WE ARENT ALL PERFECT
Why can’t we normalise the fact girls aren’t all down to the bone skinny?
That every girl isn’t society’s views of “pretty”
We aren’t all perfect in every way,
And you remind us that everyday!
We just want to be seen as equals,
We aren’t all the perfect sequel.
Words hurt harder then you know,
So no.
We say no to things that you ask of us,
Because we can’t deal with all the bother and fuss.
When you show your friends what we said to you last night,
Or when you use us as your trophy’s, aren’t I right?
When you tell us we aren’t good enough for you,
How would you like it if you went through it to!
When you scream and shout at us for something small we did,
Oh god forbid!
The day we put you in your place,
Then you will understand the fear in our face!
When you moan and groan every night on the phone,
For reasons we don’t even understand or know.
But the day we show you who we are,
Take of these masks you’ll run so far.
Because we aren’t good enough for you?
Because I know no man who would stay to enjoy the view.
Of who we truly are and what we do for you.
So leave go cheat on us again and again,
Because that’s who you are-dumb men.
So if you find a girl broken like this,
Remember to give her a kiss.
Tell her you love her every single day,
Because she’s been through hell and you need to keep her away!
From those thoughts and reminders she has each day,
Or she’ll sink and drown in her mind.
But you have to keep her past behind,
So please don’t let God hear another girl cry herself to sleep!
Because love isn’t cheap.
The prices we pay are hard and unjust,
So remember what we just discussed.
Keep us girls nice and tight,
Because you know we don’t want to fight.
We just want your acceptance of who we are,
We don’t want you to leave in your car.
So if you know a girl who is broken like this,
Give her a darn kiss!
Tell her you love her night and day.
And you better say,
“I love you for who you are”
“Don’t you dare change who you are”
Then you will understand a girl.

What does it matter if people judge you?
We're all doing what we can. We have our own priorities , our own desires and beliefs. These shouldn't contradict each other. Instead, we should be more understanding of the fact that we are different. Nothing's going to change that. So what does it matter if people judge you? They don't understand your actions because they don't understand you.
And that's okay.
Because their opinions don't define you.
Just breathe, live and do what you want. Don't hold yourself back (as long as you don't hurt anyone). It's okay if things don't go as planned; life doesn't go as planned. Yes, we live in this judgemental society and we can only do so much to change it. Still, we can find our way out.
Although some people might tell you otherwise, it's important to remember : trying is enough. You're more than enough.
So, just try.

Screw Societal Gender Role Conventions and Expectations
I keep realizing that there is this mentality that boys are meant to toughen up and girls are meant to be protected. I want my kids, both genders, to be tough and get through hard situations, but I don’t want either of them thinking they need to adhere to societal conventions for either gender.

My New Proclamation
June 30,2017
10:55 pm
People come and people go and here I sit begging for an end to it all. Delicate flower I am not. Precious feminine female I have never been. Hardcore dancer of Satan's court I have always been; perhaps since my conception. I always wanted to be the noble woman everyone strives to be like, that everyone holds up as a light in the darkness for humanity to mirror, to marry, to grow old with. I am not this person. I am hard. My edges are sharp and will cut anyone down to their core. I am more male than female. Or, maybe I am so much of a female I cannot fully function in a world so riddled with hate. I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. Why can the world not see the beauty of love, of life, of simply being alive? Whatever the case of my personal predicament, the world thrives on hate, oppression, on dominating the narrative-the same narrative that provides power to the select few that steal the sword and swing it's blade across the ears, throats, and souls of all those who dare to stand.
I first took a drag of the cigarette in protest of a world I found hypocritical, screwed up, and quite frankly full of so much bullshit I was drowning. I wanted people to see the cigarette in my hand. I wanted the world to see that I did dance with the devil and owned that dance. I wanted the world to see that I saw it's bullshit so clearly that I deliberately chose death over living in a world mired in such hypocritical nonsense. I wanted my culture to know that I rejected it's screwed sense of norms and standards. Each flick of the cigarette to the ground was my f*uck you proclamation to a culture mired in death and oppression hidden behind the veneer of a well painted holier than thou image. That is the reason most people start smoking. It isn't to look cool like most self-righteous non-smokers believe. The vast majority of smokers use the cigarette as a symbol of belonging to the subculture of people who see right through society's veneer.
I'm still the same harden bitch I have always been, but now I understand that I need to stick around in order to hold up the mirror. I'm here to look my culture in its collective face and show it how it is destroying children, women, families-life itself. I can't be the bitch I was meant to be if I am dead. Now, each time I say no to the cigarette I am throwing down my new f*ck you proclamation to my culture: “I ain't going out like that. You ain't getting rid of me that easily. I'm going to be that tick in your ass you feel, but can't get rid of. I will hold you to account.”

I had this song on repeat the day of my high school graduation. I declared that high school was the end of me pretending to be someone else. It was the end of changing who I was for the approval of others. Despite what I was told in middle school (geesh! so early...), I knew that I was beautiful on the inside, if not anywhere else. I had my personality, and that’s what made me who I was. I decided that from that day forward, I would love myself, because how could anyone else do it if I don’t?
