Why Should You Take New York Self Defense Classes?
In a bustling metropolis like New York, where the energy is high and the streets are always buzzing, personal safety can sometimes be a concern. In an ever-changing world, it's essential to be prepared and equipped with the skills needed to protect yourself in unforeseen situations. This is where self-defense classes come into play. New York self-defense classes offer numerous benefits that extend beyond just learning to protect yourself physically. In this article, we'll explore the reasons why you should consider taking self-defense classes in the heart of the Big Apple.
1. Personal Safety
The most apparent and crucial reason to take Best Self Defense Classes NYC  is to enhance your personal safety. Living in a city as diverse and dynamic as New York exposes you to a wide range of situations, and knowing how to protect yourself can make a significant difference. Self-defense classes teach practical techniques that can be applied in real-life scenarios, helping you feel more secure as you go about your daily life.
2. Empowerment
Self-defense classes empower individuals by giving them the tools and confidence needed to confront challenging situations. In a city that never sleeps, being self-reliant and having the ability to defend yourself can boost your self-esteem and mental resilience. The feeling of empowerment that comes with knowing you can protect yourself can positively impact other areas of your life as well.
3. Physical Fitness
Self-defense classes provide an excellent workout. They combine strength training, cardio, and flexibility exercises to improve your physical fitness. Regular participation in these classes can lead to increased stamina, muscle tone, and overall well-being. Staying physically fit is essential for a high-energy city like New York, where you might find yourself walking, running, or taking public transportation daily.
4. Stress Relief
The fast-paced lifestyle in New York can be stressful, and self-defense classes offer an outlet for stress relief. Engaging in physical activities can reduce stress and help you find a healthy way to release pent-up tension. Learning to control your body and reactions under pressure can be a calming and empowering experience.
5. Situational Awareness
Self-defense classes emphasize the importance of situational awareness, which is vital for personal safety. You'll learn to assess your surroundings, identify potential threats, and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations. This heightened awareness can be beneficial not only for personal safety but also in your daily interactions and decision-making.
6. Conflict Resolution Skills
Self-defense isn't just about physical combat; it's also about knowing when and how to avoid confrontation. Self-defense classes often teach conflict resolution skills and de-escalation techniques, which can be invaluable in diffusing tense situations without resorting to violence. Learning to communicate effectively in conflict situations can positively impact your personal and professional life.
7. Preparedness for Emergencies
In a city as dynamic as New York, emergencies can happen at any time. Self-defense classes can teach you basic first aid and emergency response techniques, ensuring that you're prepared to assist in crisis situations, from accidents to natural disasters. Being prepared for the unexpected is a valuable life skill.
8. Community and Support
Self-defense classes offer a supportive and empowering community of like-minded individuals. In New York, where people from diverse backgrounds come together, these classes provide a sense of camaraderie and belonging. You'll have the opportunity to make new friends and share experiences with those who share your commitment to personal safety and empowerment.
Things to consider while taking self-defense classes in New York
When considering enrolling in self-defense classes in New York, it's essential to make informed choices to ensure that you find the right program that suits your needs and goals. Here are some key factors to consider:
Your Goals and Objectives: Before starting your search for self-defense classes, define your goals. Are you primarily interested in self-defense techniques, physical fitness, stress relief, or personal empowerment? Knowing what you want to achieve will help you choose the right class.
Instructor Qualifications: Research the credentials and experience of the self-defense instructor. Look for instructors who are certified in reputable self-defense systems and have experience teaching. They should be knowledgeable in both physical techniques and conflict resolution.
Class Type: There are various types of self-defense classes, including Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and more. Determine which style aligns with your interests and needs. Some classes focus more on physical combat, while others emphasize situational awareness and prevention.
Class Size: Consider the class size and the student-to-instructor ratio. Smaller classes often provide more personalized instruction, allowing you to receive more individual attention and feedback.
Class Schedule: Check the class schedule to ensure it fits your availability. New York is a city with a busy lifestyle, so finding a class that matches your daily routine is important.
Location: Choose a class that is conveniently located, whether near your home, workplace, or a location easily accessible by public transportation.
Facility and Equipment: Inspect the training facility. Ensure it's clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary safety gear and first-aid supplies. A safe and hygienic environment is essential for effective learning.
Trial Classes: Many self-defense schools offer trial classes or a free introductory session. Participating in a trial class can help you get a feel for the training style, instructor, and atmosphere before committing to a program.
Cost and Fees: Understand the cost structure, including membership fees, class fees, and any equipment or uniform costs. Consider your budget and make sure the class is financially viable.
Reputation and Reviews: Research the reputation of the self-defense school or instructor. Read online reviews and ask for recommendations from friends or acquaintances who have taken self-defense classes in New York.
Safety Measures: Inquire about the safety measures in place during classes. This includes policies for sparring, injury prevention, and emergency response. Safety should be a top priority.
Progression and Curriculum: Understand the curriculum and progression in the class. Will you be learning a variety of techniques over time, or will the class be repetitive? Ensure that the program aligns with your long-term goals.
Social Dynamics: Consider the class's atmosphere and the dynamics among students. A supportive and inclusive environment can enhance the learning experience.
Legal Considerations: Be aware of the legal implications of self-defense. Understand your rights and responsibilities in self-defense situations. Some self-defense classes cover legal aspects and ethical considerations.
Your Health and Physical Condition: Assess your own health and physical condition. Inform the instructor of any medical conditions or limitations, so they can tailor the training to your needs and ensure your safety.
Remember that self-defense is a valuable skill that can enhance your personal safety and overall well-being. Choosing the right self-defense class in New York is a crucial step toward achieving your goals and developing the skills you need to protect yourself and others.
In conclusion, taking self-defense classes in New York is not just about learning to protect yourself physically; it's about enhancing personal safety, building confidence, staying physically fit, relieving stress, and acquiring valuable life skills. These classes equip you to face the challenges of urban life while fostering a sense of empowerment and community. So, whether you're a resident or a visitor to the city that never sleeps, consider enrolling in New York self-defense classes to enhance your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Your personal safety and peace of mind are worth the investment.

Does Krav Maga help in developing your overall personality?
Krav Maga is an Israeli combat form that is now more prevalent as a mass self-defense technique. I took personal training from the Krav Maga Experts, and there were tremendous changes in my overall personality, helping me get closer to a better version of myself. I started focusing on my natural instincts and became more confident outside.

movie!fiyero x gn!reader, 2.2k words summary: the reader, rather anxious and studious, finds their self head-over-heels with none other than fiyero, supposed boyfriend to galinda upland. to placate this, they somewhat agree to meet him at the ozdust ballroom. a/n: YOU pronouns are used to address the reader, but there is no usage of y/n. just watched the movie today. tried to find a fic, couldn't. here I am writing one instead. reader worries a lot. so me. you're welcome. also, I'm going into this blind. I have unfortunately never seen the actual musical (downsides to living in the middle of nowhere) so I'm only going off based on wikis and the movie. it should be gn as I read through it like... five different times, but please let me know if I missed something!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Breathtaking. That's what he was. But could you truly refer to a man like him as breathtaking?
The very features that graced his face were absolutely mesmerizing, and you felt like a fool watching him at times. How could you not? He seemed so full of life, so full of... well, not a care in the world, really. It was as if he brushed everything off of his shoulders without hesitation.
You could only wished you were the same way.
No cares, no worries. How lovely that would have been.
No, you hold onto the things that happen to you as if you have no other way to live. You hold grudges, you think over things that happened years ago that no one could possibly remember.
For someone who wished to be a sorcerer, you had a hard time simply letting things go. Your emotions often got the better of you, even when you knew better. Even when you wished it could be the opposite. But perhaps that was the way of the world.
Not a man in Oz could tell you otherwise.
Books in hands, you crossed the path to your dormitory, brows cinched together in mild concentration.
You had a project in your history class, and an extensive paper to complete on the study of mathematics—of all the things you could have had, a paper in mathematics. You'd rather perform magic in front of the entire student body, but you couldn't.
As you walked, you heard your name come from behind you. Eyes flicker back, a soft frown on your lips. You see him—Fiyero. The one fool you meant to avoid with all the gumption within you.
You'd melt just being near him.
"Fiyero," you softly greet.
He gave you a charming smile, coming up to walk with you. "Heading back already?" he asked.
"I am."
"Working on the project, hm? We could work on it together if you'd like. I'm sure our minds could do wonders," he said, a playful wink coming from him.
"I'm fine," you simply said.
He blinked slowly, but his smile never wavered. "Come now," he said, your name leaving his lips rather sweetly. "Surely you're not going to spend the rest of your evening alone. Why don't you come to Ozdust tonight?"
You looked back at him, frowning. "Ozdust. Me. I don't think so, Fiyero."
"And why not? I'm sure you'd be as dashing as ever."
You stopped in your steps, eyes searching his for but a moment. "Dashing. Are you in earnest, Fiyero?"
"Yes," he said, smiling.
"And what of Galinda? You'll be with her. Why invite me?"
"She doesn't need to know. It's not her business," he said. "Besides, she will be busy with Elphaba. I'd much rather spend time with you."
"And I think you're just pulling my leg," you said defensively. You crossed your arms over your chest, careful to keep your books close.
"Pulling your leg? I haven't even touched you," he said, a cheeky grin on his lips. "Come now, don't play coy. You should come."
"And if I do?"
"Then I'll be quite happy."
You rolled your eyes and went to walk away.
A hand wrapped around your bicep, and you paused, glancing over your shoulder at him.
His eyes widened a bit and he dropped his hand, albeit hesitantly. Perhaps he didn't think he would actually reach out to you. He cleared his throat.
"I really would like you to be there. You'll have the time of your life."
"The time of my life," you repeated. "I don't think you realize how much I dread parties."
"Have you ever been to one?"
"No."
"Then how do you know you dread them?"
"I just know," you said. "I feel it in my bones. I know going will just get on my nerves."
He scoffed, placing his hands on his hips. "I think you're foolish for that," he said. "Come on. What are you losing? A couple hours to work on a project that you know you could finish in a morning session? You'll be fine. Come to the Ozdust tonight. I'll show you a good time."
You clenched your jaw. "I don't want—"
"—I would like you to be there. That is all. I won't ask again." He gave you another small smile before he looked away. "I'll see you around. Perhaps tonight?"
You stared him down. He would like to see you there? Was he being honest? And what of Galinda? Would he be going behind her back? Wasn't he madly in love with her, or something? Or was it the other way around?
He said your name once more, and you looked up at him, letting out a soft sigh.
"Right. Perhaps tonight," you softly said.
The smile on his lips was rather... hopeful than anything else. There wasn't anything smarmy by it. He seemed as genuine as the glint in his eye—the one he used when he spoke with anyone he trusted. At least, you hoped so.
Tumblr media
The night came quickly as you finished up your outfit—one you would hope you didn't look completely foolish in. The color you chose seemed to fit well with almost anything, but you still worried. You always worried about something.
Time was of the essence. You weren't even supposed to leave Shiz University's campus, but here you were, sneaking like some scoundrel.
Well, perhaps you were, listening to the requests of a man who already had a girlfriend—a fantastically beautiful one at that.
But you paid no mind. You did what you could, and soon, you found yourself walking down the steps of the Ozdust Ballroom.
Never had you been in a place like this. It was almost... breathtaking, had it not been for the overpowering smells of perfume and some kind of drink wafting from the bar. Your eyes flitted from patron to patron until you finally spotted him—Fiyero.
He looked just as handsome as ever.
Good Oz, what in the world were you doing? This was foolish.
You took a step back, staring at Fiyero for a moment as he spoke with another man, drink in hand. You needed to leave. This was ridiculous. You were ridiculous! Never in a thousand years would you ever imagine yourself to do such a thing—
"You made it!"
Fiyero's voice rang out above the music.
You look to him, eyebrows furrowed in frustration. Because of course he saw you as soon as you had decided to leave.
Fiyero smiled and made his way to you, taking your hands in his, drink left with the confused man behind him. Surely he didn't just up and leave in the middle of his conversation.
You part your lips and go to speak, but to your dismay, Fiyero is instant.
"I was afraid you had changed your mind," he said. "You look ravishing, darling."
Your eyes widened. Ravishing? You'd been called many things in your life, but never ravishing.
"Galinda couldn't make it?" you asked.
"Wha—no, she couldn't. But what of it? I didn't ask her to the Ozdust, I asked you. I'm glad to see your face."
Warmth blossomed in your cheeks as you watched him. "Fiyero, please... I shouldn't be here."
"Oh, nonsense," he said, grinning all the while. "Come. Dance with me."
"But I don't—"
"—do not say you don't dance. I can teach you."
"Teach me?"
"It's as easy as breathing," he said.
"For you, maybe, but not for—"
"—humor me," he said, smiling.
You pursed your lips. Of course he had to give you that charming smile and the sweet bat of his eyelashes.
"I do not dance," you repeated.
"I think I will be the judge of that."
He grabbed your hands once more and pulled you out into the ballroom floor, smiling all the while.
"You'll be a natural. I can just see it."
"I feel like if I were a natural, you wouldn't have to teach me," you said, gasping as he pulled you close to his chest. His face was dangerously close to yours, his eyes flickering from your eyes to your lips.
"You know," he began, eyes flickering back to your eyes. "We all start somewhere, do we not? You should know that better than anyone."
"What? What does that—"
He interrupted you by spinning you by your arm, back into his embrace. The music was rather ambient, not quite one for dancing so enthusiastically, but Fiyero embraced it. Hand to your hand, face close to your face.
"See? A natural."
"You merely spun me around, Fiyero. Do not be foolish."
"You could have fell flat on your face," he said, a boyish grin evident on his lips.
"Stop looking at me like that," you defiantly said. "You are far too close to me for my liking."
"Oh, feisty, are we?" he asked, moving his body along to the music and forcing you to go along, too. You nearly stepped on his toes several times. "I do not think there is anything wrong with the way I'm looking at you. You're rather breathtaking, if I may."
Breathtaking. The same way you had described him only hours before. He wasn't a mind reader, was he?
No.
Of course not. That was foolish. He was merely a man. Nothing of great importance—no power within him other than the power he held in every single eyelash as they batted down at you, making you melt over and over again.
"What of Galinda?" you repeated.
"What of her?"
"You shouldn't be calling someone who isn't yours breathtaking. It's quite..."
"There is nothing wrong with admiring the beauty in front of me," he said, your name playfully leaving his tongue. "Look at me. Galinda and I are only friends."
You rolled your eyes. "Do not lie to me."
His eyes widened a bit. "Lie? I do not lie. We are friends and nothing more. Though I do believe she thinks differently..."
"She must," you said, huffing softly.
"But that does not make it true. I have eyes for someone else."
"Eyes for someone else?"
He tilted his head once more. He was rather endearing when he did that.
"Who did I ask to their very first party?" he asked, smiling. "It's quite a feat, isn't it? Afraid you wouldn't show, and then you do, questioning me and everything I stand for, hm?"
Warmth found its way to your cheeks once more. You looked away from him. With the crescendo of the music, Fiyero pulled you closer, fingers lacing with yours. His lips hover dangerously close to yours.
"You know, if you would just give it a chance, perhaps you and I could make some magic of our own."
You let out a curt laugh. "You—oh, good Oz, I hope you never use that line on anyone! Has that worked for you before?"
He gave a cheeky smile. "It seems like it's working on you."
"Absolutely not!"
"Not even a little!"
"No!"
His smile only seemed to grow. "Truly?"
You looked away, swallowing thickly. "I mean... no. Not even a little. Not at all."
"You're lying," he said.
"I am not."
"I do think I know what I'm talking about," he said, leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss to the soft skin of your cheek. "Come now," he said. "Stop with the lies."
You looked up at him, a soft huff escaping you.
"Fine. I lied. It may or may not be working. But it's not just because of what you said."
"Oh? Are you saying you like me for more than my suave words?"
"Suave words? Who in Oz said they were suave?"
He just smiled, his eyes flickering to your lips once more. "Do you think instead of just a dance, I could try something more?"
"Try what?"
"I think you know."
You blinked slowly at him, your fingers gently gripping onto his tunic. Your lips part in mild surprise, but you realize that you shouldn't have been. He'd been eyeing you the entire evening.
"Very well," you softly said.
"Wonderful," he replied, and in a swift motion, he pressed his lips to yours. It was short as he pulled back almost as soon as he had kissed you, but it was enough to keep you wanting more.
"Fiyero, that wasn't—"
"—come with me," he softly said, lacing his fingers with yours once more. "Somewhere without so many prying eyes, yes?"
Your answer was almost instant: "Yes."
Fiyero led you back up the staircase, and he didn't look back once at the ballroom.
"Where are we going?" you asked.
"Somewhere where I can see you and only you," he said. "If that's alright."
"Oh," you softly said. "Yes. That's alright."
"Then follow me," he said. "Do you trust me?"
You smiled sincerely for one of the first times in the evening. Did you trust him? What kind of foolish question was that? If you had the chance, you'd do whatever he'd ask of you. You found your answer rather quickly, knowing within yourself that it was far truer than any other statement you had ever uttered.
"With all the power in Oz."

Portgas D. Ace Headcanons 01
Excuse me Oda-sensei, but that 40 year old Ace is simply criminal. Thank you so much for blessing us with him
Anyway! Have some Husband!Ace headcanons For more Ace content please head to my Tumblr MasterList
Tumblr media
Ace is, respectfully, a huge simp for his wife
To the extent that the Whitebeard crew straight up jokingly awarded him with a “Biggest Wife Simp” Award
They made it look official and had Whitebeard sign it and everything. There's even a stamp.
Ace has it framed and hung proudly on the wall next to your bachelor’s degree / college diploma / degree in general.
I feel like despite his own personal insecurities, Ace still manages to be an amazing father
I imagine Ace originally setting out for like one or two kiddos at most (because y'know...what if he's not good enough) and ending up with 3 or 4 kids
Thing is, that’s both your faults.
Ace is tender and goofy with his kids, and he’s so friggin caring: to the extent that…well wouldn’t it be neat to see him with maybe another 2 or 3 kiddos of his own?
(Your husband is hot okay?)
In his case, he swears you have a unique glow about you when you’re pregnant. But more than that when he sees you with your first born, he suddenly wants a big family with you.
I imagine his kids are an eldest son, then his princess, then the youngest boy who takes after his uncle Luffy.
His kids aren’t parentified. He keeps his issues far, far, away from them. Besides, he’s got you by his side.
He was dedicated to making sure they got as much playtime as possible.
He heard about learning through play, and he is DEDICATED to doing that as much as possible
Ace’s kids are spoiled with affection, but not spoiled brats.
While it’s true he’d give them the world, he’d rather let them go get it themselves.
For example: when they asked for a tree house, he gave them the greenlight immediately.
But they had to build it themselves.
It was a super fun project lasting a little over two months with the whole family involved.
Oh and the Whitebeard crew helped too.
It took a while to get the design down initially, then the shopping logistics and whatnot (they used a lot of math here - see education via play)
Building the thing took maybe a weekend or two because the Whitebeard Crew and even the Strawhats came over to help
(It was mostly Franky and Usopp doing work, Sanji was cooking with Thatch)
Uncle Luffy was not allowed near the construction zone after an accident.
They almost destroyed the tree house with their partying once
Ace’s kids were not happy and no one was allowed in the backyard for the rest of the night
He makes sure they have proper manners and self-defense skills
You had to help out here, no lie.
He admitted he needed your help, especially after a dinner with Garp where Makino tagged along to see Ace again
He puts all of his kids into martial arts classes
especially his princess - he’s so proud of her when she beats up bullies
He’s not great at discipline though to be honest. He probably goes about it similarly to Garp.
Ace will not tolerate any of his kids being nasty to their mother. No matter the phase.
You will have to hold him back if you want to let them get their frustration off their chest.
He’ll let them talk, but you’ll have to keep a hand on him somewhere, his arm, his hand, his knee, his shoulder, his back and rub soothing circles
Let’s just say, “talk shit, get hit,” is Ace’s attitude towards anyone being demeaning towards you (more so with adults, not his kids, but that's why they get a scolding)
"Ace my love" (he melts every time you call him that) "the kids’ll start thinking you love me more than them if you do that"
"My kids won’t disrespect their mother though!"
"They’re just venting darling, and when they say or do something that violates my boundaries, I'll be sure to reinforce it. Lead by example right?"
If they ever feel like pissing Ace off for fun they can just say something kinda not nice about you and he'll get mad and they'll flee from him giggling like the little gremlins they are
Ace is veeeeeeeeerry physically affectionate and he isn’t shy about it at all.
At gatherings with the Whitebeard family, he will gladly seat you in his lap, he will happily hug you as you are seated.
His arm is on your waist most of the time.
They tease him to make him tone it down, he does not.
He, in fact, dials it up. Turns up the heat lol.
You have kids? Not in front of them? What do you mean, not in front of the kids? It’s important they know just how much he loves their mama!
So he will continue to be playful with his hugs and kisses and other displays of affection.
It’s nothing too over the top. Just hugs and quick pecks wherever.
Your entire head is fair game for his smooches, your arms (he loves kissing your pulse and then making eye contact, sneaky guy that he is), your shoulders.
Maybe lifting you and spinning you around. Cuddles. Little bites.
He will play-wrestle his kids to “fight” them over getting to cuddle you, and then he’ll just put all his weight on all of you in a group cuddle
Just to let you know, your kids also receive all the warmth and love of his affections.
When his sons are still tiny and adorable, he smooches them all over. The kisses grow less frequent as they grow older, but the hugs do not stop.
Oh no, hugs galore.
Ace still pecks his little princess on her forehead though
When they’re all under ten he’ll wrap them in a hug (after he chased them down and caught them so they’re laughing and screaming) and start smooching their cheeks while they laugh and try to get out of his grasp
Also yes she’s his princess, but that girl has no problem throwing a fully grown man twice her size around, he made sure of it.
I reiterate: Ace is not remotely shy about displays of affection
Like his eldest could have a friend over, and Ace would still launch a full scale hug attack using the rest of his troops (daughter/youngest)
It's complete with screeching, screaming, and a lot of laughter
His kids used to get teased for it, but it didn’t take more than a few conversations for them to instead jeer at the kids that teased them.
"You’re all jealous your parents don’t love you like ours do"
"How sad, your parents don't hug and kiss you"
Their dad, grandpa, uncle - uncles really, are all gremlins - it's in their DNA
The kids are really physically affectionate with each other as a result
Deadass they’ll be kicking the shit out of each other one second and the next they’ll be all cuddled and huddled up playing Mario Kart or something
Ace is his kids’ hero.
His sons aspire to have his level of fitness.
His daughter, when she’s older, uses him as a standard for dating
You're relieved
Ace is touched and a touch nervous, because he is aware of his shortcomings, though he works hard to keep improving
Of course when you look at him, a twinkle in your eyes, and tell him, “I’m so proud of her, I’m so proud of you!” He feels better
When you continue: “if she can find a guy like you, who cherishes her as much as you cherish me, I’d be so happy.”
Ace loves you so much he swears

Yuu's Overblot, Part Three!
The final chapter, the end to this triage of angst and stuff! Yippeeeeee!
- - ┈┈∘┈˃̶༒˂̶┈∘┈┈ - -
"Hey, YN!" Chirped one of the students in your Alchemy class, leaning across the table to give you an award-winning smile. He had short hair, nearing a buzzcut, allowing his ears to twitch and move freely- what was he, a jackal beastman?- and wore a Savanaclaw uniform. "You wanna be partners for this assignment?"
You forced down a groan, knowing this guy's habit of partnering up with you for projects and leaving you high-and-dry to do all the work yourself. Before you could reply, you felt a hand gently rest itself on your shoulder.
"Actually, they said before class that we could partner up." You glanced up to see Jade, giving a tight-lipped smile at the Savanaclaw boy.
"How's about you and me partner up, Sunfish?" Floyd asked with a wide grin, appearing out of nowhere and squatting down to be eye-to-eye with the boy. Without waiting for a response, he wrapped an arm around the students and began to drag him away, the Savanaclaw boy whining fearfully as his tail tucked between his legs.
You leaned back in your chair to look up at Jade, eyebrow raising "Sunfish?"
"They're useless creatures who are rather ugly..." Jade chuckled, putting a hand over his mouth "My dear brother enjoys putting the nomer on creatures he finds unsavory."
"You guys are nuts," You chuckled. They weren't even in this class with you, since they weren't Freshmen. But lately, they had a tendency to show up whenever you needed it most. Especially when it came to classmates wanting to use you to do their work for them. But sometimes they weren't there....which gave you a perfect opportunity to practice on saying no to any students.
But you'd be lying if you said you didn't find it entertaining to watch the tweels use their powers of being terrifying for your benefit.
---
Everything was getting better.
All of your friends- even the Housewardens you weren't on the best speaking terms with- began working harder to make your life easier. Riddle made sure you understood all of your assignments, and helped you learn new studying techniques. Trey baked you goodies. Cater helped you learn more about the world through social media. Ace and Deuce were more supportive and protective of you. Leona, Ruggie, and Jack all made sure that you had a room available in Savanaclaw if anything happened again- or if Ramshackle were to collapse on itself. Azul made sure his VIP door was almost always open to you if you needed financial advice, and he made good on his promise to get you an easy job. The Twins, well....they did their thing. Kalim invited you to every party he threw (not that he didn't do that before) and gave you gifts from his homelands, providing you with furniture and decorations for Ramshackle. Jamil made sure you ate well, cooking whenever he felt you were having a bad day. Vil helped you with skincare and Alchemy work, even lending you some potions to use in "emergency" situations if you ever came across unsavory folks. Rook was- well, he was Rook. Epel offered a helping hand in the way of a beating if anybody messed with you. Idia and Ortho made certain that you had more than enough tech to keep you on a level playing field with magic-users. Malleus lent a shoulder to cry on and a venting buddy. Lilia and Sebek taught you self-defense. Silver was also a venting buddy, but he offered less than reasonable solutions to your problems (most of which were purely for chuckle purposes). And Grim tried to get into less trouble. Tried.
And all of the Housewardens kept their promise about researching a way to get you home. You'd receive updates on their progress once a week. Sometimes they'd have a bit of info found in an old library book that might have been about your world, or maybe a passage found on dimensional travel. Sometimes they wouldn't have any updates, but they'd still be sure to tell you.
And as for Crowley himself. Well....Malleus wasn't lying when he said that he had him tied up in Diasomnia's basement. It gave you an opportunity to have a nice little "chat" with the Headmage without him interrupting with his incessant babbling. It almost pained you to take the gag off of him. But the two of you came to an agreement that you wouldn't be doing his work for him anymore. You would be living in Ramshackle for free, not only because you and Grim were a student together, but because it was the Mirror's fault you were trapped here. You owed Crowley nothing for merely existing in the wrong place.
And you started to feel better about life, bit by bit. With almost all of the pressure taken off of you, it made life feel more easy, more relaxing. You started to enjoy your time in Twisted Wonderland, even! Maybe if there really was no way for you to go home, then you could make a happy life for yourself here.
Maybe.
Maybe not.
But it was nice to have the option. And it was nice to feel okay since this all started.
You were better.

Can you do brother Gojo find out his younger brother got bullied Gojo and Geto confront the bully.
And the au is that Geto and Gojo are in University and M/n is a high schooler.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
IMAGINE — satoru’s brother being bullied!
— SATORU & SUGURU
You kind of expected that this would happen later on but the outcome wasn't something you expected either. The first time it happened was a total shock to you.
You tolerated them as much as you could. From getting your money stolen from you to getting shoved into lockers daily.
To be honest, you were embarrassed. A gojo — getting bullied? What will your brother think of you if he finds out about it. You were afraid to tell anyone even your own blood relatives about it.
It took one fight for him to find out about it.
You were sat beside the window—the sun kissing your face as you hummed to yourself. It was a free period. You had friends but they were in another class.
You flinched when a hand slammed on your table—you look up to find two boys and a girl. It was them again. They were making fun of you, grabbing your bag and letting its contents drop on the ground. You were glad you had your wallet inside your pocket or else they would've taken it.
It was quite an expensive brand!
One led to another and you were at the principal's office with a black eye and a dislocated finger.
Satoru was there alongside his best friend; Suguru who you often see hanging around in Satoru and yours penthouse. The white haired male looked pissed off—his sunglasses covering his eyes but you can tell he was analyzing your injuries. The color purple doesn't suit your features at all.
You were given a suspension for a week while the other was given two days because you were the one who punched him first. Which was true. But it was self defense! Right?..
The whole week was hell for you. Your face and arm hurts like heck! But that was at the bottom of your problems. Satoru was nowhere to be seen. You had a feeling he was up to no good but shrugged it off. He always does that so what's the difference?
As long as it didn't involve you, you were in the clear.
A few days later and Satoru came by to check up on you—he was happy. Too happy. Though it didn't bother you at all, he was always like that from the beginning anyways.
“What got you in a good mood today?"
Satoru snickers, covering his mouth with his hand. “Nothin' at all.” You look at him with suspicion, unsettled by his constant giggling and uncleared intentions. “Okay, you're starting to creep me out asshole.”
Satoru sighs. “You have one potty mouth, young man!.. anyways, me and suguru planned something just for you!” he stood up, stretching his arms upwards before wearing his shades.
“um.. okay?”
By the time you were at your destination, you weren't expecting a literal warehouse. This was unlike him, buying a creepy warehouse in an unsettling place? It was literally surrounded by trees and little to no houses.
Satoru whistled, looking over his shoulder to keep an eye on you as the two of you neared the door on the side. “Tadaa!”
He held his hands out, shaking them as he pointed towards the three people sitting in the center of the warehouse. The light shone down at them as they wiggled against the tight ropes they were placed in. “hmmpf!”
“Noisy aren't they? Haha!”
You were mortified to say the least, questioning your older brother's intentions with his captives. You hoped you wouldn't end up like them.
“Who are these people, satoru-? And why are they here?” Your breath hitched as your gaze fell on a figure that was leaning against a table. You weren't sure what was placed there.
You can barely make their features out excluding the overly black clothing they wore. “Suguru! I thought you said they wouldn't wake up for another 30 minutes.” Satoru whined, slumping his shoulders forward.
“what? I was only off by a couple of minutes.” The other male replied, hopping off the table and slowly approaching the three captives.
“What's going on, Aniki?”
Satoru looks at you, his shades tilted downwards as his blue eyes stare into your terrified ones. “This was the surprise I was telling you about. They were quite dumb and easily fooled but that made the job easier, right Suguru?”
“especially the girl.” Suguru scratched the back of his neck.
Satoru shook his head, grinning. “ah, ah, ah! Y/n will do the honors of going first.” he ushered you infront of them. He went to the table to get something as you gulped.
You recognize them now. They were your bullies.
“This one looks good, right?” Satoru inspects the bat he was holding, a firm grip on it. He quickly went back to the rest, beside his brother.
“Hold onto this. By now, you should know what's going on right? No need to act dumb.” Satoru lets out a giggle, handing the bat over to a clueless you!
You held the bat tightly, sweating. You didn't know what to do, this was wrong. No, beyond it. Much worse than words can comprehend. “Take the middle’s bag off his head, sugu.”
The black haired male complied.
Your breath hitched once again, your arms and legs felt like they were jelly. You were shaking—the boy looks at you with panocked eyes but once he recognises you—it turns into terrified.
“Y/n?... y/n! Please, help me- us!”
You shook your head, backing up. “How did you get here? Did my brother?..”
“Please! They'll kill us, please! I'm begging you.”
“Hit him with all you got. Don't mind his plea for help. He didn't stop and help you when you were the one in their situation.” Satoru's voice echoed throughout the warehouse, sending chills down your spine.
You take a step forward, lifting the bat slightly as the boy looks at it with wide eyes. He was trying to shuffle away.
“No - I can't.. I won't.” You shook your head, breathing heavily. “This is wrong - so wrong, 'toru.” you backed up.
The male rolled his eyes in response. “stop being a wuss and be a man. If you won't do it then we will.” Satoru approached you, taking the bat away from you. Both of his hands were placed on the handle, a vice grip on it. He chuckled seeing the expression the boy had as he approached him.
Safe to say you were traumatized by the gory scene that unfolded. The sight made you want to vomit the contents inside your stomach. You weren't a fan of blood.
You can still hear them screaming at the back of your head. The agonizing pain they went through.
Even after Satoru and Suguru cleaned up the scene and headed back to the penthouse with you, they were still laughing about it—making fun of each of their expressions.
They were monsters. Absolutely—no doubt of it. The two showed no remorse, and that's something you are afraid of.

Does taking self-defense classes have any positive change in the mindset?
Does taking self-defense classes have any positive change in the mindset?
I had some unpleasant experiences with my safety on the streets and was relentlessly looking for self-defense classes near me. I pushed my boundaries of potential, and things have changed since then for me, positively. And I feel blessed that I got to learn all these amazing things from Krav Maga Experts. All the instructors are highly experienced in this martial art form and focus on developing the agility of the trainee's mindset.

Eternity and Counting
(Pt1) This is a running piece I've nearly finished, but the whole thing is way too long to post as one chapter sooooo... This part's pretty short just for the sake of timeline splitting.
Obey me! X Angel!MC (They/Them Pronouns)
TW: Suicide, depression, self-deprecation, death, big feelings, lots of sad, everybody is crying like all the time
MC just can't handle anything anymore and takes their own life. Imagine their dismay to find even death isn't the end for them.
(Takes place in the Frost Flowers event (sorta?), with mild "that chapter where MC finds out they're the Bridge" spoilers. Can't remember which chapter that was.)
~/\~
It's so heavy. This grand weight I've been lugging around since that day. I should have died. I was supposed to die. I would have deserved it too. All I've ever managed to do was cause problems for this family. And maybe I still am. The idea almost stopped me. Visions of their faces. Their tears. Their grief. It did, actually. A few times at least. But not today. It's happened again. Everything was going just fine until that God-forsaken dog decided I would be the object of his affection. Somehow, in spite of the threat it faced to the nation, the brothers refused to just hand me over. Almost losing not just their home, but their kingdom, for my sake. Yet again wasting their time trying to save me. Just like they did when my stupid power nearly killed Lucifer. When Lucifer nearly killed HIMSELF to save me. A bitter, evil part of me is still mad at Michael for stopping me. For saving me.
My arms feel heavy as lead as I lay here, counting away the seconds. I've got nearly an hour before anybody gets home from RAD. Plenty of time to make sure I stay dead. I feel a little bad for lying about being sick to get out of classes today. But maybe I am. Doesn't matter much now anyway. Really, my biggest concern in the current moment is how long it will take Barbatos to notice the ingredients I took. Sure, he's in classes right now too, but he pops in and out of the castle all day long. The likelihood of him stopping into the kitchen and noticing the cracked cabinet door, the scavaged shelves, and finally the open jars is uncomfortably high. In my defense, the chances of that happening while I was there were equally high, so I can't be blamed for the messy crime. But he's only got a few moments more before his discovery will be for naught, so I suppose it's not terribly worrying.
I can feel it, creeping up my spine like a cold massage. The ever-growing numbness. The slow death of my limbs. My lungs. Me. It's growing darker now, unnaturally so, even for The Devildom. I can finally free them of my burden. Free myself of it too. But I would like to offer a final scorn to whatever God allowed me to hear the gentle creaking of the front door.
~/\~
(Mammon's POV)
A chill runs through my spine, like something ominous is lurking behind me, but as I turn around, nobody's there. In spite of that comfort, I can't shake this overwhelming dread coating my nerves and sinking into my bones, urging me to move. Driving me to jog home. The gentle sway of the bag on my arm becoming notably more violent as it begins swinging by my side.
My hands can't work fast enough as I try to unlock the front door. I break into a near sprint as I approach their door, slamming it open.
"MC?" I call, it's dark in their room, but I can just make out the shape of their body resting in their bed. "Oh, you're just sleeping." I mumble, walking up to their bed and setting the bag on the ground next to it.
"Hey, I gotcha some human world medicines." I whisper, pulling a few bottles from the bag. "C'mon, you gotta wake up and take some."
I can't help but roll my eyes at their lack of reaction. "Been spending too much time with Belphie." I reach up to shake their shoulder gently.
Nothing happens. So I try again, fingers gripping just barely tighter. Tight enough to feel the unsettling chill of their skin. It seeps through my fingertips and into my soul. Gripping my heart in white hot fear.
"MC, wake up." I shake them again. "MC." Their name falls from my lips like a plea. "MC please-" I grab their other shoulder. "MC!" Tears spill from my eyes, breath shaky and ragged. "Wake up!"
(Raghhhh, sorry about this)
