Heroes & Villains The DC Animated Universe - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Maxima
The ruler of the planet Almerac, Queen Maxima was obsessed with finding a suitable mate to marry her and rule the world at her side.  Shrewd, discerning and vastly powerful, Maxima was unable to find anyone whom she deemed worthy of her hand in marriage.  This changed when Maxima learned of a Kryptonian refugee who had become a great hero and champion on the planet Earth.  Impressed by this Superman, Maxima traveled to earth to deliver the happy news to the Man of Steel that he had been chosen to be her betrothed.
Superman had never heard of this Almerac and had no intention of marrying this stranger.  Maxima interpreted this as simply part of the dance of courtship and decided that she must first defeat Superman in battle so to win his hand.  Following a tremendous battle, Maxima was able to detain Superman and brought him back to Almerac.
Upon her return home, however, Maxima discovered that her enemies had used her obsession with finding a mate to orchestrate a successful coup d’état.  Superman ended up aiding Maxima in winning back her throne.  Although she still wanted him as a husband, Maxima released Superman in thanks for his assistance.
Actress Sharon Lawrence provided the voice for Maxima with the character featuring in the twenty-forth episode of the second season of Superman: The Animated Series, ‘Warrior Queen.’

These are the two most perfect frames of television ever aired.
There's a mlem. Sasha is Sashing her fingers. Jane is Grasping Maura's Thigh.
Sharon Lawrence is there too.

Ooh sounds exciting!
Tumblr media
TV Insider has learned exclusively that SAG award-winning and Emmy-nominated actress Sharon Lawrence (from the equally Western-tinged Joe Picket) is set to debut in the May 22 episode, “Witt’s End,” as a barrel raced-turned-crime boss named Joanna. Described as “a killer in Wranglers,” the only thing that surpasses the villain’s “greedy grit and tenacity is her vendetta against those that have wronged her.” Who that may be remains a mystery, but we’re betting it’s someone with in the Walker camp—especially with that ominous episode title and the above first-look at the lady in action.
Ooh! Perhaps it was Hoyt who wronged her and she has something to do with the necklace? Only one more day!
