For a 90s relic like flick, the 2020s are a goldmine. Since many of today's heartthrobs weren't even born in the 90s. They won't suspect a thing until it's too late.

So much for "I am not going to finish this"... I wanted to try working with Procreate again. And outlines and base coloring worked quite well, just shading was frustrating and so I ended up finishing it in Paint Tool SAI. I am quite happy with the outlines and also base coloring worked decently well with Procreate. I just can't figure out brush settings that make shading comfortable for me... but I might get there with practice. I will try to use it again from time to time for personal art. 

So, this is my Hogwarts Legacy MC Callisto Asher together with Sebastian Sallow. Just an afternoon off and Callisto fell asleep while Sebastian is not 100% sure how to handle this situation.

Eclipsed Chronicles Character Bios

Part I: The Main Four

It’s about time I introduced you lovely degenerates to the story @stellarnightstars and I are writing together! Or..well..have been writing together. This thing is fuckin’ five years old at the time I’m posting this.

The bios will be in four parts: the main four, the legionaries, the side characters, and the antagonists.

Before I go into heavy detail, there’s a plot point I must discuss. The story takes place three years after a seven-year-long war between two nations: Gardenia and Imago. Both counties were in a state of fascism: Imago due to the nobles thinking they were superior because they’re fae, and Gardenia due to its heavily militaristic government. To keep things simple, I’ll say that the war was declared because one of the six Gardenian Legionaries, Spartacus, wanted to show off Gardenia’s military might, and what better way to do it than to challenge the fae supremacist King Dante? Thousands of innocents lost their lives, and even children as young as 13 were drafted as soldiers. Only when Spartacus was imprisoned and Dante died did the Great Rift finally end. A new set of Legionaries were crowned in Gardenia, and a new king was crowned in Imago. Both sets of leaders now work tirelessly to fix the mistakes of their predecessors, and make their people’s lives happy ones.

Because I can’t draw to save my life, I’m using Picrews once again to portray the characters. The ones I’m using are made by brightgoat and crowesn.

Personality: Charming and bombastic, Ekaterina is what any pirate captain would aspire to be. There’s nothing she loves more than a day at sea. She craves adventure, which naturally leads to her causing chaos. However, despite her penchant for chaos, she’s strangely maternal. She still works in the army as a captain, and it’s her job to train some of the new cadets (kinda like ROTC in America; world-building will be in a post of its own). She loves them as if they’re her own children. She will go through hell to protect those she loves, even if it entails her death. No matter how hurt she is, she will always put the needs of others above her own. Against enemies in battle, she is a brutal fighter, something she’s grown to love and despise. Due to her actions in the Great Rift, she thinks of herself as a monster who cannot ever be loved.

Personality: Serious and cynical, Phoenix knows all the ins and outs of the world and how to bend them to her will. From a young age, she knew how terrible the world was. You can thank her abusive biological mother for that. She’s a realist, knowing both the good and bad parts of the world well, and how little good there is in the world. Escapism is a foreign concept to her, as she cannot fathom what a world where she’s truly happy would even look like. When she’s home, she’s usually the one that has to keep Ekaterina, her step-sister, from doing anything too stupid. When she’s away, she takes her job as an ambassador quite seriously. She works herself to death so that peace isn’t broken, for the peace of the world is directly tied to her inner peace. You can thank what she’s seen during the Great Rift for that, specifically when she had to have her left arm amputated.

Personality: Sweet and flamboyant, Sebastian does whatever she can to make people happy. She feels everything very deeply—basically she’s an empath. The arts are her life and her soul, and she’ll spend hours talking about her poems and compositions if you let her. They’re quite melodramatic, speaking like a 19th century vampire in their everyday speech. Their role as a legionary is to be an archivist of sort; they keep records, write down history as it happens, and bonk politicians on the head with a history book when their ideas would probably lead to history repeating itself. They like to research history and magic outside of their job—it’s one of the reasons why they don’t resign and become a full time poet and musician. They’re very non- confrontational, which is weird for someone in a political position. She can debate and get her ideas across just fine, but her anxiety and fear of older authority doesn’t exactly help. No matter what she does, it’s extremely difficult for her to bring herself to physically harm another. He hates that he can’t fight. He hates that he isn’t the bold leader the world needs him to be. She hates that she cries so much. She feels like she’s weak every time she cries, and that all who know her are secretly ashamed of being associated with her.

Personality: Humble and practical, Ash is an ideal king. He was quite sheltered throughout his childhood, and even now, he still doesn’t truly know much about everyday life. He can only really understand as much as his citizens tell him and during the few times he’s snuck out. After all, he’s usually so busy, he can’t even leave the castle unless it’s for business matters. He only really had friends in the current legionaries, and he can’t really contact them often because of how busy they all are. His understanding of true happy life often comes from media, his only form of escapism; particularly, movies. He’s a dreamer at heart; an old soul that wants nothing more to experience whimsy, joy, and pure love. However, he doesn’t really know what that is. His father was cruel and abusive, his mother was never in the right headspace to take care of a child due to her forced marriage with Ash’s father, and his brother never learned from his family’s mistakes. All Ash has is others’ experiences to go off of. Even so, he’s still kind and gentle, yet firm and tough when he needs to be.
