. Hope never quite forgave them for torturing her little sister and the fact she's more inclined to the Mikaelsons didn't help. So once word got out of Hope's tomfoolery with creating a hybrid (in contrast to her sister's opposition with creating them), Bian could have easily seen Hope's involvement with the return of Klaus Mikaelson a mile away. But once word got out that Hayley Marshall Kenner, the mother of their friend, their mother's murderer, and almighty Crescent Alpha, was turned into a vampire and killed? The sisters didn't hesitate to contact Harmony and to go to her. Tien had a few choice words she wanted to say to Hope Mikaelson and the fact the very thing Harmony warned her would happen to Hayley came true, and it wasn't even with fair circumstances (but when was fair ever a given?) was enough to boil her insides as she knew Harmony wouldn't take it well. Which was a proven point with her barricading her mother's room and stealing her clothes, her necklace, and blaming everything on Hope to the point of no end in sight, and antagonizing the Mikaelsons. She went full-throttle mean girl and even Bian felt that this wasn't something that would go away soon. Tien couldn't even snap her out of it, which ended up with Harmony pushing them away.
By the time Harmony split the Hollow with Hope, the sisters were surprised she was apologizing. Hayley's death messed her up on the same level Kara did, maybe even more. She explained to them the matter of everything that happened when Hayley died (Hope's ridiculous need for Klaus resulting in Hayley's death and Nightwalkers, another product of her father's stupidity) before telling them to get out of town before the Nightwalkers did more damage and came for them (a bullet they'd find they missed). Yen asks if she's okay, which Harmony responds with "I'm angry. I'm pissed. I'm tired. And I'm ready to legally change my surname." Harmony tells them to visit the Ancestral Well one more time to see Kara and Van, forwarning them that it might be their last. By the time they return to New Orleans, the Well is destroyed (meaning Kara and Van can find Peace), the Nightwalkers are gone (thanks to two pissed off Mikaelson twins and a LOT of dark magic), and the clincher: Now those Mikaelson twins have activated their werewolf curse. Yen is terrified for Harmony, Tien is angry (at Klaus more), and Bian isn't surprised (one of the few conversations she and Hayley had was that Harmony would be pissed off when she triggered hers). What is troublesome is the pipe shots she's shooting at everyone. Tien manages to snap her out of it and tells her that Hayley wouldn't want her like this...which works until Harmony comes back from Limbo and reaffirms changing her surname again.
Eventually, the sisters are at a loss when they hear of Klaus Mikaelson's willingness to die to keep the Hollow from the girls. Surprisingly, it's Yen who's not impressed since right with Marcel, his prime existence has caused issues and the fact this is what ends him and not a glorious death? At least with it, Harmony won't freak out about the death-inducing visions just being in the same room causes her. Ironically, Tien feels bad because Harmony is capable of loving him and knows it's because of Lorraine and the others that Klaus might not even get her love then. She never had a father figure except for Van, and while it kills her not to tell her to talk to him, she's well aware Harmony and Klaus will literally need another lifetime to sort their issues. Bian is neutral but pities the Mikaelsons. All things must die and 1000-year-old vampires are no exception. She can respect that he's doing at least one good thing which Harmony can remember him for, which can help in the long run now that the Mikaelson twins will never be the same.
Then, to their shock and ire, the eve of his death is when they are visited by Kol and Davina Mikaelson. Hayley left a letter for both of them regaling how Harmony was tortured for their poor choices and that if the youngest Mikaelson could apologize for their actions, the ones who did the deeds should too. Maybe it was because of Klaus's impending demise, or maybe it was because Harmony pulled a Davina and locked Kol in his vampire body, or maybe it was because he lost favor with his two nieces inadvertently causing this whole mess...or maybe it was all of the above because seeing Kol kneeling and apologizing to them was a sight they'd never forget. And while Davina had no love for Klaus, Hayley's letter was rather vicious in demanding that her dying wish to the witch was to apologize to the sisters as well as the couple giving them enough money to live off of for the rest of their days. Like Hayley's apology, it doesn't even come close to answering for what they took from them. But because it was Hayley asking (demanding) and Harmony paying for it, it was something.
The drama would have ended after Klaus's death until there's a big commotion from Harmony's home. They didn't hear until later that Freya tried to kill Harmony and now their regent, Vincent, and a witch named Bonnie Bennett from Virginia, are sharing joint custody of Harmony with the Mikaelsons getting very limited visitation rights and paying for her boarding school tuition as a result.
For the first time, Bian smiled. This would definitely benefit the twins while Yen and Tien feel the headache coming on now. They wish Harmony Eve the best because college sounds like a vacation right about now.

can I request one with rafe where he struggles with being sober, and he’s v emotional and reader takes care of him
I DON’T KNOW HOW I FEEL WHEN I’M WITH YOU
pairing: Rafe Cameron x Ex-Girlfriend!Reader
summary: Dating Rafe Cameron was a roller coaster and eventually, you’ve had enough of it. Now, six months later, he shows up at your door and you’re the only one he can help him.
word count: 3.5k
warnings: drug abuse, mild cursing, mention of an overdose, suicidal thoughts
additional: heavy angst with a happy ending
thank you for requesting this! it was a challenge to write, and included a bit of a backstory. that being said, i do not condone toxic relationships, but i do believe in second chances, and that people can get better. take that as you will.
requests are open
Rafe Cameron is only trouble; that’s the thing everyone around you kept saying from the moment you began seeing each other. He was the supposedly golden boy, but people who knew him from the parties he’d go to, knew that it was as far from truth as possible.
Rafe Cameron only cares about himself and the coke in his nose, is what not just one of your friends would tell you. They warned you about him – they warned he doesn’t stick with a girl for long, they warned you that at the end of the day, he’ll pick coke over his girl.
You didn’t believe them. You didn’t, not for a long time, and you didn’t even believe that he did coke in the first place.
How could he? you thought. He was from the good part of the island, from a well-standing, reputable family; he was the heir of the Cameron enterprise. His sister was just two years below you in school and she was as close to the princess of the island as it gets.
When Rafe Cameron, the very one you’d spent a long time hearing stories about, approached you at a party, he was sweet. He was chatty and considerate, and full of flirtatious touches but never crossing the line. You didn’t see a sign of the person everyone had been warning you about; Rafe Cameron was as much Kook royalty as Sarah Cameron was.
You gave him your number and he texted you the next morning. He put no pressure on you to say yes when he asked you out, and when you explained you needed to stay focused on school for the next month, he didn’t stop talking to you.
No; he waited, until the month was up, until you told him you could do anything you want, that’s when he took you out for the best day of your life.
Falling in love with him was easy. He was sweet, and understanding when you said you weren’t really a fan of parties, and he smothered you with so much love you thought it wasn’t possible.
Things were good, for a while. When school finished and you started spending more time with him, you started noticing how he’d get into these moods, where his reactions and words were harsh, with a dangerous edge to them, and how sometimes you’d flinch if he moved too quickly. Then he’d leave, come to your place hours later, apologising for everything, and you’d fall back into his arms immediately.
‘I love you,’ he’d say. ‘I’m sorry for whenever I get like this. It’s not me, I promise.’
And you would forgive him. Every single time, you forgave him.
It took you months to realise that you didn’t know anymore who Rafe was. The person you loved and the person that scared you were interchanging so fast that sometimes you’d be looking at him, wondering if he’ll yell about something, or whisper sweet nothings into your ear instead. He looked dishevelled all the time, as if he was missing something, and eventually, you stopped being enough.
You came to find him at a party. A friend of yours had texted you, saying that Rafe was behaving like a complete moron, and you came to get him away from that.
As soon as you pulled up, you saw him jumping around the terrace, tugging arms with some boy you hadn’t seen before. You walked closer and he looked bewildered – he didn’t see you even when he looked in your direction.
It’s not him, you told yourself. But then you wondered, Is this the Rafe I don’t get to see?
In the end, you marched right up to him and put yourself between him and the boy, and dragged him away from the party. ‘Get in the car,’ you told him, unable to even look at him.
‘You don’t need to baby me,’ he snapped back. ‘Why’d you even come here?’
‘Rafe, shut up and get in the car.’
‘Oh, fuck off! I’m not going to let you tell me what to do.’
At this, you were taken aback, but you held your own. The passenger door to your car was open and you were sitting in the driver’s side, looking out to where your boyfriend stood. He was fuming in place; pacing, almost. His hair was a mess, his shirt had been torn in one place, and he was breathing heavily.
This wasn’t the person you fell in love with. You looked at him, and saw nothing.
You turned the engine key. The car roared. ‘Rafe, if you don’t get in the car, I’m done with you.’
‘What, am I not allowed to have fun?’
‘You weren’t having fun. You were being an asshole and now you’re treating me like one, too,’ you told him. You waited for a bit, waiting to see if there was any reaction, but there wasn’t. ‘I’ve had enough of your antics. Get in the car and get your head straight and stop being a shithead, or go back there, and we’re through.’
Rafe snickers. He slams the passenger door close, then leans through the open window. His eyes are looking into yours, but there’s nothing behind them.
Certainly not the person you care about.
‘Nobody tells Rafe Cameron what to do.’
Instead of giving him a reply, you revved the engine and looked away. You didn’t look back as you drove away, and you didn’t reply to his texts when he’d come to his senses. The next morning, he tried catching you at your house, but you wouldn’t open the door.
He tried, for weeks, but you made it clear: you or drugs.
He’d made his choice. You were going to stick to yours.
After that, you move on with your life. It’s different; your friends treat you differently, as if they’re scared you’re going to fall apart, but you’re okay. Well, for the most part, anyway.
‘The Rafe I fell in love with hasn’t been around for a while,’ you tell them when they get worried. ‘I broke up with someone I hardly recognised.’
Occasionally, they’d tell you how they tried to warn you, and all you do is smile and agree – but you know it’s not that. Something changed for Rafe, and when you fell in love with him, he was just a boy with bad habits. Not someone who’s on the way of becoming a monster.
It’d be a lie to say you don’t miss him, but you understand you’re better off without someone who’d trade you for a line of coke.
Who did trade you for a line of coke.
Once it’s been six months since the party, you haven’t heard from him in a while. Your friends know better than to talk to you about him, so you haven’t heard about him, either.
That’s why you’re surprised when you open your door, not checking who it is, and the face you’re met with is his.
You slam the door shut – or you try to, at least. Rafe yelps when his hand gets caught between the door and the wall, and he pushes himself through.
‘Please,’ he says, ‘hear me out.’
‘Go away, Rafe.’
‘Y/N—I need you, I—I don’t have anywhere else to go. I don’t have anyone else.’
‘Rafe…’
‘Please,’ he begs, and your defences shatter.
You step to the side and open the door, letting him in. He tires to smile at you but it’s as if he can’t even bear to do that. He holds his hand, shaking it a little, and you see there’s a bright red line where he wedged it between the door and the wall.
Rafe stands at your door, shoulders hunched, and his usually slicked-back hair falling over his eyes. It’s unwashed and greasy, his skin is pale and blotchy and with a slight, unhealthily pink hue to it, and his cheekbones are more prominent than you remember. He looks skinnier; more worn out.
An awful thought pops into your mind, and it goes like this: Good thing I got away from this when I did.
You shudder and shake it away. ‘My parents aren’t home. Go to the living room, I’ll join you in a minute.’
He nods and lingers, on the verge of saying something, but then doesn’t. You watch him go to the living room and you go into your room, close the door, and take a big breath.
Can I do this?
You still love him. You thought you didn’t, but it has never gone away, you just pushed it away. You’ve always had hope that someday, he’d come back to you – and you can’t help but to wonder if this is the day you’ve been waiting for.
But then you come back to reality and remember that Rafe is an addict and you’re a dreamer.
The living room is quiet when you walk in. Rafe is sitting on the couch, fiddling with his fingers and looking out of the window – he doesn’t notice you come in.
‘This is the last time,’ you say. His head snaps towards you. ‘I’ll help you this time, whatever, but then I don’t want to see you again. I can’t keep doing this, Rafe. It’s not—it’s not good for me.’
He chose coke over you.
You chose yourself over hurting.
It wasn’t the same.
You expect Rafe to protest, to beg you for more chances, to try to get it his way, but all he does is nod. He nods and it’s soft, and earnest, and you can tell that this time, he’ll do what you want him to.
If you won’t talk to him again, he’ll respect that.
‘What happened, Rafe?’ you ask, your voice giving up on you as you take a seat next to him.
Rafe looks at you and his lip quivers; he’s on the verge of falling apart. The sun shines bright behind him, making him seem like a dark spot in your vision, and you hate how realistic that is. He gulps, loudly, and lets out a shaky breath. You see him holding himself together as much as he can, but not even that is enough, not anymore.
Your hands want to take hold of his, but instead you just clasp them together, biting your lip. You can’t let yourself feel.
One last time, you think, and Rafe tells you everything.
The sun falls as you learn, for the first time, how he started doing coke because his dad was overworking him. Ward expected him to do things that were unrealistic, to be a person Rafe just wasn’t, and coke helped him focus, helped him socialise with Ward’s friends he’d always been scared of, and without it, he wouldn’t have been able to do any of that.
He tells you that he understands that’s not an excuse, and that maybe he would’ve managed without drugs, but that was the only way he could see at the time. He was seventeen and weighted down by the newfound pressure on his shoulders, and he couldn’t bear it.
By the time he turned eighteen, by the time he graduated, he was beginning to rely on coke to survive. He tells you how sometimes it was just a party thing, how it helped him get money for what his dad was expecting him to do, until he started being impulsive and spending all the money he earned. It took over – he couldn’t function on coke, he couldn’t function without it, and life was running away from him.
His eyes leave yours and you see tears sliding down his cheek; you’ve never seen Rafe cry before.
Your hand reaches out to him before you can stop yourself, and you wipe the tear away with your thumb. You know you should move your hand, but you let it linger instead, and when Rafe finally looks at you, he places a hand on top of yours.
A shiver runs down your spine – this feels right and forbidden all at once.
But then Rafe shakes his head, and puts your hand in your lap, letting go. ‘I don’t want you to be hurting because of me anymore.’
Before you have the chance to say anything, he continues his story. He tells you how when he met you, things were still manageable, as much as a cocaine addiction can be. At that point, he was only using it to keep up with his father’s demands, but eventually it got worse.
He tells you he tried to keep you out of it. ‘You were my safe haven,’ he says, quietly. ‘When you were around, I tried to keep myself off of it, as much as I could.’
But he couldn’t. You know this from your experience – you think back to the days where he’d be irritable, annoyed, and nothing you did would make it better. Even then, you knew what was happening, but it was easier to pretend it wasn’t.
Rafe clears his throat. ‘I tried to keep you out of it. But it got too bad. I thought I could control it, but it’d taken control over me already, and I was needing it too badly to be able to see it.’
When he comes to the point in his story when you leave him, he glosses over what happens next, and that’s how you know it must’ve been worse than anything he’s previously said – and it kind of breaks your heart. You know it was the best decision you could’ve made, but knowing that it caused him so much pain still hurts.
He trails off, eventually. He keeps coughing so you get him a glass of water, taking the moment away from him to think.
Except you can’t think. The only thing you can do is feel, and whatever it is that you’re feeling, it’s weighing down your heart.
You come back into the kitchen and and hand him the water. He thanks you, and you notice how he’s much calmer than he used to be. His body doesn’t shake, he doesn’t fiddle as much as he used to, but his eyes look more tired than ever before.
He looks like a ghost of the Rafe you knew. You wonder what’s changed.
So you ask, ‘What happened then?’
Rafe puts the glass away and stares at you for a long second. ‘I OD’d. Topper saved my life, three weeks ago. I’ve been clean since, but—It’s a lot. It’s harder than I thought.’
The realisation settles in and you lean back into the couch, looking away from him. You run your fingers through your hair, trying to calm your breathing – all you can see is Rafe, unconscious on some random bathroom floor, Topper trying to wake him up—
‘Jesus Christ, Rafe.’
You stand up from the couch and began pacing around the living room. This – this is not what you were expecting.
‘I’m clean,’ Rafe reminds you. ‘But it’s – it’s been the worst three weeks of my life.’
There’s nothing you can say. Do you cry, do you yell? He broke your heart, he chose coke over you, is this what you were hoping for? Is this what you thought would happen?
You stare out of the window, your hand clasped over your mouth, and you let silent tears roll down your cheeks. Rafe can’t see them – he’s still sitting on the couch.
Fuck, you think. Fuck fuck fuck fuck.
‘I’m sorry,’ you hear Rafe say, his voice breaking. ‘I shouldn’t have come here, I—’
Before he can leave or say anything else, you turn on your heel and pull him into a hug. He doesn’t expect it and it takes him a moment to reciprocate, but his hands wrap around your torso as if they’d never been anywhere else. He pulls you close, buries his head in the crook of your neck, and begins to sob.
You cry, too, but you don’t let him hear that. ‘It’s okay. I’ve got you.’
‘I’m so sorry, Y/N.’ His voice is muffled against your hair and your shirt. ‘For everything I’ve done. I—You deserve so much better, but I can’t—You’re the only thing that makes it bearable. Thinking of what we had is the only thing that keeps me from ending—’
‘Don’t you say that.’ You pull back and look at him, holding his face between your hands, no longer caring if he sees the tears running down your face. ‘Don’t you ever fucking say that again, Rafe Cameron, or I swear to God—’
You pull yourself together, and you feel him tremble. You wonder how much effort it’s taking him to stay here, with you, off of cocaine. Softly, you push hair out of his face, letting it fall to the side. His skin is slick with cold sweat, but you don’t care.
‘Please,’ you tell him, ‘don’t ever say anything like that again. It’s not the end of the world.’
Rafe’s smile is bleak and thin, but it’s a smile nonetheless, and you find it in yourself to smile, too.
‘Thank you.’
It’s not what he says, but you know that’s what he means – thank you for not giving up on me; thank you for loving me when no one else would.
‘I won’t let you give up on yourself, okay?’
He nods, and you hug him again. All you want to do is kiss him again and make all his worries go away, but you know that’s now how it works. Instead, you tell your parents he’s going to stay here for some time, and they’re thankfully okay with that. There’s a free room that your brother used before moving out, and you pick out some of his old things that Rafe could wear.
It’s not easy, getting better. You see him when he’s on the verge of giving in, when he’s raging and when he’s falling apart, but you understand that’s not him, and you don’t let him hurt you anymore.
You promised you wouldn’t let him give up on himself and you stick to that promise, no matter what it takes. With time, things get better, and some of his friends come to visit. Topper is the first and he thanks you, because he knows that you were the only one Rafe would—did—trust with his own life.
Time goes by and Rafe moves back in with Ward, eventually, and you visit. He keeps healing, but some days it’s more difficult than others, and that’s when you take him out to your lodge, up in the mountains, just the two of you.
He never tries anything. You see him looking and you see him longing, just as much as you are, but you’re both aware that he has different priorities. You settle for being his friend instead, and he opens up to you, healing in every way possible. Taking a break from the world does him good.
It’s nearly six months later, when he has nearly recovered, seven months clean, that you kiss him for the first time.
You’re back in your lodge for the week, and it’s winter, so you’re sitting in front of the campfire. Some old vinyl of your dad’s is playing in the background, and you and Rafe are playing a board game you found in the attic.
His skin is flushed all over, and the sickly paleness has been gone for a while. His cheeks have filled out a little, his hair is fuller and healthier, and he stopped wearing it slicked back in front of you. It’s all over his face instead, and you like how simple it makes him look. He’s putting no effort, because he’s finally accepting who he is, and you find yourself falling in love with him all over again.
Rafe catches you looking. He smiles, and you realise how much you’ve missed his genuine smiles. ‘What?’
You giggle and look away, shaking your head. ‘Nothing.’
‘Is there something on my face?’ he asks. ‘Between my teeth?’
‘No, idiot.’
You’re laughing, and so is he, and he’s more carefree than you’ve ever seen him. Every day is a little step away from the bad life, and you’re proud of every single one.
He keeps looking at you and this time, you don’t glance away. Instead, you lean over the table and place a chaste kiss on his lips.
You go back to your seat and watch him go red in the cheeks, mouth slightly agape, wondering what just happened.
‘Would you choose me, this time?’ you ask.
Rafe smiles, and takes your hand. He brushes over your palm with his thumb, never letting his eyes leave yours.
‘Nothing else could even be an option.’

Hiya. So this is part 3. Your illicit relationship with Poe continues despite the fact that both of you are starting to feel that it's wrong.
Someone is going to get hurt, and you have a terrible feeling that it will be you.
Warnings, angst! You are cheating on your significant other! (Please don't do that!) Hints of smut, age difference (nothing illegal you are in your mid 20's) Not for anyone under 18.
In a perfect galaxy this would all work out and everyone would be happy. What exactly is "perfect?" You think bitterly to yourself.
Sadly real life isn't perfect, far from it. Your relationship with Poe would have been great if you weren't both set in your ways.
Despite his youthful, virile visage Poe Dameron feels like he's getting old.
He wants to marry his soul mate, settle down and have a family very soon.
Before I'm either too old to play with them or too dead, Poe used to joke with a rakish grin on his face.
The life of an X wing pilot, especially that of the leader of the black squadron, is dangerous, and that's putting it mildly.
Despite the fact that he was kidding you could hear the seriousness in his voice and see it in his eyes.
You, on the other hand, are young (12 years younger than him to be exact) and your gut is telling you that marrying young and having kids would be a mistake.
But at the same time you understand his struggle and where he's coming from. Even though you don't share his sentiment you realize that being a husband and father is Poe's dream, and it's selfish and cruel to be with someone to crush their dreams.
You loved him so much that you let him go. But now you regret that decision but at the same time you don't want to compromise your beliefs and what you want.
And then there's your girlfriend, beautiful, whip smart Anakari. The woman that could put an X wing back together blindfolded. She's three years your junior and a master mechanic, she's even worked on the black leader's beloved craft from time to time.
The woman adores you. Her smile and kisses could make your terrible day wonderful again.
Anyone would be lucky to have someone like her in their life.
And you're doing this to her, you think bitterly.
"Babe, what's wrong? You look upset".
It's a late Friday night and you once again find yourself in Poe's bed. Instead of basking in the afterglow of the moment you are having trouble relaxing.
You've been intimate with him again, twice already and the night is still somewhat young. He isn't done with you, in fact he's just warming up.
Your body is in a state of deep relaxation from the pleasurable sensations that you've experienced. Your mind, though, is wandering.
Poe can see this, and it's upsetting to him.
With a deep sigh you roll over on your side, facing away from him. He wraps his strong arms around you and holds you tight.
"I love you, y/n". Poe confesses, kissing you softly. "I don't think you understand that at times, it broke my heart when you said no when I proposed".
His candid words sent a knife right through your heart.
He still loved you, the words came right out of his mouth.
Poe wanted to marry you, wanted you to be the mother of his children, but you weren't ready for that.
The way he looked at you and the way he touched you told you that, there was noone else in the galaxy that he wanted to be with.
But in order for things to work someone would have to make a sacrifice.
"Poe, I'm not ready to be a wife and a mother, I've said this all before". You explain with a deep sigh. "I love you too, but I'm just not ready".
"I'm willing to compromise". Poe explains with a weak smile. "But what about your girlfriend?"
"I can't let you do that". You reply quickly, sitting up quickly. "It's your dream to be a father, to be honest I'm not sure if I ever want to have children".
"I don't know how I could live my life without you being a major part of it". He confesses, sitting up, his eyes red from tears. "You have my whole heart, I've never loved anyone before like this".
The two of you share another one of those passionate kisses that feel forbidden. You look deeply into his gorgeous eyes and you are lost, you've never been near someone as beautiful, inside and out, as him.
Everything about him is attractive, down to his hands and feet. Poe was like a living, breathing sculpture, just pure perfection.
But he was also a human being with complex emotions. At times you felt like you were leading him along, keeping him from fully realizing his dreams because you wanted to keep using his body for your own pleasure.
"Poe, we can't continue doing this". You confess, holding your head in your hands as you start to cry. "I'm holding you back from what you really want in life and we both know this".
"Please, I can compromise". Poe begged as he leaned over and kissed you again. "Don't do this, I love you and will always love you".
You get out of bed and start to get dressed. Before you leave you take one last look at him and say,
"I love you too, that's why I'm doing this".
Five years later
You hadn't talked to him since that fateful day but you heard that eventually Poe had reconnected with his first love, Zorii Bliss, had a whirlwind romance, got married and had two kids close together with a third on the way.
He was now in his early 40's. His beautiful hair was a salt and pepper gray. Poe looked relaxed, happy and fulfilled in life and deeply in love with Zorii.
Zorii was a passionate and tough woman. In your opinion Poe needed someone like that in his life.
His two beautiful little boys were his world. He looked softer, happier and much more relaxed because of them.
They were adorable with curly reddish brown hair, their father's dark eyes and tan skin.
Your girlfriend is now your wife. You confessed everything to her and she forgave you. The two of you are not only spouses but best friends. You are enjoying your blissful, child free life.
You are happy, extremely happy, but you can't help but wonder if Poe still thinks of you and those lust filled days and nights that you spent together.
The four of you agree to go out on a double date together. Poe wants you to meet his wife.
Zorii is about 7 months along with a little girl. It was going to be their last child. His family was complete and he was happy, so happy, you could see it in his eyes and smile.
You couldn't help but feel slight pangs of jealousy when you see Poe kiss his wife and remember that was once you.
The feelings soon fade when you see how good she is to him, and how happy they genuinely are.
Zorii and Anakari go off by themselves to chat, leaving just you and Poe together alone.
At first the silence is awkward, almost painful. You can't even look at him at first.
"You were right, y/n, I'm happy". Poe confesses, a strained smile appearing on his face. "My boys are my world, and we're finally having a little girl".
"Congratulations". You tell him, smiling weakly and leaning over to gently touch his hand. "Zorii is a wonderful woman, I'm happy for you, seriously".
"Zorii keeps me in line, and I think I need that". Poe tells you, laughing a little. "Ana is a special woman too, brilliant and beautiful, you're so lucky".
"I still love you, and I will always love you until the end of time". Poe continues, looking down a little. "But we had different goals in life, my kids are my world and I can't imagine them not being here".
"I still love you too". You confess, the tears streaming down your face. "But we weren't meant to be, at least not in this lifetime".
The end

TW!!!- Mentions of suicide attempt, Mentions of suicide note, Mentions of alcohol, Mentions of grooming, Mentions of sexual assault, Mentions of cheating, Mentions of early eating disorder signs. Please let me know If you catch any I didn’t say.
This is about Talia (@satans-little-devil) Okay, so it has come to my attention that I have been played long story short. It all started when she sent in this request. I love requests and was delighted to write for her. Talia would keep checking up on me and asking if I ate/drank etc. We started talking and becoming friends and after about 2 weeks she started getting flirty. I did not know her age at the time so I would flirt back. I'm a little flirty with all of my friends so I didn't see anything wrong with it. After about another week we got even more flirty and on a Friday of (I think) April we started dating. I called her 2 times while we were dating and both times she had an excuse for why she couldn't speak, only listen. On those calls I told her how alcohol and sexual abuse were triggers for me which will come into play later. We dated for 3 days till she told me that she wasn't comfortable with my age, so we were going to wait a bit. We continued to do the exact same things as we were doing before. We weren't supposed to talk romantically to anyone else, we weren't supposed to kiss, touch others, anything like that. After about a week of that is when the suicide attempt and letter posts happened. She had told me about how her parents were abusive and I even supposedly got her in trouble because of our messages. Her parents are homophobic and her sister read through them, then told their parents. I don't even know if I believe this anymore because I've had a gut feeling about this and some things didn't add up which I will get into later. That night I begged her to not do it and told her a whole bunch of things to get her to stop. I even messaged a random person I saw on her blog a couple of times (that I did not know) seeking help. She ended up telling me that I had convinced her and that her parents needed her for chores or something. At this point I'm blowing up her phone, because she hasn't answered me in a while and I'm starting to get worried. She answers me after a few more minutes and tells me that she’s okay and going for a drive. I tell her that's fine, but to be safe because the last time she told me that she got into her wreck. She told me that she would be and once again she stops answering completely. I blew up her phone a lot at this point because i was so scared that something had happened to her. I woke up around once every hour to check our messages and send new ones. I wake up around 3 or 4 in the morning and see that she messaged me back. I read it and she tells me about a post that her sister made for her talking about the attempt. I keep talking to her and she keeps saying sorry and so do I. After a couple of days all of her surgeries are done and she is resting in the hospital. That weekend I get random messages from her telling me things that I couldn't quite make out. She ended up telling me about a day later that she was in a Christian mental hospital and that the messages were her trying to get help. This is why she was saying things like “I'm fine they told me themselves”. She was talking about the nuns. I was pretty skeptical about this because I’ve been told by people I know that they take away electronics from patience there so I asked her how she still had her phone. She told me that she didn't and that they allowed her to have her school lap top. Me being me thought that it was odd, and decided to trust her because I thought that we were close. I’ve always been a trusting person and refused to act on all of the red flags that I saw. She told me that her parents forged her signature, but later she informed me that she found out her doctor signed her into the mental hospital/group home type place. After a while she seemed to be getting better and told me that she liked it better there because she didn't have to deal with her parents. A few days later she informs me about a friend named Blake. Apparently he was one of her friends that she had known since elementary school. She told me that they were really close and that they cuddled which I was uncomfortable with because I'm a very jealous/territorial person, but I let it slide because I felt that I was over reacting and she shouldn't have to change her friendship habits for me. The next day were talking and she tells me that they kiss in a “friend” kind of way. I don't know exactly what that means to her, but that was were I told her in made me upset. She told me that he was gay and that he had a fiancé that he loved dearly. A few moments later all of the sudden Blake is bisexual. She tells me to not worry about him and I brush it off. The next day I am informed that Blake’s boy friend cheated and they broke up. She started telling me about how He would get drunk and become violent and would tell her to hide the alcohol from him. I asked her how he got it in the first place since they were in a mental hospital after all. She basically told me that the nuns didn't care. One of the days he got drunk she told me that he sexually assaulted her. I told her that it was not okay and that she should cut him off. She said no because he was one of her best friends. I eventually convinced her to at least talk to him about it and they ended up crying. We ended up setting boundaries for them. After all of that cleared up she tells me about a friend named Jacob she had coming to visit. Before reading this part please note that I am a minor. I have no experience with sexual matters other than what I see and read, so I have no clue how communication during works. I'm obviously not innocent, considering I run a smut page, but I am not sexually active either. Talia would always push me into sexual things, but in the end I always gave my consent. We didn't do anything overly sexual, just texting. She would always tease me about doing sexual things with both of her friends even though she knew it bothered me. One time she did and told me that she did sexual things with him. I didn't believe her. Later in the day I told her to be nice and that I wasn't mad to which she responds with something like “you aren't mad about Jason?”. At this point I was a little confused and asked if they actually did anything and she ends up saying that they did. She basically blamed it on me and I ended up feeling bad for 2 reasons.
1. I had just been cheated on for the first time
2. I felt like it was my fault.
she said that she was sorry, but I was being too mean and she wanted to be good for someone and that I should have known. By this point in our relationship I started developing eating issues. I would get so stressed out that if I even thought about eating I felt like I would throw up. I told her about it, but did not tell her what the cause of my eating problems were. After a couple of days I'm having a good time at the beach on vacation. She knew that I was on vacation and that I was trying to relax because of my recent problems having to do with her, and just life in general. About 2 nights ago she messages me and tells me that she kissed Jason again. I’m going to try not to show too much emotion in this because i don't want to trauma dump you guys, so ill say the rest as good as I can. I forgave her again. I told her that if it happened again that we were over and she agreed. everything went fine and yesterday was actually pretty smooth sailing. Me and her had nice talks. Her friend messaged me and she asked me to block her, and I did. The only thing that was bothering me at this time is that she started to stop talking to me earlier in the day. The schedule change was drastic. We used to message throughout from around 9am-1am, and it recently changed to around 12pm-8pm. Today I woke up, got ready to leave my hotel, and messaged her at about 7am. In the car I messaged her and told her that I might not be able to talk for awhile because i lost my charger. she ends up responding with “hiii” and that was the last message I got and will probably get from her, because when I got back home and checked my messages her whole account was de-activated. I unblock her friend and ask her if Talia is okay. her friend still hasn't answered, even though I don't think I want her to anymore. I saw a couple posts about her, but didn't believe them until i saw an ask from @sexy-for-cedric about @were-not-doing-get-help ‘s post. If it wasn't for that I would probably still be on her side, but knowing that I was cheated on ATLEAST 3 times in a month by the same person sent me over the edge. I understand that what she did was horrible, but please don't tag me in any posts shunning her or saying dreadful things about her. I know that its wrong for me to, but I still love her and I hope you all understand that I hate myself for it, so please don't be rude to me. I was already nervous enough to post this. And if anyone tries to tell me how I feel trust me, I know how i felt about her. I have a locket with her picture in it that I cant wear anymore. I hope anyone that is going through what I am knows that my dms are always open and that this is not your fault.
And Talia if you are seeing this I'm sorry and I truly do love you, but the pain started to be too much as of today when I found out. I'm sorry, I hope you find your way in life. I hope you are okay.

His Sweater - Koganegawa x Reader
Pairing: Koganegawa x f!reader
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: none
Summary: Y/n tends to be attracted to quiet, calm, and caring guys. But she ends up falling for Koganegawa and it involves a soda, a mop and a sweater - and maybe a few laps around the track.
Words: 2,139
Additional Characters: Futakuchi, Aone, Moniwa, Sakunami, Obara, Kamasaki, Nametsu, Akaashi (mentioned) (how did he get there? lol. jk)
Author's notes: This is a matchup story for an anon. I hope you like it. The matchup description is at the end of the story. This is also for the HQC monthly prompt event, using the Sweater Weather prompt.
*****
"Wait for me, senpai!!!!" a tall boy with blond hair yelled out, dashing into the convenience store. Y/n felt a breeze as she heard the bell jingle from the entrance door.
Y/n shivered, having recently left the store. The sky was already getting dark when basketball practice finished but now it casted an orange hue over the neighbourhood. As she put on her green blazer for the first time in a while, she recalled a moment back when she lived in Tokyo.
“Do you want my sweater?” Akaashi asked her classmate in junior high. That was when Y/n learned how calm and caring he was - and unknowingly started to have a crush on him. But then she moved to Miyagi so her crush was short-lived. She didn’t mind though. She was hopeful there would be other guys like him.
“Y/N!!!” the same tall boy chased after her, leaving the convenience store. Y/n flinched at his loud voice and almost had an urge to run away. She felt that would be too mean. But it was a little scary to have a 6’3” male teenager running at full speed towards her. She didn’t know him, but his uniform indicated they went to the same school. “Do you play League of Legends?”
Y/n blinked a couple of times before she gave a slow nod. Was he from another class?
Koganegawa, she later learned his name, beamed with excitement as he waved down the other members of the volleyball team. “Sakunami! You’re right! She does play!”
Y/n froze as the crowd came towards her, carrying various drinks. She was able to make out a slushy and a carton of milk but wasn't sure about the rest. She tried her best to give a polite smile, hoping they didn’t notice how awkward she was acting. She didn't mix well with large crowds.
“Are you really good?” Koganegawa continued.
“I’m not that good,” she replied, playing with her fingers, “but I know my way around the game.”
“Guys!” he waved at his team, “Y/n’s really good!” Y/n giggled at how he decided to interpret her words. “When we play together, we keep losing,” Koganegawa said with a frown, “so could you carry us?!”
She stared at Koganegawa’s large frame, then at his teammates of equivalent stature. Although she knew he didn’t mean to literally carry them, she couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of trying to do so. It didn’t help that Koganegawa was so earnest in his request and was currently flustered as to why she was laughing so much.
“I can try my best to lead the team,” she replied. “Although, I don’t know if I’m good enough compared to the rest of you.”
Koganegawa got excited by her response - a little too excited. To the point where he forgot he was holding his drink when his arms shot up.
So his soda ended up on her blazer.
“ACKK!!!” Koganegawa panicked. “I’m so sorry!” He rummaged through his bag, but because he was too flustered, nothing useful came out. (His towel just happened to be with their manager for a wash.)
“It’s okay,” Y/n smiled. “Don’t worry about it. It was an accident.”
Koganegawa couldn’t believe how easily she forgave him. If it was someone like Futakuchi or Moniwa, he would have been scolded for sure. The two of them did end up nagging him anyway, witnessing the whole thing.
Y/n removed her wet blazer. It wouldn’t take long for her to get home to wash it. But she felt a shiver run up her back, forgetting how late it was getting.
“Do you want my sweater?” Koganegawa asked after receiving a bonk on the head from Moniwa.
Y/n stared at the sweater he held out to her. She smirked, not expecting that her memory of Akaashi would be replaced by a comedic introduction from Koganegawa.
*****
After a few months, because of various reasons like school, sports and conflicting schedules, Y/n was finally able to play League with Koganegawa and his friends. He still greeted her during those months whenever they saw each other in the hallway. It was a little jarring to hear him shout her name loud enough for the whole school to hear, but she eventually got used to it
It turned out that Koganegawa didn’t really know what “carry” meant. He just heard the term being used a lot to refer to someone who was experienced with the game.
“So there’s AP carry and there’s AD carry,” Y/n explained. Koganegawa eagerly nodded, showing he was paying attention. So Y/n started to continue but was interrupted by Futakuchi.
“Don’t let him fool you,” Futakuchi mentioned, his arm leaning on the door frame of the classroom. “Just because he’s listening, it doesn’t mean he actually understood.”
Y/n smiled. “I don’t mind teaching him. He’s eager to learn so why not?”
Aone, from behind Futakuchi, indicated they needed to head for practice. “You’d better hurry up,” Futakuchi told Koganegawa. “Otherwise you’ll be late.”
“Yes sir!” Koganegawa replied. “If I'm late, I'll run 100 laps around the track!”
“Uh… no,” Futakuchi sweatdropped. “You don’t have to do that.” But looking at Koganegawa’s face, he sighed. “Ugh, but if you do, at least limit it to twenty, okay?” Aone nodded in agreement.
“Yes sir!” Koganegawa dashed between the desks while pushing his mop.
Y/n and Koganegawa were assigned on clean up duty that day. He was happy to be paired up with someone he knew, not that he would have minded meeting a new person. He liked making friends, which was something Y/n admired about him.
Y/n wiped the chalkboard and looked around trying to recall what else needed to be done. She didn’t want Koganegawa to be late either. She liked volleyball as well as basketball so she understood his eagerness to play.
But as she went to pick up some papers that fell from the teacher’s desk, Koganegawa unintentionally swung the mop towards her and whacked her head. Slightly shaken from the hit, she covered her forehead with her hands, trying to hold back a groan.
“Y/n!!! I’m so sorry!!” Koganegawa yelled out his apology. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m alright,” she told him. Touching her forehead, the growing bump was a little tender but nothing too concerning for her. “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be ok-” Suddenly, her eye level shifted. “What are you doing?” Y/n shrieked. Koganegawa picked her up and ran out of the classroom.
He didn't respond to her question but continued to mumble about the nurse's office as if it would help him get there faster.
"Nurse Joy!" he yelled, sliding the door open. It was empty.
"I'm okay," Y/n told him again. She didn't feel any dizziness from the mop but she might have from the run. She didn't want to worry him with that information though.
The two of them decided to wait for the nurse. They were hopeful she would come back soon. But she instead returned an hour later, which made Koganegawa miss his practice. He was a little sad, but prepared himself to run his laps around the track.
“Didn’t Futakuchi say you didn’t have to do it?” Y/n asked. "Besides, it was the nurse's fault that you were late. And you didn't have to wait with me."
"No," he was adamant. "I'm going to run! I need to be a man of my word!"
Y/n, a little stunned, didn't expect Koganegawa to be firm about something like that. From her previous impressions of him, she thought he was naive and clumsy. But to think under all of that, he was a guy of integrity, even for something as small as this. "If you can't be loyal with the little things, you can't be trusted with the big things," she repeated the thought in her head.
Y/n's hands moved to cover her cheeks as if they would help cool them down. She knew this feeling and smiled. She didn't mind if it was someone like Koganegawa, realizing how caring he was.
After leaving the nurse's office, he ran the track. She watched.
He didn't ask her to watch. He probably didn't even notice she was there, expecting her to have gone home by now. He lent her his sweater, saying he wouldn't need it anyway with all the running. But she stuck with him. She wanted to be there to support him when he got tired and to encourage him to keep going when he wanted to give up.
After twenty laps around the track, he panted with arms hanging. Y/n, wearing his sweater, handed a water bottle to him.
"Kogane," she said his nickname, cheeks heating up. "You did well."
*****
“Here, senpai! You can use my sweater!” Koganegawa told Nametsu.
Y/n started visiting their practice matches a few weeks ago. Koganegawa was always happy whenever someone came to watch. But she wondered if she held any significance to him. It seemed like it didn't matter whom he was with. He was always eager to be around anyone because he was a sweet and outgoing guy. So looking at the sweater Nametsu wore, she shouldn’t have been surprised by his gesture. But the knot in her stomach wasn’t there when Akaashi lent his sweater to her classmate. Why was this different? She sighed, knowing why.
It didn’t help that Koganegawa got shy around her recently. He was probably avoiding her but she tried to be optimistic by thinking he was just shy. But there was no reason for him to be shy. “Koganegawa” and “shy” didn’t go together. Shy was a word meant for her.
At first she tried to be very gentle and patient with him, but he would freeze up. It also didn’t help when she covered his hand with hers, trying to show she cared about him. That resulted in him avoiding her for the following 24 hours.
Who was she kidding? He was avoiding her and she didn’t know how to fix it. All she was stuck doing was to watch Koganegawa show kindness to his manager and having unpleasant feelings about it.
“Don’t tell me you’re jealous,” Futakuchi asked Y/n from behind.
Obara closed his water bottle and said, “If you wanted to cheer her up, you should have just told her Koganegawa likes her.”
Aone grunted to show his agreement.
‘Why are you on his side?” Futakuchi asked Aone.
Moniwa placed his hand on Y/n shoulder. “Don’t worry,” he told her, “He definitely likes you.”
“Yeah, could he be more obvious?” laughed Kamasaki.
Y/n turned her head, her eyes finding Koganegawa’s. He quickly looked away, then stole a glance at Y/n before fixing his eyes on the ground. Y/n watched as the redness from his neck rose up to his cheeks.
“Why did you think he’s been so shy around you lately,” Sakunami added. So that was why. He really was just shy. Y/n felt silly for being so blind to it.
Koganegawa’s blush finally reached the top of his head. And then he ran. “Why did you tell her???” he cried out as he exited the gym.
Out of instinct, Y/n ran after him. She wanted to make sure he was okay after his teammates spilled out his feelings for her. She saw him at a distance down the hallway. Koganegawa came to a halt, causing Y/n to flinch and stop as well. Then he started rushing back towards her.
“I don’t hate you Y/n!” he cried out, once he was in front of her.
“What?”
“I didn’t want you to think I ran away because I hate you.”
“I knew that already,” Y/n laughed.
Koganegawa gave a sigh of relief. “Okay. Because I definitely don’t hate you. I-,” he started getting red again, “I actually like you.”
Even though Y/n heard it from his teammates, it was different hearing it from his own mouth. This just made it all the more real. She nodded, showing that she liked him too.
“C- can I kiss you?”
Y/n’s eyes shot open at his sudden request. His confession was already a lot to take in. But with hope filled in his eyes, she didn’t have the heart to say no.
It was wet and sloppy, which she found kind of funny, but she didn’t care because it was from him.
He looked at her expectantly, wondering if he did a good job. She didn't know how to react. So all she was able to say was, “I don’t know what to do with you,” burying her face in her hands.
“I’m sorry! I’ll do better next time!”

I hope you liked it. I actually cringed at this fic but didn't want to change it. LOL. If you liked this one, you'll probably like my Shibayama x reader one-shot because it has a similar feel to this one. :) Or maybe my Kyoutani x reader one-shot, which is my latest one before this fic.

Lucas: Why?
Robbe: Because Sander wants to meet you guys. And he gets off at 16:00 on Wednesday.
Jens: Wait really?
Robbe: Yeah. Do you have a problem with it?
Jens: What? No, of course not. I guess I just didn’t expect it to be so soon. Especially after everything that happened.
Robbe: I know, but I want him to meet you guys. Officially. As my boyfriend.
Aaron: Awww, Robbe has a boyfriend.
Robbe: I’ve said he’s my boyfriend multiple times.
Lucas: Yeah, he literally won’t shut up about it.
Robbe: I’m sorry. How many times do you talk about Jens?
Lucas: :)
Aaron: I know, but it’s still new and I’m allowed to be excited.
Moyo: That’s true. We’re excited. And Wednesday sounds good to me. Noor and I are going out tonight.
Jens: Have fun! Wednesday sounds good to me too. Am I going to like him still after everything?
Lucas: Yes.
Jens: Oh really?
Lucas: One look at how he makes Robbe happy and you’ll like him again.
Robbe: I didn’t realize you stopped.
Lucas: He didn’t. He just says that he does. He’s gotta be all macho and protective.
Jens: You like me when I’m macho and protective.
Aaron: VDS at it again.
Moyo: You’re still in the group chat?
Jens: And? I can flirt with my boyfriend when I want to. Even in the group chat.
Robbe: I’m screenshotting that.
Aaron: What for?
Robbe: For when we eventually add Sander to this chat. And Jens tells me not to flirt with my boyfriend. I have proof that I can flirt in the group chat.
Jens: Are we adding Sander to the group chat? We haven’t even met him officially yet. And we never added Thomas to it.
Robbe: I know, but I have a feeling about this one. Plus, I know you guys already like him anyways. Especially Aaron.
Aaron: That’s true.
Jens: In love Robbe is my favorite Robbe.
Moyo: Yeah.
Lucas: Agreed.
Robbe: Thanks guys.

Dinsdag 19:25
It had been on Robbe’s mind for awhile—days, weeks even. It was time for something different.
At least for Tuesday.
Tonight, Sander was going over to Britt’s parents’ house. It had been an unexpected and last-minute invite from her parents and Sander was asked to come. Britt had messaged Robbe about it, asking if it was okay, and Robbe had said that it was. It still felt a little weird—as weird as his boyfriend pretending to be dating his ex-girlfriend could be—but that wasn’t why Robbe was upset. But, Robbe didn’t even know if ‘upset’ was the word he should be using… Disappointed? Maybe.
It wasn't about Sander going over to Britt’s. It was Sander going over to Britt’s tonight.
Changing up his streams had been on Robbes mind for a few weeks and yesterday afternoon, after playing numerous matches that were just like all the others, he finally decided that he wanted to do it. At least for one day. When Britt had asked—followed shortly by Sander’s call—he thought of pushing the change off until later but, at the same time, Robbe didn’t want to.
Since that Friday night, Robbe had been itching to play Pokémon Sword and Shield, the newest generation in the franchise. With their buzzed and love-drunk minds, they hadn’t really gotten very far into the game. Every once in a while, they would pause to kiss and it would end up a little more handsy than originally planned. Once they managed to pull themselves away, they would barely make any progress before they would tumble back against the bed, kissing each other.
So Robbe went out and bought a Nintendo Switch after his Monday night stream. Because Sander had a copy of Pokémon Shield—he remembered the opening title scene quite vividly—Robbe chose the opposite version before looking through to see what other games were compatible with the console. Once he got his new purchase home, he spent the majority of the evening setting it up with the help of YouTube videos. Zoë had brought him a plateful of spaghetti as he was knee-deep in cords.
Once he woke up on Tuesday morning, Robbe put the finishing touches to make sure that everything would run smoothly—or as smoothly as it could without going live. Even though Robbe had informed them that he was going to do something different, his nerves were still running high, bouncing in his chest. For years, Fortnite had been the only thing that Robbe streamed. So the bulk of his audience would expect Fortnite from him.
Before he started the stream, his phone vibrated loudly against the desk, pulling his gaze from the computer in front of him.
Sander: Have a good stream, baby. I’m hoping to catch the end. If not, I’ll watch it before bed.
A flood of warmth shot through Robbe and soothed all of the erratic nerves in his chest. Unconsciously adjusting his headphones, Robbe typed out a quick message.
Robbe: Have a good dinner. Text me when you get home.
Sander: I will <3
Once Robbe placed his phone to the side, glancing at Sander’s framed sketch, he started the stream. Even though he was still nervous, it was all for nothing. To his surprise, a majority of his regular audience were excited to see him play through Sword for the first time. On the other hand, there were still a handful of people who weren’t excited. Before they left the chat, they made passive aggressive comments about going to watch a Fortnite streamer, and the comments stung a little. Thankfully, the majority of his audience encouraged him and he started the game with little fuss.
On that Friday evening with Sander, they had chosen the water-type starter, Sobble. While Robbe thought that the anxious salamander (or chameleon?) was adorable, he ended up choosing the Scorbunny this time around, which he named Flint. The white bunny with a bandage on his nose had interested him. Plus, if he and Sander were going to continue with Sobble, he wanted to do something different with this one. Once he hit the first route of the game, Robbe caught a Rookidee, which he named Alloy. It was a small bird that looked angry but would eventually evolve into a Corviknight.
When Robbe finally reached the Wild Area, the vast area between cities—and, he learned, Pokémon’s first step into an open world—Robbe paused to consider getting the online services to connect with his viewers who had Pokémon. After a few minutes, he decided to wait until later in the game before he got the online services. Plus, he wanted to look into the other games on the Switch so he could do what they were temporarily dubbing “Nintendo Tuesday.”
As Robbe prepared to enter the Opening Ceremonies for the first time, his phone vibrated against the desk, drawing his attention. Rebel, Rebel played again as Sander’s text message popped up on the screen.
Sander: Baby, buzz me in.
Pulling down his headphones, he barely could make out the buzzer in the hallway. It was still going—which meant that no one else was home. “Umm,” Robbe said, placing his controller on the desk. His character was mid-conversation with a stadium worker and his chat was moving very quickly. “Sorry, I’m going to take my five-minute break now.”
Muting his microphone and placing his headphones on the desk, Robbe shot out of his bedroom door and hit the buzzer on the front door. It only took nearly a full minute for Sander to arrive at the front door, knocking lightly, and Robbe opened it impatiently to find him there on his doormat. Sander was dressed in a long-sleeve black button-up with a pair of skinny jeans. His cheeks were flushed, likely from the heat.
As soon as the door opened, Sander stepped into the apartment and kissed him hurriedly. His skin was hot to the touch—and a little sweaty–but Robbe didn’t mind, bringing him closer against him. Sander wrapped his arms around Robbe’s waist before pulling back. “Hi, baby.”
“Hey,” Robbe said, beaming.
“I’m sorry for interrupting your stream,” he said. “I just really wanted to see you.”
“Is everything okay?” Robbe asked.
“Yeah,” Sander said, squeezing his waist. “Everything is fine. While we were at dinner, her parents asked us if we were really dating because we never kissed in front of them. When her father tried to force us to kiss to prove that we weren’t faking it, Britt exploded. She got into a fight with her dad and I could only watch with her mom as they fought. In the end, she came out to her parents.”
Robbe felt his eyes grow wide, pulling back. “What?”
Sander nodded. “Yeah, I didn’t tell you before because she wasn’t ready yet. But when I took her to my apartment and was going to come over here, she let me know that I could tell you. She’s been in a relationship with her girlfriend for six months. Her parents were always a little overbearing and controlling in her life and tonight was the last straw. She packed a bag and she’s staying in Noor’s bedroom until she figures out what to do.”
“Wow,” Robbe said. “I’m so sorry.”
Sander shrugged with a sad look on his face. “It’s been a long time coming. Since she’s found out, she’s been a ticking time bomb with her parents. They always talked about her being with a good guy—even when she was with me, both real and fake—and she internalized all of it. Every time, she got a little closer until it was too much.”
Robbe nodded. He understood that feeling. In high school, he exploded at the Broerrrs. He had been going through so much—his mother in the hospital and his repressed feelings that he refused to acknowledge to even himself—until one day it was too much. Thankfully, he had Milan and Zoë to help him. The Broerrrs forgave his explosion and changed when they realized how much Robbe was hurt by their words. Avoiding Sander’s gaze, he mumbled, “I know what it’s like… to explode.”
Sander nodded, pressing a kiss to Robbe’s forehead. For a second, they simply rocked in the silence of the foyer. Soon, Sander ducked his head down to press a kiss against Robbe’s lips and he arched against Sander’s chest. Robbe stood on his toes, wrapping his arms around Sander’s neck, and kissed him back. Sander wrapped his arms tighter around Robbe, bringing him flush against his chest, as he dug his fingers into his hair.
Pulling back, Sander kissed his nose. “You better get back to your stream. I just really wanted to see you.”
“They can wait a little more,” Robbe said.
“Yeah, but you don’t want to keep them waiting forever,” Sander said grinning. Placing one more kiss on his lips, he moved back to the front door. As Sander reached to open the door and step outside, Robbe tugged him back against him and Sander looked at him confused. “What is it?”
“You don’t have to leave,” Robbe said. Sander stared down at him with half-lidded eyes and Robbe swallowed his nerves. “You can stay here and come on the stream with me—or hang out in my room if you feel more comfortable with that.” A small smile grew on Sander’s face. “Besides, I need your expertise about my stream and I’d love to have you with me.”
“Didn’t you say last week that I would be distracting?”
“Maybe,” Robbe said, tilting his head back. Sander stared at him with a sly smile on his face. “Maybe I also changed my mind about you being distracting. But you have to promise to be on your best behavior.”
“Okay,” Sander said, gripping his hips tightly. “I’d love to join. But I don’t know how much help I’m going to be with Fortnite and online matches. All I know is what you’ve told me or I’ve heard on your streams.”
Robbe smiled, pressing a kiss to his lips before moving to the kitchen. “I’ll be back soon. I still need to grab a glass of water or I’m not going to be able to make it the rest of the stream without another break.”
When Robbe returned to his bedroom, Sander had kicked off his shoes and unbuttoned his shirt, exposing the black shirt he had beneath it. His bag had been discarded at the foot of the bed. There was an emotional look on his face as he turned to Robbe who stepped into the doorway.
“You’re playing Pokémon?” Robbe nodded, relishing when Sander closed the distance and pressed another kiss to his lips. Even with a full glass of water in his hands, Robbe wasted no time in wrapping his free arm around his shoulders and kissing him back. When they separated, Sander grinned. “Lucky for you, Mr. IJzermans, I’m quite the Pokémon expert.”
Robbe smiled, stealing another fleeting kiss. “Lucky me.”

Legend of Korra books 3 & 4
Finished rewatching books 3 and 4 of Korra. Here on my thoughts on them and the series as a whole after seeing it again after so many years.
I think books 3 and 4 are pretty solid. Aside from a few flaws, I think 3 is the overall best with the best pacing. I think a big issue with book 2 was that it was trying and failing to juggle a very big cast and multiple subplots that made it feel like a mess. That’s not an issue with 3 or 4, where every character has a relevant purpose and plot threads come together more naturally.
4 does this a little bit worse as I think the plot kind of starts and stops a couple of times, but it’s not terrible. Kuvira’s build up as a villain is very shaky when compared to Amon and Zaheer, but still better than Unalaq’s arc going down the drain. It really does seem like the worst parts of her villainy are told and not shown (those being the reeducation camps and slave labor). I think they could have shown at least one of these camps instead of just seeing the escapees that Varrick and Bolin meet.
I still think the Red Lotus are the best antagonists in LoK just for having the best arc overall. They had Amon’s intrigue, stayed consistent in their motivations like Kuvira, and they have the most dimensions overall just from the little bits of interaction we see of them. What’s more, they didn’t disappoint me in the end.
The Colossus I didn’t mind or find out of place. It just doesn’t bother me when the show has had Koizilla and giant drills in AtLA. I can understand how the mechanics of it work as well. I didn’t feel like my suspension of disbelief was broken considering everything else. I think fans who dislike it are more bothered by it breaking the setting further away from fantasy and into sci-fi.One question though, why does a spirit energy canon need a rifled barrel?
Mako is a much better character in 3 and 4 because he’s finally allowed to be someone other than a love interest. His interactions with Bolin can be really fun and it’s kind of a shame how often they’re separated. I also noticed on a rewatch that he does make a good detective, having good perception and coming up with ideas. It’s better than the pro-bender he started out as and probably his best strength.
I think I actually like Mako now whereas before he was the most forgettable, and I think he deserves some looking into. A lot of the hate comes from him being put into really tough spots where he just can’t win. Mako goes from being extremely aloof to being a loyal but beleaguered straight man to the group.
Raiko I feel similarly to Mako. I think he’s another guy who keeps getting put into tough spots with no easy solution. He doesn’t really deserve hate either, and honestly probably made the best decisions he could as a president (I know from experience how bad they can be...) Him being hated and voted out in the comics seem like Bryke was over correcting, something they seem to do a lot.
Suyin I have mixed feelings on. She really does seem like someone Bryke really wanted fans to like and agree with, but they shilled her a bit too much and at the expense of Lin. Su’s apology to Lin at the end of their dispute felt kind of half-hearted, and despite being justified, the whole thing is framed as Lin being the one in the wrong, stuck in the past, unable to move on after Su had changed. We don’t see Su change though, and Su keeps acting like what she did wasn’t that big a deal, so it falls flat.
What’s more, Su continues being a big presence into book 4, and I think I have to agree with Kuvira that Su should have at least done something to help the EK out. It really does make Su come off as kind of a cowardly hypocrite who’s so afraid of looking like a dictator that she doesn’t even try to help. She doesn’t want to be treated like royalty or an authoritarian, but if you look at Zaofu the place is already set up like a small kingdom, with the Beifongs being the divine bloodline descended from Toph, the strongest bender to ever live. Su is a queen in all but name, and if she was so afraid of looking like a dictator she could have just given up the power like Kuvira was supposed to have done. Su just rubs me the wrong way from start to finish, and it’s partly because the show doesn’t challenge her or make her change. It just expects us to see her as being right, and she just isn’t.
Bolin being a lava bender I remember being really excited for, because it was something I predicted when I first saw it years ago. I don’t have a problem with how he discovered it. It’s not the best way I’d like see someone discover a new power, but I think it’s better than when Korra finally got airbending (though that didn’t bother me too much either). It just kind of made sense to me and finally gave something else to stand out besides comic relief.
The air kids got better in 3 and 4 too. Meelo got less annoying, Jinora was more fleshed out, and I actually really like Ikki in book 4.
Now Korra and Asami. I think Korra is maybe at her most static in book 3, but her arc in book 4 is the most interesting as she had to build herself back up. I don’t agree with some of the things that are just told to the viewer, like how she needed to learn from her enemies. At the finale Korra says she had to suffer to learn compassion, but it’s not like Korra wasn’t a compassionate person already. Korra’s arc seemed more centered on dealing with trauma and finding her purpose in a world that seemed hellbent on telling her she wasn’t needed. I don’t know if that was some kind of meta commentary, but it does work.
I do like Korra’s overall development from where she was in book 1. If I had to put it into words, I think her story is about trying to fulfill a role that she’s been groomed for her whole life, trying to live up to expectations, pushed into doing what others want her to do, failing those things, then finding the strength and resolve to achieve success on her own terms, even if it’s not what everyone wants. Korra gradually learns to stop being a tool for world leaders to use to keep order or power. It’s not always done well, but it’s there.
It’s nice to see her and Asami be friends after the love triangle stuff. It’s kind of surprising, but they didn’t really interact all that much in the first two books all things considered. Asami doesn’t change a whole lot throughout the series, but her reconnecting with her dad at the end felt satisfying.
I’ll be honest, I never really saw Korrasami happening and didn’t view much of their interactions as being romantic in nature. I think only the letter writing and their reunion seems a little shippy, but not very obvious. That said, I can buy the two of them finally realizing they might be attracted to each other at the finale, as a beginning to their relationship. The real problem is that shippers and even Bryke overhyped this moment up as it being ENDGAME rather than treating it as what is was, a spark of attraction. Korra and Asami aren’t in love yet, they’re just going on their first official date.
I do like them being together though. It seems a lot healthier than other potential relationships, and let’s be real here; Asami NEEDED something to make her happy because holy shit has she be through a lot by the end of the series. Dumped by Mako twice, almost lost her company and lost her dad after she forgave him. Give the poor rich girl a break.
So, final thoughts on the series as a whole; it’s not as good as AtLA, but that’s mostly on the execution. LoK was messy and had issues, but it did eventually smooth things out after a lot of course correcting. There are things I don’t like, but not enough for me to write it off, and it has plenty of strengths that make it deserving of a watch if you keep an open mind.
I remember ThunderCats 2011 getting a lot of flak too, and that’s one of my favorite shows ever despite its glaring flaws, so I really can’t work up the energy to trash LoK. I know plenty of people can connect to it even if I don’t, at least not fully, and I honestly do believe that overall LoK’s strengths outweigh its flaws, even if it can be inconsistent and unpolished.
LoK may take place in the same world as AtLA, but it is a very fundamentally different series, and beyond a few very core basics of storytelling I think it’s a little unfair to compare the two. It’s not the masterpiece it could have been, but at the end I still enjoyed it. I might have more thoughts later, but these are what I have for now.

The Long Black Road
I FINISHED SOMETHING EVERYONE CONGRATULATE ME. This was @yamadara87 prompt, “MA after Haruka dies” takes place in the MaS AU.
The shop was quiet for a Wednesday afternoon. It could have been owing to the cold as much as anything, and the fact that with so many holidays having recently been laid to rest, women were not nearly so fussy about having the latest style. It was always a slow period of the year, one where Takuya and MA generally set about to improving parts of the shop, thinking about the coming year, and running the books.
But Takuya was alone in the small but exclusive shop today, and had been for the last few weeks. He’d just finished with a client determined to keep her hair black despite her age, washing up in the back corner, when he heard the door open, the high bells chiming across the pristine shop. He knew damn well he didn’t have an appointment lined up, and their shop was the sort of place that only did a walk-in if your cash and your pedigree matched up.
He’d even sent their receptionist home for the day.
“Welcome!” He beamed brightly as he walked out the back, setting aside the actual thoughts in his head for something much more encouraging.
“It’s just me.” M.A. stopped at the front desk and looked over her appointment book, whipping through the pages until she came to the clean emptiness of the current week. “When Masami comes in tomorrow, let her know I’m taking appointments. Make sure she calls Ms. Sato, I’m sure she’s having a heart attack right about now.”
“I--” Takuya leaned against the wall near the back of the shop, “Wasn’t expecting to see you. For awhile.”
MA looked up at him and grinned, tossing the curly hair back from her face. On anyone else it might have looked careless, but it was in these moments that Takuya was reminded that MA was a Kaioh by bloodline and inclination, and had her mother’s way of making something look intentional and stylish.
“Get used to having the place to yourself, huh?”
“No,” he shook his head, straightening up off the wall, “I missed having you. But, M.A….”
“Pop died this morning, to answer your question,” she punctuated the thought by dropping the pen into the cup, “so I’m back.”
Takuya nearly sighed, but then thought better of it. Since they’d met in school, he’d always been taken with MA’s blend of brashness and breeding, the way she could play at either without skipping a beat, her intense refusal to allow anything to push her off the balance beam of her own life. She was stubborn and strong and all the things Takuya wanted for himself, and had cultivated a bit of, in his adult life.
But things are never simple, Takuya had learned as life went on, and strength can be an anchor, and an anchor can do many things at once, while never changing shape. MA was not weak, because she never let herself be weak. She never gave herself permission to be weak.
He doubted he could give her that permission either, but at the very least, he could try.
“You don’t have to be here.”
MA scoffed and shook her head. “What else is there to do?”
She looked at him when he said it, a mild look of amusement on her face. She wanted him to have an answer. MA would have loved for Takuya to know what a human being was supposed to do, after a mother dies. He would have loved to have an answer, as well, and, tugging at his sleeve, realize he should have known the question would come long before it did.
MA didn’t give him a chance to come up with anything before she parried each blow.
“Funeral home got her body,” she closed the schedule book, “Pop planned most of her own funeral,” she took mail from the desk and shoved an envelope in the correct slot, “wrote the eulogy,” another envelope, in the garbage this time,” So, what is there to do? Other than sit around and cry about something we’ve known is coming for months. Kimi has that down, I don’t think the family needs me for that.”
Takuya came over and sat at the desk, looking up at her.
“What about your kids?”
She stopped for a moment, mail still in hand, and looked past the desk and out the front window. She opened her mouth, but nothing came out, and eventually she closed it, shaking her head, returning to her mail.
“MA--”
“What, Takuya?” She tossed down the rest of the mail. “What do you want from the entire conversation? You want me to cry? Would that make you feel like I was doing all of this correctly?” she crossed her arms. “There is nothing on earth left that I can do for her. My Papa is dead, and there’s no bringing her back, and all the ridiculous throwing myself into open sobbing is going to change that. It would just be to make everyone else feel better. It won’t make me feel better, because she would still be dead, and I would be annoyed and crying.”
“What I want, Marine, is for you not to do this--thing, that you do,--”
“I don’t know why you bother even trying to say my name. You pronounce it like a donkey.” She sat down at the desk and opened the computer file.
“--where you pretend everything is fine, and that nothing can possibly rattle you, and then all of a sudden, you’re gone. You just suddenly decide to deal with things, and God fucking forbid you let anyone help you.”
She just looked at him, an unimpressed stare on her face.
“Remember when you and your boyfriend broke up? And it was nothing, until I looked up, and you were in some cheap-ass onsen, drunk, for five days. That was a month later!”
M.A.’s face turned from unimpressed to thoughtful, though still there was no betrayal of sadness.
“You’re, and I don’t say this to piss you off, a little bit like your mom sometimes.”
M.A. let out a loud groan and threw herself back in the chair. “God, I am, aren’t I?” She sighed. “It’s some Greek tragedy of mine.”
Takuya shrugged. “I like your mom. But, she definitely is, emotionally avoidant.”
M.A. rested her hands on her chin and stared down at the appointment book. She and Taskuya sat there for a moment, saying nothing, at all, until M.A.’s voice came softly from the desk.
“I was such a bitch to Pop when I was a teenager.”
All of life is a play, and there ware times in our lives when we must recognize the act and stage on which we stand. There is a time for the quick back and forth of Wilde, and a time for the ponderousness of Chekov, and above all, a time for a Shakespearan soliloquy.
And so Takuya did not respond.
“She was such a good mom,” M.A. folded her hands into her lap, looking more like Michiru than ever before, though he would not have dared say it, “She packed my lunch every day, with these little notes about how she loved me, or was proud of me. Sometimes just a little drawing. I started throwing them away, when I was 13. All my Pop had ever wanted,” she took a deep breath, “ was to be a mom, and I just kept throwing it back in her face.”
“She tried to take me to the movies, shopping, and just--” she gave a difficult huff, “I wanted nothing to do with her. She just wanted me too badly. Isn’t that horrible? My Pop loved me so much that I resented her for it. I thought she was pathetic.
“I really am like my Mom, sometimes, Takuya. You don’t know the half of it. I’ve heard stories of my Mom, when she was a teenager, even up into her 20s, how she was vain and petty, and self-centered. Mom always turns a little pink when anyone mentions it. And then I did the same thing, but to Pop. To someone who only wanted to love me for everything I was. Didn’t matter when I screamed at Mom, didn’t matter when I snuck out. Didn’t even matter when I stole her medication and sold it. And I hated her for it.” she gave a chuckle, “I’m such a bitch.”
M.A looked up at the ceiling, hands still folded, unable to even glance over at Takuya.
“I was so cruel, those next few years. I told her she was embarrassing. I told her to leave me alone. Once, when I was 15, I told her she wasn’t even my mom. I wasn’t related to her at all. She started to cry, right there in front of me. You know what I did, Takuya?” she looked over at him, tears streaming down her cheeks. “Fucking nothing. I stood there, and watched my Pop cry, when she had thrown her entire life into raising me. What kind of fucking...monster…”
Sometimes, a soliloquy becomes a spiral, and so Takuya stepped in.
“I knew your Pop for, well, as long as I’ve known you. You two were really close, M.A. So you were a bitch for three years as a kid. I knew Haruka, and I saw her with you, and I never would have known any of that. She forgave you. And you changed. So.”
M.A laughed and wiped away her tears. “Well, at a certain point, my aunt Mina had enough of my shit and threatened to beat my ass if I couldn’t treat Pop with some kind of borderline kindness.” she cleared her throat. “She told me everything that ever happened to Pop. I never knew all of it. She never told me, and, you know, her mom died when I was really little. And--and, Pop had a pretty big surgery around that time, and I remember cutting class and taking Kimi--”
“Kimi cut class!? Kimiko. Your sister.”
M.A. nodded. “The first and last time. Pop hadn’t wanted us to see her until she was a little better. But since when was I listening to Pop? Kimi was so worried. We got there and Pop was so...I felt bad for her.”
Takuya smiled and leaned over the desk. “And the Snow Queen melted, and became a real girl.”
“Eat a dick, Takuya.”
“With pleasure.”
She shook her head. “I never apologized to her. I never told her how much I regretted being a complete asshole.”
He touched her shoulder, and she looked up at him. “Did you stop being an asshole?”
“Yeah.”
“I think the best apology is changed behavior.” He sat on the desk. “Your Pop loved you. And she knew you loved her. After all that, what else is there?”
M.A. thought for a moment, looking off into the empty shop that smelled perpetually of the fine shampoos and conditioners they used on the clients, over to where her scissors lay covered in their case where she had left them weeks ago. There was nothing to be done, she was right in that respect. And when there is nothing to be done, at times, we can only be left with the reality of how we feel.
“I miss her.”
It was so plain that it surprised the both of them. Artless and plain, without any kind of bravado, laid out there on the counter. Takuya walked across the shop into his station, opened a drawer and pulled out a bottle of HIbiki.
“She was a hell of a person,” He put two plastic glasses in front of them, pouring, “I’m better for having known her.”
“I’ll drink to that.”
M.A. did not stop feeling guilty that day, or for a long time, for life does not work that way, and rarely affords us an instant release from that which binds us. But on that day, in a closed shop in a fancy district, she drank good whiskey from a poor cup, and cried, and took the first step toward the sun.
#AU of Mystery and Shadow#Doc that's technically a monologue and not a soliloquy#I know!#But the lyric of the narrative demands#pillory me if you must but I couldn't make monologue work

Warning: Some big spoilers for every single story part in GW2 ahead!
1. Backstory
She was born and raised in Divinity’s Reach and had a more or less protected childhood. It was always her dream to become a member of the Seraphs. But her parents died really early into her teenage years because of a bandit attack on their bakery. Then it was only her older sister and her, who had to make due by themselves. Her dream was slowly moving away from her, they had to sell the bakery and she started to work as a barmaid in one of the taverns. As she reached adulthood her sister met her future spouse and moved to Queensdale a few years later. Jona remained in Divinity’s Reach, until she spit up a bar fight between a group of Seraphs and citizens. That is when she first met Logan, her life made a full turn afterwards and she soon carried the armor of the seraphs proudly. Her name grew after she saved the Village of Shaemoor, helped her Quaggan friends and became a member of the Vigil. Still unaware of future events, her life began to enter a downward spiral as her sister got captured by the Harathi. She managed to save her just in time but after she brought her to safety she had to depart, to save Lion’s Arch from an unknown threat.
2. Zhaitan
After joining the vigil, she fell in love for the first time. It was truly magnificent for her. She wasn't on to make friends easily, so this pretty much surprised her. After she saved Lion’s Arch from the first Undead attack. The massacre of Claw Island was a blink away. Her love died on that island, she would never return to. Her anger and rage was short, but her grieving began. She went to Orr, fought the Undead and their master Zhaitan. But her heart grew empty. So many good people died there, her groll was mostly aimed at Trahearne. She could not even look him into the eyes anymore. She always wondered how he could lead so many people into their wet graves with the look of excitement on his face. But she also gave herself a load of guild too, she didn’t stop it. She knew you weren’t able to save everyone but she could have at least tried a bit harder. That was when she entered another turning point in her life. She left her friends behind and disappeared. She wanted to help people but this was not the way.
3. Mordremoth
The expedition into the Heart of Maguuma and its failure happened. She couldn't just close her eyes about the whole event, so she went to help. But not as the commander, just as a mere soldier with a new face and name. Maguuma was hard and unforgiving, she did not stay until the very end. She could not, the thought that her friends were captured and might die just because she didn't offer her help, broke her. During all this she only met Aurene only briefly one time. She made a beeline for the Shiverpeak Mountains.
4. Break
One of her sister’s friends, an old norn woman owned an abandoned homestead not far from their own. She offered it to Jona in exchange for a little help with the Dolyaks and the Sons of Svanir. Almost no one from her former life knew where she was, or if she was still alive. Until she began to exchange letters with Zojja. Who wrote her about all the things that happened in Maguuma and Trahearne’s and Eir’s death, that Logan and her were still recovering and what all her other friends were up to. They build a strong friendship over the many letters exchanged. It helped them both, to tend to old wounds and give each other a helping hand as they built themselves anew again out of their broken parts. After a while Jona made the decision to travel again, see where she could help folks out. And maybe she slowly got her mind ready to finally stop running.
5. Balthazar/Joko
With the “discovery” of The Crystal Desert and Elona her travels were bound to end up there eventually. She met her friends in a fight against the Forged and helped them out. Both sides were not really ready for the sudden meeting, but when is one ever ready for something. The climate was tense and the remaining trust only a thin strand. But Jona stayed and the old nature of their friendship started to shine through. But she was a different person now, not entirely, her essence was still the same but some parts changed. She was wiser now and more collected and ready to die for everyone. Which eventually happened by the hand of Balthazar. She didn't really mind, it was peaceful? She had to return of course, there were still things to do but it brought to her a certain comfort. She didn't have to fear death anymore. Joko, the master of the Awakened was only a mere wood lump in her way, which she stepped over easily. He was a bit funny, I think they could have been friends in another world. But her next problem wasn’t far ahead.
6. Kralkatorrik
The third elder dragon she met ate Balthazar? And she was off to fight a new threat to the world. She didn’t go by commander anymore though. She was just Lady Jona to her colleagues and subordinates. Many still called her commander of course, and just blatantly ignored her request. The title was a form of respect to them. She wondered if her suffering would ever find an end. During all of this she got finally introduced to Aurene. Aurene knew that Jona was her champion, it was supposed to be this way. But Aurene also saw that Jona would not easily be swayed into this position. It took a lot of trust and many personal talks to accept that this was her destiny. She liked Aurene, and saw her more like her little sister over time. She planned to introduce her to her older sister, once this was over. Because let’s be real, Aurene’s original family totally sucks. They deliver Kralkatorrik from his pain together. But another war was as always about to start soon.
7. Jormag
After Kralkatorrik’s defeat, the relationship between the Charr legions began to boil slowly but surely, and soon the blood legion attacked and Bengar's betrayal would let the galaxy fall into disarray. (I’m sorry) Jormag whispers weren’t far away and grew louder and louder. They wanted Jona to become their champion. Jona was prone to listen, these times would expose themself to be another straining experience on her mental wellbeing. She almost gave in a few times, would not have others been there to help her find a way through the snowstorm. Almorra’s body was discovered, another friend and lost love gone. But she was stronger this time and Aurene and Taimi got her back. Braham and her still didn't talk about Eir much but Rox grew to be a new friend and ally in dangerous situations. Gorrik turned out to be funny and she almost adopted him, she loved that little guy and would always listen when he told her about Blish. She isn't really one to hold grudges, so when she found out that Rytlock released Balthazar and Ryland was his son or that Gorrik was a former member of the Inquest she almost toppled over from laughing so hard. She even forgave Braham for blaming her for Eir’s death, even though he didn’t talk to her about it. He wasn’t so wrong after all but not justified either. But damn, did she hate Ryland.
