As I am approaching being two months on testosterone or well technically 8 weeks, I feel like it’s necessary to mention this old gem of a hoodie. You see, this hoodie isn’t just any hoodie. This particular hoodie was purchased at a #winndixie lmao in a discount bin one evening after school my senior year. Normally and generally speaking, items that I’d buy in said discount bins would have little to no emotional or sentimental value to me. However, this particular hoodie was worn almost every single day of school that year which also happened to be the year that I came out to everyone I know and love as my true self, the Oliver that I am and have always been. For those of you that went to high school with me, you probably remember this sweater vaguely and usually it was coupled with a brown leather jacket over top of it to make myself more masculine. Everyone could tell that I was more at peace when I would wear the leather jacket and grey hoodie combo. Even if it was 86° outside and sunny, you’d catch me wearing this hoodie all year my senior year (and even some of last year as well). These days, my beloved hoodie that is in a way, an old friend to me doesn’t fit me anymore but it will forever be cherished as a friend in a way and a beautiful memory 💕 stay tuned friends, for I might write a song about this in a few weeks.
