K like I know we live in a deranged society and all lol but when and why did it ever become socially acceptable to comment on another person’s body shape or size? I’ve been working out regularly this year to help with my insomnia and EVERY TIME my body weight changes in my life, whether it goes up or down, people somehow feel entitled to remark on that in some form or fashion. It’s not a compliment to me to be told I’m “looking good” because a) that’s not why I exercise b) did I not look good before? c) I don’t want your fucking opinion/didn’t ask. I know people think this is a compliment but it’s really problematic. For all you know I’ve lost weight cause I’m battling an ED or I’m sick with something. Same can be said for weight gain. And it’s not like I go around and tell people I’m working out everyday or something, so it is in fact a bold assumption in their part. people’s ignorance and audacity will never cease to astound me. 🤬🤬🤬

some fanart of lunacid got me to buy it this week. extremely good game, love the atmosphere. akuma kira really flexes their chops as a horror game dev to make the lighting, textures, and sound design into something special. it manages to weave dark fantasy with some rather cute npcs too, creating an air of something like a twisted fairytale world. it's really good!!

and so about the sanguine sea huh--

so i was on call while exploring the game and the mire is a total slog to begin with, full of mazelike corridors, massive rooms, and some fairly difficult enemies. i was very happy to find the level transition door just to get a change of scenery from the toxic greens and browns of the sewer-swamp.

i quickly found myself in a place that was little better.

waves of red lapped at my feet and darkness settled here like the depths of the tombs, except in a literal ocean of congealed blood. needless to say, I was muttering "oh? oh my god?" the whole time

eager to just be through to the next checkpoint-crystal and yet dragged to the darkest corners of the place by my beastly curiosity, imagine my surprise when a light I was following quickly approached me like the oncoming headlights of a ford pickup driven by a slightly tipsy uncle thanksgiving night. i was TERRIFIED as a half-familiar creature roared from the shadow. to say it was "great value titanite demon" would be a disservice but the inspiration was clear and the laddie was PISSED. heavy melee damage and blinding curse made for a terrible (for me) combo because i am infamously scared of the dark but fortuantely i am Fast As Fuck and circlestrafed the beast to death.

many many crossbow bolts later, i collected my spoils and headed off, having swore and rambled my way through that fight, only to hear a steady stomping in the middle distance. i only caught a glimpse of what was making the sound, but words can scant describe the growing horror of "is that movement out in the darkness?" to "oh MY GOD ITS MASSIVE", and honestly has been one of the most effective horror moments to date in any game

5/5, holy fuck this area was a ride lol. can't wait for the castle~

seeing a preview of this movie and all i can think of is this snow statue being steve harrington and eddie munson breaking the curse after spending the entire month of december talking to this statue while he smokes and ponders, eventually kissing it one drunken christmas eve

been watching "criminal minds" on disney+ and i just learned another term for cannibalism. 'anthropophagy', which is more of a specific term for humans– 'human eating humans' because cannibalism is a more of a generic term 'individuals of a species which consume individuals of the same species'. i was like mmkay, you really do learn new things everyday huh.

aaand, i'm loving the show so far because it's all about fbi profilers of the behavioral analysis unit in quantico virginia (yesss) and it reminded me of will graham (of course). while watching the show i can't help but think, wow it would be really amazing if will's a part of this team. and idk why i didn't see it coming but they do have an episode about a cannibal and that's when i learned the new term.

TL;DR nbc hannibal got me on chokehold so somehow, i can't help but relate every new media i consume back to it LOL

You know, I'm in a class where there are 23 girls and 4 boys.

And we've all reached this point of comfortability which is not seen in a class with more boys, like the Bio section which has wayy too much many boys.

We sit in class like we own it, all legs and no shame, I who doesn't wear a divided skirt but rather a normal skirt with cycling shorts, sit like I own the classroom. We talk openly about "girl" things, like periods, all of us be saying "Wanna see my boobs" and I think the boys are kinda used to it at this point

The biggest thing is that we no longer care for the "jhootha" or "atho" thing. Never in my past years could I ever have thought that we would be this comfortable just eating out of the same food the other person has eaten from.

I suppose i've had one or two friends I've done this with before but never like a whole entire fucking class.

I kid you not, Let me give you an example, My friend brought some homemade burgers the other day. And she being the mother grandma started distributing it to every girl around us in our class, except we didn't break any of it out, we all took a bite out of the burger, We all took a bite out of the same burger, Or the other time my friend brought french toast and she asked me to straight up take big bite out of the toast.

We all feed each other so often it's become a common thing, it can't happen that you bring a tiffin and the entire class doesn't have a bite out of it. More often than not, the person is literally feeding it to you.

This might seem normal to most people, but usually in India, unless you are really close-knit, eating someone else's "Jhootha" or "Atho" or in english as you say it, someone who has already put their mouth to something, is very frowned upon. People will be parched as fuck and still won't drink water from your bottle becuase "You already put your mouth to it".

I'm so happy that we've crossed that social boundry of Jhootha because tbh, if you love and adore people, you shouldn't think anything they touch is disgusting, even if it's their saliva.

It's fine if it is a health concern or otherwise an issue you have, but usually, it's just a stigma that stops people from reaching that level of friendly intimacy.

I know it’s really, really overshadowed by the “Strange Men” series, but… if you aren’t triggered by suicide/SA (not prevalent to the story but there’s one tiny part with attempted assault), then I recommend Uri’s game Pedestal. There’s an English release from last year and… just wow. I love twist endings, so I highly enjoyed it, but it is really dialogue-heavy (you have to ask a LOT of questions). No spoilers, but it doesn’t end the way, say, The Sandman or The Boogie Man would. Not horribly awful, but it is very bittersweet, so if you’d rather a truly feel-good end, I don’t know if you’d like it.

It just. Wow I have a lot of thoughts about it. Getting the true ending is more than a little annoying (especially without a guide) but it’s an interesting reveal.
