Yes, Artober was months ago. But... Anyway. I can steal a bit more time to do art, plus because I was working diligently on a project and am doing Sketch-a-Day, I'm... more motivated?

So.... here's the continuation!

For Role Swap, I imagine Relm and Shadow switching places, with choosing the dog (best boy). Poor Shadow???

Perhaps the first Faris ⨉ Shadow fanart ever. My favorite character from FFV shipped with my favorite character from FFVI. As it turns out, they even have the same MBTI personality type: both are ISTPs! 💜🖤

Apparently at least one per year I'm struck by the urge to write something unhinged, so for 2023, I went with Shadow's story from the inception of the Shadow Bandits to the collapse of Kefka's tower in the most abstract and difficult way possible. My partner beta reads for me and claimed she would "rather vote Reagan than change a word of this", so if nothing else I'll be keeping that one with me for a while.

FF6 Artober Day 18: Memento/形見

One of the cool things about being bilingual is figuring out and playing with the nuances of words. For example, "memento" could be like "souvenir" which.... would not fit the image of what the memento ring is. In the game, the relic is called 形見の指輪, [keepsake (of a deceased person)[literal: shape, see,] [ring [literal: finger, circle]]

Anyway, I learned a thing.
