I went to the 50 Years of Sesamstraße [German Sesame Street] exhibit in Hamburg Balli Stadt and aaaaaaah it was terrific. I almost cried a little. It was fantastic I swear - this was my first time seeing actual original Muppets in my life of loving them and I am still not done processing.

ma 50 éve vetítette a tévé először a Sesame Street-et minálunk. big birdnek, elmonak, ernienek és bertnek, és a többieknek: mazltov!

és mivel sosem tudtam eldönteni, melyik a kínosabb: a német, vagy az eredeti (szerettem, de közben kínos is volt, van ilyen, na!), minden jót Dave Grohllal a következő 50 évre!

Seeing ppl spread misinfo ab the German version of the show in the replies.

To clarify: the show itself never states they are married or even dating as far as I remember, in 2007 Gary Knell, the creator, said they "don't have sexualities" bc they "don't have a lower part of the body"HOWEVER in 2018 the Author Mark Saltzman did initially confirm it. But according to the Wikipedia article he has since disputed that and clarified they are based on his own relationship but he doesn't want to give them an official sexuality label. Production since also keeps expressing against a gay relationship.

From my understanding, they are Achillean in some way as they are based on the Athors own relationship. But they don't have a canon label -- partly due to how much Queer relationships are still sexualized and fetishized (hence the creators line ab them not having anything down there) making the producers scared to depict it in kids media.

It seems even the Team behind the show can't agree on their relationship because some will absolutely stand against it, whilst others say it can be seen that way / was supposed to have the undertones.
