Like I just imagine that maybe in another reality Han Joon Hwi comes across this corrupted pathetic cop Ryu Soo Yeol that keeps slipping from his hands and Ryu Soo Yeol being annoyed with this pain in the ass sarcastic kid who thinks he's such a smart guy and looking down on Ryu Soo Yeol as if he's pathetic (he is lol)

They remind me so much of Hwang Shi Mok & Seo Dong Jae. Like we need this crossover! And also hints of Hwang Shi Mok being somewhat related to Han Joon Hwi or at least working with each other and Seo Dong Jae working with Ryu Soo Yeol at the beginning as corrupted ones. They give same vibes so.

Somehow things starts becoming odd with Ryu Soo Yeol acting crazy and Han Joon Hwi gets dragged along the journey when Ryu Soo Yeol is starting to discover more about himself and his past while Han Joon Hwi has to also deal with getting targeted and also trying to figure out why Ryu Soo Yeol sometimes acts really nicely with him (that's k then) and then again becoming his old self.

But then Ryu Soo Yeol himself (when he's not K) starts becoming more naturally open with Han Joon Hwi who is surprised and he becomes more easier on him. Helping him especially when they start to discover about Ryu Soo Yeol's past. To think Han Joon Hwi who is rarely that friendly with anyone (only those he cares for) let alone someone corrupted like Ryu Soo Yeol is now actually being more soft and teasing towards him. Even helping him even when he's not sure who he should trust and what he should do. What in the world is happening?

A woman loses her phone on her way back to her countryside childhood home. Once there, she connects an old landline in hopes of finding her lost mobile, only to start receiving weird calls that seem to be from 20 years ago.

On the other side of the receiver is a girl who seems to be in danger. The Call is thrilling, sometimes scary, but also brilliantly shot, and its plot is so expertly woven. It’s a proper movie-night movie.

Narrated by the familiar voice of Jack Black, Apollo 10 ½ is a throwback story told with admirable specificity and imagination. Black plays a grown-up Stan, who looks back on his younger years with a mix of fondness and wonder: how did they get away with the things they did then? American suburbia in the 1960s was both loose and conservative, caught between a generation holding on to the reins of the earlier century and one eager to launch into the next.

Stan, as the youngest child of a big, rowdy family, gives us a charming look into the times, as well as a projection of his own fascination: Apollo 11 and the space age. He inserts himself in this monumental narrative and generously brings us along in his fantasy. Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether Stan’s recruitment by NASA is actually fact or fiction, but that’s part of the fun, especially since Stan himself doesn’t seem to mind at all.

They Cloned Tyrone is a genre-bending gem. It combines Deep State conspiracy theories with sci-fi and social commentary, all while looking like a futuristic 1970s Blaxploitation film. It’s outrageous good fun and pleasing to look at (here is a film that knows how to properly light Black actors), but there are times when it feels too far fetched. The science can get wonky and its commentary on gentrification lacking, but all is forgiven when you have such a strong trio of leads. One of the smartest things They Cloned Tyrone does is pair Boyega with Teyonah Parris, who plays the call girl Yo-yo, and Jamie Foxx, who plays the pimp Slick Charles. They have a fun-loving no-nonsense chemistry about them that makes them easy to attach to and root for. They’re also just very funny, which might be expected of Foxx but it comes as a pleasant surprise for Parris, whose popular turns in Mad Men and WandaVision prove that she’s been severely underutilized as a comic.

Director Bong Joon-ho (Snowpiercer) does something quite amazing with the $50 million budget Netflix gave him: he makes a simplistic movie. But man, is it good. Okja tells the story of a “super pig” experiment that sends genetically modified pigs to top farmers around the world. In Korea, a farmer’s granddaughter forms a special relationship with one of these super pigs (Okja). When the company who originally ran the experiment want their pig back (performances by Jake Gyllenhaal and Tilda Swinton) – the two find an ally in an animal advocacy group led by Jay (Paul Dano). This is a straightforward movie, but nevertheless it is entertaining and full of thought-provoking themes and performances from an excellent cast.

law school season 2

law school destroyed me (the actual one, but talking about the kdrama here). the only acceptable explanation that I will accept why there was no solhwi and jisolb end game is because they wanted to leave themselves room for a possible season 2. we wouldn’t get that otherwise if they confirmed the two most intriguing relationships since bok-gi and ye-seul were a given. 

c’mon, both solhwi and jisolb are so tropey. solhwi had the meetcute while jisolb has the rivals to friends to lovers trope. they are practically romcom material and in any other, literally any other kdrama, they would have been the main couple and the beta couple. the way both relationships were developed, as well as the relationships in the study group and with yangcrates and professor kim were just all so organically developed, that it would have been so easy to get explicit confirmation for both relationships.

if they ever had a season 2, they could still have the same format of giving flashbacks. the main plot could revolve in the present time when everyone are already professionals, joon hwi as a prosecutor, kang sol a as a defense attorney, kang sol b as a judge etc., while flashing back to their days in law school, maybe their graduating year since there were developments then which ties to the main case.

and it would be so amazing if the main case this time around is a murder where kang sol a is the main culprit, like all of the evidence points to her. kang sol a wasn’t even a suspect in the first season, so it would be interesting if she was the main suspect in the main case for a possible season 2. could you even imagine all of the angst and how joon hwi and professor yang would react??

they could also build on so many plot threads from the first season like seo byeong-jun calling joon hwi his son, because what if joon-hwi really was his biological son?? The whole thing with Kang Dan, the way she just disappeared seemed a bit reminiscent of a witness protection program, maybe Assemblyman Ko was just a cog in a web of corruption. Prosecutor Jin is also still active. they could flashback to kang sol a’s family history, or even professor yang’s time as a prosecutor. I mean it would also be so interesting to explore The Study Group’s bonds being tested as they wade through politics and corruption in the judiciary as law professionals this time around, instead of law students. 

Just give me season 2 please (I firmly believe, if Sweet Home can get it, then Law School can too). I need more interactions and character dynamics with everyone.

the ring scene broke my heart! junghwan looked so sad in it, god, that was so mean. but at least i'm glad he didnt die at the end? i remember people saying that could happen, and i'm very glad it didnt! you're all surrounded was such a weird show, i watched for lsg and it was fun sometimes, but mostly it was forgettable so i understand not finishing that. i never watched beating again? i love the main paring tho! speaking of which, there are any pairings you cant get over? for me it's healer

the ring scene made me sob!! it was too cruel to him!! i didn't know people were saying that!! i would've rioted if they killed him off!! yeah YAS wasn't my cup of tea at all but i know people have enjoyed that show. beating again is a very classic trope-ridden kdrama and i happen to love those kinds! so if u get the chance i highly recommend!!
