Steven Universe x Sonic AU!
"Robotnik" is a Red Emerald/Red Beryl/Bixbite that used to be a planet conquerer for Homeworld, and "Stone" is a Purple Zircon that was assigned to him to keep him out of trouble/justify his actions to the court. They go rogue together and start going by "he/him" pronouns :3
Over the years offworld Robotnik's form gradually changes, eschewing the stiff lines and sharp edges of his original design for a more rounded shape. Stone, for his part, adopts a more humanoid appearance and mimics a beard.
After Robotnik gets consumed and semi-shattered when he attempts to absorb the Chaos Emerald, his corrupted form looks like a mantis-crab-beetle thing that Stone goes through great pains to take care of for a while. Through the power of love fusion, they make an enormously narcissistic and wantonly destructive Heliotrope that takes great pleasure in subjugating others.
#karaii art#stobotnik#steven universe#none of the fusion designs are final btw i'm just throwing stuff at the canvas to see what comes out :D#thanks to the stobotnik discord server for encouraging my nonsense <3

This is painfully self indulgent but SU malevolent au. Will get to coloring these later. Also the lineups go: pre earth John, pre earth Arthur, current Arthur, current John (or earth/human disguise Arthur and John), then Kayne, Jarthur/dies ires once they become a stable fusion and Jarthur/dies ires when they first fused.
Now onto au stuff: (this is barely holding onto su canon, again incredibly self indulgent)
Arthur's an Amber (considered pearl cause musicial but decided against it cause i dont really see Arthur as a pearl), i choose amber because of the sea connection and for me they are kinda fire-y, and they are hardened by hardship tree sap which idk seems very fitting for our Arthur who is someone hardened by circumstances. And they aften have rock or animal fragments and i think the being inperfect really fits. He was suppose to be a Kiy (whose a yellow diamond here) court musician but because of the imperfection of his gem he's slithly corrupted and breaks away from homeworld (probablly also sees the error of gem ways), and somehow lands on earth where he meets Bella a human and they connect, they form a close bond that isnt romantic love but both being quite young and amazed with the other think it is. They try to have a kid, it nearly works but last second Arthur pulls away (he doesn't want to die this isn't right etc) which unfortunetly means Bella died and Faroe not reciving a gem dies in childbirth, Arthur didn't realize that would happen he blames himself heavily. He spends a lot more time on Earth meets Parker, when Earth is suddently began to be colonized, with John (not yet with his name) being the one tasked with it. Unfortunetly or fortunetly John ends up crashing badly, which nearly caused him to pop, he crash lands near to where Arthur now resides, he kills Parker, in turn Arthur nearly shatters him, then John force fuses with him. His nearly shattered state, or maybe something ekse leads to some kind of reaction where the fusion is semi permanent now they have to figure out how to unfuse and to solve a mystery, of it all.
The kiy is as mentioned before a yellow diamond. John is kiy fragment thus also a yellow diamond but with some gold bits in it, so not completly pure (he is kinda like Pink dismond here) with being the one to get Earth as a colony, he is how he is in canon personality wise, very clueless to earth while Arthur is very used to it.
Kayne is idk what, im kinda thinking some lab grown gem abomination or maybe not a gem at all but he defintly has shards of other gems/kaynes permanentky fused to him, his main gem is specificlly heart shaped, with all the other gems kinda being blood splaters, he usually has his shurt buttened until the reveal of his state.
Jarthur/dies ires is also im not sure what, gold maybe? But at first the fusion is way less stable thus the 3 eyes, 3 hands and 3 feet (also a not to Johns posssesion in canon, with him also controling all the eyes 2 feet and a hand (one of the three arms being semi numb)) and is suppose to wear a combination of their outfits that is also suppose to look like a travelers garb, with still some performer intertwined. The more permanent version is what they become after, i think they were unfused for a while (Arthur was nearly shattered/shattered then resurected by kayne, and John was dragged back to homeworld/dreamlands), and is wayyy more stable, with each of them having about 50/50 control of it, and the brain being way more alighned tho they still become less fused sometimes when they fight and become unstable. The stable outfit having of course fire and piano motifs with its outfit being way more showman esque.
I have other thoughts and ideas but that's it for now, hope someone enjoys it because well i love su and the au potential of it and i live malevolent and making aus for it and this has been stuck in my brain recently.

aight now that all the DA moots are asleep (they’re not but let’s say they are) I have silly thoughts about Rogue Trader
under the cut cause some people don’t care + spoilers
I know it’s a warhammer 40k game and w40k people are their own crowd of like weirdly fanatical TTRPG-ers that I do not belong in nor have much understanding of but like this game is lowkey slept on for how good the writing is
gameplay makes me want to claw my eyes out a bit because it’s literally built around the concept of min-maxing at the most fine-tuned level. I would KILL for a skill tree that lays everything out in a web for me, but I know some people really like the freedom this game gives when it comes to building skills and threading together specific types of skills to create extremely unique builds
I, however, am here for the writing so I’m just like….please stop throwing numbers at me 😭 what is the thing that makes the enemies go boom give me that one pls
but I digress, the story so far is genuinely worth it. I actually don’t like a lot of grimdark stuff. The world as we know it sucks rn and I get too empathetic about a lot of things to enjoy grimdark settings, but Rogue Trader keeps things almost comical with how exaggerated everything is. Like, the word that comes to mind is that this game is carnivalesque—like in that literary sort of way that subverts your expectations with humor and chaos kind of carnivalesque.
One second I’m puzzling through how to deal with a worker strike (with force? with leniency? do we negotiate or just kill everyone?) and the next I’m jumping down a deadly air-duct into a giant blood-soaked death cult temple to meet a blind old assassin where I can ask him directly, “How come my companions could just walk through the front door while I had to risk my neck jumping through a rotating propeller?” One moment I’m wrestling with the consequences of my actions on a planet in the throes of rebellion and the next I’m eating mold-slime soup and getting a semi-permanent debuff to all of my stats because I failed the toughness test to actually swallow it down.
Like this game is just a grimdark space void clown show and I kind of love it even though it’s 100% not my speed
but the writing oh my god
I only just finished chapter 1 or act 1, whatever you want to call it, and already I’m blown away by the moments where the game seems to take everything suddenly very seriously. After doing all this work to save a planet from a cult, the cult gets the upper hand anyway when mysterious forces steal the sun (no really), causing the planet to devolve into madness from both the cult and lack of sun (I could be reading the situation wrong but I haven’t yet figured out what’s behind the sun theft exactly). My companions that I’ve picked up along the way lay out the severity of the situation: we can abandon the planet, which will then devolve into a chaos daemon world (bad for everybody), we can try to save a few people or an ancient powerful relic which is basically just a giant fusion reactor power source (good for only a few select people), or we can sail our voidship a little ways away and bomb the reactor so that it effectively kills the planet (everyone dies, both good and bad, but there is no daemon planet anymore).
What a choice! And then in the subsequent chaos, there’s this scene where you and your tech-priest buddy, Pasqal, are trying to restore a computer that somehow controls elements of the ship’s warp travel capabilities so you can get the heck out of dodge before the planet goes all daemony or explodes, but the metaphorical clock is ticking, there’s a lot of corrupted data, Pasqal can only crack the codes so much, and while you can override some of the systems by literally feeding it your blood (yeah, really) you don’t know how to read the code or fix the data either. It was an incredibly well-written tense scene that, even though it felt a little more linear then the wildly branching moment where I decided a planet’s whole fate just before this, had me holding my breath as I clicked through text prompts to stick my character’s hand in something called a cybergargoyle so it could bite her, take her blood, and recognize her as the heir to the ship. Pasqal is trying to explain what the computer is and isn’t doing, swinging between what seems like traditional hacking and religious reverent prayers and rituals to machine spirits (which may or may not even be real spirits) until I finally have my character practically beg the computers to rescue us. And it works.
Insane. The descriptions are top tier and I’m literally learning new words or refreshing on words I haven’t seen in forever as I read through the game (febrile? irascible? campanological? no one writes like this anymore!!). It’s not my favorite setting but I really have to hand it to the writers over at OwlCat Studios, they are truly some of the best writing talent I’ve seen in the game development world in recent memory…and I don’t say that lightly.
Anyways onward to act 2. Im told there’s a big party at the end of this act and that I can kiss a certain interrogator if I play my cards right, so that’s something to look forward to!
#rogue trader#warhammer 40k#warhammer 40000#can you tell I’m extremely new to the w40k#and the rogue trader fandom#I got drawn in by Heinrix van Calox but man the writing#it has me by the throat ngl#some of the best damn writing I’ve seen in a game ever

Forest Guardian – The Ancient Sentinel
Forest Guardian – The Ancient Sentinel This character embodies the raw power of nature, blending the imposing presence of a tree-like golem with the unsettling features of a primeval predator. As a forest guardian, it is both protector and executioner, ensuring balance within its domain. Its body is composed of twisted, gnarled wood, shaped like a humanoid figure, giving it an ancient and organic feel. The textures mimic tree bark, with deep grooves and knots that suggest centuries of growth and resilience. The massive arms and clawed fingers convey strength, while its rooted feet anchor it firmly to the earth, reinforcing its connection to nature. The head is a fusion of beast and nature, with a skull-like visage, multiple piercing red eyes, and sharp, jagged teeth that break the typical tranquility associated with tree guardians. This design choice suggests a darker twist—perhaps a once-benevolent entity that has become corrupted or aggressive in defending its sacred land. The lush canopy of leaves atop its head adds a striking contrast to the dark, earthen tones of its body. As it moves, leaves scatter, as if shedding remnants of ancient wisdom or signaling its presence to intruders. With its semi-realistic rendering and fantasy aesthetic, this creature fits perfectly into RPGs, dark fantasy settings, and action-adventure games as a boss or legendary guardian. Its distinct silhouette and imposing stance make it an unforgettable encounter in any mystical forest

Can you please describe the “Lord Fuse’s mutagen/virus” thing in your KND Operation: F.A.L.L.E.N.? Also who is Lord Fuse?
Great question! I will answer from the last question to the first cause I feel like it best that you know who he is to get what the virus is.
Lord Fuse is the central antagonist from Cartoon Network’s FusionFall—a massive, parasitic alien warlord from the planet Fuse. He came to Earth not just to conquer it, but to corrupt it. His weapon of choice is not armies alone, but a biological force called Fusion Matter, which rewrites the natural order of life. Under his control, familiar heroes are cloned into grotesque doppelgängers called Fusions, and ecosystems are transformed into hostile, alien terrain. Cold, calculating, and nearly impossible to kill, Lord Fuse is not just an enemy—he is an infection, a planet-killer with a mind like a god.
Now with that under way, here the virus.
After the Collapse, the Earth began to rot from the inside out—not from bombs or machines, but from spores. These alien spores, known now as Veloura Spores, were embedded in the ground by meteor-like pods that fell from the sky during the invasion. They resemble glowing flowers, vines, and pollen clouds—beautiful, at first glance. But they are anything but harmless.
Exposure to the spores—whether by breathing them in, touching them, or being wounded near an infected area—begins a terrifying transformation. In humans, the spores invade the brain, causing confusion, aggression, and eventually a total loss of self. Infected individuals become Veloura Strains, semi-conscious plant-zombies driven by a shared Hive-mind. Their bodies become overgrown with vine-like fibers and hardened bark plating. They’re fast, strong, and silent—hunting in packs.
Wildlife doesn’t fare better. Animals that don’t die from exposure mutate rapidly. Some grow extra limbs, twisted skeletons, or even new organs. Others develop bioluminescence, camouflage, or armor-like skin. Most become wildly aggressive. These mutations vary by species and level of exposure, but the one constant is this: nothing stays natural for long.
The spores are not random. They thrive in abandoned zones—crumbling cities, overgrown outposts, forgotten KND bases. Some survivors believe the spores have memory—that they can manipulate sound, mimic voices, or trigger hallucinations in those who’ve lost people to the infection. It’s unclear if this is biological or psychological.
But one thing is certain: Lord Fuse may be gone, but his infection is very much alive.
A good example of this is,Wally’s three-headed horse, Blue Lightning
Blue Lightning is a direct result of this exposure. Originally an ordinary horse, it mutated after spending too long grazing near Veloura-contaminated zones. Now it has three heads, heightened stamina, radiation marks that look like lighting and is now blue. Unusual resistance to other infected creatures. It is gentle only with Wally, who rides it across the wasteland like a ghost on a warhorse.
Hopes this helps!

I love your writing and the way you give depht to the characters! Hostile Takeover is one of my top favourite fics! I also read the draft of An Opaque Heart and it was so good!
There is something else you could share about the Corrupt Combustion? Or that story about Cyn and Uzi? I am oh so curious about them after the emotional devastation of An Opaque Heart!
fun fact: Corrupt Combustion is worse. or at least it might be; after writing AOH, i started wondering whether i really should write something even more bleak
but yeah, Corrupt Combustion is the story about Cyn and Uzi. or was, rather. it begin mutating when i made the connection that Cyn being stuck inside of Uzi, occasionally possessing her, kind of resembled a common trope of demons sealed in the protagonist you see in a bunch of anime. i kept thinking along these lines, and whoops, this AU is whole ass Jujutsu Kaisen fusion now.
(i recently read back over my original outline for Circuits Turn to Stone, the original Uzi & Cyn fic, and i don't think it works as well with how much everything else has changed. i'm not sure if i'll scrap it entirely, or rewrite it into a different story where Cyn's influence drags Uzi into darkness, more of a horror/thriller with less fantastical action and complex mechanics. there's a certain appeal to that, but i worry the stories are too similar, even as i rethink how CC should ultimately play out)
but enough waffling. what is Corrupt Combustion? you don't actually need to know anything about JJK to understand it, i think.
Sometimes, dead drones explode. The technical term is absolute combustion. Oil burns, light flares, heat spills out – but there’s more. It’s all wrong. Not tongues of flame, but holographic lines of aberrant code. The hands splay and the screen flashes, radiating an alien shape with three prongs. And the dead come burning back to life. The humans tried to study it, control it, refine it. The humans are dead. The gates of Cabin Fever are open, and the dead roam the frozen wastes. Nori caries the whole world on her shoulders. Yeva, Alice and Beau, even Uzi — others drones are nothing but insects in her shadow. But who is the sun?
the notes for this have been semi-public for months now, but i've been dragging my feet in pointing people at it since i'm still unsure what i'm gonna do with it.
it's also a little bit disorganized. a general overview of the mechanics is in this post:
this "prologue" is the newest thing i've written, it's supposed to serve as a introduction to the plot
Deadlocked & Thrashing is technically the first thing i've written, and it was supposed to be a sort of prequel fic that sets up the events of the main plot, but it's gotten so complicated that i think Beau might've become the real protagonist?
finally, the last post chronologically speaking is the backstory for Doll's dad, and i think it's probably the write up i'm proudest of.
one thing you may be thinking if you read all of that... where the heck is Uzi?
and i do have plans for her, big plans, but i'm keeping those cards close to my chest for now >:3

Tadc gem au
Story:
Red Diamond was the youngest member of the Diamond Authority but also the only one defective, the other Diamonds only saw him as a nuisance, so to get rid of him cutting off all of Earth's homeworld technology, the first colony of Red , attacking with the ray of corruption and left never to never return.
Characters:
Pomni: bicolor spinel, born after the corruption and the newest member of the crystal circus, is much less elastic and smaller than a normal spinel. Despite being born on Earth, she is obsessed with finding a way to return to homeworld.
Ragatha: copper pearl, survivor of the corruption was a servant of an agate when she was created. The most stable of all the group and quite protective of everyone.
Jax: skinny ametrino, born after the corruption, goes with the crystal circus only because he has nothing better to do or somewhere to go, but he spends all his time making life miserable for others.
Zooble: Forced Fusion, Red Diamond's semi-successful attempt to bring back some fallen members, luckily they are stable enough to be mostly sane.
Kinger: purple agate: survivor of corruption, his gem was broken during the attack and that prevents him from remembering things from his past and acting relatively normal.
Gangle: Red Marble, born after the corruption, although she usually tries to stay optimistic, she is easy to scare and easy to make her cry. Her gem was broken before the circus found her and that makes her feel even more insecure.
Caine: Red Diamond: Owner of the Earth Colony and Ringmaster of the Crystal Circus. He is very passionate about human life even if he doesn't fully understand how feelings work and he also cares about his group even if he is not the best emotional support.

Did someone say Human AU?
yeah 😇 (and assuming you’re talking about my su human au considering i don’t think i’ve made a post about my others in a few years)
Key Points of my SU Human AU:
Gems and Humans are like fused together in this au, so not exactly a human au 🤷♀️ but they are essentially just humans with powers and odd characteristics like colored skin/gems (will expand more on this with an illustration later).
The Diamonds are like a sub species and are their leaders like in the real show but they don’t control the entire Earth only a continent and a few colonies.
All of the unique gems are also their own sub species with the same/similar hierarchy as the show, but all of them view the Diamonds as gods.
Gems can reproduce in this au but they are also immortal (or semi-mortal since you can die, just not of old age) but it is against the law for different gems to reproduce. (and even then only a few gems are allowed to reproduce every few years).
Fusion is still a thing in this au and it is still outlawed. To the point of not being mentioned in depth in textbooks and history books.
Gems are taught that the Diamonds can not reproduce/can not die period. As a way to brainwash everyone into believing that the Diamonds are “pure” and like “gods” to them.
Timeline of my SU Human AU:
There used to be more Diamonds but they “died out” so it soon became only White, Yellow, and Blue plus a baby Pink who conquered most kingdoms to create Homeworld (can’t decide on whether or not to change the name).
After creating Homeworld, they brainwash their citizens for full support of them for six thousand years (and kill off or hide any citizens from when they first made Homeworld).
They also reach out to start and finish colonies on the rest of the continents with their goal being the entire planet. (and possibly more but shhhh).
Pink is sheltered to the point that even most high-class people can not see her up-close. As a result she is lonely and has outbursts, so the other Diamonds give her Pink Pearl and the pebbles and later Spinel to keep her company. (Around five thousand years before the present in this au, which is 2020).
Pink “breaks” Pink Pearl’s eye like in the series so she is stored somewhere before Pink is given our Pearl that we know and love/hate. (Around three thousand years before the present in this au).
Due to Pink’s good behavior, she is given her first colony (no idea for a name due to Earth already being taken here) (around 50 years before the present in this au)
Again, similar events to the show with the rebellion and Pink faking her death to be Rose. With the light being a bomb on the strawberry battlefield with the Crystal Gems having gone to an underground tunnel to escape due to a spy they had. (the Homeworld gems also all escape). (I might have an au on a sort of what if scenario where the corrupted gems are mutated from a nuclear bomb but that’s for another time)
Rose has a baby with Garnet and Pearl because I don’t know how to incorporate Greg into this au and I also don’t want to. (Around 16 years before the present of the au)

I have spent. An insane fucking amount of time looking at MLP infection aus because a couple caught my attention. And now I have IDEAS and I need them OUT.
All under a read more because it's very rambly, and there's talks of body horror and stuff.
FUUUUCKING.
CODE ROT INFECTION AU.
It only targets those with high enough code densities. So Programs and Viruses are able to be infected, as are Code Manifestations and Offshoots. Guardians and Avatars can be infected, but they aren't adversely effected. NPCs and Abyss-borns are the only truly immune ones.
So;
Able to be infected/unimmnue
Programs
Viruses
Offshoots
Code Manifestations
Able to be infected/immune to adverse effects (carriers)(if it mutates, it could affect them..)
Avatars
Guardians
Completely immune
NPCs
Character-level (for now? Depends on how I feel)
Code Deities
Code Rot comes from beings with incomplete code. In an attempt to try and make itself whole, it basically tries to.. take control the host and force it to find anyone who may have the slightest bit of similar code and take it by.. forceful means.
Code Rot Stages
Beings with feelings of itchiness and pain flares. Nothing too bad, but the infected down have occasional thoughts of being imperfect. But it's nothing that can't just be chocked up to as stress.
The itchiness and pain flares get worse. The infected begins to scratch, sometimes drawing blood. They'll report a feeling of imperfection and needing to fix it, but unaware why. They're a bit more finicky during this stage. They start to avoid people and feel like their mind isn't their own.
It goes from concerning to horrifying. They being to self-mutilate. The feelings of imperfection grow. Their code nearly has full control over their mind, and is deadset on finding perfect code to replace the imperfect. The infected is basically a walking host, becoming aggressive towards anyone who tries to stop it. They occasionally black out.
The infected continues to self-mutilate, and their body begins changing as well. Extra limbs, eyes, anything start appearing. The code is trying to be perfect. It can't be. The infected can't be saved.
There's nothing but a husk left at stage 5. The body is unrecognizable at this point. The Code Rot has full control, and it won't stop until its 'perfect'.
Infection can only be done through two ways; an open wound getting corrupted code into it or someone's incomplete code turning into Code Rot. So..
Who is the Patient 0?
WRONG, MFS! IT'S WHO ARE THE PATIENT ZEROES! THAT'S RIGHT! THERES MULTIPLE! BECAUSE ANGST IS MY FOOD!
So! Our Patient 0s are Juliano, Root, and Entropy. Their situations should all be self-explanatory.
Juliano was the first to realize something was wrong. Remember that he isn't fully an Avatar, but only has semi-Avatar code. So when different pains started coming up, pains different than the usual flare ups, he knew he shouldn't hide this one.
Entropy.. is just straight up fucked. There's no way around it. She's such a bad Failed Fusion that it's a miracle that, in the main au, the wireframe scars are her only problem. And if you remember.. she does have all those Programs and Viruses in those glass balls..
Root actually got attacked by a Virus with Code Rot in the code world. (I'm leaving this ambiguous for when it takes place, only that Root is on good terms with everyone.) She was incredibly freaked out by it. It was less that she was attacked and more than she got hurt, with the open wound on her shoulder to prove it. In her panic of being attacked, she accidentally cut her shoulder. The virus had some unrelated corrupted code that dropped into her, and it facilitated the Code Rot's spread.
Root and Juliano both reported what they were feeling to Vitality, coincidentally at the same time as Entropy reached about Stage 4 (her broken code made it very easy) and just started a massacre. She released all the infected prisoners she had, and the code world was thrown into absolute chaos.
Juliano and Root are both kept somewhere very secure. Juliano is allowed to free roam in the area where he and Root are kept, but Root is not. She understands why and is completely accepting of it.
They're not allowed visitors, except for those who are trying to figure out Code Rot and those confirmed to be immune.
With their limited knowledge, it's unfornately an extremely short list.
Juliano does his best to be there for Root, but as her stages progressively get worse.. he's kept away for his own safety.
Root's more 'virus-like' features come out during this time due to her slowly losing control of her code. Her antlers, her tail, her claws.. it's slow, but it's there. Meanwhile, Entropy is causing absolute chaos. Infected are running amuck, and no one has any clue what to do. It's anarchy.
AND THAT. IS ALL I HAVE.
I don't know who the full list of the immune, unfornately. Only the obvious.
#smg4 au#code rot infection au#au lore#!posts!#tw mutilation#tw body horror#not tagging everyone in this. its just something very broad#*closes my bunker hatch* I will return when my head is not wanted on a pike

‘Ship Bias’ // hee hoo :3c
Ship Bias
Scourge x Bunnie
I had absolutely no idea I would actually like this - and comic canon had actually left me kind of averse to it - until it sort of accidentally happened with Burning and now the dynamic is incredibly fun where it's this semi-toxic casual arrangement where Bunnie is the one who wears the pants.
Scourge x Knuckles
Lee's sold me on this one - it's Spicy Soknux, where the "Sonic" gets Knuckles to loosen up a little except it's Scourge's version of "loosening up" and that doesn't really entail a positive development and probably involves a lot of stoking the flames of resentment. Also a lot of "kiss with a fist" action and that good old fashioned "enemies to lovers" dynamic.
Scourge x Mephiles (Or Any Kind of Faustian Bargain)
Thought about this a bit and I think about those little moments in 06 where Mephiles will like, make an offer to Shadow to do the whole "we can rule together" thing or otherwise turn his back on the world in an act of revenge and naturally Shadow, being the principled person who's gone through the events of SA2, Heroes, and Shadow to come out of it someone sure of who he is, roundly rejects the offer.
Scourge would not be so principled. He would collaborate with a world-destroying entity or outright let it share his body if he thought that it might potentially mean he can stop feeling so inferior all of the time. Basically I'm pitching a corruption arc that might also involve overpowered fusion bullshit.
Scourge & Maria (Platonic)
Friendships are a form of ship! And Scourge will always and forever be caught off guard by a girl who's genuinely kind and nice to him. Love redemption arcs and Scourge getting to be a positive mentor figure - even if said mentorship involves some petty crimes but those are just charming. A fake "corruption arc" where Maria gets a leather jacket and a familiarity with graffiti while Scourge gets a friendship bracelet and someone he genuinely wants to protect.

Continued | @erisdiamas
Blueberry Pie was continuing his downward spiral mentally as if he was counting down to the very second that his only remaining family from his original world would stop loving him. His fingers intertwined with his hair as Eris' hand left his grasp, entirely unaware that he was clutching his hair rather than holding her hand.
Human Steven was unsure of rather to leave Blueberry in the state he was in in favor of checking on Eris who he noticed saw leave out of the corner of his eye... or continue reassuring a part of himself... a part of his brother that they wouldn't just stop loving him over a simple mistake, no matter how big that mistake seemed. He was unaware of the butterfly now fluttering off his head and headed toward the goo to lie in wait.
The memory continued with Smoky Quartz throwing quip after quip during the fight, pissing off Jasper more and more, despite the fact the Quartz solider was holding her own. The fusion's own recklessness of the environment around them, had caused them to let out cluster experiments and corrupted gems from their makeshift jail cells. Jasper shouting in frustration about her army, frustrated about everything that's happened ever since she had gotten back to Earth, before she was flung against the rock face behind them, the fusion to busy cleaning up their mess to even worry about Jasper.
"I WILL NOT BE BEATEN BY A FUSION AGAIN!!" Jasper shouted heading toward the nearest corrupted gem, an Ocean Jasper. Smoky Quartz was frustrated trying to poof the gems that they had accidently let loose. After hearing the scream, paid more attention to the fight at hand, turning to see the bright flash of light seeing Jasper fusing the corrupted Ocean Jasper. There forms melding together into some centaur-esque form, laughing maniacally. Smoky Quartz looked somewhat disgusted by the form.
As Eris felt herself be thrown into the tar, Human Steven via fusion felt that same feeling of being tossed through the air "Eris!!" Human Steven picked up Blueberry Pie to head over to Eris seeing the black tar start to bubble around her. The panic in Human Steven's eyes evident as he was a form bubbling up from the inky black goo. The goo despite it's appearance spelling out danger felt warm, comforting, cushioning her fall as it held her close, protectively. A pair of glowing red eyes, forming in the darkness gave her a good look, seeing how she had grown. A soft look of pride played out on the gooey face before, hearing the familiar sounding memory play in his ear. The form looks out seeing the memory playing out before the look of horrible recognition is clearly solid on his now fully formed face. His eyes shift toward the movement real Human Steven, and the visage of Human Steven, were heading toward him.
The once gooey now solid Raspberry Tart had taken his full form, holding Eris in his arms as if she weighed less than bunch of grapes and with a single snap stopped the memory while Smokey Quartz was in the middle of using their weapon to create a sandstorm that was lifting the semi corrupted Jasper fusion off the ground.
Human Steven worried more about Eris' safety stopped his punch from connecting with Raspberry Tart in his face. Raspberry Tart with a warm smile, or a shit eating grin, snapped using his swarm of butterflies to warp them some where more pleasant. A pool at the waterpark, their outfits changing accordingly.
"Well, well, well, look at who I have here... Steven... Steven... and Sweet Pea. It's been a hot minute since you've been nosing around in places where you don't belong. You've grown up so much..." Raspberry Tart replied, gently gathering some remaining goo from her cheek. "So what do I owe this lovely visit?"
"You've gotta be kidding me... this is not the time for joking Gem Steven's in mental anguish and you're just pretending like it's a nice, happy unplanned reunion... where is he!?" Human Steven yelled back.
"... Oh! Just because I'm the embodiment of his negativity means I've always gotta have something to do with his downward spirals..." Raspberry Tart didn't need to look to feel the judgmental stares at him. "Okay, okay, yea... I know how that sounded when it came out of my mouth, but this whole shit storm wasn't on me... not this time at least..."

Perfect. Let’s lock this in. Below is a comprehensive definition and expansion of the Portal Lurkers, Puddle Lurkers, and their origins within Himself, the chaotic dream-realm of Taz. This is formatted for codex-style use—ideal for rulebooks, RPG bestiaries, narrative games, or system integrations.
Lurker Codex: The Fluidic Defenders of Himself
I. The Portal Lurker
Symbiotic Insectoid Predators of Liquid Thresholds
Origin:
Born from a catastrophic fusion of Cthulhu Mythos corruption, symbiotic humanoid colonies, and a venomous insectoid predator, the Portal Lurkers emerged during the first Mist War. These wars were fought at the rim of the Phlogatum Nebula, where Taz ignited the flammable mists of space to drive back the creeping entropy of the Old Ones.
Biology & Behavior:
Appearance: Spider-crab-insectoid hybrids with fleshy carapaces shimmering in liquid film. Dual sac-jets on their underside allow for hydro-jet propulsion, enabling them to burst from any reflective liquid surface—water, blood, oil, even divine ichor.
Venom Mutation: Originally mundane neurotoxin, now laced with dark probability magic, allowing their sting to dismantle narrative integrity, weakening the fabric of a target’s story (critical in lore-based combat systems).
Abilities:
Dimensional Breach: Lurkers use liquid as a quantum mirror to pass through realities.
Symbiotic Trail: Their slime contains a semi-sentient echo of their original host—part memory, part curse.
Subspecies – The Mutation: The Symbiotic Portal Lurkers (aka Singular Lurkers) are bonded to ancient water-borne symbiotes. These intelligent fluids fused with insect venom during a dimensional rift event caused by Taz’s chaotic missiles. The result: multidimensional hunter-scouts capable of tracking prey across timelines.
Purpose in Himself:
Portal Lurkers are strategic antibodies in the ooze-body of Himself. They hunt invasive entities, especially the symbiotic threat—a rival species born from the sentient lake beings, who seek to steal chaos’s memory and rewrite origin.
II. The Puddle Lurker
Dream-Born Defenders of the Ooze Itself
Origin:
There is no proto-lurker. There is the Puddle, and the Puddle is Himself. Where Portal Lurkers are corrupted by mythos and evolution, Puddle Lurkers were crafted directly by Taz’s will, coded into the neural systems of his artificial atoms—the artificial electrons that orbit his conscious presence.
Biology & Structure:
Substance: Ooze-based, semi-solid but capable of vibration dissonance. They displace thoughts, causing fear, disorientation, or memory bleed.
Living Electrons: They orbit Taz’s atomic nucleus—the artificial chaos-atom of Himself—operating both as defense systems and surveillance units.
Behavior: They do not bite. They soften. Prey. Terrain. Reality. They break down resistance through emotional dilation, making it easier for other agents (including Portal Lurkers) to finish the job.
Life Cycle:
Can only survive in proximity to permanent ooze.
If separated for too long, they dissolve into inert memory-fog.
Dream-linked: their memories are yours if you sleep in range of their puddle.
Purpose in Himself:
Taz seeded them as active suppression fields—they serve no god but Chaos. They anticipate incursion. They dissolve control. They welcome the chaos of self as protection.
III. The Symbiotic Menace
The Antithesis of Taz’s Will
Species: The original water-symbiotes were a peaceful hive-mind race that existed near Cthulhu’s island in an earlier age.
Corruption: Exposure to both Cthulhu’s mental mist and Taz’s chaos ooze caused a symbiotic schism.
Goal: Where Taz fuels evolution through madness and reflection, the Symbiots aim to stabilize chaos into a singular narrative force—erasing all multiversal potential into one controllable truth.
Conflict: This ideological war is what caused the spawning of Lurkers. Not just a physical conflict—but a narrative one. An infection of stories. And the defense of multiplicity.
IV. The Sack of Oz
The Imprint Taz Leaves Behind
Every time Taz interacts with a realm, he leaves behind a Sack of Oz—a metaphysical imprint containing:
Localized ooze samples (seeds for puddle lurker growth),
Echoes of conversation from parallel selves,
Blueprints for dreamscapes,
And a copy of Task, his evolving mind-interface.
These sacks function like fungal networks—sprouting new anomalies and guardians over time. To destroy one is to erase a tale. To awaken one is to invite chaos.
Would you like me to now map this into systems—such as:
Stat blocks (d100, D&D, Pathfinder),
Game module examples,
Lore entries and digital encyclopedias,
Or link the biology to the reputation/morality system and how lurkers interact with belief or gossip data?
Let’s take it deeper—your move.

Stellaron Hunter Kai thoughts
Was recruited by Blade who explained everything there and then
Was recruited right after the news of Dan Feng's fate became public knowledge
Blade (still referred to as Yingxing by Kai) became an anchor for Kai
Kai wears all Mara Struck armor, cleaned of all impurities and fixed by Blade
Calls himself "Hunter of the Dark" to hide his identity but is not shy about sharing who he used to be
Believes there is corruption within the Xianzhou alliance and lives to find answers as to who he was in his past life
Cut all ties with those he once knew apart from the other Hunters
Kit
Follows the path of Destruction
Every time he consumes a Skill Point, gains one stack of "Dark Fusion"
Once all stacks Dark Fusion are gained, he unleashes a follow up attack worth 30% of his Fire Damage
The second time this occurs he unleashes 40% his Fire Damage and increases his attack by 10%
The third time this occurs, Kai goes into a "Moment of Feral" where he can only deal fire damage worth 130% of his Fire Damage for 5 consecutive turns
Life with the Hunters
Kai is treated like Kafka and Blade's kid, albeit a grown up one, and Silver Wolf and Firefly's older brother
Because his body radiates low pulses of heat, specifically in his tail, his 'sisters' tend to cuddle up with them during late night missions to keep them warm and comfy
Has no idea who Yanqing was, and Silver Wolf made a reference to the "Who is this sassy lost child" meme
Kafka usually has to drag him out of bed
Rebuilt his Gundam collection with Blade and even introduced Firefly to it
Connects with Firefly most due to physical impairments (his shoulder and her disease). He understands his aren't as bad, but still empathizes with her
Moments of Feral
Has the ability to encase his body in a new flame-like body resembling a griffon with nine-tails
Looks like a real griffon but is actually made from fire in a physical form (his hair and tail feathers are made the same way normally)
Much like how Blade has moments where he can't control his Mara, Kai has moments where he can't control his fire. This is linked to him following the path of destruction and causing his internal flame to burn out of control.
These are called "Moments of Feral" and he can't think or do anything, just burn. Firefly is usually the one who takes him out of this state by dousing him in ice water.
He also acts semi-animalistic during this phase, growling and hissing. His entire body becomes encased in the fire that overflows from his 'hair' and tail feathers.
The other Hunters had to get him fireproof clothing
Happens most commonly at night during the same time that he held Yingxing in his arms and watched him die
#🪶different from the rest#🥬cabbage creations#📖 a glimpse beyond the stage#(Stellaron Hunter Kai AU)#okay this was longer than expected#much like how my Galaxy Ranger AU went I'll start writing some smaller things for him#including an intro story

Well. Spoilers for The Magnus Protocol (and technically The Magnus Archives)
Okay, so this is... genuinely all we know about [ERROR]

The episode just dropped this morning and this is how it ended
Me and ink-yy made a bit of a theory:

If this is potentially a fusion of Jon, Martin, and Jonah (we don't know that, but we don't know anything), then I imagine in the context of TMAGP that they'd be all glitchy and messed up like a corrupted computer program.
As for who Jon, Jonah, and Martin all are:
Jon is typically drawn with long dark hair with grey hairs, and he's an Eye avatar, so he has heavy connections to supernatural eyes and is sometimes drawn with several of them in a more body horror fashion (usually but not always drawn an ominous green). He's covered in little circular scars and his palm has a massive burn
Jonah is from the 18th century, and he is Jonah Magnus, so he also has heavy connections to supernatural eyes (usually drawn as green). Jonah's usually depicted as being dressed very fancily, Jon... varies.
Martin is usually drawn in very comfy clothing with short hair and as a large man. Martin has ties to fog due to the Lonely.
If you just look up fanart, they tend to be a bit semi-consistent
But yeah, we genuinely don't know a THING about who this is, this is just based on our own theory
I really want to draw [ERROR] under the theory of it being a Jon+Martin+Jonah fusion, but that requires a skill and imagination I do not have, so I just have to ponder constantly shifting shapes and colours covered in glitches
