LEAVE SQUARES AND OPPOSITIONS ALONE !!!
Hey y'all, wanted to talk squares 'cause there's some misconceptions floatin' around. Squares don't mean conflict or challenge, they just show how planets mix in your personality.
Like, in my chart my Venus in Aquarius squares Mars in Taurus. This means I loves me some luxury - comfort, quality items, all that good stuff is my jam. But it don't cause issues! Venus in Aquarius also gives me a funky eclectic style.
One day you'll catch me dining fancy in Paris ( no kidding I did that ) , the next kickin' back in colorful secondhand clothes sippin' a beer ( kadiköy Istanbul lol for those who know it ) . And lemme tell ya, I clean up real good glammin' it up too! There's no inner struggle, I'm just multifaceted like that.
Oppositions get a bad rap too but they ain't nothin' to fear. It just means planets work different, and together that's balance. Like yin and yang.
Sure, some placements can stir up their own brand of nonsense.to be honest with you I see the challanges in some planets and in some houses for example pluto in the 7 th house or lilith in fourth house stuff like that .
But squares and oppositions? Nah, they's part of what makes us individuals. Not every aspect gotta be doom and gloom!
Same shit goes for synastry . The other day I checked the synastry of the man who abused me when I was 16 years and it was full of trines and sextiles !!!! CRAZY right !!!
Anyway, hope this gave a more lighthearted perspective. We're all works in progress, so no need stressin' small stuff. Keep on keepin' on just bein' you, friends! Til next time đ€

The 25 Best Taylor Swift Gifts Will Never Go Out of Style
Curated with the help of a Taylor Swift style expert
With every Taylor Swift sighting in 2023âout to dinner, at a football game, out to dinner with the guy from the Chiefsâthe singer gives fans a window into her personal style and inspiration for holiday shopping. According to Sarah Chapelle, creator of the fashion identification site Taylor Swift Style (@taylorswiftstyled on Instagram) and author of a forthcoming book on Swift's relationship with fashion, Taylor Swift's style is defined by three pillars: a high-low mix of luxury designers and more accessible, high-street brands, a habit of rewearing the same pieces multiple times, and a love of supporting small businesses alongside globally recognized brands. "This trifecta works in tandem and, I believe, supports her natural inclination and taste in style but also helps to project [her] friendly, approachable image," Chapelle explains.
It's also highly shoppable. The high-low mix in Swift's wardrobe and beauty routine means there are plenty of Swift tested-and-approved gifts to purchase ahead of the holiday season. "In addition to official merchandiseâthere are a few rare pieces that have their own cult-like statusâSwifties are typically motivated when one of Taylor's fashion exacts is priced more accessibly than the haute couture designer goods," Chapelle says.
...
If you really want to put in the research for your favorite Swiftie, consider shopping secondhand for a piece Swift wore in a past era. "[I]f someone managed to find a secondhand exact piece from Taylor's fashion archives that I've loved," Chapelle notes, "that would be such a great gift for someone like myself who has a highly detailed fashion index going back years." (For any friends reading, Chapelle's most wanted are a green Elie Saab bag and a Topshop coat Swift wore in 2014.)
...
Ahead, shop the 25 best Taylor Swift gifts for fans of every era, onstage and off. The lineup ahead includes Chapelle-recommended pieces worn by Swift, my personal favorites from Swift's recent street style, and items inspired by Swift's expansive musical catalog.

Effortless Spring Style: Calm Blues
Harvey attended the Disney Upfronts in mid-May looking cute and breezy in this aqua green crochet camp shirt from Target worn with black slacks and a pair of turquoise Dr. Martens loafers.
The loafers are sadly discontinued, though you can sometimes find them secondhand on sites like eBay or Depop. There is also a version of this style available in a much less vibrant blue available via Zappos.
The shirt is still available and comes in sizes up to U.S. men's XXL.
Harvey accessorized with an elegant pearl pendant necklace, possibly the same one he wore to the Garfield movie premiere. Though it's hard to be sure in these photos, it looks very similar to this 18 karat white gold pearl pendant from Tiffany & Co.
Mixing Simplicity & Luxury
Sarah of @taylorswiftstyle (one of the major inspirations for me starting this blog in the first place) often talks about the ways in which Taylor mixes "high" and "low" fashion, pairing expensive designer items with things that are more within an average middle-class person's budget. This is one of the many ways she forges a stronger connection with her fanbase, balancing the aspirational with the accessible.
I believe Harvey does something similar, though perhaps with a slightly different motivation. He has spoken in the past about the lack of size inclusivity in fashion, and how difficult it can be to find nice clothing if you're over a certain size. Luxury and designer fashion are often even less inclusive, and these factors led to Harvey styling himself for red carpets and media events until just a couple of years ago.
He's also talked about his approach to finding pieces he likes by looking in random places, leaning on accessories such as shoes and hats, and not getting attached to only one style or store. He has said he invests in pieces he really likes when he finds them, and wears the things he loves until they fall apart.
These are familiar strategies for those of us who love fashion but don't fit the mainstream fashion world's physical ideal. I've always loved shoes, scarves, hats, and jewelry because it's much easier to go into any store that sells those things and have a reasonable expectation that something will fit me. And when I love an item, I really love it, and wear it until I can't anymore. Truth be told, most of the sewing skills I've learned have just been a desperate attempt to prolong the life of a favorite dress or pair of pants after they begin to show wear and tear.
Though Harvey now has access to stylists and at least one talented designer who's more than happy to dress him for big events (and I'm tapping my watch at the rest of them, why aren't you absolutely begging to get your clothes on this beautiful man?), it's clear he still holds to those tenets that served him well when nobody was styling or dressing him. He will still pair an affordable shirt with a luxury accessory, and look amazing doing so. Because who cares where the items came from if they look good and make you feel good wearing them?
So while I do believe Harvey aims to be a style inspiration to other plus sized people--he has said as much after all--I also believe this grew initially out of his own struggles with having a lack of such style inspirations and icons for himself. This has shaped his relationship to fashion and how he presents himself in that space. There is a dimension of representation and advocacy to his style that grew out of his own frustration with the fashion world's lack of inclusivity.
Affordable Options
While the Target shirt already falls into the realm of affordable, the rest of the outfit might be another story. So I've come up with some options for anyone interested in recreating this look on a budget!
You can find beautiful and affordable pearl pendant necklaces on Etsy. Here are just a few examples!
Genuine Akoya White Pearl Pendant from TADragon, $89.95
Sterling Silver Minimalist Pearl Necklace from MrsQCreation, $19.56 (currently on sale)
Natural Pearl Simple Necklace from BeadHouseCo, $23
These black athletic dress pants from Old Navy are currently on sale for $25. If you're more comfortable with fitting women's pants, these high-waisted OGC chinos also from Old Navy are a great option and on sale for $24.
The turquoise loafers were a bit harder, but these $60 Minnetonka slip-ons from Shoe Station are a decent option if you can't find the Dr. Martens on eBay for a reasonable price.

A huge component of injustice in the modern world is flattening image and reality.
That has always been sort of timeless, and it's sort of part of how societies that skew heavily towards hierarchies use aesthetics as the means to clock the 'place' of a person, environment, or object. But given that many more people see... stuff, every day, thanks to the internet and advertisements the effect is not local to what you personally witness, it's extremely widespread.
Don't get me wrong-- the power to spread imagery has also had positive impacts. Modern anti-war protests wouldn't be the same without photojournalism that spread witness of war realities to the greater world. Images that depict ordinary people, and especially marginalized people in daily life are self-evident proofs of humanity and existence when art can be skewed by wealth towards being a self-portrait of the rich and powerful. Stuff like that.
But the structure of our world and how it thinks and breathes now is still very powerful and all tools will reinforce that first unless purposefully turned against that structure. The power to assert reality is also the power to create alternate reality and you can see it every day today. Entertainment and news are blended together in new ways. "Lifestyle" content depicts curated imagery as a form of reality, often imagery that reinforces what a successful person looks like, what a rich person looks like. Or the ideals people with that wealth would prefer others hold.
I challenge anyone to find an 'aesthetic' or 'curated imagery', 'a look that invokes emotions or a sense of intuition' that 1) isn't just a form of discrimination like racism or sexism or ageism, or bias against fat or disabled bodies, and 2) can't be achieved by borrowing items, cooperation, paying artists as you have ability to, collecting secondhand things, travel to another location, and a time investment (something that our modern world blames working-class and poor people for having if they don't have money, tries to eliminate.)
'You actually CAN'T tell anything from the image' is the core of many seemingly baseless freakouts by hierarchical conservative mindsets. In fact, it's the most effective way to sell those mindsets to people who don't have any wealth at stake: fear that they can't discern actual reality, a need to control the images around them instead. Transphobia and also control of gender expression in all people. Bias against those who don't have or don't publicly display markers of hitting certain life goals like marriage or householding. The need for poor people to 'look poor,' the insecurity of the middle class in physical space and the resulting surveillance culture in many neighborhoods, the hatred of any marginalized classes enjoying luxuries as 'tacky', or even just seeing them in public. Hatred of seeing children they do not control in public. Thin people of the majority race in plain clothes as 'a fit' but fat people and people who aren't the majority race in plain clothes as 'not caring enough,' and more.
Hell, even the whole 'hatred of piercings dyed hair tattoos' thing plays in. It wraps 'the bliss of the Other being easily identified by Shibboleths, even when they're my same race' and 'I need others to look the same around me, I don't want to stick out as living incorrectly,' in a neat little burrito. Both of which easily are gateways to, 'Support for Austerity: Poors Don't Get Nice Things, 'How To Clock Queers,' and finally 'Nazi Phrenology.'
Caring so much about imagery seems like a vanity thing. But the anxiety is actually about 'reality' and seeing conflicting images that 'compromise it.' Flattening complex reality into imagery that can be sorted without fail onto a hierarchy has always been a part of top-down, oppressive structures. Think like, feudal systems where the only art or imagery that has power 'belongs' to the church, to magistrates, or to nobility. But now with the ability to broadcast images to the entire world, hierarchy's alternate reality can feel like it envelops the globe.

So like. I'm on social security for my disability. It's never been an issue collecting dolls because collectables and hobby items don't count against the asset limit in the US. However, profits do- so if I want to sell my 3 now rare and pricier dolls, I need to figure out how to manage that while reporting as needed without vastly undercharging and without accidentally committing fraud or some shit. Their individual values went from around $500 per doll new to $800, each, on the secondhand market. I'm not kidding. But apparently if I sell for a profit that counts as "income" and I'm wondering if I'm just stuck keeping these dolls until I'm in a life situation where I can sell them for what they're worth? Because that's a $300 difference, per doll. I don't want to waste it because the government is stingy about allowing people with disabilities anything that even *looks* like a luxury.

Since we started eating kosher we order and do takeout food from out much much less (like twice a month down from 1-2x per week.) so our groceries bill naturally has gone up quite a bit, and it isnât the cost of the kosher food because the only thing thatâs really a significant increase is meat and we have only had 1 meat meal per month at our house the past 2 months (it just isnât something we feel we need more often. We eat fish a lot now. And itâs easier this way) so it isnât that weâre buying more expensive food items, Iâm pretty sure. I didnât grow up with any type of budgeting knowledge, education or experience. I kinda thought of food as something that was always a âjustifiableâ expense so not something to worry about the budget, cus you can always be frugal elsewhere like buying secondhand clothes and not buying expensive cosmetics or other luxury items. I realize thatâs a privileged outlook. Tbh I do have ADHD in the way that, just getting everything into the house that I need to create cohesive, nutritious, enjoyable, kosher meals feels like a miraculous accomplishment for me. Like itâs a lot for me I know it sounds basic. But I have recently been struggling with huge guilt over the price/cost of groceries. Idk if we are spending more or the same or less on food overall cus as I said, I never had the wherewithal to budget for that. I always just figured weâd be ok and so far we have been but thatâs kinda a scary way to go about things. Iâm always questioning what I can afford. And the fact that I donât contribute financially really makes me worry because itâs so much all on my husband and Ideally I want to do everything I can to negate the stress. But I havenât honestly done much work toward that in this specific regard (I have been successful in saving money in other arenas, such as not buying many new items and making do w what we have, mending things when they break instead of replacing)
Idk itâs a combination of things. When I was growing up, I remember buying normal sized packages of food items for like less than $2 and now it feels like no single package of food is less than $4.75 at the store (Iâm exaggerating there but really, when did bread become $6? When did a box of Oreos become more than $5? Maybe I just didnât pay attention until recently but everything feels too expensive..)
Not to mention the time expense of cooking, but of course Iâm so so happy to do it. But it is something I cannot help but to factor in because whenever Iâm doing a sustained task like that, my kids are likely missing out on my attention for a bit and it can be distressing for all involved. Iâm just trying my best and Iâm pretty sure we are doing ok but how do people afford to do all this and also have lots of kids and then send them all to the Hebrew day schools đ when I first started having kids I was determined I would homeschool them but more and more Iâm realizing Hebrew day school would be ideal in many ways. But like, how on earth to afford such a thing? And camp? And yeshiva and college? Like. Where is this money coming from ⊠and when I do go back to the workforce how am I going to manage the household to the standard I want âŠ? Just how đ idk idk. Iâm having a lack of faith moment I guess because it has all worked out in the past so , I should just do my best and realize that things will be ok.
Iâm having like these racing guilt and anxious thoughts. Idk whyâŠ
It is for sure time (overdue acrually) for me to make a groceries budget. I know that.

Waiting on a package for a secondhand Freewrite Traveler. I've spent a good half a year debating to get one.
Considered the Alpha Neo 2, which would be the cheapest option. But I worry with aging tech, how I'd be able to get data off it. Example, USB ports are not the same on modern computers now.
Considered the Japanese product of the Pomera DM250. The price point is still high with some more functionality but also several more steps to pull data from.
So the Freewrite Traveler is definitely a luxury item, even secondhand. I will experiment with it for the next few months as I try to spin up my stories and articles concepts. I really want to self publish, but I need to actually complete something.
I've written several things by hand and I like it, but I wasn't able to keep it going. I think I just prefer writing on a keyboard. I've got part of a story started by hand, counted words by hand, and am not really looking forward to typing it up again lol. I wish I had more time in the day.

Fashion on a Budget: Thrift Store Hauls and DIY Clothing Ideas
Fashion is often associated with high price tags, making it difficult for many to keep up with the latest trends. However, there are numerous ways to stay stylish without breaking the bank. Thrift store shopping and DIY clothing projects are great options for those looking to save money while still looking fabulous.Â
Thrift stores offer a treasure trove of hidden gems, from vintage designer pieces to unique finds that can be tailored to fit your style. DIY projects allow you to create unique custom pieces that reflect your individuality. In this blog, we'll explore the world of budget fashion, sharing our favorite thrift store hauls and DIY ideas to help you look your best without spending a fortune.
Thrift Store Styles
Classic Designer Haul
Classic designer hauls from thrift stores are a fantastic option for fashion-conscious individuals looking for unique, high-quality clothing at affordable prices. Thrift stores often stock pre-owned garments from luxury brands that are no longer available, such as Chanel and Gucci.Â
With a little searching, it's possible to find timeless pieces like blazers, trench coats, and silk scarves that can elevate any outfit. Moreover, purchasing from thrift stores helps reduce textile waste and promotes sustainable fashion.Â
Classic designer hauls are a perfect way to indulge in high-end fashion without breaking the bank while being environmentally conscious. These designer products will enhance your wardrobe and your style.Â
Traditional Clothing Haul
Thrift stores offer an excellent option for finding traditional clothing items, which are often expensive to buy new. You can score unique pieces that add character to your wardrobe with patience and searching.Â
From embroidered blouses to handmade shawls, thrift stores carry a variety of traditional clothing options from different cultures. Moreover, buying secondhand clothes is an eco-friendly and sustainable way of shopping, as it reduces textile waste and carbon footprint.Â
So, next time you want to update your wardrobe, consider visiting your local thrift store to see what hidden gems you can find. These traditional outfits will make you stand out from the monotonous designs and dresses.Â
Retro Athleisure Haul
Retro athleisure is a popular trend that blends vintage sportswear with modern style. It's comfortable, trendy and perfect for a casual look. Thrift stores are an excellent place to find retro athleisure pieces at pocket-friendly rates.Â
You can find sweatshirts, tracksuits, and sneakers from Adidas, Nike, and Reebok brands. You can create a unique, sustainable, affordable, fashionable style by shopping at thrift stores. So, if you're looking for a new style, go for a retro athleisure haul at your local thrift store.
Vintage HaulÂ
A vintage haul is a great option for those who love thrift shopping. These treasures from the past offer unique and one-of-a-kind fashion finds that are often more affordable and sustainable than buying new clothing.Â
Vintage hauls can include anything from retro dresses, denim jackets, and band t-shirts to quirky accessories and statement jewelry. The appeal of vintage clothing is that it allows you to express your style while also contributing to reducing the industry's environmental impact.Â
So, next time you browse the thrift store, consider a vintage haul for a fun and sustainable shopping experience. Your vintage collection will outperform and offer you an aesthetic look wherever you want.Â
DIY Clothing Ideas
Embroidered Jeans
Embroidered jeans are a fun and creative DIY idea that can give new life to old denim. Choose a pair of jeans and gather embroidery floss in various colors to get started. Then, sketch your design onto the jeans with a washable marker or pencil.Â
Use embroidery stitches like the backstitch, French knot, and satin stitch to fill the design with your chosen colors. Once you're finished embroidering, gently wash the jeans to remove any markings and secure the embroidery.Â
The result will be a unique and personalized pair of jeans that show off your style and creativity. You can even go for a skilled embroidery artist if you want more specific designs. It will offer a luxurious look to the dress.Â
Fringed Tank Top
A fringed tank top is a trendy DIY clothing ideal for warmer months. To make one start with a plain tank top in a color of your choice. Cut the bottom hem off and then make a series of cuts up to the desired length of the fringe. You can use scissors or a rotary cutter for this step.
Once the cuts are made, pull each strip of fabric to create the fringe. To finish the look, add embellishments such as beads or sequins. This easy project can be completed in just a few hours and is a great way to update your summer wardrobe.
Upcycled Sweater
Transforming an old sweater into a stylish and unique garment is a great option for upcycled clothing and reducing waste. Choose a sweater you no longer wear, or find one at a thrift store. Cut off the sleeves and collar to create a vest, or turn it into a cardigan by adding buttons.
Use fabric scraps/patches to add embellishments, such as pockets or patches. If the sweater is too large, take it at the sides to create a more flattering shape. With a little creativity and DIY spirit, you can give new life to an old sweater and create a one-of-a-kind wardrobe piece.Â
Tie-dye T-shirtÂ
Tie-dye t-shirts are an awesome way to transform plain white tees into colorful works of art. You'll need a white cotton t-shirt, dye, rubber bands, and gloves to create your tie-dye shirt. Start by twisting and tying the shirt in various places using rubber bands.Â
You can create different patterns and designs. Then, mix the dye according to the package instructions and apply it to the shirt using a squeeze or spray bottle. Let the dye set for several hours or overnight, then rinse the shirt in cold water until the water runs clear.Â
Finally, wash the shirt in the washing machine and enjoy your one-of-a-kind DIY creation! Youngsters readily use this DIY idea to look stylish. Startup businesses are also trying this idea in creating different types of comfortable and stylish clothing.Â
ConclusionÂ
In conclusion, fashion doesn't have to come at a high price. Thrift store hauls and DIY clothing ideas are a great way to express yourself and stay on a budget. By learning how to style thrift store clothes, you can find unique and vintage pieces that make a statement in your wardrobe.
DIY projects allow you to transform old clothing into something new and personalized. Not only do thrifting and DIY save money, but it's also environmentally friendly. So next time you need a wardrobe refresh, consider checking out your local thrift store or trying out a DIY project.Â
You may be surprised at the amazing thrift store finds and creative possibilities that await you!

I'm disabled, plus-sized and live in a relatively small flat.
I don't have the privilege of having space available to lay out patterns and sew my own clothes.
Plus-size people generally keep and wear their clothing until it falls apart, because it's so hard to find things that fit/flatter them, suit their sense of style and they tend to be much more expensive than straight-sized clothing, so hand-me-downs are out of the question. And bought secondhand is rare for reason a and because b the tiktok girlies who like to thrift and "upcycle" plus sized shirts into dresses, or plus-sized pants into baggy shorts or whatever.
There's also the fact that unless you go all the way to high-scale tailored clothing, even "regular" fast fashion clothing is just getting to be worse and worse quality. I've bought I don't know how many items of clothing from retailers like Yours that have poor stitching, loose threads, small holes or gaps in seams because they were sewn from end-pieces of fabric and didn't quite cover the seam allowance. Because I have to shop online due to my disability, I don't have the luxury of being able to inspect the pieces and make sure I'm buying one without holes. I have to rely on whoever in the factory is picking for me - and as most clothes from the warehouse come wrapped in packaging, they can't be inspected for quality either. And I often only buy clothes when I absolutely need them, so I don't have the time to fuck about with returns/refunds/replacements because again, I've got to find time and ability to do those returns through the postal system because I don't even have a store in my town.
Smaller shops and boutiques just don't have clothing in my size.

Unexpected Elegance: How to Create a Luxe Look Without Breaking the Bank
Luxury doesn't have to come with a hefty price tag. With a few smart design strategies and a little creativity, you can achieve a high-end, elegant look in your home without spending a fortune. The secret lies in focusing on details, quality over quantity, and mixing high-end pieces with more affordable finds. Hereâs how to create a luxe feel in your space without breaking the bank.
1. Embrace the Power of Paint
One of the most cost-effective ways to transform a space is through paint. A fresh coat of paint on the walls can instantly elevate the look and feel of a room. Opt for rich, sophisticated shades like deep navy, charcoal gray, or muted olive green to add depth and elegance. If youâre feeling bold, consider painting one accent wall in a high-impact color. Donât forget about the ceilingâpainting it a soft shade of white or a light gray can add a subtle sense of height and space, creating a more luxurious atmosphere.

2. Invest in Statement Pieces
While you donât need to buy everything at a high-end price point, investing in a few statement pieces can make a big difference. A striking chandelier, a luxe velvet sofa, or a well-crafted coffee table can serve as the focal point of the room. These pieces don't have to cost a fortuneâlook for affordable alternatives that mimic the style of luxury items. For example, look for replica designer furniture or shop secondhand for vintage treasures that have that timeless appeal.
3. Mix High and Low-End Items
Creating a luxe look is all about balance. You donât have to fill your space with expensive items, but mixing high-end pieces with more affordable ones can create an elegant, curated feel. Pair a budget-friendly IKEA bookshelf with a vintage brass lamp, or combine a luxurious velvet throw with an affordable linen duvet cover. By mixing textures and materials, you can create a space that feels thoughtfully designed, regardless of cost.4. Play with Texture and LayersOne of the hallmarks of luxurious design is texture. To give your space a high-end feel, layer different textures throughout the room. Think soft velvet cushions, sleek leather accents, silk curtains, or a plush shag rug. Combining materials like wood, metal, and glass with rich textiles can add dimension and depth to the space. Donât overlook the power of layeringâadd a throw blanket to a sofa, stack some books on a coffee table, or layer rugs for added interest.
Checkout this page: interior design company in bangladesh
5. Opt for Metallic Accents
Gold, brass, and silver accents can instantly elevate a space, adding a touch of glamour without the luxury price tag. Look for budget-friendly decor items like metallic frames, light fixtures, or decorative trays. A brass-toned lamp or a gold-framed mirror can add elegance and sophistication without needing to splurge on more expensive pieces. Just be sure to keep metallic accents minimal and strategicâtoo much shine can overwhelm a room.
6. Focus on Lighting
Lighting can make or break the atmosphere of a room, and itâs one of the easiest ways to add a touch of luxury. Swap out harsh overhead lights for softer, more atmospheric lighting options. A statement chandelier, elegant sconces, or a couple of table lamps can completely change the mood of a space. Look for affordable lighting fixtures with a luxe aesthetic, like crystal chandeliers or brushed gold lamps, to infuse glamour into your home.

Australia's Premium Secondhand Office Furniture Market: A Look at High-Value Pre-Owned Office Furnishings
The secondhand office furniture market in Australia is evolving, with a notable trend toward high-quality, premium pre-owned pieces that merge luxury with sustainability. While secondhand office furniture in Perth and across Australia is often perceived as a cost-effective choice, a segment of this market caters to luxury furnishings that achieve significant resale values. This overview examines the most valuable pieces sold in the Australian market, identifying key items, their resale appeal, and what this trend suggests for the industry.
Why High-End Secondhand Office Furniture Commands Premium Prices
The attraction to premium secondhand office furniture comes from several distinct factors:
Craftsmanship & Durability: Renowned brands using superior materials and craftsmanship produce furniture that retains its value and appeal even after years of use.
Rarity & Unique Designs: Limited-edition or uniquely designed pieces often appreciate over time, creating scarcity that fuels higher resale values.
Sustainability Goals: More companies are choosing secondhand to meet sustainability objectives, adding both character and value to their offices.
Access to Premium Brands at Reduced Prices: The secondhand market provides an entry point to luxury brands, allowing businesses to enhance their workplace aesthetics without the high costs of new pieces.
Top Secondhand Office Furniture Sales in Australia
Several high-value items have been notable in Australiaâs secondhand office furniture market:
Herman Miller Aeron Chairs As an ergonomic standard, secondhand Herman Miller Aeron chairs sell between AUD 1,200 and AUD 2,000 per chair due to their enduring design and comfort. Businesses in Perth and beyond recognise these chairs for their resilience and status appeal.
Executive Desks by Vitra & Knoll Desks from brands like Vitra and Knoll frequently fetch over AUD 5,000 secondhand, particularly when crafted from materials such as solid wood or glass. Pieces by notable designers like Florence Knoll maintain high demand for their classic design and craftsmanship.
Custom Boardroom Tables Customised boardroom tables made from materials like marble or hardwood can reach AUD 10,000 to AUD 20,000, especially those crafted by leading designers. Their high resale value reflects the demand for unique and prestigious pieces in corporate settings.
Vintage Eames Lounge Chairs & Ottomans The iconic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman, globally recognised for its mid-century design, often sells secondhand in Australia for upwards of AUD 7,000 per set, with collectors seeking models in top condition.
USM Haller Storage Solutions Known for minimalism and customisable designs, USM Haller storage units can range from AUD 3,000 to AUD 10,000 in the resale market. Their modularity and brand reputation contribute to their high demand among businesses seeking adaptable solutions.
Factors Influencing High Resale Prices for Office Furniture
Several elements drive the premium secondhand market for office furniture in Australia:
Brand Recognition: Top brands such as Herman Miller, Knoll, and Vitra are renowned globally, making their products valuable long-term investments.
Rarity & Demand: Limited availability of discontinued or unique models increases demand, particularly for well-maintained items.
Condition: Secondhand furniture in excellent condition often commands higher prices as it requires little restoration before being used in new spaces.
Economic Trends: Businesses prioritising financial prudence in uncertain times often opt for high-quality pre-owned furniture instead of new luxury items.
Future Trends in Australia's Premium Secondhand Office Furniture Market
The growth in premium secondhand office furniture in Australia is expected to continue, driven by key factors:
Commitment to Sustainability: As sustainability becomes central to corporate values, more companies are choosing quality secondhand furniture to reflect their environmentally conscious goals.
Hybrid & Flexible Workspaces: With the shift toward adaptable office arrangements, demand for ergonomic secondhand options is on the rise, offering cost-effective solutions for comfort and productivity.
Unique Aesthetic Preferences: Companies are increasingly opting for unique, character-filled furniture over mass-produced items, making premium secondhand pieces ideal for those seeking distinctive style.
Market Expansion: As awareness grows, more high-quality furniture is anticipated in Australiaâs resale market, with potential for even higher prices.
Key Considerations for Businesses Opting for Secondhand Luxury Office Furniture
Companies interested in high-end secondhand office furniture in Perth or other regions should keep the following points in mind:
Prioritise Quality Brands: Invest in brands with a reputation for durability and quality design, as they hold their value and enhance workplace image.
Verify Authenticity: Certification and authenticity checks ensure the pieces retain their value and brand appeal.
Evaluate Condition: The resale value of high-end office furniture is heavily influenced by its condition and maintenance history, so businesses should select pieces with minimal wear and proper upkeep.
Conclusion
Australiaâs market for high-end secondhand office furniture is thriving, with strong demand for sustainable, stylish, and unique pieces that align with corporate values. As companies increasingly value flexibility and eco-conscious choices, the appeal of luxury pre-owned furniture is anticipated to grow, offering businesses both aesthetic and practical benefits. Embracing secondhand office furniture in Perth and across the country is not only a cost-effective way to create a professional, elegant work environment but also a meaningful commitment to sustainability.

Currently banging my head into the wall about people arguing about the new nendoroid packaging and missing the actual issue here beyond collecter preferences
However since this is my house and I can do whatever the fuck I want, I'm gonna talk about it
Goodsmile Company has announced that they are changing their nendoroid packaging, which on its own, is not a big deal
What IS a big deal, is how they're changing it
A plain white cardboard box, with cardboard packaging, with the intention of reducing plastic waste and being more sustainable
Which, on paper, is a good idea! Packaging can be pretty wasteful and expensive, people feel bad throwing away the current packaging, and leaving the figures IN their packaging is actually bad, as they need to "breathe" so the plasticizer doesn't leak
If all doll and toy packaging did this, it would be incredible! So much less waste, less money spent on the packaging itself, which means better prices and better quality toys!!
In practice, this is a TERRIBLE idea, for one very specific reason
Nendoroids, are not dolls. They are luxury collectables, and they have a SEVERE bootleg problem
A problem so severe, that not just the secondhand market is flooded, but the FIRSTHAND MARKET IS TOO
You can't even purchase them from the official goodsmile shop on Amazon, because Amazon has been known to mix inventory, causing bootlegs to be sold by official and reputable sellers, and improper packing, leading to damaged items and boxes
It is so severe, that the nendoroid reddit has an actual guide to purchasing new nendoroids, and heavily recommends against buying used/pre-owned anywhere, as the possibility of bootlegs is simply too high
The easiest way to identify a bootleg nendoroid is by the packaging. There are MULTIPLE different things you need to check for on the box alone, before carefully looking at the figure itself to make sure
This packaging change is going to make this problem much, MUCH WORSE
And for some reason, doll and toy collectors, some of which have outright stated before that they do not personally collect nendoroids, are weighing in on this as if they had anything to do with the conversation
A Japanese figure company changing the packaging of their most popular figure line is not going to affect Mattel, Hasbro, Jaks Pacific, or MGA selling their playline and collectors toys with overdesigned, expensive, inconvenient, and wasteful packaging. They do not care what a company in a different country in a different business are doing with their packaging. It will not affect a doll collector.
Who it WILL affect, is the dedicated community to this figure line, that is already struggling with a horrific bootleg problem, which this packaging change will only make worse, on both the new and secondhand market.
Whether or not you choose to display your collection in or out of the box is a null argument. This is going to actively make a bootleg problem much, MUCH worse than it already is
