because im a stickler for lore when i like it, i dont really abide by the popular theory of the legendary beasts being eeveelutions in their previous lives. according to the legend regarding them, they only got their typings after their revival, to symbolize the events surrounding their deaths: electric for the lightning that struck the tin tower, fire for the flames that consumed it, and water for the rain that put the fire out. meaning theyd probably be another type entirely.
