Poor Cap (continued). His rangers and his wife have been lying to him, and the Jackal is back.

Love the callback to Stella and Augie chatting while lying down. Especially loved Augie's "August Walker." A few more years and he can add "Texas Ranger" to that introduction!

That final shot of the all the rangers at the crime scene... beautiful and heartbreaking.

Wonderful Precure Episode 22 Review - Dog Training

This episode mainly revolves around dog training and how to bond with dogs. It really reminded me of Dog Signal as it’s an anime that revolves around dog training. Other than that, it’s mainly a feel-good low stakes episode where the Precures do cute things.

I think it’s also an episode where Iroha could possibly think about her future. She just lives life peacefully, but does she have any future aspirations? Probably not. Seeing what her dog trainer acquaintance Inuzuka does could be a potential career path for her. Iroha does seem to have potential as a dog trainer, but who knows? Also, Inuzuka’s hairstyle makes her have a huge resemblance towards Bachira from Blue Lock.

You’d assume Komugi would be good at dog training since she’s so energetic and being able to transform into a human would have increased her intelligence, Unfortunately, turning into a human did not improve her IQ as she still had a dog’s intelligence but she’s also hyperactive that causes her to become scatterbrained. So no, she’s not excellent at dog sports, but that’s to be expected as she’s just a regular dog and not one trained for dog show purposes. However, I did like that Inuzuka knew that Komugi wasn’t used to commanding words, so she told Iroha to use words that Komugi would be familiar with.

I do like how Yuki’s just not impressed with Komugi at all. She mainly spends the episode being snarky and unamused towards her antics. I do like that she is utilizing the Kirarin Animals a lot better than the dog duo. The Panda’s move turns out to be glasses that can shoot out circular hypnotic beams. I also noticed she got a new human transformation animation. Before it was just her looking all grumpy when transforming from cat to human. Now, it looks like she’s being all cool.

Other than that, there’s not much in this episode, so I’ll keep this review short. Satoru brought Daifuku and it’s been a while since we saw the rabbit. I wonder if Daifuku will have a part to play in this story later on. What are your thoughts for this episode?

Something I picked up on while watching the episode that I may not have time to address in my review is that Stella seems to be under the impression that if they just find the necklace and hand it over to whoever wants it, then this will all be over.

And it may be for her. She's only really tangentially involved with this and, being a Ranger's daughter, it probably wouldn't be worth it to go after her once they have what they want.

But for Witt? For Sadie? I don't think so.

Both Witt and Sadie work for/with whoever is behind all this. Both of them are on the run and not answering their boss' calls. Witt faked his death and killed one of his co-workers. Sadie may have given bad intel about the location of the necklace. Even when it is recovered, the people behind all this may not consider it over for them.

Witt has "dead by the end" written all over him. I think they'd want to keep Sadie around longer since they made a big deal around her introduction but that doesn't mean she'll be safe.

I just have a feeling we're going to enter a "false sense of security" stage in this plot between now and the finale.

We’re in this together

Summary: when Mikey makes a portal to the prison dimension, he wasn’t expecting an additional 4 people to come out with his brother.

TW: some mentions of violence and wounds/scars.

Chapter 1: We’re doomed?

There was no hope. We’re doomed. There’s no point in this resistance anymore.

Leo realizes this and more as he asks Mikey to make a time gateway. It kills him, knowing that this will kill his brother, but Casey needs to go back.

He’ll join him soon anyway.

Mikey looks back with a smile and a wink as he crumbles, but he feels the Ninpo swirling somewhere through time. Somehow. He knows this isn’t the end, so he screams out to Leo over the loud noises of the war,

“Don’t worry big brother! We’re in this together! I promise!” Before crumbling away into nothing.

Leo is confused, but he doesn’t have time to waste, he throws Casey back into the portal, yelling for him to find the key, before charging in to fight the Krang.

‘It’s over’ He thinks, as a laser hits him. But then, somehow, an orange portal swallows him whole.

Mikey smiles at his brothers as they support him to open the portal. He can feel his and all his brothers Ninpo, including Leo’s. But he also feels more. Like his brothers have been multiplied. He shrugs it off, this is more important.

He succeeds. The portal opens.

“Took you guys long enough” Mikey hears his brother joke as he’s pulled out of the Prison dimension.

A blast pushes the Krang prime back, preventing it from escaping.

All the turtles hug, and Mikey looks at the portal he just created.

- Wait, what?

It was supposed to close.

He looks at it again….. then four body’s fall out.

“Oh mi gosh!” He exclaims, pulling away from his brothers to check on the four strangers that fell out of his portal.

Except, they weren’t strangers. He recognized every single one of them.

They looked like older versions of him and his brothers.

‘What?’

All four of them stand up slowly. They look worse for wear. The older-Leo is missing and arm, but it looks muscular, he’s been using it. The older-him looks tired, and broken. Older-Donnie has metal plating along his throat and Older-raph has a black eye. (Not a bruise, his eye is literally black)

“Am I dead?” All of them but Old-him call at the same time, before looking at eachother .

“How’d you get here? How’d I get here?!” The sane three say, once again in sync.

“I can explain.” Old-Mikey speaks.

“Please do.” Young-Donnie says.

“I believe, this is your work…well, you, with help from your family. “ the Older orange one says, looking at the younger version of him.

“Whaaaaaaa-“

He gets cut off as his older self continues.

“All the Ninpo from you, and all your brothers, combined with my and your mystic powers, hacked your portal into opening across several times and spaces, before any of us,”

He points at the older turtles , “died. I’m pretty sure it was right before too, as I remember everything up to that point.” He finishes

Older-Leo looks at him with shock.

“Is this what you meant? When you said ‘we’re in this together?’”

Older-Mikey just nods.

“Hang on.” Older-Leo states, “where’s Casey?”

“Right here sensei” Casey drops using his grappling hook.

“Glad I taught you well on dramatic entrances.” Younger-Leo mentions.

“Soooo.” Older-Raph drawls out.

“What did I miss? All three of youse was alive last I remember.”

“I also feel as if I’m missing something.” Older-Donnie agrees.

“It’s a long story, so buckle up.” Older-Mikey warns, before diving in to everything that happened in the future .

“Okay. That’s… kinda depressing.” Younger-Leo remarks.

“Yeah. The future sucked.” Casey speaks up from his location.

“Woah! Older-Leo! Your injured!” Mikey screams out, noticing the wound on his side.

“Is that what we’re calling me now? What about ‘Nardo?”

“Okay, okay we can discuss that later but INJURY!”

“Alright, we’ll take care of my injury! Jeez”

Apparently, they weren’t doomed.

One thing I really have questions about-

What, exactly, was Witt doing in Geri's house?

Like I think the obvious answer is that he was looking for something but based on the state of the house and looking back at the clips of him in there.... He wasn't really looking for anything. He was breaking glasses, throwing clothes on the floor, dumping things out of drawers, knocking over furniture and things like that.

Sure, maybe he was just in a rush. But then why was he in a rush? And why wasn't he worried about covering his tracks or anything? I mean yeah he was wearing gloves but he was making a hell of a mess.

It's almost like he was trying to make sure someone knew he'd been there. Like they were sending a message or something....
