Eton College holds a cherished place in the annals of His Serene Highness the Count of Münnich and Reutern’s family history, with their connection dating back to its very foundation.
The illustrious Founder of Eton College, King Henry VI, is His Highness’s seventeenth great uncle. This noble lineage traces its roots through his half-brother, The Count’s seventeenth great-grandfather, Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond. Notably, King Henry VI was also a great-grandson of His Serene Highness’s eighteenth great-grandfather, John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster.
The family’s ties to Eton College have remained steadfast across generations. Many generations of The Count’s grandfathers and extended family members were privileged attendees of this institution. From those bygone days to the present, Eton College continues to hold a special place in the hearts of His Serene Highness’s family.

This December marks the 600th anniversary of the birth of King Henry VI in Windsor Castle. The only son of King Henry V, he succeeded to the English throne at the age of nine months upon his father's death in 1422, and succeeded to the French throne on the death of his maternal grandfather, Charles VI, shortly afterward. In 1461 he was temporarily deposed before regaining the throne for a year from 1470 until his death in 1471, and disputed King of France from 1422 to 1453. He is one of the ten monarchs buried in St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. King Henry VI of England is The Count of Reutern's seventeenth great uncle, through his half-brother, Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond, the Count's sixteenth great grandfather, he was also a great-grandson of His Serene Highness's eighteenth great grandfather, John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster.

The Count of Münnich and Reutern visited Kensington Palace yesterday to lay a floral tribute in memory of his late cousin, Diana Princess of Wales.
Many people, including Nicky and Caroline are coming out every year to lay flowers for the past 25 years to mark the occasion of Princess Diana's birthday and the day she tragically died in Paris. They also come out to celebrate Royal events and occasions.
The Count is pictured with Nicky (L) and Caroline (R ) at the Kensington Palace Gates in London.

It is with sadness that the Count of Münnich and Reutern has learnt of the passing of his twelfth cousin, Countess Maria Immaculata of Toerring-Jettenbach, widow of His Serene Highness's eighth cousin, Count Hans Heribert of Toerring-Jettenbach (1903 - 1977).
On Saturday, 12th September, 2020, the Törring family gathered in a private funeral to lay to rest Countess Maria Immaculata. Given the danger posed by COVID-19, as well as rising contagion rates across Europe, the family decided this was the most responsible and safe manner to bid farewell to the late Countess.
