So!
I really really liked Transformers One!
The visuals were gorgeous, the characters were interesting, more under the cut
I especially liked the designs of the Quintessons, and the Quintesson ships. I liked how the ships themselves seemed like living organics up close, like some sort of massive arthropods.
I'll admit that initially learning Elita's VA had worried me, but I think Scarlett did manage to capture Elita's personality in a very interesting light— so much that I mayyyy have forgotten she was Elita's VA until the credits😅
there were so many recognizable characters in the background, but since I was. Well. In a theater and not in a place where I could pause and screenshot things I'm sure I missed quite a few Easter eggs
May I return to how much I loved the visuals??? Iacon felt alive and busy, and even though you can tell the surface was ravaged by the Quintessons it was full of so many interesting details. I fucking loved the shifting rocks and mountains
oughhh Airachnid was so cool, she gave me heavy xenomorph vibes.
I may or may not have quietly called D-16/Megatron Optimus's wife several times in the theater. I don't think my Grandma heard me as she was screwing around on her phone the majority of the time.
The transformations were pretty cool
Sentinel was the utter bastard I knew he'd be
They didn't kill the Quintessons or even directly go up against them, (which I was expecting them to go against them) which makes me think they might be saving that for a sequel or something.
LOVED THE END SEQUENCE OF D-16 FINALLY BECOMING MEGATRON AND ORION PAX BECOMING OPTIMUS PRIME, visually it was so cool
Alpha Trion's altmode was cool
I didn't expect it to have been Sentinel to scratch the first decepticon badge into Megatron's armor as a mocking gesture
Didn't expect the future decepticons to be called the High Guard, and to have their ties to the Thirteen Primes
again I loved how beautiful everything was, again and again
hehehe mild swearing in a PG movie
Probably more I can't think of right now!
Things I questioned / think could've been changed:
... I'll admit, as much as I love Megs, his character and progression from miner to leader of the decepticons felt a little out of character to me. I understand this is a new continuity with its own rules but I almost felt like Orion and D-16 should've been swapped. Idk, just an opinion. It felt very weird to hear D-16 go "mnnn but maybe we're better off as just miners, we're cogless :/", and I feel like his turn to seek violence was a bit fast.
I've seen the inclusion of Bee/B-127 as part of the original four questioned since the first trailer released, and while I liked him in the movie I do agree he might've should've been another character. Though, I'm inclined to suggest he maybe should've been Dion, and died somewhere at the end of the movie.
I'm a little disappointed we didn't get to see other possible Cybertronian cities like Tarn, Kaon, Vos, or Praxus. Idk if it'd've been realistic for them to include them, but still.
.Still not sure about Chris Hemsworth as Orion/Optimus.
Idk. I liked a lot of things about the movie, but there were a few things here and there, you know?

Late night theory’s and dumps:
TF ONE SPOILERS
What if Iacon is segregated purposefully from the rest of Cybertron? Kinda like a Cybertronian North Korea
There has to be more than just Iacon (Vos, Kaon, etc)
What if everyone outside of Iacon knew about the miners? But sentinel threatened if they said a word they wouldn’t receive any Energon?
Or worse be arrested or something?
The reason for the files in the Iacon hall of records not showing the full story is that Sentinel censored specific material.
A little thought; what if in the next movie Megatron flees with the high guard to Kaon and participates in the gladiator fights? Personally I think that would be cool.
He rallies more supporters like he did in TFP and Cyberverse and stuff.
Do you think he’d attempt to shut them down or now enjoy the violence with the high guard?
Any other small theories plz lemme know

Round One is ready!
Results will be recorded on this Google Sheet.
It is recommended that you vote on ALL of the matches, but it’s not required. If you don’t know who someone is, TFwiki is your best friend. Or you can just vote based on vibe. That works too.
This round will run for 24 hours. I will post round two the following day unless a tiebreaker is needed.
For current and future followers who want to be notified when poll updates and new rounds go live, don’t worry about getting spammed with my non-poll post and reblog notifications if you have alerts on. I found a way around it.

I wanna create an AU so so so bad with like all of the ideas I have for TF characters plus original characters!!
-Like Megatron had a sparkling(Starburst) with a seeker named Dynamite (who was previously nobility before being kicked out of his family bc he refused to bond with another Vosian), but Dynamite ended up dying in the first half of the war so Megatron had to raise this kid on his own
-Optimus and Ratchet also had a sparkling around the same time named Stretcher(they became a medic) but they ended up mutually breaking up in the middle of the war. Though they were amazing co-parents!!
-The war eventually ended because the Decepticons realise how outnumbered they were and surrendered(idk if I’d keep that, but smth along those lines that allows Megatron and Optimus to work together for fix Cybertron)
-Megs and Oppie become very much in love but deny it to everyone and take forever to date
-Dratchet and Coswave are obvi a thing bc they’re my favs
-Only Ravage and Laserbeak survived(rip the other cassettes)
-Jazz/Prowl is a thing and have been for ages
-Starscream gets to help restoring things as the lord of Vos(she’s also with Skyfire and the trine exists)
-Sentinel dies brutally(I hate him, he deserves it)
-Shockwave is actually the sweetest guy ever and him Jackie get a happily ever after
-Other og characters include: Triax, a special ops agent, and Sterio, the former lead singer of the most famous alt-rock band on Cybertron(they’re conjunx endurae)
-Megatron is so lame but very large and adorable while Optimus is more forward
-Soundwave never took the oath of silence, he just hates most bots but is very protective of those he cares for(Cosmos, the cassettes, Megatron, Shockwave)
And there’s a bunch of other stuff I’m too lazy to type out

For the hive au, is a mostly peaceful compared to the OG lore? Is there crime and civil unrest? Whether between the courts or factions or etc
In the immediate area of Hive Iacon (and Megatron’s remaining Swarm loyalists who have come to stay), conflict is quite low now that Megatron and Optimus have settled things between them and Megatron has been appointed Lord Protector of the Hive. They have joined together out of a need for shared resources and, on Optimus’ part, an urging from the Matrix and his inner court to secure his position as the new Prime (potential-to-be Magnus) of the Hive. As Sentinel had any other Prime potentiates killed before they could emerge from their second cocoons, and then fell to sickness, Optimus was in a very precarious situation that could have led to Iacon facing colony collapse or poaching from other Hives— prior to becoming more isolationist under Nova Prime and Sentinel Prime, Iacon had long been held in high regard for their gifted magic adepts and skillful healers (as well as a carefully maintained library due to the work of elder Alpha Trion) and many would be glad to take them and their knowledge in, should their community bonds crumble.
Tensions had been very high between Iacon and the Swarm in the past under Sentinel Prime’s leadership, with Sentinel as the aggressor rather than Megatron— for the most part Megatron had been very, very busy trying to quell infighting and claw back territory after his successful coup and duel to the death against Megazarak, the former leader of the Swarm and his and Galvatron’s sire. (Galvatron had previously been excommunicated and thrown out into the wastes of the Kaoni desert for her own attempt on Megazarak in Megatron’s grubhood, as she was considered mad due to her Seer abilities— the Swarm has a long history of distrust and disbelief in such things— and it would have been ‘dishonorable’ for Megazarak to kill her because of her insanity.) At current time the Swarm exists in name only; there are several different troupes and factions within that have splintered away for various reasons since that clash between Megatron and Megazarak, and the Swarm’s once ironclad grip on the Tarnish mountain range and surrounding territory (stretching from the Kaoni desert to roughly west of Tesarus) has been thoroughly broken, leading to infighting, banditry, and other conflicts.
Notable among these splintered groups are the Wyld Hunt as led by Tarn, the bastard offspring of Megatron, and Overlord’s strange wandering Circus. There’s also a bunch of idiots calling themselves the Scavengers? We don’t know what their deal is, but they’re human friendly and pretty bad at being mercenaries.
The Order of the Path are wandering pathguides and wayfinders of all sorts, who travel among various Hives and settlements to share news and, occasionally, guard caravans of travelers. Drift is one such pathguide, and travels between Iacon and Caminus regularly. Beyond the threat of ambush and bandits for large groups of travelers, there are large Voiceless (nonsentient) predators to contend with, ranging from those who are opportunistic to those who specifically predate on Fae and their kin.
There’s also the Court of Vos, which is constantly in conflict with itself, everyone around it, anyone who’s ever been tangentially involved, and probably you as well just because. Vos itself sounds constantly as if it is in argument with itself, given the concentration of the wasp population within. You will hear the buzzing before you even realize you’re within fighting distance.
The Coastal fae and their kith have very loose arrangements with each other and are typically solitary or form small pods with poorly defined territory claims. When conflict arises (which rarely occurs, as the beach dwellers and cave-lurks keep to themselves), issues are brought to Shockwave to mediate, as all are in agreement that Shockwave is the most impartial and sensible. This has nothing to do with the fact that he is also the largest. We swear.
As for the Kaon Market, it’s only a crime if you get caught. Don’t get caught.

The Planet of Cybertron
Standard brochure data log detailing the various locations of the planet Cybertron, updated version that was published by the decepticon empire one week after the invasion of Tarn:
Welcome to Cybertron! If you’re reading this, then you just arrived on the home planet of the cybertronian race. Whether you are visiting from one of our civilization’s colony worlds, returning from a deep space exploration mission, or even a non-mechanoid alien being, Cybertron welcomes you with open arms. This data gives you an overview of our planet’s great cities and natural wonders. We hope you enjoy your visit and/or stay. Till All Are One. [Due to the recent changes in government, travel from city to city will be restricted until further notice. Please provide sufficient identification if you wish for safe passage into or out of the following cities: Kaon, Tarn, Tesarus, Vos, Helex. All Hail Megatron.]
Iacon: The main capital and crowning jewel of our world. At the dawn of our kind, this vast metropolis started as a meager campfire as the thirteen primes planned their assault on the great chaos killer Unicron. Once the Age of Primes came to an end, Nova Prime began making his vision of a unified cybertronian society a reality here. The rest is history, which you can read all about at the Iacon Hall of Records, Cybertron’s largest library and archive center. The equally famous sports arenas are home to high-speed racing and thrilling games of cube. More than anything else, Iacon is best known for it’s mixing and acceptance of cybertronian cultures old and new. From titan to minicon, scientific minds to spiritual sparks, all are accepted here. Do you feel like you don’t fit in anywhere? You’ll fit right in! [After the defeat and imprisonment of the ineffectual Sentinel Prime, we hope senator Xaaron will do what is best for the city and allow decepticon forces to take command of Iacon.]
Kaon: Home to countless factories and a handful of energon mines, the city of Kaon is the industrial spark of Cybertron. If you held an ion blaster or rode in a train, there is a good chance it was manufactured here. The city’s most alluring and thrilling locations are the gladiator arenas. Watch and marvel as larger-than-life bots fight for the title of champion. [The decepticon empire is proud to announce that the construction of Darkmount prison has begun. Wardened by former senator Straxus, the facility will punish and hopefully rehabilitate those that break decepticon law.]
Tarn: The second largest city on the planet, Tarn’s culture revolves around the creation and appreciation of music in all its forms. From catchy radio tunes to dramatic orchestras, the songs and melodies that originate here are famous across the galaxy. This city spanning musical is also notable for its hospitality towards alien life, negotiation centers and cozy biome spaces for all cosmic travelers that recognize that cybertronians are more than just machines. [For the civilians that swore loyalty to the deceptions, repairs are being made to your homes. Let the first successful conquest of the decepticon empire serve as an example, disobedience and rebellion will not be tolerated.]
Vos: The city of fliers, Vos has the tallest skyscrapers ever constructed on Cybertron. Not to worry, each building is interconnected by walkable tunnels for those without aerial alt modes! While similar to Iacon in its multicultural design, Vos does have recognition in environmental research and an above average appreciation to soaring the skies. [All environmental research stations shall be configured into military air force training facilities for the decepticon seeker program, as ordered by former senator Starscream. We are also proud to announce that the new decepticon communication grid, named Stanix, will be constructed here. Newly appointed commutations officer Soundwave will operate it.]
Helex: Originally conceived as a simple marketplace for Kaon, the city of Helex has grown to be the economic center of Cybertron. Business tycoons and inventors everywhere make their start here, providing financial aid and high-quality products for both cheap spenders and high payers. Whether you’re shopping in a tiny shop or a sprawling mall, Helex will have what your looking for! [Former senator Ratbat has advised that all investments should be focused into weapons development and warship manufacturing. Invest wisely, invest in strength.]
Tesarus: While small in size, the historical imprint that Tesarus has left is quite large. This city is home to artisans and philosophers of all kinds. Art museums are filled with astonishing paintings and statues, debate halls are the battlegrounds for discussions on ethics and cybertronian values. Tesarus is also the city of entertainment! Sweeping operas depicting the lives of the original thirteen primes and thrilling blockbusters are all produced here. [Lord Megatron has declared that any art (fictional or otherwise) or debate that denounces or harshly criticizes decepticonism is to be outlawed. Former senator Scorponok shall enforce this law.]
Tyger Pax: A combination of jungle and city, Tyger Pax is the place nearly all beastformers of Cybertron call home. One walk through its streets is proof enough that the the quintesson lie that Cybertron is just a lifeless metal world is indeed a false hood. Bask in the natural beauty of the local flora and admire the strong sense of community that the city folk have. [Decepticon recruitment centers will be established in this city soon.]
Kalis: If Iacon is the flaming spark of Cybertron, then Kalis is the innermost energon that flows through the planet’s spark chamber. This city is closest to the Tagan Heights, home to the world’s biggest mineable energon deposit. As such, Kalis has the largest number of mines and power plants that keep the other cities power flowing. If you’re in need of a good paying job and don’t mind getting your chassis dirty, this is the city for you. [A higher percentage of power and mined energon crystals shall be diverted into the core five decepticon cities until further notice.]
Protohex: Quite possibly the most important city of Cybertron, Protohex is home to both the Vector Sigma supercomputer and the Well of All Sparks. It is here where newly protoformed cybertronians take their first steps and begin learning the intricacies of their race. Resplendent with academies of all types, you don’t need to be freshly forged to learn something new here! The teachers and mentors of Protohex are honored to educate all that arrive. [Megatron will respect the sacred city’s decision to be separate from the new government, so long as decepticon recruitment centers can still be established in Protohex.]
Praxus: The city of Praxus is where politics are debated, and laws are written. Conceived by Nominus Prime, citizens can voice their concerns to their senators and even run for election themselves. The Cybertron Security Force is primarily headquartered here as well, making sure everyone is safe and secure. While not the most attractive place for tourists, Praxus is a historic place that has earned a fine reputation. [Due to the resistance coming from the CSF, the decepticons will not bother with the traditional process of electing leaders.]
Crystal City: Elegant architecture and fine dining are just the top layer of the luxurious Crystal City. The brightest scientific minds of Cybertron work tirelessly here, experimenting and developing innovative technologies to make life for all cybertronians better. Everywhere on Cybertron is worth visiting, but Crystal City is a top priority for all tourists! [Should senator Bunsen refuse to relinquish his power to decepticon scientist Shockwave, Crystal City will be our next great conquest.]
Altihex: Where you forged a flyer but want a set of wheels instead? Are you unsure which race car model is right for you? Altihex is the place to go! This city is dedicated to alt mode research and fashion. Find out what environment your four wheeled alt mode is best at traversing, try out the freshly designed jet models by the best alt mode designers. There’s not a single question about alt modes that Altihex can’t answer. [New decepticon recruits are encouraged to get the intergraded weaponry upgrade here, as blaster production continues to grow to meet new demands.]
Uraya: The somber but beautiful resting place for cybertronians that went offline. Uraya has a strict culture revolving around the respect one should give the dead, letting both the actions and friends of the deceased speak for themselves. The most religious of Cybertron’s cities, this place is also home of the gateway to the planet’s core. Despite our kind’s seemingly infinite lifespans, some bots feel that they’ve seen it all and wish to return to Primus and the Allspark on their own terms. These cybertronians join with the wires and vines of the planets’s core, and given the most respect from the citizens of Uraya. [The decepticon empire shall leave Uraya to be neutral, out of respect for the fallen combatants that fought against the quintessons.]
Wild lands of Cybertron: Our homeworld is more than just metal cities. Venture into the wild lands and take in our planet’s natural splendor. Put on some rust screen and sail the vast Sea of Rust, home of the Hydrax Plateau recycling plant. Test your wilderness survival skills in the Sludge Swamps. Not ready to get your metal dirty? The Sonic Canyons and Manganese Mountains are home to handfuls of quaint towns and villages, populated with hardy locals that make living in the toughest environments look easy. [The decepticons are fully aware of Slaughter City, the mobile facility that houses illegal fight clubs and unregulated gambling. Once found, we hope the participants/residents of Slaughter City will join our cause. Refusal will be met with punishment.]
(Author’s Note: Loved TF One’s addition to Cybertron not being 100% made of metal)

Volume 3 - Post #10: Good old-fashioned shootout
Another installment in this ongoing serialized fanfic
Tumblr media
Genre: Mandalorian x Fem! Reader
Total word count: 2.6K (of 45K total in Volume 3)
Rating: Explicit - smut, language, +18 *NSFW*
__________________________________________
 X. Unlike the exclusive mooring of Vos’s yacht with HK sentinels, security lights, cameras, and sensors everywhere, the hangar bays in this section of Daiyu Spaceport, where Gwellis Bagnoro’s ship is located, are unnervingly deserted. And you definitely get the impression people are being paid to make themselves scarce. There is no legitimate reason why the corridors need to be this dark.
You’re glad for the silence, but it feels almost too quiet after the noise and chaos of the city streets.
You arrive at the hangar expecting to see the Onodone waiting for you, but there’s no one in sight. In fact, it’s eerily still without the usual maintenance crew droids.
The grim surroundings did not prepare you for the caliber of this forger’s ride. Apparently, Gwellis Bagnoro can find enough suckers like you to pay his outrageous prices because his corvette is in pristine condition. No mismatched parts for this ship.
Poor Nito usually salvaged everything needed to sustain the Razor Crest through its continual state of repair.
With containers stacked high on either side of the ship, you’d think the Onodone would need help loading all this cargo. They create a sort of labyrinth around the hangar bay. How did he expect to fit this inside a gunship?
Something feels off.
Maybe he’s just waiting for you on board? Even as the thought occurs to you, your boot catches on something soft yet solid, and you stumble forward.
Looking down to see what you’ve tripped over in the dim haze of the hangar’s overhead lights, you see a station agent crumpled on the flight deck with a knife stuck in his gut.
“Mando!” you shout.
But it’s too late. You hear a ting of blaster fire right before the fueling tank next to the ship explodes, knocking you off your feet and showering the hangar in flaming debris. You get slammed hard into the side of a cargo container from the force of the blast. Your ears are ringing, your vision is blurring at the edges, but you can still see the onslaught of blaster fire breaking out around you.
Looking over your shoulder, you see the Mandalorian, who’d managed to stay on his feet. He’s crouched, taking cover behind a diagnostic panel directly in your line of sight, loading his rifle from the bandolier across his chest.
“Is this Vos?”
“They’re Guild,” he calls out in response.
“The Crest?!”
You’re terrified about what might be waiting for you back at the ship. Mando’s precaution of leaving it docked on a nearby moon didn’t seem so paranoid after all.
“If they knew where it was, they wouldn’t be waiting for us here.”
He’s got the rifle up, adjusting the scope.
“Thermal imaging, you said?”
“What?!”
“In the visor?” he stills the muscles in his shoulders, taking aim. “You said your visor has—”
“Yes,” instantly recognizing what he’s planning. “And night vision. I can adjust the settings.”
“It impact your aim? Still good?”
“Fuck, yes. I have a laser sight,” you’re already screwing the barrel attachment onto one of the Westars.
Mando nods his approval.
With one shot, he takes out the electrical in the hangar bay so it all shuts down. The lights go out, the doors fall closed, and the docking clamps thud onto the deck. Through your visor, you can see they’ve got the high ground, hoping to pin you in place until their crew on the deck can flush you out.
If they were hunting the Child, they wouldn’t shoot to kill. They needed you alive for questioning.
Well, one of you, at least.
The Mandalorian crouches around the diagnostic panel to take aim at one of the snipers firing down on you from the catwalk overhead. You’re able to hit another gunman positioned above the cockpit. But there’s at least three more of them—two of whom are situated on top of the corvette.
Should you scale the cargo containers to get a better shot and risk exposing yourself?
“I’m going to—” you call out before you see the Gand bounty hunter launch himself over a stack of containers to bear down on the Mandalorian with a raised halberd.
Mando’s able to block it with his rifle, but his opponent continues swinging relentlessly. He catches another blow with his vambrace and kicks the legs out from under his attacker.
But the other hunters have flanked him. And there’s more blaster fire coming at him from above.
You can’t remain here, paralyzed with indecision, so you take a deep breath, sink low, and slip out from behind the container in a lunge, blaster held out in front of you.
The gods are kind. Several more hunters charge towards Mando, their backs unguarded as they pass your position. You quickly take them down before they can reach him, still grappling with his other attacker.
Unable to get off another clear shot, you begin climbing the cargo containers. It’s fucking terrifying how readily your brain reverts to autopilot—letting the adrenaline push you forward despite the threat of exposing yourself to sniper fire. You try to retain as much cover as you can, scrambling around the ship’s intake vents.
Then, you hear the ping-ping-ping of blaster bolts hitting the Beskar armor and forsake all caution, climbing with whatever handhold you can find, fingernails cracked and bleeding.
There’s a gap between the wing where you can see an opening up to one of the bounty hunters splayed across the exhaust turbine. But you’ll have to step into it to fire. If they look down at you, they’ll have a straight shot, same as you.
Your heart is pounding against your eardrums, but you have to drown out the panic and concentrate.
All you can do is prepare your grip, make sure you’re ready on the trigger, and pray they can’t see your movement in the darkness.
With your first shot, you merely clip the sniper's helmet. Shit! You can't see their body armor with thermal imaging. And you've revealed your position.
They respond by shooting wildly, a spray of bolts that erupts in every direction. Your second shot gets them in the chest, but not before their own blaster fire takes out another sniper posted on top of the ship’s sensor array.
Which meant there was only one shooter left.
You look around to check on Mando. He’s dispatched the rest of his attackers in a pile of bodies strewn across the flight deck.
That’s when a sharp, lancing pain burns across your scalp. Your hand claps over the side of your head, just above your ear, and you groan as raw, wet tissue squelches under your fingers.
That’s how close you came to dying today. You can heal from almost any wound, but not if your brain is splattered across the hangar bay.
Hot blood starts to trickle over your cheek and down your neck. You’ve gotta nail this fucker before you get too dizzy to see straight.
At the moment, you don’t feel dizzy at all. On the contrary, the pain brought everything into crisp focus.
You launch yourself off the ship and start running in sporadic bursts and turns as soon as you collide with the ground. Serpentine! You can almost hear your drill sergeant yelling it at you.
The last shooter is hiding somewhere on the other side of the hangar. You can’t be sure—but you think they’re embedded in a tangle of suspended cables and tubing. No way to climb up there without getting gunned down.
Here goes nothing.
You shoot at the ballasts holding the whole mess together, and a section of the braided cables collapses to the floor. To the credit of this bounty hunter’s strength and determination, they continue firing at you while dangling from a metal coil one-handed.
But you’ve got the advantage. All you have to do is wait for your shot from behind the safety of a cargo container. You line up the little red dot, and—there’s a nasty thud when their limp body falls to the deck.
Behind you, Mando’s whipcord fires, and hand over fist, he drags a sobbing Trandoshan hunter into his waiting blade.
“You take care of the others?” he says, wiping the knife on his boot.
“Yeah. We’ll be long gone before they regain consciousness,” you reply, clicking the safety back on and holstering your blasters.
He tilts his helmet from side to side, and an irritated sigh erupts from the modulator.
“Do no harm? I feel like you, of all people, Mando, should support the sanctity of my oath.”
“There’s a time and a place—Thulani!”
He cries out in horror when his headlamp falls over the gash sliced across the side of your head. Which stung like hell.
“Is it bad?”
“I—” his voice chokes in his throat, reaching for your chin. “I can see your skull.”
And immediately, you vomit up all five glasses of Spice liquor onto his boots.
Fortunately, he’s pretty tough—a hardcore Mandalorian, right?—and despite how disgusting you must look with sick clinging to your lips, he catches you in his arms when you stagger forward.
“Tell me what to do.”
The sound of his voice is so soothing—deep and strong. His muscular arms cradle you, one wrapped around your shoulders while the other surrounds your waist. Solid as iron but gentle, holding you tightly against his chest.
“This feels pretty good,” you sigh. “I think the adrenaline crash is just—hitting me hard. Will you, um, hold me like this until I finish healing?”
“Whatever you need. Anything.”
“I’m sorry I got vomit on you.” Ugh, so embarrassing. He would probably not be in the mood to fuck you after this. “It hasn’t even been a whole day, and I’ve already ruined the mystique.”
“Fuck the mystique. You’re alive. That’s what matters.”
You shift in his arms to find a perfect little nook for yourself. “I’m definitely seeing the advantage of a helmet now.”
He lets out a soft chuckle, “I’ve got some expertise in that area if you’re in the market.”
“Could—could you tell me how it’s going with the—”
“The gigantic gash in your scalp?” Mando scoffs, delicately tugging the visor from your face to get a better look. “I can’t see the bone anymore, but…there’s some burnt flesh...hanging…open.”
“Am I at least earning some warrior cred with this?”
“I told you you didn’t have anything to prove to me,” he says earnestly. “There’s got to be something I can do?”
“Just hold me.”
His arms tighten around you, and it feels like the only safety you have ever known.
“It’s gonna look like I’m gone for a minute,” you whisper. “But I promise I’ll still be here with you. Okay?”
He nods.
You let your head rest against his neck, then close your eyes, take a deep breath, and call upon that feeling of surety. When the "you" that was you disappeared and was subsumed by the infinite. That pulse of power surging through every fiber of your being.
Don’t let yourself get distracted by the throbbing shock of the wound as it seals shut. Or the searing heat as the tissue reconnects. Or just how thick Mando's biceps are...
All those tiny nerve endings that had to be repaired. You can’t make the hair regrow, but vanity is the least of your worries at the moment.
Okay. Yes. There. That should do it.
Now, what you really need is a fuck ton of electrolytes.
“You can let me go,” you open your eyes and smile up at the Mandalorian through your visor.
“No,” he says, pulling you closer.
“Mando, we can’t flee the scene glued together.”
“Don’t care,” he murmurs from somewhere in your thicket of blood smattered, vomit crusted hair. Aww, is the Mandalorian going soft on you?
Suddenly, the whoosh of the corvette’s boarding ramp echoes throughout the hangar, causing you both to turn and draw.
“Don’t shoot!” the Onodone inches his way down the ramp with his hands extended, the vocodor swinging from his neck. “They got here right before you did. There was nothing I could do!”
“That’s as may be,” you march up the ramp with your blaster not exactly aimed at Gwellis, though not precisely lowered either. “But I tell you what. I’m willing to let you make it up to me.”
--------------------
“I didn’t expect you’d be such a tough negotiator.”
“After he sold us out? Like hell, I was going to pay fifty-thousand fucking credits.”
“Alright, but making him hold the mirror while you stuck that needle in your eye? That’s cold-blooded.”
Without the reflective tissue, your eyes no longer glow with a violet sheen. To all the galaxy, you would appear to be an unremarkable human woman.
But Mando had been right. As you removed the guanine from your cells, it felt like stripping away your identity piece by piece. The last remaining connection to your homeworld.
The Mandalorian might have chosen to forsake that little boy, the man he would have been—but you found you couldn’t. So you’d left some tissue under the lenses in the hopes that you might be able to coax it back to regrowth. If anyone asked, you could claim the faint remaining glimmers resulted from some kind of chemical exposure.
Would Mando think you’re a fool for holding on to the past? How had he—
But he hadn’t let go of the past either.
You wouldn’t be able to see those memories if he’d really let go of who and what he was before, like he claimed. And while it might not be conscious, intentional resistance to his Creed, it proved that oaths and tenets can’t change what’s in your heart.
“Whatever,” you jeer. “He can go cry into his money.”
“We don’t know it was Gwellis,” the Mandalorian shook his head. “It could have been any one of Vos’s henchmen. Someone who recognized me at the club. Or Bril, for that matter.”
“I like Bril!” You raise an eyebrow at him. “You need more people in your life who aren't afraid to make a joke at your expense.”
His helmet turns to look at you, and you can just sense his indignation.
“If you’re rolling your eyes at me, Mando, I can’t see,” you smirk. “Besides, you had the entire populace of Daiyu City buzzing the moment you set foot planetside. You knew we would catch heat before we even made it to the club.”
And nothing has changed. Making your way back through the concourse, his gleaming armor draws the same stares and excited whispers. “Gwellis is right. Subterfuge is not ‘the Way’ of a Mandalorian. I’m beginning to think you welcome everything ending in a shootout.”
“It’s a lot more straightforward than spending the next two weeks pretending to be...” he grabs the newly made ID from your hands. “Kasya Hawat?”
“Something tells me Mandalorians don’t engage in a lot of intelligence gathering either.” You pull off the wig you wore for the ID photos and toss it in a nearby bin.
“That’s why I pay informants.”
“Touché,” you concede. “It’ll be worth it, though. We need someone on the inside, and we don’t know Ubaa Dir’s people. That could change. But for now, my circle of trust doesn’t extend past Team Razor Crest.”
This last part, you say more to yourself than the bounty hunter. You’re not exactly thrilled about the prospect of working as an exploited minion for the Tagge Corporation, living in some squatter’s settlement attached to a refinery in the middle of nowhere.
“Worth pulling out those gems embedded in your teeth?” he asks wryly.
“I’m thinking Kasya’s backstory includes working in a Zeltron pleasure house during her prodigal wanderings.” You wink at him, “I might even be able to keep the moondust hair.”

SLT: Target 2000s
Orion Pax
Faction: Autobot
Function: Dock-Worker, Archivist
“That Pax kid? Oh, he’s alright. Nothin’ too special about him. He’s a good kid, doesn’t talk much though.” -Ratchet
“Him? Oh, I can’t really say much. He’s nice, quiet, and does his job well. But, I got this feeling that he has something hanging over him.” -Springer
“Rumors say that he lived in Rodion before the Blitz. I feel sorry for him, honestly.” -Ironhide
“He can be used well.” -Sentinel Prime
Born from the hot spot in Iacon, Orion Pax was a simple kid. Raised by his caretaker Codexa, the head librarian of the Iaconian Archive, he had a relatively simple life. He worked part time as a dock worker and an archivist at the Archive. He had a best friend in Dion. That was until he met Erial, a brash, rule breaking punk. He was enamored by her. It was this meeting that would get them involved with the Anti-Government radicals know as the Ascenticons, led by a former miner, Megatron. Tensions between the Senate and the Ascenticons (which were a recognized political party) reached its peak when Megatron was nearly assassinated by the Senate. That was when the war kicked off. Megatron retaliated by attacking the dock where Orion worked. In the attack, Dion would tragically get caught in the crossfire. Orion himself barely got out alive. After the incident, Codexa had them move to Rodion. It was safe there for many years. It was during this time Orion enlisted in the Autobots. While he was in boot camp, Orion saw Erial again. While he was on deployment off-world, Rodion, along with Praxus and Vos, were wiped off the face of the planet. Once he got back to Cybertron, Orion was devastated to hear the news of his home having been destroyed. Worse still, Codexa was counted among the casualties of the blitz. After this, he signed up to go on a voyage on The Ark, helmed by Sentinel Prime. In the ladder half of that journey, Orion Pax would heed the call, and finally arise.

Alright I have a lot of thoughts about TF:One!!! [SPOILERS BELOW]
So, firstly, I loved it! There was a whole lot good about it, but I am mostly going to discuss my criticisms. Just because I have some things I don't care for/would change doesn't mean I didn't like it or don't value it as a fresh start!
My biggest issue was with giving Optimus and Megatron the exact same origin. It set up a great relationship between them, but leaves their later development a bit unfounded. So much of the reason OP and Megs have different views is because of their origin. Megatron was a miner in the pits of Kaon (sometimes Tarn in some continuities), a gladiator. He had nothing if he didn't take it himself. Orion Pax was an archivist. Not high class, but not bottom rung.
Transformers is nothing if not a class commentary. By making Optimus and Megatron complete equals you miss out on the story of Why Megatron is more willing to lead by force. He had to be forceful. Optimus didn't endure the same hardships. Optimus studied history while Megatron fought and worked day in and day out. This doesn't make one more right inherently, but it's **why** they act so differently. The movie frames it like Megatron was just angrier and more prone to violence. You lose all the threads that add nuance to the class commentary. People in oppressive regimes are more likely to act upon their oppressors. Making them equally oppressed makes Optimus seem so much more moral for wanting to overthrow Sentinel without violence.
They also made almost all the autobots shown miners, while the decepticons were the ex high guard. This was a bizarre choice to me. It made the Autobots the working folk while the Decepticons were on the outskirts, not participating actively in the society. I don't actually dislike the choice to make the Decpticon high command the ex guard. It could be super interesting. I just found it strange that no other Iacon citizens (that I saw!!) Were would-be cons.
Also!! I didn't care for Iacon being the one and only place on Cybertron pretty much. It's mentioned as a city, but it seems to be the only city there is. The movie really homogenized the planet. Where is Kaon? Vos? Vaporex? Small criticism, but I think it would have added a lot of depth to see a whole planet revolutionize rather than one city.
Ultimately, I know most of these choices were made to start the series new in an easy-to-consume format, but in doing so, they lost a lot of stuff I really valued about things like the IDW run (and even Bayverse)

Night demons brought two super-horny ideas. And this. TF: One VERY BAD ending AU. Main character death warning; punitive psychiatry warning; repressions, torture, and police brutality warning. Shit dark as hell, open the cut at your own risk.
Shortly after the footage of Sentinel supplying the Quintessons with energon starts broadcasting, the feed is cut off with the same program that Sentinel's regime used to shut down every independent media who criticized said regime and featured authors and speakers who expressed doubt in the Prime's legitimacy, the concept of primacy, Iaconian social order, the idea that some bots can be born "naturally" cogless. Media of this kind have a tendency to be tracked down and listed as dangerous and undesirable organizations spreading Quintesson and general anti-Cybertronian propaganda.
The footage is publically declared fake, generated with the purpose to destabilize Iaconian society and the unity of the Cybertronian race. All four bots involved are declared extremists and Quintessons' agents.
D-16 is sentenced to death on the same day.
Orion Pax goes to prison, where he's not allowed to have visitors and even receive correspondence. He dies a slow, painful death as a result of torture and inhumane conditions in the isolation ward. Then all evidence is destroyed, and an official statement is released, blaming his death on a congenital defect of his construction. Small civilian protest demanding to recognize Orion's death as a crime of the regime is violently smothered, a new restrictive law regarding public meetings is released.
B-127 is body-searched, and a ziploc filled with suspicious purple powder is "suddenly" found. He is sent to the institution, where he is diagnosed with schizophrenia and declared insane. He undergoes an involuntary treatment. When he is released, he still has a criminal record for extremism and drug possession, preventing him from taking his former job in the mines.
Elita-1 is lucky enough to escape. She goes to Vos, where the last spacebridge is still operating. With the help of local underground opposition activists, she is able to emigrate to Caminus, cutting all ties with her home and her friends forever. On Cybertron, she is remembered as a traitor.
Miners' barracks are searched for extremist materials, their meager stuff gets "inadvertently" destroyed in the process. Some get arrested for speaking up in Orion's defence, some for having Alpha Trion pictures and stickers. The latter never recieve a proper explanation on why material related to one of the dead Primes are "undesirable".
Airachnid gets a state reward for her invaluable service persecuting public enemies and their destructive ideas.
(Good god. This is why we stick to porn here.)

Knowing Rey doesn’t like sitting all day (and would most likely fall asleep during meetings with the senate let’s be honest), I get the feeling the new Jedi Order council is gonna consist of Ahsoka Tano, Ezra Bridger, Kata Akuna, Gungi, Appo Rancsis, and Quinlan Vos with Rey being a Sentinel or a Jedi Seeker while Jacen Syndulla is her padawan or fellow knight.
And the new HQ is either the Jedi Temple in Corusant or another reused idea from early TROS and it’s Modesta (the planet cut from TROS and is a reference to George Lucas’s birthplace, Modesto.). We all know either of these guys and gals would make a temple on some planet like Peridea or Tanalor (it’s said that there’s a strange presence there and that Cal and Merrin can feel it.)
