I don't really have any because I didn't watch it and I don't plan on watching it either (so sorry to my girls but I simply do not have the time to watch anything beyond highlights of a relatively insignificant, probably not that entertaining game against Georgetown) but based on live box-score watching and twitter reactions, this is what I've gathered:

Good bounce-back game for the last 3 quarters? The first I guess was a pretty big mess which is a little annoying but it is what it is.

Paige and Sarah masterclass as per usual

Streets saying Ash bounce back? Idk if the box score convinced me but I'll take her seeing the ball going through the hoop.

MORGAN BREAKOUT GAME? The only thing that's tempting me to watch it and I liked hearing Geno say he was committed to getting her more minutes. I'll be watching.

Jana missing layups but got a fair amount of minutes but yeah I really don't like hearing about bigs missing layups, it's a pet peeve of mine.

Ice got benched? Love to see it, hope to see it going forward!

Writing Game 1.3: Storm

Prompt; Storm Pairing: Kaiden Alenko x Steve Rogers

Boom.

Steve places his hand against the glass of the window, imagining it rattle with the force of the sound. It doesn't. The windows are reinforced, of course. Sometimes it seems like everything is indestructible. Not that that's bad... but it doesn't help Steve's sense of reality when nothing ever seems to retain marks or scratches or even react the way he's used to.

It shouldn't bother him this much. He'll probably have to tell his therapist about it when he meets her this week - it's still astonishing to him that two hundred and thirty-eight years later, there's so much more of an understanding of the human mind. Almost more astonishing that he lives on a space station at such an incredible distance from everything he's ever known.

It's good to be back on Earth - sometimes the Citadel is a bit much. But sometimes, these moods strike him. He feels a sense of coldness, more out of pace with the present than usual.

Boom.

"Hey."

Steve gives a little start, but is thankful Kaidan doesn't acknowledge it. Kaidan walks forward, opening his arms, and Steve lets him hold him from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder.

There are just some things he never really has to worry about with Kaidan. Maybe it's both being military. Kaidan doesn't initiate contact without announcing his presence first. He's patient and careful, and Steve sees a lot of himself in the other man. And Kaidan's endless stability is the perfect complement to the inner fire and passion Steve carries.

"Watching the storm?"

"Kind of?" Steve rests his temple against Kaidan's head. "It's just... the lightning. It's so close. Right over us. And the windows don't even rattle."

Kaidan's eyes widen - Steve can feel the movement of his face. "Oh, no, should I have gotten us the soundproof windows? You weren't triggered or anything-"

Steve chuckles. "Hey, have been talking to Dr. Varma behind my back?"

Kaidan calms. "Sorry."

"I... not triggered. I guess I was just feeling a little... homesick. Everything is so... durable. It's a good thing, it's just... not like what I remember."

Kaidan's arms tighten just a little around him, in a comforting squeeze. They stand in silence for a while, watching the flashes of lightning and hearing the peals of thunder.

The clouds finally open, punctuating the crash of thunder with the staccato percussion of raindrops against the windows.

"The storm." Kaidan breathes.

"Yeah?" Steve prompts, a little confused.

"The storm's the same. No matter what, it's a buildup of energy and a sudden rebalancing of that energy. That lightning bolt is still the same process that happened way before either of us were here." Kaidan says. "I'm not saying you can't feel nostalgic or sad, but... not everything around you has changed."

Steve closes his eyes. The sound is familiar. The same thudding splash, the same rolling rumble. But something far more electrifying is part of the sensation. The feeling of strong arms around him. Of the welcome warmth of a loved one's breath against his skin. Maybe some things have changed. But not all of that is necessarily bad.

Boom.

Steve turns his head and kisses Kaidan's stubbly cheek. "You think maybe we could get back in bed?"

Kaidan grins. "I mean, cuddling is probably the objectively best way to spend a rainstorm."

"My thoughts exactly." Steve grins, quickly taking Kaidan by the hand and leading him away from the window, already feeling lighter in his heart than before.

Let me make a detour from my usual KDrama rare pairs to fangirl scream about this pairing. This show has tropes galore to make a shipper like me go squeeing to high heavens. Love this for me and the show, truly❣️

While not wholly a rare pair as this pairing from the drama itself has a number of high quality FMVs to fangirl over - and the overwhelmingly more popular ship with viewers - and there exists a tiny amount of fics in Korean, on Ao3, the fics (in English) for this pairing is basically nonexistent. A sad state of affairs, certainly, but the main female character is generally beloved, and the number of FMVs enough to tide me over for a time, so all in all, this is a very wonderful ship for me to have fun with.

Compared to some of my other rare pairs, this ship is unironically a major, major comfort! There is extremely little frustration to be had although fan content is not in abundance either. A lovely, sexy and peaceful ship 🥰🥹

Not A Dumb Way To Do It LMAO like ryuji dying to his own hubris is funny so i can overlook it. plus he comes back in dead souls so he's in limbo at this point anyway THAT'S fine. even with nishiki and mine- while ive evidently been hung up about mine's death in the past- i can at least tilt my head and go 'yeah fine. i guess' (and that's disregarding the note of mine Allegedly surviving his fall but not the main point). with aoki there's purely no reason he had to die, just felt like rgg had a quota to fill and since they didn't kill the past three *major antags of the series they had to do it with this one. had to kill another great antagonist to compensate the fact they didn't gut three average antags

7. Lots of people don’t have a favorite food drug or crime when put on the spot, but what’s a food or drink drug or crime that your OC would never turn down if someone offered it to them?

...listen the conditions under which our Vi would refuse food are extremely specific but they do exist. Depending on the variant, you might hit that faster or slower, though it varies on the person offering it to her and the circumstances surrounding it. Wereweevil Vi, specifically, will absolutely fucking not refuse food under any circumstances, but she is an outlier and most other Vis actually have a point where they'll say no.

In terms of crimes and drugs... listen, Vi has a sense of self-preservation, and people absolutely don't just hand out drugs either For Free or For No Reason. Getting her to accept doing it is the hard part, if you're not already someone she trusts - what are you, a cop? Gonna tattle on her if she takes your offer? She does, actually, have a fair amount of trust in most of the Underground Tavern regulars, and would probably take up an offer for Illegal Actions if offered, because she trusts they won't try to fuck her over and will probably be willing to back her up if worst comes to worst.

If she's being, like, offered something to try and do, and it's someone she knows, then she has pretty decent assurance that her friends won't deliberately try and kill her, but she might still want to question if it's safe for her species, whether in a "this open job offer might not actually be open to a bug where almost everyone seeing her will immediately assume she's associated with the Bee Kingdom and might report them back to the queen" way or a or "whoever made this drug has never accounted for her species in test runs and there's a solid chance of her experiencing adverse side effects from it" way.

She's not entirely naive - she knows what she's doing, she knows it might be dangerous, and she's only really willing to assume the Tavern bugs have her best interests in mind because of experience. Unless she's being paid for it, she won't take up an offer from just anyone, and she has decent confidence in not getting fucked for taking the offer.

That said... in terms of drugs, the one (1) thing that she might consider getting from Random Unlicenced Sellers She Doesn't Know would be Daydream. Chronic pain reasons, as per usual. If it's getting to autumn and times she Knows that she's gonna run into more Bad Pain Days and her usual dealer's not got enough she might go hunting for another supplier, and in that case - yeah, she'll take random handouts and shady offers, and yeah, she'll probably get fucked over for it. Probably better than lying on the floor unable to do anything due to her body swinging a fire axe into her spinal cord that makes it feel like there's a white-hot rod of metal permanently impaled into her chitin and through half of her vital organs. She might reconsider if it's particularly shady and she's with Team Snakemouth, but being in horrible pain has a way of making you abandon your previous convictions in favor of not having to endure part of your body trying to violently kill you to death by making your entire nervous system fry itself with chronic pain.

With crime if you pay her enough then she'll do basically anything but for profit-free mischief, uhh. Listen if you walk up to her in a bar and say "hey, wanna vandalize something" then she'll probably agree before asking any further questions. Some day this will bite her in the dick but she will probably only learn "plan more when vandalizing things" from it.

in reference to your FE engage buff women post: it’s extra funny to watch etie’s supports for this reason. like, she has the same skinny model as all the other female characters, but she’s constantly saying things like “I’m ripped” and commenting on other characters’ “noodle arms”. like bestie you have the same character model????

Yeah, like Etie and Panette's base battle models aren't exactly identical (Etie at least looks like she's got a normal ribcage compared to Panette who is so, so thin), but both are too thin to be considered muscular like, my god, Charlotte of Fates had more beef than these two combined and she wasn't nearly beefy enough to account for the brute strength she allegedly wielded.

Now, as soon as you start trying to switch the characters into the outfits you gain access too, then yes, the same model with maybe a few changes to the color palette was used for all the extra outfits. I just unlocked the bathing suits recently, and while I didn't flip through all the characters, I could more or less tell that all the men got the same base model (with changes to match skin tone and their personal color scheme), and I'm guessing the women as well? Again, only got far enough into the men to be like "you're all too skinny and you're all using the exact same bathing suit model, and I want to cry" bc if you're gonna go for fanservice, the least you could do is put some body variety in.

To be fair, I think the art style and direction of Engage is partly to blame (mind that's only partly) bc like, Ike's floating over here and his arm muscles just. Don't? Look right? At all? Like his biceps look like they're continually flexed, and I'm like...that's not how muscles work. If you were going to go for Ike's older, beefcake look, at least like, maintain him being a beefcake. His arms are also too skinny and wiry. I'm not saying make everyone look like Alex Louis Armstrong, but my goodness muscles are not quite that hard to draw right.

I'd like to finish this up with I spent far too many hours in an anatomy drawing class while I was working on my art degree, and after spending 15 weeks drawing nothing but skeletons, and muscles on the skeletons, (and having models come in with a wide range of body types), I have much higher standards for muscles (and body type variety in general) in art than I honestly, reasonably need to have. Therefore my bias is very much blown way out of proportion bc "I would have flunked my class turning in a design like this" is always at the back of my mind while critiquing character designs.
